"I think we. I route three of those guys before her came in. They did hurt one that one the quarterback battle over like two or three five. What about you talking about. I'm just gonna let it sit out there and see if anybody remembers his name. I don't know out talking about bright young talking about. I've told say you're way to smart of a guy to come in here and say just because he was this. And just because nick sabin is that then. That's syllogism is going to call the best quarterbacks to you you've been drinking. I don't know if bryce young johnny manziel chula or complete bust. But that is flawed. Taking my friend. "She's married to him yeah. Oh Yeah Wisconsin yes right and she came in here. We talked talked about that and she said her mom won't eat till book yeah. She won't touch white till bucks. Oh wait till do but access. Yeah shouldn't care man. It's it's a great. It's a great venison listen. It's my favorite probably. Steering Moose meat the two that to my favorite what is the most me like. I've never had it well. It's it's better than access there. I mean you say access deer and if you can imagine it being this better you know and I hunted this past Alaska. I wanted this past year in Alaska and we shot a big bowl and we we had some pancake batter. I mean we just put them. buttering scale it and cut up tenderloin in through skillet was like is better than eating doughnut it bites. It's it's really good yeah. It's it's Moose probably my all time favorite and then then access stairs peers right there behind it and everything else comes behind those I'm going to have to get a wholesome moose meat then yeah yeah would love to when you have time when I when I have less kids at home here you got the DNC social of Texas this chapter this weekend in Curve Curve Yep at a DNC members home in the Carville area. That'll be nice. They sold out that event for about seventy people subtly nice to go see familiar faces and hopefully meet some new members as well that chapter organization is really doing well. I think they're they're pretty much. The the lead the league chapter for everybody to for all the other chapters to kind of follow so I'm really I'm really proud of that chapter and honored to be associated with them. They have a fantastic board and they're doing some great things raising money for education hundred advocacy so get mad to put me to work now that I'm a member yeah man and and that's what I encourage. Everybody is if you like to haunt. You know. It doesn't matter how you haunt. I don't care if you're just a a bird hunter or just a weekend deer hunter or if you're are an international or you all over the world. I mean this. This is an organization that welcomes anybody and everybody and it's truly Dow Safari. Club is an organization that billy is boots on the ground and is fighting the fight for for US hunters and for wildlife in for hunter advocacy and hunter education so It's important right now. I think I think you knows with with the people that you talk to and you interview and hunting is scrutinized heavily because social media the and some other outlets and just a little bit just a little bit yeah and there's people out there really trying to take away from us and there's not a lot of organizations out there fighting in the fight and didn't DNC as one of those so I mean it's it's not expensive to become a member and now every membership every membership counts and that's what it goes towards and then of course they have their their convention every year in January in Dallas which is just it's a playground for for hunters a lot of cool stuff. I got a certificate. I've got some swag got stickers and some Asian and stuff like that and I think a pen or something like that yeah some cool stuff in there yeah no oh it's cool and they do a lot of great. They have a lot of great events and then they're chapter program. They've got chapters now developing all across the United States and then we have the one here which is DC south Texas which is pretty much all all of our Texas Hill country area to Austin and all the way down to the valley is included in that chapter area and so no membership if you're a member FDIC. You're a member of the South Texas so you just you just kind of click on the I think I had to click on what if there was a chapter that I wanted to say. If there was a chapter I wanted to be associated with yeah. Yeah okay so there's something we've got to talk about before we get off topic too much and forget about it so John. Reeves leaves sent me this link and already seen it but I hadn't really thought about it much and apparently the new law was passed where you can haunt feral hogs without a license yeah yeah. I saw that governor Abbot just past that just a few days ago days ago and I was like well you know we gotta get rid of these. Damn things whatever whatever and then. I was on Texas lawyers outdoors. It's a facebook page. I'm a member of the Texas lawyers in their Texas lawyers outdoors doors and we all get on there and kind of act like it's and talk about stuff but brought up a really good point and I want to know what your your perspective active on this would be lost revenue for TD PD and licenses that people are going to buy because they don't need a license to Hana Hog anymore no hunter's safety course for those people and they're using weapons and guns in the name of hunting and hunters yeah without the training and the experience is that we have what do you think about all that yeah. I'm glad you asked that question. I saw the assault the announcement before I went to British Columbia on this hunt and thought and I didn't get to really study Eddie People's feedback on it and then I think yesterday that he passed it. You hit on some really great points. My opinion is no we. I shouldn't have done it that way. Hunting license for a resident here in Texas is not expensive combos like sixty five dollars or some thing. You don't even have to buy a combo. No you're going to go to go. I think you can just buy regular license to hunt hogs or any exotic. I think that and then like twenty five bucks twenty five thirty dollars. It's it's very reasonable and and you you hit on something very important yeah. That's that's that's a that's income that that the state needs needs to put towards all while conservation projects and efforts so. I don't know what it's going to how badly we're a little bit too badly because most guys that are gonNA shoot. hogs are going still hunt deer and everything else so they're still going to have a license license or if they want to go fishing. They're still going to have that Combo license. That's exactly one of the points I said you know. Most of the people are still gonNA buy license for other but I still think that I still think we should of cut that from you know us being able to have a budget and add to that budget. I also think that on one hundred education side of things. I think that that's crucial so right now that that stays enforced because just everything else that we're fighting. I mean I know we're Texas and a lot of people WANNA. We WanNA follow the Texas model but I think that yeah I don't think governor. I don't think we thought about this really really too well. It's kind of like we went back and they wanted to all they want to invent some sort of poison to try to poison these hogs dogs which would have poisoned everything else. You know what I mean. That was kind of just wasn't thought through very well and luckily that didn't come to pass but maybe that maybe in time I'm that they'll they'll adjust this. This may be a trial and error deal. We do have a hog problem here in the state and even I think bobby that by by initiating in what they've put into place. I don't think it's GonNa fix the hog problem all that much anyway I mean we should we started on this a long time ago. Oh and hogs are even though there's a lot of hogs being shot in the helicopter hunting and everything else it's gotten popular. It seems like hogs are still you know exploding and other other areas a disgusting thing about feral hogs is that at nine months a sow is grandmother yeah nine months yeah absolutely and the letters are big and you know what I think about is how how destructive they are and all that stuff but you know it's like they breed read so fast yeah that unless you're killing a bunch of them you're not really making a dent you can't and you can't track them all because they're smart at the very smart animals once he travelled once or twice they get pretty smart too that trap and they're not going to trap them in large groups anymore. Bulletins smell to if they smell you al they're not coming around for a while yeah but here's what I was wondering if I was talking to my dad about this. Because how much do you think that the the feeding the feeding of deer and Texas has exacerbated the hulk situation because those hogs have access to corn all the time yeah no it. Does I mean you know we. I look at Texas. Even the Texas Hill country where more of an arid climate you know not not that as a desert but some months as we are in food sources are very relied on and a lot of the Texas ranchers in Texas today feed their wildlife. It's just a part of sorry Texas property now the window absolutely absolutely I think the supplemental feeding that that we as humans do with our wildlife on our own private properties definitely impacts the growth of of the wild hog because if we didn't do that hogs would have to move to where there's a water source so you wouldn't have them all the time on your property but if if they have a little bit of water and they have a food source they're not going to go anywhere you know but to get back on answering your question on the license. Do I just feel like that. I think everybody should have a hunting license I really do. I think that that I think it makes you legal. It gives you ground to stand that. I do things legally and I do things the right way way back and you're giving back yeah absolutely. I don't have a problem buying a licence. I really don't know what's thirty dollars. Yeah everywhere I go fish. I don't ever try to I by the non-resident license for three to five days or five days or whatever yeah because you know. I'm using their resources and yeah that's the right thing to do. It's the league thing to do and it puts money back into allowing somebody else or me to come back and yes that same resource yeah for Sherman. I look at it to like. Oh like on handguns. I mean you know if you WANNA you. WanNa carry a handgun. You know whatever your reason for it and you have a license for carry it all day long. You know if if you don't have a license for that pistol you're not somebody. That's very familiar with that pistol. I don't want you carry in it. Yeah you know you might shoot the wrong person yourself yourself. You know so I mean. I think that I think it was arrested decision. I'm not really sure who was behind all of that. some other people may have completely different form form an opinion on it but when was the bill even introduced. I mean that's that's kind of. I would like to know the lifeline of the bill because I know this has been a problem and it's been a discussion throughout Texas for a long time but from the time the bill was introduced to the time it passed. How long was that. I really don't know it was it was news to me. When I said I saw a week ago we can half ago the discussion about it and I think I just saw yesterday that it did that. It did pass so we'll see what impacts I don't see that it's going to in packed release eliminating this hog problem that we have. I mean everybody you know. There's a lot of processing places now that don't take the hogs you know oh because of trick and knows this and some other things that these wild just nasty who wants to work yeah exactly but there was a time where people people went through the efforts and did a lot of work to trap these pigs to take into processing places to feed soup kitchens and orphanages in different places in that but you know FDA in in some of the laws and rules behind their now now don't allow those those animals you know. I know I'm very careful. Would you know I'm always carefully this time of year. Sometimes wore nothing I wanNA honesty with any any pig right now. Flea infested taken fest yeah old parasites and worms and so I mean you got to be more careful with them than you with the white tail but the the beauty of the white tail in September yeah you know I it's usually cold and the parasite level is usually lower and now the fleas and takes and stuff are lower our hogs. You know it's just the trick is what always kind of freaks me too. I mean and if I if you're landowner in your feet and your dear you're raising dear. You're raising other exotics. I mean look at it this way. You gotTa have permits for all that yet to permits and licenses to shoot even on your own property and I think that that's just part of a management tool man you know shoot every hog you have on your property pile them up Barium and you know with the baco Burnham but you still have to permits to raise your on your property to permits ship ship dare yet permits to move exotics. You have to have a hunting license to hunt deer on your own property as well and I think that's just it's just a general rule that you know. Let's let's not break. Take this up and make it confusing because I think what's going to happen now. Is You know people are going to say well. I'd have to have a license to shoot that hog and shot him on my property. Why do I have a license to shoot this dear you know and it could it could cause a slippery slope people or different nowadays they are and I could I could see that being an issue you know and even if if if they get caught even even if they you know there's there's blowback from it..

"So Brad you liked the total to and then we're going to go to Ken, wrapping up the pig. Yeah. Besides the weather. I just think US apps offense is in a bad spot here that the their offense coordinator ended up leaving for mcneese state than their new offense scores never called plays before. And on top of that the quarterback for USF is a little bit less than a hundred percent Blake Barnett wasn't playing at all Thornton during the end of the season. He's going to expect the comeback here. But we haven't seen him at my guess is he's not quite a hundred percent. So you so your theory is instead of getting at the coordinator by liking the other team, you're getting at it through the total. Yeah. I mean, the reason. I am not on the martial side. Is that conference USA Marshall plays and conference USA that asked me a little bit leery right now liking the thundering herd side, I can wrap it up. Yeah. The martial defense to very solid defensive line. Thirty nine sacks for the team plus nineteen in that department. Blake born at Brad talked about it. He will play starting quarterback, but he's been out for a little bit. So I think he's gonna be chased. He's going to be under duress. And I think more was going to be able to call some turnovers, and you know, kind of way everything in, you know, RG when you talk about totals, and even you know, I was listening to you guys talk on the on your straight out of Vegas show. And when we start to me when I started hearing just numbers in general like the average of this team, you know, scoring this or whatever it kind of to me I I take every game separately. And the reason being I remember, you know, listening to these guys say, oh, yeah. Well, Cal with golf the ravaging forty four points at home. Yes, Seventy-three were against Presbyterian. And a game that they opened with didn't even matter. So if you take a team that played five games, and they got seventy three against somebody. Or they won say they won the game by forty five against somebody. But the other four games they only one by one or two points. And then say, oh, they won by an average of twenty six points per game. I agree. I think in college football and college basketball, we're strength. Schedule varies more than any pro sport. Averages are dangerous. I agree with you there. But in a way can your approach your kind of I watch. A thousand hours of games a month. Whatever it's probably a little high. But you watch a lot of I only say a little high forty hours a week would be one sixty eight so for the month. So you watch a lot of games. To me. That's where I think combining handicappers is best like an we might as well talk about it. I'll play it on myself as it's money time in the NFL. I mean, we went four and one and. The competition is cleared themselves out. There's one team one game ahead of us..

"Slash full cast your home for FCS playoff angst. Yeah, it's it's just it's weird because the burden as the only college football podcast is fallen us to talk about if CS in, you know, group of five and, and that's fine. You know, we're happy to do it. It just it is sometimes troubling that there aren't others willing to step up and talk about, you know, sort of these interesting corners of college football, but we'll do it because that's that's what we've been asked to do. Right? Yeah, we are the only non power, five college football podcast. There isn't another one. No, the composed of our dearest colleagues we at what might say that. Does that what might say that having no competition, we ain't play dumb by its say that also New Hampshire is very bad this year. So Delaware go in son, go in on them. Yeah, cockatiel do on that ass. Isn't she state good. Can I tell you? I have this marked as the Keith sweat special. Wait to see where this is going. Yeah. 'cause 'cause you know who you know who NC states played? Nobody bay now. Don't know. Who's on that schedule. Nobody's on my soundboard that would Malani. So they beaten Boston College and they were supposed to play West Virginia. So points for scheduling attempts. And I think we teams Madison, Virginia, Boston College, they'd beat kind of a dull across players list of schools that they apply to as a senior. Right? That's it. Cross player tweeted out on his lake expensive notes app, like my phone, four, no interviews, please? Yeah, to to retweets four likes and his like calligraphy notes at. Yeah, they have a, they have a played anybody. They really haven't now. That could mean two things when you actually haven't played anybody going into week eight. It might be a good thing because there's not that much mileage on the old tires at this point. Right? How how hard did they really have to try to beat Boston College? Actually, they had to try try Boston College isn't a bad team, so that's fine. Now, though. I mean, that's a stress test, right? It's something above just a walk, right? Yeah, they gotta turn the treadmill up a little bit. It's no Syracuse like glimpse in to do. I mean, that's that's what I, what else I was getting to. She go, we'll who's Clemson played, how they looked against them l. no, all they almost lost the Texas him, oh, they're probably needs some good protect saying conversely. It also doesn't mean a whole lot grape for for Clemson, potentially, especially at Texas am and all that Texas Ayman protects us. Amen. Amen. Agricultural land spiritual university. I guess that Stacey you, that would be, but it's so hot. What about southern Methodist? They sound like a spiritual school. Yeah. If if the Lord is a line and you could snort him that lobby Verity gospel, still an ethos may have, you know. The ponies for reason, the point being I, I don't know at this point caused footballs in amazing sport because I don't know that much about NC state, not because I have watched because having watched them, they don't look conclusively great. They were company with the sky. Fool wouldn't commission. Did that. This time the subjunctive there, forgive me. The advantage on c. state has that they haven't like shown. You're right. They haven't shown you much to be like, oh, I have great confidence in them, but they also haven't done the others like USF has also undefeated, but you has shown us plenty to be like, oh no. Oh, this is, oh boy, rotten to the core. Oh, Jesus Christ. How dare you? Slander. Blake Barnett do not do not buy this car. Oh my God. It's full of its full of weevils. You can save them. Yeah. Yeah, I don't really evils. Yeah, cool. Oh, man. Man. Just trying to earn a living..

"Ball state ten and other nice game for Stevie. Scott on the ground u. s. f. twenty five, Illinois nineteen. USF was down by twelve early in the fourth quarter. Blake Barnett round. The troops had a nice game in the very end as Fort Knox off Illinois in Soldier Field. And finally, we had Missouri knocking off Purdue by a forty two thirty seven score. This was actually a fun back and forth. Amazing, Tucker, McCain boots, a twenty five yarder at the gun to win it for Missouri nice game for David Blau who had five seventy two and three touchdowns in leading. Rivaling dear king for the honors here. Did you see the pass that ricocheted off the helmet of the Missouri safety? And I don't think it was a touchdown, but it was basically going to be, oh, really? Good defensive play that turned into a sixty five shark. Yes, I do the David Blau in drew lock both with nice games, nice back and forth. This game. Missouri really did try to give this one away, but drew lock is is really good to like is very, very good. Rowntree was very good. And if you did not see this game, go back and watch highlights or do whatever you gotta do because this game got weird. It was good. All right. Not a lot of competition in the SEC, but I'm going to run through it very quickly, Georgia, forty, nine, middle, Tennessee, seven. I did notice that the Georgia box scores are starting to look very Alabama e. Lot of ball carriers a lot of different contributors, but an impressive forty two point win. We had Kentucky with a thirty eight point win. They're off to a nice three and start by knocking off Murray state. We at Tennessee struggling a little bit, but eventually pulling away twenty four to nothing over you tip. Okay. Florida. Forty, eight, Colorado state, ten, Dan. I'm not sure if Florida looked any better along the lines. That was their problem against Kentucky. It's just that Colorado state is not as good of a team. Hence the thirty eight point w. Yeah, I can just tell you Richard with yelling, less Richard. Good, good. That's good. When he was washing this game, it was more centered on wise. Dan Mullen calling back shoulder passes for flip a Franks when he is not completing an able to complete back shoulder passes. So that was where everything was and by the way tie before it slips my mind with because you briefly and we briefly mentioned northwestern losing to Akron. Yeah. The first Akron win over big ten team since eighteen ninety four. It's a long last night. I was told by Jodi with an eye that her best friend's boyfriend who is a diehard. Northwestern fan has decided not to attend a wedding because northwestern Notre Dame is too important to miss. Let me tell you something. Weddings might have good orders. Weddings might have a good playlist. Weddings might have a sweep dance for weddings might have an awesome open bar. The upside of northwestern Notre Dame after yesterday. No became a lot lower. Go to the wedding as go to the wedding. I skipped over that game on my list here. I'm I know I'm having list trouble the last two shows. You're okay. You're okay. I'm here nine to thirty four was score in that accurate and w over northwestern. I tune this one out when it was twenty one to three at half in the morning, bright and early to do research. Wait, they lost. How did they six second-half points man. All right. Just a bunch of kids from Akron. That's right. We talked about Florida, Mississippi State with an impressive win Nick FitzGerald at six touchdowns Texas, an m. wins by thirty eight. They've got a road Tilton next week against Alabama, which will preview on our. Our Wednesday show. We had North Texas, forty, four, hell you saw seventeen you called this one. Dan Saad, verbal bump, Arkansas quarterbacks had six interceptions in this football game, including the four thrown by the monstrous coal Kelly. And of course, the South Carolina Marshall game was cancelled if we can, because I feel like we have a disproportionately cool group of North Texas and Maine, green fans. I guess it's the same thing. Mason. Fine, really good. Yeah. Had moments where he struggled. Did you see the fake fair catch off such down..

"It's like if you're a really good quarterback, why he gonna go Fama just the thought I have sometimes when I'm alone, kind of outdated thought these days nag, you know what? Don't let to it. That's a, that's a blip. Listen, all he did. He was late, but he considered Arizona state. He didn't react true, but Blake Barnett. He won this game with his legs because Georgia Tech had at one point had USF on the ropes, missed the game to an insane start like their first couple of drives like were went interception field goal, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown touchdown. That's it like, bam, bam, back and forth, and back and forth. A kickoff return to start. Georgia Tech went on one of their massive like sale drives, you know, and then another kickoff return for USF. I feel like you really wanna say like they like the band says it. Go ahead. I think. They went on one of their massive. Siro. But yeah, they, they did set sail and in the second half back in this game just by hammering USF with, you know, three place, real good quality. Paul Johnson stuff where they after losing their starter by the way, like lost their starter and somehow got back into this game to quell. Marshall was out and he was replaced by Tobias, Oliver to us. Oliver is a really good by the way it's been box scores wrong on this again because he passed twice, hey, pass twice. Wow, we've uncovered. That's conspiracy here. I am the only person who actually watch this game. Oh my God. This is like this is they live three point, man. It's on us to reconstruct all knowledge is what happened. You want us to Ryan Ryan. Allegedly watched one touchdown in the Stanford game. Okay. We'll write that down. Right? Yeah, yeah. So anyway, USF Barnett was brilliant. Downstream us. Great. They're gonna be super fun to watch. Also, Georgia Tech is just Georgia Tech is probably the most frustrating team to watch in the fourth quarter. And this goes back like a year. Now, do you know how many third downs they forced on USF go ahead Dr. How many zero. Just give us the ball back just sets there. So frust like I sincerely feel bad for Georgia Tech fans who have to watch close games because they're kind of the anti Clemson at this point where Clemson will be like, well, we'll were locked in a tough game that we didn't think we'd be here, but you know, we'll do the right things and will void mistakes all of the they are. They are the portrait in the attic. They are just just showing every every stress line every fucking broken tooth. They're designed to do one thing. They are bender insert girder. That's it. That's it. In every situation. They're like ball back, plays ball, and hands of crushing machine. Becker is a fan wreck. Literal this is I'm under insert girder triple option rambling. Ramblin emotional wreck. Is it like like some sort of like like some sort of Soviet robot that's fifty years old and runs on like leaded gasoline. Georgia Tech has four plays and they could be absolutely lethal and it cannot offer any defense. He could take a baseball bat to this four rusty thing, and all at once is to get the ball back. That's it. Be back, be back bay back toss, triple option b. back triple option. Gabby dive eight start guard. Are. It's amazing to watch like it doesn't change, which is astonishing like an NFL fan has to be mazed watching that. 'cause they're dislike this thing doesn't adjust it all. Nope, just keep plowing forward like a pool skimmer. It just. Should we have. We're trying to throw God. No. Somebody, I think it was rod Gilmore. The broadcast might have been. It was. It was Rodney mean? Yeah. Yeah. Was rod rod was like GM trip? Loved. It's like novacaine. I'm like, yes, like no came because it doesn't stop. Bleeding just makes you feel things. Teams going to bleed out watching it happen. Best game. I watched all day by the way.

"Your throat out your down to ten dollars, and he's making keep going. Yeah, trace McSorley I know like a couple of weird things on on broadcast that were fear one, you know, herbstreet talking about. You could just feel this culture's different. I don't know. Maybe there's actually that was actually real in terms of the team. 'cause based on what I've seen from Arizona. Yeah, that'd be different. You guys have to show up to practice. Oh, cool. Cool. That's new. All right. I'll put it on my calendar show up to practice. We would be remiss if we did not give. So many loving tender kisses to l. Lasko all my g decent watch this game, I believe in its entirety. Yeah, I watched all of it. It was. It was kinda like that thirteen three and literally the only highlight that we put in our live blog of the game was a pooch punt. Thirteen three in it was as thirteen three as you can possibly imagine. I watched the entire thing that might sound awful, but really it was like it was almost like some sort of transfer a coma or something. I'm just gonna go. I sort of like blacked out for four hours. You know, came out the other side. You get a runner. Sioe Asoka barely AllState. That's weird. ASM our football. Yeah, it was like just waves of punts washing over me. I had the superior punting. Iowa State was very streaky in the point game. However, I awoke state with superior at field goals. I believe there were one for one. Iowa has a lot to improve their. And there are no other opinions to be had about the game. I o went to for two on field goals. They, they missed one. Looking at the box score. The discipline list. One. Agreed to disagree. I'll check my notes and get back to you on this, but. Distinctly recall, no promised him. They miss listen, hawkeye's back me up on this guy, missed one right. Yeah, you here. I have. I do wanna do wanna mention this you research that I wanna mention the best watch of the day in terms of just maybe the opposite of Alaska. And I'm not saying more enjoyable because every time I flipped over to say I was thoroughly entertained in a way that I can't really explain logically I can't. I was like, man, I'm talking love this game. Yeah, haired happening at one of three in the first quarter. McGovern Chino's thirty eight yard field goal mists not showing up in the actual ESPN's box scores broken. So it's in the play by play though. I saw it. Anyway, continue. So. The other game that I enjoyed watching which was a complete surprise out of nowhere, although didn't vaulted teams who have gotten absolutely loose intend to do this two or three times a year each, including team that was involved in what was for my money, the most entertaining game of two thousand seventeen. That would be USF UCF I am talking about the south Florida bulls forty nine thirty eight of barn burner over the Georgia Tech yellow jackets. First of all that eight thousand degrees on the field with one hundred percent, humidity, classics, football, weather to Georgia Tech. Let's fight a gym shower. Get inside this punt show that I am also inside if it clean and do you own it? No. Borrowing it. We're gonna fight in the mouth of giant hound that time for south Florida eastern promises. Get naked Charlie strong to this. You already our goal. I would miss two field goals by the way. The box. The buck score on this is a lie. See they were watching. They were. Are you? Are you the only non Iowa State fan who watched the skate like the I am the scribe. I am the witness. I we, we, are you the day Walker now? Yeah. The only one stayed awake with his game. I witnessed it. They killed a man in the third quarter known aside except for me all the children levitated in their seats for like five minutes sinc-. This quack off the unholy service in the third quarter, and no-one said shit hit a nice pooch putt to, yeah, didn't yet club. So in this game. First of all, guess starting for a south, Florida. Do your call. It's Blake Barnett Barnett one recruit and stunning arm. One of the things that got him noticed coming out of high school, one of the things that got him scholarship to of all places the university of Alabama. Guess what? Blake Barnett transfer. 'cause I don't know..

"Ten Wake Forest beats Taus in fifty one to twenty and e c u runs one up on North Carolina by a forty one to nineteen score. Finally, in the ACC I didn't need to mention another fun game from Saturday, south Florida. Forty nine Georgia Tech thirty eight. This game featured nine lead changes eighty seven points and eleven hundred twenty four yards of total offense here south Florida led by Blake Barnett who threw for two two and two touchdowns through the air and also ran for ninety one and scored two more. Touchdowns on the ground. This was the atom Amine game. Yeah. I think the atom Amine game is the new Gus game. It could be. Yeah, I think that's. I mean, we're obviously quite biased here, but Superfund game did not enjoy seeing to Quan Marshall out early, but he did come back Kvant Benson leaves this game, but Blake Barnett full on. Good quarterback. Yeah, that is. That is the reality full on good dual threat quarterback. I think it was Terence horn who had to kick return touchdowns a receiver for USF. So in a game, USF wins by eleven to get those fourteen points prude clutch against this Georgia Tech offense that did not when sort of everybody was out there. They they run for what four hundred and pass for almost two hundred. So south Florida needed. Every point they could get as they struggled with this tech offense and just full on exciting game. That's all it was to me. It was. It was a if the best TV show is Colorado Nebraska. This game was not far behind. Let's move to the big twelve here..

"I honestly, I thought after I saw once elevate kick the living everything at Clemson. This game dad put one hundred dollars on Albama minus three. It's over, don't problems. They're going to wipe the floor with them. Georgia had to go to overtime against a big twelve team. No. I mean, yes, it's it was Oklahoma was actually had a decent decent defence or their offense, but they did Baker Mayfield. Yes, everything take new count. Obviously, what still. They just be the number one team in the nation. Alabama, did a good clementine with good defense and good offense and good coach. Georgia just went tooth and nail hard, nose, football overtime, football extra blows body blows. Everything gets the good. I mean it was a good team but still big twelve. Sorry, big, twelve. Just second class to me, honestly, snow fence is it is. To me, we're gonna get there eventually, but the. The case, the fact of the cases that did you better than him? Did you because the I haven't seen anything you were running like a banshee, obviously, that's not really your fault. If you're running around like a banshee during spring practice because your office of line couldn't block anybody in your defensive line is really, really good. So that goes without saying, you get a free pass in that. But if you're not in the coaches look at, look at James Blackman James Blackman four estate probably isn't getting that job. He probably isn't because John's your France, why is better than him gender Francois. Even those had all the issues and everything, but James Blackman. But if he if there's any chance for him to get the job, it's now because he's been in the room, he's been bugging Willie Taggart. He's an up and his business. He's been on the practice facility early in the morning. In the in the office watching film in the room, watching film. Ready to go. He may not get the job fence was more experienced. He's got more talent. He's got more tools has got more ability, touch the ball or the ball. Everything quarterbacking has lot of aerials and. Why is it hasn't been made yet in Alabama. It's LUSA. I have literally no idea literally no idea twenty days, Nick twenty days twenty days. Put your ships behind somebody. Instill confidence in young player. I thought maybe he's talked to them behind closed doors. I swear pleased. He's talked to them. High goes doors. We're just doing this media hub bbut ever some airwave time. Nope, I guess not. Joan hurts came out and said, he's hasn't talked to anybody. Nobody's come talk to him. Nobody's done anything. Nick Sabin and probably knows he's right about that. Which is why Nick Sabin came out and said that this this is not going to his comments, aren't gonna affect anything because he's like honestly Jones. Right? I'll bet you Knicks on idiot. He's on a stupid guy. He's a smart guy. He's a NFL NFL. He's a national championship winning coach. Probably one of the best coaches in this, not probably, but one of the best coaches in history, cultural, he knows it was going on. He can act little bit to actually just watch the blindside again on HBO. He's in that a lot or has a couple of different things, but the blind side. Enunciate, Tom enunciate? No. But instill some confidence in somebody, please somebody pick to pick Jalen, pick somebody. Pick somebody pick the other. There's actually another kid there. Blake Barnett I think it was name or something like that. I can what's there. Quarterback is going on at a Alabama Heaney transferred. Actually, I can't keep this. There's so many. There's so many lists are just all this kind of stuff going on right now. Let's see. Where's my not starting quarterbacks as want the. Let's look at the roster. Yeah. No, there's another guy who was a really highly tied to recruit..

"Six. Six. I'm with you. Okay. Reasonable. I have it by the way I came up with it. What. ACC coastal is going to get a little crazy. It always does right. Yeah, yeah, for sure. There's like a hearty middle-class ACC postal. Someone fair to the postal workers of this country tie day in and day, rain or shine. ACC postals not bad ACC. Thank you. Fat. Alantic in the postal there you go the Atlantic in the postal, you wanna talk about the American east real quick. The act east. Yes, we've got who you UCF went. Eleven. Oh, last year regular sees won the national championship of course. Yes. USF temple ECU Cincinnati. In Yukon, we've already tipped are handle little bit and saying that the notes field of our shared documents says, may for all three of them, but couldn't really find much to care about. So let's so let's talk about UCF. Let's spend a little bit of time talking about UCF. Their coach is obviously gone. He's going home Dan to Lincoln, Nebraska, Scott frost longer. The head football coach to bring over Josh Hoy poll. Hypol-. From zuri who's formerly the offensive coordinator there last year, let a really good misery offense. So with that coaching change, I think brings a little bit of uncertainty for UCF now as they prepared to try and defend that title in twenty eighteen where do we stand with the nights? So they're not going to try to do all that much different. I don't think on offense from where they've been these past couple years McKenzie, Milton is back and is what top ten quarterback in the country? Yeah, that his best shows strike on Smith, but Drake's Nelson is back and productive. I'm a little bit more concerned about what they lose on defense, namely a guy who is playing eleven positions at once and is just a stupid good player in Chicago Griffin, Griffin who moves onto the NFL and all American caliber linebacker. So that hurts the, they lose a lot around him on defense as well. And it wasn't a fantastic defense, but Lou. Losing a lot from a not like a slightly below. Average defense concerns me because I don't think the offense of fireworks will be there like they were last year, the do higher, Randy Shannon, so he will be installing his defense. And I would imagine because of his connections, if Josh Hypo lasts in. At UCF where they Orlando, that defense should be pretty good given Randy Shannon's history and ability to get talents, but the they're not going undefeated. Okay. Well, that's fine. Yeah. So beyond UCF then who's clearly, I think the top dog in the AFC east got USF a USF team that look US been in the in the news recently. I think they're in decent shape, especially on offense. Sterling Gilbert, yeah. Could be Blake net playing quarterback this year. Remember Blake Barnett speaking of frequent flyer miles. I think there should be a pretty good team here. Yeah, they have the clear best defense and we'll see what happens with temple, but they have the clear best defense in the division if not the the conference as a whole, what Houston with at Oliver looks like. But yeah, USF should probably win nine or ten games again, and season was cut short last year, but this is going to be very good USF team Quin flowers is like an all-time special player. I mean, granted USF has existed for fourteen years, but he has been ridiculous. So they're gonna miss him. But yeah, they're going to be really good. They're really well coached, and that brings us temple. Let's talk about the real story of the AA see east if we could. Yes, I'm ready. Temple has a middle linebacker in Philly by. The name of Shaun browley. I am. So happy. How does this happen. How did nobody tell us food? Good. How this is great. Yeah, Jeff Collins. In what year one finishes the season strong. They went four or five, including their ball game could have been five of six. They lose an overtime to army Reichel. Armstead is still there and should have a nice year for temple on the ground. And there's no reason to me that and I can pull up temple schedule. I won't make any Krant proclamations, but I think in year to this temple defense under Jeff Collins is going to become pretty scary. They've recruited well enough. Let's see. Villanova buffalo, possibly buffalo. They go to Maryland, which tricky, but still Maryland and week three. So all of their quarterbacks might be hurt by then. Two navy. It's a tough schedule..

"No i would agree i would agree i don't think it's a slam dunk and cut and dry you're talking about winning college games as opposed to you're talking about who's nfl prospect i mean this guy was sec player of the year or two years ago in hurt so and you know this is also not like you know what alabama doesn't either asking their quarterback to go out and throw for four hundred yards a game this is an oklahoma with baker mayfield this isn't some like mike leach offense so i i remember a couple of years ago they play in baton rouge and it is a heavyweight slugfest the i think the only reason why they won that game was because jalen hurts legs absolutely you know they were they were eating up the run game until he broke loose he was a dimension it's not to say that to a can't present that but i think sometimes people forget how good a guy is if he does some things that aren't maybe the things that the nfl loves those are a little x actor things and i again i wouldn't i wouldn't write jalen hurts off in this deal there's also an idea one we've thanks team but there's a little bit of a roster management issue they are where they tried to sign a quarterback in this last class they got kind of desperate seem like nobody signs so if jalen were to transfer either before the season or four games into the season like blake barnett did a couple years ago they would be down to two and yet to to scholarship quarterbacks to two in mack jones who came in the other day unless they get a grad transfer and they had it should be noted they had a grad transfer all committed gardner menchu who'd been the starting quarterback at east carolina he's a kid from the deep south he had told me that you know it was very compelling for the id wants to be a coach could learn nick sabin learned from nick sabin maybe he wouldn't you know he knew the odds were really long against him ever winning the job but that was appealing and then washington state reached out and he.

"The players the other players the other ten on offense and the eleven on deep into are they most likely to follow who wins the team and that's what nick sabin has always said and i would assume that he would use that same strategy and philosophy in this quarterback competition alone but he has to understand that if he does name starter too early than one of those guys is highly likely to transfer and try to search for an opportunity to play not just next year but maybe the year after that as well and you know how this the mindset of alabama is especially under saving he never names quarterback unless he has to and usually doesn't do it does he know he's i can think multiple times when whether it was aj mccarron when he won the job it wasn't until the second week of the season in two thousand twelve or two thousand eleven excuse me because he was battling with philip sins remember jake coker didn't even sees control the position till after the oldest game you can remember blake simms was back and forth with jake coker and really blake barnett and jalen hurts we're back and forth in that first usc game so he's actually taking it into the season on multiple different occasions last year was a different story because they had a returning quarterback for the first time in quite some time so i would assume that it might play out into the regular season a little bit depending on how close it really is and just in order to kind of protect themselves from allowing one guy to leave the program before the season gets underway before you go and you mentioned him a few minutes ago not about what i'm about to ask you about you mentioned him in terms of him competing for the job in two thousand eleven but i keep reading on the internet about you and j mccarron what's going on here i don't know why everyone so bent out of shape about this i said look every backup quarterback that we've seen go and it hasn't worked out so well i love aj hope he does well i just i don't know for certain that a backup quarterbacks going to go be an elite starter in the nfl and a lot of hell bama fans have really taken offense to that and an age as brother even came at me on.

"I guess arizona state the quarterback situation is a little bit more settled defensively they've gotta be better and healthier um they bring back i think the defense here the brink defence brings back a good amount of guys they just struggled last year so that's one of the experience is it good that's one of those questions but arizona state as playmakers that one of the best receivers in the conference nicule harry he is a big body and catch is a lot has a very large uh catching radius and if they can figure out a quarterback i don't know they they have a name to quarterback at the time of this recording sme blake barnett or many wilkins right now it looks more like many wilkins okay so he is looks to be the option a more dual threat option perhaps fora frei issue so i'm going to go with that's um they have a new defensive coordinator and phil bennett who comes over from baylor new offense of coordinator comes over from alabama billionaire purely sokoto offensive coordinator so talent wise i think arizona state is in a better place quarterback place in terms of passing the ball down field i think they're in a better place and line play especially on defense certainly is in a better place so i am with a issued the schedule doesn't seem terrible there's another shootout at texas tech last year was in in tempe but the schedule seems all right enough it just seems mix to me so a issue has nothing to blame whatever happens a 2017 uh they've nothing to blame except to say on themselves i think the overriding theme for a issue is that there is a ton of potential on that team and it's all very young they were so beat up last year he would beat up 2017 is not going to be the year the quote unquote turn it around they might build for 2018 this sees her i think that light giffin mile for link kippen for chip kelly who knows where the rumors take us yeah.
