"Carrie came on the backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert, Andy Neal, that we have a 30 35 seconds left in the game to run out the clock. Tampa Bay could not have played much worse than it did yesterday. Losing 38 23. Drew Brees came into the game. We trade like Tom Brady by one touchdown pass on the career list. He left with three touchdown lead. It was great, and he was ready to play. I think sometimes that Tampa Bay team is just not ready to play. And, you know, I wonder what times who was running that team? You know, because Bruce areas if you remember way back in August, when the Antonio Brown was crying that he wanted to play Sure Tom Brady and Bruce Terry is basically out, Mouth said. We don't need him. We don't need him well. Antonio Brown is now on the team and Bruce and that's because Tom Brady Brady wants and then they worked together a little bit. New England But Bruce areas backtracked, said about two weeks ago. Everybody deserves a second chance. So I'm not so certain who really runs that team. You had a run in with a stiff arm. So you're not going to give me a winning geezer? As far as NFL quarterbacks. I mean, Brady has a Super Bowl ring, so it's gotta be Brady's boat. Alright. I mean, NFC NFC West. NFC West. I tell you what I was so into Seattle. The defense is so bad it really is. And yesterday I tell you, I was shocked. I mean, they got me pretty good yesterday is still leading that division. But still it was Russell Wilson still the best quarterback in the league so far this year, you know you talk about M v p. I think he's got the pole position as we speak for M v P, But I think There's going to be a run for it, too. I think there's others day. I mean, Aaron Rodgers had a bad week two weeks ago, but he's coming back. I think I think the jury is out. I really do and that Seattle team, certainly the best team right now, in that divisions as again told by the injury San Francisco's been murdered with injuries, so they're down, down and out for five Rams not much better. Cardinals have a good ball club, You Noah, but still annoyed. I think Seattle is the class of that division. But You just don't know what the defense you just don't know. All right again. We're at the midpoint of the NFL season, talking to Andy Furman on the nightcap about kind of a half time report on the 2020 season. Let's go now. And e to the A. F C East, You know, Division. You're very familiar with being from these cost originally, you know, we got the Jets. We got the bills. We got the Dolphins Tell me who is Thie? The leader right now, not by record. But who do you think we'll take that too? Well, I would say And look, I'm a Patriots fan. I love Bill Belichick. He's I hate to say this. But if someone of a pen pal of mine and He was on the radio with me. Several times Just knew many of those. Do you guys like swap Penthouse Forum letters right to me. You know his mom passed away. You know, several weeks ago, we No, I didn't. You know, I wrote to him. And he's always been good to me on. I know what he's going through what you call growing pains, and I think that the Cam Newton experiment. On paper. It looked good because economically it look good, and they got him for the cheap and, uh, it's not working out is just he's not be, although you could say that he doesn't have many tools to work with on the offensive side of the ball, but You know, you have to say that they're run has been over. It's gone and sorry to say they play the Jets tonight. I would hate hate to see the Jets beat them for their first win. Just coming to the game tonight. Oh, Nate. You've had two and five minutes later, I did. I don't think that jets will win that game. I just think that New England just the better team defensive started the Palm and the Jets have nothing offensively. Miami's coming on strong, too, was playing while you played well yesterday, but Buffalo right now, and I said this preseason Another class of the division. They had a little bit of a road bump two weeks ago, but they came back strong yesterday. They have see South. What about my old hometown team? The Tennessee Titans. You know they got they got that bullet. The backfield. Derrick Henry just shoved a bull in his belly. And away. You go in Ryan Tannehill, surprising everybody. And now, you know, talk about under the radar. You know, there are certain teams that play well and not noticed, and they're under the radar. I think that Tennessee is one of those teams. Maybe because of the marketplace that there in Tennessee somewhat off Broadway. That'll get the pub that a team like you know Dallas or New York would get and things like that by Tennessee's is a tough ball club, and my Grable has been going well. He really does Indianapolis in the same old, same old Philip Rivers, I mean, just like turn over city. You know, I just can't win. He did it again. Yes, They turned the ball over that we the Houston's terrible on DH. Jackson will forget about it. You know, one of 70 a F C West, the Kansas City Chiefs. How likely are they to repeat a Super Bowl champion? I say right now, Data, the preseason favorite. I think they would be. I think they're a great team. Defensively, They've gotten a lot better than what they have A good Russian, the quarterback tissue which you know there was someone of an Achilles heel of the last several years on the defensive side of the ball. They really But their defense forward you know it was about it was about week 12 last week that that defense started to jail..

Madden 21 brings back Colin Kaepernick after four-year absence

"Everybody loves the John Madden NFL football game. One of the players you can pick up in the game this year is Colin Capper? No, despite the fact that he's not played in the league and a number of years Kaman Kaepernick is in Madden NFL 21 This year. We kind of get Marvin Harrison while I'm at it Is Peyton Manning active. This is a statement from E. A sports as to why Colin Kaepernick's in the game quote. Colin Kaepernick is one of the top free agents and football and a starting caliber quarterback, the team and E a sports along with the millions of Madden NFL fans want to see him back in our game. We've had a long relationship with column to Madden NFL and worked through our past soundtrack mistakes. Well, you know what? Ah, if Aiken pick Colin Kaepernick on Madden is a free agent that I also one of the options pick up like Brandon Stokley. Okay. How about Adam cemeteries? He's still available. I don't It doesn't say if Adam Vinatieri is available, but can we can we all just Take a step back and remember that he lost his starting job to Blaine Gabbert. Right, Colin Kaepernick. Before he became this kneeling icon lost his starting gig to Blaine, Gabbert and the case. You don't know who Blaine Gabbert is. He sucks.

Ryan Tannehill traded from Dolphins to Titans, shaking up the QB situation in Tennessee

"Good. And now, we don't know what the plan is. They have finally given up on Ryan tannehill who had seven years to prove that he could be a franchise quarterback. Now, he's out. Ryan Fitzpatrick is in with a two year contract reported base value of eleven million dollars that is peanuts is starting quarterback contracts. Go, but we don't even know whether he's going to be the starting quarterback. He may be the placeholder for whoever they end up within the draft and they had to sign somebody. They had to have somebody who was the plausible starter. So it is an obvious going into the draft that they're going to draft a quarterback because then at number thirteen they're going to get leapfrog by somebody for the quarterback that they want. So smart move to have Fitzpatrick smart move to have a guy who has played. Well. A he gets criticized a lot. But my God early last year he was spectacular. And he's better than whatever other options they had on the roster. So now, they have a bird in the hand. And we'll see what they do on draft. Yeah. That's right. I mean, there wasn't a lot of options out there in free agency wants city Brett teddy Bridgewater said no we knew they weren't going to bring back Ryan tannehill. So to what you're saying. Yes, I think it was a very smart decision to bring guy in like Ryan Fitzpatrick gives them some wiggle room. I mean, they are at number thirteen in the NFL draft certainly can be in prime position to get one of these quarterbacks. Maybe not Kyle Murray. They're gonna have to make moves if they wanna get Kyle Murray and get up to the first second third pick probably. But you know, does it Dwayne Haskins? Does it drew lock? Are. They around a thirteen. I think there's a good chance. I wouldn't have said that a few weeks ago. But I think as I sort through the draft more and more there is a good chance that I think one of those two might be on the board Jacksonville at seven. I don't think they're going to be dropped in a quarterback there this year. It's really about the giants at six right now as the. The team. That's really the obvious team that might be in the quarterback conversation. And I don't think there's any guaranteed. They'll take a quarterback at six. So the dolphins. Yes. You get this because you got a guy. Okay. We got our starting quarterback. Now, they can figure out what they want to do with the quarterback situation going forward into their future. And the thing with the Ryan tannehill deal. Look I thought they were just gonna cut him and they didn't need to keep them around. There's no guaranteed money in his deal as it stood before Friday, but they found somebody who would take him in trade. But that team wanted the dolphins to pay part of his salary. Even though the dolphins were on the hook for nothing guaranteed. So audibly what the dolphins did they dumped Ryan tannehill. And they bought a fourth round pick in twenty twenty five million dollars because they're paying five million dollars of Ryan tannehill new salary of seven million fully guaranteed. The titans. Get a backup quarterback for two million dollars. And Ryan tannehill better than Blaine gabbert, they were gonna play gap pay gabbert a million and a half. Right. I'll pay two million to tannehill. Because if. Pantyhose healthy. He's not horrible. He's actually pretty good can't stay healthy. But you only need to be healthy one or two games in the full year. And think about it if they had a better backup last year. Chris when Marcus mariota missed a couple of games. There are a playoff team. No. Exactly, right, Mike. I'll sit here and say, I'm not so sure Ryan ten hills not better than Marcus mariota. They're very similar. So it makes sense for Tennessee to get a guy like ten and he'll be the backup quarterback. They're both very good athletes who play quarterback. That's what I would say about the two guys. I mean can run they can do the read option the bootlegs play action passes

"Which is what he wanted to for did for Mitch Trubisky h how to do this you for Colt Makuwata, rebounding is so philanthropic. I mean, there's a lot of backups out there that are in it for themselves. If they if they if if if they really wanted Colin Kaepernick if they're really one of the quarterback a good quarterback. He's a top twenty quarterback. Now's not proper probably top probably top. He he wasn't a top twenty. If he was people would have people would've wanted him from the Niners back at the time. Maybe not now not at this point. But at the time he was you forget you forget he had before he was before he took a knee. He was a backup. He was a backup to Blaine gabbert. They weren't people reaching out to get him because he had had two surgeries one in his one of his knee and one in his shoulder. Like again like you not top twenty quarterback Kenny play in the league. Yes. But what does he wanna play for is he willing to be a backup? He hadn't played two. He hadn't played in over two two years. So can he still play is he still in shape is he and his he willing to sacrifice his ego of a man back in. He's the guy who's walking around going. We remember when we almost went almost one St. like yet. They don't ask all these questions of regular backup soon. Somebody's backups throw in there. They hire guys off the street all the time. He's much better than a Bill notice. You're saying things that aren't accurate. They're not accurate. You got you have guys that come in. And they work for less than a million dollars in order to just don't know exactly what he will work for. We do we need transparency on that. And my my point about the fact that he hasn't spoken is is a big is a big part of go back and read every article as to why he lost his job to begin with was because he was a nonverbal guy. He was super quiet headphones on keep to himself. And that's not what any of these quarterbacks. Are they're just not there. And it's the same thing that hurt Lamar Jackson before the draft same thing. That hurts a lot of these guys is when it started when a quarterback walks into a room the room, usually changes their Mangini, call today force multiplier. They just you feel like they're your best friend. You've sat down with them. You know, they all have this bag network way of attracting people, and he doesn't have that. He's not comfortable in. That rule even though he's not tell me he's not worth backup quarterback job in this league. And we don't know we don't know what he'll take in what he won't take because he won't talk about it. But we do know that the NFL has kept him out of this club for summit for all these years, and this and this story strikes that as false because you look at that league. And that league is made of backup quarterbacks who want another shot the National Football League. And it streams to the football world. He didn't really want play. I think you should screen the football world. He doesn't wanna play for something less than what he deserves. Which is the NFL. He's Bill Plachy. I'm doug. Golly. You can feel free to tweet us at Gottlieb show is my what's your Twitter handle at Bill. Plastic Bill Plachy. "He's an MVP candidate. So let McVay do is thing. Go back to the draft. Keep doing that recycle that, and you can always have a veteran veteran team of Pro Bowl is such a dangerous proposition though. Because every year we're talking about these teams near the top of the drafts drafting quarterbacks we're talking about right now with Cuyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins trying to figure out which one of these guys is gonna visually be good all of them, look great in college. And I agree with you with what they was able to do. He took a guy who was the bottom half of the league QBR near the bottom put him near the top. It was terrific, and they had this unbelievable system. But if you think that you can continue to roll the dice on quarterbacks you watch every year. There's always fails. Yeah. You'll heinous or not is Sean McVay a genius genius genius. Hey, him twenty five million a year and make them a there's no salary cap on coaches. Can I say something I don't like this idea? I love. This is a fascinating. This could be the future of the sport. How many times have we said well the time to strike is when you have a quarterback on his rookie deal because once you have to pay him. Now, you're Joe flacco and the ravens have to strip themselves basically every decent player. They have if you can get a decent quarterback and have your coaching make him good enough and surrounded as the Rams did this year with indomitable sue, and Aaron Donald and all these other guys I tell you what in less you have Tom Brady lets you have like one of four people walking the face of planet earth. Today. You may be better off with this is terrible. What auto you go ahead? And then I'll talk. Does like Blaine gabbert locker the Christian ponders? Those are some of the guys there. Because you don't commit to them. That's the thing. You see if it doesn't work it doesn't work and you get the nets a young talent. Like Jared Goff who still has a ways to develop you invest in him and you develop him he looked so good. I'm with I'm call invest in development him means you're not getting other things. And maybe he's not gonna Notre back. I think he could be at the. Agree with that. But sometimes you run into a guy and all of a sudden you get these great young quarterbacks. You have to find a way a lock them up and his team search for years trying to find we're gonna come back to this. Because I really like this topic. We will as we continue, but we're running out of time here. So let's take a quick break. When we come back. He is one of the best young players in the world. "Do a new city, then Wham you get kind of blindsided by cancer. How did that affect you think your entire rhythm of your first head coaching year? Maybe your outlook as being a head coach on life or anything like that. How did that experience? Change you for the better or change for the worse either. Or? Yeah. You know, sitting at that desk after you accept the job, you go through, you know, the press conferences, and all the TV all that stuff that you have to do. I remember vividly sitting in coach called, you know, my office that you know, coach called Weld's old head coaching offense. And I say it was sitting at the desert, and it was just Tina nine the dusted settled we looked at each other. And you know, what do we do? Now. What are we ourselves, you know, and, you know, so he started looking through the drawers and look for head coaching manual, those no manual, you know, she just take it us take it one day at a time and you've worked, and you've watched guys knew learned along the way, and I was around so many, great coaches, and and and, you know, head coaches and mentors and things like that. But it's really no manual for it, let alone like you said, you know, we just lost that devastate head that devastating loss of Jacksonville. Blaine gabbert hit see so shorts. You know? We just took the lead twenty two seventeen whatever. And you know, he it's fifty seconds go right hits that eighty order, and we lose that game in. Oh. And then I had to had you know, the bruising and going on at sympathy. But I just thought that was football stuff. Then I do some blood work after the game. And, you know, Pat, you know, in the schedule comes out you want your by week to be somewhere, you know, middle of the season. Right. Yup. Late, you know, really life guys, you know, eight nine week ten, you know, you're you're playing well, you're winning you get some guys dinged up. And it's you know, it's it's great to have that, you know, more towards the middle of the season. And that turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I probably would have never got, you know, gone in and got checked in and got blood work. So yes, you could hit hit across the face. You know across the head with a two by four, you know, coming off that loss for one and two you're trying to navigate the waters and keep the team together. You know? So you remember we practice Tuesday Wednesday. Right. Yup. Energy everybody. Remember, remember, we took the team photo. Yup. On Wednesday yell. You had the short practice, and then all the coaches and all the players were offered four days. And that's when you know, I got some blood work done. And then they said where your came back. You know off you need to we made.

"Eric Hebron, you proved a lot of people wrong this year with double digit touchdowns. He had fourteen total touchdowns this season could be a player that next year when we're building our early top-five Ted endless will crack it based off the offense. He plays in here. It's convention. See what happens with Jack Doyle, obviously. But I think there's a chance depending on how everything shakes out. I think there's a decent chance that back both Eric e Brown and Jack Doyle are certainly ranked within the top twelve of tight ends next. Year, given how much they like the tight end. How successful Andrew luck has been. And and honestly the fact that outside of T Y Hilton no pass catcher has really emerged for the colts. And we know how much we know how much Andrew luck likes throwing his tight end. I mean yesterday, you know, what I think who is it was it was it Ryan Hewitt who is who caught somebody cut their first touchdown pass the first past the year last year. And it was a touchdown was Ryan Hewitt. It was Ryan Healy number forty five number four who is like he's sort of a running back, but he's sort of like a half. A you know, I think he was lined up a tight end, and we're Bengal, you know, he's like he's like a for them. What what do you call it like a h back yet? I mean, so. Anyway, just goes like the first guy the first passed. The cat catches is a touch is a touchdown line that basically as a tight in that particular formation. So I think e Brian Doyle have a chance to both crack the top twelve. So titans were tough watching. Blaine gabbert playing quarterback for them. Really the only two players that. I think we can look forward and say with some level of confidence will be on. Our fantasy rate are Derrick Henry Corey Davis. Henry finishes with ninety three rushing yards. Didn't find the end zone. But some would argue is the MVP of the playoffs for those who played in fourteen fifteen and sixteen and teams in terms of the weeks. The playoffs were conducted. It's so fascinating. So through the regular season. Okay. Weeks one through thirteen der. Can we was running back thirty nine weeks fourteen through seventeen he was the number one running back and fantasy Derrick Henry who was unusable up until the fantasy playoffs and most people didn't start them in that crazy gate that four touchdown game. He was basically unusable through the first fourteen weeks the season because he had no idea that week fourteen was coming right finishes as the sixteenth best running back and fantasy this. There's something to be said for playing every game in fantasy football, especially at the running back position friend tristen. Cockroach Henry was the leading playoff score among all positions with a hundred and five point eight points on the be leave -able the jets and by the way, Corey Davis. We'll get into all these players more looking forward. Davis five catches yesterday. Disappointing season for Corey Davis relative to the expectations. I'm not convinced. I understand he's a super nice guy. And I know that he's been hurt throughout the majority of his professional career. I am not convinced. Marcus mariota is any good under the auspices hand under the auspices of professional franchise quarterback. He's obviously one of the, you know, three hundred best athletes in the world. You know, he's he's playing a position that very few people ever get to actually play in the NFL. So he's obviously at an elite level in terms of that. But I just seen like when you put them under the microscope of. Of franchise quarterback of somebody worthy of the number one overall pick, you know, I guess he went number two Winston went one that year. But you know, somebody who is the number one pick for a franchise and sort of the face of a franchise. I'm not convinced. He's that guy. I think you are not the only person that feels that way. There's a lot to be determined for the titans, including his health this off. So we know they didn't play yesterday in part because to find you. There was a fear. He could do irreparable harm to his nerves. We've talked about it on the podcast all season long. I said once he had the owner nerve issue, and then stinger in his neck that that nerve tissue is sensitized. And then it's that much easier to flare it up during the season. He's got a number of issues he's dealing with..

"It's a team like Texans that starting highway. I'm not gonna stop the Texans rip off line wins. The colts do what they did in the and the colts and ravens completely transform themselves during the season. And it's almost like you look at the chargers and say, I would not want to do what the ravens. And if I'm the Texans. I don't want to deal with the colts on any level and the cult's tonight. Got it done against the titans team that is always points challenged. And they're certainly challenge to the air. They opened the game with four punts and closed the game under Blaine gabbert with two picks and a out on downs. We talked about Thursday and you better play at twice. Lesson sess lockup colts over Blaine gabbert, congratulations. Frame it. Anyway, you want we talked about just the facts Thursday, we talked to I said I thought this game was a referendum Greg on the markets. Barrow MO Marcus mariota era in Tennessee. And yes, oh, that's unfair. He didn't even play. But that's part of the point. And what we're hearing about this injuries that it was it's a serious injury. And they maybe he wouldn't even be able to play next week. Had they qualified for the playoffs. But if you're the titans in your spinning forward you have to figure out what you are on offense. Because this team doesn't have a real identity beyond Derrick Henry who caught fire at the end of the season. Yeah, he Mario. It'd in take a step forward. I think in the way that Mike rebel, and Matt leflore would've wanted this year. The nerve issue is a concern, but color me shocked that a passing attack in two thousand eighteen with Michael Pruitt and Luke Stocker Darius Jennings as their second third and fourth options didn't light it up. This was just a game sorta get out of the way, and I think. The colts for doing what they should in this game. Because this titans team. They shouldn't have gotten to nine wins. I'm not sure how they did. They felt like they were to to front and center in this season. The Tennessee titans. Like, they were everywhere. And we didn't we didn't need them everywhere. Now, they're nowhere. They were a solid respectable team. Anytime a team beat the titans. I gave a team credit for that. Because they come the play kill. We just book them for nine seven next year as well coat in the year after that in the air to that three straight. Yeah. I mean, come on. I on the flipside like Frank Reich who I think all we all agree would if he won coach of the year. It would be just to open this game on the road with two touchdown drives. The first that went twelve plays ninety seven yards the six the second one sixteen plays for ninety five the earth thing about in my love. He started the year clean-shaven for the most part with salt and pepper hair. He's now sporting this gigantic white sort of semi Santa Claus beard. It's like he's just allowed the seasons to change cry out of the area. Like that is suddenly they said here's Frank Reich from fifteen years into his cults campaign. That's how he looks. Now. It's a great look noches age like presidents and the season Frank Reich. I think he he's probably could is he going to coach the. Anyway. But Emmer Nagy would be my guesses. Yeah. And he desert Atalaya option, and it's such a culture such a great story this season. And it's exciting that they're going to be in the plan because they can make noise. But from where they were you think about where they were in January. Andrew luck still future in doubt. They get left at the altar Josh mcdaniels like get off to one in five star where Andrew lock we're hearing a funeral March music behind a when you talk about him and fast forward to the last days of two thousand eighteen and they are a real threat in the AFC this going to be a great AFC playoff. And we talked about on Thursday wild card weekend up is really the Steelers were team that absolutely could hang with any of these teams. They missed the playoffs. That's how many quality teams in the AFC. It's not the Texans fault that they lost Maria's Thomas. They lost will fuller..

"Don't go down this road with me. I mean, the like why not listen to the public? The public tells you twenty times every son. Thraw people new to football in the last three year. Now, the public sometimes something things wrong in this country. I can tell you that. Sunday night football, not this one cling to your little helmet catch looks that way. Is them field. Kidding me or thirty seven yard line. He goes. Andrew luck. Three touchdown passes Marlin Mac OS for buck nineteen and the colts defense shuts down Blaine gabbert and the rest of Tennessee tight tunes forever. And always a thirty three seventeen win for the colts. Go from one in five to ten and six, and they are six seed in the AFC playoff which are now set marks 'Slayer incredible turnaround for the colts who dead and buried and they enter the playoffs as a dangerous team. And they prove themselves to be a better team than the Tennessee titans. It's one of the most interesting.

"The door on that, of course, especially like sound like you're going to sign a guy like Dan go by the way. We just signed another big time quarterback, so have fun of competing for the job. Yes, that's not financially responsible that do that. So I mean, he is the guy for the next couple of years. I mean, Tennessee. I'm curious to see what exactly they are. I'm not sure if they are good titans. I'm not sure if they're good team or their average or they're just, I don't know what to think of. I mean, there are and wine. Obviously, that's decent. Start off the season. I'm not sure weeks. Let's way couple, but I mean they were playoff team last year. Okay. And both agree that team was not playoff anything. They somehow made it there, but even then. So I mean, you're picking up wins my honest, my problems with box, Maryland, our know how good of a quarterback he is. It's been four, its fourth year. I'm not sure what to think of the guy at this point. Same thing for James once. Yeah. The defense. I mean, Tennessee's defense has been solid. Start running game has been solid receivers in good. It's just again with them. It's the quarterback. I mean, you had Blaine gabbert last week start. They ended up winning down. He ended up coming away injured with a concussion. I think it was that we before that would Mario, yes. So I mean, the one loss against Miami week to Blaine gabbert star style when and I mean, doesn't really play well, but does good enough, I guess to help them. I wouldn't say that's mariota's fault the opposite to lions. Not that great, and he is scrambling quarterback, kinda gambling. He's got. He's more please pocket. Passer, I I'd say, okay, because when one Heisman, I would see him more as a scrambling guy and quality was I think he's an in the NFL kind of move more towards. He doesn't really look to run first. He's in the pocket. If he's got to get out of the pocket of run out, then he does that book on a Yoni attack. I mean, this ABC south is one of the most unpredictable divisions considering. I mean, I could see an inst-. The colts end up winning this division. I mean, it's really, yeah. I'm not saying they are anything like that, but you choke begun the chance of winning. I'd say you can clearly tell that with Angela, they still are a much better team even though it's been three week compared to last year. I'd say without luck there Owen three, but with them they got that one win should've at least had a chance to have an opportunity to score in week one against the Bengals, but with Jack Doyle fumbling kinda just ruined their chance there with the eagles last week. I mean, they were in it till the end. We'll to be honest. I think the cold had Chuck gone away too long because he survived his cancer, which is great. But I think that they, they thought of that is like it's wrong to relate to fire like that. So what I think is that they held him on for too long if they got a nother coach with a team like that, they could have had a better run in the last couple of years. Like this is the guy that said, we got our butts kicked to the forty Niners. They played the Rams that week. The classic fake punt thing. I've never really understood that this was not the ball, no, no, because that's the thing the play call was they were supposed to have the guys jump off sides or something of that nature. But the guy, I don't know who snapped the ball was like overseas or something. Just snapped the ball, and the guy didn't expect it to if you watch the replay, the guy skate, he snaps ball, and the guy goes, why is the ball here? It's like it was a bunch of confusion and it wasn't exactly his fault, but it executed probably poorly as you could possibly execute any play, but he will always be chuckled will always be remembered for that and they held him on too long. Yeah, I'd say so too. So maybe they had a different coach less. A few years ago, they could be a different team now, but the last two years they have been without Andrew luck to you're not really gonna win many games without. Oh yeah, it's completely unfair..

"When we one looked much better and much closer to Shawn Watson, we expect see this year in week two. But from a team standpoint, they lost the game to Blaine gabbert. They just lost the game because early in the game, they did not cover the gunner on a punt team that you knew the titans. We're gonna struggle to score. You know how you knew because Blaine gabbert was the starting quarterback. And so you can't give up defensive scores, special team scores. And before red zone channel even has time to show us the game. They're getting a sixty six yard touchdown because they don't cover the gunner. This is one of those poorly coach teams in football, and they extended their coach to a multi-year deal this off season. I think a five year contract sentinels four years. I, I like the talent on the Texans. I, I understand that Sean is getting healthier will fuller. We saw him in week two, and that connection with Sean has not gone anywhere after he caught seven touchdowns from them in four games last year, but they go into every game nearly every game with decided schematic disadvantage and lose a game against the titans. When Blaine gabbert the starter, if that doesn't do some form of panic, the not many things will all games aren't the same. All wins and losses aren't the same when you lose to the titans and they did have Blaine gabbert plane as a quarterback. It begin you begin to question like who we are as a team. So no, I wouldn't panic after two weeks. I understand that, but I'm gonna give, you know, the two weeks after four weeks, you pretty much are who you are, and it's going to be hard. Coachman genie talked about New England might have improved their teen yesterday. How are they going to improve? A lot of that is going to be on the Shawn's back. He's got to improve as a quarterback, the offensive line support. He's. Is not going to get he is not going to get support of a running game. So I would be concerned if I was him if I don't come out of these next two games with some type of identity, what kind of offense are they going to be? Like, what kind of quarterback is he going to be? We don't know. Is it going to be a big play offense? Is he going to always go for the big play? Or is he going to be a precision? Passer? Could he dinkum don't and be methodically, move people down the field. We don't know who he's going to be. They don't know who they are as a team. So this next two weeks are very critical. If they're going to compete for a playoff spot this year, it's going to have to be through the offense because this idea of this dominant Texans front seems like it's always going to be an idea like, oh, wait till what clowney get together. We'll cloudy not shockingly missed week to with a foot injury somehow still got a fifteen yard penalty from the bench, which led to a Tennessee field goal by the way, which was an enormous playing the game. And JJ watt has a sack and a half in the last. Three years. So like we've got to the ideal of Wotton clowney coming together was great when they drafted clowning by years ago, but clowns injuries and watts injuries have now made it. So we've never seen it. And I don't know that we will see because I don't think JJ watt is where people believe he is at this point in his career and cloudy still is struggling playing full sixteen game season. I let's move onto the Steelers. Now somehow hit spur has found a way to have even more drama lady embel- still nowhere to be found and other drama spill to the internet. Yesterday when a former Steelers PR guy tweeted about Antonio Brown. He wrote AB needs to think is lucky stars because he was drafted by team that had been and Ben got AB paid, you know, darn well, he wouldn't put up those numbers for other teams, which and Tonio Brown responded trade me. "He's not ordinary extraordinary. No. Thanks. Now, you have to accept the fact that it's different. And those not found by not bound by where he come from. Yeah. He's like a linebacker playing quarterback. Meantime titans. Coach Mike Gabel? Says he expects to play both quarterback. But Blaine gabbert might need to be on the ready in case something happens with Marcus mariota. Which makes me think this fits, and I'm not a doctor, and I'm not trying to put words everybody's mouth. But I'm thinking to myself like that suggest to me. Hey, there's an injury. The Marcus mariota is currently working through that. He is capable of playing in. It might be more pain tolerance than it is something structural, right? Like he could go in there on Sunday. And something could happen to him. They could set them back far enough that he would need to leave the game temporarily for the entirety either. But it would it make him worse. Right. Like in order for it to get truly better. He needs time. But it can't get any worse than it might already be right now, which might open the door to something where you start Marcus mariota.
