I turned back hesitantly and brought the leonard in front of my face but as the oil was running out the lights dimmed and i cannot see anything other than gigantic trees. I convinced myself that. What i heard was roaring the winds inside the trees i continued toward the house but again i heard some hitting sound calling my name. There was no mistaking at this time. "Learn about magic. He's probably your best man, but his poetry and his stories a direct not so black would say, so anyway, so this story the empty house is very simple man. Here's the house through his and June and I forgot what she's called. Actually he visits the house. He he acts Julia. She's Julia Isn't So June July visit them the explores the house then as they're walking around in the gloomy dark with all the creaking floorboards and the Moonlight and the things screwing around they start to see ghosts and stuff happens. And of course, you know, I'm a James. I'm at James let you see the ghosts, but the late the less you see of the ghost the better. So a lot of this story is is the house itself and the house is 0 years. Very Gothic thing isn't it? You know and showing the roots of the ghost story and Gothic literature. This is not a castle but the house the gothic Abode functions in a similar way. The story is is again very simple. If there is an ark it's not our man short house. There are some unfortunate historical things in this guy called short immediately think of a little fat bloke, you know, cuz that's what they say. Oh sure ass some I can imagine, you know, anyway not he hasn't got a character Arc and he appears in various other stories as well as some kind of game center, but he's he's Auntie Julia and Julia is the one who can who she doesn't transform but his view of her transformed sore suppose. He does have an arc in a slight wage is not a long story. He's not going to transform completely in this story. He does the the dust the Shadows the Moonlight the scurrying Beatles in this black thing that screws off. Which may be a cat or as I say a rat because it's more likely to be a rat but there's only one of them and rats are sort of gray, aren't they but it's dark. So I thought maybe it was a rat was a guy called Michael Keller who writes and illustrates the old style tales and he's brought out a lot of additions Illustrated and annotated off of these Masters and he also writes essays about some of the things here. In fact, it kind of duplicate Sana literary. Well a lot of the stuff that I am interested in so I need to give them a shout out to put a link in cuz it's definitely something you should look up the He says that this is a study in fear the stories about Vietnam and about attitudes to fear. So he doesn't expect these and to be brave. He feels he must be brave or it's just not even fails. It's it's implicit in the culture that these the young man men must be brave and it's sort of took a little bit in the woman is very brave as it turns out because what is the secret of overcoming fear? It's not to not be frightened. It's it is to stand through Thursday. So it's not actually Brave not to be frightened of anything. It's just that's a bit Psychopathic. It's about overcoming your fear. So and Julia does this and does it very well off the fact that she's very aged. She probably about fifty a year round never say again. The other thing to say is is one little scene. Also that Michael calamari brings out is that in the Moonlight. He turned our man wage. Shorthouse turns to Jim Short housing turns to I think I worked at the gym short house. Once now that wasn't Jim shall I tell you who he was he was Jim Gatos and I think he was he must be reached from Durham. So I think is probably related to Mark Gatiss the great man. Who does the ghost stories for Christmas who who wasn't really thoughtful crap a guy, you know, he's definitely worth listening to I always enjoy his stuff. So there you go. That's a digression. I said, it wasn't going to digress but what can you do? My name the digressed again about digressing then so but held myself back. Where was I? Yeah, the transformation of the aunt into a younger woman which Jim finds horrific y a y does he find it horrific? I thought maybe she was transformed into the the made the choice made but it doesn't seem to be that there's no follow through with that. So why is it horrific that she's faces turned in apart from her eyes into a young girl again. And what does how does it affect the story? So I don't know why I put that in I guess that was a an upwelling of his subconscious you got who knows why I put that in but I didn't find that frightening but he did so that's sort of end of discussion the things I wanted to shout out. Our old style Tales look them up show notes have got a link. I've done a survey Survey Monkey survey cuz I kind of is still I'm very interested in what people think about the podcast what they want to hear on the podcast and whether I'm doing it, right that's there. There's a link in the show notes go to that and the other thing feed spot. Is service run by a guy called Arnold's Ogawa from Bombay on Mumbai and he has compiled a list of the top hundred wage podcast and we and number six and it's even better than that because all the ones above us are those true Experience Podcast switch ice gone been honest with you, you know, I was walking down the last song as I said blah blah blah, you know, like all the same Source I used to do ghost hunts. I used to lead parties on ghost hunts, you know back in the day and had some strange things happen, but a lot of this stuff with most haunted stuff is just recycled pop. Give me a good piece of literature any day. But anyway, we are number six. So shout out to him, which they're done done great for us, you know, and if you promote something to do with some some good I have also got into a newsletter swap thing. So I will just say off. Who that we're we're we're doing a swap with a book called right like hell and if you check that, I think it's discounted it should be but it's like it's a very well-reviewed. I've got a copy. I bought a bought with my own cash a copy, but I haven't read it yet, but it's got like a stuff that's reminiscent of lagati and stuff like that. So I think I'll like it and looking forward to reading it's on my I've got two piles. I've got a Kindle pile which is virtual. Otherwise, it would go up to the moon and a pile of print books which is not virtual and I kind of have to wage I'm not going to keep that and throw it out because I simply don't have enough space but then course like many of you are by it again later on ago. He had missed that story. That was great to talk about again. Anyway, I'm trying to control my rambling the music at the beginning as you know is by Jonathan Sharps hardwood Institute. I'm a big fan of theirs and the end music is dead. Paste buy a divining which is one of the podcast listeners effective. Also listen to the podcast. So there you go. And that is a drowning. Okay, so both chilling atmosphere Eric moody. This is a free podcast I'm going to do I've changed my mind about doing three subscriber one free. "Swallowed it with a little shiver. He's only an idea now is to get out of the month before her collapse became inevitable, but this could not safely be done by turning tail and running from the enemy in action was no longer possible every minute. He was growing less Master himself off and desperate aggressive measures were imperative without further delay more over the action must be taken towards the enemy not away from it the climax if necessary a month would have to be faced boldly. He can do it now, but in ten minutes, you might not have a force left to act for himself much less for both. Upstairs the sounds of meanwhile becoming louder and closer accompanied by occasional creaking of the board's someone was moving stealthily about stumbling now and then all quickly against the furniture waiting a few moments to allow the tremendous dose of spirits to produce its effect and knowing this would last but a short time under circumstances short house, then quietly got to his feet saying in a determined voice now, I'm Julia will go upstairs and find out what all these noises you must come to wage. We agreed. It picked up his stick and went to the cupboard for the candle a limp form Rose shakily beside him breathing hard and he heard a voice say very faintly something about being able to come the woman's courage amazed him. It was so much greater than his own and as the advanced holding Aloft the dripping candle some subtle Force exhale from this trembling Whiteface Club. Woman at his side. That was the true source of his inspiration. It held something really great that shamed him and gave him the support without which it would have proved far less equal to the occasion the across the dark Landing avoiding with our office is the Deep black space over the banisters, then they began to mount the narrow staircase to meet the sounds which minute-by-minute grew louder and nearer about halfway passed off as Julia stumbled and short house turned to catch her by the arm and just at that moment there came a terrific crash in a service Corridor overhead. It was instantly followed by a shrill Edge Ice Cream. That was a cry of Terror and a cry for help melted into one. Before they can move aside all go down a single stab someone came rushing along the passage overhead blundering horribly racing madly at full speed three-step wage the time down the very staircase where they stood the steps were lightened and certain but close behind them sounded the heavier tread of another person and the staircase home seem to shake short house and His companion just had time to flatten themselves against the wall when the jumble of flying steps as upon them until persons with the slightest possible between them dashed past at full speed. It was a perfect Whirlwind of sound breaking in upon the midnight Silence of the empty building. The two Runners pursuer and pursued it passed clean through them where they stood and already with a thunder boards below. I'd received first one then the other yet. I had seen absolutely nothing not a hand or arm or face or even a shred of flying clothing. That came a second sport then the first one the lighter of the two, obviously the pursued one ran with uncertain footsteps into the little room where short hairs and his Anta just left the hell alone followed. There was a sound of scuffling gasping and smothered screaming and then out onto the landing came to step of a single person thread wait till 8. A dead silence followed to the space of half a minute and then was heard a rushing sound through the air. It was followed by a dull crashing thud in the depths of the house below Palm on the stone floor of the hall. Not to silence reigned after nothing moved. The flame of the candle is steady. It had been steady the whole time and the air had been undisturbed by any movement whatsoever of palsied with Terror aren't Julia without waiting for her companion began fumbling her way downstairs. She was crying gently to herself and went short has put his arm around her and half carried her. She felt that she was trembling like a leaf. You went into the little room and picked up the cloak from the floor and arm-in-arm walking very slowly without speaking a word. I'm looking once behind them. They marched down the three flights into the Hall in the hall Sr. Nothing but the whole way down the stairs, they were conscious at someone followed them step by step. When they went faster it was left behind and when they went more slowly it caught them up. But never once they look behind to say and at each turning staircase, they lowered their eyes for fear of the following horror. They might see upon the stairs above Earth Trembling Hands short house opened the front door and they walked out into the Moonlight and drew a deep breath of the cool night air blowing in from the sea. Everybody dies dancing and there's nuts are you trying to get into the store today? Didn't you talk to the Dead come back on? What's the secret think so that was Elgin in Blackwood the empty house. That's the second story. We've done by Blackwood. We did on just before Christmas break and 2019 and there that was episode twenty which was the Kit which was set on Christmas Eve, which is where we did for Christmas and I said then just to remind you wage Algernon Blackwood was an English writer born in 1869 who by the end of his long life became a broadcaster on radio and TV critics loved him at the time. He was very well received and even HP Lovecraft excited Blackwood is one of the Masters of The Craft he came from it was quite an interesting man. He came from a well-to-do family and was privately educated wage. A bit but was rather adventurous. He was interested in Hinduism and he had a very varied career wandering all over the world who ran a dairy farm in Canada and also a hotel in the country. It was a newspaper reporter in New York City was a bartender a model and also a violin teacher. So he was a polymath and he was always writing like being outdoors and many of his stories featured the outdoors. Obviously. This story has a very English feeling English Seaside town. He was a member of the society for psychical research found. It said that this story is based on one of the haunted houses or one of the cases in he investigated it certainly feels very similar to that kind of hairy prices investigations a bully rectory. He was also a magician he was a member and I don't mean a stage conjuror. I mean a a sorcerer, he was a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and other writers. Just Arthur machen and WB Yeats with members. And of course Aleister Crowley who would have liked to seen himself as a and he was I mean, I've read a lot of Crowley's books. If you want to.

"So with this little reflection as possibly simply real it the candle and went on up to the next floor the arm in his trembled is true and his own try and was often uncertain, but they went on with fairness and after a search revealing nothing. They climbed the last flight of stairs to the top floor of all. Here they found a perfect nest of small servants rooms with broken pieces of furniture. Dirty cane bottom chairs chests of drawers cracked mirrors and decrepit bedsteads. The rooms had low sloping ceilings already hung here and there with cobwebs small windows and badly plastered walls a depressing and dismal region, which they were Cloud toolbox behind. It was on the stroke of midnight when they entered a small room on the third floor close to the top of the stairs and arranged to make themselves comfortable for the remainder of their Adventure package. It was absolutely bear and was said to be the room then used as a Clothes Closet into which the infuriated groom had chased his victim and finally caught her outside across a narrow Landing began the stairs leading up to the floor above and the servants quarters where they had just searched in spite of the chilliness of the night. There was something in the air of this room that cried for a window. But there was more than this. Shorthouse could only describe it by saying that he felt less Master himself here than in any other part of the house. There was something that acted directly on the nerves tiring the resolution off and feeling the will it was conscious of this result before he had been in the Room 5 minutes and it was in the short time. They stayed there that he suffered the wholesale depletion of his vital forces, which was home itself the chief horror of the whole experience. they put the candle on the floor of the cupboard leaving the door a few inches of Jar so that it was no glare to confuse the eyes and no Shadow to shift about on walls and ceiling then wage spread the cloak on the floor and sat down to wait with our backs against the wall short house was within two feet of the door to the landing is positioned commanded a good view of the main staircase leads down into the darkness and also of the beginning of the servants stairs going to the floor above the heavy stick lay beside him within easy reach The moon was now high above the house through the open window. They could see the comforting stars like friendly eyes watching in the sky one by one the clocks of the truck struck midnight and when the sounds died away the Deep Silence Of The Windlass night battle again over everything. Only the boom of the sea far away and lugubrious filled the air with Halo murmurs. Inside the house the silence became awful awful he thought because any minute now it might be broken by sounds pretending Terror the strain of wage told more and more severely on the nerves. They talked in Whispers when they talked at all for their voices allowed sounded queer and unnatural a chilliness not altogether due to the igniter invaded the room made them cold. The influence is against them whatever these might be was slowly robbing them of self-confidence and the power of decisive action their forces were on the Wane and the possibility of real fear took on a new and terrible meaning he began to tremble for the elderly woman by his side his pluck could hardly safer Beyond a certain extent. And the blood singing in his veins it's sometimes seemed so loud that he fancied prevented his hearing properly certain other sounds that were beginning very faintly wage make themselves audible in the depths of the house every time he fastened his attention on the sounds. They instantly ceased they certainly came no nearer home yet. It could not rid himself of the idea that movement was going on somewhere in the lower regions of the house the drawing room floor where the doors had been so strangely closed seemed to near the sounds of further off than that. He thought of the great kitchen with the scurrying black Beatles and of the dismal little scullery, but somehow or other they did not seem to come from there either surely they were not outside the house. Then suddenly the truth flashed into his mind for the space of a minute he felt as if his blunted stopped flowing and turned to Ice Berg sounds were not downstairs at all. They were upstairs upstairs somewhere among those horrid gloomy little servants rooms with a bits of broken Furniture those ceilings and cramped Windows upstairs with a victim had first been Disturbed and stalked to her death and the moment he discovered where the sounds were. He began to hear more clearly. It was a sound of feet moving stealthily among the passage overhead In and Out Among the rooms and passed the furniture. He turned quickly to steal a glance at the motionless figure seated beside him to note whether she had shared his Discovery the faint Candlelight coming through the crack in the cupboard door through her strongly marked Faith Center pivot relief against the white of the wall, but it was something else that made him catch his breath and stare again and extraordinary something had come into her face and seemed to spread over her features like a mask. It's smoothed out the Deep lines and through the skin everywhere a little tighter so that the wrinkles disappeared It brought into the face with the sole exception of the old eyes and the appearance of Youth and almost with childhood. He stared in speechless amazement amazement that was dangerously near to horror. It was his aunt's face indeed, but he was her face of forty years ago the vacant innocent face of a girl. He had heard stories of that strange effect of Terror which could wipe a human countenance clean of other emotions obliterating all previous Expressions, but he had never realized that it could be literally true or could mean anything. So simply horrible was what he now saw for the Dreadful signature of overmastering fear was written plainly in that home baked conceive the girlish face beside him and when feeling his intense gaze she turned to look at him instinctively closed his eyes tightly to shut out the site. Yet when he turned a minute later, his feelings well in hand. He saw to his intense relief another expression. His own was smiling and though the face was deathly white the awful velen did and the normal look was returning. Anything wrong with only good thing called to say at the moment and the answer was eloquent coming from such a woman. I feel cold and a little frightened. She whispered he offered to close the window, but she seized hold of him and begged him not to leave her side even for an instant. It's upstairs. I know she whispered with an old Half-Life but I can't.

"House felt at least half the decision grew out of his legs. Come on. He said pre-emptive and his voice ran on and lost itself in the dark empty spaces below. I'm coming. She faulted catching his arm with unnecessary violence. They when it's a little unsteadily down the stone steps a cold damp and meeting them in the face close and malodorous the kitchen into which the stairs LED along a narrow passageway just launched the lofty ceiling several doors opened out of it some into cupboards with empty jars Still Standing on the shelves and others into a horrible little ghostly back offices each cold and less inviting than the last black Beatles scurried over the floor and once when they knocked against deal table standing in a corner something else. Signs of a cat jumped down with a Russian fled scampering across the stone floor into the darkness everywhere. There was a sense of recent occupation an impression of sadness and Gloom. Leaving the Main Kitchen. They next went towards the scullery the door standing ajar and as they pushed it open to its full extent aren't Julia uttered a piercing scream, which instantly trying to stifle my placing her hand over her mouth for a second short house stood stock still catching his breath. He felt as if his spine had suddenly become a hollow and someone had filled it with particles of ice facing them directly in the way between the door poem toward the figure of a woman. She had to sheveled hair and wildly staring eyes and her face was terrified and white as death. He stood there motionless for the space in a single second, then the candle flickered and she was gone gone utterly and the doorframe nothing but empty Darkness. Only the Beast like jumping Candlelight. He said quickly in a voice that sounded like someone else's was only half of the control a come on out. If there's nothing there he dragged her off board with a clattering of feet and a great appearance of boldness. They went on but over his body the skin moved as if crawling ants covered it and he knew by the weight on his arm. He was supplying the force of locomotion for to the scullery was cold Barren empty more like a large prison cell and anything else. They went around it trying the door into the yard and the windows were found them all fastened securely, his aren't moved beside him like a person in a dream her eyes were tightly shut and she seemed merely to follow the pressure of his arm a courage volt with amazement at the same time. He noticed that a certain odd change had come over her face a change which somehow evaded his power of analysis. There's nothing here on c d ROM To the lab quickly. Let's go upstairs and see the rest of the house then we'll choose a room to wait up in. She followed him obedient Lee keeping close to his side and then lock the kitchen door behind him. It was a relief to get up again in the hall. It was more light than before for the moon had traveled a little further down the same thing. There's cautiously the began to go up into the dark Vault of the Upper House the boards creaking under their weight. On the first floor, they found a large double drawing rooms a search of which revealed nothing here also was no sign of furniture or recent occupancy nothing but dust and the exact and shadows. They opened the big folding doors between front and back drawing rooms and then came out again to The Landing and went on upstairs. They had not gone up more than it doesn't steps when they've both simultaneously stopped to listen looking into each other's eyes with a new apprehension across the flickering candle flame from the room. They had left hardly 10 seconds before came found doors quietly closing. It was beyond all question. They heard the booming noise of the companies that shutting of heavy doors followed by the sharp catching. The latch. We must go back and see said short has briefly in a low tone and turned to go downstairs again. Somehow she managed to drag after him a feat catching and address of face livid when they entered the front drawing-room. It was playing that the folding doors had been closed half a minute before off without hesitation short has opened them. He almost expected to see someone facing him in the back room, but only darkness and cold air met him. They went through both rooms finding nothing unusual. They tried in every way to make the doors closed of themselves, but there was not wind enough to even set the candle flame flickering the doors would not move without strong pressure or with silent as the grave undeniably the rooms were utterly empty and house at least still. It's Beginning whispered of voice at his elbow which he hardly recognized as his aunt's he nodded acquiescence taking out his watch to note the time it was 15 minutes before midnight you made the entry of exactly what had occurred in his notebook setting the candle in its case upon the floor in order to do so, it took a moment or two to balance. It's a flicks the wall. On Julia always declared that at this moment. She was not actually watching him but had turned her head towards the inner room where she fancied she heard something moving. But at any rate both positive agreed that they came to sound of rushing feet heavy and very Swift and next instant. The candle was out. But the short has himself become more than this and he has also thanked his fortunate stars that it came to him alone and not his aunt to 4 as he rose from the stupid condition of balancing the candle and before it was actually extinguished a face thrust itself forward. So close to his own that he could almost have touched it with his lips thought it was a face working with passion a man's face dark with thick features and angry Savage eyes. You belong to a common man and it was evil in its ordinance normal expression no doubt, but as he saw it alive with intense aggressive emotion, it was a malignant and terrible human countenance. However, she had seen nothing but it only heard the rushing feet or her control returned almost at once and he was able to disentangle himself and strike a match off the Shadows run away at all sides before the glare and these ants took down and grab for the Cigar Case with the precious candle. Then they discovered that the candle had not been blown out at all. It had been crushed out. So close that it seemed they must have actually been by his side in the darkness with the possibility of practical jokes in his mind short had one swung his heavy stick in the direction of the sound but it meant nothing more solid than are he heard his aren't give a little gasp beside him. Someone here suggested. I heard him be quiet. He said sternly he was nothing but the noise of the front door. Oh get aligned quick. She added as a nephew fumbling with the box of matches opened it upside down and let them all full with a rattle on to the stone floor the sound however was not repeated and there was no evidence of retreating footsteps took another minute. They had a candle burning using an empty end of a Cigar Case as the holder and when the first flared died down he held the impromptu lamp a loft and surveyed the scene. And it was dreary enough in all conscience for there is nothing more desolate in all the abodes of men than an unfurnished house demolet silent and Forsaken and yet tenanted by rumor with the memories of evil and violent histories. There were standing in a wide hallway on the left was they open door of a spacious dining room and in front the hallway and have a narrowing into a long dark passage that led apparently to the top of the kitchen stairs the broad and carpeted staircase rose and a sweet before them everywhere drapac Shadows except for a single spot about halfway up with a moon light came in through the window and foul in a bright patch on the boards. The shaft of light should a faint Radiance above and below it lending to the objects within its reach and missed the outline that was infinitely more suggestive and ghostly than complete darkness them filtered Moonlight always seems to paint faces on the surrounding Gloom and the short house. Up into the well of darkness and thought of the countless empty rooms and passages in the upper part of the old house. He caught himself longing again for the safety of the Moon that square or the Cozy bright drawing-room. They had left an hour before then realizing that these thoughts were dangerous. He thrust my way again and summoned all his energy for concentration on the present aren't Julia. He said aloud severely we must go now through the house from top to bottom and make a thorough search. The Echoes of his voice died away slowly all over the building and in the intense silence that followed he turned to look at her in the candle light he saw that her face was not ready ghastly pale, but she dropped his arm for a moment and said in a whisper stepping close in front of him. I agree. We must be sure. There's no one hiding that's the first thing she spoke with evident effort and he looked at her with admiration you feel quite sure of yourself. It's not too late. I I think so. She whispered her eyes shifting nervously towards the channels behind quite sure only one thing what's that? You must never leave me alone for an instant. As long as you understand that any sound or appearance must be investigated at once for the hesitate means to admit fear. That is fatal. Agreed she said a little shakily after a moment's hesitation. I'll try in short. I was holding the dripping candle in the stick while these aren't carried the cloak over her head shoulders figures of utter comedy to orbit themselves. They began a systematic search stealthily walking on tiptoe and shading the candle list. It should betray their presence through the office Windows. They went first into the big dining room. There was not a stick of furniture to be seen bare walls ugly mantelpieces an empty great stared at them everything. They felt presented their intrusion watching them as it were with veiled our highest Whispers followed them Shadows flitted noiselessly to right and left off. Something seemed ever at that back watching waiting an opportunity to do them injury. There was the inevitable censored operations which went on when the room was empty had been temporarily suspended until they were well out of the way again, the whole dark interior of the old building seemed to become a malignant presence rose up warning them to desist and mind their own business every moment The Strain on the nerves increased out.

I'm sitting with my fellow producers, Brian Anderson. Don't wave sale lower or something. Hello. And Nathan Howell. Brian, let's start with you. What is the version of the Blackwood bug man that you know who could question? I don't know. I always imagined the bug man. It's like the Terminator meets the fly and dripping wet disgusting. But basically just the giant bodybuilder who casually h people. Okay. Is that what you heard when you were younger or is that just what you imagine is definitely by just what I imagined I heard he's a protector protects the woods and stuff. So you're saying he's not terminated weeds people. Now, let's dope right. And Nathan, your noodle Blackwood. I mean, is that a question? Well, I just I wonder if we can get a perspective of the legend from the new boy in town. Question newborn. Okay. Let's let's take that again. Molly and Brian, having been friends, their whole lives typically spent their summers working on a project when they were eleven. They tried to start a band thirteen day wanted to shoot their own alien movie. But at the end of their sophomore year of high school, Nathan Hal moved to town and eventually joined the team inspired by their favorite horror podcasts, Molly, and Brian wanted to produce their own show, be the first to release a full breakdown of the Blackwood bug band legend. Nathan's motivations were a little less creative. I mean, there's nothing else to do in this town. There's tons of stuff to do here. Mike, why go to the mall or the movie theater, which is in the mall? Yes. Your mom never talked about creepy stuff from our hometown. I mean, no, no. She never really talked about Blackwood at all. We wouldn't even be here. She didn't have to take my grandpa, so I'm just glad there's some Stephen moss to talk about. That's not totally stupid. People have seen it like people have sevi- seen big foot. Right. What's your saying Bigfoot isn't real dude, come on. You don't know this. I'm not saying I definitely believe in the bug man. Just saying like a lot of people do some say the Blackwood bug man is timeless and ageless demon watching over this region since before mankind even existed. Wait, hold up. How do you do that? What you sound like an actual reporter? I am an actual reporter. And so are you okay. Let's go. Look what. I'll kill you. Shut up. Here's somebody comes. Excuse me, sir. Do you have a second to talk about a local legend today? Sorry. All right. We're off to a great start. Well, that's a good example of something I can just edit out. Excuse me, ma'am. Have you ever heard of the Blackwood buckman you're blocking. Yeah, you suck at this dude he tried, I will try. What about this guy here? Right. Pardon me, sir. But if you heard of the Blackwood buckman man, see what's that a movie. Zip. Some nonsense about scaring kids, right? My son's scratched up my car and blame the bug man. Does that count? I have a cousin who said she saw it really. Can we talk to her? She's dead. I'm so sorry. How did she die? None of your business. Have a good day. Yes, over guessing was definitely killed by the bug man. This sucks. Honestly..

"On young Charlie, we take you on a dark and twisted journey through the life of America's boogeyman Charles Manson. It seems like there's some sort of local boogeyman no matter where you go in the world. I mean, we've all heard of the Loch Ness, monster Bigfoot, but have you ever heard of the Blackwood bug man? In the new podcast Blackwood you'll be taken on a wild ride by three of the town's teenagers who start a podcast to investigate the urban legend monster of Blackwood the bug man, but soon find out that the danger is much more real than they thought you're about to hear a preview of Blackwood in which you'll hear Molly Brian and Nathan as a start out on their investigation and come to realize that there is more to the bug man story than they initially bargained for because sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction. Five years ago, three teenagers from the small town of Blackwood, Connecticut started an investigation into a local legend. We are officially recording. Hold on within weeks.
