"So if they can clean up those type of plays win more battles in their own end of the ice, get pucks out into the neutral zone and they talked about the last before the game against the LA kings, but in St. Louis and in Philadelphia, they played so well defensively that they quickly moved the puck up to their forward so they got it out of the zone and then that gives you the opportunity to put pressure on the opposition team, spend some time down in the offensive zone, which the Blackhawks did not spend a whole lot of time in that area tonight. So they've got to clean up what they do in their own end of the ice and really make sure that they start winning some of these puck battles and manage the puck well when they have the opportunity to do so. The 30 penalty minutes for the black hawks obviously didn't help either, although they did kill all 5 power plays that the Canucks had. Some good Sam lafferty we talked about talked about a little bit too who's been a nice bright spot this season for the hawks a guy that's been a pretty good storyline and who knows what's gonna happen. We have plenty of time to talk about it leading up to the trade deadline in early March, but I know some have already started to talk about Sam lafferty, but some good from laugh where he had a goal and Patrick Kane who you and I talked about a little bit in the pregame still maybe not a 100% missed some time, not the Patrick Kane production we've seen all year, but he did get one into the net tonight. So if we're looking at some good things tonight, those two stood out. Yeah, you know, for Patrick, I know it's been a frustrating season as far as his offense and his numbers have gone and he's a guy that prides himself on being the guy for the Blackhawks offensively and he's tried. He sees work hard. He actually made a couple really good defensive plays in this game. Back checking and tracking the park the right way. He had a couple shots on goal. He had three shots that were blocked. If you look at it, Seth Jones had three shots on goal. And that was they were all in the first period. If you look at the Vancouver Canucks on the flip side of this and I don't want to get away from the point of Patrick Kane scoring the goal. But the only player that didn't have at least one shot was their best offensive defenseman Quinn Hughes, which is surprising when you look at some of the guys 5 5 5 6 6 shots, 5 shots, 6 shots, 5 shots. I mean, their whole lineup was creating a lot of opportunities. The Blackhawks didn't have those and Kane only two shots on goal. One of them found the back of the net. So he made the most of his opportunities in this game, but they've got to find a way to create more opportunities for Patrick Kane. They've got to find a way to get the puck in the offensive zone. And when Kane can get it in the offensive zone and settle it down and start moving it around, then you get into the position where the defensive team gets tired and now you can make the plays. You can bounce on those park. You can recover pucks and keep plays alive because again, when Vancouver gets 48 shots on goal and all the other numbers that they had as far as blocked and missed, that's not one and done. That's not coming down off the rush. That's getting second and third opportunities winning puck battles, you know, recovering pucks attacking again, getting rebounds. So that's where the Blackhawks really got to clean it up. And you know, when you have skilled players that have to spend time in your own end of the ice, like a guy like Patrick Kane, that's not a productive for him. And they did have a golden opportunity about midway through the third period Troy, where I believe it was max domi, who fed one to Andreas ethnicity. And Anthony just wasn't able to get his stick on it. It was a fast paced play. When you're not getting a lot of shots on goal, that was a really great opportunity, and then what happened, Vancouver, turned around and scored on their next possession. Yeah, and that was a big turning point. You're absolutely right. And we kind of touched on that because, you know, you come down here, you create a two on one opportunity. You haven't had a lot of chances. And you don't capitalize on it. You don't get the shot on. You don't even get a shot on goal. And I thought it was a good play by max. You could have maybe shot the puck, but it was a good play, and if Athens see you, finds that puck in one time that he's probably going to put it in the back of the net. But he found on it and ended up in the corner. All of a sudden transition comes back in Vancouver's course. So that was a big turning point. Anything else, just stick out to anything you saw tonight Troy, that's noteworthy that you'd like to get off your chest before we wrap up here. Well, it's just the fact that they've got to win puck battles. And I think Luke Richardson is going to talk about this when they had opportunities when they had possession. And they just didn't get parks out. But you've got to flip the switch here and give a lot of credit to Vancouver because they didn't give the Blackhawks defenseman when things were scrambling around much time and space to make plays. And they were all over pucks. They were winning the battles. They were more energized in the offensive zone. And you could really see that the energy with the new head coach Rick talk, it kind of filtered through their whole lineup throughout the whole 60 minutes. So give them a lot of credit because they dictated the pace of this game. The Blackhawks are going to have to find a way to change that because Calgary is going to play the same type of game and they're a heavy team. They're going to come at you and they're going to be relentless. So you're going to have to expect that same type of pressure. So the one thing the hawks are going to have to need to do is win those battles in their own end of the ice and find ways to get some Kleenex and get some pressure off them. And hey look, I know hawks fans don't want to hear it and there was so much drama leading up to this game with Vancouver and the coaching change. Look, credit to the Canucks.

Debbie Lesko: Democrats Want Open Borders

"Lesko, I don't think she's the only one that has that attitude. I think the entire Biden administration feels like we're the only country in the world that shouldn't have borders. Well, yeah. I mean, I work with the Democrats need to every day in the U.S. capitol. And I can tell you that the vast majority of them introduced legislation vote against legislation and both ways and they want open borders. Now I can only guess why they want orphan borders, but all their policies show that. It's not what they say. It's what they do. So President Biden on day one that he got into office he stops construction of the border fence. So I brought these Congress members down to the southern border in Arizona, and they witnessed firsthand the openings in the border fence. They saw him from the ground and then they went up in a Black Hawk helicopter and so I'm from the air and while we were on that black talk helicopter, we saw by the illegal immigrants crossing the Arizona border from Mexico waving their hands, waving us down. They wanted to turn themselves into border patrol to claim asylum. And this is what's happening thousands of people each and every day. Arizona governor Doug ducey also bust illegal immigrants up to Washington D.C. and so I'm glad that the Texas Florida Arizona governors are busing these people up there. And when there's only like a hundred or a couple thousand and they're freaking out up in the north and when the D.C. mayor calls on the federal government saying, oh my gosh, this is an emergency when a few hundred people show up, give me a break. We've been dealing with this each and every day. There's thousands that cross our border each day in Arizona.

What Director John Woo Got Wrong in 'Windtalkers'

"Where there's negatives is these combat scenes are filmed like action sequences in action movies. And I personally don't like that. Because I feel like it cheapens the combat. I prefer a cinema verite style. So if you watch, if you watch Saving Private Ryan, if you watch full metal jacket, if you watch Black Hawk down a little bit, but really the first two films, if you watched 1917, where it's a very flat documentary type style of filmmaking where you're and although chance Malik was stylized in what he did, he doesn't use slow motions. He doesn't use tracking sequences in these elaborate elaborate, the guys are jumping around and flying through the air. It's a very realistic form, even though it's a very stylized film in thin red line. But Saving Private Ryan is one of the better films Spielberg doesn't use those slow motion sequences except when you're showing disorientation and things like that. He doesn't use the her sweeping heroic music and the leaping and the jumping. The band and brothers series on the HBO and the Pacific as well, which is the companion series. There's a very good job of capturing combat from a realistic perspective. And I think that is more appropriate for a war film. I think that John whoo is a great action director, but he films these sequences as action sequences. And we'll talk some more about what he intended from the film and what we got. From the studio later, but I think that's the real problem with this. One of the real problems. There's a couple, but that's one of the real problems is this very cliched. It's very action cliche film techniques and it doesn't help the

"You mentioned this story, the prison uprising, Mike spann, a former marine CIA paramilitary. For those who know nothing, give us the story of that incredible event and what that man did. Yeah. It is incredible. And so November 25th, 2001. Two CIA officers walk into this fort called calla jangi, which means literally like fort of war outside mazar I Sharif. Now, backing up a little bit mazarin Sharif had fallen to northern alliance forces, aided by our allies. Our allies aided by the CIA green berets and air force combat controllers and the awesome might have U.S. air power overhead on November 10th. Now, less than a month earlier, Mike spann had been one of 8 CIA officers who landed in the Darius souf valley, aboard two Black Hawk helicopters that had flown in from Kashi Khan about K two, a former Soviet air base that Uzbekistan government had given over to the Americans for this post 9 11 mission. So October 17th, 2001, they land at dropped into the unknown. First Americans behind America. So we are barely barely a month out since 9 11. Yeah. First Americans behind them enemy lines. Joe Kent: From Army Special Forces to Congressional Candidate

"Joe Kent welcome to America first. Tell us your story first. We were going to discuss your epic decision to serve the nation again this time out of uniform, but tell us a little bit about your life history. What you decided to do at the age of 18 and what you've done in uniform for this nation. Absolutely so pretty much as far back as I can remember, I wanted to serve the country abroad, fighting our nation's wars. I came in just before 9 11. I was really inspired by the rangers in the 1993 Black Hawk down incident. So talking to the army recruiters and you got a ranger contract ready to high school, work my way into ranger regiment. I started my career there. And then my way into special forces. So green berets as most people know them. Actually, it was in special forces selection one 9 11 happens. So God done with the special forces qualifications course, immediately went to 5th special forces group and spent pretty much the next two decades at war. So winter combat 11 times for this country, greatest honor of my life. Retired the 20 year mark because I wanted to be able to stay in the fight operational retired on a Friday and then swore in as a paramilitary operations officer at the CIA on a Monday intended to make that my second career. I felt it was my nation's calling to serve this country overseas fighting war. But my time was cut short tragically because my late wife, Shannon Kent, who was also a special operator, a navy cryptologist and Arabic linguist who had joined the military right after 9 11. She was killed fighting ISIS in Syria in 2019. She was killed about a month after president Trump attempted to fulfill the will of the American people and get us out of our endless war. She was part of the final push to destroy the territory territorial caliphate. Once that happened, Trump attempted to get our troops out as he promised. And that's when the deep state essentially turned against him Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis and a bunch of other unelected bureaucrats, committed bureaucratic slow role, went to the media, their end result was that my wife and the element that she was worth a special operator she was with ended up staying in Syria, a month later her and three other great Americans are tragically killed by suicide bomber and managed Syria. So I decided that that moment that I had to resign from putting myself in physical danger to take care of our two young children, move back here to the Pacific Northwest, had a little bit of an opportunity to meet president Trump and really tell him that his America first foreign policy was actually giving it right. I served under Clinton, I served under Bush served under Obama and we remained in this state of continuous war and without making any gains really just for the benefit of the military industrial complex until president Trump came on the scenes and gave us the authorities and then really the ability to go out and crush the enemy decisively, but not getting any

The taliban now has the twenty six largest air force in the world with zero pilots. Six hundred thousand weapons seventy five thousand vehicles two hundred total aircraft and eighty five billion dollars in total weapons hundred ten helicopters sixty transportation cargo airplanes twenty light attack airplanes and eighteen intelligence reconnaissance and surveillance airplanes. Rep. Brian Mast Shares His Thoughts on Afghanistan Crisis

"I will start with my number one security concern and it goes to this. The fact that that not just in the next couple days or weeks or months, but in the years to come We will see civilians in military combatants killed with US weaponry. And here's the number one question. I think that reporters should be asking them as an example. Hey, how many racy on built Manpads Man Portable aerial Defense technology systems. Did the Taliban get their hands on? Because you're about to evacuate thousands. By airlift, and you just gave them the weaponry as president. Biden said that they gave him the most advanced weaponry. Well, which weaponry and how many of them did you give them? To shoot down aircraft because this could end up looking like that scene in Black Hawk down where they're driving down that road, just taking fire from all directions. They're not answering these questions about what that inventory is. And and every single day that we get further down the road of what are we on Day, seven day eight of the Afghanistan hostage crisis here? Every day that we get further down the road. They learn more about their capabilities there more dug in. They have more command and control of the terrain around them. And let's put one other one other point on that, which just goes to say. How backward everything that the president said in his press conference was to say right. He said that he made it clear any interruption of our operations will have a swift response. Well. Isn't surrounding the airport and not letting anybody in or out and interruption of that. And I see no response. Um and you know, the fact of the matter is we all know from history that when, when optics The biggest concern of politicians. Then people get killed,

"When when you're out there, it's like nothing happens. The one thing that I'm loving seeing, And this is what I talked about when the when the power play was not being successful is the motion and I, actually, honestly I was watching Columbus's powerfully. And they got stagnant on the half ports. And it's it's an easy kill. But when you saw Patrick Kane one side of the ice to the other, the movement between Duncan Keith, you know, setting up Kubelik. You've got some good motion down low with Sean Strom. Moving in from the front of the net. Harry ordered another slot from the middle of the ice to the side of the ice to be available. Lots of good movement and that's what you need, and it was not a buzzkill. They had lots of opportunities in the first power play. They had five chances and they were really good. Unfortunately, they didn't score. But you're not going to be too disappointed because sometimes you're just not going to score. But it's the processes as you look forward to how you need to play to be successful in the long run, and right now you're seeing some really good moment at movement, and I think that the guys out there and especially, you know you have to focus on Patrick Kane. I think he's kind of excited. What's going on. If people feel that he's excited about what's going on here, said I liked the options. You know, Alex to break its Not there.
