"Rapids Burger made an appearance on the CBS TV morning show before any of the rest of this was known, and there, he repeated. It's unlikely that there could be enough change in the vote count with the audit to flip our state President Trump's directions into the day. I think you'll find that when we do the angry count of all the votes, it'll substantiate what we've gotten with electronic God. Ballot. Counting with the machines. County recounts must be started by tomorrow morning finished by midnight next Wednesday. The legal deadline for the state to certify its election results is a week from tomorrow. "I still have a lot of questions to ask you, but we're talking about Email for second, and I know you this is you mentioned earlier. This is the subject of your next book, but I'm thinking about Email a lot. Not only in terms of that you mind talking about the subject. Yeah. I'm thinking about Email a lot not only personally in terms of my consumption of it. And how it is. That's the thing when I'm as it mindless. I don't know. I I'm just very obsessed with inbox zero. I wanted just get down. I want to deal with all these emails. So I find that when I'm waiting for elevators, when I'm having a mindless moment of checking in it's going right to Email because I have so much of it that I need to deal with. So that strikes me as not super healthy. A and then be, you know, now, I'm going to the first time in my life really in a kind of leadership position within a company because I work here at ABC news. But also have a company called tempers and happier, which is a meditation up, and I'm wanna think of ways healthy ways to communicate with the employee's in my co founders and all that stuff in a way that if I sent an Email four clock on a Sunday morning because I'm awake because I'm going to work because I work early on Sunday mornings. They don't feel like they need to respond to that. It's, it's just that I had the thought at that moment. So what's the right way to communicate and all of this? What's the right way to manage your own Email, and what's the right way to communicate within a healthy organization of the things on my mind? So I'm just curious if that triggers any thoughts for you. Well, yeah there's a lot. There's a book books worth the fuss. Because this is what's different about Email. Let's say social media when it comes to like an unhealthy relationship with social media, that's almost entirely on you and you could stop doing it, right. You could stop away from Instagram and your life might be better. And it's fine. The maybe some friends will be upset. You there've been, it's okay Email. If you say, I, I hate how much check Email not checking it. I know for personal experience. That's not gonna work because people need you and your boss, d do something onto DD two. It's something gets dropped it. So I think the issue with EBay all it's not the tool itself. It's the underlying approach the work that it secretly brought it through the back door. Right. And so what we've done when Email came along. It changed the way we worked without anyone could sit without any wants planning. It was, what are these unpredictable? Birgit changes like the Horster up lead, the futile is type of situation. So what I think happens when Email came in a gave us low friction very easy communication ability. Is that what we did was? We took our natural instinct. About how we should coordinate the way that we used to coordinate with their groups of three of us on the savannah. We were hunting Bassett which is ad hoc. Unstructured. Hey, you go that way. I'll go this way. Hey, did you see that sabertooth tiger? Cub over there was unstructured at hawked away that we're it sticks. Really s- accord, eight small tribes. And we tried to scale it up the whole organizations. We said we can have this odd going unstructured conversation through low, low friction digital communication, EBay or something like slack. This we tried to scale up this instinct. We have let's just have this odd conversation at figure things out on the fly the thing about that is, it's, it's very flexible and it's very easy. So it makes sense why it spread a very, flexible, adaptive easy way to, to organize organization. But on the other hand, it turns out the directly conflict with how our braid works because in order to take this sort of tribal conversation..

"At Birgit. This place should have been buzzing. It should have been the aftermath of a vital election inside. Well, everything fell aftermath of Avital election. Instead. Well, every everybody's boned came at the very last moment as I say, the independent national electoral Commissioner announcing they simply weren't ready to hold the poll despite having a lot of time to organize it. So has been the focus or is of the last couple of days of criticism the electoral body looks of anger about this on the streets in newspapers on social media calls the neck head to step down theory that the announcement was made so late as well. What I keep saying that Nigerians will vote this coming weekend. Instead a week later, but international observers at deeply concerned, including Festas Mohi, the former president of Botswana. It's regrettable particularly that. There was no indication that it might okay? And. Very last minute. I think that's an equitable from the explanation. So the chairperson away objective, did you Cica Christine. So rich. Anna. If only they had taken the public can everybody to their confidence. The impact would not have been so kind of traumatic. There are plenty of Nigerians who failed the delay calls into question the credibility of the polls when they do happen. Do you agree with that judgment? This is a political situation and therefore. Suspicions can be expected in the logic of seconds since I don't have necessarily proof that this petrified conspiracy. I just think that I had been somewhat inept and estimated the challenges. They were facing you're saying that you understand why people might questioned the credibility is the crisis. So what can I Nick do then to reassure people? Really? They can just explain it's to relate the Eric there now explaining what the minds the explanation is is that it's too late in the day. People would say you said you were confident that the elections have good you take place when they should. And then at the last minute, you postpone them when we were actually the police stations. And this matters doesn't the credibility of those hosting the election organizing. The elections is critical. Jeez. I has not Danny salary fever. Have you had reassurances from my neck that convince you that things will be ready in a week's time. Yes, they think they can do it. But like everybody else, I am not to show because there are too many things that needs to be completed the needs to be done. Like, what are the main things the various is tremendous that have to be stimulated to the states into cities. And so on the existing ones have to be inspected, the auditing, it's a great deal of work to be done. I don't know whether the that can be managed or not I'm not in a position to judge. But it makes me. Offensive and not sure that it will be done in time. And we is yes about the possible reaction of the people to the outcome of the elections. As a result of the circumstances surrounding good management, Joe off of the election. I Nick has been fair to itself. They appears to have been various logistical constraints of which they wear away, but the hoop to overcome them, which is okay, but they should have taken the nation above all the nation. And international community and everybody into their is. Well, that was fastest Mohi. The former president of Botswana giving us his views his doubts about the ability of I next to conduct a poll next Saturday. What about the politicians though, and their supporters? What do they feel? We're joined now live by Rubicam Barry from the Bihari support organization in favor, of course. Harry support organization in favor, of course of preventative talk about the logistical issues. Leading to this delay first of all what is your reaction to the delay? Reaction to the delay is thought. You know, the neck management. A collection of credit has novelties led by the professor. They must have a very very entries to have done that. But at the last minute, that's the thing, isn't it. If they knew there was a problem, why tell Nigerians in the early hours of Saturday morning when people had already traveled to the polling stations where you know, sometimes something happens, and you don't get to know the fact of it. Until the late hours. So you wouldn't say because assume many things have happened. People have moved and data very very serious reasons for the for the election, not to continue to go. Probably if it had happened would have been what situation. So I guess they have very slurs reason much more than they have told the what do really think it could be even more serious. That's what I believe. That's what we think. So the issue then is as you heard Festus, high former president of Botswana saying that all they even going to be able to do it in a week's time. That's the concern. Now, isn't it? That is further delayed. We leave that to to to the area we live that to what happens next for what we know is that they're doing all the econ-. They're talking about materials not available. We see them working round the clock. We are there on their toes at the moment know, the whole world. What is watching them? Indeed what? Shing one issue, of course, is the election material is being sent out around this vast country to different places have been so many accusations made by your party in the past of rigging. People are going to be worried about tempering people are going to be worried that election material bulletin ballots. And so on sitting around that's an open opportunity for people to come in. And if these elections in an illegal way now that this has happened has kept everybody on that. The player has indicated there's a problem you could see so many speculations under the place. So we are not sleeping our eyes opened. You talk about empire electoral umpire, make and the thing about that is already even before this postponement, your main challenges, the PDP was saying these elections aren't going to be fair. They're going to be rigged by the electoral commission. This delay. Just could it into credit questioned the credibility of the polls. Come on. I don't mind the PDP. Major-party their health the country. Party their position mind you the opposition. They used to Reagan is their trade is talk. But now, they're saying you're empowering, you'll the ones who are going to rig the election now, but you know, our leadership, you know, the integrity of our president at the moment. He's a man of impeccable character, he has told us we shouldn't we the the the party wouldn't do anything they against the law of the land. Because we doing this for maybe need for the people. We're trying to make sure that all the wrongs of the past is corrected. So we wouldn't wreak but they used to rig in. So I mean, getting some party political blows in there at the end, I've had a geographic Gambari from the Bihari support organization giving her reaction to that postponement of these elections in Nigeria..

"Yeah i've seen i've seen a couple of little battles like that i mean they're very interesting and intense to watch i saw a a red tailed hawk had grabbed a mink out in the county or something so about obama that family it looked like to me but a grabbed it and the and had it on the ground in the buzzards were attacking the hawk because it had a critter and finally the hawk had had enough of the harassment on the ground and flew up into the low low limb with whatever the critter was and we had to keep going going by of course we're in traffic but but that was an interesting battle to watch my favorite air one one in the air was at hooper's island last year year before osprey flies over with a fish followed by an eagle and underneath the radar is a crow they're all they're they're like they're like the blue angels flash animation everywhere the osbournes went the eagle went to grow went and you know who's gonna wind up the crows gonna wind up with fish whatever it is but but that was pretty cool and then just the other day i saw i saw a an osprey dive on an immature eagle on fifty i mean it's just fascinating watching you know you see the you see the mocking birds attack the crows or the red wing blackbirds attack the crows and that type of thing the crows on the owls crows on fairly common for the birds of prey carrying a snake across the street birgit pray carrying a snake or pretty cool actually i saw heron the other day dragging something back to a nest great blue heron inflight whatever it had was trailing behind it by its own length it looked like it might have been you know fragments or something but i guess it was building a nest and i mean you know ganglia great blue heron flight anyway and it's got a it's got a big old branch of some kind hanging out behind it i don't know what they were doing but it but it was kind of cool looking and you see i've seen lot ospreys with fish this year and sticks and that type of thing so anyway we've gone from krypton bigfoot to just regular sightings that are really cool how often are you there at the right place at the right time.

"When you're shopping for a job the same reality is true it has become normal for them to ask you the jobseeker what you think you should make when in reality they're hiring for i don't know a marketing associate ray how much do they value the work of a marketing associate it's on them to fair price with that sort of search me because it puts the onus on a you to tell them what you think your value is and really it should be about what you as if you're marketing associate you want to know what number your company puts the idea that should be on them to tell you and in fact many states agree with you vehemently birgit and that they are outlawing the use of that question there outlying the common practice of employers asking people what their salary history as or what their salary requirements are because of that reason and because by doing so what were actually all doing is perpetuating uh historical wage inequality definitely so that we know that women still get paid less especially moms as we discovered in the mommy tax episode moms get discriminated against tremendously for doing the same work so if we want equal pay for equal work and we're not willing to pass a law that actually mandates that which we should we should and has not happened then at least what we can do is make it harder for people to to perpetuate those unconscious bias he is in those wage inequalities that already persistent already exist ray i have a little bit of anxiety around that the last job that i had thus fulltime job that i had i was making more money that i've ever made in my life was so happy about it and.
