But I just think the fight is more marketable in the sense that Dmitry bivol is for all intents and purposes has disappeared over the last couple of years. Frankly, he's fighting at 11 o'clock in the morning on the east coast from Russia and people aren't seeing his fights and he struggled somewhat and his fight against Craig Richards and fighters often have a tendency to fight up and down to their levels of competition. I'm not saying he's not a better fighter than Craig Richards. He is. But if Canelo Álvarez had struggled with a fighter at the level of Craig Richards, what would they be saying about Canelo Álvarez? They certainly wouldn't be saying that he could beat the best pound for pound fighter in the world. And yesterday, a lot of people were trying to tell me that Dmitry bivol is the toughest of those four fights that have been proposed by both showtime and the zone. I don't see that. I see Canelo beating Dmitry bivalve. I wouldn't say easily, but certainly convincingly. Yeah, I think I'm a little surprised that Canelo has not elected to split the baby. To your point, I believe to zone his own executives are hell bent on making the galata fight happen. And if golovkin faces ryota Murata at some point over the next couple of months and looks great in that fight, which you and I both know he's fully capable of burrata is not very good and is very capable of being knocked out, has been even more inactive than golovkin if you can believe that over the last few years. If he looked great against maratha, suddenly had two pieces of the 160 pound championship, the it wouldn't have regained all the momentum it lost, but it would have regained some of it and made that fight marketable in September. I do think Canelo is over the, I don't want golovkin to get a paycheck part of it. I based that on, before the pandemic hit, there were plans to have Canelo go against Billy Joe Saunders in May and face Gennady Golovkin in September. That was very much in talks, and there was a strong belief on the zone side that he was willing to be in Canelo was willing to do it. So I don't think there's definitely still a lot of personal animosity there. I don't think it's blocking anything from happening and hasn't been the case in some time now. It was early on in my career. Everything's been like every fighters like campaign green. Like i'm waiting for the fighter would be like this and i don't know what's going to happen in this fight. No no that. One off camera was early career and You know just a lot of things you know multiple things that transpired but This camp has been great. It has been phenomenal so you you've been very confident throughout this from the build up to making of the fight to the press conference to here we sit now. I've had a chance in the last couple of years to to call the last six camello fights. I can tell you for being in those spider meetings. Every single one of those opponents has expressed. Billy joe saunders might have been the most confident that i've come up against as far as canelo opponents go. What is it that you believe you can do differently that these other fighters cannot I think i bring a certain skill. Set that you know. Some of these other guys weren't able to bring to the table. You know billy joe saunders though. He was a crafty fighter. He he has skills but One thing that i know for a fact that we can all agree on his mind discipline and my dedication to the sport that not just in this camp because you can just do it for the one big fight but throughout my whole career and through a khalife dedicate myself to my crap and To the sport and When you do when you haven't been doing it and then you ought to do it for the one big fight it doesn't mean as gonna work on your favorite but when when you've been shoot your craft and Discipline dedicated your whole life. "Plants fighting off the back foot trying to jab and move and trying to out maneuver canelo for twelve rounds of this fight. I do think he can have some success in the early rounds doing that. I've seen fighters have success against canelo in the early rounds. Camello take something of a strategic approach to these fights. Everything is building towards something big. Like we kinda saw with that billy joe saunders. I just can't see kayla plant doing that successfully. For twelve rounds i mean. Sergei kovalyov tried to out jab kello in their fight. A couple of years ago had some success bows ultimately knocked out. Billy joe saunders tried to move around a little bit try to be active had some success and then was knocked out feel like we can see kind of a similar path here maybe a destructive one though for kayla plant. Because i don't think. I know he doesn't have the power of a sergei kovalev and he's as skilled. I would say i don't like billy joe saunders i think he's right on billy joe saunders level perhaps in terms of overall boxing skills so i guess when i when i think about past victory for kayla plant is if he's in the best shape he's ever been in can go twelve rounds can move the entirety of that fight and sticking with that jab over and over again other than that. I don't know how he wins. This fight well Kayla plant is a good boxer chris. He's he's skillful boxer. He's a very intelligent fighter. I agree that he's not going to have the power to keep kamilo off of him or the power to affect cannella who has shown nothing short of an iron chin throughout his rise to superstardom kayla. "Do you think this is going to be more complicated than people would hope. It would be well. Complicate is the right word. chris. And that's what i ask that he heard in the post fight press conference. How complicated you expect this to be now. He's not going to say publicly. It's going to be extremely complicated. That would serve probably no purpose for him but he knows as well as anyone does that. It is going to be complicated. I don't think that it's going to be anything. That will prevent the fight from happening. Because caleb plan is simply not going to walk away from this type of payday this type of opportunity because as much as everyone talks about canelo alvarez going for the undisputed super middleweight championship that same opportunity presents itself for caleb plant who could win three titles from canal wild roots and it's an enormous amount of money life changing money so i can't see him walking away from it but i do think that it'll be complicated in the sense that Kayla plant has a lot of leverage here canal. Alvarez made has made no bones about the fact that this is only fight that he wants next when you repeatedly say that publicly you're giving some leverage away to the other side plant and and al hinman and louis cuba stay. No that can nilo needs that. O P News students return to the classrooms. They may not be sitting very far apart thoroughly. CDC guidelines suggest students stay three FT. Apart in classrooms in Alexandria, where five day a week in person learning will be in place in the fall, that may not be possible. Superintendent Dr Gregory Hutchings says some classrooms are too small for that standard. But that doesn't mean schools won't be safe. We will still be able to provide all of the health and safety mitigations. Preseason comes around and i know that There they understand especially with the feedback that they're getting from fans How everyone is it up the bit to get inside legion stadium and really make it the home field that everybody envisioned here in las vegas. That stadium was going to be An and you know we've talked about this ad. How many times sitting the empty stadium in an important parts games and we're all sitting there wondering wow what would it be like if sixty sixty five thousand people were were in this building. I want to get your thoughts on that. But also and Mark between the president of the raiders brought this up as well You know when you think about allegiance stadium As fans they're thinking about getting in there and make it. A great environment for the raiders. Making a difference as we've seen other stadiums difference makers and key parts of the game just because of the atmosphere that creates and all of that is true But when you think about allegiance. Stadium the stadium. This deal this partnership between the nfl. And las vegas and the state of nevada There's financial implications as well and the stadium is expected to be a driving force Here in las vegas and not just for the stadium. And and you know the the sands corporation everyone that has a vested interest in the hospitality. That means people are coming to las vegas Yes obviously the locals are going to be supporting a big time. But throughout the state of nevada throughout the western part of the country and really even nationally people are going to be coming in on weekends for big events and staying up hotels and eating at the restaurants and gambling and drinking and do all those things at pump money into this economy were coming off covert teen And you know everything. All all siser are pointing up as far as getting back on our feet here in las vegas but this place was going to be a strong i of financial influence as it is but even but now coming off covid nineteen and the importance of getting really getting back to two strikes hereafter. He's often down for the lesser ones. But we know. We're going to get the best of billy joe saunders like we did against chris eubank and like we did against david lemieux so i think the best billy joe saunders has certainly has the ability over the course of twelve rounds to call. 'cause i don't know if he's going to be active enough to steal rounds. One thing there are two things that have quotas. I worked against cannella. In recent years there was galop. Power jab google often had has one of the stiffest strongest jabs and all of boxing in that second fight. Cannella one anyone. I thought deservedly. But he took a lot of power. Jasmine galapagos pumping it pumping it and pumping it and keeping at bay a little bit. Then there was the kovolev style kovolev. I don't think was winning the fight when it was knocked out. But he was throwing hundreds of japs he was just flying out there over and over and over again. I think saunders has an effective jab but can he do it with the consistency with the regularity that we saw kovolev could he do with more accuracy because sitting ringside for the kovolev fight.
