2021 NBA Free Agency: Bulls Strike Fast With Deals for Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso

"Thing long term on the bulls. I'm thinking that they might have one free agency yesterday. Because i love the lonzo signing. I love the caruso signing for them. Billy donovan is building a culture. They're the guys that can play with. Zach levine and don't forget they. They added nick which nicola which last last season the deadline the bulls are trying to make the playoffs and much like we've talked about that. The league is better when the knicks are pretty good or good. I still think the same thing from the bull standpoint as well chicago matters so and by the way we've got a couple of things we've got a cup. I mean man. There's a lot of breaking news. Just happening right now. So here's the deal. Woge breaks the story steph. Curry agrees four year. Deal two hundred fifty million dollar contract extension with the warriors so steph curry will remain a warrior for the rest of his career which is fantastic news.

Coby White Scores 21 As Chicago Bulls Rally To Beat Trail Blazers

"Kobe white scores. Twenty one and the bull's rally to beat the blazers won eleven one away. They were down twenty but they came back What's the big takeaway well skates. I only got one thing for you. The polls are hitting me win of the year the first twenty point comeback in the nba. This season i saw some highlights from the clippers versus the spurs. They're talking could they be the first team to pull off a twenty point comeback. No they can't but the bulls did as a crazy game. What a night. In the kirby household bowls blazoned on the deck owl's blazers on deck election results trickling in on the computer a luxurious matchup out there red and black both teams january five going down in history. But this was a weird one. I said the bulls gave up a twenty point. Lead thirty nine point eight three pointers in the first quarter. Blazers look like they on fire. It looked like it was going to be sad. Trey kerby coming in on the show today. But i had the faith skeets i said. Just stick around the comeback bulls. We'll take care of this. And somehow they did a billy donovan has gotten something. Out of zach levine. Feels a little bit different. He was out there over passing the ball in the first half of the game but kept getting teammates involved. This ended up being a really nice team win. The bulls had so many guys in double figures. They ended up with seven players in double figures. Everybody was doing something everybody was bored in. This was a fun game to watch like. I said the balls have this huge comeback being a dagger three under a minute left. I'm upstairs everybody else in the house asleep. I'm just jealous like this back in my arms against each other legendary stuff damian. Lillard basically didn't make a shot in the second half did make the one that was most important knockdown down that three from the right wing. The purest swish. You could ever hope to see if you're damian lillard but this was just was just exciting man. I was going nuts in the

"Look, I I could see him being okay in the league, and I could see him being another Anthony Bennett. The first pick in the draft. Do anything I'm not in love man. I'm people like him a lot more. Publicly than assistant GM send scouts that I've talked to, and I don't like it because I don't like thick waisted guys. Unless you're Zion that's going to go, you know be, you know, jump over the rim and all that kind of stuff. He got he. I think he makes score a little bit early, but he's gonna struggle her say that she shoot well enough to where you get past it. Shoots well enough. He does, um, just you know what? I don't know if you got there's an in maturity about this whole thing that I don't I don't I again I'm trying to elevate my franchise in the more I watched. And kind of studied Wiseman. There's a maturity about him. Now, People say, Well, he only played three games or whatever, in Memphis. That's fine. Doesn't mean you can't evaluate him and in the N C double a thing was Absolutely not his fault. Um, I just think there's an immature it Ito Edwards and I'm not digging. I'm not. There's a maturity otherwise but that I really like it. I think I just think that plays in the NBA man because there's a lot of opportunities in the embassy. Go. Be immature and go be a clown. You know, you got practice in our you sit around all day. If you're a mature man, it don't work, And I just I'm not buying Edwards yet. Did you like the Billy Donovan hiring Danny for the Bulls? Oh, man, I was begging Indiana University to bring him down. So I you were the Pacers to bring him. Yes, Hell, yes. Billy Donovan is a serious basketball dude that understands players. I'll give you a story. Like I know people had a problem with Jimmy Boyle and being two top and that's cool. Billy Donovan When he won his second national championship, I went down and spent some time with billion heat. Was showing me how he's handled jokey Noah and Horford and Green and these guys in terms of injury in terms of we're only going to play. Two minutes Ah, week against other people, Because nobody's getting hurt. We're staying fresh. I always thought since then, that this guy should be coaching in the N B A because he understands player's mentality and players needs. I think you've got a great coach, sir. I think you got a serious coach there. I think if you're gonna win, you obviously need players better players. Kobe White needs to keep going. But I think you get it. From a coaching standpoint, you guys were locked in solid. I think. Any good catching up, buddy, as always, on Dove course. Let Metella thanks you for teaching him everything he knows so good job. I can't believe I could only imagine when you and Lenny is sitting in the backyard drinking bourbon. I can only imagine like this, Lenny. Just all the sudden take off and run through a fence. We go when this is all we got to have a bourbon alright? I am so in on that I may have one right now. Just because sounds good. Sounds good. See you, buddy. Enjoy the draft. Understand? There's Dan dockage it and dockage on Twitter. He really likes Wiseman. And topping Bulls probably are gonna be in a position to draft Wiseman York unless they're trying to move up to two to do that. You like topping two? Maybe that's from a topping. All right. I'm on top of top and have been for a while. 3123323776. That's the number of carbon in your coat. We're coming right back, listening.

NBA Draft Rumor Mill

"Two thousand and twenty. Nba draft rumors whether those trade rumors talking about where we're hearing particular players going. We've talked about all the big names already. We've talked about hard and we talked about chris. Paul we've talked about dennis schroder. We've talked about russell westbrook. We talked about minnesota. We talked about golden state. We talked about charlotte. The bulls are sitting there at four. And it's been really interesting. Dinnie obvious name's been floated about. I've heard from multiple sources that that is sheer speculation because of their general manager. Who's an international guy. And what he did in. Denver has nothing to actually do connected with this pick. La bella ball could be there for chicago. Which would be very interesting in the back court that they currently have there. And i've heard a lot of therese albert. I'm here as well as a culture guy and one of the big things that chicago is focusing on his culture right. Now who do you see taking at ford. They have a guy. I applaud the bulls because they have really done a good job of not telegraphing. What they're doing you know they've been connected to a lot of these guys. They've done an above average job. Relative to when teams are leaky of keeping this close to the best And so it's who they end up with. I think if ball is there he makes tons of sense. That's a nice fit with you guys have and the need for a passer and the fact that there are other scorers on the roster where he's not gonna act like be the only guy who's creating anything that's a pretty nice fit so we'll see if he's there we dug into lamelo earlier so i'm not gonna harp on that fit but let's say he's not there and i think allah is a real option. I agree that some of it is the speculation but he does kinda fit their roster as well and i've heard again obi topping. Who's come up for them. A anthony grants Coach dayton was on billy donovan staff previously thunder. So they're obviously going to be well informed about top into. There's some thought that billy donovan can have some input on what they do here. But it's hard to know exactly what his type of player is is. In oklahoma city you had prestige san prestige Decisions with burst now. So how burton has come up another dark horse. I think for that spot. And i'm still not entirely sure what to make of this but it's patrick williams who i know there's at least some degree real interest there. Would they take him at four. It wouldn't be like totally crazy. At this point. It would be high for him. But i mean maybe that's their secret. They have their sleeve It's really tough for me to predict too but right now my guess would be that if there is no ball. I still lean audio. But i don't think it's like a foregone conclusion. I think people are trying to figure chicago right now. Let's talk about patrick williams because it seems to be a foregone conclusion that everybody thinks detroit's taking him it's of and so now the question is will even be there at seven which you know a few weeks ago probably would have been seen as madness. But i've heard talk that. Atlanta is interested in him. I've heard talk. That cleveland is now interested in him. The most of the talking. Cleveland centers around obi top in and dinnie omnia there. And now you're mentioning chicago at four with patrick williams heck widen on the warriors taking to. Is you know patrick williams is. This is the next upside guy right like after you talk about ball edwards and weisman. I think mini scouts see him the next guy he only averaged nine points a game at florida state but that he has this big big ceiling right that he could that he could fit into as a team. Just as a prospect. Is it possible. He's getting over hyped at this point. Do you really see him. As a player that has the next highest ceiling in this draft after ball edwards. In wiseman i have to admit like. I'm not all the way there with him. I have had him graded as a lottery. Guy for a long time towards the end the college season i was like that guy is gonna go ten to twelve. And that's where i had him now. Yeah i didn't expect this type of leap. I guess we might have predicted it because team sent to be a little bit predictable this time of year. You know the the upside guy always the guy. It's without quite john right now but yeah. I think he's very much an idea. And it's worth re-emphasizing that you know. His his body obviously is really promising in terms of how it will hold up defensively. He's going to be versatile. On that end he will have to get a little bit more agile laterally but his is. The value so young is really helpful. Obviously a big factor. You know being the youngest college player in this draft so between that and then you see flashes were really had a pull up jumper. He's did pretty well from the line. I think there's a pretty good chance. He's an above average three point shooter in now you're talking about well. Hey maybe this is a floor spacing combo forward. You can check out. He'll buck shots. He will play good team. Defense and be switchable. That's a pretty in this draft especially when we're like how do we find like even just like a high level player that case is pretty egypt's let's let's say we take that case for. I mean that's a pretty comparable high and dry or if not better. So i see it what i do it at four. I don't know but i understand why this is happening. And i think there teams that you might wanna come up and get him. And that's probably what the pushing them up. The board as well wants wants everybody found out. Detroit was the floor. Change the conversation. It really does. and there. Is this weird psychological dynamic in the draft. That i love it every year. You know jeremy because this thing takes hold oh you like him at seven now. Maybe we at six like there. Is this conversation that starts to happen with these with these boards. And so you know there's so much data and there's so much scouting that's put into this. But the psychology of the draft is the most fascinating fascinating

How Doris Burke Became An Accidental Pioneer

"We'll. So Dana I can you tell us a little bit about your own relationship with Doris Burke Yeah? I'm Lucky Kavita I. Mean I worked at ESPN for eight years. So Doris was one of the people that I interacted with frequently. I mean we had so much in common with our love for college basketball and we would just chat at games or she shoot me a text. Love that story that you did today you are. You're just you know you did a great job you knocked it out of the park or I would text her. So we've gone back for years and She's just always been the same. That's the coolest thing I can say about Dr is I don't care if she's super popular people are making t-shirts. Drake and all this, and she's still the same that she was when I first met her how would you describe her on air personality and her style in the booth I think what people like about Dr She's She's she's very intelligent and on point about all of her observations, he's got US billy. Donovan says excellent lower body strength and he doesn't reach over. Don't give the official even a window cut the angle. She is not loud. She's not there's no stick to her tough shot contest. Yes. Yes she says something and she really hones in her. She really calls somebody out everyone's Kinda like both. To Me is where Andrew Wiggins has stood in the corners on several possessions. Like steals reporter to. And if you talk to people in the game, they actually say that they they are very respectful of her opinion and they know if she has a problem with something, then there's a problem. We'll Dana you recently wrote a profile on doors for the athletic I. can you tell us a little bit about her background and her early days? She's like a lot of us or at least like me you know kids that grew up just interested in sports. Super. Star Sable. Start Tonight number eleven she moved from Long Island to the Jersey shore to a small town happened to be a park across the street and a basketball hoop and it was like divine intervention right? She hadn't really played a lot of basketball growing up in Long Island. But when she moved, she was young enough that she just that's where she went and there was never a sense of Oh Doris girls don't play sports. It was just whatever you're busy go outside and play sable from outside. and. So she just became a really good ballplayer where really good basketball players are often developed, which is on the playgrounds took all comers boys girls didn't care. The BUZZER GUARD SABLE Head. And grew into a good enough. Basketball players to get a scholarship to providence. We forget that that was a really big deal for young women. Athletes are just weren't a lot of them. That wasn't normal and she recognize it immediately as what it was. It was a ticket for her to get to college and pay for college and established herself in a career. She wasn't there was no WNBA obviously, she knew that this was the path for her future in her life and she just kinda followed it along. Well, she definitely likes to make fun of herself when talking about in her plane, I had it all going on bad hair bad teeth bad clothes, and the only thing I care about whether my jump shot would ever Mack my triple driveability. She does she downplays herself. She doesn't think she wasn't. You know whatever she wasn't the greatest player. You know she was more of a thoughtful player than a an athletic player that sort of thing. Yeah. I mean she's very self deprecating even about her broadcasting career, which is just hilarious. But again, that's what makes Dr. Stars is that she doesn't take herself too seriously. How did she get her start in broadcasting accidentally which I think I can relate that myself but in her circumstance she was coach she went back to providence to be a coach but then she got married and she got to look around. You know this was back when there weren't a lot of. MOMS that were coaches, you know a lot of coaches, maybe one or the other they couldn't do both and she really thought I want to start a family. So she stepped away from coaching and by Dumb luck at the same time Providence decided you know what? We could put a couple of women's basketball games on the radio and we need somebody to do the radio for us and Ella Dar's. You're sitting there. Why don't you do this and she did and she jokes pie five people are listening you probably honestly not wrong. Let's be honest providence women's basketball and some regional network probably not like drawing huge numbers but she loved it and it was easy and it was comfortable and that just sort of Begat one opportunity after another and an big break came because one of the men's basketball. Analyst for the Big East Games couldn't make it into a providence men's game and they were desperate and that she tells us hilarious story was at the emergency room with her son. He had fallen off the weight bunch cut his head open blood everywhere. She's GONNA to bloody shirt and they told her to come down and do play by play and she said, well, I can't play by play but I'll do the color and boom she's on TV and there she. Is I mean no intent to climb some corporate ladder it just sort of opportunity presented itself and she took it.

"Oh, damn. We got Billy Donovan's on. Nice coach, I swear. Just came out. Yeah. Well, I'll be good. Up from goods and again. Billy Donovan was the coach for okay. See used to coach at Florida. This is after hours with Amy Lawrence. Zach Levine. This is 2020 where you find out who your next head coach will be. And then you share it with everyone while your gaming on Facebook. Okay, I'll just be honest. I am not cool. That's not a big secret. But producer Dave I didn't know you could Facebook game or game on Facebook or whatever. Neither did I. Until I stumbled across this video that someone put on Twitter. And you know what kind of game on Facebook? He was playing like a first person like shooting game or something, And he's sitting in this house somewhere. And like his dinner, living room, you see him in his chair and all of a sudden you look, any pics of his phone is like No. Yeah, No, he said Dam was trying to avoid them, but oh, it's fine. He's like, Oh, yeah, we got Billy Donovan. And then he's talking to someone who clearly didn't exactly know. Billy Donovan was like a friend or someone was in the You know, Facebook gaming. So I had to explain. Like who he was The coach of and where he you know was coming from SOS, but Facebook gaming? Yeah. Hadn't I'd never heard of this before. I actually thought that the younger generation so my nieces, for instance, they don't think Facebook is cool and they're both on Facebook. I think they have a count only because that's how they connected with roommates for college, but they both think Facebook is for old people. Yeah, my Children tell me that you don't use Facebook for the old Zach Lavine doing I don't know. I guess they're trying to get back into the younger crowd with with them Gaming. Okay, So that was Zach Levine in the moment, reacting to Billy Donovan, who, of course, parted ways. After his contract ran out in Oklahoma City. They decided not to renew the deal, And at the time there was talk that he would be looking for a different type of a gig. Now, interestingly enough, The talk was that he left, Okay. See he didn't want to be involved in a rebuilding project. But Chicago Bulls are a very young team, and I think I would. I would classify them as a rebuilding project. Maybe a little farther along than OK. See, but they're definitely rebuilding s. Oh, that That was kind of interesting to hear Levin's reaction. I think if you're a young player, you're pretty happy with Billy Donovan. He's got credibility. He's got equity, not just in college, where he won titles. But also with Oklahoma City and what he did, even in the wake of the defections they had over the last few years with Kevin Durant on then with Paul George, and then soon on his heels. Russell Westbrook it's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio, Rick Pitino was a guest on Sirius X M N ba radio kind of funny. This is the other end of the spectrum potato coach Billy Donovan when they were at Providence. I've never been able to find a fault with Billy Donovan and I confined plenty of faults in myself as well as my other assistant. He's the only person that coach and that is worth for me. I've never been able to find a fault. Tireless work of a great guy. You will never find Billy Donovan after a loss ever say anything negative about a player. We will just talk about the team. Just talk about the concepts of what they have to do better, but he will never knock. An individual and in today's n ba world that's necessary. You wantto have harmony. Great chemistry. Great chemistry I've always said is when love and discipline come together. And that's exactly what Billy Donovan's all about. Great teacher, Great communicator. Great motivator, but it's not about Billy Donovan. It's about the team the last person to get credit. In this world will take credit. Billy Donovan. He will never take any credit at all. Hope it works in Chicago because AH Bulls franchise that's irrelevant is not great for the N B. A. It's obviously got a rich tradition and a great fan base and I really would like to see them get back to the point at which their relative but they they've made some Poor coaching hires reminds me a little bit of the the revolving door that Cleveland went through kept hiring all these guys that had never been head coaches before had very little head coaching experience and thinking that they were going to rewrite, rewrite the book and I say, go with the guy who has experience, especially when you're trying to pull your team out of the doldrums. It's after hours on CBS Sports Radio just wanted to share that little insight about Billy Donovan. He's it takes over as the head coach of the Bulls. We are. Let's say we're talking young stud NFL cubes, and I love the variety of answers. So that's been something that I've really enjoyed seeing.

"Fools went big game hunting. You got a new front office. They've got a new head coach now, Billy Donovan. I have not been this excited about Bulls basketball since Tom Thibodeau was here, and when fifth got hired. We knew they got one of the best assistance in the game. We had no idea what he'd be successful. We're talking about a guy in Billy Donovan gets votes for Coach of the year won national championships in Florida and is well liked. By the agent. Community Well liked by the player community is great as a relationship guy on by the way, he flat out, coach so That is a home run higher. Good morning, buddy. When we heard that newsbreak yesterday, Ana won't bomb We've been screaming it we got into it with Carmen body will talk to him across. That was an awesome awesome day to be a bull's eye. My friend and overjoyed by the choice of Billy John Donovan is a head coach. It's the most excited. I've been about a higher in a long time in Chicago. And one of the reasons why I'm excited is because it's not the bull's going to the bottom shelf. It's that the bull's going to the middle of the shelf. They went to the top shelf. And looked for the guy that is available. The best coach available was Billy Donovan, and they got him and you take a look at all the other jobs that were available. Billy Donovan could have said Okay, pacers. What do you have after firing McMillan? Okay, Brooklyn. What do you have? Houston. What do you have, but, you know, he could have went back to college, and they usually pro coaches really not go back to college. So what? Billy Donovan. He looked at an opportunity and said, I'm going to coach for the Chicago Bulls. I'm going to be able to do something that I haven't done before, and that's really work with a really, really young team and build it. I want to make sure it's up front that we say this Yes, I'm very excited that the Bulls have Billy Donovan. I'm not guaranteeing any championships because Billy Donovan's here, but I also will tell you this cap. This is the most difficult job Billy Donovan's had in a while. Oklahoma City was talent laden. You saw his team's at Florida mean a master recruiter to be able to get a natural championships and a lot of acclaim. Their but this job is difficult. Because you don't know what the roster is in a couple of years doesn't mean that he can't flourish in it. I'm just saying that because of the state of the Bulls This is gonna be hard for him, but I believe that he'll find a way to be able to get this team in a position to win. Everywhere He's been he's won. He could do it here in Chicago. He just they have to get in players. You I've used this metaphor before you've never seen the jockey carried the horse across the finish line you could put Whoever you want. Laffite pinkeye, Willie Shoemaker Steve Coffee. I'll give you any of the great jockeys. They all had great great horses that they rode across the finish line, so Billy can be as good as he is. You better get some more talent in here. But it does tell you that maybe Just maybe he believes in the corps. That's already here. More than some of the analysts around the league. I believe that if this is John Paxson or Gar Forman in this position we're talking about Jim Boylan still being the head coach. Or someone else that has no experience. It's not about how much you pay the coaches from out where you are as a franchise, you are Chicago. You should be always looking at the top shelf to get the very best. It goes back to all Star weekend last time that I was actually out out out, Okay, this is in February, and of course, the pandemic happened in March. The last time that I was out on the town was during all Star weekend, everybody from all over the country here for an N B. A All Star weekend. It gave us a Chicagoans pride that the whole end a universe was on the West side and all over the city, by the way. And the conversations that I would have with people outside of this city that would come here. You think they would tell about the Chicago Bulls? You know they were talking about market Dwyer. They were talking about the Paul They were talking about some of the great Chicago basketball players. There was no buzz about the Chicago Bulls. Correct. If you're Michael Ryan's Dorf, I've always said this Michael Reinsdorf and your net meeting with all these other owners. Yeah, you got you got all this money and you've got generational wealth. And look how crowded the United Center is its full every night. No matter how bad the bulls are, it's an attraction, right? But you know, in the back of your mind, even though you've got money, and you've got wealth and your family saying care of the thing that's missing when the Warriors look at you when Mark human looks at you You're in that room. You're saying? Yeah, I got a lot of money. But where's your championships? That's it If that's how I would feel if I'm walking in that room and find Michael rise riff like yes, you know. Welcome to Chicago, the nineties I was a little kid, and they look at you and say, Boy, you're making a lot of money, but Where is your success? Correct. Your success has to be more than just financial. Where's your success? When.

Chicago Bulls hire Billy Donovan as coach to replace Jim Boylen

"On Billy Donovan becoming the new coach in Chicago to 43 1 57 as the head of coach of the Thunder. We know what he did at Florida. He's gotta rebuilding job here, though, in Chicago. He does that mean the Bulls hired Donovan to be their new head coach Yesterday. The 55 year old Donovan was a hot commodity bad after leaving, Okay. See a few weeks ago, supposedly numerous MBA tried to hire him. And who wouldn't want to hire a baby? He was coach of the year this past season. He was co coach of the year with Budenholzer from the box. But Chicago details they missed playoff missed the playoffs for the past five seasons. But Donovan, I gotta tell you he's walking into some pretty good young talent with the Bulls exact was mean about well. Murray's A great young point exactly, means another one that I could score 30. It is asleep right now. They also have Laurie Morgan, so I think it's a good It's a good move for Donovan is definitely good move in Chicago.

"And he did. So So my question now is we're just Billy Donovan Wind up. If I'm Philadelphia, recruiting him hard. I know Tyler won a championship. I rather have Billy Donovan and Tyler. That's nothing against Tyler. I think I lose a good coach. But and, you know, has a lot of respectable lied to, But I would rather have Billy Donovan over Tyler. So on the sixes, I make that push. Milwaukee fires Budenholzer Do you see a situation where Donovan goes there? If I'm Billy. I'm not going there unless it be honest Answer. Campo is signing that Supermax because then what happens if he doesn't sign the Supermax extension and then bolts? You're back in a similar situation that you had an okay. See where you lost your start. You know another team that you consider How about the pelicans? You're Billy Donovan. And you know how to develop young talent, and we know how great of a player Zion Williams, it has the potential to bay. Would you want to go to the pelicans and team up with Zion will in Sin and Brandon Ingram? That would be that would be an attractive job to make. If the Bulls come calling. Maybe there's an appeal to turn around Chicago. I would not join Chicago. I would not. Even though they brought in the man I used to run the Denver Nuggets. I would not trust Chicago, that team. They have a lot of work to do. So if you're leaving the thunder Which Just cause they had a good season this year doesn't mean they're going to be good next year. I would look for either the Sixers job. Or I would look for The pelicans job, Those who were the two jobs that you're targeting, or maybe But the right job is not available. Maybe takes a year off. Now. I don't think he's going back to college. I don't I don't see why he would go back to college because ah, coach of Billy Donovan stature He's only taken a major college job. What's the major college job that is available? If he takes a year off. Is something open up next year. Potentially the N B a R in college. And maybe does TV for a year because you have to think you'd probably be very good on TV. Billy Donovan. But those two jobs I'm looking at six years. And then the pelicans and something. And if Johannes stays with the box, then you obviously consort of the box. If that job opens up, something tells me though he knows what his next move is. If you're leaving A job. You don't necessarily have to know what you're doing in that next job. But you would like to think that he has a good idea or a good read on the two jobs that he is. He's in the potential of potentially have in there. And we know the Nets is already off the table. Because they hired Steve Nash. The Knicks are already off the table, too, because they brought in Tom Thibodeau. So that's where you sit with Billy Donovan. And when we get to Billy Donovan still, even with how good of a coach he's been in the MBA, I still think of Billy Donovan as a college coach. And what he was able to do at Florida. Khanna Green. Did you see today? This proposal that I guess was spearheaded by Mike Chefs Key that for this upcoming NC double a tournament. They may invite every division one program to participate in the tournament. That's that's absolutely bonkers to me. What was the first reaction when you saw that? I just don't know what they're thinking. I guess they're trying to recoup some of the losses from having to cancel it this year, but the idea that you're going to have all of those teams every single division one team in the tournament. What's the point hasn't a regular season. It's basically exhibition play until you get to the tournament. Yeah, you're exactly right, because why have a regular season? If you're just going to allow everyone in and everyone gets a participate? Participation trophy? Why do it And logistics wise, It would be an absolute nightmare. Now it's 300 something teams. You're not gonna be able to play it all in one city. So you're gonna have them spread out across many cities, and we're like, for example, we're going to travel Fordham. Fordham's gonna have to travel and still not known where the world is in this pandemic. And we're gonna have Fordham go to get their butts kicked by, like Duke. I don't imagine this like we always like the upset. Remember you. NBC taking down Virginia had that Loyola Chicago team a few years ago. Go on that legendary run Those air fun upsets the like. If let's just say in some crazy world as we're living in a crazy world right now, Fordham takes down. I don't know. Michigan State in the first round. Justcause, Michigan State didn't show up and they were sleeping on the What the 360 a CIA. I don't even know if they would, if it would go like that, maybe have all the bad teams do playing games to decide Then who's going to be the best of the worst? So I don't know what the exact format is. But let's just say something funky happens where you get one of those really bad teams that has no business being there, and they just show up one night and they take down one of the better teams in the country. There's no chance they're winning. And going on one of those runs like Loyola Chicago Because there's too many teams. There's too many dominoes to take down and you know, Jon Rothstein joined me a few weeks ago. It was actually when the draft lottery was revealed, and he said he guarantees they're going to the tournament this year, he said, Guaranteed and I love John. And John's been very kind to me in my career, but I even pushed back on and I go. How do we know that right now? And he talked about all the financial and the finances part of this, So I get that I get the idea of having a tournament. To invite, though Every single team. It's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Cause you have a system right now. That is 100% perfect. So Maybe a modified a little bit, and you include a few more teams this year. To include every team across the vision one Come on..

"There is less difference between Nik Stauskas and Tyler hero. I think than one would generally believe part of it is that he is a better ball-handler which you know, you can go back and like I said watch High School tape of Tyler hero and see see it now and you're like, oh, yeah, like I get it where this is coming from but you don't necessarily know how it's going to translate to good old hindsight goggles. Yeah, like you don't necessarily know that's going to translate the big thing. That's a difference between Nik Stauskas Tyler hero is just the irrational confidence that Tyler has right like that guy never doesn't believe in myself. Let me let me let me posit something else. Maybe the biggest difference is Miami and Sacramento. Yeah. I think that that's true too. But like part of it is it's also a chicken in the egg thing like did Sacramento just not do a good enough job of evaluating Nik Stauskas is Nik Stauskas this mindset. Did they think that like did other teams may be dead? If that he would lose confidence a little bit earlier, whereas with Miami they evaluated Tyler hero in knew that he was like a hyper confident human being because like he was like that was that's something that I knew coming into this right is that Tower hero was always gonna have the confidence and never back down right? I'm always a little skeptical of that sort of thing after the fact cuz there's no way if you think about you go back. Oh, he's so confident. He can't possibly and then three years later whatever happened to you know, so I think it's there. There's there's such a there's such a Survivor bias in terms of the times we made that particular type of call right that I am like, you know, like contains..

"That many minutes in the playoffs even a first-round pick is a credit. I think to Billy Donovan the fact that there is Baisley was good this year and was way more playable than what anyone thought he would be coming into the year. I think is a credit either coaching staff and Billy Donovan. So there are situations out there where I'm like, yeah, like these teams should really strongly look at Billy Donovan. I just Think it's very difficult to try and parse through all of the aspects that go into coaching right now across the NBA because so many of them not visible. Yeah. They're like, there are are coaches who I haven't liked what they've done who had pretty good results and it's it's so always like I've never really, you know, enjoy Nate McMillan teams. "This is the zone back. Welcome back to the zone. Jamie Morris, Matt Leach, and you know, what we talk about. Well, you know, coach be line has decided to move on. God bless them. Hope he hope he does. Well, but we hate we got speculate. Now talk about. Future coaches, somebody gotta fill it. Well, hey, we can't we can't languish in in too much pity world. You know what I'm saying? Listen, it's happening. April Fools joke that we thought it was this one we woke up, so it's happening. So what are we gonna do? Jay MO no, we got a new coach got to look for new coach somebody who. I mean, the guy a lot of people put out there. I mean, somebody Billy Donovan. Is that too much of a stretch? Billy Donovan coaching for the Oklahoma thunder right now. Think Billy Donovan wants to leave the NBA. That's that's going to be my argument against any guide coming from the NBA is that I would imagine Billy Donovan hasn't gotten run out of Oklahoma City. I would imagine that there would be other NBA upper -tunities for a guy like Billy Donovan, but he loved Florida. He was very success with Florida. He was a great college basketball coach, but he turned the NBA down once because if you remember he accepted, the Orlando job. And then the next day flip back, which I'm still kind of hoping that coach, but it ain't going to have any Trump that that that national championship ball? So, you know, he he'd flip flop purity went back to college one time, and then still eventually made the transition to the NBA. So if I had to guess, I think at this point there would still be other opportunities. And I don't think that in. Of course, I don't know Billy Donovan just my best educated. Guess sitting here in the studio is that I don't think that he would want to come back to the college games unless he didn't have a choice unless there wasn't other NBA head coaching jobs because if you look at Jamie, a lot of head coaches if they end up losing their head coaching position and up as an assistant coach somewhere else until another opportunity comes up. No. And that's a great point. But Billy Donovan gone sour on. Maybe wessel. Russell Westbrook's antics. I mean, look it's very Premadasa best basketball league in the NBA. Sometimes you heart coaches hearken back to playing team basketball, which is easier, Jamie. I just dealing with the premadonna millionaire or with the eighteen year old. Wow. Great point. That's the million dollar question. 'cause you know, those eighteen year olds you never know what they're going to do. No, no. But the kids got to listen to you because he's eighteen y eight because you hold you hold his his opportunity in your hands until he until he jumps to the league over them next, six months. That's the case where you you. Don't do me. Right. I'm hopping ship. I'm heading someplace else where they'll they'll take advantage of my talents. That's what I'm saying. Came said, the players have a lot more strength. They have a lot more power than they used to in the college game. In that is one thing that's very tough for these college coaches to deal with. But you know, I'm thinking about you know, because Tim brought up the point. It's it's a very different coaching style. When you're having to coach people who again, these guys make they all typically make more money than you do. They're all at a higher celebrities that you know, there are so many it's a very different coaching MBA players then coaching with kids with which one is tougher. It's hard to it's hard to say. Well, and as you know, over eighteen year olds seventeen year old is a little more nervous about being in his surroundings in different things like that you have a little bit more control of that guy. I'm saying millionaire, a Russell Westbrook. A somebody like that. Do that make I make more money to you need to get out my face. That's what you get and. Yeah. But it depends on how the coaches received how they take it. You know, some guys understand the league that they're in. They know that it's a player driven league that it's driven by those guys. So you, you know, how to talk to them as opposed to disciplining them more disciplined in college basketball, aka what John had to do each and every season with his with his players whenever whatever level he coached at now. It's more of we're gonna talk to one another. We're almost equals. I'm just the head coach. But if you listen to me, we need we can win this. We can win this game. Gotta get everybody to buy into it more buying into. Whereas I'm the coach this is what I run trust me. It's going to work. That's why you came here. You've already sold that kid in college. In pros. You gotta sell it each and every time that's why I don't think it's gonna work in LA Frank Vogel. Not when the broad to say, it's different exposed to run with the run. Why can't Frank Vogel? And you've got Jake kid former NBA coach because he has these it is because he got the vote of confidence from Pat Riley who Librado respected. So that's why Expos Jim got respect from LeBron again. We'll see, but I don't know. Let but we're not talking about that. I'm sorry. Let's move onto a next coach coach. They we talked about Brad Stevens the opportunity for Brad Stevens Chris beard. You've got you've brought up Chris beard from Texas Tech. Why would that mean when leave after he signed a huge contract because would he make as much as he made here, we all have to check and look at it. But it was a lot. A he signed a huge contract. I don't know what he got. I don't know his contract. But that's why everybody brought him up and I'm like, wait a minute. Didn't he just sign a huge contract and Texas and everybody compares, okay? Ann Arbor is a better place in love it or wherever they're out of like, well, maybe not maybe to us. But as it to him. You again, we would have to look at it. I don't know much. You know, Texas Tech brought in Bobby Knight years back. They brought in guys like I'm just saying they're willing to spend money. They're willing to invest in their basketball program or a lot of people will say, oh, it's a school in Texas. So Texas Tech they care about football. They're not gonna invest as much in their basketball program. This day six year extension that pays him nearly five million a year. I'm just you're right. So he would be making more money if he stayed if he stayed there. I think another argument that people would make is that what he was able to do with Texas Tech was more of an anomaly because it's been obviously, the first time Texas Tech is ever made it that far. It was a record breaking year in a lot of year in a lot of ways. But that it was more of an anomaly where he'd have a better opportunity to do that year in and year out at a place like the university of Michigan or does he want to build a legacy at Texas Tech? I'd be the pioneer, right? That's what I'm saying. They have the coach from Florida who we faced Mike white. Who would make significantly much more money based on what coach beeline was making Michigan absolutely pay him more than two point six. He's making right now. Good h he's forty two his track record isn't very long. Any has any has no Michigan ties? So I mean, are you looking for guys with Michigan ties? Are you not? I mean, are you looking? I mean, if you look at Michigan ties city. No, we had Bill Martin as we. Yeah. So I understand that sentiment too. Because it does seem like it makes sense in a lot of ways. But coach Bela didn't have any Michigan ties. And you're telling me that that guy's not a Michigan, man. All I'm saying to you is he has no Michigan ties. I it's not look any coach you can look at you could say that they hate they didn't go to Michigan. So they don't have any Michigan dies. So I mean, okay, that's fine. But usually guys have been Boashan Boeckler -ffiliated shows, I named coaches Carol had. No Michigan dies. Okay. I'm just giving you coaches that have been successful bent plucky. I mean, the list goes on like you said, I mean, you've named some of our most legendary names up there. And there are other ones that do have Michigan ties. So you know, there's not one right answer. But this is you know, again, Mike, wait. He's he's interesting for a few reasons like you said he doesn't have any Michigan connections. And also he doesn't have that long of a track record. This was his third season. I believe Florida. Think they made it to Sweet Sixteen or elite eight I think they've made the tournament all three years. He's been there. Three times he's gotten to the Gutna Gators to the NCAA three times, including in an elite eight in two thousand seventeen and most importantly, he's a great recruiter. That's what they say. He's a recruiter, and that's the lifeline of college basketball recruiting flame college athletics in general just say, so this guy, I mean, he may not have any time. But and he's got the here's what he has ties with athletes down south. I hear the make them pretty good. I heard. I have a familiar name for you Lavalle Jordan at Butler. I mean, a former coach a former assistant coach here who went onto Green Bay, Wisconsin or Wisconsin Green Bay excuse me. I said it backwards. And who went back to his alma mater at Butler, and he's currently coaching there. And I mean, this is the guy that everybody says was when he was here on the staff anything happened to John beeline. He was the replacement. He was the one guy that everybody pointed at that is could be this could be the next head coach Michigan. Yeah. And I think if he was still here that I think a lot of people would feel more confident in keeping an inside higher. And maybe that he would be kinda that air that heir-apparent. But Jamie, do you think that he's done like like Tim said, this is going to be a very attractive coaching job for NBA coaches for college coaches all around the country. Do you think Lavelle Jordan has done enough to warrant this job? I almost acquainted to Jim Harbaugh. The first time before Brady Hoke was hired. We're right after we left. The rich rod where Jim Harbaugh was starting to make a name for himself at another school, but he hadn't necessarily done enough at San Diego, or you know, at some of these smaller schools, do you think Lavelle has done enough to born in this job? Yeah. I do. I actually think he does. He's got a good track. Record his players. Love him. They play hard for him from when I saw the Butler team. They played they play hard for him. I think he did. He did it admirable job at at at Wisconsin Green Bay. And he's a familiar face that we know. And I know how he recruits because I saw the players that he helped bring here..

A second Portland has grown Lee back the ten with six run seventy to sixty two to thirty seven left of the period. Thunderball out of the timeout Westbrook. No, call Westbrook's hot still by the laser Westbrook, dives and undercuts Lillard blue wall. Miller's lift hit the floor. Hard Westbrook out of frustration was trying to steal it back and undercut dangerously the Lillard and one zero follows another. Who is the peacemaker back in the first half as the thermostat? On the rise. That's why Billy Gunn visit half court with Zach Zarb is sticking up for his guy. If Billy Donovan doesn't do that. Russell stays there. And does it himself. It's very good subtle coaching move by Billy Donovan right there. Westbrook to the bachelor one fifty left in the third one hand passed the right wing curry floated off the rights of the try to Bank. Good woes. Does is it almost came up with his own rebound cleared, though, by KC, George pauses with the dribble McCoy left. So Morris the life PJ take us into the brains of Terry Stotts and Billy Donovan right now with the latest game is playing out one team able to hold the other off. I'll tell you what. Sometimes when I'm sitting where Terry Stotts was Damian Lillard just uncorked about thirty four hundred front rims. I was Terry expend so much energy trying to hold them off. Sometimes you'd say catch you wouldn't say the team, but you hope they catch up he'd just kind of take a deep breath, but Portland hasn't done that as underneath and a punch through the rim for airlines. That's. A second chance bucket after Schreuder track down his own miss of the free throw line. Okay. See hasn't. Let's was four three. They keep coming at him coming out of Portland. It's turnover number five for Portland this quarter third. The blazers will walk along way or the other end of the floor and have bonus free throws for all through comedic. You know, I was just gonna say Paul George wanted to burp up three off the rebound had a chance to get a two for one. Now, Portland has created a two for one because it had filed thirty one seconds remaining here in the third quarter. "He's done his third straight year of doing twenty twenty twenty is absolutely just crazy to me. I mean, look at this. And also what allows this to happen is not only his versatility athleticism his smarts feet nece teammates. But is hustle might that get so much overlooked in this dynamic of how he plays like that play on words. I did because he obviously dedicated this triple this amazing twenty twenty two triple double to nipsy hustle who he paid tribute to before the game. So Jalen I watched this game. And there's something I noticed that just want to get your take on. It's very important to me at the end of the game. They had it in hand. Billy Donovan wants to take him out. Right. He shakes off Billy Donovan says I'm staying in the game. Right. So he he shakes off. I'll stay in the game. Then we have Steven Adams at the line misses. First free throw. Russell Westbrook goes in to get the rebounds. He wasn't. He wasn't half court for the first shot and then got three bumpers nineteenth rebound and then sealed the twenty rebounds on the next play. Just him waving Billy Donovan does him going from half court into the lane for the second shot. Does that somewhat take a little bit away from the like the organic twenty twenty twenty it doesn't because when we look back at it? It's going to only be numbers, but the emotion is going to still stand. And when you look at an elite player has been a MVP and his league, and he has firing his ass and he has smoke coming out of his nose out of his ears. You leave him in the game. And you know, his plan for something bigger than himself. Doug Collins, one of my mentors that worked at his network that do terrific job coaching in the NBA wants taught me some about coaching, Michael Jordan. He was like you never try to harness. Thoroughbred. You let them run fast as they can as long as they can go. And in Russell's case, I'm glad Billy Donovan allow him to do. So also, and this I think also like the nipsy hustle angle is like he kind of did wanted to do something for him in the second that he likes solidified it the game's over you screens that was for nipsy. This one quick note about this game. Russell Westbrook's dad was there. His dad looks like he could put up some numbers to. If I could cover his dad man that guy's got some game moving on some related. The Spurs beat the hawks last night. Now, you expect the Spurs to beat the hawks, but it's important significantly because of the thunder win right now, there's something very important going on the Western Conference. It is the race. Not to play the warriors in the playoffs. The warriors had the number one seed as we covered. And then you've got these Spurs thunder both tied for the seven spot. One of these teams is gonna go quickly out the first round in my opinion. And one of these teams is going to go to Denver and have a much better shot. How important is it for these teams to secure the seven spot extremely if you wanna get out of the first round. And when you look at the Denver Nuggets, they're young collection of players that just haven't had playoff glory together. They're going to go into it for the first time the two teams you just talked about our seat..

"Billy Donovan wanted to see was defense not doing that. Very well. Bitter, and they're getting beat on the will there or at least not cashing. They've got five offense aboard that's a pretty decent number, but the only four points to account for that is Russell makes the first Houston on the other hand only four offense boards, but they have eight points, and then the three point line nine threes. Two three get out scored by eighteen points at the three point line right now facing Westbrook sixfold free throws at the line to the left six and a half to go on the first step nine thirty eight Houston lead in the ball ardent against George into the front court. They've combined for twenty nine points in this game. Martin outside the arc near midcourt angles off to the left behind at Tucker screening is focusing on the switch tend to shoot drooling between the lengths sizing him up. Step back straight away. I mean, you act like it's no big deal. Harsh spreadable. You just say step back three from about twenty eight feet. Good easy seventeen so far out Westbrook, penetrates pitches, like Patterson open three, no good, Tucker. Snares the rebound. Here comes Gordon sideline. Right. Pull up right wing three front rim short. And it's one down in the corner by Farid out, the shopper touch passing side, the Tucker lost it off script by Westbrook. And comes Russell across the timeline. Westbrook left lane pulls up ten voter tried to use it last missed it all comes Houston. Harden, crossover on George drives to the foul line. Takes the contact stumbling towards the rim flips it up but a foul on George his first and Arden with two shots coming when the guy is just impossible to stay in front. I.

"There's the F B I investigation. There's the alleged knowing that there was one hundred thousand dollars paid to a recruit through Adidas all that stuff. Right. Still by the way in the midst of that FBI investigation, which is not close, right? He shows up in my living room and says I want your kid to play for me. I'm like there is no first of all you. We'll get into have you ever heard Patino talk about this stuff recently like after it's all been while he's coaching in the middle of the Greek islands somewhere. Right because nobody will touch him. He what he claims and he's convincing when you hear him. Tell it is that you know, he's he's clink. He's coach, I know nothing. He's coached at three different schools in two different NBA teams got two of them. Trouble. Got he got UMass and Louisville. No, you're thinking. Well, he didn't get you mess. Sorry. But in cal- parties, another guy that gets people Trump and he's the head coach at Kentucky. I would take part at UCLA. If I if I could get them. There's nothing as agreed GIS in column Perry's background as there is in Pacino's what Patino claims, and again, I'm I you can decide whether or not he's telling the truth. But what his story is is that he. He mentored hundreds of players, and assistant coaches over the years, and he has to live with the fact that two of these coaches that he hired completely ignored the rules. For example, a coach UCLA would love to get is Billy Donovan the head coach of the thunder. Yeah. Billy Donovan played for Patino at providence. Sure was an assistant coach with him there. Right. Was an assistant coach with him at Kentucky. Gotta head coaching job at Florida and Patino and Donovan are super tight and Donovan swears by him, by the way callapollo Donovan in a second. What's that Donovan in the second mentors Rick Pitino? But but he hasn't lived the same life the Rick Pitino did. So Pacino's point is look if you if you trust me to mentor, Billy Donovan and turn him into the coach's become why wouldn't you trust kid? Okay. So there's famous line. And I don't know who sent it. And I'm probably paraphrasing success comes and goes, but integrity is forever. I think that integrity is almost nonexistent in collegiate a mind. You can't be cynical. Well, wait a minute. You can't be that joy to what program. Do you? Think is not cheating at all. There's a difference between a recruiting violation. Like I made too many phone calls during the off season two recruits. I made one too many calls or I interacted with somebody into there's there's a difference between secondary violations which happened in every program and funneling one hundred thousand dollars in cash to a particular who you think you're listening to Caspian, Los Angeles other schools us girls and sex to help get recruits. I don't think they use hookers. If they like what most there was a difference between those that that kind of hostess situation, what do they call that? Well, the they're different names that every different names for school. Right. But but co EDS they this is your host for the weekend for the weekend. And she oh, my the way might hook up with were grabbing the girl from the screaming from the escort from this screaming cheetah commend to the dorm to do to do lap dances. There's a difference between those two things. Do you not see that? There's a difference, by the way, the screaming cheetah. Yeah. In louisville. Underrated Asti tastic the. Wait a minute. Somebody. So literally somebody just suggested I'm pretty sure I'm going to make sure before I call him out on it a coach who is dead. No. Double check. The that is what I'll tell you. Another thing. I am. Here's the thing about doing. So so I was very excited last night and loved the halftime show with imagine dragons and low way okay now, they are getting destroyed on Twitter and social media didn't hear it. But I we had it on we had one of the TV's at the game on and they all these people were enjoying reading articles about how bad imagine dragons is. And there are terrible band. And they're the scourge of rock and roll. I'm just pulling up headlines now, the scourge of rock and roll college football, so many jokes for imagine dragons halftime show. I thought I was a great show..

"And then, you know, Steve Alford with a stupid nineteen Eighty-four haircut. And whatever comes in and runs the program into a ditch. See this is what? A detachment Ramona made a very good point. Yes, it is about the California's in the coach K's, and you know, all those types of guys if you bring in the right coach to UCLA UCLA is enough of a blue blood enough of a team that has a school that has enough that if you bring in a coach like a nose probably not going to happen. But Billy Donovan if something happens with okay, see, and they just fall apart and Billy Donovan doesn't he's his contract has got picked up for next year. But if something happens they fall apart they go out on the floor. They fired him you bring in Billy Donovan, the UCLA program result shoots up. It's only half. I'm telling you. It's only half of because Calabar is relevant. California gets these six guys who are one and done ceiling gets you realize that Steve Alford, despite how terribly was he had three top five recruiting classes. But he's going to go. Recruits itself of them. No, it doesn't. None of those guys are Zion. Williamson the where you talk about it wherever the I know I know the names of three calls on the east coast. No, I'm here. I know the names of three college basketball players you like, that's it. That's all it's all I know. And they all play for Duke because they're all the one and done guys who are going to be out of. I don't know great. You got a great recruiting class. But they're not the people that anybody talk about nationally, the they're not the Cantanzaro ball was one of those guys that was one of them and Lonzo did UCLA really recruit, Lonzo it'd Lonzo just decide to go to UCLA. It's very possible. But that's what that will Elke that would go against your point. Then UCLA recruits itself he wanted to go to UCLA because of what it does we're wanting to. The Laura wanted him to be close and all that he wanted him there at UCLA because usually gets guys into the NBA. And that's where the guys stick advantage over. When Ben Howland was here. There was an you cannot even deny this. There was a bend Howland system behind it where if like, oh, he's been Jalan player. So he's going to be good in the NBA. And look what happened knows candidate. Because they actually what the the knock on. Holland was is that he doesn't show people. How good they were going to be by the time. They got to the NBA he's playing defense. So what he did with putting also? Westbound gets the NBA. Everybody's like oh damn. He's actually good. Like like, he the the the feeling was that Howland limited people inside the limited defensively. Yes offensively. That's ethan. Guys, look at these guys that played under under Ben Howland how they play defense in the NBA. They're good defenders. I mean, there's just no Russell Westbrook was first team Pac twelve I mean. He was a very good defender. There's all the most these guys that come from us Darren collison. Right. They're known as good good defenders. And this. Erna follow was a good. Looking for a long time. Earl Watson stuck around role player. He's earlier anyway. But yes role player, but still the ones that were at the top were at the top. Kevin love were was a superstar. Zach LeVine was brought in by van Hallen. There are the there are any guys like Calipar in coach Kerr made men like these you don't just become Billy Donovan was a made man. And if he comes to CLA, if something happens, you know, what you know, he took two he went to national champion the culture around. It is different in the culture on college sports is different. You get the right guy in the right? Nice guy. Duke isn't going to have the same deal that coach K hat. He's going to be dependent on DIGI get Zion this year. Not. And that's what you gets built twenty five years. You're talking all you're saying what you're talking about though. And you're talking about how what they're recruits, you don't see go look at the recruiting classes top five recruiting classes with an awful terrible Dhingra telling you that UCLA can't be good again. I'm telling you that the idea that people will. Care that UCLA? You have the right coach people care..

"He's a great coach it's going to do with integrity. I don't know if he's the personality that can deal with you can deal with it. He's not going to enhance it. Like, he's not going to be Patino. You know being Dean Martin, you know, what I mean? Vedeno would be it'd be out to a Dean Martin. Right. As a great coach. Yes. I am a healthy Thad Matta invigorated that body. He's also very good recurred because he's so believable. Yes. I think he could win at UCLA. I I would not go into the mid west. I would go guy that can really coach with a big enough personality and a big enough persona that he can basically tell all this static. Go blank yourself. This is the way we're doing it. Stay out of my way, come see me at the end of the season. We'll go to the phone force. And that's not what you need. Or, you know. I don't know. I mean, so let's put it at the Pac twelve I think is a league in transition, their TV contracts and mess with the direct TV stuff, or whatever, you know, what's going on with that the league's amass in. That's not a reason why they're not winning because they're having a level playing field because of the way they conduct business with the chartering stuff, which is. All right. Let me let me ask you this. Seth greenberg's five coaches. He would talk to at UCLA are three coaches five whatever you want. I would coat top list would be Rick Pitino. Second would be Billy Donovan. Would be Kevin Keats. And he would I don't think he would do it. I might talk to Chris Holtman. Yeah. He's a connector of people even though he's a mid western guy. He's a he's a guy that that. And I'm Jay, right? Jay Wright, Jay, right because you walk in. And you know, now Jay Wright in his next job would be taking on the job is going to be in bad. But I mean, Jay right because Jay Wright, walks in with two national championships presence persona a- vision, and an understanding of you know, he can recruit one dons, and he he can also get old and stale and maybe Mike break. I don't think Mike Bray. You know, because you who get he's going to do his thing. You know, I talked to was that. You'd think I'm nuts or I talked to Rick Pitino person foremost, we'll talk to Steve Kerr second. I would I would, you know, th eventually this thing's going to break up. And he's either, you know, look, let's be honest pop ain't that great coach without Dunkin and Robinson, and all those guys all of a sudden, I would talk to Mike Bray dough. And and I would talk to Kevin Keats. I I would talk to Kevin Keats, and I would talk to Billy Donovan, but I would throw to act as as once from from the upper upper deck right there. Well, I would I would ask him. I mean, look, he's a pack twelve guy. Again, this thing it at the warriors may break everybody assumed member remember back to start the year. Everybody assumed a warriors. We're going to go eighty two. And no, I mean, it was like this is not fair. We've got well. They're struggling a little bit. I mean, not not to the players. Get better. Worse. What's that this cousins? Make it better worse thing in that situation. Probably better. She's got guy that can throw it to ask a little big money. And I don't know that he can affect the personalities on that team. But now you got let's say that. Here's what you and I both know when you are inside of it. You know information before it gets to the public. They may know because Kevin Durant has changed his personality dramatically from when you know, he was coming into the league to where he is right now. They know what he's gonna do. Now. Let's say he leaves. I don't know. I mean, I could leave. Absolutely, I would talk. I would I would re you're using Bob Myers anyway might as well talk to coach. And maybe, but I would I would I would. And I'm trying to think of any other NBA guy that I would talk to maybe you do talk to pop of it, maybe Popovich months. I don't know. But I'm going big here. I'm not messing around. There you go with anything other than the best of the best wouldn't get a sideline interview with Papa..
