Did you lee right to rob reiner and rub it in his face do that after the show once i get this. Take this ivory tower. He's at robert. I hate garin dot com. Rob reiner bill. That's a great little behind the scenes for you when rob reiner was on this show He guarantee bragged that he has a master's degree in screenwriting and rob reiner shit on him in a way that nobody has ever crapped on corporal in his life but we loved it. It was the funniest moment in the history of the show. Why would why would you like that. Rob reiner it doesn't make sense funny. Yeah yeah but i hope of set by. No no. No no no no please. That was an odd i would. I would like to listen back to that now. Actually because like was he. "America's number one meal kit heavily. Welcome back to the program episode. Twenty eight oh five. We're coming back from a break and my phone starts ringing the second coming back from the break. The phone that i keep in the closet so we don't hear it. Maybe he doesn't even hear it. Maybe i should me bringing it. Up was pointless now worthless. We're joined Coming out of this break by my great friend. Bill left bill. Bill and i have been friends since the early eighties. We went to high school together. We then both left oak forest illinois went on to show business him locally. He can't go anywhere chicago without somebody buying them a hotdog or a slice of pizza. I moved out to los angeles where i could walk where nobody knows who i am or gives a shit so he made the right choice. I would love to be able to walk around naperville right now and have people go there is. It's the guy from the radio. There's very exciting. Bill's brand new television show called tune with me. It's over there on tv. I think it starts at two o'clock in the morning and goes to four in the morning depending on where you're living but bill and he's also got the show bill and wendy show that is available at apple music. Not apple music my apologies. Follow it on apple's apple podcasts and it's also available of doubt over there at wls dot com. Hi bill jimmy. It's good to see you. it's my pleasure now. Listen here's my question for you who you got a question for me. I expect answers this program doing this now tune in with me when i grew up in chicago land we grew up and i think every market had their version of this but you and i grew up in chicago land. Where a guy by the name of ray rayner would bring in the morning to us before. Bozo's circus would come on and other wasn't circus was on at noon. I think at that point wasn't it out So but ray raider would he would. He would show cartoons and he made us as children feel very comfortable and he might do a project where he was. He was having to make ship out of popsicle sticks and his version always sucked. Which maybe. In retrospect he did on purpose so that we wouldn't feel bad as kids when ours wasn't as great as the as the and so growing up. You go you. Don't be a great job that that would be the greatest job in the world to do that and here you are. Maybe living that dream is that the case. I hit the lottery jimmy. There's no doubt about it. I was late for school nearly every day. Because i would watch ray rayner and if it was just too good to go to school. I'd say i'm just gonna sit and watch. The rest of this will be damned. I would say and then when we come home from school there was a man named bill jackson who had a show called cartoon town and the same thing. I would just watch that every day. I loved it My dream was to someday replicate that and then they had this ideal over at me tv to do a show. That's basically for adults but captures that kind of feeling. We all had as kids. And i dish in they had call backs in the kept whittling. It down modeling And i set my last audition. You guys don't have to cast me. But if i don't get it i'm gonna watch this every day and be jealous if whoever got this and they all laughed. And they said that's it. That's the clincher. The job is yours. That was just the fact that you would watch it even if it wasn't you if they said we got us to that. That sounds saddened athetic. But they were afraid of my scorn. Jimmy i think of what i might do if i didn't get it. So just for their own safety. I think they cast me. Here's here's what's interesting about. What you just told me bill because knowing you again for thirty plus years and i think every comedian in chicago from our from our group of people would agree with this. There's nobody better for this gig than bill. Leff there's nobody there so the idea to me that you had to audition and go through the process to get this gig and it wasn't an offer only is to me because to me. It's like hey we're doing this. We'll get billed laugh and be done with it. That would have been nice. But it was a months-long process. The auditions took just over four weeks. And everyone they kept. Whittling it down and whittling it down and you know i said to them at one point. I said i just want you to know. I'm not a good enough actor to pretend i can do this. I said because. I'm just not i said i live this. I live in a world of cartoons and animation and tv. And i do me a favor. There was a part where they wanted us to each to a special talent so they said you can either tell a joke or sing a song or make whatever you wanna do your special talent. So i said to all the writers and producers just asked me tv trivia question anything you want nothing off limits and i went six for six the questions getting harder and harder and i just kept nalen and they'd look at each other and i'm like i'm not kidding. I live this right. If you're looking for a guy. I'm the guy i again. I repeat myself. The fact i i'm text back and forth down the time but the idea that you're coming from known being on radio in chicago hosted another children's show you the magic door back in the day. So you have you have the pedigree crazy to me that they were looking at. Were looking at at circus performers. Who i always assumed jimmy gets a bunch of circus people so yeah. There was some circus people while the last kid show. I did which was thirty. Plus years ago was the magic door and that was different because they only did that show because every tv station have a certain amount of what they call public affairs shows or human interest shows to get their fcc license so they just knocked it out every week and they didn't care the differences these guys they love this stuff and really care you know so. That's the difference but You know. I'm very lucky. Point good for you. I am so excited. Like i told my beautiful wife danielle and my son oliver about it. Honest to god. There's there's not a better match maiden all this thing like it..

"Morning stroll at four in the morning. Seattle fucking city lives i travel. There's not a single premise. You can't fuck literally in the middle of a riff about other cities alive. You've got to go into some god damn back to the future. Bullshit delorean cox suck and fucking shit. I'm sorry jimmy. Doing a riff on the walking the streets of hollywood in the middle of the night all coked up and see what's going on. Maybe i'm going to walk down an alley member going to walk down the street to stop into a coffee shop and see what's happening but i can't now because you've got to yell the wall he turns around goddamn virtual background now. I got fucking deal with it by the way. Swearing aren't really all that upset. The swearing this is. I'm not really all that angry. So i i throw in a lot of language to emphasize that fact so if you don't use swearing that's when we should take. I'm really mad can speaking of back to the future. My main criticism was that it was just too darn loud is that that is a line from back to the future. It's a spoken by the one. And only he lewis. I think is his hearing. Troubles started on the day of the shooting just because they insisted on making him. Actually darn out in the stage. Matt you've mentioned the huey lewis video for power of love. The i always want to save then mo video chat. it's not even video is a video. Vivo it's channel vivo on pluto. Tv right for some reason that seems to be in very heavy rotation and it the build up to them. Doing the song is like you mentioned. It's like a little mini movie. That is not entertaining. Doesn't go anywhere killing a some editor. Please get involved and cut that. I fuck and four minutes and just get the huey play in the song so weird. It's it's it's cutting back if you haven't seen it i think Like i said. I don't think at the time they really showed that beginning part that much or maybe i was too young to be watching mtv. I don't remember it being that long. I think i think a lot of times. Mtv would be like. Oh thank you for the video shop. Here's the song. We don't give a little cinematic masterpiece. Cobbled together here. But it's just it's cutting back and forth between huey doing the most boring stage patter i've ever seen in a small club. Well he's also you don't know this matt he's talking to a guy named dr gonzo okay. He was a comedian from the bay. Area he now lives in illinois and he's a great guy okay and gaza was releases opening. Act a lot and he was great friends with you we louis. So he's talking to them as if everybody knows who he is he's like. Hey oh go talk to that guy. Like as if we're seeing this behind the scenes of getting ready and doing his trademark he does some crazy trademark move that he keeps doing to the camera. But if you don't know who. Dr gaza was. You don't know why the fuck that's happening. There's no context to allow you to enjoy any of that. If you if i knew if i had known any of that or if they had let us in on that i think i might have enjoyed it. Actually but then he said they feel. They feel the need to cut to a very confused. Christopher lloyd why do i have to put this costume back on getting out of the delorean outside And then a bunch of women get in and and then some random guy hops in and take off. It's not. It's certainly not michael j. fox which is probably what it was supposed to be and So they just got some random extra to hop in the delorean and travel through time. Never brought up again. Except i guess the very end the car comes back right car does come back at the very end i i i. I waited it out. I was like what i do. This is my new ritual at night is i. Put that video channel on. While i scroll on the on the phone answer me mails text. That sort of thing While that's on in the background so All of huey lewis gets played unless re last night he was like. Why can't take this for the forty nine time. I'm going to bump up to the seventies channel. And if i gotta watch that barry white video one more we talk about the last week loop twelve videos on both those channels that they just keep going around and around on. You and i am not talking about that. Ironically though one of them is red round and round. It's well. I've seen round and round on there. I have not. I have not seen one that we talked about before. That's the one in berlin video right that Is that. I thought it was the other one. That was the second one that had milton. Burl again looked at her all around big dining room table rounded you you might be right now round and round because i can't even think of another rats on yet s- it looks like it's running around. He did that second. They're they're interesting in that they that out of the cell. I was at the register at the time. Sold like crazy and but what sold more was there. Hang on a second. The sons attack. I'd say. I look away for a minute and then i come back Like the guy in you know is powder outer that was created as it wasn't lighting anything else in the room. Just by had a cop came in with a flashlight i was going to say. Is that the rat merchandise at the record store. The t shirt. I i can this. I'm not. I don't think i'm exaggerating this at all. I with my inability to inform sentence. The that we would sell five rat t-shirts to like one of anybody else. Like it was and then if you walked around the city of chicago everybody was wearing a rat t shirt crazy. How huge that logo. And and the imagery was it was a cool. You'd like to hear more about jimmy's thoughts about rat and all other things music. You will look at this week's episode of jimmy's records and tapes waiters. Get radcow talk about canadian. Accent rat is why does why would read combinator choice Thank you very much. Does this very topic about the this. I got three anecdotes early. We'll there's a little teaser tapes. Go on over there. It sounds like and you're telling me it's canadian this week. That's correct. I was fun. I enjoyed Jimmy's regular season. Two point five. I enjoyed the most recent seven or eight episodes. Were not that. I didn't like the other ones but i kind of feel like maybe somebody was highly caffeinated when shot this most recent batch would that who would that be the camera and the sound guy. Oh all right as we talked about before you know. It's not the location. It's the engineer. That's in this case. It's the camera and the sound guy. Speaker-to-be directors daves. I'm stand up wearing now that that's excellent. Yeah he's a mario giorgio and it's on the front page of never not funny dot com. That's the brand new gyms records and tapes shirt that to commemorate season two point five. It doesn't say anything about that. "Miles per hour. I'm Eric rung in the WGN radio newsroom. And these are the stories that matter on seven hundred twenty WGN. It's Bill leff. It's Wendy Snyder. And thank you, Eric. I I want to clarify something because I read this incorrectly. Liam Neeson was speaking with Robin Roberts. Good Morning, America. And he was talking about an incident that happened forty years ago, he opened up to Britain's the independent about this incident recently, and he's getting backlash about it. And that's why appeared on good Morning America. So the article originally was not forty years ago as you question because he wasn't famous. Fantas I don't know why they would have interviewed him back then. So they didn't. This was an interview that he did with the pendant independent recently, the actual events took place forty years ago. Anyone on good Morning America did discuss the backlash from the independence interview. And he's all over the place today. He's everywhere today. Because people are wondering what his motives were for for the divulging of the story. It's very strange because this is it have to do with the theme of the movie. Well. I have not seen the movie from but from all indications and from every Liam Niessen movie I've ever seen somebody in his family is kidnapped and he goes out to find them. And there's a script like Hollywood. They don't even have a casting session. Just give it to Liam Nathan does. He's good at finding family members have been kidnapped and six three zero said he talked about his life at that time during the Catholic Protestant war in Ireland, and how the mindset was to identify in detail who was an attacker to exact revenge on that particular person. All right. Here's something that will clean the pallet. Just a little bit Wendy. It's little radio sorbet. Radio survey for you, some Intermezzo. I have found this at MSN. These are things that we the public do in restaurants that we think is good. We think these things are good that were helping. But as it turns out, the staff of the restaurants are not happy with you, see how many of these you're guilty that many have you in a restaurant setting seated yourself, you go in you see that the host or hostess is busy now. And you look around and go there's a couple of open tables. They're busy. I'm just gonna sit down. I have never done that unless it's not like a hostess place. It's like if it's a seat yourself plays. You see yourself, and I even like stop for a minute because it's not right for me to just go sit anywhere wait for someone to say, oh, you can sit anywhere you want. That's the key to this is somebody gives you the authority to do that. Then have at it ac-, go ahead of tears, but on my own. No, I won't do that. Because I know that they have little seating ideas of things they wanna do see people in a certain station. I don't want to mess that up. So I've not done this. But they recommend over at MSNBC. You. Not do this. I would never do that. If the hostess or host is busy just give him a minute. They'll they'll come to your defense the help. It's not the Aleve. Yeah. Given thirty seconds. Now here, you know, if you're waiting twenty minutes, and no one comes to talk to you. I will warn you in advance. This is one that I'm guilty of almost every time restaurant stacking used plate. I do that all the time to always do that. And they don't want you. They want to do it in their own form and fashion crime. But then be a little more attentive and get rid of them quicker doesn't even have to do with being attentive in my head. I'm making their job easier because you don't have to grab around and reach around and grab that one and put that one on top of that one. I've already stack them for you, can I tell you why that you're not making it easier, and I only know from experience when I host thanksgiving every year. Jim is the one who does all the clean up when people offer to help we say, no because they stack them. And then when you're putting the dishes in the dishwasher, you now have to rinse both sides of the plate. I understand that. So that's a restaurant more so. Yeah. Right. Because there's more vying. How do they do it volume? That's how they do it. Now, knowing that I know that this is wrong. If I went out to eat right now. Still do still do it. Because it seems like a good thing. But if they stack them that's their business. Right. I just I what if I asked an advance. Instead, what is your what stacking technique? Do you use here because I want to help you here, we can rehearse this. Hi, my name is Jean be your server today. I I'm a stack or eating. Probably stack my and my friends used plates. Is there a certain method because I wanted to make sure I get this. Right. No. I'd actually appreciate the help. So go, I'm gonna do it. Then she would say, you know. Yeah. I'll I'll get your dishes. Don't worry about it. Thank you. I don't wanna share my tip with you. I know it's part of it's part of the show. It's part of the game. It's part of it. And I don't have this is something I wanted so badly. Can't wait to hear this. You know, when you're in a nice restaurant, and there's a. You've never been in a nicer. So there's like there's crumbs and things near your plate. I like when they pull up that thing, that's like a safety razor, and they they like move. They move the crumbs over very neatly. I can't I would like to I would like to have one of those I have one where did you get one? No, that's electors. If they've got him because I want lectures, lectures, that place in the mall where they sell food items that I think Hannibal Lecter father owns them. I think. It's winter crumbs scraper, and you get it. Technical terminology. Tab for five bucks. I'm in Milan. I'll get one. No, sir. Letaba zen like old orchard. That's a that's a real place a place Sirois table surly table. I've been to the tab never been in. That's five bucks. You can get Amazon as a deluxe improves stainless steel chrome scraper slated cliff seven ninety five I would like excuse me. But are you going to carry this on your person every time you go out? I just there's something about the art of that watching a waiter or waitress who's really good at the scrape that. I just I applied physically applaud that. That's fantastic doesn't work as well. On paper. Tablecloth it has to be a cloth picnic table. It doesn't work on. You. Gotta be in a nice restaurant. The Crummer Crummer tool restaurant grade quality stainless, steel, Crummer blade. Perfect for restaurant waiters waitresses servers, and and me customer Bill. I would like to have one of those cromer's. This is a. Kind of a a newfangled one improved is thirteen ninety five money's no for this to have a good Crummer. I was here. Say was coming up. I would love one for my birthday. Keep in mind, Wendy, I'm ambidextrous. So please get me one that I can use either left handed or right? And you can just wanna make sure even if it's a couple of extra bucks. It's worth. That's a weird one. I used to bus tables as a side gig. And I loved it when people stack their plates, it was just grab and go onto the next table. Don't you think it just depends on the place is put in a nice restaurant. No, Saturday night, my wife, and I in two friends went out, and I did this and it streamlined the process. I I even got a look from the server as if to say, you don't know what kinda day, this is Spencer. You what you have just done. I thought they were gonna cry. They were like thank you so much keep doing it. Keep doing what is this survey from MSN? These are all things that they don't want you to do in restaurants that you think are okay. But they don't want you to. All right. We'll take a quick break. And then more this where we're at three one thousand nine hundred seventy two hundred if you wanna call if you have a Crummer descend gently used no you wanna fresh and get a new one. Yeah. Don't use food items that are used solid. That's true. Right. Say no solid big going. I said. Your big boy is the guy holding the burgers. I think I met that's big boy big boy. I love sleeping on five star quality sheets, Wendy, I love it. And now, I can get that same feeling at home with Brooklyn and sheets Brooklyn and sheets were named the winner. The best of online betting in a category by good housekeeping. They rave reviews from business insider from apartment therapy, and for men's health Brooklyn and makes luxury sheets, but without the luxury markup Brooklyn and was the very first direct to consumer bedding company. "That matter on seven twenty WGN. Sunday best. Thanks so much. It's Bill leff. It's Wendy Snyder in studio with us right now, the excitable boy himself, David Hochberg. Now, I have to warn our listeners David is about to divulge, something earth shattering. If you're standing up, please sit down if you're sitting down lay down because this is going to change the way everything happens in the universe. Everything. The world's gonna start spinning around in the opposite direction. Yes. Yes. Left. Right right is left up his down down his up. It's confusing. Please explain while the books written in Hebrew. We're gonna have to be rewritten. Yes. Okay. Yeah. Just turned around. I am no longer at Perl mortgage. Don't tease us. I am not that is not a tease that is. A fact I am still in the mortgage business. Yeah. At team hockberg is still operating as team hockberg. Yes. And we are still fully functioning. So if you call my old number which I don't encourage you to do. Yes. If you're looking for us, we're not there. Right. We're now at a new company called the home side, financial, they're based out of Maryland. There are four point four billion dollar company twice twice the twice as large as as our old company. And we're starting up an office here in Chicago forum and team hockberg. Started on Monday morning, as as as full-fledged representatives of of homeside financial, this is because of Cody parkey, this is Cody parkey was as soon as he as soon as that happened. Everybody's like we're done. We got we got we need a change change avenue. NMLS? No, my analyst is one three six seven five will be it always will be my that is ingrained with me until I am gone out of the mortgage business. So what hap- can you say what happened? Samphan Perl mortgage was being acquired by another company like happens series laundrettes of thousands of times a year in small medium and large sized companies in every type of industry, and we investigated the the new company and other opportunities out there and felt that for team hockberg and the families on our team that homeside financial was a better opportunity to better fit for what we were doing. And that's where we decided to go nothing against Pearl nothing against the new company. That's acquiring them. We we just made a a Claire. Yeah. Well, you guys because what I was here through that hole. They acquired Perl mortgage. But I was here when you guys were going through all that Michigan's nervous like what are we going to do are we gonna have a job? So it's the same thing actually takeovers a lot at people want to sell, you know, other companies and get out or get acquired or whatever the legal term is Pearl mortgage. Great company, they're being acquired by another great company that great companies just wasn't a good proper fit for us at this time. Right. Are we decided to go in another direction and eight loan officers, including myself on team hockberg, which we've been branding since I left. The other company are still with me. And we're still the support staff is still there. The underwriters are still there. The closing manager is is resigned from parole and his cO is going to be our closing manager. So we're basically putting the band is still together just in another country. All right. That's all it is. So you know, the other thing is better technology for for your listeners, which will make it easier for them to do loans. Lower interest rates are so so we'll have more competitive interest rates..

"All right. It's Bill leff. The twenty cider. We're getting our flu shots. We have Matt the immediate care technician. Who is administering a shot to Stephanie Tichenor right now, and he's doing it. Immediately living up to his billing Bertran just got his shot. And then Dr Matthew Kippen Han is with us. I'm going to get my shot, but a couple of questions that people have how effective is the flu shot this year. I know it's a bit of a crap shoot. But you think it's going to be how effective we never know until we really start seeing flu activity like we mentioned in the last segment, basically, the vaccine is picked from about six months ago of the strains that are circulating elsewhere in the world. So we're hopeful that it will be good. But we don't really know until we start seeing a lot of flu activity. Do you watch other countries and say, oh, it was a bad flu season in Europe, or wherever you know? It's going to be bad here. Does that how it plays out? Yes. Health Organization and the CDC monitor data around, and that's how they pick which straw, go in. What is the best time to get a flu shot? I remember October is before flu season starts is that the best time. Although I got mine December last year because I kind of forgot about it. It's never too late. Does it wear off on it lasts for one season? So in general, you need it every year in general the vaccine in that in the US starts to be available in September early October. I'm so now is a great time. Once you get your flu vaccine is takes about two weeks until we think that people really have immunity that said if you forget now and still wanna do it later in the season. It's still is always a good idea. Do they ever miscalculate think we've come up with the the exact right serum? And then it turns out the wrong. Yes. It's happened last year last year. It was definitely less than fifty percent of the strange. That's bad. I didn't get the flu. And I got a flu shot and actually I got mine in October. But I couldn't get the kids to go and a lot of places that you go to get a flu shot. It's free of cost to you. If you have insurance a lot of times instead of your copay, it's nothing or a small copay. You can also wear can other people go get flu shots so through northwestern. You can come to our media care centers. There's four centers throughout the city, and then they're sites in the northern suburbs that you can just walk in. And you can also go to your doctor's office and then places like Walgreens, we'll have flu shots and then your public health department as well. All right. We have a caller. So you're going to have to put some headphones on and actually I was filling out the questionnaire because you have to sign a consent before you get a flu shot and one of the questions involves what sues gonna ask. Hi, sue. How are you? Come on. I'll try one more time. Su are you there? All right. We don't have her. There is a question that was answered as it Gilliam bar disease. Kiamburi? Okay. Like, I was thinking Gillian Anderson. I didn't know how to say it. She wanted to know if she can still get the flu shot that was on the questionnaire. Explain a little about that. Right. So John beret is a neurologic disorder that can present after vaccinations or other illnesses, and basically causes paralysis. And if you've had a prior reaction with the flu shot to that. That's one contra indication that you should not get the flu shot again. Okay. So there are some people that shouldn't matter you ready to stick me. Yes. I am. Do you sleep is up? But then it is most of the time. I I will admit that. Most of the time to relax. My arm yourself look tougher. Let it tank. Dangle truer words never spoken thing. I will tell you that. My arm has been sore for a couple of days afterwards from the flu shot. Yeah. Although last year, I don't think it was two years ago. It was pretty sore. Why does it vary? Like that. It varies from person to person some people won't notice anything. It's basically just your immune system reacting to the vaccine does this strengthen your immune system. Obviously. That's the point of a vaccination. Right, right. It's to stimulate your body to make antibodies against the flu. So if you are exposed you won't have the full illness. Yeah. Now, you're looking away. I noticed usually you watch watch. I didn't. I met him. But I tell you the truth. I don't take it personally. 'cause I didn't feel a thing. Nothing. I'm not sure. Oh, yeah. One of the best. Flu shots ever though. Good word about that. I do especially back. All right. Great onion rings terrific. Flu shots. Thank you so much. You were very Chessel. All right. So what else do we need to know about the flu shot? Now would be it's not too early to get it. Correct. Certainly not this is a great time. And what what one does the flu season typically lasts? Like are. We out of the woods come January now. Right. It's usually we think it starts in about January last year. In november. And we saw flu activity the whole season even through February and March. So the guy who came up with the wrong flu vaccination serum. He got bounced right? You fire that guy? I think he's got some good knowledge for the next three. Three way to look at it. Is there some protection even though you don't have the exact precise strains that are hitting? Isn't there some protection in the vaccination? Anyway, it sort of depends, partly based on what part of the virus that the antibodies are too. So there's always some and the whole point is this that you're better off getting as long as you're someone.

"Thank you. Ryan. It's Bill leff. It's Wendy Snyder. Both Vilnai big fans of the Walking Dead. And last night was the season nine premiere. You and I have been there. A lot of people jumped off over the course of the last couple seasons. They said it was too graphic. And you said not graphic enough more blood and guts, please. No, it was it was like zombie porn. It kind of was. Zambia's became the feature. Yeah. And or Walker porn, I guess I should say. And now it's like they're strategically located. This is eighteen months later. Yeah. Zombies heavy they join unions, which I didn't think I'd see, but they get better dental now so good for them. There was some sad news prior to the premiere that actor Scott Wilson passed away who played Hershel Greene. Yeah. Very sad Herschel character Herschel Scott's character. Herschel was just such a tender man always trying to help someone and we had them in the studio to talk about that you were on vacation. So Steve Bertrand interviewed him with me he was in in cold blood. Yeah. With Robert Blake. Yeah. He did other movies. He's had quite an acting career. Well, the one that I've always loved him in is at it's hard because it's such a difficult role. But he's. He's George in the great Gatsby. If you haven't seen or read the great Gatsby, a pivotal character in the world of great Gatsby, and he just played it so wonderfully, and I felt bad because when he was cast in the Walking Dead, I didn't know from whence he came. Oh, you really don't. He's been in so many movies. The ninth configuration is a horror movie. He's in William Peter Blatty story. He had the most gentle kind is of anybody. I've ever seen on television or in movies. He is is just took you away. He looked. So worldly, just through his is, you know, he was such a sweet soft spoken, man. When he came in the studio, we actually got a zombie fide cake for him. It looks like a leg or a torso or something. Played along and was super nice. He is going to be featured in this last season filmed some scenes just before. And it was weird because you're talking Maggie was Maggie the character was talking about I have to get back to Herschel. And I'm thinking how are they bringing Herschel back, but there's a namesake. Yeah. Character named after him now, which I didn't know I thought waiters yesterday. How do they bring him back for this? I thought it would be a flashback sane really tender moment. And then at the end, they of course, put the m memoriam although talking dead didn't talk about it. They did it. I'm sorry to hear that. We I really am. So yes, Scott Wilson portrayed Hershel Greene on the show between twenty eleven in two thousand fourteen he died, October seventh after a battle with leukemia. And I believe he was seventy six very sad. He was still doing fan conventions up until a couple of weeks ago. I just saw his name fan convention a couple of weeks ago and everybody in the cast always had great things to say about him. They talked about how anybody new joined the show. He'd have always a big hug and tell him that it's more than a TV show. It's a family and welcome to the family. Really nice. Well, am very sad the other celebrity death, and this is especially hard for those of. Us here in Chicago. Don Sandburg who was on Bozo's circus, one of the original members of Bozo's circus. He was sandy the clown on Bozo's circus. He also died a short time ago and very very sad. If you ever went to see Bozo's circus, you always remembered sandy the clown. I liked sandy. Although I have to be honest with you. I thought he was already no longer with us. No, he he was last thing. You always say that when people well. I thought he died years ago. Well, I guess how old was he? Eighty seven. God bless them is eighty seven fell. He falls out of the limelight. I didn't realize he was still around. Now. Here's an interesting thing about him after he was done with with Bozo's circus here in Chicago. He went on to produce the banana splits show. No wonder you're so aware of how I'm very wary him for that the banana splits other than the Beatles. The greatest music group in history. And then after that he did a show which is similar to those shows but different enough. Do you? Remember, the new zoo revue come. Right. What were the three animals? Do. Remember was there? An elephant Henrietta hippo, Freddie. The frog and Charlie the owl those reader three animals on news review was that on for a long time because I know mayors and the stories that always came out with the actors who played those characters didn't get along so much like the banana splits. You know, how they were always just banging into each other. And they'd your Boeing bounce off each other. Well, the actors who played those those characters on news news review went out of their way to hit each other very hard because they didn't like each other which I think adds to the mystique of show because nothing else was funny about the show. So at least they have that going for him. This will remind people..

"All right it's bill leff in for myself wendy status taking the day off dan tomorrow mark harmon has been kind enough to stick around quickly mark you know this is true i owe an apology to both steve and mary who were talking all during the last segment but i wasn't responding because i couldn't hear them i had the wrong buttons press so i'm sorry marco stink i enjoyed so sorry rude anything was wrong i thought it was telling me just ignored i would never just ignore you ignore us some so sorry no i for some reason went down instead of the board i was hooked up to a blender caring people kept making margarita's that's fine salted or that they were mostly salted dachary we could do that for you all right here's the question joey chestnut every year comes out i don't know you said he's been doing this all year long doesn't just do it on the fourth of july there's other competitions other than the fourth of july competition mark i wasn't aware of that is here's a quote bill my first hotdog practice will happen in the beginning of may this was he's talking about it slowly gets more and more intense as a week and a half between my first practice my second i'm just trying to get my buddy used to pushing it in that fashion toward the end i'm doing a practice every six days see i had no idea that training was involved i just thought you show up probably hungry and then he eat as many as you can the hotdogs finish a tier i should put this in there too and i'm gonna absolutely strict diet making sure that i'm getting back to my target wait before i do another practice takes about two months to really know how all right that makes it more impressive again still discuss busting but impressive highly disgusting but silly all right so here's the question i posed to you is this a sport it is treated as a sport mark reports it in the sports and if you watch tv last night you saw it as part of the sports but is he an athlete is this sport you tell me let's start out with kevin kevin thank you for hanging on how are you hey good what do you make of this many ballroom discussions we all not a sport unless you complete defense that's interesting auto racing there's other cars on the track you know with fred jeez well let's just say joey chestnut goes to a contest and people are trying to mac the hot dogs out of his brain right watch kevin that's that's an awesome thing i should add that in as a secondary competition but what about golf kevin who's nolan's playing golf that's a skill that's not a sports figure against yourself that there's nobody really there and bowling to your that's a skill that's not a sport sport is when you can play defense and half over comet track that's a good one is track a sport then it's no real people at the same time and but they're not blocking you probably athleticism how about when you're eight and old uncle calls you sport does that change like chess is chess is sports that's qualified that as a game more than a sport right had a skill definitely a.

"Broadcasting live from miles is to disguise festival one hundred percent of the proceeds go to local charities heating up out here going to be hot today tomorrow a little bit cooler on sunday kearns what are you doing this weekend big tennis match tomorrow steve i thank you for bringing it up i know that you were you've been thinking about me in the nine o'clock match versus highland park where i'll be playing a number one singles in it's all on the line tomorrow steve this is not team tennis singles this well we are part of a group but you do have to play your match by yourself yes all right i noticed that the rankings in tennis it's a one to five scale well at the recreational over forty bed tennis player level that i'm at we've we have three singles courts one two and three and there's two doubles courts no i think he's meeting oh always talking thank you mary that's what i'm here for right so yeah that's it depending on how golf like i am i am what i would call a week seven seven andy capp shoots a seventy eight or seventy nine about once every five rounds and normally in the low eighties what tennis equival solid tennis equivalent to that would probably be a four or five somebody who is consistent and hits with some level of power but is not you know can't can't completely control hitting with power all the time and covers the court well and conserve and can do a lot of good things but he's not on the elite level which here's nuts about it as i am about golf i guess right yes yes i all the time i was out there yesterday well i'm a i'm a two day a weaker hopefully bill leff is also tennis nuts bill leff his tennis nuts bill f is an amazingly competitive wanting to win player when you go onto the court with bill leff he spends everything i'm told spins a lot buddy you know he is he's he's good at tennis but his true talents divas ping pong he's he's he is an olympic level ping pong player he wears the bill leff hat when he's out there sweats profusely it's not kidding i'm no i'm not it's unbelievable bill bill is like taking on olympic ping pong players and has gotten i don't think he's beat them but he's gotten like a bunch of points which is incredible right yeah of course it is left left left is like a stud ping pong player and he's a very good tennis player to he's like a forrest gump yeah he's gump for ping pong left is gump gump doesn't collect as many toys yes what are you doing this weekend and special you have no microphone cavs game all right season ticket holder came he pitch it sounds like we need pitching we could use some pitching there's no doubt so maybe mike montgomery starting today but perhaps later in the weekend sandra you're just gonna stand while yes families family is here assignment to stay away ally can think of when they showed up because they had a beer at six thirty s probably none of them made the bags at my house when they left the torture and excited to have them here though this is not the group that wrote on my couch two years ago this is the favorite part of the fence is the the different set however that little girl that wrote on my couch she's now five and she's turned the corner and it's amazing is she still serving some sort of you know retribution sort of what sort of forward you have to pay back your debts retribution works yeah whatever she was up until last year for her birthday i gave her this light for haram and she said oh aunt mary i just love my light and that then i wasn't mad anymore how old were you mary when you started making your bed within like one minute of leaving it oh yeah we my mom we weren't we weren't allowed to close our bedroom doors so our beds had to be made and we had this we had our comforters where like fitted sheet there these cute little gingham things so you had to have the sheets perfect so when you put the fitted comforter over it it laid perfectly so w w is pretty strict.

"You've heard all the stories as well and we as parents you need to take let them get a little upset with you for ten minutes because you're trying to be responsible mom or dad you can live with yourself right that's when you make up the story about i knew this this family right that's used and bill leff was their driver hilarity ensued but they didn't get there in one piece kits is what happened in you always have to say they moved away keith made it dangerous for everybody and being a parent is a difficult thing and i i kind of wish i had a girl although i know how i was as a teenager and i kind relieved now that i don't have a girl but parents do get into the whole thing okay let me just preface i that times have changed since when we had our prime most the twenty five year olds or whatever you know you have to put a moore's drug shirt environment even if you're temporarily hated usually they go back to the girls have to the fit shirt then the go out so jenner and they're go to the prom and then after that usually somewhere like i have or something like that just for dessert and you know it's the whole group can be together mad on a movie and put a curfew they have to be home at too though listen wanted drinker kind of find a way to drink or any.
