"For every show has talked about Mary. We children when he jumped the shark like I was big on Roseanne as a kid growing up and I watched it as I got older and I was like I really liked the show and then it jumped the shark when they got rich and also I can't watch it anymore between that and switching chop cheese yeah by the way gentrification the Oh the other thing with Roseanne that I did enjoy that the fresh prince should have done is acknowledging that we changed becky. I thought it was always the funniest shit about Roseanne's they would see becky. You look different today. Because I switched they try to carry that shit out on the fresh prince like we weren't supposed to automatically do the Michael Log Ocean. They didn't even try to get another dark skinned. Don't even know what that was what I was I was done. Little Nicky was mad corner. I Hate Nicky was kind of caught by like the college aspect. Tyra dinner thing on that show when she came in on Jada was on there for a second so they're cool like little dynamics fails cool. I'm just saying I I I liked to cosby. Show is like the pinnacle peak of Black Television in. Busting down the doors for. It's like yeah again. It's like maybe Eric Iraqi. I'm of a black television. See I think it's the run DMC and I'm okay. I could also run DMC for being hip hop pioneer. I'm no it's not. They're never going to be that high on my list of hip hop and that's how I feel about the cosby show. You broke a lot of barriers. Run DMC Blah Blah Blah. That's cool air be rocky always gonNA be better. It's going to be more more relatable to me. And that's like fresh prince it's GONNA be dope. It's more like the streets relatable when he moved to Bel Air because we'll took all those characteristics with him and I was a kid who later on in life not at this time while watching it but I moved from New York as they view to Vegas which when I moved vegas no matter I wasn't living in like Belair or rich but I had a fucking window at school. That served any type of lunch that I wanted like I went to high school and like a semester middle score late middle school where it was like. Yo this is things I've only seen on like nine to zero in lake crazy. White teenage shows boy meets world to me. It was always sunny outside. Who was I got to Vegas and I was like that. I felt like will. Smith my moved with my mom. I was like yeah. It's Craz go belair. My my dad's from New York to Vegas got poor and lived in crack alley that I mean that was marching from house in New York and rockaway and we live with all. I went to a Catholic school a private school with a bunch of white kids and I moved to Vegas and a bunch of Shit happened and ended living in the hood across you from the Boulevard. Mall where they sold crack every day in. You know this is where you know you cut your teeth. Gang does introduce gang culture that now that should exist in New York so it wasn't like mine was not my wish from sunshine and rainbows are total shit overnight opposite end as has vied vibrance more fresh fruits. That anything else but okay. We talked about for a second. We have to touch her another at least combat sports pro wrestling related show now and that's dark side of the ring and his back for a second season. We both enjoyed the first season and dark side of the ring comes out and remember when the first season ended. We talked about what we wanted to see on. The second season appeals to come back immediately. Both of US said Chris Benoit's and they went out. Not only did they do that. I'm not sure they could have done it any better. That was two hours heavy. That dog that was a lot. My God I yes so first of all. Let's talk about how vices completely fallen off after d'souza Merrill completely this all got it. I'll watch it at all but now oh this was so well handled. It was amazing to me death. He got so many people. WanNa talk they used to be the. Wwf actually worked. When been was there it's crazy. 'cause there's nobody from wwe there. But it's like Vicky Chabot Chris Jericho I mean that Malingco Milenko. I mean just recently lasts a year ago right like they must have got him as soon as he left because he laughed and then showed up at star cast. What last May when we did wrestling stereotypes? So the fact that they've got all this talent to To talk as in depth about Benoi and the Eddie Guerrero Angle is. What really made this hit home for a lot of people because those if you never knew the. Benoit's story you never knew about his relationship with Eddie Guerrero and how that affected him and for those of us that knew about Bin Wind guerrilla relationship. We didn't know the exact gravity of how it affected. Chris Been Wild with any past and all like travel talking about eighty Dinas arms. Like this was. This was a heavy heavy heavy episode. Heavy any do Atari apart more than anything else. Is David Been Wide still acknowledging like? That's my dad. You know what I'm saying like that was the hardest part for me. Because it's like a monster to the rest of the world you he was just dead and you gotta live with that for the rest of your life. That's crazy because he saw dad do one bad act or one horrendous act but the rest of the top like he's never seen dad do anything besides be a superman wrestlers. Nice TAKE THEM ON TRIPS. You know their bonds to be super deep and then he just finds out that your dad did this and I'm sure had to be years of disbelief and you see everything in front of you but it's still like this not the person I knew then as you grow up and then you look just like the guy. Yeah which is like you can't avoid it so people are like. Oh he wants to wrestle. Changes name for what? Are you going to show up on the screen as you know John John Henderson? And you're GONNA be like. Oh that guy looks I fucking Christmas like you can't dodgy no the guy it. It's it's so so tough and I feel bad for it because it's almost it felt like to a degree. Chris couldn't be punished by the industry by those around. By by people felt he did so much wrong and invoked all this this rage or emotion inside of them so inadvertently. David was punished for. Yes the bell. Family's curse that lasts names cursed and he's got to deal with that for the rest of his life. I mean the documentary self to be two parts IOS wondering. How are they going to come to the ground? I've read a lot about the thing because I've always been curious about why he did. I mean to this day nobody will ever know what happened for those days and the most horrible thing to me whether or anything else is yes. Obviously he'll to son and that was troubling and that was like that was really over the edge but the fact that he stayed in the house and they were dead for an entire day is something that would never sit right with me. Because this is a guilt is it. Are you trying to get away with this? Like I can't imagine what is going through. An individual's mind after committee was possibly inactive rage against your wife. I mean about wrapping the telephone cord around the neck including his near back that was rate and then I don't mean to this day I i. Can't you know you tilt your son? He was innocent. And then you just sat there in the house. That's I mean as much as we talk about. C. T. and steroids like this was lengthy Molotov cocktail of depression rage violence and everything and just blew up. And it's like you guys know we like. I always study human behavior. That's everything I do has to do with how people reacting how to handle certain things for the life of me. I can never figure this one out in listening to Jericho Malingco in Vicky talking about. Who been while was in Nancy sister. It's all about. Who was it so crazy? What a smiling picture can do. But what's behind the smiling pictures which you'll never know? And that's the scariest part to me. You never know was. Somebody's really going through at all and man. It just little details. I think at one point they had Like some of the officers working the case on there as well and then they're just talking about like his his searches search history during the one day after he had killed them. And and you know just searching like a Bible verse about resurrecting. The child like do you have regret then and then how to kill himself like was he. Grieving couldn't live with like so much goes through. You know just crazy the depth in it that will just be unknown forever is crazy But this is a story you know. After watching the first season this is the story. Want him to and then. They told him really shit. It was a lot like Dow's lot like it. It's crazy and how many other people affected around them and Then you get towards the end and you see Chris Jericho and bring in David and his aunt back together and then watching wrestling together and Jericho talking to the both of whom and then point you made and knowledge you kind of expand on this. But it's crazy how much Chris Jericho has seen been involved in and how much he's meant in general to pro wrestling. Yeah I mean. We've talked about this win. Jericho shifted E. W. We've kind of talked about this when he wrestled wrestle kingdom. Chris Jericho's career as a pro wrestling. I don't think enough people really talk about his place on the Mount Rushmore. Because we make it really simple. It's before he said the N. Word was Hogan Rock Austin and then Brighter Sean. Or it could be both of them yet. That was then Sina. We we we've discussed as well. That was like the Mount Rushmore pro wrestling. And when you when you look Jericho. He's been in this game for almost thirty years thirty thirty years when we talk about. Austin yes Austin has been the business for a while stunning Steve Austin from. Wcw In the short run at EC w the ringmaster wwe than stone. Cold took off. But when you really think about stone calls run it was like a fifth of Jericho's runnings that's like the rock the rock. Yeah he had a great run but it wasn't that long right six years it wasn't incredibly long shown was broken up into two acts what Chris was still wrestling..

Vicky Chabot Chris Jericho Chris Jericho Vegas New York wrestling Chris Benoit David cosby Roseanne Nicky Tyra becky lake crazy Eddie Guerrero Wwf Eric Iraqi Michael Log Ocean Mary Jericho Malingco

"How many people did that you know came from Philly in the hood and got to move to a rich family with a father was a judge in Belair. This is Belair. We're talking about you thought about the cosby. Show being unrealistic uncle Phil a judge in Belair. He went he went to college multiple. Okay got there. And now we're talking about the hustles where you talked about a family that yes. The mother and father worked hard to be a lawyer in doctor and on top of that their kids were at all sunshine rainbows. Denise was a fuck up feel was a fuck up early. Vanessa was a fuck. They all had their fuck ups. This wasn't a just a sunshine. A radio show. That's I have to question you because I don't feel like you really watch the show. I just I I did. I never liked it like any watched. Like I can't go back into episode because I never liked Seattle river episodes telling you like you're judging an artist on one album Yes if I don't like it or every time there. Radio single comes on and people like. Oh this is dope. And they're going to get. I don't like we talked about this with jail or Toronto. I'm probably never going to be a J electric fan. 'cause I've listened to him several times over the course of years and I just don't like yeah but also that's the difference. You clearly didn't watch to be so you can tell me was all watch the cosby show like I watch. There was only so much. You can watch before the netflix exist in Nick at. Nite was like my specialty being up at all times of the night and being a night owl. Nick at night was the specialty. Wgn played crazy shit at night. I watched all of these shows. I got into friends. They got into shows like cheers. I got into I watch Murphy Brown for a period you said the nanny was business city this. I'd Rather Watch this is. This is where you fly and then we're on like back to back night. This is this is where you get criticized because it's not saying it wasn't too bad you're putting trashing head of it like that was clearly trashed the nanny. Are you serious? The nanny was trash. Komo you compared it to the cosby show like you just compared Jay coins tipsy too. Ill Matic on Bro. It's not ill man but okay is it. Good is it. The genesis of the genus inflex. Television for a lot of people is if I had to be objective with his accolades with everything. Okay I wouldn't rank it out of twenty top twenty five lift. Let's if I had to be objective if I had to say my twenty-five list in a making but if I had to be objective I understand what it said? You have the nanny the nanny. I liked it any better than Danny Ephron Dresser Maxwell Sheffield you talked about the fresh prince. Bian this realistic show. I never seen the cosby show. Well Shit no. I come on the first price. They switched and vivid head. Little Nikki Bedi jumped sharply. Oh that was. That was we talked. And I didn't think obviously no one thinks the new it was his dope is hold on no but but to be clear like I like the first day also had gone. But I'm not gonNA sit here and say I'm not going to say that. The net like homeboys from outer space was better than the first place that would be blasphemy. And that's what you do. I say I like it more than I do. It's higher on my list. Top twenty five trash cosby's not in my time. I had to be objective. Cosby's what top ten fringe ten. I don't feel like a scene copy tells me I don't feel like you've ever watched the season the cosby's I couldn't get through it again and we talked about this group chat which takes a long time now but nick at night so four episodes at a time out of syndication which means yeah so I would watch maybe forty four. That's eight in a row and then not watch for the next two days because you know you. Just don't stay up as late or whatever and catch it at next Tuesday and watch Tuesday Thursday so you get four groups of fours. But they're sitcoms that immediately catching no matter what what order you cash them in like Seinfeld. You can throw me in season two and season seven. And I'm hoped I gotTA refocus. Blackheart feels great Sitcom. I Love I love to and I like other black sitcoms. Just than the COSBY's I like. I really like a different world. I used to watch different. Where all the time I like? What the LASSIE's different world little bit went off the rails but I also think the different world had won a best endings of any. It's highlighted in. The story actually made sense and tied in a happy ending ended. How should I mean look I love a different world? But there's yes so that I put more in his side's the end a lot living singles was good except for the last season. Really last season Martin was overrated. I'M GONNA get this from a lot of people. Martin was incredibly overrated. Woo over the highs. The highs were hot is behind. The highs. Were two seasons you did also say Jamie Foxx show was yes as TA. No he was what it's because the end of Jimmie foxx show went off the rails. Here's what this really put this in the context because I got a crack my clock. You go ahead. The Martin was a great show for two seasons to as soon as as soon as Morton he got. The television show is when it began to fall off once he was the best. If you all the best episodes of Martin we're in the first two seasons the Varna episode Tommy Davidson. The one with biggie. The one time I heard all these episodes happened in the first two seasons in our mind the Martin's run was a lot longer than it was thirsty. Just started falling off. Four Seasons got married. I like the third season to cope and when he came back to the cult started become a character show where everybody started to be a character in the in. The continuity forcing was whatever fifties was when Gina wasn't on ten episodes because he had the sexual harassment thing with Martin. And you could feel the tension on that show because it just didn't make sense anymore genus as gone Jamie Foxx if you go back like Jamie Fox you watch it now like the traffic school episode with Mark Curry or the jingles episode. Everybody remembers traffic traffic school episodes screws though when? Mike told me to sing like Prince. Listen to our curry's while wildly but the Jamie Foxx. Oh held up longer than Martin. Martin was great in and I it was. It was like I was used that theory. It was the Gilbert Arenas of television shows when it was hot it was on fire but it was gone like Pam. Gilbert Gilbert was agent zero not the best player in the League for a hot second. He got the bronze gates right. Yeah but when we think about it like some people the Hashed out they glorify Gilbert Arenas but it wasn't that long in the Martin we glorify the era of television but it was only two seasons. It was like five seasons of the show. I hated the fifth season the four season. I really was checking out and watch. It sees mean this is much I've went back and watch the Jamie Foxx show hell holds up. Better Jamie Foxx Show Bernie Mac. Show both hold up extremely well. Family Matters Ages terribly. Laura matters not as dope and more a horrible human being. She is shot. Laura Laura is going back and I watch How much mother Laura and the main character for how I met your mother. Robin are probably my two of my worst most hated characters and Sitcom history. Because they're just horrible human beings like the way when Steph on our cell showed up the way Laura would just flip on Steven Steven still going after. Steve had a fucked up from the beginning. Steve had his girl right there Mara and just wanted something else was the shit. Look Building Laura too but you know oh hands down hands down so now that that was what ways brothers had a nice run. I'm not a big Fan. It was corny and cheesy but I I liked it. They had a good dynamic. I liked Wayne's brothers more than like a lot of their movies. Yeah like my brothers. I won't say is trash like it has some decent episode. But I've never been a Wayne's family fan and I say this after Damon Keenan once it got the Shawn and Marlon just wasn't really a big Fan. Okay like a sense. I guess I do like somebody. Movie Senseless White Girls. Like scary movie scary movie. I one and white girls are hilarious. But I feel I get. Marlins brand of humor isn't really for me and like and don't be a menace medicines. Amazing Oh but I feel like the peaked with Keenan Damon. Like in living color was the ways that was like teen in Daming for sure and Kim but then after that it was just like I just wasn't a huge fan in other ways juniors Keleti now like the Wayne's or other show I watch the I just like Jamie Fox was in high regard because Jamie Fox is like the most underrated actors slash musicians slash comedian ever. I don't think I'll think Jamie will ever get the crane deserves like that man is absolutely phenomenal. Agreed and I think we had that conversation better than someone but we have like a crazy conversation about that. We'll Smith I know that much yet to address why in some people were like. Oh you don't like black sitcoms go way sitcoms and I would just tell you this it is not that I don't like black sitcoms when judging the overall nature of a Sitcom and how great it was black sitcoms for a long time and I think black ish might be the only one different now. Maybe we're seeing a term for blacks calms always got the shaft end of the stick. So they were never able to finish as strong as white sitcoms. They weren't able to go as long. They weren't able to have the death in storytelling and opportunities. White Sitcom Tat. And that's the only reason I have so many white sitcoms in my top ten because guess what living single would be better than friends on my list if they had the ten seasons and it wasn't cut short and didn't have a true finale and the last season didn't have like a lot of bullshit. Went there where they weren't getting their money weren't getting paid correctly. They were screwed because they were black. So the itself was hurt due to that but many were all right. One of my favorite like the office is in my top five office. Seinfeld curve invested developed again big budgets long seasons not immerse long shows arrested development opposite way. I can say the same thing for like a undeclared is a Sitcom I like. One-season jet appetite got cut that quick But in general a lot of the white show always sunny that a lot of people had on their list and a group chat long runs a lot of money behind it. Let them tell their stories for longtime a lot of black. Sitcoms did not have that you know which one do I know you're GonNa Talk? Show did it. Was the number one television all houses. It's like eight eight nine years we can move on because after everybody else had it. Which what's your top five to finish this right now. you know particularly renews? I just said it curb. The office cosby show arrested development and Seinfeld okay. I had Seinfeld friends curb then I had. I think fringe was how I met your mother and something else was tied up there I know I'm forgetting like two of them. My list I have like six cheat But curb is definitely up there. Oh the office of course is for And then yeah how. Much mother's like fringe five from me. I hate the last season so I might have to bunk that off for something else. I gotTa really get back into always sunny and see how that hits because a lot of people say that's really funny. Oh Parks and REC Park. Also tied for fifth again. Highs are really high in that show. The lows are Kinda low. I thought it was really good like the funniest episodes of funding are really high. Like I'm going to do another rewatch. The office just because CA. This shit is fucking hilarious. Like Mike to me. Michael takes dive when Michael Leaves. Does that hurts. I mean so that that's why it's only like four every it can never go higher than for every show has talked about Mary. We children when he jumped the shark like I was big on Roseanne as a kid growing up and I watched it as I got older and I was like I really liked the show and.

"The old man on Jay's Hale we are recording from what this week to a self quarantine for us hopefully everyone else listening has joined us by now in making sure you guys are also corentin taking care of yourself and your family and those around you to anyone affected by the corona virus You know within your direct family where people you may know or even through work you know all of our prayers and concern without to you guys. Thank you for listening and rocking with us through this situation. Man I it's it's it's wearing on all of us to be inside but you know we're making the best out of things and one way this week. That has kind of kept me. Sane is talking to the reverse rat pack in our group and last night last night for some reason. Andres try to put me on blast on twitter off oven very normal non hot take conversation that was happening in our group chat dray. Why'd you have to do me like that? Because you're utterly ridiculous. I mean you gotta give parents eggs. Nobody just put you on blast for no reason like you earned this one it. Was you know it started with well? Here's how it actually started. I was just going through the win but I think I was watching. C. A. W. and I was came across a clip of the office and it was the clip. Was it was a clip where Michael Scott As Toby y the way that he is in maybe thinking I was like I went down the rabbit hole office episodes about time to watch this shit again officers one of my top five sitcoms all the time so the group chat who watched it and who didn't a few people ahead never watched it which. I told him to fix that and then I asked. What's the top five sitcoms of all time and everybody gave their you know a pretty cool this and then here you come obviously put with your friends bullshit. You put it at what number two you know which I like friends. Yes it is the second greatest. Sitcom EVOLVE OKAY. Whatever and then then you know. I'm talking about my top five and I'm trying to figure out what my number five spot is for. Whatever reason I didn't think and this is the cosby show and here you come on about cosby shows night. Not even top twenty five. Come Out in my top twenty five. And that's that's where I hear the records scratch so for a second. Just an Ivy us in our group chat was with me like you know what Bill Cosby really enduring for me. Maybe there's an age gap You Watch the cosby show a while. It was actually on air. I watched it do nick at night and reruns which also high watch a lot of other things but the cosby show was never my show. I never felt that attachment to it. I always thought it was wack like I get why people like maybe I should call lack. But it was like mid to me. Like there's better shows freshman bel better absolutely. I like family maps freshly. There's no comparison no comparison fresh prince of bel-air ridiculous. I suppose better in cliff no well. There's no character oil on in the Hustle family. Oh my God because at that point. There's something relatable for everyone like well came from the hood and Philly dressed like normal. Teenagers dressed the cakes music. The bounce was there and you saw a legit stable affluent black family but with the cast of characters. That had a little bit of everything. I get that from the cosby's the Combo so different than everything else. It's like they completely opposite ends of the spectrum like they didn't even go with the middle ground. They went crazy to the left of congrats. You have two family house or two parent household and your family. Your doctors and you told me yesterday. They were shopping for paintings and Shit. Cool like good. Your Dad Does Dad Jokes. That aren't funny and he's the putting guy like I never got into it. You know what is wrong with me? I first and foremost they were the first black family on TV. Well I mean the Jefferson's own the laundromat so and they came from on family but they were an flu evidence on. Wasn't that come on on a junk yard. There was a doctor and a lawyer owner. But I've seen there was a doctor in a lawyer in the cosby show house first of four hours before anything else and there was a two parent home but you didn't have that on TV prior to the cosby show. There would be no uncle Phil. If it wasn't for cliff huxtable I guarantee and then I'll just how fair I give them credit for being the first of weights that stop. Yes by far. The best every wanted to be like huxtables because their family was a nuclear family that they grew together. They didn't flaunt their richest in-your-face I didn't understand the auction episode when there was going to buy a painting which was by black painters or when they went to the studio with. Stevie wonder when they took tap lessons or any things that they did. It wasn't overly like we're rich. We got money. They treat it as a normal day to day and they treated their kids normal day to day. They had money so the premise of the cosby show laid the foundation for every. Show that you've seen since then because there's never ratios in Brooklyn Right. Yes they own a Brownstone in Brooklyn. They own a browse which cool. I know Black People Brown songs. I will let you know this as unrealistic as people always constantly tell me friends is in which I can tell you how. It is realistic for White. Yuppie kids and kids live long island to do the shit that went on in friends so regardless alive. You say it's unrealistic is say no. It's not equally a fairly in the eighties. Which is another reason why. I didn't relate to me I understand. There's affluent black families as everything not touch for everything. But you're telling me that these things weren't like in your environment you're in Brooklyn in the Eighties. You'll get into school. What school do they go to? What are you talking about? They went to college like I. I really liked different world because it showed stuff I recognize. You are embarrassing yourself right and it made me want to like look into. Hvac used ain't you ABC because like influenced by that and it made it look dope and you saw all these different perspectives to me. The cosby's didn't give me a bunch of different perspectives. That means you show rainbows. Cut It out. Cut It out because you didn't watch the cosby show. Go sit there and fix your mouth to see some shit like that. This is embarrassing because the cosby show gave you types of walks cockroach they had they had. They had Kenny lived across threes. Always run home member Kenny. But they had so many different episodes of tapped into a lot of things they weren't overtly black like a different world was but they were black they were black without having to yellow in your face and there were black and a fluent and to say so realistic. What's realistic about friends? They have wait. Wait hold on was unrealistic about friends that live in New York and you never saw black people until win. What season for four you w live in New York? You've been having any interaction with black people. I will tell you this. I didn't have a white person at my school growing up in New York Jewish friends. But I grew up in New York and friends of the same way as if you're talking about New York neighborhoods segregation and how. Yes there can be Italian neighborhood. Only you can go months without seeing a black person where they live where they live village. Soho you wouldn't see any black people and so. Is that what you know? You see somebody. Spanish people. There was a lot of Spanish. A good amount of SPAN. So so okay so back. To your cosby show slander. They weren't filmed in New York by the way but yeah continue. Yeah but I mean the premise of the show like a studio lot. Yea Can we also be honest like who is living in? What were they doing to live where they lived in New York? Well tell you this. Because I've watched every episode know every word. Monica got that apartment when her grandma got sick and put in a home and it was rent controlled so in order to not give it up. She moved into that apartment and that's why she was in there and there was one episode was shown we've got kicked out. 'cause name's not on a and then they broke like the trash compactor. Yada Yada Yada doesn't matter so as someone who pays monthly bills on a place that is ranked controlled because my grandmother owned it forever. I knew how much rent costs in a rent controlled place now. Compared to what was that ninety s they were paying pennies for that dough. Pass apartment so I clearly understand how her Rachel who didn't work for like the first two seasons rent control spot. What about the size of my? My Grandma's spot is that exact same size in so walk-in closet two bedrooms now when we were on the water and Brown and so but I understand how much rent control would be there. Yeah we'll I understand that it is possible if it's handed down to you and that is a loophole that people don't understand and when you're young kids from Long Island they were from. Long Island Country Club parents. Yes that those things happen when your family has money and leave stuff to you. So you're saying the cosby show is unrealistic. No I'm saying I didn't. I looked at it at the time. And when I tried to go back and watch it and say Brooklyn that I grew up in. Maybe this was a little bit before I grew up in and Shit was worse before I was growing up in New York to say that. Like your family issues. Like how do you guard from crack epidemics in what was going on in York at the time? How does that not play into your show? But they had family dine. They have family dynamics that all shows must have so yet like the kids will go through this year but it to me was the upmost sunshine and rainbows to show that this type of black family could work on television and it didn't interest in the house sunshine late again again. The fresh prince was more interesting to me because it was less sunshine and rainbows like will had a history of inner city shit that they blended perfectly into an affluent family and that dynamic is what made fresh print. So don't to me is that that it was like Carlton was you know the Poindexter but we'll friend will come from the horror. This will still was having a battle going back and forth like. Is this too much for me? Do I deserve this? Ogle Phil Work came from not that clift in it but these were always aspects built into every show was that dynamic and it kept it more grounded does it wasn't as sunshine is the huxtables. Let's let's go ahead and dissect his real real..

"All right so what's going on bill. Goldberg is in Saudi Arabia wrestling. So he won't be here today and I just got over a cold last week so if I sound a little Off that's why I'll try not to make gross noises into the microphone but I Apologize He. I definitely got some weird gross thing and just loading up on meds and vitamins and Cam and all that well I flew back into. Lax from London and got taken to Like an extra screening room where China just all these people from China being quizzed about why they'd beating China and wherever the lusting China and everything else and I was there in the middle of the room. Yeah that's terrible all right so we got some cool things to talk about by the way. Did you guys see that? Hot Wheels released a one tenth scale remote control. Tesla's cyber truck and it comes with a sticker an optional sticker that which which is it goes on the side glass of your revoke until Control Tesla cyber truck and it's the broken window from cool so if you want your cyber talk with the smashed window from the from the from the press launch it comes with that as well from the chief designer. And they have the small remote-control version as well that goes on the track that one sixty four scale as well but the one tenth version be limited edition. And we've got a picture up there. It's the toy that comes with that. It's a sticker so you could. You could clued the smashed window in their good job. Hot Wheels love that. You thought about a nice definitely going to be one of those events where I was the magnificent now. It's going to be fantastic. Just a little reminder March twenty first is car cast live at Peterson Museum. A brought to you by our friends at Haggerty and JAGS DOT com. We're GONNA be doing a great event. Yeah no go bring your bring your bring your kids bringing the kid. Bring the one kid who knows. I haven't been home. Have you been tickets Adam? Call Commerce Peterson dot org slash car. Cast get some tickets. Excuse me it's going to be one of those days solo show. Yeah going to be one of those days. What's new all sorts of things? I was supposed to be going to Geneva next week. I had to put actually pull out a couple of weeks ago for a little while ago for for for different reasons but as I sit here. Everybody's wondering what's going to happen because these corona I mean for those who don't know Geneva historically was always one of the the biggest auto shows of the year it was kind of premier one in Europe Attended by all the kind of literati globally as an in neutral Switzerland. Yeah I need supposed to happen. The press days next Tuesday and we're all waiting for messages to listings happening on now. I mean it's A. It's a huge deal about the millions literally tens of millions of hundreds of millions that are spent on this and is it. Is it kind of late in the game to cancel it? Yeah I mean I. I was telling you it's going to happen. It's just going to be kind of flop. I I mean we had. We had Alfred Mayo. His happens from time to time manufacturers. Come in and show ladies. 'cause we have a chat meet we we talk about life and what role doing and I am a global head of. Pr was saying. You know we've been told not to travel. So it's it's a big deal. Yeah I wonder how they do that. Do they try to find local representation? The have a team there that they have like a local. Pr Team A little bit smaller team yet. But I guess I don't know I mean he's going to be an interesting show. How much money and how much he's committed. But also if if people on traveling and I think the other concern is people are worried that you're GONNA get quarantined. So you end up in Geneva. I'm going to keep talking. You end up in Geneva and if you imagine all the the world the company execs from all over the world traveling into Geneva and then just ending up being Maroon there. I read that that later this year. We have twenty twenty Olympics in Tokyo. They're saying hey we. We need a contingency plan. We may cancel the Olympics and they said but they need you know. They need minimum three months. They can probably do two months lead way to to cancel it but they can't do four days like like what you're talking about. They can't do five days. Well also big Formula Warm Fun. I used to working for him in the world in days. Gone by and there's a little conversation about which pre happen which wouldn't yeah it's It's interesting times. We're also seeing in terms of vehicle production as well because a lot of parts is not just 'cause made in China but he's also parts supply parts moving around the world so this there's a big impact going on and what's going to be the effect of cancelling Geneva. Is it really gonNA manner not matter? Everyone's going to release their cars. And they're gonNA send out the press kits and and and try to find some other place two like they're still going to announce the cars digital digitally. I mean I I was invited to a bunch of events down the I was going to sit down with the Mercedes. Co The global CEO on the boss of AM G. And we're GONNA have half an hour with with those guys and that's always great for me because she always learned so much a fascinating fascinating individuals as well to be running something that big. You know things like that obviously won't happen but I know a of things that Mercedes showing off and yet I'll do it digital release. You'll you'll be they'll send the images alison press releases and away you go. I think the tough thing I Geneva and also shows generally. New York's beginning of April. Is these things you know. There's a lot of pressure on these shows. Little people pulling out anyway if it doesn't happen than we'll ever happen again and Gordon is. What happens to the you know the credits into the billions? Almost what's actually spent in in in some things well? In all of these companies so many companies are taking a financial hit already. Everybody asks to prepare for factories being shut down obviously in the automotive space but products all around the world that so much is is manufactured in China and now that that Krona viruses is spreading. Everything in automotive is expensive and global. Yeah so anything. That's hit Soglo on a global level like this is going to be a big deal. Yeah I roll up in the accurate annex. I WANNA say new but it. It got sort of a revision this past year a little bit different ero and I think they did. Some adjustments on the suspension and stuff. Have you driven the sex yet? So this is I drove the original Essex. The you know the sort of iconic mateen nine. I think it was many years ago but the latest wanted always passing by always being doing doing something else when everyone was around so I finally got into it the last couple of days. It's a it's a fascinating thing I kind of. I really wouldn't like it. I really want to love it because I like the idea of buying an accuracy because I think it feels. Yeah it's almost like I'm coming out and skiing I don't need. I don't need a fraud. Whatever I'm going to buy an ACURA sex because I know what I like. I don't need to everything else so I rely. I like similar technology but I kind of feel it's almost too clever by half in that Scott the three and a half six two but then on top of that these three electric motors. And there's a lot of really clever tech going on but what actually delivers is is questionable and increasing the. I'm unless no less of a fan of potato well. This isn't the plug in or hybrids. Generally I think these days you you either go all in on the electric light the ticon all stick with a stick with a gas engine light the new cove at something and its own to me. It feels like that choice now and carrying around all this complexity and all this weight and everything else for hybrid just just almost feels like old tech even though it's cutting edge on one level

"Comes in on the podcast, and he breaks balls all the time, but he never breaks by balls on the week. And when he sees me working on the car. This is what you're a them if nobody's working on the car. And it's sitting there collecting dust on the left going gonna understand. But if we're coming in we're getting worked on then he's interested in it, by the way as much as he tries to bash on my Mustang. He's interested in it. He comes in. And he's like, what are you doing? What are you doing? I like this. I like that Kirk, oh, he's a car guy. That's the thing. And the spite what he ran about on his shows vintage cars and race cars and stuff. He's just a car guy. And so I'm working on this car. It's been awhile, but we had slapped sort of everything together quickly and brought it out to the Sema show whatever's year and a half. Half ago, and it barely ran. It was all held together. Doubles the fact that Iran alone as a Sima car puts you ninety percent of the other people go in there, the engine would fire up, but you couldn't fire it up because there's pieces missing. And you know, we had we had a push it around there. And then the tough part wise is. I had some friends work on it for me. And again, they did a great job, but they slapped together very quickly. And by time, we got it to see what we realized that the it's got big bear breaks six piston calipers all four corners. But you have to ship them with these very very thin Shems, and the shins were sort of stacked up on one side. So without hitting the brake pedal, the brake pad was just hitting the road or so when we were trying to push the car across the parking lot to Sima it took like seven guys because the break was on. And we couldn't do anything unless we'd literally took it apart and took the shins out. So we got it to see we showed the car in maga- flows booth outdoors. It was the last car to leave Sima that year every everything else was gone everything else was gone because we couldn't move the car, and it was sitting in like a little like a ditch. And we're it was part. And we had we base out to get like eight people to push it onto a trailer. And then we told at home, and then we when we brought it back here. I started taking the whole thing apart and going through it myself and my goal was I wanted to do sort of period. Correct modifications on the car, keep the original GT forty heads and things like that which I've done, but also do everything myself other than a little bit of like some welding and some things like that some paint stuff. But I'd done everything myself on that car, and that's why it's taking some time. But we're getting there. We're getting there. That's the never ending. Yeah. But when I used to get some cool stuff going on it. Yeah. It's pretty cool. It's come a long way. And it's going to be good, and I've driving this two thousand one m three supercharge all kinds of stuff. I took it in finally get to the the Dino done on it. Get the tune it was running rich. It was down on power. And the guy called me yesterday and said the was fried. So I gotta get another one like that doubles the Bill. So so I have I have I'm not proud of this one Hyundai sonata rental car. So I got here today. This is my first and last car cast is four cores none of run right now. We actually know why you brought me here. Even even even you. Yeah. Well, I have a ninety two alpha male spider. That's getting some worked on. I don't know that you'd fit in it even with the top down till you right now probably can't fit now. Also because at the and the Italians like very like close up like, bent knees. Kind of driving position. So I don't know that you'd know. I'd look like a monkey humping a football. Well, talion football Italian football. All right. Listen, this is what we're gonna. We're going to wrap up this episode, and we'll be back next week. But guys, thanks for listening. It's our first ever second.

"And then this is what he did. He took a little time off. And then went back in and broke it again along with this buddy right next to BMW windshield. I'm a glutton for let's just say, you know, once you're not stroking my ego. But you know, once you're a warrior, you're always one. And I it's just it's ingrained in me. And it's just how I just how I provide. You know, I have to I have to put physical goals in front of me and try to reach him as often as humanly possible. And if you if not you're stagnant, you know, I don't want to be mediocre in anything. No, look, your your wife's tough. She's a sweetheart, but she was a stunt woman. And she's she's fantastic. She's tough gauge I've seen him grow up the past few years. There's the key. Here's the key. Okay. Parenting. Yeah. There's a lot of parents in the last couple of generations that have fallen by the wayside of their responsibility to be actual parents. I the other making up for that. I have this thing called one hundred hundred hundred. Okay. Okay. Oh, you all you parents out there. Listen up air parenting. Tips from Bill pay attention. Okay. Your kids wanna play video games. Yeah. Being a parent. You don't want them to do it. You want to be their best friend. Let them play video games as much as possible. He want to be responsible parent. You try to get a positive out of a negative. Right. So you say she ate your child by letting them play a little bit of video games say twenty minutes, but the play that twenty minutes that child has to do one hundred hundred hundred hundred push ups hundred situps and one hundred push kicks hundred jumping jacks hundred whatever it is pick something. Okay. So then your kid doesn't want to play as many video games. Or if he does wanna play. He's one strong some bitch because there's been times when my son is done three times in one day, sixty minutes. That's an hour on the video game. Right. Yeah. That sucks as a parent. You know, you don't want your kids to be lobotomize for that long period time. But hey, guess what on the other side of that is he did he did three hundred pushups? Three hundred situps tell me eleven year old kid who can do that. Well, I mean, I've been to the batting cages of gauge and I've seen him. So he looks like he's done three hundred shops three hundred sit ups though. So at least he's getting some positive out of the time limit, you know, the type of game and stuff like that. But hey, man, you know, you got to try to meet them in the middle. He is a great kid. He's respectful. He's smart. I remember coming over there. And he asked you if he and I can play some video games together. See it's working on. Puts his head to do. All this. Jobe? I I didn't realize that I was trying to figure out what was going on. But everyone was doing pushups sit ups thought we're gonna play some Forza. But. The precursor. Yeah, they're like, hey, do you wanna play video games? Yeah. All right. Well, it's going to take about an hour before we could actually start a game because we gotta run around the block for awhile bit at work. Well, that's Goldberg parenting tips one on one for our first episode. Yeah. All right. So quick word from dodge the dodge spring sales event is happening now.

"We're just talk thousands of dollars in weeks of work fixing that car smashed the windshield half mile life. I'm sorry. I'm not laughing. This is the way faced. But that's that's that's like the inevitable had. I like, that's what happens, right? It's soon as soon as you get your car washed bird shits on earth. When I get the university of Georgia. I got a Mustang an eighty five Mustang, and it had t tops, and I'd never had a car with. And I thought they were the coolest thing. But I didn't know that you couldn't play with the lock mechanism when you were actually moving. So I pulled in from the dealership to my dorm, and right as I pulled in at speed, I guess the unlocked t top. I watched it shatter my rare view mirror about fifty yards behind hopped on like lots and the hatch, and we could do a whole show just based upon our car just shit. We broke accidentally. All right. So you've got you've got a charger. Hell cat. You've gotta challenger. Hell cat. You've got to demons one's inner bubble one. You're gonna modify the one in the bubble. Did you put the things on the tire that's kinda round? So they don't flat spot the tires. No. But I will there's like little cradles. Yes, sir. Okay. What else? Do you got going on there? I've I saw you building cars on. On a warm and show. Oh, yeah. You know, right now, I've got. Got a ninety nine Dodge Ram. That was my work truck that's up at warms right now, and they're putting a ninety him in. Okay. Is that the one that's all covered in line? X it is. Now, the whole thing. Rhino line, or whatever it is. Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, it's a bad ass truck now. But it's just the motor that three sixty. They came in it isn't capable pull them that big suspension and everything. Yeah. We put the three ninety two in it three to him in. And then he's also got my seventy seventy Khuda six pack four speed car up there. And I'm literally flying up there on Wednesday night and doing a couple up some of their show, and hopefully putting my truck in a trailer and shooting it back down to southern California. So I can stop driving these hell gets every. Okay. But you kind of like the how you got the right? You know, you can't go to Home Depot load of thing up. You know? No. But maybe Wanda will drive you to Home Depot. I wanna hurt trucks. Ain't nobody driving me anywhere. I don't like taking. That's not true. I went your house. We went out for sushi. And I brought like a loner I brought like a Ford f to fifty and wanna drove us to sushi. And then what we got above the hill. She kind of whispered to be goes, she's kind of trucking downhill she like she was all at Ashby wanted to. You know, what you prick? Now, I've got you think. You're welcome. Now. All right. I'll come full circle because I know she fell in love with it. And she had a great time driving it, and yeah, I remember she was Guten down that hill. That's what they're for a big truck to down that hill. He lives up mountain base. Hooked away. So I I've seen this car this next car, and it's one of my favorites in your collection. But again, you know, this whole car cast thing could be nude people. I'm new to your fans and your somewhat new to the car cast found, but tell me about your lawmen, Mustang, man, I just I just went over to the southern California Ford group the Ford. Club. I. I walked over and talk to them about thirty minutes about that car. What year is it? Tonight, eighteen seventy first and foremost you and I and Adam and every other car guy and girl and kid out. There has a connection with one or all of our cars. It's different. Whether it's the smell, the the the sound the feel whatever it is. When you get in that car. That's what you takes you back to certain time. At least that's what does with me, the sentimental value of the car that we're talking about is that three hundred thousand servicemen saw that car in Vietnam during the war back in the early seventies..

"And I just I walked in said hide everybody walked out and our our half later windows smashed class smash tent in the roof, and it's like no other car on the road of come on. This is a shit move. Right. Like, it's such a non car guy move like non-core guy saying lake like, even if you hated me you'd be like, well, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna hurt the car like I'll just tell her when you're dick and then not touch the. Car. So I was just I was devastated that this car was matched. And I looked around obviously couldn't find anybody. So I just I just get in the car, and I'm just wiping glass off the seat. And I just get in fired up. I drive it to the BMW dealer on a Sunday night and just park it out front, and I leave it there because the place was closed glass flying around everything and someone slow it. No, no next day. I call great story. No, no. That's not the worst part of this story. It is the worst part. But there's still a punchline to all thing is I call the dealers. I hey, my car's all screwed up. It's out frontier. Like here. We're wondering that came from. All right. We'll fix it. They fix it takes weeks bodywork paint everything takes weeks. Finally, I go, and I pick it up. I get in it. I started up I pull out of the dealer. I go half a mile away a truck kicks up a rock shatters my windshield. I didn't go half a mile for Shah. I put that shit in reverse you've done shit in your life do because that's karma. Right. Ever since the church on Sundays. I've just been going and just whatever I did I've been trying to make the best of it. I went back even the dealer is like. Charge. You like half price for the like feel so bad. Like,.

"Dodge demons to drive they built them to be driven their track cars and take him to the drag strip like right out of the box. I was not not going to do that with my demon. But I also have to look at the logical side of why of one of the reasons why I got in the car business because it's a business. Okay. So I had to be smart at the same time. So if I get the opportunity to purchase two then I put one away in my new car capsule. Right. Okay. I saw that you Instagram like a bubble. Yeah. Dude. It's great great. Hey, the things are wonderful. I got another one on the way the law man's going in that thing talk about preserving your car. Yeah. I mean, not it's it's a temperature controlled no rodents. No nothing get in there. Yeah. But so I put one in a bubble. Okay. And the other one is project jackhammer man, we're going to the moon with HIV wheels last week magma flow, the list of sponsors is going to grow exponentially. But we're going to take that out and make it a road course car, and I'm gonna drive the doodoo out of it. And I'm gonna have fun. That's what these cars are all about. I like I like this idea. I like taking the demon excuse me, making a kind of a sick, bad ass corner, car a or Kuda. H? How would your back in the day? That's what I wanna do with you already. Have the RT upgrade the forty horsepower. The special key. Whatever the hell it is. Yeah. I did it the other day and thank God for the YouTube videos, because if I was I was an answer way from install at all my own and avoids the warranty, I'll Oh, really. really? Thanks you too. They're not worth sponsors yet. But yeah, I went there, and I looked at the installation video and right at the end of it the guy unders breath Senate. And so yeah. The next day I went to the ship had it all installed, but I gotta get five hundred miles on the car. So okay. I was going to drive it up here today. And thank God. I didn't because the the windshield on the the hell cat charger. Yeah. Eight about a dime size rock right in the middle of it. So I don't know what I would've done if it was the demon. But yeah, it's not so thankful to see. I mean, the truth is if a demon you'd be doing the same thing as you're going to do on the charge of. But I would have really to go do a signing event. So ropy of Ed was horrible. Saw that thing. The last exit before I got to the convince that's the way it is. I had I had a nineteen ninety nine BMW three E thirty six and three. And I was I was I was young. I was running an internet company. It was it was just a big thing for me. It was like I went from like used Ford Explorer to to making some money and having my business was like your baby. And this it straight out of a movie. This is what happens. I went to the Mercedes dealer here in Santa Monica and no lie that guy told me come back with your dad. You're not allowed to test drive any cars, and I said, okay. So I went and bought a BMW. You sound like me. And then I went back to the dealer. I parked it on on Santa Monica boulevard in front of the dealer walked in. And the guy comes over. And he goes. That you're three. Yes. Would you like to trade it? No. Then I just left that was it. That's a true story. But to relate to what you're talking about is I took this car a year or two an ownership. I took this car to some events on party or something in LA. And and this is ninety nine two thousand somewhere around there. And just just somebody just didn't like the car and just smash this shed of it with a bat. Like, I was I was at this hour and a half..

"So it's goodbye jolly Fatman. Hello jelly fast, man. Oh. Sorry. Reindeer Korean for great deals at the dodge big finish event. Based on twenty nine hundred words sport-utility Bickel segment available. They the middle session to segment dodge is a registered trademark of US LLC? say. All right. Welcome to car casting, a math motivator. The andrea. And here with Bill Goldberg. We have to change the new sound for this episode is going to have to be something with more muscle to it. I think instead of one of them's a little little leader. Bill, and I met, oh, I think maybe during garage Mahal. Right. Yeah. So you doing eight years seven eight years ago? I don't know. I try to repress all the stuff that I did back when I was a kid. You know, so young back then. Yeah. It was I think it was garage Mahal, but Brockman produced awesome. You know show except for they really tricked me in the name of it. Because I thought it was all about garages cars and stuff, but it was transforming people's garage is more of a build shows built show that car shell like garage Mahal seems like it's a touring the coolest garages and things like that. But. You would think so well you site into it. And and it came to be a build like over here one time, and it wasn't for that you, and I wouldn't be doing the show we've been we've been friends since and and quite frankly, we've been looking for a project to to do together for a long time. And and I did I did the the G Q magazine car collectors thing we went down to your place, and we had some fun with that. We got a little bit in trouble with the cops that day just a little bit. From for making some noise with your took their Cobra out. Yeah. You know, nothing that an autograph can't handle. What what engine you got nothing? Oh, it's an Ernie Elliott Cup motor back in the day. It's got to be eight hundred horsepower. It's it's north of that. Yeah. It wasn't the tuned at all. And the the story was that he was driving down the runway at their shop. And he was shifted from third fourth hundred forty five miles an hour spun the tires put in the ditch got out and said, it's done. So that's when I took delivery of and you said. They ask you what you wanted in like what kind of vehicle, and you put it in this. This thing possible. I lived in Dawson Ville about two miles from their shop. And you know, Ernie ran their shop Bill wasn't there. All the time. Bill lived in Blair's Ville. Pardon me. And so I got in my car one day, and I drove up the Blairs Ville Bill want to take me for a ride in his Cobra. Chase was about gauges age, and he was in the middle. And I was in the passenger seat. And obviously, you don't know, you know, there's no room whatsoever. Those cars and chase. Obviously. There was no seat belt in the middle chases sitting on the hump. Yeah. And we're just going crazy and my fingers there's an indentation where my fingers are trying to grab the dash because I'm freaked out. And I look over chases. I dunno Tanner Levin, he'd laughing but off. Yeah. And we got back to the shop and Ernie. You know, I'll do my Ernie Elliott impression, but I got out and he gets how'd you like it? I said man that was the craziest most insane Dr I've ever taken. But I want one goes what color you want? I said black. He goes, well, how about this one any pulls up the garage door. And there was my car. So I bought it that day. It's scared me ever since it's a it's a blast. It's fantastic. So we went out. We did this episode of this g q-car collector saying and. We his collection. We've got a good insight into some of his ride. So that was another little thing for us to work on. And we keep going around and trying to find projects that work on like, you know. I'm doing a podcast already. We got Chris locks on the studio again producing. You, and let's here's things like we kicked around TV show ideas and things like that. But there's always other people involved that want to change what we wanna do..

"Nice uganda with half she can have the ass okay all right so some of the some of the rides that you have in your collection let's see what are you got you know what i'd just in the last this is not ladies and gentlemen another dodge commercial except for the fact that i'm a horse power guy in the past twelve months i'd purchased a couple held cats and thankfully i am the new recipient of to dodge demons but that wasn't by design like that sort of almost accidentally came up like you knew you wanted a demon and then the opportunity for two came up and you're like wow i'm going to do it here's a like i need to deem it well i do yeah it was at like i need to know for sure amir who doesn't need to um i want to hail i'm that guy that is that the opposite end of the spectrum of you i don't like to cut cars up okay i don't like to take cars from their original of in old from their original status in an altar them unless the car has already been altered when i purchased it so um if i'm going to do you buy these dodge demons to drive they built them to be driven their track cars had taken another drag strip like right out of the box um i was not not gonna do that with my game it but i also have to look at the logical side of white of one of the reasons why got the car business because it's a business okay so i had to be smart at the same time so if i get the opportunity to purchase two than i put one away in my new car capsule right okay i saw that you instagram like a bubble yes dude it's great great hey the things are wonderful i got another one on the way the law man's going in that thing to talk about preserving your car yeah men not it's it's a temperature controlled no rodents no nothing get in the yeah.
