Anyway, Thank you for coming in. Folks just getting in the car. Now they've been out of the loop, perhaps with the election today, they've been at work. Where do we stand now? Will start nationally. Where are we? Nationally with the presidential race. The racist titan with Joe Biden now having 253 of them needed 270 electoral votes. Most recently, the state of Michigan was called for the Biden campaign. Wisconsin is leaning and the direction of the Biden camp. Nevada is has been leaning, but Biden, but they basically have flipped back the calls on Nevada Arizona. Those tabulations are ongoing. North Carolina is in the president's column. But as absentees and tabulations continue there, there's a possibility of change of outcome, and Georgia continues to be in the president's column, With the lead shrinking as more ballots are counted in Fulton, the cab Cobb and Gwinnett County's in the Net net is the path for the president. 2 to 70. The doors are closing. Heywood need to pick up a majority of the states that our outlying the vice president really only needs two more states and he's over the top, so the path looks much better for Joe Biden. I do think Donald Trump will hang on by the barest margins here in Georgia because even in Fulton County, where he was being beaten three toe won a number of votes left. Don't measure up to 80,000 votes, which is the gap that's left between the vice president the president, so I expect the marginal narrow considerably and may forced the Purdue Ausaf race into a runoff, but that Donald Trump will still hang on to George's electoral college delegates. WSB political analyst Bill Crane, joining us on the market and show Pennsylvania the president Ah has tweeted multiple times up. Pennsylvania. Today we're winning Pennsylvania big with the secretary of state just announced they're millions of balance left to be counted. Where do we stand in Penn's Woods? Currently? Well, you know, as I've kidded a few times today with some degree of seriousness, I think they're still voting in Philadelphia today, so Pennsylvania has a history in close elections of being not only a battleground, but having Problematic tabulation, so the president's campaign is actually suing to stop counting in Pennsylvania and several other states. I do go ahead and forecast that whatever the outcome, this is going to be on Very litigious mess on the back and much worse than we experienced in Florida and the 2000 election. Not that it'll change the outcome. But a lot of lawyers are going to make a lot of money suing various states over the tabulation. Accuracy of absentee ballot counts, recounts. And in Wisconsin, where there is there, less than 1% vote threshold automatic. The president's campaign has gone ahead and triggered and requested a recount of the bounced the balloting in Wisconsin. President Trump has has declared victory just a little while ago he heard vice president Biden not declare victory but confident that they will become victorious. There is definitely a distinction between what the two candidates said the MCA nations of how this plays out going forward. Let's do a little hypothetical game. Let's say Joe Biden gets 2 to 70 and the president doesn't concede and there's there's lawsuits that what what do we What can we expect going forward in that scenario? One wants the Electoral College meets and declares in December, The 12th will know before Then there were his final. But Al Gore did not concede in 2000 after multiple recounts in the Supreme Court weighing and I was there for that inauguration, and that was a pretty chilly Handoff in the White House and on the stage and you know George Bush had to walk past Al Gore Tipper to get to the podium and be sworn in and you know, we survived. There will be a peaceful transition of power. This president As a lot of weaknesses and some strength, but he will not bunker in at the White House and expect the Pentagon to keep him in office. If if he loses this election, it'll probably a painful month or two for him as well as the people around him in the White House, and I expect he won't be much help in the two Senate run off. We may have here in Georgia. But he'll he'll give up the office and move on. There doesn't appear to be anything that we can point to you right now legitimately and call outright fraud. But it does make one nervous. The longer these windows go, North Carolina will accept ballots. Postmarked to Election Day is lays the 13th of November and that window in close election states does create both opportunity and Some degree of interest and fraud. WSB political analyst Bill Crane in the Mark M show, have we heard from Republican leadership whether McCarthy McConnell McConnell's been on the record earlier said there will be a peaceful transfer of power. Have we heard from them? Aside from McConnell's own race about what's going on with the presidential right? I think there's a general I won't say peace, but The blue wave did not occur. The tsunami did not sweep out members in Norridge numbers of the Senate, there was actually a net pick up by Republicans of four members in the House at this point, perhaps more, based on some races that still haven't.

"Here's WSB senior political analyst Bill crane from CSI crane the bad question asked Gwinnett county voters about a contract that was executed August the second thousand eight to provide transit services for the county shall this contract? Be approved. Yes. Or no. The ballot question doesn't mention a one percent sales tax. But a yes. Vote on this referendum would entail Barda contracting winkle net county and taking over draining. Expanding rapidly transit operations and services over the next thirty years across the county just thirty year deal generate about five point five billion dollars one of the biggest impacts fifty miles. A bus rapid transit inside the county doubling traditional bus service and even flex service areas for calling up rides on demand. The main arguments for and against adopting martyred in Gwinnett Bill crane arguments for and against those in favor. Obviously believed that the second largest county in the state with a million people needs to be better linked across the region. You can't get as an example easily for Marietta the county seat in Cobb County. Lawrenceville the county seat you have to go into Atlanta and then back out on Marta or either of their bus systems even make that legwork. The main argument against is that some appeal. They should do it on their own that the penny and the plan is not cleared off on what Gwinnett county citizens will get in. The loudest voices are on the east side of the county where they believe that they'll be waiting forever for light or heavy rail and bus ramp between. For the stand. Miss another objection channel two action. News reporter, Steve Gail Bock has Lawrenceville state Representative Don McLeod, answering one common objection tomorrow. The one big concern with Marta is crime. A remind voters they'll bring their own police force into your action and getting more safety than you are without Marta. You there Bill? Yes. I am. You our senior political analyst had WSB radio and television, and you run your own operation there with CSI crane. Thanks for joining us at the last year. Now, the house oversight committee. This is Elijah Cummings. Same committee that Ran Cohen hearings last week, right? Yes. Representative cummings. Yes from Maryland. Right. So he what exactly has happened here. He is demanding what from the state of Georgia and why information on the Pershing process for voters. At Georgia information on voting machines that were not deployed by the counties and precincts information on the process counties used by which they closed certain precincts and polling places during the two thousand sixteen election year and information on Georgia's registration process collection is at the behest of Stacey Abrams or her campaign. The narrative is Ben Hillary Clinton. I believe is in Kibera where she was last week where she said Stacey Abrams should be the governor of Georgia. Now the same way that she supposedly should should be the president of the United States. Now is was this pushed from Georgia or did it come out of DC? I honestly don't know who pushed the button on a logic coming or with. His staff, but I would say MS Abrahams successfully has sort of weaponized via issue of elections running registration and again allegations of suppression for the twenty twenty cycle. It's one of the reasons she's being recruited to run for the United States Senate. It's one of the reasons he was chosen to give the state of the union address to give her credit she and her organization that they're Georgia project at a comp-. Incredible job of identifying perspective democratic voters who typically don't vote in non presidential election years building a database, adding cell phone number. So they can text them having Email addresses where they had them and just identifying and then turning out whether it be absentee provisional or at early voting on election day at their precinct voters in record numbers who typically would not vote in a presidential election cycle and sheets. She ran a hell of a campaign, and she almost one that that's all legitimate. And I don't raise any. Question on any of that. But what I have seen since. And certainly in the the non concession is an attempt to paint this as a stolen election, which unfortunately, whether we like it or not here in Georgia. I've traveled a good bit abroad in the last several months and all over the country for different business clients. And I keep hearing what a shame about that stolen election. Shame about so at least in terms of how the national media coverage has tainted the perception of the election in two thousand sixteen that stock. How much of that has to do with the house oversight committee asking for this Georgia was among every other southern state under voting rights supervision of the Justice department until I think it was two thousand four two thousand and six dating back the passage of the Civil Rights Act. And now we've talked about this before on the show. There are simple facts that are sort of not in dispute we had a record number of registered voters six point seven five million. We had a quarter of a million voters registered between April and July the primaries. We had record minority participation over the two thousand and eight and two thousand twelve elections that block Obama top the ticket. We had record vote in terms of raw numbers Republican and democratic for the two candidates for governor more than any other gubernatorial candidates had ever had and thanks to the voter page and online doting we saw a significant surge in voter, registration and participation this past cycle for a mid-term election against setting records. So that someone had a scheme to defraud or Keith certain people from voting or suppress for destruction or participation? They did really crappy job. Do you think this will it all the way that I take this as I am outraged by it? I don't get outraged by much if somebody wants to be my governor, if they want to be the next Senator from the state of Georgia, it seems to me that I I believe that that person loves the state and would not drag the state through glass when it wasn't necessary. And I don't think that this is necessary. I don't know that Stacey Abrams is even. Thinking about statewide office anymore. She's probably she's more of a national figure. Now, I was saying earlier if a democrat won in twenty twenty I think she'd be in the administration in some role in twenty twenty one. I can easily see that. Or I can see Mr. Abrahams as a running mate for vice president on the ticket. And I don't disagree with you that she has towards that. If you read her book takes all the way into page three for her to mention she's always dreamed about being in the United States. So I think that's on her radar. I think it's more likely that you'll run again for the US Senate statewide and George in twenty twenty. But again, it depends on how the presidential primaries. Check shakeout she's very close to several of the contenders on the democratic side for the White House. But I I would I would share besides the kind of the sportsman of our reputation statewide, I have a problem with any politician or candidate knows something to not be true. And and the president does this and just continues to say it and say it and say it until it sort of just sorta sticks. So we've got this reputation now nationally, which I think is undeserved running on fair elections there against some facts that need to be put in better play one is that it is the local boards of elections in the local election superintendent, actually ministering. On the elections. The current voting system, which we have in place was funded by the state of Georgia. But the equipment that was selected and all of that happened in two thousand and four when a democrat a friend of mine. Kathy Cox was our secretary of state who ran for governor as secretary of state and nobody did not resign run. She ran for governor as secretary of state. Yes, the windows. XP software by Microsoft was no longer. Serviced after I think two thousand eleven or two thousand and twelve in terms of update, but we have no evidence of a single precinct being act toward results being changed. Yes. There were inconveniences on election day that's going to happen. When you have about four and a half million people doing the same thing in three or four thousand locations across the state. But again, there is no evidence of any elections results being changed so to continue to play this card and talk about racism one other. I'm sorry. I know we're running out of time on the segment absentee ballot applications and absentee ballots themselves, which are there most easily abused. And biggest potential for fraud. There were all sorts of allegations about those and in in particular in DeKalb county where I happened to live. There was an allegation at the county registration on election superintendent was sitting on forty one hundred Donald applications this came from both evens campaign the state party in congressman Johnson. When pressed for names are individuals who are waiting on those ballots. They were given to two names one of whom had already voted in. Then. Sent her absentee ballot. The county did a thorough investigation. The elections office doesn't throw investigation DeKalb county is controlled by a majority minority population has a minority CEO Michael Thurmond is election superintendent has also black. They found no missing absentee ballot applications are balanced. But the bigger point I want to raise it. There's no place on apps and take ballet application or the ballot itself to indicate race. So the only way you would even know if you're attempting to suppress minority vote would beat a manual database. Search once you have absentee ballot application in or the absentee ballot itself had been cast, and that leads an electronic paper trail, and there's no evidence of that happening again. Can you say certain ballots were not processed or applications weren't process? When again, there's no data tobacco. Because in reality. This is about twenty twenty and it's about that narrative, and that campaign how long do we have early voting? It seems like it was three months. I'm sure it wasn't that long weeks. And there are states that are considering having that in early voting is underway right now for the special election for Marta in Gwinnett and city council race in Atlanta in any other place in the state the secretary of state's office does set the election calendar for the year. So those dates are are known in advance. They do train the poll workers through the election superintendent's office and the election superintendents themselves the first week in January every year after the year prior. They get any changes in election law, and he will be getting new election equipment. I'll be trained on next year. I wanna I wanna get to the kind of words that are used the purging of voters now that sounds like it's horrible. But if I decided tomorrow to move to Arizona, I don't get in touch with my voting people and say, hey, by the way, take me off the rolls. I'm moving to Zona I'll be voting there. Now purging is something that has to be done. When people don't vote for how many cycles it is here. But a certain number of cycles if people don't vote you take them off the rolls as a way to. The queens its current laws three years, if you don't vote basically between presidential election cycles at all you're eligible for getting worn minder from your voter election superintendent, are you still there and it's postcard, and if you don't respond to it they in the second postcard. And if you don't respond to that, you purge people die people move minority populations in particular are very transient compared to the general population. So if their address changes, they often move into a different district. There were almost thirty thousand provisional ballots cast on election day in November of two thousand sixteen about twelve thousand of those were determined to be legal. There were people who are voting who were felons. There were people who are voting who were not citizens. They were people who were voting who were not registered. There were people who were voting who were not registered in that county where they cast about or they cast more than one ballot or they weren't registered to vote in another county. So there there are legitimate reasons that people can't cast multiple ballots or have to pick a jurisdiction in which they live for all the local races. You. Don't just vote for governor and technical you never vote for president you in a presidential preference. Primary warn you vote for electors in the electoral college on election day. Yeah, we gotta we gotta run here. But do you agree with this statement that I believe living here?.
