"It was about eight hundred feet and over the years, I've been his grunt assistant, and, and it has metastasized into something like a real house. And that's been one of the great joys. I've always built and was Bill carpenter contractor and stuff like that. And I sort of broken record, which is it, it's not so dissimilar. You think it's a million miles away. It's not making a film making a house fin. Shing something restoring something just the beginning middle end part of it. It's so tangible with building. But I do think you take all of that into your next project. Even if the next project is creative. Yeah, you know, it's funny I, I, I will admit something though, which is that in the beginning this notion of trying to perfect something was very important, and it's a trap, because this is a medium that's dictated by time and money and compromise. Because inevitably you're gonna have to your work won't be as good or you won't have the someone else's will will in some way not live up to your expectations. And I think it's really about the struggle of creating rather than some belief in the, the absolute perfection of the of the vision. In fact, it's a little bit about opening yourself to the creativity of other people, and of the improvisation of things. That happened because it is a living thing. It's different than house. It's made up of other people's intentions and their contributions. It is collaborative in a way that it's not just like a, you know, a painter or sculptor. Well, let's talk about the process, a little on through a little name dropping and I forgot to bring up Shakespeare in love another great film that evergreen because doesn't take place in nineteen eighty six I was talking to my friend, Chris Morgan, whose neighborhood guy, where I live, and he does all those fast and furious movies and everything else, and he was telling me about how bird box on Netflix had such a crazy success, a totally unexpected success. And, and he had a Taraq. There was a female director. But anyway, he was like a producer and he kept kinda going up going. Hey, shouldn't we do it more like this because he was trying to do it a little more like fast and furious? And yet sort of a different take on it. And he just kept kind of killing don't, we wanna do this a little bigger and this a little a little more and she's like nine I know what I'm doing. And then he went she knew what she was doing. I'm glad she didn't listen to me what you don't hear from many people, but it works. Oftentimes was successful people when she knew better. Right. So how much? And how do you do that? When you're a producer versus a director because if you're a producer, and you're just a producer, you've never directed. It's harder to sort of be a back seat driver, even though plenty of people have tried, but I mean, you have done a lot of directing a lot of writing, whatever is it. Sure. Is it hard not to go put your stink on something? Well, I think it's not that you smell two answers. One is, I think the best experience I ever had. At least the most successful was Steven Soderbergh. We did a movie called traffic..

This panhandling problem under control so there apparently are to. Existing, state, laws that actually you can use in your towns and cities If you want to. Stop panhandling one of them finds those who solicit stopped vehicles so technically if you're in your car You're at a stop sign a traffic. Light whatever it may be you're trying to merge onto the ninety on ninety three or ninety five or whatever, it is and somebody is panhandling and asking you for money. Or knocking on your windows or whatever that is actually illegal that is illegal and they should be find. On the spot and hopefully the mayors are going to start. Encouraging like in Brockton for the police to start. Finding panhandlers, but there's also something else Some of them can actually be arrested this is. Under section one twenty which allows for the arrest of panhandlers who are believed to be trespassing when they. Have been ordered not to If there. For example, panhandling at market basket or at a stop and shop or wherever it is and they've been told we don't want. You, here anymore we're considering trespassing and not a. Customer in fact you're a costing your harassing, our customers if they show up. Again that is considered trespassing and they can be arrested well the Brockton mayor has now said enough's enough panhandlers are gonna get. Fined and in, particular some of them the most notorious. We are going to handcuff from arrest them for trespassing on property on property that they've been told they can't trust pass on and, in particular They're. Really going after one guy I mean there's, about a dozen of them that. Are really out of control in Brockton but they're going after one guy in particular all Snyder Oliver. Snyder according to the mayor mayor Bill carpenter He's, called the, most notorious. Panhandler in the entire city, of Boston He's been around for years he's relentless according to the mirror and so the problem now, in Brockton I kid you not is that because of. This guy Oliver Snyder and other panhandlers they're killing businesses in Brockton They're literally driving customers away from businesses and, away from the city of of Brockton. They will harass people they will tell people the flip him the, bird will Tom to blank off if. They don't, give them the money that they ask. For their aggressive they're threatening to get in your face. They bother you when you. Go into a business or an..
