"Numbers under Obama that were similar to the employment numbers are seeing now although we're seeing lower numbers now than even under Obama. But those numbers were fake. And there were faked because of how they're calculated you take the initial pool of people in the workforce as the percentage of people who actually have jobs that are participating, and then you come up with that number. If you include everybody as a whole the work that those working in this country under under Trump through the roof their payrolls are higher. We're saying when they predict one hundred eighty thousand new jobs, we're getting to sixty per month. It's just crazy how good it's going. Yeah. We're focusing on. Hey, Bill bars. Aligarh? Obstruction of production happened. Get some idiot Cohen in has representatives fried chicken. Thought it was funny. They're unhinged. They're just a little nuts. So I say the economy is important. What's interesting is? I don't think that a lot of you walk around during the day saying many Comey, really rocks. I hope that you're noticing. How good it is right now. It's a big deal. Let me go to Angie in Washington as what's going on. Hi. Hi, you're on the air which happened. Hey, joe. I watched it firsthand. I work at a manufacturing plant, and I've seen it from people getting walked out of the door to people walking in door or almost overloaded. I've had more money in my Bank account than I hadn't a while. Standing people vote with their Bank accounts. I think what do you say? Well, they do. But here's the interesting thing. When I bring up the economy almost nobody comments on it. It's almost that. They don't notice it. If I bring a Bill borough Russia collusion or fill in the blank political issue. The phones melt down, so I hope that people are paying attention. Like, you are like I am n g got much. Sure that they are. I hope that they are. Because this is yes. What's going on? I mean. Hard to explain, but I'm happy my Bank account. Pappy my words, happy. I'm with you. And that's and that's the goal edgy. Thank you know. That's the goal. That's the way it should be people should realize that things are getting better. But my fear is tell you this way. I live in Texas. We have low taxes in Texas when it comes to there's no state income tax other taxes are lower gas prices are lower here property taxes, however on the rise, and that's not good. And that's a continuing trend. I've got a problem with that. So. The reason why things are turning in Texas a little bit slowly. But surely. Because people coming from California and the coming from Illinois, they're coming from New York. And they're saying I can't stay in California, Illinois, New York because the taxes are too high. Let me go somewhere where the taxes are lower and I can afford to live better than they moved to Texas. Good trauma that oh it is. They bring their politics with them. And they start voting for people who are raising taxes who are hurting the economy who are turning things the wrong way and making things like the are in California, Illinois and New York. I have an idea stay your ass in those states. That's those are the policies you want. If that's the tax ation, you want stay there. No reason to go to a low tax state, and then bring your politics. You must realize that your politics are why the states you're leaving suck. And I mean that the people in the states, they don't or the geography states suck. They don't they're beautiful states. But the politics and the governments in these states, really. Suck. And they suck because you keep on voting them in. So you leave those states moved to Texas star voting a bunch of lefties in and then the left he's all raise regulations control and taxes and these talents going on. Why am I going up? Why can I afford insurance anymore? Why our gas prices for the roof because you're brought your politics with you. Same sort of thing here. I need people to focus on the economy uneviable to focus on the positive things that are happening. I need things. People to focus on on things. Other than an idiot eating fried chicken in congress saying the Bill bars too chicken to go testify to the house or something. That's just stupid or Ilan Omar hating on on Israel again or Qazi Cortez talking about how great socialism is that needs to be Nord, and what need to focus on are the positive things that are happening and our economy is that positive one eight hundred five zero one seventy eighty joepags dot com. "You look at this. And you say aha see this shows that the bureau was out to get the campaign. But if you're the FBI, you would say, look, this is a good thing this prevented the operation from going awry and from going too far. I just I I'm hearing that you believe he said that what up ration- operation Jewish popadopoulos is unpaid farm Posey advisor. Quarter page doesn't know what the heck happened him. He's also involved in this whole thing right now people were seeing ghosts at one of the best things that's been said about all this if the bureau had reasonable and and CHAI factually based concerns Bryant, they should have gone to the campaign. This is the nominee Benami needed by the party of ABRAHAM LINCOLN. And Ronald Reagan you go to governor Christie you go to mayor Giuliani. They were playing different roles at the time. But just say, hey, we have real concerns. You may have some rogues operating under the Kansas state. Yeah. You need to know this Governor, Chris you need to know what we're concerned about and action would have been taken, you know, they would have gotten to the bottom of it. And now here it is two years plus later, and we're suffering from the fact that the FBI took on it suffer the FBI leadership took on itself. A really rogue what appears to be a rogue project Bill bar. Due wednesday. I thought he was excellent in. He was firm. I thought he was polite supposedly some said, oh, he was blowing the Senator off center Blumenthal, and so forth. But I thought he stood his ground. Absolutely, honest straight. He's a straight shooter. He's extremely smart. And here's here's the thing as experiences. Jeff Sessions was in Washington DC Bill bar has been serving the executive branch, and he's a custom to these wars between congress and the executive branch. There's always going to be struggles. But this is war. Now, there's been declared. I think not just by the house, but by the Senate Judiciary committee, Democrats, so Ken Starr, say thought he did very well guess who didn't Nancy Pelosi. Listen, how she described which he heard cut eighteen to congress. He lied to congress and anybody else did that would be considered a crime. Nobody is above the law. Not the president of the United States and not the. Attorney general. So he lied to congress because he didn't mention that. Bob Muller was unhappy with his four-page underlying conclusions of the investigation when we hear what no bar says that it's not staff say there's been a real squabble over extremely minor details, but here's what I think Bill bar needs to do. So free advice. Go out right now, get out of congress that is to say don't just allow even friendly members to guide the conversation. Go out and tell now your side of the story major speech from beginning to end in terms of the relationship with Bob Muller. I think he can also reflect on the nast in us the inevitable nationals Brian of having a special council investigation to begin with. And I say this as someone who was under the old regime. The statute appointed by judges. But now. Now, we see even a special counsel whose appointed by the attorney general than acting attorney general the whole process is just fraught with potential mischief and chickens are once again coming home to roost. Lastly Bob Muller has now in negotiations to come to Capitol Hill. So we're going to see another major shell like even maybe even bigger than Wednesday. You know, Bob Muller. The word is he's lost his fastball that he was not really in charges investigation. What happens on we've got four hundred thirty four pages. What else could he do? Well, I very disappointed in Bob Muller. I think he has not served the country. Well, he's not serve the law. Well, and he certainly I think backs stabbed Bill bar in the back with the leak of this letter. When again from everything that we know Bill bar when he finds out that there is concerned the March twenty seven letter. He picks up the phone and says wants zero so here, here's the irony. The March twenty fourth big letter to congress setting forth, the conclusions is exactly what the regulations called on Bill bar to do. That's so ironic. He's doing what he's supposed to do. He quotes from as we know the most provocative part of the Muller report par to that says, this doesn't exonerate the president first of all I think that's an appropriate thing to say for prosecutor to begin with. But Bill borough wasn't highly inappropriate because it goes without saying we prosecutors don't exonerate. They just decided to move forward or not move forward. Right. And exactly right. That's the prosecutorial role. And this is part of the mischief of this whole special counsel apparatus with writing a report. Right. Four hundred and forty six pages. I mean, this is extraordinarily. I just don't know what he's going to add one on one. But they'll just be able to have the sound bites for those who don't want to read the actual story. Ken starr? Thanks so much. His book contempt. You'll find out how tough it was for him. And with the Clintons were doing to him to on more of the Clinton investigation can store. Thanks so much. Thank you, Brian. We come back going to be joined by one of the greatest foreign policy minds. We have out there right now, Admiral, James Stavridis. Well, not only talk about our challenges overseas. And if China is indeed a threat because Joe Biden seems to be on the fence on that. Okay. He doesn't think it what we do. Next adminis-. "We're the eighteenth big and the two thousand nineteen draft the Minnesota Vikings select Garrett bradberry center, North Carolina State. Boy, somebody's really happy about Gary bradberry being taken by the Minnesota Vikings there in Nashville as we go to the podium there. We're at energy stadium hair. Marc vandermeer. I'm very weird. John Harris, Robert Hensley and the Texans. None of the clock. But the titans are followed by the Broncos Seahawks. Ravens and then Houston. So we'll find out what the titans do next bradberry though, listed here as a center interior linemen. Johnny your thoughts bradberry. Red berry went to NC state as a tight end converted over defensive line. It's he stayed coaches. Went to said, look, we need a Senator who said I wanna get on field. I'll play Senator he can play guard needed to. But he's maybe the best zone blocking Senate that you've seen Assam at the senior bowl, and he was complete toll. Do he is a ballpark? They'll probably move. Pat L flight over to guard and the bradberry play center, but either way L fine bradberry. L finding play Ohio State bradberry. NC state they'll play center guard vinegar. What combination blinded? You got a little bit of Ryan Kelly in terms of getting the second level air in. The locks on the second level guy. That has tremendous quickness inside good strength is a good player. That's a good pick for yet for Minnesota. Yeah. They had to protect the eighty four million dollars. And that's what that picked the pick. Is that dick was saying her cousins are guy. We've put a lot of money in you. Now, we're going to give every opportunity to stand up right off the line and see what you really made. Okay, Garrett bradberry. Let's hear more about him with our player profile. And then Jared bradberry center NC state brand berry joined the wolf pack as tight end he spent some time on the D line then transition to guard and then center playing fifty games and starting thirty nine he lacks ideal size and strength. So he wins battles with Judy and leverage. Ran various quick off the line and can do damage on the second level. He's best suited free zone blocking team. Well, there it is second level. Very well. Did you write the profile? My gosh by the titans pick is in nineteenth overall Tennessee at a winning season, but anon- playoff season from do a two tenths yet. Doll doll try to ruin our party as the type fans are going, by the way. They have a lot of titans fans, obviously Nashville, so they're showing them. And that's a good thing for the television part of this whole experience. And it's such a smart thing to move the draft around you want to know what the reaction is. But this is my point about the here. Let's go to the podium. Thirteen highschool football captain from teams across Nashville. These teams represent metro Nashville public and private schools in Davidson county. They also exemplify commitment to team and community. Please welcome your local high school student athlete. Look at that. You're on the right from bills borough fitness seven added dude out of the room and they're going to draft him. He wasn't getting recruited. He is being herded. Now. 'cause I'm sure a lot of coaches in nineteen NFL draft the Tennessee titans. Select Jeffrey Symon defensive tackle, Mississippi think. Oh, oh my God. Well, we thought he would get a while ago. He was there. So they grabbed the best player available. I think so there's no question. I think I had a number four and a Harris one hundred and how he is a I think that reaction John is he's in the division. Yup. Kind of reaction. Yep. He's at his wisely year, you'll see Jeffrey Simmons, and he plays with his hair on fire. And he is at on. I saw him. I saw him as game. And I mean, he's got legs like Earl Campbell's. I mean, he's three hundred one to move. He's got legs like candies massive. Now, he had an incident before he went to Mississippi State where there was a there was an assault. And he had he had. Count for that. But he was a model citizen and Mississippi State, then he had a shelter. So we may not see him. Well, I take it back. We don't play Tennessee till the end of the year. Yeah. So we might see Jefferson's this year. Now, there's don't know for sure, but this is a pick more so for twenty twenty beyond but they just got a top three top four drafted nineteen who's half awaiting years until they can get there. We were talking about this earlier today. This thing about all the defensive linemen that have come out of Mississippi State in the last couple of years swit- that's in this draft along with Simmons talking Fletcher Cox and so on her own for Jones. There's a big big list of defensive lineman being produced a Mississippi State big time players. Okay. So now, we have the Broncos and Robert would he have and the pick is apparently in for the Broncos, you know, how much Joe flacco actually throw to tight ends. They're gonna take the second tied in out of out of Iowa. In this first round Noah fan. All right, guys. We're looking at no fan going to two. So you got the Seahawks a raven and had the Seahawks have left tackle Brown. We've heard of who ravens have to tackles. So we're looking good. You're telling me this is saying that where you left tower may share in that space where you don't have to give up a lot tonight up a spot or to to make sure you get your. Yeah. If that if Dillard is indeed. Well, here what they're thinking about, you know, downstairs in the war room. You worry about somebody behind you. Because if I'm art and on the Seahawks ravens, I'm saying. Hey, Houston, solid side. Dismantled harm hollering rubbing take Diller wanna give us together spot. Yeah. Let's let's let's go. And who knows I mean, that's what I'd love to know about the draft that conversations that take place of things that don't happen. Right offers that are made that are rejected. Things like either loved to know all of this stuff, and you hear some murmurs. But you'd love to know the whole reality of it because it would be fascinating trompe. All right. So the Broncos apparently made their pick according to Robert Hensley, then it's the Seahawks ravens and the Houston Texans. We're gonna keep it right here for just a couple of minutes. Don't want to be late on the Texas pick. Of course want to be on the air for a long time. And we'll have the pick on the air with us moments after their selected. That's how we roll here on Texas draft live. So it'll be very exciting as we are at nine twenty six central and our stage area getting more crowded. I'm going to say right now. This could be a record tonight. A people around our radio stage. It was huge in two thousand fourteen as it was the first pick of the draft. Everyone knew who it was. But there was the monumental excitement. As the party was here, the one hundred level for the first time in Texas trap party history. And I wrote an article about it on Houston, Texas dot com, by the way. Now they react to logo being shown on the monitor because away are coming up pretty soon. Here Broncos not official yet. Then the hawks ravens and Texans. So we'll take our break here and come back and we'll hold it till the Texans make their selection on Texans draft live. Back to the draft in a moment on Texas radio..

I've got three four hundred kids outside of my front door here in my property making a huge amount of noise making a racket my upstairs tenant, which my livelihood is dependent on moved out because of all the problems that I'm having here. They put garbage out every night. On three nights a week. The rats are eating through the garbage bags the garbage is spilling all over the streets. They have a gymnasium behind my building. Their Norway's is amplifying up through my house. It's a disaster. I was never contacted by anyone and here, I am just in a huge mass charter school just with respect to all a Puerto Rican listeners. I know it's split equa-. But with respect to the charter school. That's that's a public school may or do you have control over that we have control over every public school and and charter schools fall under that rubric because well, Ron first of all please give you information to the folks at WNYC we can follow up. I certainly you've painted a very vivid picture, and I'm sorry that you've gone through all this on. We've got to figure out what we could do. Obviously, there's a huge demand for school space and number. Neighborhoods. That's one of our challenges. But we do have to be real sensitive to neighbors and the garbage problem that you described for example is something on certain can be addressed. Let's see we have to see what we can do about noise, problems, etc. Those are all really fair concern. So I would like to follow up. Give them finished up. NYC all have folks at the partner -education and department of sanitation figure out right away. What we can do to improve the situation Ron will take that contact information right now, hang on. And you'll talk to a producer Jason in Brooklyn. You're on WNYC with the mayor. Hello jason. Hi, thanks for taking my call. Thank you for taking the time to do this show. Today's my question is about climate change as car congestion in New York City as I'm sure you're aware out at pretty damning report about climate change. And how it's going to be much sooner than initially thought. And how York's in reading it doesn't seem to be taking any immediate action. My office is in the financial district, which is just crippled by.

"Best narrative feature best documentary feature best narrative short, best documentary, short, best animated, short and Georgia film award distinctions. He know what I'm glad that you focused on the south this week, even though it's a slightly different region. We've been hearing a lot on the news here in the US about the hurricane that's headed toward South Carolina region. North Carolina, South Carolina. And so one wish all of our listeners out there. Good luck barrel down. Sean. That's right. Are director of brand partnerships, Sean bills, borough lives in North Carolina. So yeah, we're just wishing you you all the best down there. Stay safe. And now for we'll, we'll we'll we'll weekly words. I've been working. All right. Shoutout soggy, your weekly, where it's. Could top later. I I'll have to do it on the spot. But so last week, the Toronto international film festivals going on, of course. And last week I spoke with directors, Adam Stein and Zach lapaz sqi about their new feature which is called freaks, which is no relation to the film from the nineteen thirties, it's a film that debuted in the discovery section of tiff last weekend and the film just sold to weld go USA for ported two million dollars. And so I'm currently requesting a follow up interview to demand a cut of those profits because the injury was so good. I'm sure the directing duo will next direct a live action version of the preteen Disney hit Kim possible. If you remember that animates series from the early two, thousands, thousands, that'll be a live action movie that they're gonna direct necks. So look out for that sometime next year or in twenty twenty. So I had asked adamant Zak about their successful professional partnership. They actually met us contestants competing against each other on Steven Spielberg's TV series on the lot, which was maybe about a decade ago and. I also asked why it's beneficial to have two voices at the head of production. Adam Stein told me quote, I'd say there are challenges to it and there are beautiful rewards as well. I think Zack and I have really done a lot of work between us to figure out how to balance those responsibilities and listen to each other because we think the biggest reward comes from having someone to keep you honest and keeps project as good as it can be. When there's a problem with the script or shot or an edit, and you're only one person you can sometimes convince yourself that somethings working even when it isn't like, oh, I just wrote that scene. It's pretty good, I think. Yeah, that's good enough. It'll it's great to have that second person who was candid and honest. And if you're the first person who felt that scene was pretty good to be able to lose your ego, so you can really listen and say, you know what? If he's thinking that this isn't working well, I'd better listen together that is really lead to a final product that we think is much better than what we have done ourselves. We really honed in on the gauntlet of the two of us looking at each thing with very careful is. And so it's interesting they go on in the interview to talk about how they were frustrated. They were working in like a lot of post production work in wanted to make features for refrigerated, not gain opportunities. So they took a long walk towns. Actually, very CEO typically romantic, I guess, but a long walk in came up with this idea for free which they wrote over, I believe, three days. And obviously the main drafts after that. But they made it something. Now let's turn to a feature. They've got this Disney deal that just sold this one last weekend and their partnership is going to continue. It seems like even speaking to them that they do have a strong friendship, but also trust in that professional relationship, which is true. You're not always going to benefit by having so many voices in the in the kitchen if you will, but having one that you can trust that's also your co-director, seems like a valid partnership to have and it's worked out well for them. So for. I'm glad to have a trusting partnership with you, Eric. Oh, thank you very much. I.
