"And will end up probably being the best ever to play Etienne Bloomingdale, You're on ESPN 1000 ft. What's up, guys? How are you? We're good. What's up? Hey, You know what? So first off, I'm a huge Tom Brady offensive. Go Buck. Sunday. Um, that said, I was a big Buffalo bill stand in the nineties, but I think they would be considered a dynasty even though they lost going to four Super Bowls in a row and Being a very dominant team in the nineties. I mean, that's I think that's a dynasty. No. Yeah, having to go on to all of the ones that they went to but losing them. Oh, but look, buffaloes in the conversation. I'm with you, 80. Those bills seems, are great. I mean, just how they did in those playoffs. I mean, they just Dominated over the other teams, and I mean I mean and look who they beat to get there, and it sucks that they lost. But going before I think that's pretty huge. Yeah, I know, And that's a good point. And I the other thing that I think of from the early nineties is that You had three or four teams, all weaving together their timelines who are all great, all time teams, you know, like, Sometimes we go through a couple of years in NFL history where you get a bunch of duds. You get a bunch of like in the moment your legal There's a great Super Bowl. But like when you look back on it, it really has no meaning. The history of the league. But in there all the early nineties. Not only did you have the Cowboys and the Buffalo bills and bills going toe four straight Super Bowls, then it weaves into the 40 Niners. Was Steve Young at the home back into the Cowboys into the far Vera and then the end of the Elway run. Like that's a pretty pretty cool kind of set of teams that we're all competing at the same time in the National Football League, all competing against each other. Yeah, And I also look, I'm looking at the history to like the fact that San Francisco went to so many that the 40 Niners went to so many in the eighties on band like the late eighties, too, but they're run kind of started in 82 when they beat Cincinnati 26 21 in 1982 that 1981 season. If they would have been closer together. You might have said that they were the dynasty then, but they were the best team through most of that decade, if not for the Bears. Oh, yeah, you know, and the Bears should have been, ah, lot better, right? And And that's why I like the history of the league. I find it is important Spawn, and it's Super Bowl weeks. It was important to look back on Jeff in Palestine. You're on ESPN. 1000 stop, Jeff. How are you? We're good. You know when you're talking about is Brady the dynasty or the Patriots? I think you got to remember Brady was drafted in what the sixth round correct. Brady was six rounder. Yeah. Yeah, Okay, So let's be real. There's a chance Tom Brady could not even be playing in the NFL. Without Bill Bala Jack. So again. Yes, Tom Brady is is great can take it away from him. But you have to remember what he's doing in Tampa is because of Bill Bella check. In the Patriots way as everything he learned. I mean, there's a chance. Really think about this 1/6 round pick it. Bill Belichick does not draft Tom Brady. And he goes to the Bears. He goes to the lion. Is Tom Brady. Tom Brady. Zero chair. Well, I don't know about. I don't know if we could go back in time and play that out That way. I would say this. I think, Jeff, are you saying the league hasn't changed in the last 10 years? Of course, the leaves. Change s so So, like I give credit to the Bella check absolutely there early, But I think at the end of the run for the Patriots, I had more to do with Brady and his greatness. They did Bella check. But but that's balletic Bella Bella checks teaching to him. I like it. I don't. I don't think so. Because again, Tom Brady is a system quarterback doesn't have the biggest arm like Again. The place are called right for him. It's just hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Great. Brady Brady is not a system. Quarterback. Brady is not a system quarterback. Wait. Do you think that Tom Brady can just go into any offense and it would work? Yeah, it's called. It's called Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday. Yeah, actually just happened this year in a pandemic. Like Brady legitimately went to a different team with that just completely random, new offense and mastered it, and now they're in the Super Bowl with a chance to beat my homes like that's that's 100% shaky at first, exactly is happening right now. Was it shaky at first Did they did they lose to the Bears, but he also followed the same path. As the Patriots storyline does every single year all this is it. Oh, this place done it, and it's like a weight during the Super Bowl again. OK, Tom Brady, by the way, see.

"I I would be more willing to just back up the Brinks truck of picks and money for a guy like Watson that has more upside, um or unknown than than the known in a Stafford in Orion. Um Jared Golf now, you know, just a few years removed from the Super Bowl. And this is why this offseason gonna be crazy in the NFL fans. We're gonna lose our minds because it's just gonna be like what? Who went where he got traded But golf. You know you look, it is his touchdown passes and you go Okay since being picked first overall since 20 1617 he's 55 picks. Um 69 career regular season games in a couple of Pro Bowls. Problem is Tyler in the playoffs. He's not being good. So now there are rumors about golf and the Rams entertaining ideas about trading Jared Golf. Which is going to be difficult given that cap hit and the Rams are there. They're doing their part. I mean, they're making it very clear and they have been for a while that they're not that happy with your dog. They would like to move on from Jared Dogs, but you're given the market and given the quarterbacks that are kind of be available. The trade free agency, the draft I'm not so sure Team's gonna be in a rush to take that money. And you know what shocks me with that whole situation. Is Cha McVeigh. And unless the state I mean they're they're rhetoric out of it is Is pretty shocking. I mean, I don't know. Like I get it the graces genius. He's a genius like cutting that you better but maybe not like they made me E. He was embarrassed in the Super Bowl. By Bill Bala checks they couldn't move the ball. I mean, they came out and it was like they were living in their huddle. And what was the reaction to that? I I've heard that, you know, Defensive players air calling out their plays, you know, before the snap. Um that's an indictment of big data was an indictment of Jericho off You branded cooks was such an important chest piece in that offense. You lose him. Got girly move on from him. I don't know, like I'm not so sure that we should all just point the finger at the quarterback and your golf and say is terrible In the days of genius like I know that's what we're trained to think and social media. But I think we do have to kind of re frame that narrative in that argument. Wonder Okay. Maybe Chama today. Isn't that brilliant genius that we all thought he was? Because for some reason, all these players he had there either pushing them out or they're just not there anymore. And yeah, they're not. They're not the same juggernaut they once were. Tyler down our guest guys at CBS Sports Radio Karl Dixon today Tyler again creative go long tv dot com. So who got the best coaching high? Let let's let's write these coaching hires. Okay, um, in your opinion. Where where we start, We start with the Jets. Okay, they get Robert solid. And you know, he was a guy the interview for a variety of jobs. I just think the Jets culture has been bad. And even though solid might be the right guy. Is the front office going to act, right? Is the front office gonna do their part? To turn this thing around. That's a really bad situation there. I mean, you do wonder if is a coach. Any coat really going to be able to step in there and fix what's wrong? I don't I don't think so. I don't even always start. You gotta figure out what she what you got in Sam. Donald. What you're gonna do a quarterback? I mean, I kind of jumped the gun. I guess the one coach fire that I love And at first I didn't because not a lot of college coaches have made that leap and been successful. But Urban Meyer in Jacksonville, Man. I mean, That's what a situation to walk into with that with that money to spend with those picks Trevor Laurence. They've got some young talent they really do. James Robinson DJs shark. Josh, Alan and G End on the other side of the ball that they've got some pieces and CJ Anderson the corner. I feel like if a former college coat Can make the leap from, you know, controlling the program and being like a father to kids to know coaching adults. It's a weird transition that not a lot. A lot of guys can make, you know. Look at next seven in Miami, Billy Urban Meyer can do it because The situation he's inherited. It is man. I didn't ask for a better situation s. So I guess you didn't like the Dan Campbell. We're gonna but your kneecaps off and kick you in the ankles. You didn't like that. I I loved it. I loved. You know what it's one of those is like nothing else. Get yourself your water. It's just, you know, it's got punching. You need flapping your knee. It's amazing, but then Your head coach and your maybe you don't love it as much anymore, Tyler, Man Appreciate you stopping by today. Good stuff. It's gonna be a lot of fun Super Bowl next week. We'll keep an eye out on what's going on all off season and make sure you follow him. Tyler, don't appreciate you coming on, man. Thanks so much for having me anytime. Absolutely. Hey, Quick reminder..

"Not in line with the president or his politics. Bit. Basically, they're going to write off Bella check. They will never think of him the same yada yada yada. Now look. What went down. Earlier this week. While Sunday's the beginning what went down last week in Washington, D. C is reprehensible. And to me, it is the equivalent of those when the protests started, who were just lighting things on fire? Okay, this is a little more serious because it is storming the Capitol. There's a lot of different ways that we can parse that out. And politically. You may not agree with Donald Trump. Morally and ethically. You may not agree with Donald Trump. But when I see stuff like this from Bob Ryan Who's a great friend of mine. A great friend of mine. I've known Bob for. Bob has been one of the nicest people to me in the business, and he's not a huge fan of sports talk radio. He tweeted. If this story about Bill Belichick, accepting the Medal of Freedom from the disgraced occupant of the White House is true. He's dead. To me saying Ain't so, Bill. I sincerely hope this is fake news. Charlie Pierce, noted writer author Dear coach Bela Chick. This is one of those times. You don't get many moral and ethical choices that air this clear. Turn down the damn metal. It's the mark of bleeping cane. And you keep scrolling down and just looking at all of these people. Who are on Twitter. You know, even Jake tapper. A timeline of Patriots scandals, Spy Gate, the Flake Gate and other controversial incidents under Bill Belichick. Jake Freaking Tapper, a guy who works for CNN. And on and on and on people that I that I know in the Boston media people that I know in the national media all this stuff So now it's turning into My politics. Good or allow me. To judge you, Bill Bella check If you go through with this And you take the presidential Medal of freedom. Now, Um, First of all, I think that's really pushing. That's really pushing your values on someone like Bill Belichick. But You know, it's really tough because How How do you say no to a sitting president? I mean seriously. How There are ways in which athletes have objected in going to the White House for what is In reality, a useless ceremony. It's nothing more than gaga for the organization to be able to go have the big picture. To be able to use in the stadium or whatever part of the marketing all that kind of stuff. You know, it's it is a part of It is a part of American sports where you do get that old invite to the White House. There After you win a championship, and players can choose to go or not to go. This is a little different because it is the top dog who is saying I want to give you this award and it's an award. That means a lot to a lot of people in our country. And here's the thing about Bill Bala check. We know that he has great ties to the Naval Academy. We know that Bill Bella check. Has Spoken up. For the military before. We know the Bill Bell checks Father had a big history going back to the Naval Academy. So for Bill Belichick there, regardless of how you may feel about it, or how those on Twitter may feel about it, and how even I may personally feel about Donald Trump. I'm gonna judge Bill Belichick because of my political views in getting an award like this, And this is a guy whose life In football. Is tied in, threw in some way, shape or form one of our military academies. Bill Belichick has spoken very fondly about that over the years, so he understands the sense of government in all of this. I think personally. It is really sad that we have a lot of people in this country who now are going to look at someone and say We understand why you're being honored. But we don't like the guy honoring you. So now we don't like you. Again. We're told by both sides of the political parties in this country that the vote should be counted and the people should be heard and everyone should be respected. That is until you decide to do something that goes against my moral political leanings. And then I'm going toe. Push that on you and judge you unfairly because of it. I don't think this is a moral or ethical dilemma. Bill Belichick has every right to go accept an award from the president of the United States as flawed as that person, maybe. And I think it's really crappy. That people would think less of him. Because what they want him to do in their mind is be disrespectful to the office by saying No and again, Bill Belichick has been about structure protocol. His father worked at the Naval Academy. He's got ties to the Naval Academy. It's something that he takes very seriously and has So basically, it's going to be you're going to you're scum. Because you go hang out with a guy that I think is scum. And whether he's deserving of this award or not. This award does feel fluffy, but still it is something that a lot of people put stock in. And it's just really crappy to me that ah lot of the same people who want discussion ah, lot of the same people, especially on social media. Who want things to be done a certain way. And who won Again. Discussion are now just going to look at someone like Bill Belichick and say, Well, you're dead to me if you go do this because I think this of this person sitting in that office It's a little much It's really contradictory to the core values that we hear from certain people who are fighting for the rights of others, In my opinion. We roll in our to forget you updated on what's going on in Pittsburgh. The Steelers have pumped in its early fourth quarter. Cleveland's got the ball will keep you updated and get to you on the phones at 855 to 1 to four, CBS Sitting down. How's your posture?.
