Do You Want to Write a Book?

"I everyone welcome to another episode of women worldwide. Thank you so much for showing up for tuning in for always sharing how you're doing what you're feeling this really help us to bring the gas that can inspire motivate in really offer you some help with your challenges. So let's get right to today's topic we're gonna take storytelling and the author to a whole new level. It's the legacy maker. So i have a legacy maker today. Who's helping to transform the publishing industry joining me. On the show with andrea albright l. andrea is a serial entrepreneur as she is publishing mogul. She's published twenty six bucks and she's helping other authors to find the same success. And i could say so much about andrea talk about her latest book which is visionary boss so andrea. I think it's time that you share your advice in your journey with us. Welcome welcome to women worldwide. Thank you so much gear drive for having me. I am thrilled to be here. I love what you're up to supporting women worldwide and. Thank you for having me. Your welcome will twenty. Six books is huge. So i've written a few books. I i know what. That's like an absolutely amazed and what you're doing. So maybe you can start off just by sharing a little bit about this past two serial entrepreneur punching absolutely while i started in corporate america right out of college and i had a nervous breakdown. I learned early on that making money without her business and meaning didn't fulfill me and went and started my own company. I became an entrepreneur. When i was twenty six years so i've been on this journey for a while. I decided i wanted to help people get and get fit and my mentor at the time said well you have to write a book in order to stand out as an authority and so i wrote my first book in two thousand six and i remember being so terrified that no one was going to read it. Only my mom was going to buy it. I could sound. But i said you know if i can help one percent then. It's worth it. So i released that book and it went on to create thousands of success stories around the world. People would write to me and say your book saved my life. I was going to kill myself. And then i found your book and now i love my body i love myself i love my else and so it was messages like that. That kept me going and everyone said fitness and weight loss is way too competitive. You can never compete. But this thing called. Youtube came along and i was like what's you so i was really part of that. Social media revolution back in two thousand six two thousand seven and because of social media. I was able to reach my audience. I learned internet marketing. And every time. I would publish a book for myself. I would use marketing to bring people to my website. I eventually got on the front page of google. Very important key. Words like weight loss. Secret and flash forward. I wrote over twenty five bucks and health and fitness. I reached over ten million views on youtube. One hundred thousand. Facebook fans and women's health and fitness magazine. Put me on the cover of their twenty first anniversary edition. So that's really what defined my authority as a thought leader in women's health. And i saw that. So many authors are struggling to get their audience to pay attention to their book. And that's when i became publisher i started beverly hills publishing so that i can help other authors to publish books in ninety days and reach their audience through marketing in ninety days. Tat's unbelievable so from somebody who works with traditional publishers. Absolutely unheard of now. Isn't it interesting that you had some push-back around you of the competition and you know you even yourself said a. maybe only. My mom will read my book now. Is that something. Do office come to you. And do you find those same topic. So i guess yours or challenges that they think they're going to face as absolutely being visionary is both a blessing and a curse because we can see the future. We can see a possibility for humanity. I believe that anyone who wants to write a book is truly coming from that place of being visionary and seeing something that they want to share with the world but then the curse is that we doubt ourselves. Who am i to bryn this vision on the planet who am i to tell society and culture that we can do better and so it comes with that inferiority complex

Senator Josh Hawley to contest electoral college results, forcing vote in the Senate

"Bunch of members of the house from House Republicans had suggested that they will be objecting to the official. Electoral college vote tally that takes place in Congress on January 6th. That is when Mike Pence will preside over the activities of the Congress and count these electoral college votes. Throughout history in America. It's been mostly a routine affair, with some exceptions along the way a specially this century. I'll get into that in a moment. But Josh Holly became the first United States senator yesterday to indicate that he would also object to the Electoral College certification process. On January 6. Here's what he said in his statement. Well, First of all, I don't recall hearing the Democrats make any such claims. Hold tight on that. That is him on Fox News last night, and I just I just want to read the statement that that Holly released, he said, following both the 2004 and 2016 elections. Democrats in Congress objected during the certification of electoral votes in order to raise concerns about election integrity. They were praised by Democratic leadership and the media when they did, and they were entitled to do so. But now those of us concerned about the integrity of this election are entitled Do the same. Holly says he can't vote to certify the electoral college results on January 6 without raising the fact that some states particularly Pennsylvania, failed to follow their own state election laws, and I cannot vote to certify without pointing out the unprecedented effort of mega corporations, including Facebook and Twitter. Interfere in this election in support of Joe Biden. At the very least, Congress should investigate allegations of voter fraud and adopt measures to secure the integrity of our elections. But Congress has so far failed to act and that's why Josh Holly says he will be issuing his objection. In January. 6 now Beverly. What makes this important is you need both a senator and a member of the house to do that, in order to force both both houses to take a break from that joint session and head back to their separate houses and have two hours of sustained debate over whether or not honor the objection. That means the house and the Senate will consider this objection. Because they got the requisite one senator and one member of the House to object. It doesn't mean it goes any further than that. And we know it won't because Nancy plus that controls the house.

Jane lived eleven miles north in Boca retired. Stave. Resulted in central Florida. Like her Bra. Jane also received a cryptic farewell letter from beverly. It detailed her decision to make some big law changes in order to go traveling. She wrote of quitting her job in selling her condo as she had to lay virata away. The lead is made little sense to stave and Jane. After working odd for a long time beverly finally saying happy with by her career and home. Life. She had recently purchased the Condo and was working two jobs to pay off the mortgage. They couldn't understand why she would suddenly give up everything and. Without a proper goodbye. "Did altered state therapy. It's Kinda therapy alike altered state. Yeah and what is that with drugs at all had any ketamine? I did Ketamine for pain. It doesn't work pain. Well they said it would works for. Ptsd so you had a lot of PTSD. I didn't have a lot of PTSD. I had I had four specific things I was going after and I and I worked with the I do exactly what they were. I spoke with him a few times to kind of nail down. I went after it. I mean the way that I did. It was not an clinic. It was It was privately and it was. It was immensely helpful and when I say to you you know oh I do. I need to have a Man. I. I'm not saying that to use a self deprecating thing. I'm saying that as a woman who understands her machinery. I'm saying that as women who understands her creative machinery I became an actress because Neil OC- form and said under leach cool. You have to decide if you will be a good girlfriend or a good actress and I thought what to see need more. He needs someone to star in his movie. I can do that. I wanted to be a singer and I was singing jazz. And kind of writing these plaintiff little songs candidate and Ronnie Hawkins is bandages. Left him at gun on the road is the would dylan is hawks or whatever. And he said you know. Stick with me the party through silk so I learned all these rockabilly tunes. It's always been in service of some man and I always get out of it carrying the pearls but it just that's that's my machinery and I'm kind of into it. Although I have of late thought is. It really might just trying to get to that. Universal that universal consciousness were all of our hopes and desires in in creativity lies to some art. Here's what I think I know. Sound like a bullshit. No I think some people think you're probably a little crazy and some people think you're genius. What's so crazy? Let me? I'm not on the genius. There's a thin line. I think what you're saying makes perfect sense to me. Some people have whatever that. Why do I want to deal with those exactly? That's my point but what was mine. What I'm thinking is this. I know where my mind goes in millions of places and I could feel like all all over the place which I you probably feel in a lot of ways to open right but then I sort of feel like you know. I'm like you know I'm this and I'm thinking of this and I'm thinking of this and how do I calm my mind? Now there is that one thing I think it was Einstein. That's why I go to therapy. Just because I like to channel all the shit for an hour and a half and then go I feel good. It's off my chest. I do it in a different way. I write songs. I work on my shoes. It I used manage. Yeah use it see and I mean it's it's getting frustrating because all the work that I've been doing since last. May I don't have something to show for it so it does sound crazy on his? I'm using it. It sounds crazy if I was just in a normal life and I wasn't And I didn't have any creative outlets. Go Yeah maybe I should do therapy. But that's not where I'm at but I think you know I'm not at that. I'm into that by the way if you say you're crazy because in a year whatever you haven't figured out a one woman show. That's the genius that you've been thinking for your for how many years it takes time you know what? Rufus said he said. I should just book the cake and then I'll have to do it. You know with somebody else just told me they said again people always way. Here's what he said is. Actually you know who this was. This is Billy Boyd. From Lord of the Rings he was on the last podcast or podcast few weeks ago and he says this made a lot of sense. People are always near accent. I want to the exit. But he said people are always wanting to perfect something to rehearse it so much and then for because they don't want people to think or show that and he goes. That's just part of it but I know. But here's the thing that is my second phase my second phases in April and Kirk comes back from there with tweet Zo and we are going to put it on. Its feet the last question. Yeah has al. Did you ever ask Albino? Fuck about the poster. No nothing sexual. Nothing I said poster. Oh Oh yeah. Yeah you're GONNA get him and he'll do that you know. I'm GonNa ask you about this. Did you ever ask him to run lines or did he ever ask you run lines? I just think that defunding watching you guys on lines together going to indulge in this kind of psycho fantastic fan based line of questioning. It's really demeaning. And you shouldn't do that. It's way it's demeaning demeaning yourself when someone attaches it's a fan like thing that means they put someone above them. Don't if you put someone above you you're putting some of its Kidman and someone goes at Chevron lines of the ago she did say none of Your Business. Fuck you beverly Dangelo. "It was Beverly and besides singing and song writing Beverly is also an actor and a mom you're listening to the song that inspired the story right now yellow dress it will use this is not our next story is from a man in Detroit his question comes via telephone here's lead Thomas I'm standing in line at the grocery store and I'm there to get the essentials you know pop tarts olives for the paper I'm a dude and so I feel this guy staring at me intensely I can feel like he's burning a hole in the side of my head it's intense you know he's looking at me so hard it's like she smells something terrible he's just quick face looking at me and I can just feel it now usually that's a problem someone staring at you you give a mean face you know the face you use when you're walking down the street here in the city or any city you want to be left alone and given that mean face and they stop looking hopefully but this time I decided to do something different because the truth is is I'm not a mean dude kind of the kind of guy who cannot always has fun but as little as like the sing song kind of do a little dance studio just smile to make people smile in people would stare at me so I usually say it's because I'm devastatingly handsome I call myself the spotted Denzel Washington what's up girl but the truth is I have a disease called vitiligo it's two percent of the world's population has it is not life threatening it's not contagious but it does get you a lot of attention get you a lot of stairs so today instead of giving me face I decided to do something different I just let him stay here in men did the guys there I'm putting my stuff on the conveyor I'm checking out he's checking out on the other island he's looking and I'm let them look and I think he doesn't know that I'm let them look what he's looking he's lookin and we both check out at the same time we head towards the exit and he still look it in so we get to the door to leave and we actually make eye contact face to face and I just decide I got a break this and I look right at him and I say Hey buddy what's up and he won't hi and I think at that point he realized that he was a grown man staring at another grown man which you know is usually a problem so I wanted to break the ice a little bit and not make their tension and I I I said if it's a disease cover like a man it's it's not life threatening it's not contagious it is just kind of cosmetic and it just looks very different I I get a lot of attention and then the guy actually asked me a question the lancers question and we talk a little bit me ask me another question so I end up talking to the guy in the grocery store for like a good five minutes it it it was good in the end of our conversation he says to me if you don't have in Largo it's vitiligo but you know he was trying if you didn't have the Largo you look just like that guy on TV and I left it on my laptop I go high yeah yeah I get that all the time but you know I go to my car and I I just sit there and stare out the window because the truth is is in the city I live in Detroit I am that guy on TV I in the anchor of the morning show I am a reporter for a local station and I have been covering my vitiligo have been and still do cover my vitiligo with make up when I'm on TV and most people never even notice so for him I am that guy not wearing make up on TV is not a big deal this is New York you guys know this if you're on TV you got to cover blemishes you you gotta make it the sign go away make up is not a big deal on television but not only am I on television and entertainment reporter so I interview I'm gonna I'm gonna cosmetic job in a superficial industry and I interviewed the most beautiful people in the world right so I cover my face with make up because I don't want to lose my job I think if they know what I actually look like then it might kind of be over so I just do it everybody else on TV does cover it up and keep it moving and that goes pretty well I cover everything except my hands the vitiligo the pigment disorder you just lose your color for African Americans it's very drastic you look like you have some white spots all over your body but the hands completely go away no I tried to cover my hands with make up and it's brown make up follow me here you have brown make up on and you touch any part of your body during the day you're going to have a brown spot you shake somebody's hand they're going to walk away with brown on their hand you know like I do this is my mom's fault I'd rather people think that I have a disease then thirty because my mom you know this is hard my mom would always say we may not have a lot but at least we're clean down to the underwear thanks mama the so a cover with makeup it worked have a good career many years one day this lady calls me she says her son has vitiligo people with vitiligo noticed the hands in the call or write a letter and reach out that's cool she said her son wanted to talk to me and I said okay having call me after the newscast tomorrow and he did the fourteen year old kid he said that like go for a while he had straight days the kid was in the karate he seemed like he had his head on straight and I talked to the kid for like twenty or thirty minutes and we go back and forth with vitiligo stories and we talk about how to deal with the stairs and all kinds of war stories it was a good conversation and then he says Mister Thomas I have to ask you a question anytime someone announces a question you know it's something so I go okay he goes would you show your face on TV without make up on and I was like hero okay you because my boss had been asking me to do that for like two or three years in the news director and I wasn't gonna do it I was telling her let me think about it because you can't tell your boss no this is nothing you can do so I tell you let me think about it because I know I would just end up seeing watch the black man turning white tonight at five did they get that done a promo that's going to run for ever thanks to ready for that so this kid asking me the same question was different than my boss so I said to him why and he says if you show people what you look like maybe they'll treat me differently wow the kid blew my blinders off you know those blinders that.

I went to my friends so I went to my friend's senior prom a in Connecticut and then I went to Mir I was Miriam Ackerman's data her junior prom. But then I had some sort of weird gastrointestinal cramping so. I had to leave after the problem. Which is so me and then for my senior prom. It was like a hotel somewhere. So those were my problems. Five problems but I was gave so very non-sexual and very platonic platonic experiences across the board. Yeah not me I was like your fucking idiots have fun have fun at your idiot dance. I remember there was a big controversy because Because I was like the prom the prom while I was I was cl- I was the class. Vp senior years. So I was like the at the class officers. Have to put together the problem and There was a big. I remember having a clashing with a girl named Meredith about what should be served at the prom and I was. I was pushing hard core like chocolate cheesecake and she was pushing hard core for an ice cream. Sunday and it was an issue. There was a big issue about that went to one. I think it was like a homecoming dance or something and my mom made me go. 'cause you know my mom was like a junior league and she was like mortified that. I was in like black combat boots smoking cigarettes with the the wall. You know in the back so I went to win the theme that I remember was Knighton White Satin. Because you remember that song no tune worth certain. Of course I love that song so that was the theme of this dance and I went to a and I was like no one's even wearing white. These fucking morons. This is what happened. Like people are too stupid even wear white like I can't I'm done. The theme of our senior Prom was the rose based on the Bette. Midler the rose. Well that's another reason. I did not choose and I did not use that theme I did not. I mean I. I put all my eggs. Chocolate cheesecake basket. Let's talk a high school dance and theme it after a movie about drug addiction and life loss sounds great. Yeah I did not. I was actually opposed to the theme because it was the theme of the problem the year before and I was like we're not doing the rose again and we'd love it. We love it. We're doing it again and you were on the closet back then so you're probably like. Oh my God please. Don't put that Midler in my prom. God knows our react. You're going to be triggering. Have it be someone very strict? Why can't this be a brooks and Dunn Prom okay? So Frank gives her the Teresa's house and he's a story about worship and then Melissa tells everybody Oh yeah we're going to the shore. Delors is doing the tread and gorgeous gorgeous. Like what I wrote. Why Not Gorka says why not why. I don't know 'cause I didn't write down the line before. Well he probably also he says why not. Everything like wants more Broccoli job. Why not like fuck with Melissa. Not Why not know? The issue is Melissa. Thinks that because they're reminiscing on the Jersey shore and Melissa she thinks that basically Jennifer and Jack in March. They're not sure that they're going to like the Jersey shore because they're not really from there and they're more of a Hamptons vibe the Jersey shore vibe so maybe that's why Joe is like why not okay. So bill and gender L. over ill during that thing where he just sits and watches. Jennifer get dressed any seven prim and proper with his back straight up his eyebrows alert. Yeah he's like honey. I'm home Where.
