Mayor Elect Karen Bass Lays Out Plan for Homeless
"So what was it you told me, what is her statement that I wanted to analyze? Yeah. Karen Bess said something. Bummer. I got so taken in the back. Not taking aback. I got so preoccupied with explaining a liberal. I have difference. I will get back to Karen Bass, the new man. Oh, yes. Yes, she has announced you didn't tell me this. She has announced that we can't just house the homeless in non affluent areas. Did you hear that announcement? No. So when she starts forcing Beverly Hills, while Beverly Hills is not Los Angeles, okay? So encino or Pacific palisades. Or give me more rich areas, Brentwood, in LA. Bel Air, sure, well, Sherman oaks is wealthy. All right, great. All right, so that's the valley. She starts putting homeless into those neighborhoods. People who voted for her, the rich voted for her. It will be very interesting for sociologists to analyze the reaction of these people.

Hollywood Holds No Glamour for AJ Without Robert Evans
"Yesterday, marked two years since my beloved friend and tremendous maverick filmmaker and producer Robert Evans died. There's so many dates I carry in my head. We all do. And I'm a little embarrassed to say, you know, some dates are getting a little fuzzy up there. I'm getting older. But for whatever reason, my heart, the last two years anyway, always sends me a red flare up to my head whenever October 26th is coming. Anybody who knew Evans or kid as he was called, as you know, and he also called you kid back. So all you did was call each other kid. I had a couple of friends like that, Bo diedel. Calls himself bone. He calls you though. Some people are like that. But so many of us can not forget the day he died. You know, it was a very rough thing. I mean, we knew he'd never live forever. And a lot of us were there when he had that those terrible strokes that began to debilitate him and take away a little bit of his brilliant mind, but if still, when you heard about his passing, it was shocking. And I wrote in my first book much of which was written while I slept in his beautiful guesthouse on woodlawn drive in Beverly Hills behind the huge iron gates and the winding driveway, and of course that fountain in front of the door of the huge fighting cock as in rooster, but with Evans, it clearly meant another thing. But I wrote in the forward of my book when I was thanking people, I said something like, you know, God bless Robert Evans, I don't want to live in this town without you. Something that affect and I, you know, I couldn't, I couldn't feel the way any stronger right now. He's gone. I'm not there. Currently, but I'll be there in a week or so. And I don't want to be there. Not to say that LA doesn't have some attributes and of course it does, but I don't want to live in that business, let's say. Without Evans a few miles away to talk to and found some questions off of or just shoot the shit. And I said that when I wrote the book in 99, 2000, I want to came out actually. I wrote it in 92nd, 96, 97. And here I am. In 2021, two years with him gone and no, the town holds very little glamour without him there.
Bryce Eddy on 'Border Battle,' a Powerful New Series at SalemNOW
"Tiring to say that everything is madness, but it is. And I think you have to, we have to remind ourselves that when you talk about something unbelievably stupid, like defund the police, have no borders, most Americans understand this makes no sense. Something's wrong. But you and a bunch of the folks who made border battle, you get into the weeds on this, and you have been, as I said, at the border, embedded with sheriffs. So tell us what your perspective is, because most of us really, do we just can't imagine, at least I can. I want to look away because it's too horrifying to me that we have an administration that doesn't believe in protecting the people of the United States and just leave our borders open. But how did you get involved in this? What is your story? Yeah, so coverage 6, which is the name of our company. We are a vocational training school for military veterans. And as a part of that, we got into the guard services space, but in sort of a unique way because we're doing a lot of what we're calling private public partnerships. And with that, we, for example, we did a project where we were actually embedded with Beverly Hills, police department, we augmented their 130 man police force with 40 of our armed agents during the summer riots. And kind of prevented the city from being sacked again. So we do really unusual and unique things within the security space. So we've been called down to the border several times actually to kind of assess the situation. See what's going on there and come up with a, again, that private public partnership sort of a relationship with sheriff's departments, the border patrol.

Beverly Hills Boutique Bans Useless Masks
"Hills a Beverly Hills California boutique has banned masks. These folks, I'm not being cute. There are reasons for optimism. That is a reason for optimism. The reason for the ban is said but that they are doing it is a very good thing. Masks are another example. Only something useless. They were harmful. Like the lockdowns they were not just useless they were harmful.
Buckhead Residents Want to Secede From Atlanta
"The wealthy suburbs that are paying all of the tax base and they're the ones that are funding the police and the fire department, but they're the ones not getting the services. They're not getting the protection of the police department because the police officers are busy taking care of crime elsewhere in the city. And a group of folks in one of the suburbs in a place called Buckhead, which really is a beautiful area of super wealthy. You have Linux bowl, you have some incredibly wealthy shops and Neiman Marcus and those kinds of places. So it's very Tony section of Atlantic. Kind of like maybe and I know our folks in games will Georgia and the north, Georgia suburbs might be able to help us out here with this, but it's almost like the Beverly Hills of Atlanta. So you have a lot of wealthy people, a lot of celebrities, music stars, athletes, and they live in this area. And the folks of Buckhead are saying, you know what? We're done. We are done. We're done with the crime. It's unbelievable how many shootings there have been at Linux mall, which again is a high dollar high end mall. But you have all these people coming in from the city. They're taking the subway and they've got a subway stop right there at the ball, and they come up, they call all sorts of mayhem, start shooting people up and then they get back on the subway and they go back home. And now the people in Buckhead are saying, yo, we're done here. We want to secede from the state or from the city of Atlanta. And we've had the people involved in this campaign, the guy in charge is named Bill white. And their argument is that they need the right to be able to create their own police force and that they're concerned that the defund the police movement has really weakened the Atlanta police department. I mean, it makes
Mark Fleischman Plans to Die by Assisted Suicide
"I thought a lot about mock fleischman the other day because he's going to die soon. He's 80 years old. Actually he's going to die on July 13th. In Germany, but his wife of 27 years by his side. Some years after he stepped away from the insanity of owning nightclubs and restaurants, fleischmann understandably stepped away from the limelight that was the majority of his life. The last time I saw him was a little over two years ago. He invited me to a party that was throwing for the launch of his Studio 54 book. Is that some small joint in Beverly Hills? And the crowd was a mix of The Old Guard and the new. There was some New York City journalist dad too, namely my former nemesis at page 6, Richard Johnson. Fleischmann writing a book about Studio 54 was a good enough reason to get Johnson on a plane and out in LA to hang out. I said, the old man looks good. He said he sure does. Must been that good cocaine in the 80s and we both left. So smart fleshman came by and we posed for a picture. I wish I still have it somewhere. I got to find it. But he thanked both of us for helping keep the club and him and the column for years. It was a nice affair all in all, but I could tell this was one last gasp tomorrow. Like I said, I was closing in on 80. And so here we are. A couple three weeks away from July 13th. The day the music died from on fleischmann. And that's because several years ago, he became afflicted with a mysterious illness that would make him extremely dizzy at times. To his legs, sometimes flat out failing right beneath him. And over time, that illness could not be diagnosed by doctors and became worse and worse and more frightening by the day. As it is now Mark doesn't have any balance. He drops things and doesn't know where his body is in space. There was a time where a doctor is the very best doctor, by the way. Originally thought he had a form of Parkinson's, but it isn't that. Nobody knows what this is. He's suffering from. Once he heard that Mark knew what he had to do. One time he swallowed a bunch of Xanax, but doctors brought him back before he could overdose. When he was going to go buy a gun, his wife, Mimi, intercepted, and they had a long talk. Mark convinced her that he'd had a great life that he loves and now more than anything, but now what this mystery illness running his life, he said, it's time for me to say goodbye. Eventually, with his wife's support, they contacted a Swiss nonprofit group poll after multiple tests and psychiatric evaluations, it was obvious to see that Mark fleischman, a man who pumped so much life into New York City was now a candidate for assisted
Why Dr. Vincent Giampapa Collects Stem Cells in Costa Rica
"You brought up something interesting and you talk about our current model of medicine. I have a lot of friends in the medical industry and a medical profession who have done this. And we sort of left this one out here for a little bit. Let's bring it back now. You can collect themselves here, but you collect them in Costa Rica, correct? Yeah, so you can collect them and store them here. But then they'd have to be transferred to Costa Rica and that transfer process is three or $4000 just to transfer them. So that's why we say people. And you can get treated. So if you come to ours, our center there, and frankly, you can see it's called both you look on the web, RMI international dot com. You will see something that looks like rodeo drive in Beverly Hills, and it is an unbelievable state of the art facility, and it's the only facility in Central America that has government license to legally do
Thieves Take at Least $3M in Goods From Beverly Hills Store
"Thieves take at least $3 million in goods from Beverly Hills store. Associated Press. Robert smashed the front windows of a Beverly Hills jewelry store in broad daylight and fled with millions of dollars worth of merchandise. Witnesses recorded video of Tuesday's assault on the store. Which is the latest in a long stream of brazen smash and grab thefts and robberies of people wearing expensive watches or jewelry in the Los Angeles region.

"I expect to see a brow con kit coming out at some point. It'll happen. I see it for 2022. Okay, Anastasia. Let's do our slow burn. No, this is going to be really difficult. But if you had to pick one product, one Anastasia Beverly Hills product, what would be your favorite? Oh, that's like, I have ten kids and you ask me who is my favorite? It's hard because I mean, I am in love with all my products. I never launch a product. See if I'm not crazy in love. Me and my daughter, we work probably in pants of products, but if we are not in love, could take us one year, two years, if we are not in love at the end of those years of developing the products, we will not launch. But my favorite should be the brows. And then brow freeze and then brow pen and project. I know. It's so hard. It's so hard. That's a fair answer. Who do you think has the best brows? All my clients. I mean, I think Jennifer Lopez has a beautiful eyebrows. We'll probably in three has gorgeous eyebrow else. Kim Kardashian has a gorgeous eyebrows, everybody in the Kardashian family. I mean, Kendall Jenner. I do her eyebrows. It's gorgeous. Highly beaver. Oh, Justin Bieber, too. Gorgeous eyebrows. He's got great brows. Wow. Way to go, Justin. He's such a handsome, both of them are so beautiful. And I love them..

"So the best way to rehab is if you're lucky enough that your hair is going to grow, you know, we have an app go to App Store Anastasia Beverly Hills and we have a nap and you could keep your iPhone in front and you will see the shapes and you could try different shapes and different colors of pencils. And you find out what shape would be the best for you because based on the golden ratio, the app is going to tell you what is the best shape for you. The best answer. And you start filling them in, that shape, you could use, we have a pro pencil that is skin color, and you could hide few of the small little hairs that would grow until then. So I think you could use a serum, like the black teas, for instance, to see if your hair grows. If you tweeze your eyebrow for very long time, sometimes the hair doesn't grow, because you destroy the hair follicle and they don't grow back. And you have to basically become an artist and paint your eyebrow perfectly. That's why we created so many products for every problem that we have. Let's say you have coarse eyebrows and you have two gaps where you have a scar in your eyebrow. I created the brow pen. After you use the base, fill in with the base, then you use just hair strokes to mimic a hairstyle. Let's say you have a hair that grows down especially from the highest part towards that's why we created the brow freeze because the brow freeze controls the hair and it's so easy and doesn't move and then you see exactly where you are missing here and you feel it with the deep brow Po mod or with the brow pen or the prowess. I created products for every problem..

"And I look at my pictures when I lived in Romania and I look surprising all the pictures because the shape is wrong. So I start going to the library and I think I could get this formula because I learned from my teacher, so I gave her all the story. But I think we should do eyebrow service. I would like to try that. And she said, no, because you will be late. I was so booked back to back with my appointments, facials who are now, and she said, we can not charge for eyebrows. A service. So we'll take a long time because of course, at the beginning, used to take me half an hour 40 minutes to do an eye rock. I was exploring. And they didn't let me do the eyebrows. But I really I was so intrigued because I fixed my eyebrows. I let my eyebrow grow and I used to mix some aloe Vera with eyeshadow and vaseline and fill in my gaps because of course, once you start over tweezing your eyebrows sometimes or most of the time, they don't grow back. So I used to do their eyebrows with few of my clients, but I will be too late with my appointments and then the next client will complain. So I decide after a year and a half to I decide to rent a room in a salon in Beverly Hills and start going on my own and working longer hours and doing eyebrows as well. So that was the beginning. I used to charge $10 because the first year I didn't charge at all because it was not a concept of, oh, I have to get this service, you know? But then you became more in demand. Exactly. And then I didn't have time to do facial embody works in you anymore. And I hire a lady that used to do shells and body works in the end. I was doing still facials when I was in that room..

"Now. It does. And I'm actually really bummed that we did not ask her. Damn, that's okay. Anastasia, soiree. This is the brow queen. If God was a woman, this is her. She like invented brow makeup. Exactly. Everyone that hopped on the brow train, it's only because she was the one that was kicking and screaming to get people to pay attention to their brows. So just a little bit about Anastasia. She is a Romanian born beauty entrepreneur. She launched her namesake brand Anastasia Beverly Hills in 1997 and the first product line launched in 2000. Can you believe that? So she's on the show today because it's her 25th anniversary. And we're very, very excited for her. But I just feel like Anastasia Beverly Hills became one of the cultural beauty brands because of YouTube, like everybody was using Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow. The Instagram brow that was all because of Anastasia. Everyone started doing their brows a certain way because of her. Her palettes are equally as important to people. I love my Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes for sure. Her bronzer products, like contour sticks. Oh yeah, it's just wild to me though. I'm like looking here, I'm like, this brand did really start. In the early aughts, like pre YouTube, she's just a really incredible guest to have because she shares so much knowledge. You're gonna hear about her background, how she got to where she is today. The clients that she's worked on, I mean, she's gotten endorsements from literally Oprah and Kim Kardashian when it comes to getting a product endorsement like you can't get any higher than those two. It's like, okay. It's all downhill from here. Easy breezy. Like, remember when we would watch Oprah, Sarah, and she would do her favorite things, and it was like, you had got to get whatever makeup product she talked about. It was like not even an option. Yeah. And then if you were honored to have been invited to the show, your life was changed forever, like Anastasia says. I bought an origins souffle body cream for my mom for Christmas because it was on Oprah's favorite thing..

LA Sheriff Asks Feds to Prosecute Gang Who Killed Cop
"My guess is LA county sheriff Alex V in a way with sheriff. How unusual is it for a case to be taken away from the LA county DA and turned over to the feds and situation like this? How unusual is that? Well, given that track record of gascon sadly, it won't be the first won't be the last time that this is going to happen. Remember, Beverly Hills had a robbery and it went also went to the fez and they bypass gas going, but most people really weren't paying attention to it. And we're going to see more of this and we don't want to overburden our federal counterparts obviously because our numbers might just overwhelm the federal agencies and federal court, but we need to have a deal that's going to actually do his job. And this gentleman just refuses to. And that's not acceptable for us.

Fourteen 'Smash and Grab' Suspects Released
"Good morning, everybody. We are back on Lebanon and will wit from krager you and if you're a California resident right now, I'm sure that you are recognizing the massive uptake and crime that is happening in our streets in our communities at our restaurants and in our very own backyards. It's extremely concerning, considering that the California policy makers are at this point incentivizing this, I want to share a story here that was put out by the Washington examiner. 14 suspects accused of smash and grab incidences have been released from custody partially through the zero bail policy passed by California's Supreme Court earlier this year. And if any of you are in San Francisco right now listening, you know that shoplifting has been decriminalized so long as it's under the figure of $950. So what we're seeing right now in the state of California is a bunch of hoodlums running around robbing people, sometimes at gunpoint, and stealing their things, knowing that they're going to get off for this and they're going to be just fine because of these zero bail policies. And because of these progressive legislators, and that's the problem a lot of times with progressive policies, they identify a problem, and the problem that they have identified now is, well, we have too many people sitting in prison, or we have too many people of color specifically sitting in prison, and they've identified the crimes that they're sitting in prison for and they go, well, how do we help this? And how do we help people of lower income? How about we institute zero bail policies or at the very least bail reform? And how about we decriminalize these crimes that are putting people in prison? And when we do that, surprise surprise, crime goes up, and it's not only happening in lower income communities as we speculated before. When the left was running with zero bail policies, bail reform, decriminalization of certain crimes and defunding the police, we said, you know who you're going to hurt, you're going to hurt low income communities. But now, it's seeping out of low income communities into middle income communities into higher income communities. We're seeing this in the Pacific palace palisades. We're seeing this in Beverly Hills. The crime is just exponentially growing in the state.
Gavin Newsome's Has a Secret
"I got a guy in Los Angeles who knows a thing or two about the Beverly Wilshire hotel. And he tells me, well, actually, she told me, I got a girl I should say, but I still call it a guy. She told me that every few days Gavin Newsom leaves his office in Sacramento, California. Comes down to Beverly Hills. In an unmarked car, he's driven, of course, he gets out in the loading dock area. Well, the baseball cap on keeps his head down, head straight for the elevator. It doesn't make any nice talk to anybody near him. Sunglasses the whole thing. Hits a button and goes upstairs. What do you think he's doing? You think he's having some kind of peace talk summit up there? No. He's getting laid. He's got a girl. And these are the kind of people who are telling us how to live. Makes me sick. Look, we're all gonna die at some point. We're all gonna die at some
There Is No Left Without a Lie
"So anyway, I was telling you about the world of the left in which they live, right? Where kids need vaccines. And where they believe that if you have fewer police you will have less crime. You understand. I mean, it's up there with men give birth. And it's fair for a biological man. To compete in women's sports, these people are crazy. They're crackpots. Not just bad they're crackpots. They're trying to move us backwards said Molina Abdullah cofounder of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles. This is the LA times. We don't want to move backward. We want to move forward. A villa called avant's killing, remember this woman? In Beverly Hills, two 30 in the morning, shot dead in her home. She called a killing horrific and appalling and said Black Lives Matter mourns with her family. But she said officials must not be allowed to use avant's death, or recent property crime to push for more policing, cash bail or other tough on crime measures. That she said have been proved not to work. Is that amazing? I told you, without lying, there's no left. I mean that literally, I swear before my holy God. I believe that if truth prevailed, there would be no left. They are based on lies. This is a lie.
Mike and Caller Ron Discuss the Sickening Crime Wave Plaguing American Cities
"Ron and San Diego here in the relief factor dot com studios wants to weigh in on this crime rave, this surge we're seeing throughout the country. 81 year old music executive's wife shot dead in her Beverly's Beverly Hills home last week. Hey Ron, how are you? Hey, Mike. You know, I'll tell you the crime ways that sweep in this country right now and all these cities is just out of control. And the thing that kills me the most. And you know, I'm close to this, George gascon guy up here in LA. And, you know, this guy wasn't appointed, Mike. He was voted in. I know. By the people. And, you know, they reelected that mayor garce city. And you know, I can't help it, you know, think that these people in LA, if you go up there, you know, I went to the amundsen theater the other night to see Christmas Carol and downtown LA. And then I'll tell in LA between the crime and the homeless, it looks like a third world country. It stinks, it's what I'll never go again. Ron, listen, let me take you to the other coast for a minute. I walked through the 42nd street subway station, a week or two ago in New York City. It was like between the angry aggressive, homeless people and creeps. It looked like a movie set from night of the living dead. It was like the zombies. It was unbelievable. It was scary. It was and people are getting assaulted. There were two women beaten, so badly the other day by a guy who had been arrested 14 times and they won't lock him up because of bail reform laws, the one woman is permanently disfigured. Can you imagine a tourist visiting Los Angeles wants to go see the Christmas Carol or go she rock the Christmas tree at Rockefeller center in New York and you get beaten to a pulp and they won't put the perpetrator in jail? Because they were for me. Mike, they have the early release program here in California and it's like these criminals are running the streets. It's just if you defend yourself by God, you're the one that gets thrown in jail. Oh, you pull out a gun and shoot what you blow one of these miscreants or away? You'll wind up in 20 with 20 years behind

Taggered lieutenant bogomil. They follow him taggart. He uses a banana to trick them. I he gets food delivered From room service. It doesn't say. I don't know how he lake Pulled off the maybe. Just put everything on a credit card. Do not get along with the axle first. But then they develop a mutual respect Because they sell something else One of the things that's a contrast is that They try to make. Is you like Some of the problematic behavior they shows like a program to like it Beverly hills officers have to follow these rules by the book And that they can't think for themselves in that Axel is trying to teach them. Hey you got to think for yourself in trust your instincts sometimes.

"The like i dunno trend sink of like what makes things chain like which shifts things. But if i there's like some skepticism and the various toward figu problematic. It's already figure said say then there's a sequence either before after this where he's looking so he meets with french jenny That's what it means to our comic genius. Brian center force and then She goes to art gallery. Secede as just catch He drinks in spread so Because they have an express like bronson runs the expresso counter at a at the cafe at the art gallery in his friend. Degen like the manager then. He meets the owner. Who is this guy. Victor maitland which i still think is one of the best Villa names victor maitland. And he He says okay. This like you could tell just by the casting that this guy's leak up to no good but he you know he's acts all pleasant and then jensen's nothing. I love working here. Nothing strange going on at all. And i know there's something like i can't put my finger and then he says let me look around so then he starts digging a little deeper any gets into the warehouse in. That's where he finds lake against smuggling or something like their smuggling bear binds and maybe other things in the art but he definitely doesn't have any proof also the following him like so then he can't salako like work with Like at some point. He stabs like going against the authority figures. He has enough fund with them that he just gets in the car and he's stir he again if i like like He's kind of like trying to get them to buy into what he discovered. even though he's still on a hunch has pretty fast. But maybe we'll see when i look up to plot And then guests here. There's something there's a big hole because eventually he finds some kulu. That victor maitland. Like natalie is mikey but there's something else involved And so they search come around on his police work but they're still doubtful and they don't want him involved and whatever and then there's then there's like the big eighties action sequences at the end guests. The probably is one like an action sequence in the middle of the story. There's gotta be but route lake at the end. It's like the older cop Gruff recap with the moustache. The head of the department is like a like a. He's bought in like aces. Wow this is great. Detective work But he's not involved directly then. There's osas judge. Reinhold is one of he's places younger What do you call that lake. Green or Naive beverly hills cop. He's an actual. Beverly hills cop like but he's the one that's kind of trying to soften the sky has a point and he's like His name's billy billy. I think he other guys taggart. And he's billy but he could be billy taggered in the other guy could have a totally different name. But so eventually those three end up There's some sort of big chase or multiple chase and then they ended up a victim elands mansion and they have to get in there and like get to like So i guess maybe in the eighties like Smuggling in that kind of stuff was like holy cow. It's a real thing orbiters like also. Yeah now i'm and other stuff from the movie they say late can't believe that lake So definitely exposes so like Lakers embedded problems our culture. Okay so let's see what it says. I'm wikipedia 'cause That's all. I can remember though so was produced by eddie murphy. Productions and simpson bronchitis.

"We'll just don't like don't go. Do anything brash He says well not take a break or go to california and he calls. He calls his friend janney. Who i can't think of the it'll it'll come to me but In in if he calls her just goes there. But there's a couple of sequences of course going to remember out of order. But they're so cool so basically he next thing you know he's in he's in a beverly like los angeles and again in this. Is the eighties So if you think hollywood in los angeles and beverly hills was la la land. Now in the post ought Back then it was a wedge and another is just a lot of mystique especially with beverly hills so you see leaky goes to beverly hills at source. Friend worked at a warehouse of an art dealer whereas friend jenny works and i. She's just trying to figure out he's just trying to get to the bottom of it right. I don't think he's been connected even all those stats other than his friend. Work to there so he goes to beverly hills and he checks he. I don't know where he first Gets the idea or how he pulls this off in also not sure where he gets his car from but at some point so he goes and checks into the hollywood beverly beverly hills hotel. That's what it's called right. And he checks in there and At another missing some secrets And he gets brought in and he goes into the police station and he's like first of all he's like telling he gets. I think the first people. I'd take him in our these two taggart and billy billy tag tagger in Oh man but there's two there's a young cop in an lake older gruff recap And they go into the station. And i it's like he's like holy cow. Look at how much funding you have and how fancy station is in. Then he meets like the head of the department there and He basically i. I think he tries. I think he like pulls a fast. When he says yemen helping lake anna case Some working but maybe he calls his boss and Yeah like immediately within five minutes is all three main characters. Take a liking to him. In the third character still be rough until he sees his lake Axel hassle like win him over. And it gets it just shows a lot of echo's current times Because it's like it kind of ingrained in the system. I guess in like say we'll have shown just treat me with respect Eventually he's like. I maybe i. He says he's just sound vacation and they say okay. Well Okay we'll Enjoy time then. Sorry about the mix up also talk to your boss and he says if you're investigating anything by they're coming home so i guess what i would call that secret like so there's a sequences there's like The shine of l. a. And then the fancy in the hotel newsletter comedy with him checking into the hotel end like whatever all over the top of hollywood beverly hills Meller stuff then. There's him dealing with the problematic police department and overcoming that and then of course he becomes friends I don't know pretty quickly. I.

"Think Now i'm picturing eddie murphy sitting on the hood of a car just looking cool and also accept the fact that all this could be wrong but show okay so back to the film so there eddie murphy is Alma said his name. I forgot the characters name. It'll be interesting me trying to remember anybody's name. It can hear his his like What do they call that his superintendent or whatever yellen adam oh alma said. I think it's three syllables Some you already since shoots command billy that what it is billy wright down now they can't be but so no billy is billy the wind way So okay he he's trying to make this deal and then something goes wrong. Something alerts the non the the the the smugglers to the fact that he's on the job in. I'm not sure what it is. It wasn't his slip up. Of course it was someone else like. Maybe they're listening in or maybe and then he even tries to ham that up lake Any says almost pulls it off but then of course there's an action secrets and then we see okay. Whoa so this movie's funny and we have a hero. Clearly in our hero is very confident and skilled but also likable end. There's going to be action so there's action sequence with the the truck in. He's in the back of the truck. Sure there's a car chasing behind and he's trying to diffuse the situation and eventually he does and he succeeds but he has to do it of course in a way that how we resolve things. A lot of times is too over the top So however you resolve date or whatever tactic. He uses some tactic. Of course not okay with the authority figures in. I'm not exactly sure what it was. But so he goes back to the office. Of course he's like a in with the regular like other work working officers and you can see he's popular in in had silica sense of humor or whatever like they say. Wow you're you're really somebody we look up to but then his boss is very upset with him and his boss is like very like us you loud words because you know. This is guessing eighties..

"Which i think was before this in a kind of started to show his range His character was similar in different in some ways in in that movie. It showed his confidence. I guess maybe that's part of. It is said like it was almost. You'd say you wouldn't use understated and eddie murphy especially eighties early nineties in a lot of things. But this was almost an understated role comparatively because he he's just being a cop And i really. I i just really think very very highly of this film so hoping whenever you watch it i like retain that and i guess you could check with me before we watch watching say scoots to should we rewatch it. Is it Like a like especially those that are younger. That have never seen it. Or maybe you're more familiar with The kind of over shop. It eddie murphy. Comedy of the arts in lake Were eddie murphy. We're seeing more characters and like a makeup. If based roles in in the cgi a this is a very young eddie murphy but very handsome suave but again understated casual swath i would say role in knows just like almost like a softer leading man. I don't know for me. You say this is the strangest thing verse. But very relatable. I would see much more like a put it up against a movie like Within a similar timeframe of a cop like inverted detective investigating. Which would be fletch. And i wonder would. I know the fletch source material. We had at work. So i know that's based on a book i don't know if beverly hills cop was but this one is much more straightforward in. It's very funny But it at i. It's nath forcing the humor forward in. It is like a little bit of a social commentary for eighties though. Edano again since i haven't seen in a while i don't know how deep about racism and classism so so if you haven't watched it's a movie called beverley hills cab became out in the eighties. That's kinda all remember. The reason it's i mean so all the reasons why it's so important to me so so i saw it.

"Of course i'm here in utah out tonight. I'm gonna talk it's gonna be a tale of the tape in recently was a few months ago for me. I recorded episode about a movie theater. So it gift. You'll be hearing this a few months after that. But i'm not positive when you'll be hearing this but i talked about. Is the second run movie theater that he he had a huge police in my life in. Maybe i've done this movie before. But i can't pitcher it I mean how they've done over nine hundred pre recorded like nine hundred and thirty episodes Maybe a half so. Maybe i don't know maybe this is just be a bonus of me trying to remember but this also happened with the Princess bride reset. I thought i did this already. But then i said well i kinda did but this is like one of the movies is that really has a lot of meaning for me. I really love this movie. It's been a few years since rewatch did an pretty sure Watched it since. I entered adulthood or sprite in two thousand thirteen. But maybe not. I remember watching it pre those days been on a day when i was just kind of kicking back I guess taking a break between wedding events. One of my brothers weddings. So i don't know if this is a turn or the aunts but show. I remember watching this movie then. I am pretty sure. Seen it since it is rated r. So don't worry though if your kid listening don't oh boy. Don't worry but i just love this movie in. It is a movie that i don't know. So we get into it in sewer things. The name movie is It's original beverly hills cop as with most movies. I talk about if no idea when it came out is somewhere between nineteen eighty seven or six in nineteen ninety two though. I'm guessing at the end of the eighties. Eighty nine eighty eighty eight eighty nine. I do wonder how well this movie stands up. But and the i mean it gets a movie is probably matic things. I'm not remembering movie is a little bit about race in in systemic racism so like Wonder i don't know. I wonder how that's portrayed. I just like Because it's been a long time so we'll have to see like oh. Hopefully usually the less. You tend to watch a movie. After i've recorded. These would like to watch with my daughter in a. I don't know where this lanes in lake Because they're not good with dates. But i would like if i had to say is my personal opinion is this is probably in maybe again. It's just memory but one of eddie murphy's best performances in actually where he probably doesn't get enough credit for the amount of range today shows in a movie in one of the main reasons is. He's a little bit for most this movie. I don't know. I really 'cause they can your vividly in my mind. He has to do a lot of He has a lot more range in its comedic action role in a guess for a lot of us. I mean i know. He did metro. Remember seeing that. I don't remember much about it. But it was like a and if there's two or three beverly hills camps movies I think i was old enough to see two in the movie theater but one i was definitely not maybe not even to or maybe two. They made into a pg thirteen movie again. Not sure at any of this stuff. but a couple reasons whereas move he was a big deal one. It was are so. I didn't see it for a while too. It was a very different eddie murphy. Then eddie murphy of the late eighties in the nineties Like us in forty eight hours..

What do you like about the lawnmower for brian. O'brien is the best part is that it's engineered so that the ceramic bleeds are actually contoured so that they're not cutting you. That's the main thing for me. Is that nice a regular razor an electric razor on any of those metal blades. They're going to nick. And that is not a cute love. Nobody wants to see that with a ceramic played. It's designed with your safety. In mind this is also upgraded with a four thousand k. led spotlight. It is customized with trim additional guard links with sizes one through four. And did i mention. It's also wireless charging future. I know the future is in wireless. The new wireless charging system uses electric magnetic induction. Which can help battery lengths last longer. There's you know electric magnetic fields and even when it comes this shaving there's a magnetic induction for basically on mars as it is now but that does sound sexual doesn't it does and speaking of sexual if you really think about it if you've been shaving using the same trimmer on your face and your balls. Jump to fifteen minutes and three seconds. If you want to go directly into the episode but before we touch on our beverly kills tour we must learn a little bit more about the beverly hills history because you know we like to mix a little history and crime and ghosts so we gathered some information based on the history of beverly hills from the beverly hills historical society website of beverly hills historical society dot org and so according to the beverly hills historical society it all started with maria rita in the years. Eighteen fifty two. Maria survives a a siege and shootout with native americans who attacked her rancho and this may have influenced her to sell her land two years later to henry. Hancock and benjamin wilson unfortunately for the new owners the water straight up in the area a few years later and followed by a long drought that left their livestock to die. Hancock in wilson are remembered today for the upscale hancock park neighborhood and local geographic landmark of mount wilson by eighteen sixty eight. The land was owned by edward. Bruce or press who sought to establish a community for immigrant german farmers to be called something muttiah in the meantime he turned the ranch into lima. Bean fields selling his crop to cover taxes in santa. Maria was never to be yet after another. Drought plotted bruce's streams early in the eighteen eighties. Henry hammel and charles dunker acquired the land with the intention of creating morocco a subdivision with north african theme. The us economic collapse of eighteen eighty eight put a quick end to that scheme in the year. Nineteen hundred the fortunes of the former rancher began to improve a group of oil speculating. Investors led by burton e. Green bought the bean field on behalf of the amalgamated oil company. Green drilled a series of wells that failed to strike oil however they did strike a lot of water enough to support a town in one thousand nine hundred six green and his partners reorganized as the rodeo land and water company inspired by beverly farms massachusetts green and his wife renamed the bean field beverly hills in one thousand nine hundred seven landscape architect. Wilbur d cook was hired to design a street plan for beverly hills. Cook laid out curving streets with larger lots on the north side smaller. Lots on the south side and triangular commercial district between them. All the streets were tree-lined and land was set. Aside for public parks for elementary schools and a high school vision was to make the area affordable to a range of incomes. as long as the buyers weren't black or jewish these shameful restrictive covenants would eventually fall in the nineteen forties. Thanks to a lawsuit brought by hattie. Mcdaniel ethel waters and other notable african americans. The first house was completed in one thousand nine hundred seven but sales were very slow. And by nineteen twelve to bolster the interest of potential buyers green completed construction of the beverly hills hotel on the site where the waters once gathered. The luxurious establishment served not only travelers but the locals as a defacto city hall community center movie theater and religious worship than you. The hotel was reached by the specially constructed. Dinky railroad a wondrous attraction in itself by nineteen fourteen. The local population was large enough to support the incorporation of beverly hills city but real growth didn't take off until the errors most glamorous hollywood couple mary. Pickford and douglas fairbanks bought a small lot on summit drive and dubbed their home. Pickfair put a pin on this. Because we definitely touch on pickfair in the tour. Following their fashionable lead was a host of film industry stars directors and producers who began the celebrity mystique that remains a constant of beverly hills to this day would also brought fame to the young city was the addition in nineteen nineteen the los angeles speedway the site of auto races. Second in importance only to the course covering most of the southwest quadrant of the city barely made it through half of the roaring twenties. Among the notable structures built on the land formerly traversed by race cars was the beverly wilshire hotel in nineteen twenty eight the same year edward l. dini completed greystone mansion a fifty five room mansion and estate which was a wedding gift for his son which is now owned by the city and operated as a museum park and event venue. Also put another pen on this location because we will definitely be stopping here towards the end of our tour because there is a story of true crime and ghosts attached to this mansion with growth. Came the return of a problem that haunted the nineteenth century rancho a potential shortage of water. And this even hans us to this very day in nineteen twenty-three an effort to secure a steady water supply through annexation by the city of los angeles was defeated by the voters. Thanks to opposition led by mary. Pickford who feared the loss of local identity. Celebrities continued to be important to civic life. Most notably the nationally cherished humorist and honorary mayor of beverly hills will rogers in his memory. The park across sunset boulevard from the beverly hills hotel was renamed after his death..

"Houses. A great imitation. There's no doubt about no no no and that's why we're going strong. That's why it is your love for each. it's just they don't call you al for nothing for nothing. Pendle is can have the panthers the l. Yeah you're gonna be pandals else. Hey i know someone who can renew your vows for you really really. Did they do it. Like maybe in tampa they anywhere anything works. Wow yeah i hear. There's a three day waiting period forgetting mary anytime. What if you're not the first fifteen and he just kind of got it down to where we're just doing jokes for fifty people love not upset about. Hey i know. It's beverly hills but people have beer at weddings. That's not the item there so just taken aback by somebody who wants to have a beer at a wedding is absurd. Like you're spending millions of dollars told me there's an open bar at that wedding with what we were so low class and all of our friends are so low there. They're tasting champagnes. I'm assuming that's for the toasts. That's not or you mean to tell me they're going to the wedding and everyone's just drinking champagne tough. That's a tough one anything better than going to a wedding. You're not excited about it. You're just like i can't believe this is happening. And then you show but it's an open bar off okay. I mean look got bigger. Things are look. Also if they have chick-fil-a nuggets as well does that does weddings with mars. A nugget trae awesome. What we spend all our money in the open bar. What do we do for food nude. Can we stop like like. Let's make weddings fun again. That's what i you know what i'm talking about. Get those nuggets. Like are great like. Stop it with your sideshow bar and nuggets with an open bar. I'm there out go to anybody's wedding if you saved them. Save the money on the like. Don't do invitations. Just let me know what's happening. i'll be there. I'll be there. And if i'm there. I want nuggets. And i wanna know how all open bar wedding. Open nacho bar all my gosh open chicken wing bar open cream sundae bar open alcohol bar hop. I mean i'm there. Why are we planning weddings. I i wonder people wouldn't find our weddings appeal. They're wrong how can tell you that Speaking of wrong brennan penny in this movie says. I don't think i could head back to oregon without seeing the ocean now. I don't really care where they live in oregon. Your job is taking people out onto the ocean. That is what you do for a living sir. I'm just begging. You hear acts like the character makes sense. You can't see you see the ocean every day every once it gets in your blood though man i can't i can't i. Just don't understand. I get it like organs. A big state. I'm not saying. They live near to the ocean but his job is to take people out on the ocean. How is this something he has to do before he goes back. Home doesn't make any sense terrible talking. About what what about. What the hallmarks have you guys. Consider doing those. My idea for this segment would be. It's where we discuss any questions that we have that we would love some sort of clarity to after watching this. Movie panda wok. Why aren't they into social media. Why is jordan so frightened of the social. I mean he. He's manley aggressive about that. I think jordan is like in the witness protection. Yes yes yes yeah. He is much very upset about all of it. Dancing the there filming him wall seriously man like when he's eating the like get a thing. I totally get like not want like. Don't put my kids on social media. Like i'm totally but your grownup like what's like in you're in the witness protection program. This is the world that you live at bow tries is just a part of it. Don't worry too much because terrence makes millions of dollars by being social media influence or. He's not going to have a lot of you and your brother just walking through the hotel there may be like a couple of seconds like it's not going to be all over the internet mad about the dancing things like that. My my other one is the dancing thing that they posted did seem not nice it did. It did have some snark to it like they were making fun of the couple. Not knowing how to dance right. What's up with that tear. It's like a lot of stuff that it all depends on whose side you wanna be. There's a lot of stuff that terence could be faulted for of being awful. Yeah yeah wanted to for sure. But that's the same goes for every character in the movie but that's part of the problem. I think what you're saying like terrence isn't a good guy but his. He's so likable like his personality is really great. And he's not like snarky page in this movie heat like this poor girl. Imagine a woman coming up to you and saying oh. I want to wear the wedding dress of my mother and and talking her out of the trees a monster monster but we like like what is his deal understand. I just need a timeline of events for this thing. I think that's my big issue because first of all they say The weddings going to be on valentine's day and then they immediately say that's in six weeks which means happy new year to you folks but but also it means their six weeks. All these people have jobs they work. And the next day they wanna play beverly hills in beverly hills for. I don't know. I don't know a few days and then come back and i feel like the wedding like the next day or two away. So where are the six weeks like. How long do they spend in each place. So here's my thinking was in this. Because i had the same question i think what they do is they get. They fly up to plan and get flies him back and then they fly back for the wedding so he would have worked. Had they had the beverly hills wet correct but they said no go. They went home and so it makes you think that they ended up because they the only reason they were going to have the wedding. That soon was. Because i. I believe at one point. I heard three weeks. I think there are going to spend three weeks in beverly hills planning it so fly home. Okay my next question subsequent question as you probably also have his how all these people taking three weeks off of work. Well let's go back little wet. Well let's think about it corey you can do it every once Molly she just takes pictures whenever somebody who doesn't even sell them online and the other two people we don't care about their josh door join runs. The farm doesn't join. Russell far formed for three weeks. Doing it you bet you bet you could. Hey i'm getting married. Can you watch weeks weeks pesticide on this and then and then her what does she do. We don't know see some teacher. She's.

I'm having a good time with this pal. do you think the issue is brooke. You don't like burke. I i would say going into this movie and my mind i would have put both of these two leads on my lower half of the regulars but i think pennies kind of growing on. Here's kind of like. He's kinda like i didn't mind him in this movie. I the last one. Little christmas charm law was the first time i was like okay. So here's the pride of mine pro think we can. I could sum up my feelings on this movie in a sense. Which is the two leads. Believe they are making an old hallmark movie and the screenwriter and everyone else are thinking. They're making a new hallmark movie. Like those to brooke. Your saying brennan penny are acting in this way that only works in that old formula. That homework isn't using as much anymore. Like this formula. They're trying to tell jokes and they're trying to be funny and they're trying to be modern hip and not have people. Just be nice to each other right out of the box but penny and yours say are still trying to play that those old archetypes of what hallmark lead is. That's my big issue with the movie. It just never jaws because and they're still more interesting to me than the other couple in the movie. That's getting married they are. I mean you know. They are legitimately es just tom. Hanks and meg ryan by comparison to the other couple. That doesn't even seem interested in each other and they're getting married that that's even worse to be. I don't think that they have. This is crazy. I don't think to lead have enough alone time for in their dates like they're always doing something the other couple and so. I don't think i don't have enough time to grow in their relationship. I think that's passed. They do. But maybe i don't know i just it. You don't need as much time together when you have that pass and you're able to work but they're fighting every seen all of it just as a judge like none of jobs you've ever read the movie ever acting in it. None of them are on the same thing. That's fair time for all the field. Smartest show we talk about. What in this movie. Gavison feels panda Man tear it's In general whenever he's on the screen. I think terrence does a really fun job and i really. I will say this for a movie. Where i don't think any of the characters have in my opinion lob redeeming features terrence does have that kind of redemption ark so to speak. I know it's a small redemption. But like he comes and i really liked that he comes. He's like hey listen. You helped me reconnect with what i used to believe in stuff. I think that's fine. Blueberry james magical ma'am i that was the one seen. I think when terence's husband said. Hey you you gotta try this jam like it was like terence's husband knows that terrence kind of may be lost as well yeah sucked up into the beverly hills lifestyle and like it's like that thing where you don't want to just call somebody out but you're like i'm not gonna keep kind of showing you what you're missing and the james. What did it. So i thought it was a sweet moment between the two of them. I thought the jam was a nice connection point to his his past and his home. And so i like that. It's a no for me. I'd i think that you probably all saw that coming. Nothing in this movie felt authentic or genuine or worthy of feel like it all felt like it was people doing a paint by numbers movie with different canvases. So it's a note for me. That's a good analogy. That was really good. One man. I appreciate that. Take away for another time to Unless we take another one come on.

"Now what our a kid later in the show gosh laypeople you know what you should have done is. We probably shouldn't pay ourselves million dollar salaries that we give it to the ads. We all have to make one million dollars eats insane. It's a rule that was a blood agreement that we are nothing. If we could just back off of that i mean. I think we'd be doing a little better. Yeah you cut down to one break. If we do like nine nine. We all drive korean automobiles the key hyundai. Try to match it with hyundai. He will pull. It's time for the hot tag is where we share exactly how he felt about this movie. We don't hold back. I got an argument again into this. Big argument with suzy publis. She's the area so much trash about japan. Hannah's holding back in the door because she keeps okay to be fair. She keeps taking the hot rotisserie chicken putting it right next to the milk. I'm going to call you on it. Don't do that why. She spoils the milk every time. It's so that she brings the milk cover out of the cold it if she put a chicken next to milk and a goal deduction milk would be fine. Well i need to apologize. I said you're making the chunky but susie but she took that and she's she ran with it. She's very she's saying you're takes are are soft cold like that you you know you've okay. What are the win for you. Susie coming out hot this movies like lord of the rings. How about that The extended digestion of lord of the rings. Long way too long and it has rings dislike lord of the rings. That's how it's like. Laura that's how it's like lord of the also very long very long would it Surprise you to learn that this movie still only roughly eighty three minutes. Although i think the math doesn't work out on that it is it is long movie guys. I was excited about this movie. I thought in the preview It looked good three stars. I gave it three stars. And i regret that decision within the first fifteen minutes. I thought i think. I've made a mistake and the movie does not improve for me. Here's why first of all i say and penny are are just. There's no chemistry there they are. I don't think that there's a lot chemistry there is. It's a boring relationship there any chemistry there. No chemistry there. It's a boring relationship. No chemistry class listen classic doses career. You get what you get with my career. No chemistry nokia movie donovan. Lindy better in this movie. I feel like lindy gotta go with but man. I don't like any of the characters except for tarrant electorates. He's the wedding planner. Thought he use the most interesting of the characters to me. It's a bunch of people complaining about. What is a really nice way that you're getting for free most of the time. They don't really even seem like they like each other most of the movie and so at the end when they finally get together by that i have no feelings for these people Yeah i just i'm not. I'm not really feeling this movie at all. it was kind of slog for me to watch overall. I hate that. Just not not real thrilled by this movie. That's hot man. Not thrilled not real thrilled. Not real thrilled. No chemistry no chemistry. So here's what i'm going to guess. I got four conversation hearts here okay. Four different things work them in my hot take. I love it. I thought this was nice. But i agree with panda. They of chemistry. I you know the the leaves are will are. Were whatever the couple that was getting married. I just couldn't by even a little of like just didn't get it at all I wouldn't i would never have said call meets either one of those couples. But you know i can see. I could see why you might get a little bit invested and the lead characters like the they were together. The more i was like. I don't hate what they're doing. You know the beach in the day and the dancing. I don't know it didn't not work for me. I thought terrace wonderful. I was like only you tear. It's only you my friend. Because he's he's doing a really good job. He was the best part of the movie. I agree with you. One hundred percent thought. He was great and the way that he came around. I thought that was really nice. All not my favorites from a story standpoint from a script stamp. When i thought it was week we were And what i look for these movies. I look for with that just reaches out and i'm just like hugged me and and this one didn't do it for me and so it's a path for brand little bit slower than i would like and so it's a pass but you know i'm excited for actually playing cuban things going to be surprised at the season. And there's there's my heart i think this one might be the worst of the season guys in a call. It early. I don't know how it could get worse than this like. I know there's only three movies left. Ones and aaron creko tyler. Hynes one's a mix up in the mediterranean ones emma. Knockoff those three. There's no way anything's gonna be near this movie. As far as bad. Four conversation hurts. Hug me ice nice. I remember only you only and Call me only uterus. That makes sense. That was the where where you said. I can't believe. I wanna call me call me. Yeah that's weird. yeah. I thought you did a great. I'm more invested in the bit that most were thought forgot you were doing. I remember towards the end when you said hug me and say i should have been listened. I thought i was actually. I was sitting there going. Hug it's interesting. This movie's abomination to filmmakers and photographers everywhere. And i don't know who should be more ashamed. And here's the thing is i've seen a little bit. I didn't read our chat. Because i don't read that on the facebook group. 'cause i don't wanna get spoiled but i saw a little bit on the twitter and people were complaining. The movie is bad because all of these people are inherently being the worst. And while it's weird because you get mad at terrence for not understanding that. She wants to wear her mom's dress and that's she should know that you could get mad at these people for being like. Hey these this stuff is free. you're not paying for anything. The reason that the movie is bad is because no one who's acting in this movie knows how to approach the script. This script is by drop jaw botkin. Who did project. Christmas wish and she writes very quick rat a tat dialogue. That's meant to be snarky. That's meant to be going very quickly. And everyone is taking a full breath but between every line in this movie it is like a middle school theater production where everyone's looking down breathing and then remembering. They're lying that they memorized while doing some script reading with the wall. It is just an absolute abomination. I just can't imagine anyone watching this movie and thinking. Oh yeah this is. This is what we come for. It was awful just terrible across the board. Yeah there's plenty. Wait what's but just the making of the movie was that bad. It was so terrible. It's the worst of the year. It's the worst of the year. And i don't even think it's close is more severe. I've seen a long time. Yeah i think that. Like the last week's with jen lilley takes us one little kiss. I think gaga's good. I mean i'm thinking here this christmas ring. I think this is better than the christmas rink for. This is down there with god. Wink and if i only had christmas it really is. It's bad not for me really.

A beverly hills wedding So they go to the beverly hills and the groom is uneasy. He doesn't want stuff on social media and they're gonna be posting stuff throughout the wedding and preparation leading up to whatever it's free sometimes you gotta take one for the team right boys but molly really hills wet you gotta but molly and corey are starting to spend a lot of time together you know the maid of honor best man doing activities and nothing helps men open wounds like crepes. I've said it a million times. They're planning really. This wedding isn't quite what's the bride and groom are feeling comfortable with. But it's beverly hills. It's got that beverly hills style on everything. They're not super thrilled about it. But it's free it. Keep feeling the pressures he keeps saying. Yeah sure that's fine molly and corier hanging out there by the beach. They almost kiss but she remembers. Seating charts are important. Gotta go take care of that They're all together.
