And that, by the way, is one of the many reasons why some people suggest that if the Biden administration decides to deep 6, Kamala Harris, because she's unpopular only 28% support her. That's ten points below the already low 20, 38% that support Joe Biden. And some people suggested that if she is replaced, she should be replaced by Stacey Abrams. Well, if you replace her with Stacey Abrams, which will, of course, then would appease the most loyal constituency of the black of the Democratic Party, which are black females. Kamala Harris may have a 28% popularity rating nationwide. But 72% of black voters. Support her, and the pole I saw wasn't broken down into gender, but I suspect that the percentage of black females is even higher. When you consider that 20% of black males voted for Donald Trump. A far less percentage of black females did. But even though Trump increased his percentage of the black vote from 8% in 2016 to 12% in 2020, but I digress. The only way that they'd ever replace Kamala Harris is with another black female. Because, as you know, the racial identity party could never abide to white males any longer at the ticket. In fact, I wrote a column about this. I called it the Kamala conundrum, it on Larry elder dot com check it out. And I talked about how the party has routinely referred to America as being systemically racist. And so how is the party that accuses America of being systemically racist going to remove the first black female? Who remains popular among black voters, not going to happen. They're stuck with her. "We'll just don't like don't go. Do anything brash He says well not take a break or go to california and he calls. He calls his friend janney. Who i can't think of the it'll it'll come to me but In in if he calls her just goes there. But there's a couple of sequences of course going to remember out of order. But they're so cool so basically he next thing you know he's in he's in a beverly like los angeles and again in this. Is the eighties So if you think hollywood in los angeles and beverly hills was la la land. Now in the post ought Back then it was a wedge and another is just a lot of mystique especially with beverly hills so you see leaky goes to beverly hills at source. Friend worked at a warehouse of an art dealer whereas friend jenny works and i. She's just trying to figure out he's just trying to get to the bottom of it right. I don't think he's been connected even all those stats other than his friend. Work to there so he goes to beverly hills and he checks he. I don't know where he first Gets the idea or how he pulls this off in also not sure where he gets his car from but at some point so he goes and checks into the hollywood beverly beverly hills hotel. That's what it's called right. And he checks in there and At another missing some secrets And he gets brought in and he goes into the police station and he's like first of all he's like telling he gets. I think the first people. I'd take him in our these two taggart and billy billy tag tagger in Oh man but there's two there's a young cop in an lake older gruff recap And they go into the station. And i it's like he's like holy cow. Look at how much funding you have and how fancy station is in. Then he meets like the head of the department there and He basically i. I think he tries. I think he like pulls a fast. When he says yemen helping lake anna case Some working but maybe he calls his boss and Yeah like immediately within five minutes is all three main characters. Take a liking to him. In the third character still be rough until he sees his lake Axel hassle like win him over. And it gets it just shows a lot of echo's current times Because it's like it kind of ingrained in the system. I guess in like say we'll have shown just treat me with respect Eventually he's like. I maybe i. He says he's just sound vacation and they say okay. Well Okay we'll Enjoy time then. Sorry about the mix up also talk to your boss and he says if you're investigating anything by they're coming home so i guess what i would call that secret like so there's a sequences there's like The shine of l. a. And then the fancy in the hotel newsletter comedy with him checking into the hotel end like whatever all over the top of hollywood beverly hills Meller stuff then. There's him dealing with the problematic police department and overcoming that and then of course he becomes friends I don't know pretty quickly. I.

"Think Now i'm picturing eddie murphy sitting on the hood of a car just looking cool and also accept the fact that all this could be wrong but show okay so back to the film so there eddie murphy is Alma said his name. I forgot the characters name. It'll be interesting me trying to remember anybody's name. It can hear his his like What do they call that his superintendent or whatever yellen adam oh alma said. I think it's three syllables Some you already since shoots command billy that what it is billy wright down now they can't be but so no billy is billy the wind way So okay he he's trying to make this deal and then something goes wrong. Something alerts the non the the the the smugglers to the fact that he's on the job in. I'm not sure what it is. It wasn't his slip up. Of course it was someone else like. Maybe they're listening in or maybe and then he even tries to ham that up lake Any says almost pulls it off but then of course there's an action secrets and then we see okay. Whoa so this movie's funny and we have a hero. Clearly in our hero is very confident and skilled but also likable end. There's going to be action so there's action sequence with the the truck in. He's in the back of the truck. Sure there's a car chasing behind and he's trying to diffuse the situation and eventually he does and he succeeds but he has to do it of course in a way that how we resolve things. A lot of times is too over the top So however you resolve date or whatever tactic. He uses some tactic. Of course not okay with the authority figures in. I'm not exactly sure what it was. But so he goes back to the office. Of course he's like a in with the regular like other work working officers and you can see he's popular in in had silica sense of humor or whatever like they say. Wow you're you're really somebody we look up to but then his boss is very upset with him and his boss is like very like us you loud words because you know. This is guessing eighties..

"Which i think was before this in a kind of started to show his range His character was similar in different in some ways in in that movie. It showed his confidence. I guess maybe that's part of. It is said like it was almost. You'd say you wouldn't use understated and eddie murphy especially eighties early nineties in a lot of things. But this was almost an understated role comparatively because he he's just being a cop And i really. I i just really think very very highly of this film so hoping whenever you watch it i like retain that and i guess you could check with me before we watch watching say scoots to should we rewatch it. Is it Like a like especially those that are younger. That have never seen it. Or maybe you're more familiar with The kind of over shop. It eddie murphy. Comedy of the arts in lake Were eddie murphy. We're seeing more characters and like a makeup. If based roles in in the cgi a this is a very young eddie murphy but very handsome suave but again understated casual swath i would say role in knows just like almost like a softer leading man. I don't know for me. You say this is the strangest thing verse. But very relatable. I would see much more like a put it up against a movie like Within a similar timeframe of a cop like inverted detective investigating. Which would be fletch. And i wonder would. I know the fletch source material. We had at work. So i know that's based on a book i don't know if beverly hills cop was but this one is much more straightforward in. It's very funny But it at i. It's nath forcing the humor forward in. It is like a little bit of a social commentary for eighties though. Edano again since i haven't seen in a while i don't know how deep about racism and classism so so if you haven't watched it's a movie called beverley hills cab became out in the eighties. That's kinda all remember. The reason it's i mean so all the reasons why it's so important to me so so i saw it.

You'll be hearing this a few months after that. But i'm not positive when you'll be hearing this but i talked about. Is the second run movie theater that he he had a huge police in my life in. Maybe i've done this movie before. But i can't pitcher it I mean how they've done over nine hundred pre recorded like nine hundred and thirty episodes Maybe a half so. Maybe i don't know maybe this is just be a bonus of me trying to remember but this also happened with the Princess bride reset. I thought i did this already. But then i said well i kinda did but this is like one of the movies is that really has a lot of meaning for me. I really love this movie. It's been a few years since rewatch did an pretty sure Watched it since. I entered adulthood or sprite in two thousand thirteen. But maybe not. I remember watching it pre those days been on a day when i was just kind of kicking back I guess taking a break between wedding events. One of my brothers weddings. So i don't know if this is a turn or the aunts but show. I remember watching this movie then. I am pretty sure. Seen it since it is rated r. So don't worry though if your kid listening don't oh boy. Don't worry but i just love this movie in. It is a movie that i don't know. So we get into it in sewer things. The name movie is It's original beverly hills cop as with most movies. I talk about if no idea when it came out is somewhere between nineteen eighty seven or six in nineteen ninety two though. I'm guessing at the end of the eighties. Eighty nine eighty eighty eight eighty nine. I do wonder how well this movie stands up. But and the i mean it gets a movie is probably matic things. I'm not remembering movie is a little bit about race in in systemic racism so like Wonder i don't know. I wonder how that's portrayed. I just like Because it's been a long time so we'll have to see like oh. Hopefully usually the less. You tend to watch a movie. After i've recorded. These would like to watch with my daughter in a. I don't know where this lanes in lake Because they're not good with dates. But i would like if i had to say is my personal opinion is this is probably in maybe again. It's just memory but one of eddie murphy's best performances in actually where he probably doesn't get enough credit for the amount of range today shows in a movie in one of the main reasons is. He's a little bit for most this movie. I don't know. I really 'cause they can your vividly in my mind. He has to do a lot of He has a lot more range in its comedic action role in a guess for a lot of us. I mean i know. He did metro. Remember seeing that. I don't remember much about it. But it was like a and if there's two or three beverly hills camps movies I think i was old enough to see two in the movie theater but one i was definitely not maybe not even to or maybe two. They made into a pg thirteen movie again. Not sure at any of this stuff. but a couple reasons whereas move he was a big deal one. It was are so. I didn't see it for a while too. It was a very different eddie murphy. Then eddie murphy of the late eighties in the nineties Like us in forty eight hours..

GMC powers zero-emission goals with 2024 HUMMER EV SUV
"All right. So let's start with the hummer suv. So we saw the hummer pickup truck. It was super bowl commercial. We saw it at barrett jackson scottsdale. They auctioned off vin number one when it becomes available. I saw it in person. The white one the prototype. It's massive and actually looks pretty cool. It's it's pretty bad ass. And what they're talking about like thousand horsepower. Zero to sixty in three seconds the crab walk mode it just has some pretty cool features that easier. Not like i against e. v. I just don't like the idea of people trying to take away the things that we we do love right so you know the we'd live when the headline is says. Why does the new hummer why is the second version of the humber. All the league have eight hundred sixty hasely over. Getting the hummer that was released is the four door pickup truck version and now. There's the hummer evi. Suv that's literally what they're calling it. The ev suv. And it's just as cool. I mean it looks bad ass. It has a removable roof panel. I'm not exactly sure if that's more like a target or that's kind of a t top thing with some sort of you know spine in the middle but yes so. It doesn't have the thousand horsepower. It only has eight hundred and thirty horsepower. World that we live this. Is there's There's there's the dual motor and then the three motor version right. And it'll be six hundred and twenty five horsepower or the three motor version will be eight hundred and thirty horsepower. And i know that's a little less than what they were saying on the pickup truck version. But it comes down to simply battery size and space. That's that's what it is is. The pickup truck version has a longer bed any longer chassis. So it has more room to put a battery down the middle in between the tires of this thing. And that's it the. Suv is a little bit smaller. Arguably more functional right is far as driving around town. Or all. The the hollywood and beverly hills people are going to pick up these

I had left being an agent where i had found everything from who wants to be a millionaire to cracker queer as folk and had translated them into america as the packaging agent and i laughed. Backed by barry diller to start my own company called rally and i had just begun reveling in win over to london for a work trip and was staying at my friend. Henrietta conrad's house and we were watching television. And i was literally flipping the channels and i came on to the office. This is episode one or two okay of the uk season one office. I wondering if it was for comedy or for real than quickly recognized what it was doing single camera no laugh track faux documentary with people who felt real and i kept watching and started laughing. Mazer did and we organized and had dinner with dan that night. Which are twenty four hours after you after you see it for the first time on television. You're having dinner with someone who could get you to ricky. Yes and additionally. I also wanted to be with dan. Dan was sasha baron. Cohen's partner allergy was on television. Was allie ardor your then no in the uk okay. But i'm with dan mazer yep. Dan is lovely brilliant in his own. Right and i start peppering questions about the office. And he gives me ricky cell phone number and so the next day. I call ricky around eleven o'clock in the morning and introduce myself on the phone and say i'd love to meet you. Are you in town. He goes actually. Yes me in soho at the starbucks this afternoon and i coordinate a meeting and i spent an hour with ricky talking about the office and very quickly we got along because we both love television and he truly was making me laugh even in those moment right over over the coffee at starbucks and so he clearly had chosen the location of the starbucks because he then says to me oh good news. My agent is right around the corner. Let's go meet with them so it was almost like he met me confirmed. I was okay roy. Conversation was interesting and then we walked over and met with dunkin' as his agent. And then duncan and i began a three month process to secure the rights. And it wasn't until dunkin. Help me unlock it. All that i realized. Both the bbc and ricky controlled the rights. I needed ricky and stephen merchant to actually get it done and agitate to get it done otherwise. It was never going to get done. Got it so you you deal with the bbc. And you deal with ricky steven. You have this partnership in place and where do you go into the united states. I immediately start making phone calls and saying. Are you aware of the show the office. Do you know what it is. Do you think it would interest you. And this is probably now a month after are so run. The show has started to gain buzz. It's aired its cycle in the uk. Its initial six episodes and so it has an awareness. Now it's a thing right not a big thing but to anyone in england it in the television industry. You're aware so. I'm i'm back at the states reaching out to people one of the incredible things about hollywood which was a huge advantage for me to do. Well was that people in hollywood are pretty insular and don't like to travel. They think you need a passport to get from burbank to beverly hills. That is travel and so many people at this time in american television had no clue connection about anything beyond la. Right and only one exac at the time knew what i was talking about was a guy named nick grad. Who worked at fx and he knew what the show was and he loved the show. Kevin riley was running fx. At the time. I'd gone to less mooned us he passed. I went to gail berman. She passed immediately. Didn't get it. Hbo said we'll never do a remake. They clearly have altered that thinking that that time they were like. We won't do a format and showtime wasn't doing shows like this right. I didn't go to abc. 'cause i just knew it wasn't abc. Right and i was starting to tease. Nbc with it and kevin than got named the head of nbc. And i bring it up to him. And i say would you wanna do it here and kevin says absolutely little. Did he know he was actually my only buyer that time. He was the only one right who wanted everyone else. All of television everyone else had passed. Now are you in kevin's like let's do it. Like let's let's make it. You know i'll give you a pilot movement and then kevin's boss though. Who is very involved in his life. Jeff zucker didn't really like it that much because it was his single camera. Nola back injury. I got it like it was a hard pill for them to swallow. I was also like they didn't want the game show back in prime time when i brought millionaire. Everyone thought that was cheesy. Daytime like no no. This will change. Tv know you gotta look at it from how to push the genre and pushed the envelope. So that you can expand versus always play for defense right and i was like this is another level and this is potentially transformative of television and with that can come great great

Woman Shot in Leg During Robbery at Los Angeles County Restaurant
"Right now we have a chance to speak to a man named shy shy ellison he was the guy who had the expensive watch stolen from him at gunpoint in beverly hills yesterday style. The restaurant and there was a three got into it with the thieves. They were three thieves. One gun There was a struggle gun. Went off Grazed a woman's leg shot to be taken to the hospital. Let's get reason. He was the owner of the watch. You try to fight off the robbers. Welcome to the john. And ken show i. How are you. We're probably a better place than you are right now. What explain what happened. I was eating lunch with a client of mine and offend uh right next to the jewelry store that i own on cannon drive at l. taio and we just ordered a drink and These three young guys probably in their twenties wearing hoodies were walking out of bounds. Some on cannon told me and it's always our table and one of them grabbed me from behind while sitting at the taylor Joking me and putting it onto my head the other two were holding my arm and trying to take the watch of my wrist and When i had a chance while they were doing it. I grabbed the gun with both hands and struggled with them to the ground in during the struggle. Couple of bullets went off. 'cause the guy's finger on the trigger that lady that was sitting few tables down got Grazed by one of the bullets. We kept on fighting on the ground. One of the guys The rodney ren with the with the watch was fighting with the other two. I ended up getting the gun. The gun was in my hand and to started running on foot. One of them might have gotten shot in the altercation But i ended up with a gun and police game to curb gun and the rest of the store you know.
The Eddie Murphy Hall of Fame
"Are joined by van leith in the cost of higher learning and eddie murphy expert to break down the career. One of the greats. What what i what. I what i was going on with guys hanging in there excited to talk about eddie. We're gonna do a hall of fame here so for the folks out there who have never heard hall of fame episode very briefly. Break down what we do on these episodes. We have built halls of fame for tom. Hanks roger deakins. Nancy meyers toshiro buffoon. A monster movies and most recently george clooney. So it's time for eddie. What we doing we build. A hall is ten films from a career. No more no less. He's got forty movies so we got a lot to talk about here. I'm going to start with this. Amanda eddie murphy. What do you think. I think of multiple eddie. Murphy's i think of a lot of characters all in one movie. This is going to be interesting van. I'm really excited to talk to you about all of these because i've been listening to unsurprisingly. There are a lot of rewatch ables movies. Eddie murphy movies on rewatch bulls and i was listening to some of them in. You're on several of them. And you know i had that podcast thing where you want to respond to the person but you know it's a podcast so now you're here and it's a privilege to get to talk to you but for me eddie murphy is a little bit of. It's a generational cork for me. Because i am just. I think a little bit more than both of you and so i became kind of like movie aware movie sentient like mid nineties. Nine hundred ninety five nine hundred ninety six. And i've done a lot of catch up but if you become aware of movies in the mid nineties that means that the first eddie murphy. You get the nutty professor and then milan. And then shrek. I saw shrek in theaters. Not above it. So you know at that point. He's like the elder statesmen of comedy super established. Like i knew the beverly hills cop steam song and dance to it while before i saw it but kind of understanding him as like family eddie murphy and then catching up on everything else. Interesting chronological or not chronological murphy. Experience for me. Then you want to do your history with eddie. I know you are been living with him for a long time. Yes i have been So i hambur what year this was and i don't wanna insult my parents. Every time i mentioned my parents. I get some minor detail wrong and then i have to hear about it into along to our phone call. Your parents listen airpods today. Let's no your show's. I wish they wouldn't but that's nice. Yeah i wish they would but they My father was taking me to see a movie. We were all going to the movies but this time we were breaking it off like my father was taking me to see one of the superman movies. It's either three or four and my sister. My grandmother my mother went to see beverly hills cop two and this was my first experience with with with seeing people so jazz to see a movie because they went this way. Like we went to the superman franchise. I fell off by that point so we went this way and they go this way when they go this way. They're all of these people over there. And i'm like daddy i wanna go over here and he's i know that's too old for you. We're gonna go watch superman. And i say that because that's the moment that i actually became movie sentient by. That's the start of it. That's like what are these people into. Before that i can't tell you when i i kind of became aware of eddie murphy. Because he's like michael jackson in the sense that there was never a time. I wasn't aware of him. I was born in nineteen eighty so by the time. I start getting Information downloaded into me eddie. Murphy's a part of that he's like a part of that thing but the first time. I realized that this guy isn't just a do that. I see on tv or the guy that that he is. The biggest thing in the world is what i saw. People excited to go for it felt. So that's my that's my memory of him and it's not even necessarily what you might call one of his mega classics like beverly hills. Cop two was the event that you can remember that says a lot. And that's eighty seven net says a lot about where we were with. Eddie he was kind of in the middle of i. There are very few movie star runs in the history of movies like the one he had in the eighties. The rise to fame which starts on. Tv i guess tom hanks Robin williams maybe In terms of just successful movies maybe will in there but those movies weren't weren't quite the same as well. what is there were talking about. It's really remarkable when you think about it. There's no like they're not like high concepts with willa was like he needed to be punching an alien in the face to get to this level and like eddie movies are just like it's especially in the eighty s. Eddie is just running around doing stuff. That's that is what this movie is. He's he's being harassed whether he's a cop or he's a convict fresh outta jail or if he's a guy off the street who gets taken into financial institution like it's just it's entirely built around his persona and his sense of humor which is is unusual. We don't see that very much. These

Dan a ton of how many cracks last i checked over thousand pair of crumbs. A thousand pairs so two thousand shoe to also crocodiles as well. She collects both. She lives on a huge crocodile. Thousand crocodiles two thousand. She has for every crock. She buys pair crocs for every pair of crocs she also she also has the shoes yes which is the payer the payer. She also buys to to cross. "Houses. A great imitation. There's no doubt about no no no and that's why we're going strong. That's why it is your love for each. it's just they don't call you al for nothing for nothing. Pendle is can have the panthers the l. Yeah you're gonna be pandals else. Hey i know someone who can renew your vows for you really really. Did they do it. Like maybe in tampa they anywhere anything works. Wow yeah i hear. There's a three day waiting period forgetting mary anytime. What if you're not the first fifteen and he just kind of got it down to where we're just doing jokes for fifty people love not upset about. Hey i know. It's beverly hills but people have beer at weddings. That's not the item there so just taken aback by somebody who wants to have a beer at a wedding is absurd. Like you're spending millions of dollars told me there's an open bar at that wedding with what we were so low class and all of our friends are so low there. They're tasting champagnes. I'm assuming that's for the toasts. That's not or you mean to tell me they're going to the wedding and everyone's just drinking champagne tough. That's a tough one anything better than going to a wedding. You're not excited about it. You're just like i can't believe this is happening. And then you show but it's an open bar off okay. I mean look got bigger. Things are look. Also if they have chick-fil-a nuggets as well does that does weddings with mars. A nugget trae awesome. What we spend all our money in the open bar. What do we do for food nude. Can we stop like like. Let's make weddings fun again. That's what i you know what i'm talking about. Get those nuggets. Like are great like. Stop it with your sideshow bar and nuggets with an open bar. I'm there out go to anybody's wedding if you saved them. Save the money on the like. Don't do invitations. Just let me know what's happening. i'll be there. I'll be there. And if i'm there. I want nuggets. And i wanna know how all open bar wedding. Open nacho bar all my gosh open chicken wing bar open cream sundae bar open alcohol bar hop. I mean i'm there. Why are we planning weddings. I i wonder people wouldn't find our weddings appeal. They're wrong how can tell you that Speaking of wrong brennan penny in this movie says. I don't think i could head back to oregon without seeing the ocean now. I don't really care where they live in oregon. Your job is taking people out onto the ocean. That is what you do for a living sir. I'm just begging. You hear acts like the character makes sense. You can't see you see the ocean every day every once it gets in your blood though man i can't i can't i. Just don't understand. I get it like organs. A big state. I'm not saying. They live near to the ocean but his job is to take people out on the ocean. How is this something he has to do before he goes back. Home doesn't make any sense terrible talking. About what what about. What the hallmarks have you guys. Consider doing those. My idea for this segment would be. It's where we discuss any questions that we have that we would love some sort of clarity to after watching this. Movie panda wok. Why aren't they into social media. Why is jordan so frightened of the social. I mean he. He's manley aggressive about that. I think jordan is like in the witness protection. Yes yes yes yeah. He is much very upset about all of it. Dancing the there filming him wall seriously man like when he's eating the like get a thing. I totally get like not want like. Don't put my kids on social media. Like i'm totally but your grownup like what's like in you're in the witness protection program. This is the world that you live at bow tries is just a part of it. Don't worry too much because terrence makes millions of dollars by being social media influence or. He's not going to have a lot of you and your brother just walking through the hotel there may be like a couple of seconds like it's not going to be all over the internet mad about the dancing things like that. My my other one is the dancing thing that they posted did seem not nice it did. It did have some snark to it like they were making fun of the couple. Not knowing how to dance right. What's up with that tear. It's like a lot of stuff that it all depends on whose side you wanna be. There's a lot of stuff that terence could be faulted for of being awful. Yeah yeah wanted to for sure. But that's the same goes for every character in the movie but that's part of the problem. I think what you're saying like terrence isn't a good guy but his. He's so likable like his personality is really great. And he's not like snarky page in this movie heat like this poor girl. Imagine a woman coming up to you and saying oh. I want to wear the wedding dress of my mother and and talking her out of the trees a monster monster but we like like what is his deal understand. I just need a timeline of events for this thing. I think that's my big issue because first of all they say The weddings going to be on valentine's day and then they immediately say that's in six weeks which means happy new year to you folks but but also it means their six weeks. All these people have jobs they work. And the next day they wanna play beverly hills in beverly hills for. I don't know. I don't know a few days and then come back and i feel like the wedding like the next day or two away. So where are the six weeks like. How long do they spend in each place. So here's my thinking was in this. Because i had the same question i think what they do is they get. They fly up to plan and get flies him back and then they fly back for the wedding so he would have worked. Had they had the beverly hills wet correct but they said no go. They went home and so it makes you think that they ended up because they the only reason they were going to have the wedding. That soon was. Because i. I believe at one point. I heard three weeks. I think there are going to spend three weeks in beverly hills planning it so fly home. Okay my next question subsequent question as you probably also have his how all these people taking three weeks off of work. Well let's go back little wet. Well let's think about it corey you can do it every once Molly she just takes pictures whenever somebody who doesn't even sell them online and the other two people we don't care about their josh door join runs. The farm doesn't join. Russell far formed for three weeks. Doing it you bet you bet you could. Hey i'm getting married. Can you watch weeks weeks pesticide on this and then and then her what does she do. We don't know see some teacher. She's.

"That was good. I guess that kind of thing. Yeah me too. I thought it was great. By the way what part of show where we talk about what in this movie minutes go. Wait panda this. One actually might have an answer to it but it's also not big enough for what the hallmark that makes sense so as our wing for sophia. The girl who's the sister to pull up. She's getting ready to photograph the engagement. She's pulling up and they're waiting for her and she gets a message on her phone that said and she says oh she's almost here Here in just a couple of minutes and then she runs to go. Hide brook okay. So here's my question brooks hiding like brooks brooks is not supposed to like be there. Why is she getting notified that the sister is on the way like maybe some. She's coordinating with somebody else or like the people in the barn. You know everybody's waiting on the born like somebody said just texted. Hey she just left where she was coming from. I don't know it. just it makes it. he would be the one who would just that was just. I know there's a dumping. But i was a little confused by that at the very end of the sweepstake commercial where the guy terrence is talking about. Hey if you sign up you get a free. Beverly hills wedding. His commercial ends with the end. It just. I just love that. It's like a happily ever after kind of thing like a hollywood movie. The i don't know it's a komo whatever And then finally sophia says at one point today was fun. The four of us hanging out again felt like old times. They're fighting the entire previous scene and like does that feel like old time. Sufi is super fund. Guys like it. Just don't understand. So i mean i had this whole way. What is like. Why is everyone so frazzled. About six weeks when like they're doing it all for you live. I know they still had their in like their input on. You had to find the dress. Sure but like you don't have to find a venue like part of the reason why you wait so long you have all this planet of the venue you gotta find the venue gotta figure out who's gonna catering and they're doing all this but they're just putting their input of like what they would like food like so like. Why are you so frazzled. Six weeks engagement. And everything's paid for. That sounds awesome. Yeah they couldn't do all the housing scott be less excited about a million dollar wedding like they. They don't they don't. They're not excited at all. And i get that you. Maybe think it's too soon or you don't like some of the choices. But there's zero excitement about a multimillion dollar wedding which is wild for sure she this when they're sitting by the pool the to bros. The brother has something on his nose. Kinda looks like chocolate. What and i was like this is the first time we noticed those knows next scene. It's gone what do you think it. Why do you think he took a sip of the beverage because they had a little every day. that's why i never. They shouldn't have stuff in their cups because it gets on their noses. Why four luke. Because i was like oh you must have like a like a mole on his nose or something. That's interesting no no just some sort of some sort of something. I t- terrance. Says a beverly hill wedding can take place anywhere. And i'm here to tell you i k. Eight yep fair berry without the beverly hills just a wedding last one. you know. this is obviously such a. you know. Hallmark can't do technology but there's just a few things in this movie that are that are so wild to me technology wise that i can't believe this is still happening. Yeah i can't believe it one. This is a million dollar wedding. It is a wedding planner for the stars and his assistant is shooting the video on a camera from ten years ago. Came like it is absurd. Why why and it's for social yes. It's for social media and then that same guy says let's do a boomerang schuster boomerang this way which you can't do in the story or else it will show be wonky. You don't do that. And then last. But not least she has three gene. Honor foundry three. It's not forty. Three g three d just calling three g from y what brutal. It's not i just wanna know. Why when when whoever's editing this movie and his building the phone thing because apparently they can't just use the screen like i don't understand that either but when you're building out the phone for the movie why put three g using she use something from before identical and that's the only thing i can figure y just an old one for years and years ago doesn't make any sense. Three g was a great. Gt three really such a good job as a really good g. like to g to g was so sad after three japan's equal So this woman do your say first of all. She wants to be a professional photographer. I think i think that's our goal. The reason i'm not sure is one. She continually puts her finger in front of the lens while she's taking pictures like not once. It doesn't happen once. It happens two or three times and then the second reason. I'm not sure she wants to be professional. Photographer is is somehow as she looks back on her story career. The thing that's eluded. Her grasp is selling her portrait's online. She's like i thought by now. I'd be selling pictures online. I have news for you. If you've got twenty five dollars in or credit card you can sell your pictures online. There are numerous websites that will sell your pictures for you online. It is not a high hurdle to clear. Everyone can clear it. It's easy not hard. Not sure your professional photographer the other couple. I don't remember the name. Sophia in something corey. The first time they meet. It feels like they met last week on a zoom call like they have. He's like sophia. So george sophia. Hi how are you. Hi jordan awkward. Hug and i couldn't believe that they were engaged. I couldn't believe it. I just didn't understand and i do want to get this right. There's zero budget for this wedding zero and brooke. Your sees big plan is inter a bunch of drawings. That's her plan. Is if i enter enough drawings i'll get a free wedding or free stuff and i don not a viable plan or viable backup. It's it's just a bad idea. I i don't. I don't understand it Tarrant says the invitations set the tone for your entire marriage up. They do not your entire wedding your entire life together. The tone is set for your for the until death. Do as part by the wedding invitation. That's bold spoiled. What was your wedding invitation like. It was an hour an owl. These ladies are morales. Well no it was a now putting his arm another. Somebody drew it for someone drew and you feel good about that representing your cell tower. Yeah and i'll tell you why it's domino effect. Because the because he goes onto. Explain imitations Let you know what kind of wedding it's going to be. You don't want bad expectations going entire. If you said say that invitation set the tone for the entire wedding. i'm here. I'm imagine you start off on the wrong foot and then it just sets the tone for the rest of your marriage you start. What do you mean you start off on the wrong. Well if people get the wrong feelings about your people see an invitation and they get the wrong idea about at that could totally ruin your life together. Significant doesn't help it. put the batteries out in the. Okay all right. I understand that.

"Bad for me. I think it's it's not that low i. It's it's it's it's it's in the bottom half of the classic. Its forced to the christmas. I hate the christmas during just kind of occurring to me. The more i see penny is that i. I kind of like i. I kind of like brennan penny movies. So like i'm i'm kind of like anytime he's in there. I'm like good time with this guy. I'm having a good time with this pal. do you think the issue is brooke. You don't like burke. I i would say going into this movie and my mind i would have put both of these two leads on my lower half of the regulars but i think pennies kind of growing on. Here's kind of like. He's kinda like i didn't mind him in this movie. I the last one. Little christmas charm law was the first time i was like okay. So here's the pride of mine pro think we can. I could sum up my feelings on this movie in a sense. Which is the two leads. Believe they are making an old hallmark movie and the screenwriter and everyone else are thinking. They're making a new hallmark movie. Like those to brooke. Your saying brennan penny are acting in this way that only works in that old formula. That homework isn't using as much anymore. Like this formula. They're trying to tell jokes and they're trying to be funny and they're trying to be modern hip and not have people. Just be nice to each other right out of the box but penny and yours say are still trying to play that those old archetypes of what hallmark lead is. That's my big issue with the movie. It just never jaws because and they're still more interesting to me than the other couple in the movie. That's getting married they are. I mean you know. They are legitimately es just tom. Hanks and meg ryan by comparison to the other couple. That doesn't even seem interested in each other and they're getting married that that's even worse to be. I don't think that they have. This is crazy. I don't think to lead have enough alone time for in their dates like they're always doing something the other couple and so. I don't think i don't have enough time to grow in their relationship. I think that's passed. They do. But maybe i don't know i just it. You don't need as much time together when you have that pass and you're able to work but they're fighting every seen all of it just as a judge like none of jobs you've ever read the movie ever acting in it. None of them are on the same thing. That's fair time for all the field. Smartest show we talk about. What in this movie. Gavison feels panda Man tear it's In general whenever he's on the screen. I think terrence does a really fun job and i really. I will say this for a movie. Where i don't think any of the characters have in my opinion lob redeeming features terrence does have that kind of redemption ark so to speak. I know it's a small redemption. But like he comes and i really liked that he comes. He's like hey listen. You helped me reconnect with what i used to believe in stuff. I think that's fine. Blueberry james magical ma'am i that was the one seen. I think when terence's husband said. Hey you you gotta try this jam like it was like terence's husband knows that terrence kind of may be lost as well yeah sucked up into the beverly hills lifestyle and like it's like that thing where you don't want to just call somebody out but you're like i'm not gonna keep kind of showing you what you're missing and the james. What did it. So i thought it was a sweet moment between the two of them. I thought the jam was a nice connection point to his his past and his home. And so i like that. It's a no for me. I'd i think that you probably all saw that coming. Nothing in this movie felt authentic or genuine or worthy of feel like it all felt like it was people doing a paint by numbers movie with different canvases. So it's a note for me. That's a good analogy. That was really good. One man. I appreciate that. Take away for another time to Unless we take another one come on.

"Now what our a kid later in the show gosh laypeople you know what you should have done is. We probably shouldn't pay ourselves million dollar salaries that we give it to the ads. We all have to make one million dollars eats insane. It's a rule that was a blood agreement that we are nothing. If we could just back off of that i mean. I think we'd be doing a little better. Yeah you cut down to one break. If we do like nine nine. We all drive korean automobiles the key hyundai. Try to match it with hyundai. He will pull. It's time for the hot tag is where we share exactly how he felt about this movie. We don't hold back. I got an argument again into this. Big argument with suzy publis. She's the area so much trash about japan. Hannah's holding back in the door because she keeps okay to be fair. She keeps taking the hot rotisserie chicken putting it right next to the milk. I'm going to call you on it. Don't do that why. She spoils the milk every time. It's so that she brings the milk cover out of the cold it if she put a chicken next to milk and a goal deduction milk would be fine. Well i need to apologize. I said you're making the chunky but susie but she took that and she's she ran with it. She's very she's saying you're takes are are soft cold like that you you know you've okay. What are the win for you. Susie coming out hot this movies like lord of the rings. How about that The extended digestion of lord of the rings. Long way too long and it has rings dislike lord of the rings. That's how it's like. Laura that's how it's like lord of the also very long very long would it Surprise you to learn that this movie still only roughly eighty three minutes. Although i think the math doesn't work out on that it is it is long movie guys. I was excited about this movie. I thought in the preview It looked good three stars. I gave it three stars. And i regret that decision within the first fifteen minutes. I thought i think. I've made a mistake and the movie does not improve for me. Here's why first of all i say and penny are are just. There's no chemistry there they are. I don't think that there's a lot chemistry there is. It's a boring relationship there any chemistry there. No chemistry there. It's a boring relationship. No chemistry class listen classic doses career. You get what you get with my career. No chemistry nokia movie donovan. Lindy better in this movie. I feel like lindy gotta go with but man. I don't like any of the characters except for tarrant electorates. He's the wedding planner. Thought he use the most interesting of the characters to me. It's a bunch of people complaining about. What is a really nice way that you're getting for free most of the time. They don't really even seem like they like each other most of the movie and so at the end when they finally get together by that i have no feelings for these people Yeah i just i'm not. I'm not really feeling this movie at all. it was kind of slog for me to watch overall. I hate that. Just not not real thrilled by this movie. That's hot man. Not thrilled not real thrilled. Not real thrilled. No chemistry no chemistry. So here's what i'm going to guess. I got four conversation hearts here okay. Four different things work them in my hot take. I love it. I thought this was nice. But i agree with panda. They of chemistry. I you know the the leaves are will are. Were whatever the couple that was getting married. I just couldn't by even a little of like just didn't get it at all I wouldn't i would never have said call meets either one of those couples. But you know i can see. I could see why you might get a little bit invested and the lead characters like the they were together. The more i was like. I don't hate what they're doing. You know the beach in the day and the dancing. I don't know it didn't not work for me. I thought terrace wonderful. I was like only you tear. It's only you my friend. Because he's he's doing a really good job. He was the best part of the movie. I agree with you. One hundred percent thought. He was great and the way that he came around. I thought that was really nice. All not my favorites from a story standpoint from a script stamp. When i thought it was week we were And what i look for these movies. I look for with that just reaches out and i'm just like hugged me and and this one didn't do it for me and so it's a path for brand little bit slower than i would like and so it's a pass but you know i'm excited for actually playing cuban things going to be surprised at the season. And there's there's my heart i think this one might be the worst of the season guys in a call. It early. I don't know how it could get worse than this like. I know there's only three movies left. Ones and aaron creko tyler. Hynes one's a mix up in the mediterranean ones emma. Knockoff those three. There's no way anything's gonna be near this movie. As far as bad. Four conversation hurts. Hug me ice nice. I remember only you only and Call me only uterus. That makes sense. That was the where where you said. I can't believe. I wanna call me call me. Yeah that's weird. yeah. I thought you did a great. I'm more invested in the bit that most were thought forgot you were doing. I remember towards the end when you said hug me and say i should have been listened. I thought i was actually. I was sitting there going. Hug it's interesting. This movie's abomination to filmmakers and photographers everywhere. And i don't know who should be more ashamed. And here's the thing is i've seen a little bit. I didn't read our chat. Because i don't read that on the facebook group. 'cause i don't wanna get spoiled but i saw a little bit on the twitter and people were complaining. The movie is bad because all of these people are inherently being the worst. And while it's weird because you get mad at terrence for not understanding that. She wants to wear her mom's dress and that's she should know that you could get mad at these people for being like. Hey these this stuff is free. you're not paying for anything. The reason that the movie is bad is because no one who's acting in this movie knows how to approach the script. This script is by drop jaw botkin. Who did project. Christmas wish and she writes very quick rat a tat dialogue. That's meant to be snarky. That's meant to be going very quickly. And everyone is taking a full breath but between every line in this movie it is like a middle school theater production where everyone's looking down breathing and then remembering. They're lying that they memorized while doing some script reading with the wall. It is just an absolute abomination. I just can't imagine anyone watching this movie and thinking. Oh yeah this is. This is what we come for. It was awful just terrible across the board. Yeah there's plenty. Wait what's but just the making of the movie was that bad. It was so terrible. It's the worst of the year. It's the worst of the year. And i don't even think it's close is more severe. I've seen a long time. Yeah i think that. Like the last week's with jen lilley takes us one little kiss. I think gaga's good. I mean i'm thinking here this christmas ring. I think this is better than the christmas rink for. This is down there with god. Wink and if i only had christmas it really is. It's bad not for me really.

You love hanging out with the boys in the beverly hills wedding so ready. Beverly hills wedding originally aired on february six twitter twenty one. This molly's a photographer who loves shooting pictures of love. She loves it so her brother is getting engaged. She's there to take pictures of the nice little engagement His fiance's brother is her axe. You guys following following diagram on so it's like you know molly and corey. They're in love and molly's brother is in love with corey. Sister is a big big family. Runamuck there i'll tell you what. Why so good. Oh good. I'll put there's too many people in state. It is so one hundred creaking concern little worried. We got closer. We did those house of blues. North myrtle off front. It's a great house blues. So his name's corey. He shows up to celebrate the engagement. Malia psych watts. I didn't see this happening. And it is clear that maybe they're not super comfortable being around each other korean molly. There were together for a while. He left to travel see the world and he didn't even ask her to come along. Just said i'm i'm out. Skeets didn't leave on a very good note. Mali's trying to plan. The wedding doesn't have a lot to work with. And so she decides. I'm going to enter sweepstakes for a beverly hills wedding beverly hills wedding nice. She wins yeah. A beverly hills wedding So they go to the beverly hills and the groom is uneasy. He doesn't want stuff on social media and they're gonna be posting stuff throughout the wedding and preparation leading up to whatever it's free sometimes you gotta take one for the team right boys but molly really hills wet you gotta but molly and corey are starting to spend a lot of time together you know the maid of honor best man doing activities and nothing helps men open wounds like crepes. I've said it a million times. They're planning really. This wedding isn't quite what's the bride and groom are feeling comfortable with. But it's beverly hills. It's got that beverly hills style on everything. They're not super thrilled about it. But it's free it. Keep feeling the pressures he keeps saying. Yeah sure that's fine molly and corier hanging out there by the beach. They almost kiss but she remembers. Seating charts are important. Gotta go take care of that They're all together. They're tasting hors d'oeuvres and those low puff pastries with green stuff on 'em nasty and they're like we hate these and all it all just avid. So we we hate all of this. I hate the dress. I hate beverly hills. I hate you go back to the far where we belong so they call off the wedding that go back and the wedding planner earlier in the movie was handed some form jam blueberry jail. That's exactly right because they will live on on the farm bluebird look at you legitimate farm and he has his job jam and he's like okay but.

"In a job that we do not deem worthy because we live on Beverly Hills why does she even lose her job which he do I? Volunteer thing yeah also, yeah. She part of the organization to some level because she wasn't just a troop leader And I don't know. But clearly, he was very passionate about that. She lost. You know. Yeah. I mean I. Thought I thought all that was not I mean obviously, there are those class issues but then they're also, of course, there's an extended unfortunate seeing. In which Phyllis, neff Ler has constructed a teepee in her living room. Yeah and as wearing a headdress and obviously that is very bad. Very inappropriate totally inappropriate and I. Think there are a lot of little. It's very like. it's a movie again movies of the time it's almost almost completely white. There are people who aren't white within the film, but it's mainly white people centered in the movie. Yes and any kind of mention of people who aren't white in the movie is very, very brief very stereotypical very much caricatures. I mean, all those things I think can definitely. Well that's what you your your your people of color are the housekeeper the gardener. Yeah. Yeah. You know I think there's one or two members of the troupe who aren't white but That's pretty much it..

"Valda. Lender. Yeah. because she breaks her ankle and you have to cross the finish line with your old troop including your troop leader and so and isn't that just a statement about? Togetherness and they create a they. They have like a makeshift stretcher and they collect Valda. To Beverly Hills does and they drag her back to the finish line and therefore win. The Jamboree and they get the the the you know the the. There is like look they played fair and we're good people, and so they deserve to win and the red feathers cheated their whole way. But once again, a little tainted by the fact that it's like well, you know in the real world when you grow up crazy rich, maybe it's a lot easier to you know never have to hustle and figure out a way to cut corners or get ahead. So I don't know it's a little awkward enough feel bad for the red feathers I. It's definitely true. I see all that now because the the message is just play by the. Rules and everything will work out for you and it's like well, no. Yeah. If you're already really rich, right the rules were made for you but for everybody else no I mean like if you just play by the rules, it doesn't necessarily work out. It's it's it's like the bootstrap idea like we'll just you know work hard work harder next time red feathers I feel bad. I. Was Thinking about that and I was talking about the character of plunder who is like what a name, the other troop leader who's trying to undo phyllis because she hates everything she stands for and. She's like the real deal kind of. Survivalist Yeah Wilderness girl basically Sydney is a troop. Well, you find out early on she says that she's she says, introduces herself as a widow. And her and her daughter do this together and she super intense about it. There's a whole other story here that we don't get that like I really felt sorry for Valda..

"Yes that's. Still in your met. Wow. I felt so embarrassed because I wasn't trying to skip I. was so embarrassed at the thought and that someone perceived her to be breaking rules that she could never return I never returned. Why can't I did a little better than than you I went to I think two weeks of girl scout meetings The first one I remember we made that banana pudding with the Nilo wafers. That was a good memory, and then I I only joined because I wanted to go to the Mall Aachen and then I quit quit at the Mall Aachen, because I was there for the sweet sweet world of science shopping after hours experience. Yeah I don't blame you there we also. We had a lock in, but it was at Cosi. Oh, even better didn't walk in and Co man. I did a lot of stuff in girl scouts and is remember joining his dad was like no fee joining. Cookie. Cookie. Along the cooking. So that and I. I don't remember I mean well, when you get older I, guess the Jamboree. I against you that. Yeah. And it's pretty intense in the. So in the film, the the climax is. The teams that sell enough cookies get to participate in the jamboree. And of course, troop Beverly Hills sells. For. Everybody else. Yeah. because like I don't think they highlight that enough because one of the parents like if you want them to sell these cookies, why don't we just by them? Phyllis? We're all rich people. Yeah. We're in the room together. Doors are shut. We can just say it out loud. We'll just. We're all rich here can't we just buy the cookies or whatever, and I don't know and she's like well, I'm trying to get the community involved and then proceeds to like sell them to all the rich people. So yeah, like on Rodeo drive or the fence fashion show or Not for. The other girl scouts might have..

"All, right. So back to troop beverly, hills so yes, it is comprised of collection of young ladies who have money for various reasons. We kind of get like little sneak peeks into an and it is it is really weird to see a movie I think in especially right now in twenty twenty where like. All of their situations are meant to make us feel kind of bad for them on a hall of them but a lot of them most of them. Yeah. Yeah. Like. One's parents travel a lot. Say it that way. She's Her parents like are never around they? They actually they they have a trip on her birthday and there's that wonderfully delivered line where this very rich little girl stands there and goes. Monte. Carlo. They, there's another one like you said, who's who is not they're not as rich at the moment or like their their wealth is threatened perhaps because their dad can't get any acting jobs which phyllis helps them with. That's the thing you gotta know about Phyllis Nadler isn't that She's all about Altruism chur she helps him get a job as the Godfather. A movie about the. she. I I guess has a heart to heart with Chico parents about like hey, you keep leaving her and she said. I. Don't know. She makes all these parents realize error of their ways. in saves her marriage in the process, of course. She really just doesn't all. I always loved the fashion of it used to fascinate me. The fashions in this film especially once they do the So instead, they need to find creative ways to sell cookies. And one of the things they do is a fashion show. Where they take all of the Wilderness grow uniforms and Make them fabulous and I used to be obsessed with that. WAS, so. Fascinating. Yeah. I. Bet. Charlie liked that part that part and she loved the both her and Cooper dance to its cookie time Oh that's good. That's good. Damn good jam on down it's cookie. I did not realize that song and embedded itself somewhere recesses of my brain because that came out. I'm like I know every word this song but. Don't remember this movie. That and every once in a while where you're just standing there and like spacing out and then you're like. Through What am I doing is that a universal experience? You think a lot of people say isn't it? At least if you had an older sister that was obsessed with troop beverly hills and it was constantly played. It's really weird. I don't know why because other than like the story of the parents getting divorced and then getting back together there was nothing in there for me to connect to We didn't grow up rich and Beverly Hills I. I went to. My middle school was called Beverly Hills but. I did for a long time growing up I thought that song it's like Beverly Hills. That's. About that was about the middle school here because that was where I was also supposed to go to middle school and it was like, well, that's Kinda crazy. No but they did they did have we did have sweatshirts back then that said Beverly Hills to five seven five..

"I know everybody's going through I'm lucky I should I should say this I am very grateful that our school district and our T. in our school in particular school in our classes and our teachers have been. So supportive of this have created a virtual classroom, all their own that allow the kids to see each other that our school district gave us ipads. There are meals available if kids need them, you can pick them up every week. They've really they've gone above and beyond to try to fill this need. I mean the major shoutout to anybody that works in education right now because just had to create an entirely new way of doing your job with like a month's notice. I don't know like people are being you know having to actually go to physical school spaces with all sorts of new precautions I just can't I can't imagine the. The struggle for all teachers out there right now. It's tough. Yeah especially, I got all these professors and my school that are like you know going into like their fortieth fiftieth year of being a professor said like they're Kinda getting up there in age and they're having to figure out how to do a virtual classroom for the first time in their whole educational lie look. I'm sitting here thirty seven and I was so lost. Now. I know is like the professors that have like. Not even like use technology for like grading. Yeah. That have just taught from like a lecture they wrote down by hand and just like you know deliver the lecture then leave those I have one of them the semesters, poor professors they don't know how to. Do Meeting I will say, and then we should talk about what we're going talk about I will say it's also really hard. I've done a grand rounds this way through zoom for our department. Not, being able to see people and feed off their energy when you're doing like a presentation, 'cause like I try to do it I, try to not just think about the information but like be a good speaker like engage you tell you. PODCAST. She takes great joy in her ability to captivate an audience. I do I love I, love public speaking I adore public speaking and I I really get like how am I getting engage everyone not just how am? I GonNa give me information but like how will I draw them into this and doing that on a computer screen is so hard. Yeah You can't feed off that there's not the give and take you know. When you when you turn your Tehran and sit backwards in it like a cool person nobody can really see that so. The same impact. They can only see the upper half, but they can't see how cool you are with your arms like one on your Chin resting across the top of the chair like they can't see all that when I take off my white coat and loosen my tie. Yeah to show that I'm really going to get into it they they can't. They just try to tell them what you're doing, and that takes that just ruins everything. Your actions. Just losing the old title but. I have no segue. Did you all enjoy troop Beverly Hills?.

"The Ken Boone podcast. Today we have. Cheryl Shuman founder of the Beverly Hills Cannabis Club his Cheryl how are you? I'm great. How are you hanging in there of I met you on linked in when we both realized that we turn sixty this year. So happy happy birthday to us why Schwab, like or is linked in his my absolute favorites as social media resource. It's great. It's there's lots of interesting stuff there. It's not quite as mean as twitter, right? Then and then we've got facebook right so it's like you know I I'm back at this point you know turning sixty you know don't you feel that urgency to get things done you know and and and working that much harder to hit your goals and surpass them where you know said, there's that sense of time being so incredibly valuable. That's so true I mean there's so much that there's still to do and you can feel the clock ticking so. It's definitely true. You're back east today. Yes. I am actually on the tri-state border of West, Virginia Kentucky and Ohio. We have approximately seven thousand acres cultivation through the tristate region and this is where I was born and raised, and so I, just thought you know. Again at age sixty, you you reach this point where you want to leave a legacy behind you want your your work and your life to stand for something to make a difference in the world, and you know when when all of this was going on and you know I I got to see my parents and everything for the first time at age forty seven. I came back to my hometown and I just realized that quite frankly I can make a much bigger difference for my small town than being. In our national and I like working internationally. But you know when you have someone that lives in a county or state that's not legal yet and their terminal lost them. You know and that's when I had that Aha moment is like I, need to go back to my hometown I need help them you know. Raise new entities and create jobs and people are starving here. It's almost like a third world country. And, the big breaker for me was when I did the. Hem Today Fest it was a big speaking thing I did in Nepal. and. Is Looking at. The culture they are and I thought, why can't we do some kind of a tourism thing my hometown. So that's how I am. Now I'm actually in my hometown I left Beverly Hills, right at the height of the looting and the fires and everything, and it's scary for me I I have a lung disorders so I'm very very sensitive to. Smoke into diseases in if something's going around because I have a a respiratory system that's not quite well. It's it can be very dangerous for me. So I came home it's absolutely beautiful. There's two rivers that run entry and the Ohio River and is just absolutely beautiful and the people are sweet and lovely and they need help here we're we're completely overwhelmed by the OPIOID epidemic and one of the things that we're learning and the.
