OME if you got to put my let's check that out see below money in chemicals being used at all wonderful product all right let's get back to the phones if you'd like to grab a line do so and we have Beverly Beverly welcome thank you for taking my call you bet how can we help well my husband has a metal out building or shop okay there it is twenty four by forty thirty years old the roof is galvanized and it is resting is there anything that we can put on it to protect it but we don't have to replace the whole road sure sure you might want to check with a Sherman Williams US store about industrial coatings that's one option the other option is basically what you're going to be looking at Beverly is getting up there and either sanding down grinding down the rusted areas and once we get the rusted areas buff down and where the metals exposed using a good metal primer and if it's an industrial coating my guess is what they're going to have is an acrylic epoxy but you can probably use a regular acrylic house paint on that also which is going to be a little bit easier okay but again being industrial building that's why I said you might get to assure William store and talk to their industrial coatings division which is you know a little bit out of my range but I know if I were doing it just in a small portion you could again get rid of the rust good metal primer on it and then like a good exterior acrylic paint over that right thank you very much I appreciate your help all right Beverly thank you good day bye bye one of the things I I mentioned about industrial coatings you know some of these big paying companies of course they have residential coatings they've industrial coatings and when you get into a building of that size that magnitude of a metal roofing and all metal roofing those finishes should last you about fifty years and they have a whole lot of of the metal coatings are actually of powder coatings that are made by Sherman Williams but the four industrials my guess is there's an a proxy acrylic but you can use a house paint on there too the you know the emerald or the duration just got to make sure that's that the rust is a bus down and sealed in with a good metal primer date well welcome yes Sir just fine okay yeah you had a few weeks ago you had to go down there with the code the shingles with the yeah you know you thanks Bruce Max action right okay can you do that yourself or he has to do it I think they do it because I do have your cell phone and by memory when I was talking I think I asked that question and looking at their website also they were definitely his employees harnessed and I would say a hose that looks like it's about an inch and a quarter wide so it's a pretty industrial application so what does it because chiller panels on my roof to on the other hand and I didn't know if they had to code it underneath those I would say so because those exposed yeah just be the roof that's exposed I may answer that but it would just be the roof that's exposed which is failing in again what makes that roof fail is what N. son right it's it's all about the weather it loses its mom particulates on the surface of the shingle which then examine a large area and then just begins to degrade this coating that roof Max puts on it's warranted for five years they inspect the roof and decide can that be well applied to other words is it too late or it's a maintenance coating to extend that roof neat you know roof's lifespan basically right exactly okay so I just go to the website react I believe it's roof Max dot com sure is okay I thank you very much all right you're quite welcome thank you thirty eight minutes after the top of the hour phone numbers we talk a little home improvement is eight hundred eight two three eight two five five and Jim welcome yes Sir how are you doing a good job bigger here question where lamping polybutylene pipe what election our client is there I can do the project by being in a formal welcome now and I've got a couple weeks and my first thought was the ticket he's gonna eat that up and I'm trying to write it but rare collapse under begin with yeah Jeez I really don't know if you can connect the poly butylene the packs to be honest with you I know you can course with galvanized or copper and you know you got those shark connectors and everything else seen given the polybutylene I I don't know if you had problems with the polybutylene but no deal the only issue I have is that is a leaking well that's and I put put the radiator clamps I just don't think I get those tight enough yeah there's an actual tool that actually crimson pools that really tight I'm like you're not gonna get that radiator clamped tight enough right that's that's kind of what I was thinking if you're going to heat it up and try to diagnose grants up because of the threat regardless of that the big box store told me in a vehicle to work and he recommended well he showed me the X. clamps okay at the same time he showed me the the poly pipe and I just want to try to drum up take it apart anyway but all of the blackstrap lamps on anyway but so I just wondered on a well you know I don't want to be giving you say yeah that's a great idea and then have somebody traded home and buried in a wall I think that's a bad idea but where that is I mean you really don't have anything to lose to give it a try what's that a child may open it's a matter of you're trying to right right on Richard Webster Spencer the nerd shelf life believe that the patch clamp actually cheaper yeah but you go by the tool he got out to a circus because they go that's that's what's giving you that extra torque on that part too yeah and though the pipe itself appears to be thicker than the poly pipe to follow it but then right but I don't know if he has a history to yeah well that's it I bought it just about making a quick repaired and it did work real well except for a couple weeks so I avoided by some tax by produce X. clamps and just do away with everything right find a subject which that probably be the best way to do it but again you're out the your you got nothing to lose so your call okay very good all right thanks take care yeah you got nothing to lose by voicing you say it somebody's gonna try that they're going to put that inside a wall and then you're gonna really big problems you find out if that works real fast outside from little leaking archer thing and heard it all Chester welcome well just not there he's gone all right let me give you the phone number it's eight hundred eight two three eight two five five again eight hundred eight two three disappeared as well he sure did he sure did and talk a little home improvement is talking about cleaning up the grill and not a bad idea again if you want to get those racks super clean and now listen to what I'm saying here because again I get emails every time I say this if you have a little plastic tub that you can pull those racks out and put some hot water in there with some ammonia no so no not just a little bit of ammonia Gary how much I don't know put in eight ounces and put those racks in here let him just sit in there for about two or three hours and when you pull those things out the they will look almost brand new so and then you can come back with that Giles cleaner clean up the rest of the residue clean the top of the grill side bars and you're ready to go don't forget again we'll wire brush on the flavor riser bars B. as good as new all right we'll take a break come back gets more Clippers’ comeback leaves LeBron’s Lakers with plenty of Christmas regrets
"Mantras ends up on Lebron and then you come back down quite got the ball and now Danny Green's on them. And then the Lakers run a screen with pope where I think heartless was on Pope or something and they ended up getting Switzer. They could get Lebron going at beverly and again like I said. These weren't transition matchups. And at that point I'm like all right stop. Stop doing this Because this isn't this isn't fun anymore. later on in the game you know it was a Anthony Davis trying to go at mantras. which didn't really hurt the clippers? He hit a jumper. He missed another jumper. They did an awesome out of time out thing that will get you on this time. Now we're Vogel Got Mad. and He kinda called like another quick second time out where he got mad about something they did and how they were defending Kuwait going to his right off that horn stuff and The the Dow time out play was incredible but it was a lot of straight. Anthony Davis. What can you do against mantras again? Find Clippers pass that test and then it was Paul George defending ending Lebron straight up and it. It wasn't terrible but you know it's not something you do even with Paul George at his length and everything. You're not GonNa just let that happen George actually Lebron did get it going after starting. Oh a seven from three and then you look at the closing groups. The Lakers went. Beverly Shamet George. Kawhi by mantra as the Lakers Rondo Green. Lebron Anthony Davis after Lakers went with their accuse me the clippers went with their closing group at eight minutes left The Lakers brought in Davis at seven. Twenty Dwight was still in. But then this is the thing to always look at. Okay wait a minute. This was a game against maybe their best opponent they went with. Anthony Davis the five with those five minutes to go. Oh and I mentioned all of those matchups they're a little bit earlier The outta time out was awesome. It was a hand off where it was like a ball reversal van. Gundy mentions handoff. Lebron gets at the AD slips screen donkey. We go and I'm watching this expecting the whole time. Davis is going to go off. This is GonNa go off and it didn't really happen Offensively for what the Clippers did they WANNA WII really good post where I have these concerns where I go as Lou Williams holding the ball a little too much when you have George and cold out here with two minutes to go to close in a close game like what are you doing any the answers both. Yes and no because there was one possession where you looked like he was gonna run it down to the clock where he had Lebron on. 'EM EYESO- no help and I'm Mike is just going to go with Lebron and not let anybody else touched the ball here. Because I don't know that I love that despite loose scoring prowess But they didn't do that coadjutor. Really good post position coming from the right block to the left block and got fouled by Danny Green it was good foul you got fouled again. He hit all of his free throws. And that's really kind of what happened in this game. Is that the clippers. Made their last sixteen free throws throws and the Lakers didn't really know what they wanted to be. They they just kind of went one on one match ups and the shots didn't go in and it's very important though after after the Lakers get the ball back with shacklock off down three Lebron's going at beverly. I almost didn't have this in the notes and I just double checked here by the way I looked at it and go. Okay you know. Are they going into the clippers. GonNa foul. They're up three. They don't Lebron had a hard time. Kinda getting free a beverly beverly got his body right into them. Am I mean that guy's unbelievable defending bigger guys not that he's GonNa shut down Lebron but he did on that possession and he blocked a shot and my least favorite review in sports is is when the Guy Swipes at the ball out of your hands like science on the Super Mythbusters Slow Motion Cam is gonNA show. The ball usually always getting like be out out of the shooter's hands last. But the intent of what you would always call was. Okay if you have the bond somebody swipes it out and it just happens to be that a molecule. Your pinky is the last thing to touch. It's the ball. I could still off the other guy I I bet there's people listening to this that are disagreeing with me saying that it's it's it's better this way. It isn't better this way. It sucks this way. And and I'm the furthest thing from really being a fan of either team so has nothing to do with it. I just don't think that that's really. What the spirit of the rule is and I know they reversed it and they called it out? That's your ballgame But I I hate it I hate it

What what else are you staying with the NBA Interesting game last night between the clippers dodgers was held down. Yeah dodgers got twenty. Two wilpon said to me over under twenty and I said I'd take over and he said he'd take under but he was really defended fended. Wealth is shooting percentage was bad. Even though he got twenty two clippers won that game easily. Yeah Clippers said you know what you think you're good it'll play like it's a playoff game. Two two of the best five. Maybe less defense I mean Paul Jordan Brand Beverly Beverly you put people around Donncha Solheim all the time it was like being Aaron Donald there was everybody on them all the time. Yeah and the world series shares have been released Washington nationals. Three hundred eighty two thousand thousand dollars. Three hundred three hundred eighty two three hundred fifty eight thousand dollars and eighteen cents. Okay so for one. Full shares or a lot of people got battle of the players. That's not a meaningful some money because they're making millions of dollars but there are some players. This is after taxes one hundred ninety thousand dollars probably somewhere around there. Thanks a lot lot of their people. A lot of the people getting shares or coaches and video guys and stuff like that and it's not life changing but boy it is great. It's great to suddenly we get one hundred and nine hundred thousand dollars that that's after taxes dropped in your lap if you're if you work if you work for the Washington nationals and you're part the team and you get that that's a big deal and against sixty one full share so I mean that's that's the full the Rosenthal share. That's what I need to don't. Don't they vote on a team and like getting Michael a Taylor Bullshit. Absolutely yes because he was up and down. Yeah using defoe got a full share. Yes anyone we could name would be alright with an embrace of full share. Thanks for leaving. And that's like you can't buy a house. I mean if things you can't do one hundred dollars is a lot of money toward something you you want. There's a restaurant not far from.

"No I get that but I'm sure about just pure defense okay on on this point like what I'm saying is. I think that those guys the clippers have more guys that are two-way players that are there also their defensive minded guys as opposed to that group with the Lakers is what I would say like. I think that heartless isn't just a three indeed guy like he can put it on the floor <hes> he can do. Some stuff I think he's kind of an underrated guy that they added to the roster. Yeah the best way to describe and Beverly Beverly is a pretty good shooter from the corners particularly like he actually shoots a very high percentage of the corners he he understands his game in that scenario but I think that because the because of Avery Bradley's health issues you know he dropped forty pounds who Bradley everybody I know I know but again and like the biggest predictor of future injuries past injury and that to me is the concern with him. Okay well you could also say that about Kawhi sure say that about Paul George Right but not as many injuries as as arising yeah. It's the number that you look at it because that starts to add up and he's already over thirty like those little things add up. I still think that there is a lot to be to be seen right with the Lakers I do. I agree with that. There's a lot to be seen yeah I but I still think that we're kind of ESTA. Underestimating the monster roster that has been put together a potential of what I I don't think they're far fetched in off defensively as much as people are saying so I think that's where Vogel will have huge impact and Holland's particularly. We'll have a huge impact because those guys are very much defensive-minded coaches. I think that those guys can have really Kinda. Get their hands in there and really kind of force that yes I agree. I and I think you've got I._Q.. Guys as well on that Ross and that could play a big part on that end of the floor ultimately I look at if these two teams are healthy and they're going into the playoffs and I can guarantee health the whole way I I like the Lakers more because of you pointed out about Anthony Davis at least as currently constituted. I don't see anyone on the clippers that can limit him but it's why I think the Andrea dollar piece is interesting because that can swing the balance of power our because if you can throw if the clippers get Andrea dollar three guys that's tough that changes the type of pressure. That's going to be on Anthony Davis however I still have confidence because of what we've seen from Lebron I._Q.. Is Mentally wise in his passing ability yeah to pick you apart right I mean but that doesn't make it easier..

"Lot of words that were old school. Like, let's say buck town or maybe Logan square. Some of the stuff that we're even talking about here where they're over progressive leaf where they're going in a different direction, but that doesn't necessarily that's not the first thing you think about when you take a Beverly Beverly still old school democrat. This is more middle of the road almost Republican areas without a doubt without a doubt. I mean, it's it's funny to me to look at the idea of democratic politics in Republican politics within the lens of down here because it's just not reflective. I would say that you know, I grew up with a dad who was you know, old school democrat is well was incredibly involved in politics. It doesn't look like anything that progressive policy. He says to me now is like Aaron nobody's progressive enough for you so Nolan around here, whatever consider themselves. No, one would consider themselves not a democrat. But it's in that very died. Noble old school kind of way. In my block alone. Like, my husband, and I have a black lives matter signing our yard and to- signs down. You've got somebody who's got one of the first responder flags up. We don't have any problems to me contrast. The contrast, and I would say that you know, when you asked about how things have shifted and changed in how does the old school the new school to me that feels symbolic of the efforts that people are trying to make tonight high some of that diversity to kind of find a way to embrace it. You know, there are some still truisms about how things get done around here. But I would argue that I think Scott my bought wins the housing market tanks. And so my dad was an appraiser at the time. He said you're never going to get a better time to get into that neighborhood. Yeah. Right. Because for the house you buy what you would have paid for it back in the day. Like you couldn't have afforded it. And so I think a lot of people had the same experience. So. All of a sudden, you had a lot of new folks that might not have before. So maybe some of it was inevitable the one thousand nine hundred. I mean, you think of neighborhoods like Beverly or just to the west of your mouth Greenwood there'll be a lot of first responders. So with that being said, let's go to Patrick bell of Beverly and his comments about Lonzo ball were as he called claimed. He was easy. And I'm Sumi he means guarding him or being guarded by him unaware what he means by that. Maybe all around. It's easy to have him on the opposite side of team. Yes. There are a lot of weakness is. With this with Lonzo ball, but he has a lot of good straights. Especially in his passing. He's a great passer pass I point guard, which you need an point guard. And I think more along the lines. It's just. It's just you need to. You need to look at the fact that. Maybe Lonzo needs a lot of work true. But maybe to end up being better than Beverly Beverly is always been no for trash talking Kappa guy. So that doesn't surprise me. So we'll see how other as the season goes with these trash talkers on the same team kind of feel, but I'm assuming that big of a deal is. I honestly this trash talking probably nothing to offensive. It was like something over the line. Of course. It was just a stray comment, and you know, Lonzo ball is stolen stroz still trying to find his feet in the NBA has couple injuries. Going off of a lot of answer. Questions said at least for him. You know, I gotta say it's to get a lot of prep to the clippers. Lot of props of the clippers trained by Harris was supposed to be fatal. But it turned out there. Still clinching their hostal hoping for a spot in the Western Conference playoffs inner Trent, and I think they might get it on. And they look like a very good team without bias at this team can only go up from here. And you know, with the potential of free agent signings, quite Leonard, and etc. Cetera. "Talk radio thirteen eighty W A. Okay. The voice of the community. You're listening to give it some thought with Dr Ben in and we were right at the beginning of intimate partner violence awareness month. That's what October is all about. And a okay is is just you know, we're we're putting out some really good. What I think some really good information. And some some pasta proposing some possible solution system tragic problems in our community. I have on the I have two people here in the studio with me, Dr roles Parker and her story is all over. It's been on TV. She has a book beat up beat down and still standing, and she is really made some major strides in helping our sisters deal with with this this this this descend from this whole. Experience of being being abused? I have Dr Fay with me who is a licensed marriage and family, therapists, and we're dealing with some very serious issues. This is what I wanna do Dr rose. I'd like to know what are your comments about your response to some of the things that were said about previous caller. I think. You that? A relationship gone wrong. And every now and then you'll have a female. Damage the relationship, you know, on repair. I also think that I believe that that the gentleman that called in you know, what is concerned about the community should release that energy to start a program or someone that's already in place. You know, because that's a whole nother whole 'nother issue. I mean, it's part of it like you can relate to everything to domestic violence. You can you know? So my lost their job, and they will not acting doing our job. Right. But you don't know that they can beat up at home. So is related subject related, but it's it's own thing can be built up. You don't make an impact on the community. If you drive driver passion, he said make a change in the communities in in our world. Wow. Thank you. Dr wrote for that. I I really appreciate you offering that I'd also like to add that it would be helpful. For the previous caller, and those who may have some frustration with understanding anything about intimate partner violence to look at. The statistics. But I would push to go a little further, and that is to really start to be more observant. It's very difficult to to know what's going on in relationships and know what's going on. But I think if we're more observant in terms of patterns of behavior in terms of persons who are being isolated persons who. Seemed to be hypersensitive in terms of touch. No waste all kinds of experiences. I think that we will begin to see that it is much more prevalent intimate partner violence is much more prevalent than we realize. But I think that's one of the things that we have to do. It's a reckoning a recognizing that it really is prevalent in our communities and not about shaming and blaming the person who has been abused. But I also want to add that we must understand that intimate partner. Violence is about control and pow wow. I want to go to the lines. We have several callers four four eight nine two two seven zero three. I'm going to Beverly Beverly Hello. Beverly? Beverly? Beverly are you there? I am good. I can hear your knock. And he at first I thought I had a bad connection. How you doing? I'm good and yourself. Good. Good is are you a first time caller. I am polo. Hold on don't move. Don't move. I got some for you. I got some for you. Well, we got Sean. There.

"Join the conversation at eight hundred eighty eight ten now chip Franklin K G O eight ten so my brother-in-law and his wife is my wife's sister hung out with us this weekend and schools come opening up this fall and their kids hurt their youngest is thirteen. And he told me he got her a bulletproof backpack. Now, you gotta know my brother this does not sound like something that he would do. But with me, my kids grew up in the nineties when you didn't have you had Columbine was the first really big shooting. And I think what was it ninety ninety eight or something like ninety eight somewhere around there, and and my son, my oldest son was ten at the time. And he was fascinated by it. I mean, you know frightening. I had bought a bunch of books. He saved the people magazine stories about it for ten years. All of us. You know? I mean, I was a kid. I was fascinated with UFO's in serial killers. I must add a million books on it. Right. And that was the air that I grew up in, you know, seventies eighties. There was a lot of coverage of that. The here in California. We decided we would try to do something to stop many of the shootings. Now, in many cases, we're talking if we're not talking about San Bernardino with got a couple of crazy jihadists go out in the flash. That's I don't know how you can stop that. But that's not what we're talking about. Right now, we're talking about troubled young teenagers two weeks after the gunman in parkland Florida's exact from one classroom and other in his former high school killing seventeen people down in Beverly Beverly Hills and employee. Dial nine one one to report a stranger mumbling to himself and following her as she left campus of the school there police came they confiscated a loaded handgun in the man's glove box and arrest him. They were they felt compelled to do more this. What if he's a copycat killer inspired by parkland, and a lot of these guys are inspired by these other shootings. I mean, that's what we try to stop saying saying, the names of the people, and what have you got another gun are posted bail. Beverly Hills officers decided to try something. They never done before and persuaded a judge to temporarily bar the man from having guns. This is something new in California. We've been trying to do you appear to be crazy. We're not gonna let you have a gun. That's not right. I need to find crazy. That's we'll get to that. You know, get a mirror. She's nasty today because she has to writer on news..

"Takes my interest certainly i knew nothing about him as an actor although i knew he had really been a drill sergeant the the tirade he goes off again it was really really real at it really made the beginning of full metal jacket i don't think the movie is ever as good as it is after he's no longer on the screen but i also wanted to write about the books that i read written by a friend of mine frank mick adams his fellow screenwriter and screenwriting teacher who wrote a vietnam memoir and who had his own stories they and they very very real stories about what he went through in combat and as a key was a low level marine officer and with a convoy transport things from here to there some of the some of his descriptions of vast are pretty hair raising as i as you know because you read the blog the the one incident that i focused on and which allowed me to make the segue to full metal jacket was when he was at a camp and everything was fine and then all of a sudden he heard a commotion the next over and it's a young military guy young soldier who has just gone a little bit dessert and is about to kill number of people which my friend frank managed to stop that and its tracks the moment the description of that moment was really hair raising and very real and it kind of moment that movies certainly about vietnam sometimes try to capture just to cost in terms of morale and sanity for these young men who were placed in a position where they've got some real physical and emotional stress and access to weaponry yeah it's a really interesting piece beverly beverly hang on.
