How to Optimize an Underperforming Sales Team With Ali Mirza

"Pull us apart. How to optimize an underperforming sales team. I think there's a there's a little bit of a framework you had. Let's let's see what we can do. Absolutely so i had kicking off so effectively soviet. Ceo and you'll look at beulah. Guide your sales team. And they're missing numbers right partial And talk to them. But let's say you don't have a sales and you gotta figure out okay. What do i do now. Unfortunately at this point just telling them to work harder. He's not going to solve the problem now in may but i i will tell you this moselle teams. Don't work hard enough however that you have to ask. A wire are right because in theory. If they knew that their efforts would result in results they probably would do it. It's that the fact that they don't believe that the harder they work the more money they will make or the more sales than women. Do you have to really take a step back and allies okay. What is going on the bigger out. What the challenges. Nine times out of ten challenge is the conference of the sales team in what it is doing. Hardback can be solved with training. But most of that has to be solved with in my opinion with strategy. So if you explain to a sales person hey this is. Why is profitable by jewett in this particular manner. Say this in this way. This is your position. this is your angle. This is your pitch if you explain that in a in a compelling way they believe that they buy it they stand the internalize it. They will actually do it now from there once. You've saw that from there then. It's about setting those clear expectations right too. Many with be sales leader. Ceo's whoever had these conversations and nothing changes after the fact and that that's the problem with the execution because expectations weren't set clearly inside those meetings. The crucial conversation was never had which was okay. Now that you were wealthy provision now that you are well armed what are you going to do about it and you cannot let them get away. Get out of your room your office and let them just basically just have to work Try weaves a clear expectations. What does that look like by too much. Bdr's okay how many more calls. What is the result of these calls. You're talking to your eight year. you're closer okay. i'm anymore discovery calls. How many more you know proposal send out what is going to be hit rate of proposals out only myself to descend proposed the safest and not proposal Numbers and magic. Something will turn up not up so we need to have those clarifications on that accountability set.

Pandemic wage gains were just a fluke

"Come friday. We're going to get the latest stab shot on average hourly earnings in this economy and it is expected to show continued strong winds gains but our guy on economic statistics mitchell hartman. He says best to ignore that and focus instead on the trouble yet to come so a crazy thing happened on the way to the pandemic recession. After the economy shut down and twenty million people lost their jobs. Workers average hourly earnings went up skyrocketed. Actually up eight percent year over year but what got was was not signal. Joseph bruce willis is chief economist at rsm consulting. He'll be our guide through this thicket of wage data and when he says noise not signal he means fast. Rising wages have been a statistical anomaly of the pandemic economy high paid professionals kept working from home and mostly held onto their paychecks but millions of mostly low paid service workers lost their jobs. When you've got forty percent of households making forty thousand or less seen a job loss or loss in wages. That explains that head. Fake if you will on wages forty year old cinnamon deutsche is. An example of what bruce willis is talking about. She was teaching at a childcare center in asheville beulah ohio when it closed and she got laid off in march her three hundred and fifty dollars a week. Paycheck disappeared from the average earnings calculation. But she got unemployment which included six hundred dollars a week in extra federal pandemic pay until she was hired back three months later. I made twice as much on unemployment with the extra six hundred dollars. As i do now but i am glad to be back to work. I mean i like going to work so like many americans do inches. Income actually went up for a while because of additional unemployment benefits and relief checks but those temporary effects are fading. And just says we're in for a rude awakening. What i think we're going to see is a very bifurcated. Wage market this idea that k shaped economy separation between the hadgem. The have notch bruce willis says the haves those who work in what he calls. These zoom economy will have made goes at the upper end. Those who are already thriving. There's going to be competition for those workers. you know. Premium place their wages but for lower wage says workers even as the economy reopened and employers. Start staffing up again. Those in the middle to the lower end of the market where the damage occurred. They're not going to see a lot of wage growth. That's due in part to supply and demand. Lots of unemployed workers looking for jobs not enough job openings to give them leverage to demand higher pay. then there's something. Economists call downward nominal wage rigidity firms during hard times ten not reduce. The wages of the employee said they keep on the books but when the times get better wage gains core restrained. That is pretty much what cinnamon joy is seeing in her job. She's back at work fulltime at her previous salary of three hundred and fifty dollars a week. The extra unemployment income she banked back in the spring has run out. My credit card is back up to you. Know almost max out trying to pay five or ten bucks extra so that i can pay that down. I make enough money to pay my bills and have mcdonald's once in a while but you know if my car breaks down or have an emergency am just outta luck i i have to borrow from. Somebody doesn't expect chill get a raise until she hits ten years of service in twenty twenty

Why Consciousness Upholds Creation

"Hi My friends I'm Deepak Chopra. This is daily breath. Today I want to answer the question that delays everything. Can existence take care of itself. And my answer is, yes. Let's talk about how consciousness. Polls creation. At this moment, we're surrounded by the infinite intelligence and creative bar of consciousness. This is nature's secret life his consciousness. The principles that consciousness follows but. Everything. The most basic light poems follow the principles of consciousness which are self organization. Even, the most basic lifeforms know exactly how to stay alive. Have you ever heard of an organism called the Yellow Blob. Known as Feis Abram. Policy. This organism exhibits qualities of consciousness. It is an example of our existence can take care of itself. If you want to know more about this organism. Beulah read my book but it's a simple fungus like organism that shows all the properties of snus that you and I have as human beings. So consciousness and existence must go together. There's no such thing as blackness consciousness is always a life life was generated in the field of consciousness it is already alive. Life is invisible until consciousness takes physical.

Hamilton's Choreographer Explains The Secret Messages In Its Dance Moves

"Many people nationwide have been waiting for Hamilton to hit Disney plus with the hit Broadway musical, fittingly arriving right before Independence Day, and when the country could really use an uplifting and patriotic story about resilience. Lin Manuel Miranda has obviously been celebrated and deservedly so for his wide ranging contributions to the musical. There's a lot of other creative minds at upbringing choreographer. Andy Plankton Beulah. WanNa Tony for his work on it so when you're watching Hamilton. Pay Close attention to the movements of both Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. Every gesture is designed to highlight the personalities or foreshadow the story Hamilton was a free thinker while Burr was rigid. That's why Andy explains to playbill quote. Every movement Aaron makes is linear while everything with Hamilton is circular. If either characters falling into his cycle of fate, they turn to the left, and if they're resisting fate, they turn to the right fascinating

We drank some energy drinks and got back on the road. At this point I needed to keep going at a fast pace to get home before the energy wore off Danny on the other hand was on a slower pace at this point we split apart about an hour or so from our houses I blasted through and made it home. Having a good time enjoying the roads of America while there open there may not be anywhere to eat or even use the bathroom. It just gotTa go off in the Bushes and bring your own where starting with Rohan buyers at on the instagram. He crested one K. Loop around Gorgeous California with a quip grind into Nevada one thousand sixty four miles in nineteen hours. Five minutes he rats. I mentioned to my friend that I wanted to do a ride. One candidate while the roads were clear and I wasn't working. He said he wanted to as well. It took us a few weeks to get our backs shipshape. But the first day we both felt good about we saddled up and went for it. I wrote down south from La to meet up then. We headed up the old three nine to five. We took that all the way up to the fifty taking my favorite way in and out of Tahoe area to the Central Valley where we ground out the rest of the miles. I ended my ride in. La and Arnaldo headed south to finish his well done. Let's mix it up and bring one from the east and by East. I mean very southeast rat or one of two one Mr Dapper underscored. Dan Man on the instagram knocked out his loop around Florida. Stayed in Florida. The whole Yes he had roddy. We'll get to that in a minute. Exactly one thousand miles in nineteen hours thirty five minutes. How he got exactly one thousand miles. I have no clue good for him. I think that deserves extra bounded points in itself. He writes like any good. Well thought out plan ours. Went to Shit. Almost immediately. We started on a loosely gravelled roads leaving holder mind campground in with luck. Kaci state forests. I think I'm saying that wrong with LACACI state forest Heddon for our first fill up in inverness. I just found out about the ride. One candidate earlier in the week and after everyone backed out of a quick trip to deals gap. I got my buddy caleb to come along route one thousand miles in a single day. We wanted to hit key west a bucket list rod for both of US avoiding the interstates at all cost. Then come up the East Coast and across Florida back home to Tampa Bay. That didn't happen. Not any of it. We realized staying off the interstates would make the first one hundred twenty miles. Take three hours so we took I seventy five to the Tamiami trail figured we'd cross alligator alley off the interstate before hooking up with the route one in Miami towards the keys after a delicious but time consuming lunch. Stop and some slow traffic on a single lane road. We realize we not only have to book it on the interstate but keep West wasn't going to be an option even after we concocted a plan to sneak into the current close keys so we backtracked to twenty nine and went up to seventy five where the wind beat us just shit for an hour straight then again for hours. After at various spots from there we trace the edge of Florida stopping every one hundred thirty miles as we went up on ninety five across. I ten for a bit and through Lake City to I seventy five. We had to retrace some seventy five. Impasse our exit to go further south and loop backup via the sunshine skyway so we could make all our miles sometime after midnight and my fourth bang of the day. My body started rejecting everything the road began to. Blur. I was shivering uncontrollably from exhaustion and I knew I had to fight from last one hundred thirty miles. Caleb is more skilled rider so I told them to speed ahead I put on some warns Yvonne took a breath twisted my throttle and prove to myself that my body mind and my beautiful machine can take anything you throw our way. That is awesome. Well written thank you Mr Dapper underscore Dan man on the Graham next up router to of to on this one this goes out to on the Graham. Caleb Hensley Ninety five. He Crushes One K. Loop in eighteen hours fifty six minutes and this was Radan partner of dapper underscore. Dan Man he rats will. I started Friday eighth with a group to do a camping trip Friday night. Which was a story in itself but Saturday morning. We all woke up and everyone went their separate ways. Except for my buddy Danny and myself which were the only ones to accept the challenge. We Laugh Inverness Florida and went to the closest gas station in this podunk town. Which in fact only had eighty seven octane nonetheless. We took our pictures and we were on the way. We sat out southbound headed for the highway to get a good leg up on the trip or so. We thought we had a couple of stops off the highway for gas and continued south till we made it to Naples and we got off the highway then got into a two lane that took us through the marshlands of Florida from there. We took that away and stopped at a ridiculously overpriced gas station and some lunch at Joanie Blue Crab cafe. That's a good name at launch. We decided we could not head for the keys nor stay on the two lane if we wanted to finish the challenge so following lunch we hopped back onto the highway and got beaten by the wind for the next two hundred ish miles. After we hit Fort Lauderdale we headed north up to the West Coast and continued making pretty good time. We made it to just outside Jacksonville before sundown and we both knew we had to keep it up. We headed west and continued on until we exited for gas in Lake City. Where he me? He couldn't see anything with extended goggles on at night. With stock dual headlight. He switched to some clears and we were off headed south. Finally in the direction of home we made our last stop together in Brooksville where we both at. This point were exhausted and shivering. Not from the cold but from pure exhaustion. We drank some energy drinks and got back on the road. At this point I needed to keep going.

"Rode from San Diego up to Bishop for the night and kicked off the next morning. I love the three ninety five so I was really looking forward to seeing some more sites and this trip did not disappoint within the first hour. My mind was blown at June lake while I watched a hurt. A deer cross in front of me with the Lake Mountains in the backdrop then busted asked to get up to lake. Tahoe as quickly as possible because I wanted to finally ride around it. I didn't realize most of the roads was thirty five miles an hour. So there's definitely started cutting into my day. Holy Heck. I've totally been here. I've accepted that if I want to take some scenic route. My One KS are pretty much. Just Not GonNa take twenty plus hours. It seems to help knowing that in the beginning after that I crossed over the SIERRAS and down through San Francisco. One of the few perks of Cova. Ed is being able to route through big cities without coming to a screeching halt. I'm GonNa miss that when this is all over. I've never been down the one through big Sur so I had planned on it as well after about ten hours on the back. I finally hit the epoch scenery. I've always heard about and it definitely didn't disappoint what I did not realize is that this was not as much highway as it was a sketchy as joe trail carved high into the side of the mountain with a glaring lack of guard rails and when they were there they came barely to my knees. I was going southbound. I was cliffside then due to my fear of heights and the constant blind corners. I had a wonderful couple of hours rotating between having my mind blown and white neck. Knuckling like nervous little beach tease. Eh Worth it. Four shore but a lingering memory of a story about parts of this road sliding in the ocean a couple years ago was forefront in my brain the entire time view worth it sunset worth it. Well in done Mr St underscore real underscore state. I'M GONNA have to learn this guy's real name sometime and like I wish I could say. Shake his hand. But we're not doing that anymore. And that really sucks the okay back to the business ride one of three so we got three freaking killing it here. We go number one haywire. Nineteen eighty-seven knocked out a second one K with us this time bringing some company at Sun chaser sixty five and happy beak. Amc One thousand sixty two in eighteen hours forty six minutes for our first east coast out of the year. This route just starts at the top and hauls ass down so this is really freaking bitch and this is specifically Haywire nineteen eighty-seven who where are you headed to Georgia for breakfast? That was asked to many times in twenty four hours Saturday afternoon started well with spirits happy. Amc and I took off from Nova on our epic journey. We ran into a buddy of mine and he rode with us for about fifty miles. We picked up son chase or sixty five as we skirted around Richmond and the three of us road off into the sunset. We made it to breakfast three. Am and came back through chilly. Not I remember again while I hate South Carolina roads as I about got thrown off the back a handful of times. We all finished one K. As we were coming back through Richmond again eighteen hours but the receipts showed different. Because by that point we were all saddle sore and wanted to be done. Ten Ten would do it again with a group. Keep IT SKETCHY FOLKS. Put up or shut up. So let's hear from the partner rider or two three son Chaser. Sixty five clocked him at one thousand twenty two miles in eighteen hours forty minutes. Our governor in Virginia still wasn't allowing Donna and at restaurants we really wanted to have breakfast at a waffle house so he wrote to Savannah Georgia to get our waffle on only problem. Was when Bob's tour pack lost at stop good thing we had extra zip tass that's great. That's all it's unchaste sixty five riots. Congratulations number three of three happy. Bek AMC one thousand miles with the other two gentlemen Haywire Nineteen eighty-seven and Sunshine Sixty five for the waffle house fixed. He clocked in one thousand forty nine miles seventeen hours twenty two minutes. He writes set out to do this. One Thousand Mile Ride didn't know what to expect. The three of US set out for Georgia to have breakfast met some cool folks along the way and made some new friends can't wait to do it again. Well done. These guys are freaking awesome acts Rocco underscore X. that's ex- underscore our ACO underscore X. crushed their one K. Loop through four states starting in the south somewhere around where I live southern California head. No Ver- going up and coming back on the trustee old interstate fifteen clocked him at one thousand one miles in sixteen hours thirty eight minutes and then one hundred more miles for the home stretch. We all gotta get home right so they right. I started the day pretty late ten. Am leaving a house in Marino valley. California well shoot. I'm in Riverside so this guy's right up the road that's right next door. That's why this looks familiar back to it. I had the intention of taking a long lunch ride as I talked to the wife about it before I left the house so I was undecided on where to have lunch at at that point I convinced myself to right up to VEGAS FOR LUNCH ONCE IN VEGAS. I still did not feel like I worked up an appetite and I wrote past Vegas Lake. Mead to visit an old buddy when ride north on interstate fifteen I saw a sign that said Utah about one hundred miles so I told myself again. Looks like Utah for lunch. Once I got to Saint George I was still not hungry and I did buy water but no real appetite yet. I looked up the local Harley and Google said Xilai on Harley Davidson is nearby at the dealership I got to see some pictures of Zion and that kicked up the next idea which was to ride. Pass I on and dropped down to Arizona. No way was I gonNA ride back home the same route so my lunch. Experience turned into one K plus adventure. Sometimes not having a planned out day can really turn into a pretty kick ass experience. My greatest experience from the rod was midway design to rams one on each side grazing on grass as I got close to them and I read the bike. They picked up their heads to look at me. The rams started running next to me at one point. I told myself I hope these rams. Don't turn me into sandwich. Because I was scared shitless. They ran about thirty yards or so with me and they stopped to continue their afternoon stack by far the wildest experience filled with adrenaline. That has happened besides dodging deer until the next one and today. This is your friend Rocco last but not least this is at. Gt S. H. E. F. knocked out his one K. Loop around Arkansas. Taken in all the landscape it has to offer we clock getting them at one thousand sixty miles in nineteen hours thirty three minutes. I've been wanting to do one of these rats for a long time. I really don't like riding interstate so I decided to circle the state on mostly. Us routes what a great choice. I really enjoyed the variety of the ride the farmland in the east ozarks in the north. Oh Cheetah Mountains in the West and the Timberland's and south at the end of the ride mild lady was there with the garage open and a cold beer man. Solid Wafi is correctly written by Mr Echo. So well done and well done to everybody. Thanks for enjoying part. One American road runner Rodwin Canaan Day with MS. Beulah may the love of my life. Guess what's coming up soon enough. Par to stay. Do I need to also buy the .net and .co for my domain?

"Felix. Starting an online business. He's got his dot. com address was just great. But he's asking does he. Need to buy the DOT net extension the dot com as well and for those who are listening any other extension you might be thinking of Dot. US whatever it is. It could be very tempting to do. This is because hey it's only like ten dollars a year and you want to kind of cover all your basis. Because he thought of this is a great name for your business a great year. Real let me get all the different extensions available and at the end of the day it may cost you forty fifty sixty maybe a hundred dollars to get all the extensions so you might think. Hey it's not a huge huge expense. It's it's like a fancy dinner out but here's my advice. You need to validate the business idea. I need to make sure people are actually buying what you're intending to sell or want to buy it so you need to make your first sale or two I because you might be buying things you're just not going to use. The business idea. Might be a bus in the name may any not be congruent with the next pivot. You'RE GONNA make so if you have the DOT com. That's great hurry up and validate this business idea. Make sure there's an audience for it. Make sure that you you can sell what you're intending to sell to your potential audience and it shouldn't take long to do. This shouldn't take more than a few weeks for starting a t shirt business print won t shirt in the way you're going to sell it and sell to one customer to to customers. Three customers find out are people willing to buy at the price point. You're willing to sell it out to make a profit this is an online course. Presale the course. Show them the results are going to get. Give them a preview. Put up a sales page. If you got buyers got people that are willing to pay for you have some traction and it's worth investing in that traction at that point okay. The hundred dollar investment to get all the domains. James is probably going to be a good one but by buying all these domains and not knowing if the business going to fly this is like saying. I'm going to move to a new country and I've never been there before right. I have no proof for validation on a WanNa live there. Why property there right? I know it's not the same thing as out the same kind of price point or investment. But I know a lot of entrepreneurs the have hundreds hundreds of domains that they never use and they just continue to have him on honor renew and in my opinion. That's just a waste of money. Leave those domains available salable and leave him for somebody who's actually going to do something with it and focus on what you're GonNa do in your business focus on how you're gonNA use your domain so if you got one great and if you get dot com that's even amazing the dotcoms out available recommend going with the dot net or dot co validate the idea and then go and see if you can grab the other extensions once once you know you can make money off this business now. What I love of this is that it puts you on a deadline? Has the time. Ticking so yourself on a deadline say I need to value this idea. And the Knicks months at Max and you have the sense of urgency. 'cause hey you don't want those other extensions to get snatched up right. That's why you were thinking about grabbing him in the first place. Well validate this idea quickly. Komo get it done under a month and then you can grab those extensions and fuel better right but this puts a little fire under you and pushes you to get the wheels turning turning on this business a lot of us. We have good ideas in the middle of the night. We grab the domains and we do nothing with them later. This is the difference between someone playing business and doing doing business. BEULAH DO business. Developers make sure people are willing to pay for the make a transaction right. They actually make money. They make a sale remember. I mentioned this all the time. Okay but if you've ever watched the show shark tank the first question that the sharks asked. The contestants is how many sales you have. How many units have you pushed? They're not gonNA invest in something something that doesn't make money the validate that isn't out there for sure making money that you have actual audience members actual customers that want to buy that product so make sure you validate then go ahead and grab those extensions later and put yourself on a deadline to push you to do it quickly

'Expect Change': Robert Lighthizer Is Trump's Hardball-Playing China Trade Negotiator

"Support for this NPR podcast and the following message. Come from NBC's new drama the enemy within Erica shepherd betrayed her country. Now, she's the FBI's only hope in stopping America's greatest enemy. But can she be trusted Mondays beginning February twenty fifth on NBC right now representatives of the two largest economies in the world, China and the United States are locked intense negotiations over trade leading the US delegation is US Trade Representative Robert lighthizer lighthizer is a lawyer with more than four decades of experience in Washington trade battles. He grew up in a steel port town on Lake Erie. And it is that experience that helped turn him into a major skeptic of free-trade NPR's. Jim zarroli has this profile last October, President Trump unveiled a trade agreement with Mexico and Canada it had taken months to negotiate. And as he did he turned to shake hands with a tall unassuming man who stood behind him. Holding a folder filled with papers, no matter when you call them. He was in the office or he was in somebody else's office doing the same thing. He Bob lighthizer scrape. I've heard for years I said if I ever do this wanna get lighthizer to represent us because he felt the way I did with Robert lighthizer, Trump has a trade Representative who very much shares his hard ball views on trade, if not his pugnacious style, take China, for instance, way back in the nineties lighthizer was warning that China was no ordinary market economy. It didn't play by the rules. If American markets were open to Chinese imports. He said, no US factory job would be safe and lighthizer views on China. Haven't changed over the years. Here's a speech from 2017 the sheer scale of their coordinated efforts to develop their economy to subsidize to create national champions into distort markets is a threat to the world trading system. Mm-hmm. That is unprecedented. And lighthizer has been a big critic of trade deals like NAFTA. He warned that they would devastate American manufacturing in Washington where one administration after another preached the gospel of free trade lighthizer views placed him outside the mainstream for a long time says Edward Alden of the council on foreign relations, the view in Washington has been that opening up trade is good for the United States and good for the other countries involved late Heiser is a profess economic nationalist. He's very much about what's in it for the United States, but laser is well respected, even by those. He's clashed with such as former US Trade Representative Mickey cantor who helped negotiate NAFTA for the Clinton administration Kanter says he's often been at odds with lighthizer, but he concedes that lighthizer has a deep understanding of trade law while he's bright. He's experienced. He's a confident is certainly understands these issues. Backwards and forwards, but lighthizer also has fans and some even more unusual places. He's well respected by unions. And by people on the left such as Laurie Wallich a leading opponent of trade deals. Bob lighthizer is kind of like the unicorn US R. It's like a mythical beast who actually by merit of his past work has relationships with Democrats in congress and with unions and has relationships with businesses and with Republicans Wallich, founder of global trade. Watch remembers listening to lighthizer speak-out against NAFTA in the nineties. She was surprised at her own reaction, which was. That's kinda scary that right wing Reagan administration. Republican trade guy is saying things that I seventy percent agree with since then they've often worked together in trade battles. And they talk regularly lighthizer skepticism about free trade was shaped in part by his background. He grew up in relative comfort in the Ohio city of Ashta Beulah. Mark plug Okkas worked with him at a summer job. In a grocery store is a good kid and some well-spoken. His dad was a doctor which in Nashville at that time was you know, elite social status the ash Beulah of lighthizer childhood was a thriving port town it shipped in iron ore for steel mills and shipped out coal from Kentucky and West Virginia. But much of that is gone today. Former union official Ray Gruber, drove me around town on a cold overcast day past empty storefronts and face. Needed frame houses, these days much, less freight comes through Abiolas port and many of its manufacturers have fled the big plants have all moved out and that happened late seventies early eighties. I think there's a lot shock and all because now you've got two thousand people who are looking for work. Those who know him say lighthizer brings up ash Beulah decline in conversation. And that it's affected his views on trade. Leo Gerard is president of the United Steelworkers or grew up in orca class town, and you know, how people have suffered by losing jobs. And and I suspect that that's part of why he went into the that part of the legal profession has a lawyer lighthizer represented the steel industry in Washington. He also worked on trade policy in the Reagan administration at the time. His target was Japan, which was seen as a big threat to American manufacturing jobs. Lighthizer helped push Tokyo to accept limits. On how much it exported to the US says Edward Alden. I think the Japan experience told him the only way you make progress is through threats that you're prepared to carry out to restrict access to the world's largest market, which is the United States. Now lighthizer is trying to make the same threats against China. He sees China as an even more formidable adversary than Japan its markets remained largely closed to outsiders. He says intellectual property theft is a huge problem. Here's what light is our said in two thousand seventeen expect change expect new approaches and expect action now as the country's chief negotiator on trade. Lighthizer is in a position to do something about it. And those who know him say light is at seventy one use this as his last best chance to reverse the decline of cities such as Ashton Beulah. The town. He grew up in Jim zarroli in here news. Support for this podcast and the following message. Come from Comcast business having the nation's largest gig speed network was just the start. "Snyder, Beulah church and the entire ride downtown this morning. You could barely see in front of you, so slow it. Now, we have enough trouble not getting into excellent completely clear and dry that. Just take your time just to my caveat on to sixty four and this is a couple of hours ago. So, you know, take it for what it's worth. But honestly, all but there wasn't a hundred yards of visibility at that time. So yeah, it was not good on the way. In like, I said, I I came Snyder from you know, from Beulah church downtown. Right. And that entire stretch was was logo. What I mean by that is if you're going sixty five or sixty miles an hour. One hundred yards is not hard to grab up to in. All of a sudden, you're having problems, please be careful. All right, obviously in the news sexual assault sexual assault, national sexual assault hotline was blistering one hundred forty seven percent increase yesterday. There are a lot of technicalities to this. But we know that many people, you know, women often don't tell their story till years later, this is not unusual, but also men that have been sexually assaulted. They don't tell their stories very Alta. What can you tell us here in Jefferson County? You know, what experiences you've seen in what can people do today as they become bolder, and hopefully, you know, trying to get things straightened out for their own personal lives. Yeah. So I mean first off I'm not an expert on this topic at all. But this is not a political topic. You know, October first kicked off the domestic violence awareness month last year was the purple purse challenge this year is everyday advocate. We'll have a lot of stuff coming out on that. But the thing understand is that in the state of Kentucky there is no statute of limitations on felony. And if you're a victim your victim. And so you come forward the minute after it happens. If you come forward fifty years after it happened. You know, if you're not the person that that live that story, you know, then then you don't have any any opinion on it. So it just it doesn't matter if you were a victim out there, and you were at a point in your life where you're comfortable to come forward and talk about it like talk about it when I say, there's no statute of limitations on felonies. I mean, I it doesn't matter if it, you know, eighty years from when it happened. No one deserves to be a victim. And that doesn't matter if you're a democrat or Republican liberal or whatever just just yeah. Just it's a it's a serious thing. We get so tied up in the politics of things that we miss the victim on this. I thought Dr Ford's testimony was riveting I don't deny anything that happened to her. We just don't know for sure some of the details. And so I I'm sure during that trauma. You're not necessarily thinking about a lot of things. But now, I think what we could take away from that for those who are victims. Tell your mom tell your dad, tell your friends and tell them now, go go go get checked out, whatever the case may be don't be embarrassed. By what somebody else did to you as a victim. Wait what you said. I'm sorry. What you what you see on this? And I can speak to this personally, you know. I know people that have waited until the perpetrator passed away. Before they got the courage up to come forward because they knew there wasn't anybody. They would have to confront at that point. And that doesn't lessen what happened. It doesn't mean. It didn't happen because it was years removed from when they came forward. And that's what I what if anybody only takes one thing from our talk this morning, like I don't care how long ago, it was a if you have the courage, and you're a point in your life where you're ready to come forward. Call us call our tip line. Call nine one one and we will help to make you whole your time. Lamont is always thank you very much Lamont Washington with the Louisville metro police department.
