"The French announcer was so crazy about Ava Gardner that a guy that everybody thinks has it all together or had it all together. Tried to commit suicide twice over her. Once with pills and once with turning up the gas in his oven and leaving his head in the oven and as a result it really did a number on his vocal cords and he couldn't sing for a while. I mean, Frank would fire bullets into the pillows in his room to make believe he was killing himself. So Ava Gardner would come by and take care of him. Crazy. And in a book I read about Ava Gardner. She said that they had the best search life. But as soon as the sex ended and Frank was wandering to the bathroom, they would have often the most magnificent fights. And that would ruin the night. But as she got older and she go to a restaurant owned by Frank's partner, jilly Rizzo, there was a big cardboard cut out of Frank at the door. And every time she came in, she'd walk in and scratch the face of Frank on the cardboard and say, I miss my guy. So as much as they thought, it was some real love there. Let's get back to Mickey, the coxswain Rooney. Because that's why this Betty Jane baker, that was the second wife. She's from Alabama. She was 17, she came on the miss Alabama pageant. And she went on to represent a state in the Miss America competition. That same year she beats Mickey. They get married. They have two children Mickey Rooney junior and Timmy Rooney, then they split up in 1949. And Betty Jane wasn't single long, was 8, 8 days after her divorce became final. She went to songwriter and the film composer buddy baker, and the two of them were together until 1958. By that time, you know, she changed her name to Betty Jane baker in Shenzhen. She enjoyed a successful career in music as a session singer. And she did background vocals for French. And Elvis Presley Sam Cooke, Bobby Darren, and Phil Spector. Her third and final marriage in 1961 was to the jazz guitarist Barney castle. And she dies in 2002. Okay, that doesn't seem like a big deal..

"Ladies. Would you like to be with Mickey Rooney? And he might not be fetching, but 9 and a half. It's quite a catch. But look, you know, outside of Lana Turner, where's Taylor? Judy Garland. Mickey, really had a ton of yesteryear Star Wars. And I always wondered why. Like I said, 5 foot two, not really handsome. Not a brooding stud. I look at it in movies and go, what is the attraction? Didn't have to kind of eyes that put a lady in a spell. He had no special physique, so it all had to come down to what his manner was of speaking to a woman. And now let's talk about the kind of scandals Mickey Rooney was all about. So Elizabeth Taylor had a passionate affair with Nikki Rooney when she was just 14 years old and he was a married man in his 20s. Imagine putting that scenario into today's society. A 14 year old girl and a married man in his 20s. He talked about me too. He would never see the light of day again. His career would be over. But Elizabeth Talbot was only 12 years old when she met making Rooney. He was then 24 and the time they met Mickey was 24 and married to his second wife, Betty Jane. And Mickey and Elizabeth Taylor starred together in national velvet back in 1944. That's the movie that made Liz Taylor a big star. Two years later, she was caught by Mickey Rooney's pregnant wife as she was going down on him. Yes, I know that for a fact because the great journalist, the late great journalist James bacon, who was a big part of our TV show mysteries and scandals. We used him a lot as an expert of what went on back in the day. He was the journalist that covered stars and James bacon was like a modern day me if you will..

"The car made a smile on the back end. Put painted frogs. Did to prague things color. I do was bright. Bright blue and so the effect is the effect is humorous and cheerful. I run all the forbidden foods. I brought to wedding cakes. I run three apple pies about five bags of unique pretzels at huge slab. Colby i had bottles of wine. Snickers bars i had bags of peanuts. I just ate that stuff. All up i got. It was great every little eaton town. I came into because my car was had huge blue polka dots on it. The kids would come running out of their houses and wave and i had my dog my beloved lewis carroll who was a big standard poodle. I had his top net was electric blue. And i'll pull into town and let lewis out and the people were just gather around. And i'd say had sex outside around here. No well. actually. I was a little bit more subtle than that. But you know even if you have an adorable car and an adorable dog. How in the hell do you approach random strangers and ask them whether or not. They've taken their bedroom gymnastics out by the tomato plants and the petunias. And if they obliged and talk to you well what the hell did. They actually say. The answers to those questions after the break. Nothing like a kick butt campsite after a long drive this. Rv handles like a dream taty. We're in the warning. You should call my friend. I took a page out of your rules for road tripping book. what are you talking about. Rule fifty seven. Mike when work. Has you stressed unplugging head out on the road okay. that's great but it is. I listened to your recommendations to my dude. I use the road trippers app to find cool attractions along my drive. And i exit for tasty grub and cheap gas then i found a stellar disburse campsite using guy. Why i am getting a new road tripping do not steal my rv you grabbed. My keys is screamed. Feeder revolucion disappeared. We're all humid plus your deadline. You'll be like six degrees. And i need yesterday. Mike shortages raking up. I'm in the middle of nowhere man to man. Not okay okay. Bye-bye new road trip rule. No bazi band producers allowed now. Let's see what. Mike has in the fridge. Road trips are the best to find out more about the incredible adventures. Waiting for you out on the road visit go are being dot com and follow at go are being on instagram for your road trip inspiration because the best kind of trips offer the freedom to roam with the comforts of home go. Rv don't just go on a trip. Go on a real vacation. When intrepid saxon romance advice writer e jean carroll hit the road to find out folks had sex outside and towns named eden along the east coast. She did so in her dot prius with her poodle and tons of snacks in the back seat. She also had an arm in a sling because right before hitting the road. She fell off a bridge while hiking. The appalachian trail breaking her arm in four places. Ouch but at least her road trip had an exact and clearly defined plan just getting. She did not have a plan. I really did you do any research about subjects prior to leaving. What what what never never accused me of doing anything. Like i was stunned to hear. You did research to talk to me. That's freaking me out. That is freaky. Oh you did zero research for. This really looked to see where some enes were then. That's it boy. The little towns of america are stuffed with character. They just the people there are fascinating. The media has completely overlooked these this little screen door town and when you arrive. They don't know enough not to talk to you. That's that's how innocent they are to get folks to open up each gene. Used what she describes as the trick of a seasoned reporter. I'm poking around. I've got a broken on. I've got a bag of pretzels with me. I've got a notebook. I've got recurs. I'm falling down a dog on a leash and they run over to help me. All i had to do was just look like oh. I'm so helpless. I can't i my broken arm. All my pretzels. Can you hold my hair. Can you take my dog and then pretty soon. They're walking the dog for me and we're talking and we're in the middle of the conversation and this is so beautiful this is aiden. My name is edging peril and then i would pull out an outside magazine. And then i'd pull out an magazine. Both of those. And i would hand them to the people and so then we've just have a conversation and then i say. How long have you been married. Oh you must have cleaved in the garden and then the giggling would start then. The conversation will get very very fun and entertaining because they were remember a wonderful things and once those conversations began boy. Oh boy did. E gene have some doozy's her first stop was eden township pennsylvania where she interviewed an amish. Couple named john and betty. Jane i did learn from the amish. That sex is god's gift and sex is very much a part of their lives. They're very much part. I would think they were. Too busy churning butter raising barnes and growing long long beards. I i had no idea. I'm lucky i've seen him driving in their carriages. They must be exhausted. Yeah i don't they get all that stuff done from their e gene made it just nine hundred feet outside of eden township when she met zach and kayla kid is wearing shorts with scripture knowledge. His darling girl while she blamed the fact that they'd never made love outside on him. She was perfectly willing and he thought that. If you were a gentleman you would never ask a lady to cleave outside so we got that straightened up real quick. And then there was chrissy in eden maryland whose dog looked like steve bannon. Oh my god that dog was and he's snarled the whole time at lewis carol ann lewis carroll almost ripped the window out of the previous to get to him. It was lewis's big dream in life to send that little chump to the veterinarian. Let me tell you chrissy hated eating. She had an adorable little trailer house with the beautiful garden and she hated there. She was in love and her boyfriend lived in some big town ocean city. I think and she was couldn't wait to get out of there. Move in with her boyfriend. Said oh you've cleaved. And she said she had nice. You've cleaved outside here and you know what she said. She couldn't tell me because she wasn't married. And i said but adam and eve were never married and she said what i said no. The lord never performed a marriage ceremony and still. She wouldn't tell me if she had cleaved outside in her regard but just down the street from chrissy was a very happy and very talkative and very satisfied. Farmer named kevin allen smith who was out tending to his kale field which gene sampled since she had been eating nothing but cake and candy long myself on the scale. I mean it was something green. I finally you know i had reached the limit and then of course i did the rest of the interview with my teeth completely green. He was a man who had cleaved in his garden. Did you spit the kale out. After that. no he he was he must have weighed four hundred fifty pounds at some. Big cleveland right. There did them big clearly. Hey get some big clearly. And then on her way to eden north carolina e gene was pulled over in her polkadot prius. And i know you're thinking but don't get your hopes up. why don't you ask the cop about cleveland. I was lucky to get off the ticket. I i was afraid. You know what i don't mess around with cops which reminds you have to go pay a ticket after i get off this okay. So anyway. Once e gene arrived in eden north carolina. She met a recently heartbroken nineteen year. Old named tony. Well maybe not too. Heartbroken cleaved e. Yeah he cleaved hundreds of times down the portage down at the boat. Vote the where you put boats in and out. He was an ambitious young man. And he will go places after. Tony gene met mister jerry's perkins and miss madeline run at the absolute perfect moment. Man was down on his knees proposing to a woman and that was it why and it turned out. Yes they clued but it turned out that she had been a madame phony a whorehouse and he had been a pimp and they had started this fresh life in aden. She was a volunteer advocate for women and so they had these kids who were taken away from their mothers. This couple took care of. It was charming charming moment in my life to see two people who come from that background. Who were making a fresh start together and doing good in the world a bit later on in her trip e gene rolled into eden georgia where she attended a church service and met leslie and buford high school sweethearts in their late seventies. Who promptly invited her to dinner. It was then that they hit her with a story so biblical it was as if it was told by adam and eve themselves like five minutes into this beautiful dinner and they're telling me about cuts making love outside on the pat. It was just. They were just brilliant. She told the story of leslie. He's outside with nothing on john as he never wears anything to go to bed and he's begging her to come out and she comes out and her little ninety and he's begging her to take it off and so she twitches it off and throws it away and then she backs up and then he says don't move. She thinks it's of course because she's so beautiful standing there with their foot on that when you sell her not to move one it happened. Is she'd backed right onto a rattlesnake. Whose head was up and lifted and leslie got shoveling killing. Was it like poetic. You've heard this we're like are you kidding in the garden in eden and a snake appears kidding me. It.

I really did come into this tournament with some apprehension. You know would have the women's slams in recent memory have been great truly developing in unexpected ways and some great matches and with the men's event. I just really thought. "Nice establishment. I love it. I love going out to nice bars. Me too. I mean, this is like during these unsettling time. I know. It's been the message is very unclear right now, I feel like. I just want to go to a bar. Well, you can at your own risk. Okay. This is my patient corner and we're in our own home bar. Where I really thrive. Yeah, we've really like, you know, really, during these times, it's like, we gotta make this our bar. Like, you know what I mean? Yeah. I mean, we've been casually looking at bars like we have no space for a while. Yeah, we don't. We'd have to convert our basement into a bar, but we have to wait until my son is old enough to even apartment. Walking my aching knees down to the basement to drink. I'll just drink on the main level. Thank you. Yeah. But it would be fun to have a bar down there. Maybe one day. Yeah. But it would also be fun to have a podcasting studio down there. Yeah. So. I don't know, someday, maybe it'll be like a home for one of our chills. Down there. I'm sure it will be. I mean, my parents had to go through that with me, so they went into all her. That's okay. It is okay. One of the things I like about the podcast is talking to David and I will I think the podcast is best like the episodes are really good. When we legitimately record on a Friday or a Saturday when we haven't, we've been really busy with kids and we haven't talked that much to each other. And then all of a sudden there's no kids here. So we decided to record the podcast and we could just. That was our dog. Sorry, Ellen. Anyway, we can just talk about all of the things that we haven't really all of the things. Do you guys do that with your partner? A whole week goes by and everybody's just busy and then finally, you get some space and you're just like, I'm gonna unload on you verbally. I'm gonna okay, okay. I am. But have been in it. I did. Well, listen, I gotta tell you the highlight of my week is just spending time with you. Okay, so I hope you know that. That's part of our can I try some of that? Is that Moby dick that you're smoking? No. Oh, I don't. Well, I want to try it anyway. Whatever was in this. That's the blend. Could have been a little Moby dick. Yeah. Now, I don't know. Do you have a lighter I can borrow? All right, guys. Let's return back to my desk. I apologize. This is the improvised edition. It's the math. This might be the drunk episode of mom and dad. Yeah. I'm on drink number two, but this is my patient corner. We're talking about what we're drinking and smoking. So I've got my mav glass big ass Bond. David was saying 18 inches. That sounds right to me. We are smoking Moby dick, cured for how long. That's a two weeks on like a couple days. I have not had movie taken a long time. It used to be one of my favorite strains that would always be at the dispensary. That's a thing. Isn't it interesting how over the years in Colorado, I'm sure this is like this any legal place. But one or two strains are like, you just see them all the time for a while and then you never see them again. They're just gone. Like I remember when super lemon haze didn't exist. Yeah. And then it was like two years when every fucking thing cartridge or flour, whatever was super lemon haze, which is a favorite strain by the way of wine. I love that strain. You know what I think? What? I think the super limit hazed you see in cartridges now? Yes. It is old, super lemon haze weed that they're just like, we grew so much of it a couple of years ago that it's like sit around and they're like, well, we're not gonna get rid of this. Let's make it into concentrates. Well, what's wrong with that? Nothing. I'm just saying, I think that's how the life cycle of maybe that's how my wife's like a little string goes, you know? I gotta say, the other day, somehow I ended up looking at Betty James lab reports. Yeah. Okay. Betty Jane is our half heavy flour company. And the lab tests were for, I think it was maybe December 2020, sometime in 2020, and I was like, damn. Our Betty Jane, you really get hemp or weed or whatever, and you just take care of it. You preserve it. It's like, you know? A thing. Like wine or whatever, you know? Yeah. You're not selling it instantly. But for like a good year afterwards, 7 times even, is it a year or is it like 6 months? I don't know. Either way. Almost coming up on a year. I think that's amazing. And I don't know. I feel like that's not talked about enough. No, and the funny thing is with hemp is the older it gets. It gets more potent and then it starts going downhill. So we'll just think about your cannabis, you guys, that you're buying from dispensaries, when you buy cannabis, like weed at the dispensary, you don't get the lab results. You don't know when it was harvested, you're just kind of judging by smell or whatever, and sometimes if you have something that's really like crispy and dry or like, oh, this must be some old as hell shit. But just like you can just put up a Vita in there and then it's like soft again. I don't know. I just think this plant and the preservation process is so interesting. It is. It is. And we don't know as consumers. I feel like we don't think about it. That much. Let me tell you something. Maybe we shouldn't have stigmas against old or not fresh things. Yeah. Well, because it's like cheese. Like, you know how there's like or why? Or wine, yeah, exactly. It's kind of the same thing. But I feel like stoners don't think that way. They don't think, oh, this has been but like when I'm reviewing a strain, I'll talk about like, oh, this is slow cute word or you know, and that denotes length of time. Yeah. Anyway. Yeah. Stoned things. No, it's true. And our hip is like that too. And I would say like to me Betty Jane is the finest hamstring that we have. It is the top. It is super potent. How much do we have? We have decent amount left. So I mean like we're running out of it though, and it's gone forever after this. So you might want to buy some right there. It really is. And we just did the thing with blunt blow mom and I only send her that. You at least have that idea. Yeah, and I was like, maybe, you know what I mean? Oh my gosh, it was hard to get rid of it, because I love that stream. And I don't, the plants lost, you know? I don't have it anymore. I do have some I do have some seeds though of it. I do have some seeds of it. So I could pop it. Honey, there is a seed. There's a weed seed on our bathroom counter. What has it? Speaking of bathroom counters. I have no idea. I was like, is that a bug? And I looked, I was like, that's a weeds. Where did you find it? Why are there weeds to exploding? Oh, you mean it was just sitting there? Yes, on the bathroom. But I sit there and I smoke weed, so maybe it fell out of my car. I didn't find it. Well, let's keep that one because I'll tell you what, I started a new grow from seed, and those are those purple paralysis age that you gave me. Remember? They worked. They they did, but I just messed around so much with getting my groom back together. I just killed him. I mean, I was like, I'm done. Because I know, but I mean like I have great seeds from that canon genetics

"It's nice to how that bannon it's such a shame. She had to miss three massive tournaments over the summer. But she said she's feeling much better and she's into the fourth-round at the us open for the first time in five years. Jesse said on the court three years and then In her press conference in her first answer she said. Actually it's five years. My brother just texted me told me that i got it. Wrong is definitely what brothers a full in my experience. Yeah i mean maybe it takes the pressure off having sort of a plastic still here on your thigh. Deny i mean it's interesting when there are there are situational parallels between smyrna halla. Pin gabby mcgreevey. Both of them have one french. Open and wimbledon tool of the cuff. It's that windy. Get both of them have won. A wimbledon title anna french open title and had decent results also at the australian open more. So how that space than margarita. But they've also by far had the least success grand slam wise at the. Us open for not necessarily all identical identical reasons. But i think there were a lot of parallels that they they usually come into the us open having expended most of their energy at some point earlier in the summer. And maybe they have the physical. Tennis energy have the mental energy to cope with new york. Whatever it might be but it feels different for both of them this year and definitely mcgrath that she just looks so mentally. Fresh agrippa man. It was a it was overall a great contest with other rank. I the third set sort of quality-wise maybe wasn't quite there through the so bits and bobs of the opening set. Which was there. Were some tough. After about forty minutes and it was to unite was a battle. It you know. Sort of a heavyweight wti clash with just both players refusing to give an inch you know. They've got quite similar games that both heavy hitters from the baseline and yeah. I think moog is so really fell fell apart in the second set she got broken multiple times but otherwise i thought it was a very good performance. Picking up on how she's done in the first round in the second. Hey she had a really tough draw and just as you say. There is a different energy about her in new york this year. I think she's really put pressure on herself in the past to to do well in new york. Because why shouldn't shea it. There's no reason why new yorker muga ruth. I should not walk. And i think she's just trusted where she is trusted. Her game trusted have preparation. She just seems very chilled and relaxed. I suppose and yet fresh and really paying off She now plays barbara creek chica. Yes plays they have split them actress this year old had to head Moog ruth won the dubai final in chica for one just a couple of weeks ago in cincinnati and mcgrath. That was interesting on on creek. She said i can feel the confidence in her shots in. Something has changed in quick since she won the french. Open and moog. Ruth has an opponent feels light. She can tell the difference you know just the way critique of hitting the bowl and she won very easily today she's one. I think twenty eight of last thirty one matches. Ps this is a us manger debut. Yeah she's failed to qualify number of times and making her main role debut and she's just breezed into the fourth round the transformation in less than a year really for hers song. We've said it before. Astonishing incidentally semester. How faces alina leaner in the next round physically. A one pretty handily against doric. Has it kina foreign too early. Those two epic battles they they do. Yeah i remember one in rome one in doha match. That shouldn't walk because That quite similar and you quite get that contrast to styles but it it really does work fit selena and actually on these slightly faster courts. I think i think it could even better we We've just had walkout until thrush more few minutes there to one on serve in the opening set naming a soccer against another eighteen old. Leyla leyla she's one of those plays where suddenly her middle name is Asni ronnie fernandez like bianca. Vanessa andretti and Holger vita scotus. What's it rune A courtroom there is another there was another night was like it would be like sort of seeing andris baron murray in the in the drawer this an anyway. Eighteen year old. Layla fernandez from canada is currently t went up. A name is the winner of this one takes on angelique kerber in the fourth round Because curb got the better of. And i'm going on the basis of david law commentary on the radio earlier that i was listening to in the call beat a pretty much top of her game. Sloan stevens today. And that is a fish and prospect. Anybody able to be you know. The narrative with stevens is all about how she plays all about whether she produces the best whether she turns out pushy turned up. Today david i think described her is just casually being brilliant in just casually knocking off sublime for hands won the opening set seven five and then six thousand six three the next two sets for which sound wise i think more one sided than they were very competitive. Matching kerber who. I continue to hear retirement rumors about just ridiculous. I mean she looks. She looks world-beating. Well she pretty much is. She's she's lost two matches. Since i think the french open and both of those were against nationality in the wimbledon semifinal and the cincinnati semi final. She won the tournament in bad bad. Homburg bad homburg turns out bad. Homburg was sort of the turning point of angela. We should have paid more attention to bad. Homberg i think is the moral of this story. The turning point of eventually curb is what was to be retirement here. If rooms it to be believed. I should say those aren't these aren't for many nailed on sources or anything but it's just one of those things that circulating around in the in the tennis atmosphere. Yeah it's it's an incredible transformation. It's just she's woken up. She comply like this. This is the actually cub that we should say And it's especially impressive considering the record she's had again stevens you know. Just as you say. Stevens it can be about her. She can beat kind of anyone when she's on but she especially beats actually curb she won. That last five matches been several years since curb. Got a win to drop the first set. And tha that make sure on. This is so impressive. I thought she broke down the stevens back end in the final sat she she she's targeted it and got some areas from it in a game is in such a place she. She slept at the betty. Jane king national tennis center the other night on the night of the on the night she was host to play all carolina colony yeah. She ended up playing yesterday. Delayed she She posted on instagram. A photo of her in the gym on a on a makeup bed that they got out for her she slept there. Played the war. This is starting to sound like it's the sort of thing that would reignite reenacted in the dramatization for a tv movie at some stage in the future or tennis live or.

"That's my that's my worry for asaba. Linka that. I think that she could retire without winning. A slam is just surely not i know people do. I know talented people do but surely she'll get there. You know this war a massive breakthrough four. She hadn't got past the fourth round of a slam. We also have chance. Yes yeah but i mean was party was playing the best tennis in the tournament. I think and actually i think. That's a factor. I think he's going to get harder to become time winner. You know we've got the next two slams. How slams naming asakusa dominated those in recent years if andress coups. She's a fact Sean tech party. I think we're going to see players with multiple majors at that crop. So they'll we the occasional measure to pick off. Perhaps for a first time winner. "Presents tonight because catherine just had a bit of a day of an exciting day and got fe up of the moment in the ferry chair. That twenty minutes earlier billie jean actual king was sitting in whilst we watched the football. That's not a sentence. I expected to be saying in my lifetime. Catharine with billie jean actual dog on her knee it happened. Yeah it's It's hard to process. It was lovely. Have you enjoyed it matt. I mean that is the most ridiculous question i've ever been out. This might have been. Was i think the greatest evening of my life. Billie jean king came round for curry to watch the football amazing with with alana. And it's just the best fund and we've just spent two hours. Just watching. England win four nil in the year to go into the semi finals after a day of wimbledon. And we've done it in the company. Jean king which is amazing. So let's talk about some tennis and we'll tell you one or two things that gene told us about what went on stays well in the process because it's been quite a day and i'm going to start the day by talking about young emma radicarti eighteen years of age from great britain before the tournaments. I i knew all about in terms of who she was. And that she's a very bright talent and spokane probably several years ago to. Niger says about her when she was i think probably about fourteen. He was working with her as a junior one or two days a week during her school holidays and things like that and and outs during school and he told me what a talent he thought she was. But when you get a breakout moment and we had the same thing okay. A three years younger with coca golf two years ago. I don't know it. I wasn't prepared for this at all. And she got a wildcard into this tournament very late on she basically. It wasn't on the wildcard card list. And then they decided to give a one after the after the event at the last minute because she had a good result against mayor bob austin she cut upgraded from a qualifying wildcard to a manger worker because there were few spots untaken and they were they were looking for lightly contenders and she did enough to prove herself worthy and that looks like quite a good decision doesn't it. It's yeah i mean it must have been less surprising to me if this had happened a couple of years ago. Two years ago. I was hearing hearing the name. Emirati carney a lot just around british tennis. Her name was the one that always came up. When when you quiet by genuine prospects of the future and then it all went quiet. And i know that coincided with a pandemic so the wildman. A bit quiet in in some respects. But you know. I heard some rumblings about the fact that she was focusing on her studies. And maybe that was not a great decision. You know that is as much as it might be as sort of pragmatic decision if you really wanna make it. You can't afford to be pragmatic in that regard but She stallone eighteen And cetinje billie jean king so that was a good decision. She said her parents always put the emphasis on on education and yet suddenly she's just pop back up into into my consciousness anyway So it's a very. I'm both really surprised and sort of not surprised all at the same time if that if that makes sense but is the first time i've properly watched her play. I think i. I caught a little bit of her in. Usa open genius to two and a half years ago. But this is the first time. I've really sat down and watched her and she's she's a great watch. It's it's easy on the eye. Tennis is really aesthetically pleasing tennis great. Why what matt moore. Maybe you can help us with disobey. Why is she so good to watch. If people haven't seen i was getting texts from my wife from my mother from my daughter all just raving about her. I mean from somebody who's watched a lot of tennis. What's what's special well. listening to. This podcast will now. I like a good backhand. And i also like to think i never go back and when i see one and amoretti con is back. Canned is a dream. I mean betty. Jane king says that back and that back had It's not just the back then. That's the shot which stands out yet so many winners of that today. I think the other thing which impressed me most was how much she appeared to love. The stage and that stage was caught one today and look. I don't particularly enjoy the narrative around players sometimes when it's often said by a male commentator about female players. Why aren't they smiling. I i absolutely hate that when that gets said but i think it's okay to comment. On the fact that read yukon new appeared to be loving every single moment of this. She was smiling after hitting her witness. And i just think you know sometimes what you're looking for is that isn't tangible with these players and with her it seems to be an appreciation for the state. She was on an an ability to rise to that occasion. Look she. She started the match well and was breakdown. But i thought well she's. I mean she's playing well here and then suddenly she had a surge like she had against vandross shaeber a few days ago and i think i think today she wants seven or eight games in a row in the middle portion of the match and she said of showed just how dominant her tennis can be. It's powerful tennis. It's great shop making the so many winners. And then in the second set she showed that she can be match tough as well because there were some really long games one in particular i think had nine or ten uses which she actually lost and then she came out the next game and an held her serve so she seemed to really understand the dynamics of a match and how to compete she kinda just showed everything today and the court one crowd absolutely loved her. It was it was a real moment. You know real hello you kind of hello world. Kind of moment from her today. I think it was. It was amazing to watch. I try to be a little these days. Having got carried away so many times over the years. But i feel.

You know, they of course changed the history of the comics to put her in World War one as opposed to World War Two but you know, otherwise it was fairly similar. Okay. I did not know that is that like who I know that they create a page that that Wonder Woman was created I think in the thirties or something by some psychiatrist or something William Martin William Moulton Marston, I think I'm pronouncing that correctly sensation Comics. Number one, I think 1939. Okay. So was her first appearance. Oh, so it was and said and she had those boots and she was wearing that outfit. To get pretty much. Yeah, I mean it was a little bit different but not too much. Okay, I think it I think it had sort of like a Roman skirt on it as opposed to you know, if anything else..

You may not know the answer this. I'm just gonna curious about something when it comes to going back to the vaccine story and the governor? Yes. On hospitals to see you saying holding on to Doses. Um When you when they vaccinated their people, it's a two To dose vaccine right, So it seems like they would hold back half. So those people who get their second dose. Yeah, he says that what he's not referring to that or doing I think my understanding is they were holding on to those particular doses for their own patients as needed. Um, And so that's why I said, you've got to release him and I think based on what I'm reading now because there is a vaccine being developed, and I think it takes seven days toe You know, to manufacture that scene that they want. They want everybody to get that first round. And then there will be enough for the second round battle helicopter shitting again. This is from different sources. And I don't have everything sitting in front of me. So don't go. You don't know that. You have the answer. I just I know in talking with some Some friends over the weekend, saying that yet her sister got it because she's in that category. She's older, you know they were category and she said, But you know the question what she's got an appointment to come back and X number weeks or did they make that appointment? And they were talking about. Well, when they give you the dose. They're trying to hang on. At least that was their speculation. Do they hang on to that second dose and wait for you to come back or they just give them all out and hope that they have him By the time you come back again. I don't know Standing is they're not doing that there. They want to go ahead. Shoot him out as soon as I get there was some of that, But then you've got such high demand. It's like the thought processes. Let's go ahead vaccinators, many as possible and and we'll make more. It's like burritos. Go ahead. We'll make more something like that. But again. I think this is Ah, well, I'm getting a tea ready. Let's see. First responder. No. Okay. He was just talking. This is a first responder, saying, um, in his category. He's supposed to be be able T O get a vaccine now, but he can't get his shot until March again. That's because all the appointments that Phil girl Yeah, so quickly. There's only so many people who can give the shot. Yeah. And That I mean demand is just outpacing supply. Right now. I think they can give still a little every 11,000 per day. That's George's allotment, the state's allotment. So, um, I can't remember every day or do we know? Yeah, that my understanding is that's being done. Um, but the appointments are spaced out because you don't have contact well, that and it takes longer as a zoo, the governor said last week. You don't just walk in like you do with the flu shot, get popped in the arm and go home who sit there for 15 minutes to make sure there are no adverse reactions. You have to do all that paperwork you and and then you make the appointment for the next one. So it doesn't take five minutes. It takes much longer, so you can't distribute as many per day. Does that make sense? No, no, This is a totally different vaccines. But they are doing more talked to Ah, a state lawmaker over the weekend in a private conversation, and I think this is okay to say, but he was saying that You know, there are some rumors that that the health Department they're only giving 67 vaccines per day. That is not true. No, there's flat full and it's getting slower, but it they're distributing what they can per day. They're looking at pulling in nursing students. That was the information we got from the public Health department locally this week, so they have enough people to actually give the vaccines and open up more stations. But anyhow, my first responder friend Oh, no, It's the same thing, Okay, said earlier anyhow. Yeah, we know there are lots of issues. I don't have all the answers. I'm only going on What I told you. What? I don't know if they're if you had any more, because I got to thinking about that going. Hey, what's to step dose? Maybe that's why they're Okay, That's not the case in all right, and that it might have been at first. But that's not supposed to be the case. Now. The goal yesterday the governor talked about is to have every nursing home resident in the state vaccinated with the first round by the end of this month. Excellent. So there was that there are all kinds of components to this. And then they talked about doing the massive vaccination sites in the state. Well, and I forget where was in Philadelphia or somewhere where they're taking the stadium. And they got to turn that into a vaccination site and start with they think they could do it 300 today But then by the time they get into spring they're looking at doing you know several 1000 a day just whipping him through there. And doctor to me mentioned that yesterday. They did not specifically say to my knowledge where those would be there. Just working to develop that right now. All right. Well, thank you. Much lots to talk about. There will be for a while till we get all this dealt with true that true that night, and we'll be here to talk about it.
