We're so in awe of your creativity in dealing with a difficult situation ache. You thank you appreciate it on your show. Yes absolutely now. You're all wearing masks. I feel like I should put my little betty boop mask back on. So I'm yes absolutely and I want you to tell me more about what you do. You are a Portland based Strip club and you were selling food because everybody does does if you have alcohol you gotTa have food right in the state of Oregon. You have to have to serve food along with Serving alcohol right so so you were already serving all this good food and then you got the news like everybody else kind of suddenly but gradually that everything was closing. And how did this come up in your head? So basically I had jumped on twitter and just said I just announced. Hey were were. Were closing the bar down before getting. Try to keep the kitchen open. We'RE GONNA try to keep the employees going and I said as a joke We're going to send strippers to your doorstep. And they're going to deliver the food to topless recall at Buber and I said that tweet out. On the sixteenth of I woke up on Saint Patrick's Day on seventeenth looked at my phone in the morning. "Captain Max's eats you make the best food. Yeah make good food. There's also Anna beans. Where's Anna be named Eric. And of eggplants are. Here's the house mother in Niqab. Yeah absolutely wow. I like how this matches your whole mask matches right very nice. Is that one scar for two one scarf. All around your head and you could you know you could be a very devout Muslim women. I mean pass because you could pass right. I'M GONNA put on my mask while you're here so well. Yeah I think I. Should you know because we're going to close now? I had enough banana and now we should be responsible and wear masks and actually my microphone is down so maybe Max could do some talking. What do you need okay? I just everybody should put their mask on now while we're finishing up so we should all be masked as we say. Good night and you know not. Everybody wears masks. It's funny some people don't want to because Of their religion I guess or whether it's like trump religion or the holistic kind of religion It's it's like a kind of a away. Some people are who are suspicious of science and I signed a little suspicious of science but not that suspicious of science degree. And so you know. I don't wear my mask all the time that I should but I try to where it sometimes so now you can get closer to the While you're sitting at home get the book. Yeah get the book. Let me actually. I'm going to send you some books for the Outta Scotland for you guys. Okay so you can share them. Yeah well we have. The Book Have Been Oboe. Way because we feel that. Strippers I gotta get my mask straight. You know the important thing about the mass is that it the very Very much over your nose and your Chin which I always find a little tough to do with these handmade things improving. My Hand. Made Masks Skills Over the course of the week I've learned how to make these masks and And Yeah it's like Whoa. It's upside down but nobody else does love to touch. The numbers loved to have sacs. Penelas love to kiss but there is a way to be Bonobo even into core and apocalypse such as what these great strippers are doing from the lucky devil elites because they're also visual. They liked to watch each other. You know if they were closed they'd be doing strip-tease But they don't wear clothes but they certainly dance for each other. And that's part of sensuality. There's always a way to experience that hit that shot that that you know motor rev up that you get from sexual excitement and we shouldn't lose that we should always find ways to get that and we shouldn't be discouraged or shamed by people that say that it's not important or that it's not worthy of the same respect that other workers get people that work in sex our workers and you know elbows have sex workers they go. Hey I'll give you some sex if you suck my banana. So there you go or they trade food for sex. We changed a commodity for sex or even for dance. That is a form of sex work. And it's not just two minute goes on in nature so This has been bedside chat number four the Bonobo way in the tradition of FDR's fireside shots. Very cosy you know and in a time of great difficulty when we just have to be very resourceful and not lose our humanity and sometimes it's funny but A creature that's not even human like the Bonobo can teach us the most about humanity being humane and they're very humane because aside from the sex or in addition with sex they share. They know how to share. They could teach us about sharing. And it's important to flatten the curve in terms of this virus. Yes that's that's number one. But number two very close is flattened the inequality curve you. Listen up all my billionaire. Brothers and sisters yeah. You shouldn't be hardened that money. That's worse than Hoarding Toilet Paper Right. Don't be hardened that money we now we gotta you gotta you gotTa start coughing it up. We really should be taxing it. We really need your money. I hate to say we don't want you to die. We're not going to get all the money you want to share. It like noble. Well no you can't all the money off. People voluntarily even have enough fucking fight you to get some money out of it you have plenty money and so are your spoiled Brat kids you know and so give up and this is the perfect time to do that during a pandemic you know first of all you should be given money to all the sex workers once you know once. You don't know everybody check for them. Then they're going to go out and work because how you don't want to see that you could have phone sex or Webcam. Sex with them are ordered some food. You know it's a dangerous time to be having sex and breathing their molecules or anyone's molecules. Maybe even your spouse you know their spouse goes out a lot and some people's does but in any case support your local sex workers and your international sex workers. That's a big 'cause I would love to hear about a billionaire getting behind and there are other great causes too. I mean of course. All of our medical Workers that's important to get them equipped or they'll be quitting on us. They're just they're just say fuck this. Thank doing this you know and so we need them we need them much more than stockbrokers so follow the Bonobo way like Bonobos not babboons tip your sex workers and make love to someone you love even if that someone is you. I love you like this. Like we're hugging can hug like adjust my time? Craig Act Psychos. Can't talk about with.

"Ways and It's Kinda disturbing you know because it really is about no physical touch and you know. I'm very Bonobo. I I believe in the value in the health mental and physical health of physical touch. But we can't do that now. So is this the future of sex cybersex phones through Webcam now Sexting disinfecting love dolls and hardly any real human to human contact physical contact Chris. Humans connect because we're compelled to so now we're doing that in this way through cameras and distancing devices that somehow bring our hearts together but still body is a temple the soul you know Our bodies how were we survive? No human touching or not much. You know I don't know but I do know that we survived it and There could be a bounce back when I say we survived it. Of course I'm talking about with a lot of people are talking about these days the other time that this happened. Yes there was another time. One hundred years ago when there was the great influenza pandemic pandemic of one thousand nine hundred thousand nine back when the people used to live in black and white because color wasn't invented right they couldn't even see color. They were all like dogs right. But what's really amazing about the photos were showing? Can we show these photos on? If they're really they're really cool because they show both how different we are. And how much the same. We are. Now. Our masks very similar. Although they don't have betty boop masks now but they do. Have you know their masks? Look like our surgical masks that we use and and also They just look just stay there. They don't have a lot of what we have no doubt but they are going through what we're going through and hopefully we won't go through as bad as what they went through. I mean this h one n one flu. What they called it killed fifty million people around the world fifty million and right. Now we've had over one hundred and fifty thousand deaths which is a lot but fifty million. Wow so it's a respiratory thing with and it's a respiratory thing with us it's respiratory yes. It's the same thing it's just a different hundred years a different presentation of of this virus of this enemy of humanity. You know that Mother Nature has sent out against us more powerful than before so You know back then. They didn't have the Internet to connect themselves of course but also no. Tv No radio They had the telephone but they barely used it and it was no vaccines. Cause we don't have seen for this yet. But many and no respirators respirators are kind of they. Keep you alive. But they're kind of evil machines. I've been on one But at the same time they do keep you alive and there's a small chance you will survive but there was a lot of sickness and death and a tale of two cities teaches us. Why we're doing this crazy thing. Putting on masks and physical distancing one of those cities is my hometown Philadelphia and after a few cases of this virus came into Philadelphia Philadelphia decided to hold a big parade for all the soldiers coming back from world war. One you know. They like parades. As much as the trump and stain you know and they had one a big parade thousands of people and then thousands of people got sick and another city. Who had the same amount to begin with with Saint Louis and they shut everything down including their parade and within days you know they just had like a few hundred cases any had twelve thousand and both had started with under one hundred so This was called the Spanish flu even though it was really the Kansas flu because it originated probably in Kansas among American soldiers but the Spanish people were not on any side in world war one so they were the only ones that reported on it. Everybody else kept it on the down. Low just like we've been doing and other countries but mainly the United States but yeah. Everybody doesn't want to deal with it. These are politicians. Don't like to deal with pandemics. They're not as sexy as war and capitalism they're very. They showed the weaknesses of capitalism and they are a war. That doesn't use any of the equipment that we spent billions of dollars on so. Y- politicians never like them. But you know the people have to deal with them handle them and my own dad was one of thousands of Philadelphia children who Got Influenza and no. He didn't die because he was seven years old and he became my dad and let her full great life but he did in his very late. Years get Parkinson's disease and they said it might have had something to do with influenza of nineteen eighteen. Maybe not but I always wonder I wondered then if that was the case and now I really wonder if people who have it now. What will and if they so-called recover what will happen is it. How does it stay with you? It's just these these viruses. These bugs are just too nationless soldiers in this war that is in which are bombs are useless and you know this really bad. It seems like things are going from bad to worse but you never know you never know because one year after they got over that influenza of nineteen eighteen which lasted about two nine thousand nine hundred nineteen and then they kind of went through a little depression and then suddenly the roaring twenties with Betty boop came roaring out and the stock market skyrocketed and the jazz age of Betty Boop came about. You know all this great music all this dancing short skirts liberation. Lots of fun Bathtub Gin. You know 'cause liquor was actually illegal but they still drank more than probably usual and you know great gatsby. If you had the money of course could be terrible if you didn't have the money and the erotic world of Berlin and as if you know me from way back when might have seen video. We did on Y Mar love. That's right with Professor Mel Gordon. Author of voluptuous panic the erotic world of why Barbara Lynn and yeah. It was party. It was really a sex party you know and then then then who knows what happened then class. I don't know if you'd say what comes up. Must come down but you know down. It went the Stock Market Crash of Nineteen Twenty nine the Great Depression then Nazis World War. Two and the atomic bomb. Our fault United States fall with the German scientists you Nazis but that was certainly bad bad. Anyway I guess as a human being you never know maybe mother nature is really coming at us this time because we have so crippled life on earth not the earth itself but life sentient forms of life like us. Yeah the bacteria will live on and the viruses and perhaps develop into something but Yeah it's it's tough You know the eleventh step of the twelve steps to liberating no-go is swing through life. Brothers and sisters.

"Hard to be perfect impossible to be perfect so you best you can. And that's what I did with this mask. That's a little sorta strange and it. It kind of looks like I'm wearing a mustache but really I'm Betty Boop. Yes Betty Boo. Betty boop was created in one thousand. Nine hundred thirty you could show betty boop on the facebook camera there. She is sitting on her Name just like I'm sitting on my couch here. Betty boop is a great inspiration for me and so many other people on the so. Many people have a connection. I don't know if she's always an inspiration but she's just so often connection and yes. She came out in the nineteen thirties There's what's cooking. We're GONNA be talking about food and sex so she's dressed as a cook. Kissed the Cook. Who So cute very cute. Very Niazi looks young but is older and looks almost like a poodle. They've said or some kind of little crush between like a pug and poodle. Originally when Max Fleischer drew her she was adopted very first job. Yeah a poodle. Kind of pug almost like an English bulldog without without wrinkles but But this was her sexy era when she wore little. You know Kinda boosts. Da Top. This was in the nineteen thirties which was just a couple of years before. Fdr delivered his first fireside chat and she was a very kind of sexy girl for those days. Of course a cartoon you know not like I mean I love Minnie mouse. But she wasn't that sexy and And and they they later kind of Censored her but she looks real cute as a nurse to do you have the nurse Betty boop and and we have her giving a message to our nurses now see little more conservative there but still very cute and sexy always sexy just a little more Republican. But she's got sleeves. You're not in a boost year and And and she's banking are nurses because we really should we love nurses.

"Ways and It's Kinda disturbing you know because it really is about no physical touch and you know. I'm very Bonobo. I I believe in the value in the health mental and physical health of physical touch. But we can't do that now. So is this the future of sex cybersex phones through Webcam you now Sexting disinfecting love dolls and hardly any real human to human contact physical contact Chris. Look like our surgical masks that we use and And also They just look straight. You know they're they're they don't have a lot of what we have no doubt but they are going through what we're going through and hopefully we won't go through as bad as what they went through. I mean this h one n one flu. What they called it killed fifty million people around the world fifty million and right. Now we've had over one hundred and fifty thousand deaths which is a lot but fifty million. Wow so it's a respiratory thing with and it's a respiratory thing it's respiratory yes. It seems like things are going from bad to worse but you never know you never know because one year after they got over that influenza of nineteen eighteen which lasted about two nine thousand nine hundred nineteen and then they kind of went through a little depression and then suddenly the roaring twenties with Betty boop came roaring out and the stock market skyrocketed and The JAZZ AGE OF BETTY. Boop came about you know all this great music all this dancing short skirts liberation. Yeah the bacteria will live on and the viruses and perhaps develop into something but Yeah it's it's tough You know the eleventh step of the twelve steps to liberating no-go is swing through life..

Ebola outbreak in Congo declared a global health emergency

"An outbreak of Ebola is taking a terrible toll in the Democratic Republic of Congo more than one thousand six hundred people have died and twelve new cases are being reported every day now the World Health Organization says this is an international health emergency David Gresley is the U. N.'s Ebola emergency response coordinator he's on the ground in the P. R. C. now he's been working with the W. H. O. and other organizations and governments to stop the spread of this outbreak good morning Mister Grassley good morning so the W. H. O. had the opportunity to declare this symbol outbreak of global health emergency a couple times they did not it but now they have what does that do for your efforts to stop the virus from spreading well I I think it highlights to to everyone in the region and internationally the seriousness of the out break here it's been going on now for fifteen months it was only discovered twelve months ago but it's been going on for fifteen months and we're seeing infections move into into Goma more recently but we have cases going into Uganda in another case getting close to the border of south Sudan so was largely confined to the area yeah in north key will any three provinces he keeps moving out to different areas and always a risk for a new chain of transmission to start so I think that's where the real threat to the concern is that if you go much further than it has up until now hello yeah let me ask you about the city of Goma because we have the first case confirmed they're gonna is a Congolese city on the border with Rwanda about a million people live there it's a big place how much of a problem is this well it will be a problem if there is a continuation of the transmission from the case that came to Goma obviously lot of every has just been done over the last forty eight hours to to try to ensure that there's no further transmission from the patient who came into Goma a lot of contact tracing and lacks a nation those who were in contact no only in Goma but on the path that he took from Betty Boop Tembo all all the way into coma so that's I seem to be going quite well is gone up to guarantee there will be for the transmission but if there were a further transmissions a large city it has access it's got International Airport it's got access throughout the Congo it's a busy airport there and it's a big commercial center of course is a lot of movement across the border into Rwanda and into East Africa so it remains a threat if you were to be established in Goma of course we as I said we're doing everything we can to make sure that that doesn't that doesn't happen that the transmission of stopping that patient I want to ask you that this vaccine that you mentioned I know that it has had some success in slowing the outbreak to all of the areas affected have access to that vaccine absolutely what is happening in each time there's a case than those who have been in contact with that patient family members health workers are vaccine offered the opportunity vaccine nobody's forced to take the vaccination and secondly there's what's called our fire ng system that was put around cities of vaccination contracts many people more broadly to try to slow the movement to to other parts of the country and that has been I think a successful not in a rally kidding but containing the virus into the into the general area that stands for the last twelve months in the seconds we have left how much longer do you think it'll be before this outbreak is contained it will take a long time to really see this through even to get down to zero cases the possibility of new cases coming up it is real because it stays in people's blood and you can get the transmission David Grassley you ends Ebola emergency response
