"Two time PGA winner 1970 its Southern hills in Tulsa in 1976 at Congressional in Bethesda, Maryland, and I looked at the weather forecast out in San Francisco. It's in the sixties. It's chilly. And we all know. Hey, it's sunny. Just a very small chance of rain. We all know about San Francisco. Whether the later it gets the colder it gets. I'm looking. Okay. Dustin Johnson has the lead. Arguably one of the most talented golfers in the world. Right now, he could very well win this thing. But playing in the last group, I'm saying somebody come out of the pack. Put up a good number. And is the weather deteriorates. You know, I look at Hey, get post to score. Get in the clubhouse. I'm looking for somebody to come out of the out of the blue and win this thing by posting a number and then watching the leader's possibly deteriorate as the weather deteriorates, so I'm really looking forward to that. So, Hey, it's time to take a break and when we come back If we don't have college football, and you know, we know the NFL was angling to have some games played, You know, on Saturdays. Well, it's the rites of spring transferring To the fall. We'll talk about that. When we return. "Florida reporting another record number of Corona virus cases today, Health officials say there were more than 15,300 cases with 45 deaths. Surgeon General Dr Jerome Adams on CBS's face the Nation. He was asked about the recent spikes and what the administration's plans are. We do have a national testing strategy. We're working with states to give them all the supplies that they actually asked for. So askew occurred ing that we're happy with where we are. Please don't mistake me for saying we're happy with with where we are. What I'm saying is that we're working with states to make sure we can respond to this incredibly contagious Davies and part of that again, if making sure we're slowing the spread. By helping people understand the importance of wearing face coverings in good hand hygiene and staying home when they can't Adams now says. If everyone wears a face covering, we could turn the corner in 2 to 3 weeks. The 15,299 people who tested positive Is about 4000 mohr than previous records that had been held in California and in New York. New cases still hovering above 600 Michigan The state added 653 new confirmed cases 28 additional deaths as well yesterday of the state notes. However, 22 of those doubts were identified during a review of records. Meantime, a new executive order calling for maths to be worn in stores, restaurants and other public places goes into effect tomorrow morning. Governor Wittmer said last week that she's concerned about the rising number of cases. If we let our guard down, we could see a rapid increase in cases and deaths here in Michigan. That means more people getting sick. That means more people. Dying from this disease for the sake of your loved ones. For the sake of our economy. Please mask up When you go out. The new order requires any business that's open to the public to refuse entry or service to people who refuse to wear a mask. Her face covering people who don't cover their face could be fined. Dr. Fauci says White House testing everyone

"Back now with doctor Anthony Fauci the man at the forefront of trying to slow down covert nineteen in the U. S. he's head of the National Institute of allergy and infectious diseases I'm curious as to how you been out operating in the world if you have gone out or maybe you're still children emplacement going straight to work work but but have have you you been been to to a a restaurant restaurant have have you you been been to to the the gym gym I I live live in in Washington Washington DC DC I'm I'm an an essential essential personnel personnel for for obvious obvious reasons reasons on on the the temperature temperature of of the the task task force force I wear a mask whenever I go out in public I don't congregate in crowd safety sixty sixty away from people I go to my place at the national institutes of health in Bethesda morning I stay there you know half the day and then I go down to the White House you don't go into the White House unless you get tested for the protection of the president the staff so every time I walk into the White House to get tested so today I got tested and I'm negative do you worry though because everybody wants you to stay healthy so the highs are negative yeah and and you know we were watching a bunch of us were watching the news conference earlier we couldn't help but noting noting that although you were wearing a mask when everybody goes up to the podium you know you don't wipe down the microphone to your figure what kind of standard do you first do you personally worry much about contracting covert because you're in a high risk group let's face it you know I am I am I am I I I think you know nobody knew was a lie group risk will be delivered to talk about my age yeah I'd like now to really know it but I am I am in in in in a high risk group you know as an infectious disease person the life that I've chosen I was involved in the very early years of HIV what we know what the heck it was I was taking care of patients you know day and night you know I've been through the ball are taking care of the ball of patients I've been through all of the infectious disease outbreaks so I have to say it isn't that I'm braver than anybody else but this is what I do this is my job it's kind of like yes the fireman you know you're free to go into a fight with that's the life that that person is chosen I've chosen a life of tracking down there fighting infectious diseases is there a risk yes but you know I'm the one that shows it so I don't I don't worry about it have you eaten one of the cupcakes with your face on it no so I have but you see them right I mean you've seen the T. shirts you see and bumper stickers in the Fouts on the couch pillow is a good one I found today what do you think of all this well you know it's it's a it's a bit surreal I don't take that seriously that that's me I think what it is it's become a symbol because I've been out there speaking the truth trying to get data route trying to talk in an evidence based way in a country that you know that I love dearly and about a country that script in something that they need some comfort and some confidence that people are taking seriously so I become all right bye made my my image has become a symbol but but you know I'm still twenty found she the scientist Dr you know live in Washington DC my friends you know who I am but the rest of the public when they see that you know it becomes more of a symbol than the reality of what I am are you apply no you're worried about other pandemics in the future and maybe you won't be so long before we have the next one have we learned anything from this one and are we taking any action based on what we've learned so that when the inevitable next pandemic comms we are more prepared well yes I mean we have done that we had a pandemic preparedness plan which we put a lot of work into as we were worrying about you remember the famous bird flu the chicken flew back in two thousand five thousand thirteen at a high mortality but it never developed the capability of an effectively and efficiently going from human to human we put a big plant together but this virus that we dealing with now is really so unprecedented certainly if you analyze it and people will analyze it every which way but Sunday when this is over about what we could've done better what we did poorly but this is such an extraordinary virus it kind of like the perfect store form of an outbreak in why it took the world with such a crush and why it is already done so much damage you know there are a couple of characteristics the virus have that would make it really really difficult to contain you know one jump species is a new virus that we've never seen before number two it infects humans number three it affects them very very efficiently spreads like wildfire and then the before what it is it has a high degree of morbidity mortality particularly in vulnerable people so if you have one but not the other of those things are not that bad I give you two quick examples of these because it's important for people to appreciate when we had the chicken flu the one that just jumped from chickens to humans what it did affect the unfortunate children the mortality with like thirty five forty percent terrible the only thing is it was extremely efficient it didn't fit in the person it did not spread from person to person then in two thousand and nine we had the famous swine flu pandemic which was really a pandemic a new virus H. one N. one it had the capability of spreading very very rapidly but on the other side of the coin it wasn't particularly virulent would hardly kill anybody compared to the seasonal flu but what we have here we have one virus that has all of the above it jump species from animal to human it very very efficiently spread from human to human I mean in a frightening way and then number three it have a high degree of ability of metallic particularly among the vulnerable that's the perfect storm of a pandemic and that's the thing that happens like the last time this happened was over a hundred years ago in nineteen eighteen so yes we prepared but clearly the world was not prepared enough hopefully the lesson you learned from this that we know that the unimaginable which this was actually can happen so you really have to be prepared for it well it was a perfect storm Dr we're glad you're working on

'Elder Scrolls 6' Details Still 'Years' Away, Says Bethesda VP Pete Hines

"The elder scrolls six next news will likely be years from now This is from Joe. Scowls at Aegean who writes? Don't expect details on the eligible six until years from now according to Bethesda senior vice president. Pete hines responding to a tweet asking for information about the next Gen. Game Hines was making clear. That news on the on the still fairly unknown star field is coming. Well before anything on elder scrolls have the tweet here right. Quitting Myers on at Kilowatt Q. Tweets at behind says all right check it out at which is behind his twitter. Let's cut the shit. When can we expect some info on Hashtag the girls six? We need this. Hashtag with the Hashtag elder schools. Hashtag behind responded to that saying it's after star. Fueled which you pretty much about. So we're coming to me coming at me for details now and not years from now. I'm failing to properly manage your expectations. We are in the article continues. We already know we already knew. Not to expect star field or eligible six news this year. So it'll likely be some time before we hear anything about either game but that's the won't be holding a digital replacement forty-three this year but it does plan to deliver news on death loop and go soir. Tokyo in some form. Tim Does this surprise you. it does not surprise me my favorite thing about it though is quitting. Myers the First Guy. The tweeted just straight up. Sam Cut this shit expects of Info. I love the brazing this of it. All but also hines our boy being transparent trying to come through and so the expectations right which. I think is a key element of the games industry over the last couple of years. I think has been this idea of. Hey they're people too and US people want to get to know those people and we want there to be a type of dialogue back and forth with what social media allows conversations. Like this to happen. I feel like there's no excuses to not transparent about this type of thing right when Especially when it comes to expectations and especially in a world that no longer has three and a lot. More questions are up in the air. Where every year would be like this week. What's everyone announcing? What's but they're going to do. But does this press conference because we know. But that's going to do a press conference now. We know they're not doing one. We don't know we know they're going to be parts of some of the various game festivals going on this summer. Where are they going to be? To what extent is that going to be focusing on games already know about New Games one game? It's definitely not going to be what we traditionally see from. Thanks to kind of like rolling out there. Update their entire catalog right. But I do think that this is a learning curve that everyone's going through and as we saw last week with xbox staying the I don't think anyone's ever going to nail it because people are always going to have their own expectations going into these different events. But I do think that the more you can get ahead with it. With facts of star field is next. Agusan important thing no girls six years away. That's an important thing to to get ahead of right. So people aren't even speculating. Yeah like especially for schools which is a title that you showed off or not showed up but you you literally showed off the title. I believe either last year the year before that I can remember times a flat circle at this point but you gave us the title. Our school six. I feel like I feel that might have been a mistake. I think that might have been too early. Understand why they did. It did it. Because announcing star fuel start you worried about what's happening with schools? We are very much looking forward to the next elder scrolls right because Room was. This was a breakout success. Like of course like people already knew. But that's the studios specifically from fob three and oblivion the previous elder scrolls games but sky room was a success on another level and with that being the case right like people are very much looking. Forward to elder scrolls six but when star field is your next project. And you're you're announcing that right. You WanNa you kind of. WanNa you WanNa let that happen with the lease like hate skepticism as possible. And the way you do that is by also confirming to people at yes. Oh Scroll six is still coming in the future what that what that does though is this right. It has people tweeting at behind being like. Yo like so When can we expect this knowing Dan? Wells not going to be like it's not imminent by any means old. School six is years and years and years away at this something that I've been talking about a lot with with you. Greg over the last couple months is. I like the idea of different games having different types of schedules. When it comes to to hype marketing I feel like the majority of games would benefit from the fallout four rollout plan which is kind of like announcement press tour and release within right. Yeah like that's great. That's fantastic but I do think that there's something special about games. That are kind of like the more Unicorn death stranding types. Where here's this game that's announced and we know it's coming we know it's going to be a huge game but it's GONNA be years down the line? I think that elder scrolls is that type of game where we know. There's going to be an oldest sex. Guess what there's going to be. An elder scrolls sadden like. That's how this works right. So I just announcing it and confirming that it's happening is to me kind of like a metric prime four situation where. I welcome it like to me. Knowing that a metric prime is coming is valuable information granted. That's a perfect example of how this can go wrong where it wasn't going well they had to restart. It's going to be even later than even plant but as a Nintendo Fan. I know a metro is coming before that it would have just been speculation of. Is it ever come back? What's going on now? It's like okay. At least it's happening and I really would elder scrolls. We know it's happening so it's like yes. People are going to be asking questions. But then I feel like now pecan actually give answers whereas before with this question he would necessarily be able to say After star field. Because it's not officially announced even though

"So then we get to Bethesda soft works Bethesda. Soft works started back in nineteen eighty six and it was known for making lots of different games, including the elder scrolls series in two thousand four, but as announced it had secured, the licensing rights to create a single player fallout game, and they had secured these rights from interplay. So they were paying interplay. So that they could create a fallout game interplay. Meanwhile, was in the middle of overseeing a fallout based massively multiplayer on. Line game. Emma MO and this was being developed by another company at the time called masthead studios in two thousand seven the negotiated to purchase the intellectual property of fallout outright from interplay for five point seven five million dollars. Interplay was still going to be allowed to work on this IMO, which was known as fallout online. So the idea was, but as though would work on the single player game and interplay would oversee the development of this online multiplayer game this remained the case until two thousand nine and then, but as the software announced it was going to rescind the license it had granted to interplay for the fallout IMO and the reasoning for Bethesda decision was that the Bethesda claimed interplay had failed to meet its obligations to get proper funding together and to enter into full-scale development. On time. And so according to Bethesda software interplay was in breach of contract interplay disputed these claims, and it all headed toward court eventually the two companies would arrive at a settlement agreement, but part of that agreement was that interplay would officially cancel the fallout online project. And so I got the axe while all that was unfolding in courts. But does data was developing its own fallout. Single player game in house, and it started in July two thousand four much of the early. Work was limited because the studio was also in full production mode for the fourth game in the elder scrolls franchise, the new game that they were working on would become full out three which had a dramatically different gameplay approach then fall out one or two rather than that third person. Try metric view of fallout one and fallout. Followed three could be played first person style. So from the perspective of the player, you are in a three world, and you saw through your characters is or you could play as kind of a sort of over the shoulder third person view if you wanted to the game was largely true to the the Matic and stylistic elements of its predecessors despite this new approach to presenting the world to the players so while while on a game Blais level, it was dramatically different. It was true to the tone and themes of the pre existing follow games. It's also the first follow game I ever played. So I really soft spot in my heart for fallout three in that game. You play as a character who was born in a volt your father has mysteriously disappeared. So you're searching for him out in the wasteland and leads you on an adventure through the post apocalyptic, Washington DC area. Area that game came out in October two thousand eight it was another big success despite having some pretty weird bugs alone of Bethesda software games lunch with some odd bugs in them. They're numerous videos on YouTube of Bethesda software X games in which things are not behaving the way, they should. And that's true for fallout. It's true for skyro- that doesn't mean they're bad games. It just means weird stuff sometimes happens in them for no apparent reason. But then Bethesda had seen that the success of fallout three met there really should be a sequel. However, the in house, developers were already working on the next elder scrolls game, which would be skyro-. So they didn't have the resources to dedicate to another follow up game. But they wanted to strike while the iron was hot. So but does partnered with another game developer company called obsidian entertainment obsidian? Was founded in two thousand and three by several former black I'll studio employees in other words, people who had come from interplay..

"You know, all the time doing this. So let's fast forward to the innocence naievety or ignorance of FDR. Who's taking? Jars of caviar in cases of vodka from Stalin, the same guy who murdered both of his wives and the great purge. I mean, it's just it's it's incredible. We're there either really naive or a really dumb, right. What where the doctors in on? It though. Do you think because you know? He just minutes before FDR. Reached his head and said, I have this tremendous headache. And then he collapsed. I think it was his valet. He would he would he would give his layout a pitcher of cream and some gruel or oatmeal or something. And then this it's been described as glass of green liquid. I mean is that how they did it in that in that glass of green liquid was it the doctor were they connected to. Talon? I know I love to say, I know everything about this. I have no idea if the doctors are in on it, I do know that in nineteen fifty seven Eleanor Roosevelt. Head was tired of hearing the swirling around Washington DC about the are being murdered. I'm definitely not the first one to come up with us. And she commissioned a private investigator to. The bottom of his death. So I do know that the private investigator hit a dead end all of that the medical records were stolen from a locked file in Bethesda. So one of four people had those keys one of them was a doctor, and it was the same doctor who in nineteen Forty-six wrote the the book being the White House position. And that was Ron Morales McIntyre were they in on the murder. I have absolutely no idea. I I couldn't say I'd have to say that they had good intentions. They were just a little bit. Little ignorant, maybe and and what happened to shoot Mathov, the the Russian painter and her driver and and Schumer tops husband. Well, they just kind of disappeared into obscure at the time or afterwards. Well, immediately afterwards. Well, they packed up the Robbins and shoots off. And they threw Lucy Mercer who he was having an affair was among others in. They tried to get out a warm springs, Georgia as fast as possible. So in her book her being Schumer's off in her book. She describes the plight that they took to to get away from warm springs, Georgia, which I thought was a little crazy because if it was a natural death. Why I don't know. Why would you? I flee the scene right, right? You know? I mean, if it's a natural death. Why Steeler records, you know? There's a parallel here to the FDR or to the JFK thing, actually. JFK shot in Dallas. Daybreak law to bring him to Dallas. The autopsy should have been performed in Dallas. Daybreak law to bring him to Bethesda. Now the law was the same in nineteen sixty three wasn't nineteen forty five. They did the same thing. They broke the law removing FDR's body from Georgia bringing it to the Bethesda. So both, you know, both JFK FDR's body I removed illegally. They're both at Bethesda. We're all kinds of fun things happen. You know, what this Bethesda could talk, you know, and they rush this guy. It's it's a little less than sixty nine hours from FDR's death to him being being buried. They couldn't get this guy's body in the ground fast enough. No, no, by the way. And no one bombing. Mel autopsy, no embalming. It's just easier and crazier and crazier all the way through. So I mean, and there's other things in history to Richard. I mean, take a look at not just this is going to be working on Princess Diana coming up next, but there are other presidents in history..

"It's quick hands on fallout, seventy six gene reported that they're talking to obviously from quake on as well, dedicated servers that will support Mods have been confirmed fall at seventy six and then gamespot reports fault seventy. Six brings back the franchises perk system, but this time the perks will be acquired represented through perk cards. Immediately after this was announced, equate con fans beginning to wonder if they would be able to purchase these cars with real money. But as it has now confirmed that per card packs can only be acquired through gameplay. A tweet from the fallout account explains that perk. Card packs are solely by leveling up which may put some fans minds at ease about the matter. But as Pete Hines, also commented saying to a fan quote, you get them when you have up. There are cosmetic micro transactions falls seventy six, but apparently nothing that affects just making all the right Kohl's lightly. I guess the only thing they've done the Nord people keep saying that steam right for the seventy six. That annoyed people. Yeah, but I. I think you kind of expect it and then the other one that I didn't put in the rope report, and I don't think it made it a questions was this thing. Did you see this a little bit of a brouhaha about a guy selling a used copy into? Yeah, they don't like the us games being sold. Yeah, it's it's kinda got blown out of proportion, right? It was a guy trying to sell an open copy that he already bought. Okay. And and in claiming it was new Kazan because it hasn't been wrapped. Yeah, right. But you can't say that you have to say it's used because you bought it and you're not in office authorized retailer, God at some resell your old gang percent God. But the problem was the headline got kicked around. Into this big things. And so like I, it's a weird legality thing. I think they're really arguing about, but I read through and I was like, I don't know if it really requires a rope reports in general. When you look at these two decisions about today? No, no, Luke crate tight money system and and really pushing Sony hot on cross platform. The impression that Bethesda is one of those companies is on the side of the players. They wanna make the right decision whenever they can. I was talking about it right. Like I think obviously, we know Pete Peterman great to us. He's come through a million times we, he left us, call us. Yeah, five minutes before he goes stage very popular character, all sorts of. But I mean, it's the thing of for me for some reason. Bethesda rarely makes game. I'm super into. I respect everything they do, and I really like, I'm still allowed this. I love fall. Okay. I enjoyed skyer quite a bit. Okay. But like dooms not my Cup of tea. Was back in the day. Wasn't my thing. I totally see these games play them. Understand why people love him, but it's just not what I always quality though. Exactly. But then it's the fact that they come out and I feel the no bullshit company in terms of like pizza on here you asking me question the answer curse during it, they're not pulling punches and doing stuff. I think they're not playing punches doing stuff. You know what I mean? Pulling bunches. Their conferences are really good of, hey, we're making a conference for our fans if you want to not care about this shit, fine..

"Uncared any bethesda move right to to announce games this far they've felt like they had to because they have this online rpg and they want to assure people that they're still making single player rpg's also and not just another pg also characteristic then i wrote this on twitter but it's worth pointing out is that they spent all of december at the game awards being like saved player one with that smarmy campaign and then of course there press conference has three different single player franchises that are all multi player now wolfenstein pray and fallout okay and can be played in single player and is a co op game prey is like adding a totally random i'm not ready to say like totally just sold that out and gone multiplayer yet they as as hold on hold on i'm not saying that pre is now multiplayer isn't that what happened i'm not saying that they're like suddenly milton player like an ea or activision or whatever what i'm saying is that it's just the most hypocritical thing in the world to be like look at us we're save player one even though everyone's doing their multiple games were i think there's probably more hypocritical things in the world than doing that but that's just like it's just shitty it's just like a thing worth calling out so you excited for star field and elder skull six whenever they come out you know what i'm excited for actually about them so i'm excited to know that they're happening this is something you said on our last e3 podcasts that you appreciate about ea that they're willing to just be like there's response making store whereas game and now we know that's happening and as cd project red demonstrated with cyberpunk you can know that game is being in production for years i mean people will be anxiously awaiting but when you hear about people still get really excited about it it doesn't hurt to tell.
