Plant Parenthood Is More Than A Trend

"If you're instagram be looks anything like mine for months you've probably been seeing tons of beautiful assists in their homes surrounded by lots and lots of Lushes, green plants. It seems like many of us have found solace in plants and other connections to nature in the past couple of months. So we wanted to dig into which driving this for us. In this episode, we're sharing to perspective on growing field of psychology called nature therapy are ego therapy. First of is my conversation with death collier. Beth is in private practice as a nature allies psychotherapist and writes on nature health and race. She specializes in working with relational trauma in our connections with people and Nature Bethany discuss what ego therapy is why. So many of us have turned to plants the psychological benefits of being connected to nature. And steps, we can take a repair our relationships in nature. Here's our conversation. Thank you so much for joining us today. Thanks so much for inviting me, it's really great to be able to join you here from London I'm sat in a woodland fail I mean the city at the moment. Yeah. So of course, the listeners can't see you but you were you have a very picturesque as beg rows. So I'm at peace just looking at your background out there in the woodland. We all lucky. Old People See London is one of the world's major cities still still got a huge amount of green space where we're lucky to have lots of parks but also woodland's to very close and accessible. So I'm happy you're able to join us because I'm not sure how active you are on social media but definitely, since March you know since the pandemic really hit I've just been observing lots and lots of pictures of plants all across the social media feeds seems like lots of people have been getting into buying house plans for their homes planting gardens just really doing a lot with greenery, and so I like to hear from you your thoughts about why that's happening like why do you feel like people are turning things like plants and gardening right now? Nature has this wonderful capacity to sue the since the help us fill grounded I think a lot of us have turned to nature. Help US get through some very stressful anxious times during the coronavirus period and and lockdown in particular for many of us have had policies where we've had to stay indoors most of the time and we can't go out and accessible usual green spaces than bringing nature indoors as being the next best thing. So I think people have been turning to nature for release. It's been a wonderful focus having plans to tend to and care for, but also feel the benefits of being around plants which uplift us that. Make us feel calm. Yeah, and I know a lot of your work is in nature therapy. So can you tell me more about what that is and how you became so passionate about their practice? Yes. So I grew up in the countryside in UK which for a person of color is quite unusual. Any two percents of people of African. Descent live in the countryside. UK and so my childhood's spent roaming the fields playing outdoors learning about nature and how I could meaningfully interact with it. For example, the more knew about edible plants, the less I had to go home to to get something two weeks. So nature became a very meaningful relationship for me. and. When I moved into the city, I realized that not everybody saw nature as normal that had been a real disconnection. Where I opened my door and I was surrounded by nature for a lot of people they have to make an effort to go out and find the natural world. Not Everybody has the kind of connections which makes it possible whether it's they don't have parents that take them or they find that green spaces aren't accessible in the areas that they live. Semi journey into nature was through seeing how for many people there was a distance between them and the natural world and I'd be working with a young boy. who was at risk of falling into trouble with gangs and we were working traditionally indoors in a room and nothing seemed age appropriate for him the toys. Too. Young. He was someone that presented with a lot of provider even though here's about ten eleven, but it wasn't ready for face to face I contact and it made me think back to my days as a child and having natural spaces and being up to Rome and how that let south a lot of energy and how allows us to process things that we're feeling and I wondered what it would be like if I took our work outside, it didn't actually happen with that child but. It did with others in the similar situation and from there I started to all my adult clients, the opportunity at work outdoors to and the transformation was sort of self evident that when we change our environments and we're able to express ourselves differently and we realized that much of the things we're experiencing our to do with the extended violent, wherein not just our own internal

"Hey, guys welcome to the black GRONER's podcast. I'm your host lying and as you probably guessed. Unless? You've been hiding from it. We're still in the Kobe nineteen. We're still hanging out in the pandemic. Times out of ten, you're probably trying to figure out what you're going to watch on the streaming service. You know what movies are out right now and at the same time things are being canceled and push bag. But every once in a while, you can find like a little project, a little indie project this last through that, you can check out the me wouldn't have got the tension in the past and the past Hollywood because reinventing these days. It's all. Got Me thinking I'm like well Andy Andy Projects `Dinu thing now for Hollywood can be a new formula for how Hollywood Cannes film because they're used to the smaller budgets and used to make things work. But you have to take my word for it I. Do have an expert with me today. My guest today is Indie director Trey Haley and he's has had quite the influence on bt plus if you see where I'm going with that. He also has a series, the family business, always a bridesmaid which features the visa which you guys know by the way is going to be bad woman. So I, had the in my head to point that out straight and his his my favorite project of his at ease erected is called note to self. It's like a really cute romance movie like I don't know if you guys are check this out as Christian keyes Letroy. Lucky I just it's. So it's so I love I didn't know I didn't know you directed this trey and I decided to get shot because that's one of my favorites. Thank you. Thank you. You're welcome. Go ahead I'll. I'll let you take talking to know enough I just want to keep you up here. Appreciates you. Thank you for having me on and. Yet notice we shut that several years ago on actually Christian actually wrote that moving Christian keys actually real. Wow. Okay. So that was cool. When you know like you said, Eva was evil Pickford and I mean, that was a really fun movie to do that was Yeah. It looked like a lot of fun like I was always wanted like so you never know I guess and I'll get we'll. Get hopefully we can get a little secrets from you and and how you've got an industry but you never know when you're going to get another one of those projects but to me it was so cute I would have wanted a second one but you never know what's going on you know with that kind of stuff and you know that world and Hollywood and everything right? Right? No No, you know That wind just it was just that one note to self. Really what? Part to ever really created for it but right right Sometimes, we get the part to sometimes it's just like you know it's like even always a bridesmaid people keep asking. Is there going to be a part of this? You know no Yvette Nicole Brown wrote that movie and that. She's now. Made her thing we we should make our to we'll let you know what would Yeah Right. But yeah. So yeah, that's cool. But yeah. So you have a lot of a lot of products going, which is really dope because you kind of like I think it's really cool. your career by the way when I was researching because you, you're kind of you're kind of under the radar but not necessarily like your hat and stuff. It's just Hollywood had this weird way of like surveys out there as we know yeah, yeah. It's it's one of those things I think as we continue to go. Yeah we like let the work speak for itself. You know a lot right now what we do, they see what we do. We also consider ourselves in indy studio in meaning like we you know from locations to our resources out here in Los Angeles to the relationships we have with distributors in allowing ourselves to be positioned to where we still have ownership within our property that we create and collaborate with networks or distributors where we both owned The property together you know like. Fifty or or licensing deals where we bring in the capital two so that we have some crew you know more creative. Input into what we're making so that we'd contrite or read about the Dome of these projects is well. And do you feel guess going on what I was off the top? Do you feel because I feel in my opinion any projects could kind of give a rollback or or blueprint for how they could go about filming. 'cause I know everybody's been question is how are they going to finish a lot of these TV shows? You know how they're gonNA finish she's movies because you guys correct me if I wrong with you guys deal with on a daily basis. Okay. Budgets. How am I going to get this done with this little better? You know these amount of actors yeah. Yeah Yeah we look like we we always say we. We do our best to quality you know every new project, we just make sure we're growing and building and building level. We can make sure that are actors are excited about working but the big thing for us is given people rolls that they don't often get. As one of our things, you know when we cast, we look for opportunities to give people unique. Like we say, Hey, will you know what this person may be interested in his role because they've never done this before you know right earl instead of looking at somebody and say they will never do it. They may actually do it because they've never done it before it's kind of like the Halle Berry scenario with monster's ball right nobody. Yeah. That role because she was at the time is far will you know obviously, they didn't even consider her it first for this, but then our passion to play something. So different. Placed her into this situation. So it's a of actors here that are just always been putting by. So doing the same thing, you see them doing those same. Sometimes, they always win the same role. What's not good that they just want to do the same role that's what they're being presented to him. A lot of times will right take you flip it say, Hey, I know you do that. That's your bread and butter, but here's a scenario. May We pay half of what you get. But right right. But it now is going to show you the value. Is it for you something different so now you can walk away from this people can say, wow, I never see this person like that before which explain exactly. So it's about also giving people adding value that's what our world collaborative company we love like whether it's behind the scenes in front of scenes we're always in collaboration and making sure we have a win win scenario with everybody we work with but then when this covert scenario as you were saying. It's also about. You know we're we're about to go back into filming at the end of the month and.

Private schools in Chicago suburb of Naperville, see spike in interest from parents wanting in-person classes for their children

"Naperville and Indian Prairie School district's announced back to school plans that involve remote learning many private schools using in person instruction are gaining interest. At least one Naperville private school says this time of year is typically busy with parents weighing their options. But others say they have seen a spike in interest for in person instruction this fall. As many public schools move online that goes for Naperville Christian Academy and Bethany Lutheran Principal Aaron Done well says that goes for them as well. Absolutely. We have seen a huge increase, especially in the grades of kindergarten first and second grade. Done well says around 100 enquiries have been made and that the parents especially want the socialization class time offers and the one on one time with teachers. The principal says she allowed feedback from teachers on remaining open and that all were on board. They find it very valuable for education to happen in person. She adds that all classes will be available online and that in person instruction would cease only if a cove in 19 outbreak were to occur. Interview With Sam Querrey And Eric Hutchinson

"Jon Wertheim here, and it's this week's. Illustrated Tennis podcast, we have two guests this week, a bonus guest in mainstream tennis player guest I. Am Query joins us. He is at the Greenbrier in West Virginia where he was laying world team tennis, and then as he will explain, is ready to embark on a full season starting in August, and we talked to him about what it's been like in the tennis bubble what his plans are for the rest of the season and sort of what the impact of this crazy and cratered year has been on a on a player of his status, his age. then. We have Eric Hutchinson. He's been on the show before Eric is a friend of big. Band of tennis and we talk a bit about what it's like to be a solo performer solar artists in the time of Cova probably not dissimilar to being a singles player. Eric has a new album class of one, thousand, nine, hundred, Eighty, eight. So we talk a bit about the process a bit about this sort of enforced break that we are all on. What the overlaps between music and tennis. All right now and some tennis chatter with a big tennis fan. So Sam Corey versed Haircut Simpson's second. Let's start in. West. Virginia. You're. In the bubble. I am. Tennis bubble. Let's let's start the president as a been. IT'S BEEN AWESOME You know for me I hadn't told a match in. Australian Open because my wife had a baby in February also I mean it's been five months. So I was excited to go I think all the players here are are really loving it and it's fine and we're finally back plans some competition and it's been great i. mean the I've never I don't know if you've ever been here. I. Know I haven't most you'll have in, but the resort is awesome So it is a bubble but at the same time you can there's golf fishing a bunch of restaurants you can go. You know skeet shooting eighteen. So you're you don't feel like you're just you're playing tennis and going back to your room. There's so much to do outside tennis, which is really made it fun for everyone because we are here for for three full weeks. And it's great to be back in absolute competition and. Going to court I mean it's going great so far. Some sounds like summer camp widsom competitive tennis thrown in. That's exactly what it feels like especially 'cause you're you're in the mountains that it's got a very, very much camp field. We're we're only doing this audio. I have to say you're your backdrop is tremendous. It looks like I mean you can kind of see like. Beautiful. No it's. It's this part of the I've never been here like I said it's I mean we went ATV and a few days ago, and you go up in the mountains in the views and. I. Spectacular. Doesn't sound like a bad way to spend July. What's been the? What about sort of the training, the nutrition, the hydration everything that comes with competitive playing how have you been able to deal with? With that. I, mean for me personally that's been that's been tough. The last like months to find the motivation for practice knowing or not knowing when we're GONNA. Start. You know you're kind of always like like apprenticed for like, wow not studying for I'll just as the next day and then I do the next day. So you know the last two months I haven't practicing hard but there's there's a practice shape and there's match shape. It's hard to really get back into your match shape until you play match. So. I'm doing the best. I can I've got Christian Cossio who travels with me as like a physio here with me. So we've been in the gym every day and working on my body. So physically actually feel fine because you know the team that I'm on I'm only playing singles every day. So I've literally got a thirty minute sets of five. And that's all the tennis I'm playing. So off days and even some matchdays I'm finding the other guys have updates in in an extra and extra practice and spending time in the gym and trying to make the most of it won't here. What's the level play? Overall? It's been high I. Mean I've played tennis twenty years because of the incentives this year online means finals, winters, It's intense. The teams are into it i. mean every you really feel like everyone's kind of laying it out there and It's made it better. You know I it's fun of the past but these incentives, I, it's it's up the level and there's a few more come on. There's a the teams kind of gathering around over a little bit more. So it's it's been really fun and I hope they continue to do is incentives can. Stays at this level. Yeah. I mean I was GONNA. Say, this is an interesting. You're a world team tennis veteran. This is unlike any other season you've had you just. League can. Use this crazy. This crazy three weeks as a springboard. I hope. So I. Mean Look at Fred Leading Eric Davidson behind it and they love tennis and You know they seem to have the financial backing to help move it forward in a good direction and Like the nave because of what happened, I mean the level and the talent they have this year is like no other year they've had world tanks. See this type of caliber players for a full season. So hopefully I mean I everyone that plays this year know especially those top players are GonNa say oh. My God this has been fun like this has been a great. Few weeks of practice, it's fun to be on a team and hopefully for the years moving forward, they're going to those top players GonNa WanNa do it again. Give, give us your your like top top four players of the season. If you're writing in your MVP, votes would be Gosh I would have to look at kind of like the the win loss record. you know Bethany Matic Santa's up there because she's just it seems like every mixed doubles in every doubles cheese. You know winning most of those. Sets. closers was up there until she got her she was just on fire. So I'm still GONNA put closers in the mix and then. Not so I'M GONNA try to I'm trying to think of a guy that's. been somewhat dominant. I can't tell I. Don't know I would need to look at like. He's been winning losing.

"Loss was formally charged with Bethany murder as well as with six other counts, including arson and tampering with evidence. He admitted to Cardi Killed Bethany, but claimed the shooting was accidental. At three am one morning not long before Mike Lawson's trial, a ringing phone awakened Detective Clin Cart. And the news was not good. and. Alaska State Trooper told the detective that Bob Lawson was found dead. He committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning, and his roommate found him sitting in his truck with the motor, running in an enclosed garage. He left clink hard a note telling him he could not testify against his brother. Bob Lawson suicide devastated the prosecution's case. They could not use any of Lawson's videotaped statements about his brother, calling him to the murder scene, dumping the body or any of the other statements related to the murder, because bop was not alive for the defense counsel to cross examine. The only evidence related to Bob still admissible in the trial was his taped phone call to Mike Imprison. Bethany Stanley attended court every day during Lawson's trial and billy. Linda secretly brought with him. Bethany is remains tucked in her favorite backpack. When they quietly told Glen Cart, what was in the pack? He asked if he could set it beside him at the prosecution's table, so Bethany would have a front seat at Lawson's trial. The prosecution was not allowed to mention Mike Lawson's former conviction for two counts of sexual assault. Without Bob loss and they're not testify. The jury had no way to know if Mike sexually assaulted Bethany and then shot her or the shooting an accident as he claimed. The jury deliberated for four days and finally returned with a verdict of second degree murder. They found Lawson not guilty of kidnapping and arson, but they convicted him. Of some of the lesser charges. Many jurors felt they had Bethany family down with their verdict and then came the next blow. The judge told jurors he would like them to consider one more count being A. In possession of a gun. Up to that moment, the jurors had no idea. My clawson was a felon who had done time for sexual assault. They were not allowed to know about his prior conviction because they had to consider this case based only on the evidence pertaining to it. Now though jurors learned of loss and sorted past, many of them were angry. It took jurors only five minutes to convict Lawson on the charges of felon in possession of a handgun. Six months later at the sentencing hearing the judge sentenced Lawson to ninety nine years in prison, the maximum sentence allowed for second degree murder and the same punishment. He was likely to receive if convicted of first degree murder. The judge said he believed the jury should have convicted Mike Lawson of first degree murder, and he wanted to impose a sentence to fit Lawson's crime. Mike Lawson had a previous conviction for sexual assault and had been accused several times of assaulting women. He was a violent predator. WHO belonged behind bars? Residents of Talk Heat Nna words happy to see Mike. Lawson receive a stiff sentence. But conviction and incarceration. Do Not Bring Bethany back to.

"Bob said he was in shock, and while he knew his brother hated women, he could not believe he would shoot and kill the Shung woman. Bob Helped Mike Role Bethany in plastic and put her in Mike's SUV. Bob Patched the apartment wall and tried to clean up the crime scene. Mike wanted to drive Bethany is body. Three hundred sixty nine miles north to fairbanks and dumper travel pit owned by a friend. But as they drove north Bob begun to worry, they would have a flat tire or get into a wreck at someone would see Bethany body in the back of the SUV. He Convinced Mike to stop near Mile Marker, one twenty nine on the parks, highway and dump Bethany Body in an abandoned gravel pit. Mile Marker. One twenty nine on the parks. Highway is only forty miles from the Carrera's home in Kita. When they got back to Anchorage Mike Lawson decided they needed to burn the duplex where he'd murdered Bethany to. Any remaining trace evidence from the crime. Bob Lit a fire at the duplex, but it must have gone out because the duplex wasn't seen ablaze until the following morning. Klinkert believed Mike returned to the scene and when he saw the building hadn't burned, he lit another fire. Clink heart met was Linda. Billy and Bethany younger sister have law and told them he knew Bethany was dead. He asked them not to tell anyone else. This news because the investigation was still open and he had not yet found beverly's body. Even though they wanted the detective to give them more information and tell them how he knew she was dead, they had come to trust clink heart, and they knew he would not tell. Bethany was dead unless he was confident a fact. Bob Lawson. Let Clint. Cart and other detectives to the gravel pit where he said they dumped Bethany Body. But by the time Bob confessed it was February and six feet of snow covered the ground. The recovery of Bethany S- body would have to wait until the snow melted. Cling Cart knew they were building a case against Mike Lawson, but he needed more evidence on Mike before the district attorney could charge lawson with Bethany as murder since the police found no physical evidence tying loss into the crime, clink art felt he needed Bob Lawson's help to get Mike to Confess. Bob was reluctant to do anything else further to incriminate his brother, but clay-court convinced Bob if he didn't say something to land the blame on Mike than his brother would claim, Bob was the one who killed. Bethany, Bob Thought, about Glen Carts. And knew they were true. He finally agreed to help, but talk link art. It was the hardest decision he ever made. Clink heart arranged to call between. Bob and Mike Bob was police headquarters and Mike was still in prison. Clink heart recorded the call. Mike was suspicious and guarded in his answers. He made Bob Swear on their mother's grave. The call was not being recorded, and then told Bob the murder was an accident and he was high on cocaine the time he shot Bethany. Bob Ask Mike why Bethany was naked and if he sexually assaulted her. Mike said he did not rape Bethany but removed her clothes, so she wouldn't away. It was enough. Mike admitted to the murder and now he would not be able to pin Bethany death on his brother. Bob Though felt. He betrayed his brother by the lying to him about the recorded call, and his actions weighed heavily on him. May I. Two thousand four was unusually hot, and on May third detective Klinkert and another detective quietly drove to the gravel pit were Bob Lawson said he and his brother dumped Bethany body. At first, they saw nothing. But then they spotted a blue fleece jacket in the woods. And next they saw two shells like those on the Necklace Bethany. Boyfriend gave her three days before she disappeared. They also found bones and clump of hair, but animals have scattered. Most of Bethany remains. Bethany was found a year to the day from when she disappeared her mother felt it was a miracle. She was found close to her home precisely one year after her death..

About two weeks before George Floyd was murdered. And so obviously we don't get into his death and and the past two weeks. threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former 'Doctor Strange 2' Loses Director Scott Derrickson

"The director of Doctor Strange Josh will no longer be directing doctor. Strange in the multi verse of Madness. Ben What is going on here. Yeah so Scott Erickson who directed the first doctor strange film and and as of yes or all the way up until yesterday was attached and announced in all of that stuff to be directing the doctor strange sequel. He announced on twitter marble and I have mutually agreed agreed to part ways on doctor strange in the multi of madness due to creative differences. I am thankful for our collaboration and will remain on as EP. So that's that's executive producer. That's kind of an interesting thing. In and of itself took a lot of times when people have creative differences they just like split entirely. I'm wondering if it has something to do with. Maybe like a store like just a the development process in like how much work was put into the movie if marvel sort of like throwing him a bone for the work that he did their contractual to like. He's going to get money on this and it was probably part of this deal with the first one. If they made a sequel that he would remain main honest producer. Right Right James Gone. I think was going to be producer on guardians. Three after he was fired right which brings us to the question. How many marvel directors have been have like they weren't he wasn't fired they have split the both agreed flint? Right right. Yeah it's pretty rare for marvel studios goes to part ways with directors like this like. I think it's only happened twice so far with thor. The dark world where Patty Jenkins was originally announced. And then Alan Taylor ended up coming on directing that movie. And then the original ant man which Edgar Right was famously on board to make for years and years and then ended up stepping away. Sort of at the last minute and taking ended ended up coming in and he's become director for for all three of those franchise entries the third one is is upcoming but This is one of those turned out. Good one of those turned out bad What does this mean for? Why do you think Scott Dirksen left this? Because there's there's a couple theories he's going around the Internet. There's obviously when this was first announced. There was at a Scott. COMECON this year I think Derek San Rafael our fight. He was talking about how this is going to be kind of horror film of sorts. Yeah they said it was basically going to be like the first scary movie and the MC you and there've been a couple of stories about that where I think have himself has been talking about how Dr Strange supposed to have you know horror elements but not like full on horror movie. I it's never been like. The new mutants was originally sort of pitched as like a horror movie in the X.. Men World it's never been as explicit that I think he has his call. Hollowed out like You know the ending of Raiders Lost Ark and like things like Made some of the Amblin productions like that level of Scary stuff within a larger adventure story. So yeah I guess one of those theories you're talking about is that maybe Scott Erickson. WHO's more of a whore guy himself? He's directed the exorcism of Emily. Rosen sinister and movies like that Maybe he wanted to push the horror a little bit more than marble was interested in pushing it and that could be where those creative differences lie. Do you have another theory. Peter I have one. What will the other thing is that? That's interesting about the theory is fight. He's done some interviews recently where quick you mentioned he's kind of walked back the the the horror angle of that even though they lead with that at at COMECON so that's what why people are leading to that but the other theory is that this film film is going to tie into the Disney plus Empty you universe. was that what you were going to mention. It was yeah because like this sequel is really being positioned positioned more than any of the other Announced Movies of the MC you as like a very important thing to the future of what marvel is doing because Feigen has talked about. Ah being basically like a creative linchpin he said the multi versus the next step in evolution of the MC. You and doctor strange in the multi. Madison's GonNa crack it open in ways that will have repercussions Russians and he's talking about repercussions for like the movies after it as well as the Disney plus series that you mentioned one division the Elizabeth Olsen Paul all Bethany Disney plus show and low key. The one with Tom Huddleston where he's reprising. His villain role are both going to tie into the movie doctors trained to you in some way. So maybe it's a case of like derricks in just being overwhelmed with the amount of requirements in terms of like this grand designs of the story. I don't want to put that on him. That's completely speculation. He'd be totally fine with that. I'm just sort of looking at it from the outside in with our limited perspective. Respective here just thinking about potential obstacles that he could or that that marvel could encounter here. That could be something like that but I guess Swab to wait and see if if any more official information ever comes out about why they ended up parting ways in this capacity

California Cities Turn To Hired Hooves To Help Prevent Massive Wildfires

"Are a part of nature. If you have fuel meaning lots of dry stuff and wildland it will eventually burn. People can keep fires from spreading so quickly by removing some of that fuel in advance. You can try a controlled burn. Hired hands can clear it or hired hooves can eat it. That's a bit of Megan. Monagas exclusive interview with firefighting fighting goats. It's lunchtime at deer. Canyon Park in Anaheim California pokey peggy and the rest of the roughly four hundred goods on the Parker hungry. The city hire these good as part of this wildfire prevention efforts to Canada's long and hilly with a few walking paths in the middle of a residential neighborhood this whole embankment meant going up to the homes. This is the kind of departure fee that they go excel in. That's Johnny Gonzales. He hires his good different cities. Businesses and homeowners associations associations across southern California. These goats have been at this park for about five months clearing out invasive plants and brush that poses challenges during these wildfire. That's and when we can go ahead and reduce the fuel loads and take out the invasive plants and established a native plants on these banks view reestablishing the ecology city recently upped. Its contract with Gonzales to have the guts working nearly year round. He's getting so many requests from other potential clients not can't take on all of them. One California town even had a gofundme campaign to support bringing in goods for Wildfire Abatement Anaheim's aspira Marshall Allen Hogue. Doesn't that go part of their fire. Management plans because they have a particularly useful skill where the goats grazed all that off and see the steepness of it. And that's why we use the GO-TO be almost impossible for a human to sit there and walk up and down with a weed wacker a weed eater goats are really good at eating stuff right. That's Bethany Bradley. She teaches environmental conservation at the University of Massachusetts. Amherst the challenge with them. Though is that it. You can't just do it once. They need to go back time and time again in order to keep controlling that biomass. She's the CO author of a study that recently came out on invasive grasses and plants Bradley and the other researchers found that invasive grasses double or triple the likelihood of a fire rang if they're present in short they're very very flammable and they're masters of moving and spreading into places where they don't belong and then a lot of cases like they're already there and the is environments that are going to become better here for them with climate change so they've got like a huge like up on on native plants using goats alone isn't enough though wildfire numbers can be balloon overgrazed areas onto houses and buildings the city of Anaheim says the goats are a key part of their fire prevention plans. But there's just one piece of the puzzle that also includes he sensing satellite images and wildfire detection cameras Johnny Gonzalez who hires out. His goat says that they're not just a tool but something more one of the best comments of our God ought instead. I didn't realize how peaceful it would be the goats here and that's very rewarding in my job where a lot of public perception actually stopped. Stop the use of goats in the early stages and now that the public perception has been opened up and they see the benefits. That's been my greatest reward that the public has had a chance to interact with them. He says the community looks to the goats and asks when they'll be coming back for N._P._R.. News I'm Megan. Austria's Kurz, Greens agree on new coalition government

"The new year and a new government in Austria after months of negotiations the center right party led by chancellor suggesting cuts the secured a coalition agreement with the greens are affecting the mind of pauses resurgence of the polls the unlikely alliance brings the greens into government for the first time Mr kat signal ridge the need for compromise physically Gilles Simon and so it is possible to reduce the tax burden and at the same time bring in ecological principles and it is possible to protect the climate and the borders the more I spoke to a Vienna correspondence Bethany bell who says this is a big win for the greens in the last parliament they didn't even make it into parliament to told they did much better in the last election but it also is quite significant in it mocks the swing to the left is the best feeling Kutz because you may remember his loss coalition was with the far right Freedom policy says it's quite a big change for him his policy may see this as a way of trying to soften his image off to that coalition with the far right because the far right Freedom Party was attracting an enormous level of support in Austria does this reflect the change in the country well the Los government fellow pops in may because of the corruption scandal involving the former head of the far right Hines Christian stuff because of that support for the Freedom Party fell quite considerably and they didn't do that well in the last election so presumably some compromises will be needed to make government work what's that going to mean in terms of policy the big issue I think that's a loss of analysts say will be difficult for the two policies is the question of immigration that was something he shed a lot in common with the far right he wants you to stop immigration of protects Austria's board is the left wing greens a fall more proof Mike Renfro refugee and it will I think that will be quite to love Shiv and they really and many of the supporters of the green opposes what Mr could stayed with immigration at that they saw that the house is a tradeoff between you know trying to get that green policies implemented and to sort of try and actually shape policy instead of being in a position so it might not be the trade the greens become more restrictive on immigration in return for their ambition of foster becoming a leading nation fighting climate change vas is certainly what they hope we don't know what details have been exactly agreed when it comes to the green policies we had from the leader of the green saying that they'd agreed mole on climate change and they could have imagined beforehand and that he wants all street to become an international leader on climate change issues we we will get more detail on that to in the coming days via correspondence

"Early access to each weekly episode released to the public You can sign up by clicking the link in our bio on instagram. That's at hilarious humanitarian. pod We really really appreciate that okay. Let's get into so excited. Yes me too so I actually Bethany Tony. I'm at Bethany Evans. I I put on a retreat. Mystical Moon Carnival Two weeks ago and I needed a Toronto reader and then I started being like this. Anyone and I'm pretty deep in this intuitive mystical world and I know one new AOTEAROA reader. So what did I do. I went on Yelp really like I was curious how you found me a new. I got down to two people roll on Yelp. I didn't even know that. That's cool. Yelp that's me through instagram. And then I went to Chrissy found you on instagram. I would not yelp I found so maybe she found instagram. Is this the best with details at all. That's fine I just because I I think I was like. Oh great so and it was down to you in this other woman a Nicer K.. Christie who do you think. And she goes the Bethany Lady. She doesn't look psycho like good. God j. d. m. Jew and then it looks like you know sometimes you have to trust wrestles intuition. Yeah that's kind of what my business is built on like. Yes yes so you actually. We met before you came the retreat. You read me and I was just like like your perfect for me being the mystical world but also being grounded in the physical world of like bills taxes. Get Shit done. Yeah is is important because those are my clients that are like looking for like everyday people you know practice. Yeah and so you came to the retreat retreat and let me just tell everyone she killed at Bethany Bethany audited and I was like they're like and new to the point where sometimes sooner than a collective orgasm it did. It was super power and Power House. The women that came to my treat are like Mary. They've done I know my mom's from such as all nervous when she came because I was like Oh is she can take directions and she was like I will do whatever you say. Good are you mom. And she was like I know. I'm all the super cute. She's Jesus everybody that comes to your retreats are professionals yet there they get shit done because it costs money. Yeah you're paying for it. Yeah and they laughed and and and what was really validating to be a little narcissistic right now was I was like they're looked at me like three. The client said yet Bethany said the same thing you said and it was really good. 'cause they needed to hear something to how they're inquiring. Why are? Why am I stuck in this area? Suckley and you and I- lined up the same thing and they I think they thought it was other things So I one I feel like you're straight shooter so being a Toronto Reader and during his house in a moment what other things you do but I think you're a straight shooter you say it in the kindest of ways and I think that you're able to interpret because when people because they didn't have like ours with you they have the very short fifteen minutes with you so you have to be quick and make sense and you totally did so after that experience was like Okay Diana. We need to have her on because she does tomorrow. And so today you're going to actually REBA Bethany A- and I am for the listeners. You'RE GONNA General Energy not reading. I'm so excited. So tell us how the hell did you land because your career track your career. History is not in the the industry of Toronto and intuitive so share with us. Yeah Well I my background's in early childhood education so I have my bachelors and my masters in that I've I've been doing that for over. Eleven years was a preschool teacher and then moved up into the that management field. And and then I have my son and Dan so he's five and after that I decided to quit my job my very good paying job and stay home with him because that was more important and so when you become mothers you you both know it's like you you realize what's most important and he was so that's what I did and So then I started nannying and taking care of other children while also taking taking care of him and I was just. I had a lot of time then to not think about other things and I kind of was like questioning myself questioning my life. What am I doing you know? Oh my providing the best for me and my family And that eventually led to me. Realizing I wasn't happy in my relationship I was married at the time and it was really confusing confusing and I. It was the first time I'd ever questioned. Like what do I need what you know. Why do I feel this way like my life is great? I'm educated. I have a husband and a child. You know a place to live. Why am I not happy? And so the short answer how. I came across Tarot is through Youtube. I. I was randomly like I found someone who had a blog and it was all about love and relationships and I was kind of confused about why I was having feelings for like other people. And that's how I came across her blog and she was also a Tarot card reader and she had youtube videos where she did general readings and I it just became fascinated by it. I was like what the hell is this like. A general reading is for anybody WHO's watching it. Yeah be applied to their life. Okay and if you and your and they always say they like it may not apply to you. It's not gonNA apply to everybody but it's going to apply to a majority or a large group of the masses in if you're in connected to that energy energy you know there was a reason. I was drawn to that person. Because she was picking up on energy that I was experiencing and So you'll know if it resonated with you it resonates with you. That's what it because I started watching all kinds of different readers on youtube. And that's what they would always say you'll know if it resonates with you and that what that means you'll feel deep within you if it rings true for you you know like something. You can't really explain other than just that feels right but she was picking picking up on scenarios that were Coming up in my life. And that's why I was like this is so weird like this lady like you know. She's spying on me. Yeah she lived in North Carolina. Or you know so. Yeah so I just. That's how it started and it was just a fascination at first and I was learning because she would explain like you'll see when I do it. I explained what the cards mean gene. Because they all have their own specific meaning. And there's so much that goes into it like numerology and symbolism and different elements and so I just watched watched for like six months I think just looking at different readers seeing who I liked and their style and eventually one day was going to get my own deck. It was just like super excited about it. Felt like a kid with a new toy and so I got my own deck. I started just doing readings for myself but what I realized was that I was it was tapping into my my intuition and it was really just a way for me to to pick up on. Energies weren't couldn't really make sense of before. So that's really what terroists for me is picking up on our subconscious energy and The things that are underlying what we may think is actually happening. It's it's not like the surface level experience it. There's always something deeper and that's what I feel like Tarot allows us to do And yeah so I started doing readings for myself Eventually it was just something for fun. I didn't really think I was GONNA do anything out of it Make a career out of it but Excuse me I I started connecting with more like minded people And I realize how much clarity it provided for me and then when I would meet other people who do the same thing or they'd aide read for themselves or it got me even more exciting. I was like Oh maybe I can like actually do something like it gets me really excited. So why can't I do something and make money from not not too sure and I went through an ontological coaching program. Two years ago it was a year long intensive personal transformation and leadership development and coaches training and onto onto onto logical. It's so unfair. Is the study of being a human being. So it's It's life coaching. But it's coming from the perspective of looking out why we do the things that we do as humans and it's in the metaphysical Realm so that too I was drawn to that. I didn't know why I was just like I need to do that. It was a really expensive program and coming from Wolf. I didn't finish my story but I ended up leaving my husband because I realized is that I wasn't happy and I couldn't be myself and that the relationship just didn't align with who I was becoming anymore and he wasn't really we can expect people to change and I I loved him for who he was but I was becoming more. I guess I was stepping more into my feminine energy whereas before I felt like in the relationship it was flip flipflops so like I was more in in the masculine role And I didn't realize that. And and the funny thing is like Tarot is the the gateway that led me into all of these realizations about myself and masculine and feminine and The polarities that exist in relationships and Following my intuition and all that stuff so I don't remember where did I leave off of my. Oh The ontological life coaching program. Yeah so I met a lot of people Through there who were into the same things and it was really validating for me and I threw that program was realizing hey I want to have my own business before that I knew that I did and does okay. We'll be a coach and then I put like but I also have terro and I don't know how to like integrate. The two you know and I was like I also have this background in education education. So I'm not stupid. You know not like and I feel like there's a lot of Will you don't want to go to waste you. Know it's like that I brought this up several times times where I got my masters in social work and I'm licensed in the state of California and that took the thirty two hundred hours post graduate work to to get license and you pass the boards and you're just like how much money time blood sweat tears to get to this place but then also as has I become more exposed in doing this. podcast working with Aaron to like all the healing arts and energy work. I have always envisioned like if I were to ever go back to social worker. Have my private practice. I can't go back one hundred percent. Just clinical yeah like of course it'll be one hundred percent clinical in the sense of like. Yeah somebody's GonNa come and get psychotherapy. But how do I blend different tools. Because there's this article article that just recently came out saying how like in now in this day and age like psychotherapists social workers and psychologists and psychiatrists. Mike are now learning use different tools because the client base is asking for it and I just I think it's awesome but I also also know that the struggle of being like God I don't WanNa lose my credibility right or there's I don't know how your program was but my program program was just Very kind of black and white like your professional. You need to act as such. I would strongly advise you get off so social media not at all. This was also eight years ago when I graduated but I remember like They did like an exit. Not An exit interview but it was exit orientation Omos who is like be very careful. You know like you're going to go out there and there's a lot of liability and Be Mindful of what you put on social media and factors. Don't be on social media at all you know and I'm just like okay so I got a stark. Yeah where's just like. Oh God I must follow the rules. Yeah and so even now Aaron will tell you like even now with like like the way I approached the podcast or my instagram Jazz For the first two or three years no one knew what I looked like that it no my my name Nothing and then as more and more I was like this isn't right like I think that this is what people want is like a social worker. A therapist who also blends humor in like real. Yes you know different elements that make you feel less ingraham naked. Well we'll also intimidated oh to therapists because a lot of people like I don't WanNa feel dumb you know or whatever and so but I still get totally wrapped up in like. Let's be very careful the times I do like you're done it. Ah yes there and I think it's because my husband died. I don't think I would've I would've been it took me. I did your version for about five years because I had private clients on top of being hired by the California today in salt and train and then when my husband died I was like screw this. y'All this is really how how. Ymca and my day job you WANNA. I'm good my day. Job is because I am reading you right now and I look at your astrology sign and look at your name and you're still an asshole asshole because you've been an asshole forever. Yeah it's so true though as I've been exposed to Erin yeah the more I've stepped into or at least getting closer to my comfort zone of being like this is who I am like I.

"I'm sorry while you were sipping. I was chugging I apologize. That's okay. You are forgiven but yeah so Loren and You guys do yet. She is so amazing. You guys play together for the record. Yeah yes a world the premier and like saying that World World Premiere World Premiere. Yeah it sounds so fancy like your which is true like it's world premiere the backstage. You would understand that it does not fancy really really. Put a lot of sugar on this one. So where where did you do this then. The prop theater is where we picked our venue. But we just had I. I mean I really got kind of drawn into this project pretty last minute. I felt like they had already had a really strong foundation. Going with a writer and a group of girls. And we've been talking a lot about finding work. That is really more more close to home. Because that's the where he wanNA do right when you get to Chicago because that type of work will be get the same type of work you know with the same people and so they had these roles they were just perfect for them. Just Oh wow ideal like the writer was in the room you know. And I've I've worked on productions before where for the writer was still in the process of writing it and actually this was a less frenzied version of what I experienced working with a new writer but she had a really complete amazing draft and they walked me. I've got walked into it with basically a full cast except for one roll and we just wanted to do it. We set a schedule to it and we got it done. I don't know how. Oh my God that is to me that is like the definition Chen awesome success. Like it's like you're getting to work on the stuff you want to work on get to see like your friends thrive and not that environment to full houses and so they have incredible reactions. I will say I tried to get tickets. I couldn't and I felt so good about not. It's so cool. 'cause I wow it sold out. I can't see it as two hundred out but yeah I had heard Lauren kind of talking about that. There may maybe future production of it. You know there are a couple of theaters that were interested but they really would want a whole new creative team and I just felt really strongly about keeping these actors. Oh yeah and. I don't know that I would direct either so I don't know I mean it's really. It's really hard it's tender and what is the show about it is about. Aw a group of women as a since. They've known each other since they were young and one of them passes away unexpectedly and so the other three have to co- come back for her funeral but they're currently estranged so they've just grown apart and they are going through this process of grieving twenty-something friend and they've never really navigated this before before they attend the funeral and it's really religious and really far removed from their beautiful friend that they knew and they've thought we're going to throw our weight. We're I'm GonNa do something else that we want to do. And so they cut off her finger and precedent to a record. Oh my God that is amazing end so they have to get this record made and they come together for this week and it just you know goes planned but so they just want to figure out how to how do you memorialize is someone. That didn't live half her life. Yeah and how do you wade through this grief process. And how do you like out her own way to yeah like. That's I advocate friendships. That have changed and people that have changed and it was just really Spoke really to the basement inside of me. Yeah and I had to do it. Even though we're not in a basement right a metaphorical business quotes quotes around it. Oh well I think we're we're about out of time here but 'CAUSE I gotta get up early for work in the morning dialect session tonight and then also doing work. Oh really yeah. Oh Wow. That's a lot while I watch a lead you get Outta here for. We have to take another step to say Yeah Simpler Times. It's really a true. Yeah it is Wesley Thank you for having me. Thank you for coming back to have you back on..

"I let me anyway. Let me back up. Yeah yeah so I have Crohn's wants disease and so it really manifested right after Grad School. So it kind of messed with my physical go self and my mental self enough that I felt like I couldn't promise one hundred percent of myself one hundred percent of the day's Ah feel great on Wednesday and terrible on Friday and that's not really good for a show a rehearsal process or anything like that so I've sort of tried to work theater in my life life in a lot of other ways so I'm not like none of those ways really require auditioning right now you have well. That's great. So are you doing like dialect coaching. Yes the answer is that I missed auditions which is very weird and no one ever at no actors ever GonNa say that too but yeah well I do have a love. Hey relationship with auditioning like when I'm doing that I really like it and I like experimenting and seeing what I can like throw into the room I I learned to love to sucking you know. I've learned to embrace that but the the my problem with it it's like going going twenty on dishes and then having like you know to call backs and then like you book one job at that's actually like a pretty good percentage image. Yeah and it's just so daunting to go through that all the time and I'm just like I'm more productive when I do my own work you know. So it's it's a hard. It's a really difficult thing. Yeah navigate it is. I'll just isn't the most ridiculous job application in the world. Don't you think we're not doing work from the thing we're actually auditioning for. We're not actually looking at a person when we're doing it you know we're not doing we're doing monologues. which almost never happened in shows? Yeah the actual job audition that process of auditioning for this job never actually applicable to what you do in the end. No not at all so it's just I mean it's no surprise that it's really a fun thing to have to do. Yeah and it's so hard to be like I don't know like when you it's like I could either be the person you're looking for not and that's like the only thing that's really happening here. It's not eh but it's so like going back to what you were saying before like it's you have to take it personally. You have to be like. Oh they didn't want me. Yeah and that's me didn't want me and then you have to. You have to kind of warp it in your mind like I don't want them. Yeah in some ways. Yeah and sort of one of my favorite strategies I feel like something clicked for me when I was like nineteen or twenty about there when I was like I can be the answer to their prayers. I'm sure this was motivated by some quote for someone I could. I could be the exact personnel looking for it and wouldn't it be great if I was and then it's so liberating berating. When you're like I wasn't that exact person? Why would I want to try to fit myself into a mold? That sounds really hard like yeah exactly like why. Can't I just be my Salvin if that doesn't fit what you want to be myself one hundred jobs easier like yeah not working and you're not you're not like lying line to them tell you know saying or someone else. I always have trouble when people say like. Oh if you're a good liar. You're a good actor hate the I know. I know it's so frustrating. I'm like no I. It's not that it's if you're a good if you're if you're truthful you're a good actor dirt you know like it's the total opposite. Yeah like I'm a terrible liar. So I because even if you're a good liar that it has to be your truth you know true. Yeah Yeah I feel like the more I tell the truth. The more people want to work with me and keep being excited about bringing to the table. You know yeah and that comes from co workers an audience you know. People are just more excited than it's like. Oh so easy when you think about it that way almost especially like I feel like for a few years I I wasn't at that stage so it's feels like I'm not art like working hard enough but I'm like no I'm just letting myself like exist. Yeah Yeah for sure. I'm not I'm not apologizing for existing anymore. It doesn't that feel good. That sounds so nice right to just not say sorry for existing. Yeah I have one friend in particular I say this to all the time that she has feelings and then she judges her feelings. I'm like that's exhausting. Feel what you're feeling. This is a valid. This is real. Spend time in this and don't criticize it. You know a whole new level of like well and it's like being where you are so important to like right now. I I hear babies crying through my microphone. I know this is my headphones now. No no I don't do you hear that absolutely. Yeah Yeah. There's a daycare happening. I I was like I was like are their babies in here or is this. Does this microphone. Just pick up. Sounds from the other apartment to a But yeah well. I want to backtrack a little bit. Okay because I don't really know about like where you come from. I know you're from Washington state. Yes yes that's right. Yeah specific northwest sifting North West Pacific northwest. I have a very because I've never been there so I have a very like ideallic kind of yeah vision of what the Pacific northwest is. It's beautiful yeah well parts of it but then I always think of like the You know the drug scene of the nineties with like Nirvana and allison chains and Pearl Jam. And all that what did you like what was city. Did you grow up Niagara Decide. which is a really close Idaho Spokane? Dan is right on the border there. Oh we spend a Lotta time over in Quarterlane Idaho side. Oh Great. So it's really weird state because it's politically controlled by Seattle. Yeah which is a very blue area but then the rest of it is very rural so kind of Illinois yes yeah very much like Illinois so very flat farmland and it's just an interesting tension kind of in this day and well. Yeah I mean I grew up. I grew up here. Yeah and I grew up in Springfield so I like I've seen both sides of it. You know there's like everybody in Springfield things like oh it's Chicago elites and like then I'm here I'm like nobody's actually really liked back but yeah it's an interesting dichotomy bouncing act. Yeah but so you grew up in what was the town's name can spokane okay. Saint grew up in a really conservative family and went to church and all of those things. Things Catholic no a very pentecostal church Christian church. Okay Assembly you've got so yeah. It's still religious note uh-huh okay neither am I know I never but that's the thing by parents. It's one of those things or grass is greener but my parents never made me go to church or anything anything so I always grew up kind of being like an agnostic atheist. Yeah and I was like what would it be like going to church as a kid like. It's I feel it. It'd be kind of Nice to have that structure least well. I mean it gave me really intense sense of justice and morality which is really. I feel like a nice back onto have. Yeah but other than that. There's not much to gain from it. Yeah it was a struggle. I just had a really hard time a how fit in and how to be the person my parents wanted and how to the the person that I wanted and it was just a really intense way to grow up. Yeah when you had thoughts and opinions and it just you you know you feel like you feel like you can't even talk about those kinds of things. Did you have siblings as well. Yes brother and younger sister. Yeah Yeah so oh I got the feeling also that I was kind of my mom's best helper so I think that very early on she was like do this. Cook the dust. This you know what I mean gene so that I think I always kind of grew up with that attitude of like I can help people I can. I can make people happy helping you know what I mean. Yeah wow and then a so so did you. You went to Undergrad in Washington in Washington state and it was like hour and a half south of my hometown so far enough away that my parents couldn't like drop in and visit but close enough that I could go home if I want. Yes that's exactly what I did too I would. I would deal state for that exact reason. Yeah and they weren't going to let me go out of state so yeah I loved that that program it was a really unique program and it was run by the director kind of where I feel like it's so different it was different issue but At the school that I went to acting and directing were intrinsic and so all of our classes were together all the time. And so. That's how it wasn't my Community College Tab. Yeah and so but it it was run by the directing side of things and so it was a really interesting program to go through. Oh did it focus on directing more than it did acting. Can you feel you know this guy had really intense style. and He loved mask work owners kind of batch it. When when you talk about clowning and things like that but he just had this really unique sense of how to structure a semester? And what kind of projects you should be turning in. And they're you know how different from writing a paper and you know doing the traditional school work and I don't know it was just really refreshing way to kind of look at theater. The I didn't think that I could do it as a career. Either because I feel like I totally got switched going to this school because I originally wanted to. You teach theater enrolled in the school because they had a program for the attribute station and I got down there and I met with my counselor who was women's Women's studies counselor and I was like. Oh that's weird. I wonder why that is and then it will find the program doesn't have a counselor but she was like honey. This program doesn't exist and I was like. There's there's a sorry what I was like. I am a region scholar. I have a fat scholarship to go to the school. And you're telling me that the thing that I enrolled for doesn't exist. I put put on all my applications I put on you know and I was like what do you mean. She's like. Oh it hasn't this for years and I was like for years but they still kept it on the application or something they even sent me a course catalog. It was printed in the course catalog. The courses were online. There was old. Information Listing Advisors Teachers in this program that had been cut like four years before I got there there so I was really mad but I was also not going to tell my parents that I wanted to switch schools. Because because you're already kind of this. How long is that before? How how long did you figure that out but I want to be like? Hey I thought I was moving now can a move back home exactly. I was like a fine. I'll do something for a semester and I'll figure something else out I'll figure like I had really strong ideas about English anyway and some other things you know so I was like well. I'll do this but no I went straight acting. I couldn't stop it. It's just like a a eight keeps coming to you. You know I always like.

"Yeah I've always thought that why because of what she does well because he says I guess and this is like don't assume don't assume don't when you really because you said came to Bethany where lasers did you ever problem with the Guy Yeah that's me I'm Simon they'll be are you go with him being like Amazon with elaborate in everyone's evening my house let's go that's the person that you're angry House Charlie the bedbugs guy called it was like I'm having dinner at my house I'd be like well I great like I can't I love this leper probably was like hey we're gonNA This is a let's talk about this for saying because this is a move I well I love that it's a nerd nerd I like snored but it's such a weird word because technically it's called Spike Narda cooler actually much better so spike was this very costly oil that had a sweet smell that it was it comes from a plant that grows only in the Himalayan mountains of India and Nepal wow so think about you are in Bethany and you for some reason have you know what I really liked that good aw I like that Lemaire okay and we got it imported from India like that's some serious new testament importation too because I just went to Hawaii where a hamburger is forty eight dollars right now so now go to the New Testament and they have no art oil imported from that's what it's going to be in the word in this Asian has pound it's actually sort of get an idea of how much oil this was a pound is actually the word is Lee Tra which is the Greek word that's translated into Roman pound and then Roman pound is equivalent to you little less than twelve ounces so this is like a doctor pepper fan of Spike Nardin I love it okay that's that's how much spike nerd we're dealing with just I feel like we're underselling. The imports aspired to spy ignored feels like the coolest I like why do we have supreme shirts we have spiked yards I would wear spy can win that in the merge store please that's right and so I like that it she 'cause normally when people came in to dinner at your home you particularly if you had a certain amount of well which I feel like if you're known as Simon the leper you got some cats that's a flex to chill with that name like you can call me Simon the leper would you like a row lack that feels right so when people would come in obviously everybody's feet would be you really dusty so it was a normal thing for people to have their feet washed before you would like eat dinner servants would do that so it wasn't weird that somebody he's going to like clean Jesus feet but it is weird that it's Mary and it is weird that she's doing it with spike and it's doubly weird I don't know where she lived maybe they're in same cul de sac of the same neighborhood but we're talking before like that I didn't realize she had brought this spike Nord with her take the spike everywhere it will barrel the she's rolled around because you don't have like Adt at your house don't Lake so maybe but was Martha mad just like Dang it I carried all these casseroles with and all you brought was that spike because I'd seen in another verse they've reference to that they had a lead you to believe this just this wasn't like the nest egg not to diminish the value but these are wealthy people and I think wealthy people value wealthy things yeah I'm not not so like it didn't matter because she had tons of extensive stuff but I think it draws a clear line to like she was aware of the value of things and she was aware of the value of this gesture right yeah it was like she knew she was going to do this yes and again a good way good way because I read I think Morris commented he said there's three really incredible things happening here the thing you mentioned and normally a slave would be washing feet but mar of the Mary's doing it's extreme because it was so much of this oil was just a little bit which would have been fine I would have been self-consciousness of it was incredible because not only does she do that was expensive not only did she poured out she wiped her hair in it wiped his feet with it and I didn't I didn't so this it wasn't just like her hair was like super greasy messed up for the rest of the night in the Jewish culture you don't let your hair down and public so while this she did that well into making a real impact both locally and globally reliable source commerce and giving back to local causes if you've been following us for any length of time you know just how much we love and affection coffee here at the Bio Bench and they have some awesome news coming about their newest coffees of the season with the fresh harvest coming in for many of non-fiction partners they have an updated African bundle with new Ethiopia Burundi and Kenya coffees featuring tasting notes of Papaya Camomile honeysuckle and blueberry this collection is sure to hit the refined pallets of every coffee lover ever is out there who loves South American coffee new from Columbia the new bundle with Colombia Brazil improve has just arrived and is facilitating of cranberry green apple chocolate and and Vanilla guys we have tried all these and you cannot go wrong but the best part is that either of these bundles are a total win because with nonfiction coffee your coffee matters in every harvest season nonfiction coffee is providing income to families that previously had very little income increasing access to water and upgrading health and.

"I'm looking for Bethany jeans. I see her website. Apparently you can get lip saviors now. I don't know what that is mustache. No Bush Hypo allergenic waxing strip. Did she? That was the her product from shark tank snarky t drink your feelings? Okay. So these are stark tank things I think will that waxing one. She bought into that company when she was on shark tank? Oh, yeah. Accent who's ever thought of that. Goodbye. She's like, you know what? You're what he selling scissors. Okay. What a great idea kept things. It's not telling me where I can buy these jeans. I'm very curious about this whole skinny girl jeans because they're not at Macy's. That's for some reason. I just see them at Macy's, but I feel like they're not existent wilder existent enough for her to be wearing them. Their hideous basically like chains. They're so mad signs. They're still bad. But yeah, there's nowhere to buy them. It's like sonya's product Sonia. Sonja brings some shows some of her shoes to remote a skin-care launch. The shoe soprano do just like my face. So young. Am I gonna ask? I cannot stop staring Bethany Frankel products. I did not know. She had this much stuff. Shareware lunch, meat. Stealing from Heather by the way, skinny girl Turkey, Turkey, coffee and tea. Sweeteners dressing. I'm waiting for.

"She doesn't superstar. I met Bethany before she did the highest wives. So I knew how to New York. She was she was doing a beckoning bake. She was desperate to be famous and rich, and that's not that's not a not putting down. I like her ambition at the time. I was looking for Jessica Simpson, the singer, the reality star. I'm Bethany, came to one of them Jessica's politici-. She wasn't invited, but you came as a plus one and she came on roller skates and she will press line. Nobody knew who she was, but she was destined to be famous that I think Bethany takes this job really seriously. I think she sits at home and thinks about not things to say an interesting things to do. This is a fulltime job, a mutual friend of ass when said to me and I love this, I'll never forget it. They said, Bethany hall the, he's beckoning. It's a twenty four hour seven day a week job. He'd method fried coal. She takes it very seriously and. There has made of the star of the show is not the entire franchise. She she's really good TV. The problem is, is that when you will LeBron's when you the Staller the team, you do get more power. I think it's unrealistic to site that all the latest on the show have equal power and the old treated like an samba cast, you know, some wings on launch the show, and it feels like it's the Bethany Frankel show and full backup singers, fullback dances it. It's the bathroom show. And I think Carol figured I wouldn't Bethany had turned on. She could've survived it hundred power in New York, and she's interested in small. She probably could've survived it books. Next season would have been really rough because it would have all been about Beth in the entire all. And I think those two a fi Bethany is gonna win. Okay. So what's going on with during data do should we worry about her? I don't know if we should I. I've known her Indus for a while. She's a sweet small. Lady what my series and this hasn't come true yet. But my fear is is the people I've met to get on reality shows they change and it's not just reality shows aren't remember the first season of madman on AMC and the cast of really sort of approachable. Dies the cool the most successful you do the lowly spend on TV wherever it over reality get, changed his life changes. Everybody the longer you spend any job, you you, you change. And I, I worry that the fame and all the pucks and all the nice stuff and the great salary that comes along with being on the show a starting to have an impact on to render. I didn't think he would, but I think that now she she anytime to everybody, I'm not blaming him for this is more unusual if he doesn't happen. So I think any shows you wrote a cool light to render is that she's managed to keep the trappings of celebrity and say a base for so long. But unfortunately, this fail certainly seems after about. We saw last night that it started to creep in so don't don't don't raise the alarm bells yet. Don't call nine one one yet who keep an eye on the, I hope to rent. It doesn't get sucked into this is Tinsley the right fit for the show. No, she's Absolute absolutely. wanted. She's dreadfully to love it. I see. I understand what they're doing..
