"You had Patrick Peterson, who was on IR already, and then bershad breland, your other starting quarter goes down in the game and it looked semi severe. I didn't really I should have looked this morning to see how severe it was. But he needed help off the field. Suddenly you're down with three of your best corners. We knew daniil hunter out for the season after the, I believe it was a pack injury in the Dallas game. So now I was unlike you started to think about this or down your top two corners, you're down. You're safety, you're now down to Neil again and suddenly we're having this issue where the Vikings defense is decimated by injury once again for the second year in a row. I thought they played very well. They played tough, Anthony Barr made a massive plan. Man, was that athletic? Where now, unbelievable? Because it's a linebacker, so switch down the defensive end, batted it up as he's getting chopped. He's catching it on the way down. You're getting it in decent field position. I think the 35 or 40 yard line you're saying to yourself, all our offense needs to do is maybe had an explosive pick up 30 yards and maybe we can win this in overtime. But three and out immediately. So it's just a very bizarre offense that's not operating at peak Clint kubiak been gifted this job on his father's name and he's not very good. And so that's partly what we're having here. It'll be interesting to see if this goes completely sideways because I don't think Zimmer's completely out of the woodwork if this were to just spiral downward. He could be very much on the hot seat. And it's wild because a year and a half ago, at least within the gambling community, Zimmer was one of the most respected, and he was covering spreads left right and center. Just hasn't been the case. Although he did get to cash yesterday. That daddy did despite a game day move that actually took it off to 7 and a half at some of the sharper shops out there. And when you look at Zimmer's ATS record, I think it moves to 33 16 and one coming into a game off a straight up loss. We'll see if that manifests itself this weekend. And I know our listeners are sick of us belaboring the point, but they're not may not be a wind total that I've ever bet pain that's gonna be more frustrating win or lose than the Minnesota Vikings knowing how close they've been to winning a lot of these games where it feels all the coin flips have kind of gone against them. So we'll see how things finish out for them. Over the second half of the season. Before we move into lookout lines, wanted to make sure there wasn't anything that we happened to gloss over that you wanted to share as far as observations over the weekend. I decided to subject myself to Texans dolphins. And so that's one that we can address because it was kind of interesting throughout the course of the week the way betters and fantasy guys talked about Tyrod Taylor, you would have thought he was the second coming. Texans were steamed all week from 7 and a half down to soft four. I don't know if there was a three and a half in the market or not but soft for is kind of what I saw. Miami turned it over 5 times. And then Texans still couldn't cover it peak price. That's how bad Tyrod Taylor was. And it wasn't some like tall task. It's a dolphin's defense 26th inefficiency. 26th against the pass. Tyrod was terrible, 6th worst completion percentage compared to expectation. One pass completed beyond ten yards. He wasn't good under pressure. He wasn't good when kept clean. He stunk with play action. 39% success rate for the Texans. Three explosives all game. And so I think this is worth talking about when you have a three and a half point move through the 6 and 7 onto the four, I think we have to throw tire rod in the bad or ugly category. I was surprised that he didn't run the football a little bit more. I know he was returning from a hamstring, but I felt a team so desperate to try and extend plays. And struggling to identify weapons that Tyrod Taylor's legs would have been more of a focal point, knowing that the dolphins defense who plays a lot of man coverage had given up chunky yardage in the past the Josh Allen. So that was one part of the game I was surprised. Didn't play a bigger role for Houston. Maybe the hammy is not quite a 100% yet. Which would explain why you're kicking a field goal down 17 to 6 from the two yard line. Nope, that's just their head. David culley, everyone's friend of analytics, my friend. That's it. Exactly. I just don't get it. You know, I think we talked about this a couple weeks back or like this organization so inept right now in the head coach is. Beyond help. The rebuild there, let's figure out what we have in Davis mills. I understand it hasn't looked good, but there's no talent around him. Why don't we get this guy some reps? Why don't we attempt to have better draft picks? 32 year old Tyrod Taylor, I'm sure he's obviously an upgrade as we know in the market indicated. But what are we getting out of that? Especially if this is the performance. I understand this was his basement level performance, and it's only going to get better from here. It was first came back and since week two, so there's going to be a little rust. But if we're going to lose games anyways, why not get Davis mills more reps? Why not get a better draft position? It doesn't make any sense..

"He is going to eclipse his fantasy. Totals from last year. So let's get into the wide receivers for the bears. So i up. You got allen robinson. Alan robinson last year productive season. One hundred two receptions on one hundred fifty one targets twelve hundred fifty receiving yards and six touchdowns which led to a two hundred eleven point nine total fantasy points last year and i definitely do think that you know if he stays healthy and continues to be the consistent wide receiver that he is. He's going to have another good season. And you know. I think it's going to be a little bit frustrating in the beginning because you are gonna have some you know switch at the quarterback position at some point but i think he could still do well. With andy dalton. I think he will do well with whoever ends up. Starting for this team Later on in the season. But i think it's gonna be a little bit frustrating for some fantasy managers if the production is in what it has to be when it comes to him. If andy john is not playing well so i do think that him now Him and justin fields can definitely work. It's just in the early stages of the season. It's going to be andy dalton. And like i said i think between weeks three and four. I think that's when we'll expect justin fields to take the field. I said field twice but whatever Justin feels to take the field. Yeah so two hundred eleven point nine fantasy points. I mean this one's a tough one. I'm going to say that he is. I think he's going to be around that maybe a little bit below. I'm gonna say that. Because i do think that darnell mooney is gonna take a big step forward. And i think he's going to be more of an impact player this season. And i think that will take away. Some of the targets and receptions away from alan robinson's to say he's going to be slightly below that i think he will have another good season. And i think the touchdown totals from last year. I think that'll be around the same as well. So that's my thoughts on alan robinson. So let's get into some of the other receivers on this team. So let's go to darnell mooney so last year darnold mooney. Sixty one receptions ninety eight targets six hundred thirty one receiving yards and four touchdowns which led to him having a hundred twenty one point six fantasy points and right now he's dealing with a back issue practicing limited capacity on thursday. So yeah you still kinda questionable for week one. But i do think that he will eclipse fantasy. Totals from last year. I think he's going to be more of an impact player in this offense. And i definitely think that once justin fields takes the field saying fields twice again I think that they are going to develop a nice connection. And i think that mooney is going to become more of an impact player in this offense and i think he'll get over four touchdowns not by a lot. I think maybe you'll get like five or six somewhere around there and yeah he's going to be the number two wide receiver for the bears and now the anthony miller is gone. This opens up more opportunities for him in that regard as well so then moving onto another receiver on this team. You got shot. Perriman last year thirty receptions sixty targets five hundred five yards three touchdowns that which led to an eighty four point one fantasy total performance for last year. I mean i think he probably gets around those numbers again because again. He's probably going to be the number three wide receiver. Now obvious even injury does happen. He'll he'll play more of a role on this team. But i think between allen robinson mooney you got to rico and coming back running the football david. Montgomery you expect the tight end to take a big step forward like whole combat. I think he's going to be around his fantasy totals from a year ago. So that's what i have to say for bershad perriman. Then you also have markey's good went on. The team did not play last year so if he does play he'll be over his fantasy total so never mind with him. So let's go to the tight ends now. So you got coal combat last year forty eight fantasy points. Twenty eight receptions forty four targets two hundred forty three receiving yards two touchdowns i definitely think he will eclipse his fantasy. Totals as a young tight end that i think could be poised to have somewhat of a breakout season for the bears. Obviously jimmy graham is still there. I thought jimmy. Grandma's gonna retire after the playoff game last year against the saints. When he scored the touchdown had that one handed grab and then just walked immediately into the locker room afterwards. But he's still on the team. So i think that does affect coke a little bit and he returned to practice wednesday. He had hamstring injury. But i guess that's not too concerning. I think he is going to eclipses. Fancy told us from last year he's gonna play more prominent role in the offense as well. So then let's talk about jimmy. Graham last year. Jimmy graham had one hundred eighteen point. Six fantasy points fifty receptions seventy six targets four hundred fifty six yards and eight touchdowns. I think he's going to be below his fantasy totals from a year ago. I believe that. I feel like coal. Combat is gonna kind of take over and take away those targets away from jimmy graham. I think he's going to play a more prominent role on the bears. So i think jimmy graham though he will still be used in the red zone decent amount and i think that's what will make him. You know somewhat of a decent fantasy option. If you know if you're struggling to find a tight end. I do believe that. Coal combat is going to take targets away from him. Be the number one tight end. Jimmy grams production is going to go down as opposed to what it was a year ago. So i'm gonna say he's going to be lower than his fantasy totals from ago so now. Let's get into the bears. Defensive bears defense had eighty two fantasy points from a year ago. Three hundred fifty eight points allowed. Ten interceptions eight fumble recoveries in two touchdowns. I mean it's kinda hard to predict you know with that those kind of numbers. I mean when you look at like we talked about the lions on one of the previous shows they negative for they're going to be above that they're going to be above that the bears. I mean i. I mean i you know what i'm gonna say. They're going to be below. Because i do think that there's still kind of you know. They're not the defense that they were back in two thousand eighteen. I'm not going to say it's they're going to be reduced by a lot. But i do think that it's not going to. They're going to have another down year on defense. Now i mean they still got playmakers. They still got roquan smith. Eddie jackson they still got khalil. Mack akeem hex. But i just think that this defense is. It's still not what it once was back in two thousand eighteen and and i just think that you know they're going to give up more points. There's gonna be a few more cracks in this defense. And i think teams are going to be able to exploit that. I don't know i. I just think that you know the bears. They're going to be a defense that depending on the match up. You're gonna wanna start him and you know what maybe if justin fields comes in and provides a spark. This defense plays better. Because we've seen that happen. You know we look at the forty niners from a couple years ago in two thousand seventeen. They were awful. And then jimmy garoppolo came in and they won five straight. The defense played better so that could be something that the bears need they need to provide. The news sparked to You know make them play better and just feels could be the guy that provides that because you know what they've been dealing with playing with mitchell trubisky and nick foles now. They might actually have a quarterback that you know can galvanize them get them energized and go get them to go out there and play better and you know i think because of that their defense will be. It's going to be awful. Of course. But i don't think it's a defense that you would take as high. Were starred as much as you would back in two thousand eighteen when they were really really good. So that's my thought on the bears defense. I think they're going to be slightly below their fantasy totals from a year ago. So moving onto their kicker. You got cairo santos last year. One hundred thirty six fantasy points thirty of thirty two when it came to field goal attempts..

"Okay yes yes welcome back. Welcome back to the show. Everybody huffily everyone was able to enjoy that weekend of football. We just had happy tuesday. Everybody or whenever you listening to this podcast okay. We talked about college football and how called for week. Zero is all about making money culture balls and all about making money but what sports college sports in general is all about making money and you know we had some good games going on illinois. I nebraska puts the only game of that last week. But i'm tired of cupcake games. I'm tired of preseason games and we just ended week. Three am tired of fake football. Now we get some real football like batiste before the break. Today tuesday august thirty first were saying goodbye to august and that means were saying goodbye to a lot of. Nfl talent on the field. It's cut day tuesday and it's gonna be hard because over the next couple of days. Teams are going to have to make a difficult decision and you know what injuries are also going to be playing playing apart and this process because injuries always stripe during preseason football innocent thing. So we're gonna get to cut gay and injuries and there's going to be a lot of news coming within the next couple of days hours when it comes to. Nfl football so get ready. Get locked and loaded. You're gonna be it's gonna be a wide ride. It's gonna be intense and there's gonna be people on your team you know. We cut him why. There's going to be a lot of fans and a lot of fan bases shook about the moves and are going to be made. But that's just the thing that's just the crazy where i'd we call the nfl so we'll get into that and a lot more coming up now all right like i mentioned before over the next two days it's gonna be rough with all the highs of football starting football being back in our lives. There's gonna be some lows and it's already started and it's going to be continuing on throughout these next couple of days because over the next two days teams will have to trim their rosters down to fifty three players. We're going from eighty to fifty three now. No mathematician but that's over eight hundred players eight hundred players eight hundred eight. Zero zero will be told that they're going to be released that their dreams of playing football for that said franchise will be no more for now. Now some we'll be back on the practice squad so we'll be back but for the rest. It's a tough reality. Their dreams to make the nfl will take a massive hit. Now it's gonna be a tough next couple of days for a lot of players and a lot of family of those players so when we're looking at all these rosters and were talking about the breaking news of oh bershad perryman just got released or a defensive lineman just got released or a first round pick taco charleston. Just got released now. It's couple of weeks ago but still when we're going into the days twitter peak hours and the twitter season of oh breaking. Nfl news some some roster just got released and someone didn't make the fifty three and we thought would make it just realize that at the end the day these players they're people too because most people don't realize most people don't realize the fact that these players these guys are trying their hardest are trying their best to make this roster to make one of the fifty three and yeah you're going to be some lots. There's gonna be some locks on there but there's going to be guys who are bouncing around there's going to be guys on the bubble and before we go on twitter and said oh what a horrible move or great that guys off my squad. I hate that guy. Just think before you tweet. That's all i have to say if you have. If you take away anything from this podcast. Anything from any podcast. You listen to here. It is think before you tweet. Just think because you never know how many guys see those tweets of oh finally for example ritchie james. Judy he's outta here great. I'm so glad he's outta here or bouchard pairing him. I'm so glad off my squad. Think before you tweet because we we really need to realize that these are people to and some people are gonna lose their jobs. It's it's tough. It's tough business. It's a cruel world but it's a part of the business unit. Want somebody tweeting at you and tweeting about how you lost your job. You know no. If you lost your job i know a lotta. People lost their job over the past. Couple of what ten to twelve months with this whole kobe in this whole pandemic situation and the corona virus taking a lot of jobs homes family members. It's been a difficult time. And i understand it. I feel for you but let's feel for these people. Let's not talk about. Oh the roster cutdown. Let's talk about the people who are losing their opportunity to play. Let's talk about the wide receiver on the bubble. Who's not getting the chance to live out his dream and getting cut. Let's talk about those people and let's put it into real life terms. Let's not talk about. Oh the ravens setting their wide receiver core up or the bills. Finalizing the roster. Let's talk about. let's be genuine. Let's have empathy. Let's show some empathy for those guys who are losing their chance to play football to live out their dreams and play in the nfl. Because most of these guys most of these guys who are cut who never get a chance again. Most of these guys who are cut who will be on the bubble and who be one of those last of the fifty four to get cut will never have a chance to play and live out their dreams of playing in the nfl. Some of those guys might retire. Some the guys who've been in the league for a longtime they might say you know what we're going to wrap it up and we're going to give it all and if i don't get but don't get a roster spot i'm gonna call it quits but hubba career but just before we start tweeting out. Oh yeah this is the fifty three man roster some got cut or here the roster cuts throughout the next couple of days. Just think about the players and think about the human beans think about the name on the back of the jersey not the name on the front because it is a difficult time right now for all these players around the league like i said before eight hundred eight hundred players will be told within the.

"Then the pause is sort of like that balance and so i kind of felt that was kind of going to fast forward moment needed a way to slow it down so i went to ups Some early sheet music. And i was just like okay. Two days ago. I finally played for release all the way through. And here's a grand piano to sitting here like this elegant piano in the so tell so i ran home. Grab my macro lens and an executed a project. That's been one of the other products on my to do list which is just a macro shoot of a grand piano to eventually print out and use a in my studio as like because if you come into my studio you will see a record player. You will see a huge guitar amplifier. You'll see guitars some very much. Branding myself along the musici- musician background. And i just had to take those pictures. And it was funny. Because here's this conference where people travel from texas. You know i met someone texas. I just threw that out there. But i'm sure people traveled from even further taxes. To be here. Meet up with other models and other people and here. Here's an answering in the corner being isolated taking pictures of the grand piano. So like you're you're still just taking pictures of that like people here and i'm like you don't understand. So that's the product she is referring to i. I love the way. I love the way your brain works. I don't know whether this is really a a question. But i want i want to make an observation for everybody listening One of the things that you've learned to do and it's funny. How you talked about in a little. You were a little bit introverted. And this is what you do and it's always it was always about You expressing things you were feeling but one of the things that makes a huge difference you sent me a you commented and then you sent me an email on a project and then i said you wanna do a guest post one of the things that you do really well is be accessible. And i can't tell you how many times shamir and i have been chasing down. It could be an artist for podcast. It could be somebody. Were just trying to catch up to for something she might be doing. Or i'm doing or all of us in the industry the fact that the fact that you responded right away the fact that you responded and somehow over the years you weren't just an artist you actually learned how to write and communicate because there are so many times that i get stuff from photographers and i get it. Your artis your photographers. You didn't set out to be writers but just use spell check everybody or use gramley. It's gone out to somebody or the bottom line is that you wanna be accessible. You want to get back to somebody when they call. If it's a client you want to get back to them especially in the wedding industry if you're a client and and you're chasing down your photographer and you've just put the word out to. Let's say three photographers whose work you saw online and liked on ninety percent of the time. Whoever gets back to you. The quickest is going to be the one that stands out in your mind. So i don't know andrew you're you're a lesson to responding quickly and nicely and coherently thank you. I don't know how we turn that. Amy rescued because you obviously you didn't cut. You didn't cut the writing class in high school or college. You stay through the whole thing and it shows thank you well. You know. I've always said it. And i'm gonna say it again. These interviews fly by so fast and skip. I think i'm gonna hit our final question. Our final question unless there's anything else though right so. This is the perfect question to this country's photographer and is learned a lot in his bershad amount of time. Right right so andrew. What advice do you have four photographers. Who were just starting out today. especially with the challenges of everything going on With the world. What would you tell them. Which would they be doing i. I wish i had time to prepare this answer. But i'm gonna go with what comes to mind and here's what i've got for that and way. That's that's a job definitely thought on this for awhile. One piece of advice. I really want to hammer home to newbies because it came up from the i guess from me being quote the newbie at khan. I was in the same situation. So you see what i mean but the lesson is take everything that you get from quote unquote experts and intermediate with a grain of salt. Because i do if. I have if you have a few minutes or is real quick. Look how go forward. Well i always draw from the lessons. I learned in music both and professionally and one thing that i've learned is you know i. I mentioned my drummer. My best friend. We went through this decade long musical journey together starting with meeting the one taking piano lessons getting theory injected into my brain knowing about melody harmony rhythm and he was the drummer. People joke. that drummers don't know anything about music and in a in a way that's true but in a good way that's true and you fast forward ten years and skip over all the times where we're in a writing session and i'm kind of solve that. The ban voted for his idea..

"The way we talk about. Injuries now is so fast. And so let's try and gauge your. Look he's face to face when he clarify non month and the the ira this he knows. At least this is gonna be a month and so what does that mean. Tell me what that means this offense. The weakest part of this football team is still weak. The thing that was going to potentially hold this football team back is already in the preseason holding this football team back. And i'm asking myself how do they pass game. That is in desperate. Need of getting better. Get better when the integral pieces that are going to do. That can't work together. This kid get any better in the preseason right now if we focused on one point of this passing that was gonna get need to get better. I had said since. They drafted him rashad. Bateman outside of the quarterbacks is the most important rookie in the nfl. And we're talking about all their receivers hollywood brown. He needs to get better with the mark. He's not practicing. Boykin needs to become a big play receiver with his size. It hasn't happened and bateman if we're gonna pinpoint one specific area in the past game that needs to get better. It's going to be perimeter. Okay as a quarterback when i'm throwing the ball to the perimeter it's more often not going to be out of my hands before the receivers looking for it just because it's got to go so far and that all comes down to feel and rep and timing and rhythm. How can those guys get better. If they're not able to do it this was a weakness heading into this season that they were hopefully going to attack and it's still a weakness. This a huge huge concern for super bowl contender. So lewis going back to our previous scale. We could be concerned. We could be perturbed. We could be terrified. Where do we stand as far as concern that this will keep this offense from accomplishing what they need to this year. They're not available. That i'm terrified that it's going to keep the offense from accomplishing what they want to accomplish. The fact is though they still have some time in order to get these guys ready now. Obviously when when. John says that were shot. It's gonna be out maybe a month or it'll be it'll be a number of weeks i mean. Obviously that's a huge setback. Thirteen wide receivers in training camp. They only had eight of them on the football field math. I mean that's five guys who are not practicing. And i'm not that smart math but that's the bad guys aren't practicing and you're trying to help out help out a passing game. Obviously that this is this going to. It's going to curtail the improvement that you're hoping to make so look. They're gonna rely on what they do. The very best they're gonna rely on running the football. Jk dobbins by all accounts right now is someone who i think people are saying. Look for this young man to absolutely explode while he'd better be ready to explode especially in the first month of the season and the needs to make sure he himself stays available stays healthy stays off the covert list. Make sure that he is someone who doing everything possible to make sure he stays on the football field along with number twenty seven and the guys like mark andrews because if they're not on the football field things get sideways for baltimore and our hurry and they could find themselves behind the eight ball. Coming out of the first month of the season is not. That's not where they wanna be in a very competitive division with cleveland and the steelers. Maybe not as bad as people thinking. What are you hearing dan. Look we know they can run. The ball is not in question that they're not taking running backs and guards in the first round of the year the wide receivers. They haven't been able to get it right right. I mean you go back to bershad. Paramedics markey's sprouts good player but hasn't been like a first round caliber guy. Hayden hearst a tight end. they took they just. They haven't been able to find in the draft. These weapons in the passing game. That would make them a difference maker in that realm and obviously lamar jackson a specific kind of quarterback. We know he can throw but he needs pieces around him to be operating at a high level in the passing game. So the fact that this guy's not ready is not a good sign that our level has reached concern in baltimore. Hold that thought. Meanwhile let me run the through some of the baseball yesterday. There's.

"He really did not get you know the targets that i was expecting him to get even with cd in the line of and even going down made it a lot worse so yeah. I'm not really as high on michael gallup's have been now with cd lamb in the fold. So moving on to some other players tyler lockett. He's another guy. I'm not really as high on as i have been because the boomer boss stuff really that really hurts his fantasy stock that that really does because he's a guy that definitely can be productive and has proven it and when i traded him to my friend last year and he had that forty five point. Performance against the cardinals. You know. that's a good tyler lockett but there are times. We're tired walking at two points or he gets nothing and i know that is something that not a lot of people want on their fantasy team. I just don't i. It's just you know i don't want that. You know i could definitely be affleck's option and of course he's going to have as good games this year one hundred percent but the boomer bus stuff is very concerning and it is something that i wanna stay away from. So he's somebody that i think. We'll see a decrease in fantasy stock. You know it's somebody that i definitely could see having an increase in fancy stock. This year is tj hopkinson and the reason for that is when you look at the detroit lions you know weapons bershad. Paramount tiro williams. They drafted a wide receiver. Saint brown you know it. It's not great receiving core. And you know the running backs i think you're going to play a pivotal role this year. Swift and jamaal williams in goth is gonna definitely need a security blanket and tj hodkinson. Is that guy. Jared goff loves tight ends. You know we had good tight ends in hague gerald everett. Now he comes over to detroit where he's going to be playing with. Probably you know arguably the best tight end that i think he's you know ever played with since you know entering the league. I think tj hogson is better than higby and gerald ever. But we're just gonna have to wait and see but you know if teaching hodkinson is the guy that you know. Jared goff security blanket definitely could see him having a rise in fantasy stock going into this season so a guy that i definitely see you know. Fantasy stock decreasing is michael. Thomas and michael. Thomas was fantastic in two thousand nineteen he was. He was my I believe he was my. He's my second pick. I pick todd gurley and todd. Gurley did not have his best season after he was insane in twenty eighteen but had girly. And then dr michael thomas and michael. Thomas was amazing. He had a great season last year. You know he dealt with injuries and just you know was not. He was not a good wide receiver last year. And fantasy and didn't have a touchdown until the playoffs you know. And that's just. That is on michael. Thomas lake now. He's injured again and it. It's really gonna be it's gonna be tough for him so it. This is a guy that went like in the you know the first second round. Now he's getting. I mean who knows where he's going to be taken now that he's not even going to be playing the first couple of games of the season. You know so michael. Thomas is definitely another guy that is going to be going to see a decrease in fantasy value. And it's unfortunate because he is really good wide receiver. It's just you know he's not he can't he hasn't been able to stay healthy now. In ou- he got injured last year. Now he's injured again and he's gonna miss some time so it's just It's unfortunate because this guy can be a valuable asset to a team and the saints definitely need him because they really do not. Have you know a lot of weapons outside him. Other than kamara you know. So they're gonna they're gonna have to figure something out but michael. Tom is definitely a guy. That's going to be taken much later in drafts. And i and i think you really gotta wait to have a whole team before picking him up as a right now So another guy that. I think that you know. I'm kind of low on and fantasy is odell beckham junior and also jujubes. Smith's user odell just for some reason you know i mean he's coming off of the injury though. I do think he's incredibly talented. And i think he is a good wide. Receiver for fantasy just lacks consistency. And that's really the main reason why. I think that he's a guy that you know should be going late in fantasy drafts. Obviously deeper leagues. It's different but i think he's a guy that should be going late in fantasy drafts just because he really just you know with the browns. I don't think he has really hasn't piece it. All together had then sane. Game against the cowboys. I know that and definitely can have those games where he does really well for fantasy but i feel the lack of consistency is why i'm not as high on him. And i think a lot of people would agree with that so he's one wide receiver that i'm not as high on. Also you got juju. Smith schuster i just. He's another guy. I just do not trust you know in fantasy. I mean look at his numbers. I mean he actually didn't do too bad in fantasy last year. But i think a lot of that had to do with the he did. He did actually did have a decent amount of touchdowns last year to against the giants. He had once had three four five. Six seven eight nine nine touchdowns last year. That definitely inflated numbers and some of these games. But i don't know he's just a guy that you know i just don't trust him i just don't i like the other wide receivers. I like the andre johnson. I like his increase in fantasy stock. This year i like the increase in fantasy. Stock of deontay johnson. I think those guys you that you take those guys over juju. I'm sorry. I just don't i just don't trust you you i really don't and just all the tick tock stuff is just ridiculous you know i just feel like you know. It's a separate issue but yeah that all that stuff is ridiculous but yeah. I liked the other wide receivers of the steelers more than i liked jujio and then another guy that i'm high on this year. The tight end for the washington. Football team logan thomas. I really think he is going to have a good season with fitzpatrick overall. I think all the weapons or we're going to see an increase in fantasy stock on washington. Because i feel like fitzpatrick. I though i have talked about. You know the inconsistencies with fitzpatrick. I think that when he's on he could be on an definitely will help out this offense a lot because these weapons are really talented. And they just need a quarterback and ryan fitzpatrick could be that guy to provide him. You know provide some civility at the quarterback position at least for a season. I don't expect it to be for that long because you know. He is in his late thirties. But we'll have to see another guy high on robert. Tanya n- had a really great season with rogers last year you know scored a touchdown in five straight games. He's my fantasy tight end again for my dynasty league. So you know. I think that he's going to do well. Especially now rogers coming back. That definitely helps him immensely. So he's a guy. I'm high on Hit you're going gonna see a rise in fantasy stock for him. You're gonna see a rise in fantasy stock. For chase edmunds kenyan. Drake is no longer there. And james connor is unfortunately injury prone. So i think chase. Edmunds is definitely going to be a guy that will see an increase. You know where. He is drafted A guy that. I'm kind of low on while i am low on his brand cokes. I mean it's just unfortunate because he plays for the texans and their quarterback situation right now is a complete mess and i don't i just feel like when you look at anybody on the texans it just you don't really want to you. Don't wanna take anybody i mean. I just wanna stay away from them. So i just. I don't even want to bother with anybody from taxes unless to shawn watson does play. That's a different story. But you know brandon coaxes another guy that i'd wanna stay away from. So you know other guys here. Darrell henderson now. With the injury to cam acres. I think he is going to see an increase in fantasy value You know because the rams really don't have any other options right now. They do have other running backs on the team. But you know we don't really know how they're going to be. They definitely got look outside the box and try to maybe get you know somebody else in there. You know to help out running back situation. But yeah i definitely can see I definitely see henderson. Seeing having an increase in fantasy value especially playing for the rams and the rams are going to be a good team this year. I think the cam acres injury does stink. And it's really going to affect them..

"Upload our rankings use the strategy articles easy game ever start here with the big injury news carson wentz out five to twelve weeks after a foot injury dr carson wentz down to qb thirty in our underdog. Ranks not really factor. Anyway was never someone i was taking. I think the bigger question is in on wednesday himself. It's how does this timeline has injury effect. Jonathan taylor how does it affect michael pittman and before you go. I'll say this. There is some optimism around the colts that maybe could be back by week one. I'm kind of to go. But there's some optimism that he could be back by week. One howard thinking about jt and pitman and hines and all these guys now in the wake of carson wentz his injury especially because he is like devolved into a scattershot. Passer i think that a big part of his game was going to be in indianapolis with was using his legs. I mean he's a good athlete when he's been healthy he's been productive scrambler in. I don't know if that's gonna that's gonna be discouraged now by the coaching staff If you read some of the internet doctors around they they are kind of skeptical. That carson wentz will have his normal mobility one of the best aspects of carson wentz. Laming in indianapolis with was that he was going to reunite with frank reich. And now you know who they they went to the super bowl together. Well carson wentz didn't make it to the super bowl but he played at a super bowl cowboy level in mvp cowed level. Frank reich was with him during his rookie season as well and now they're not gonna be able to work together on the field for the entirety of training camp. He's not gonna take any reps in preseason and then you sort of an unknown i just. I think it's going to be a rocky year for indianapolis where you been down on their win. Total down on their chances of making the playoffs. I think they were probably going to see a couple of different quarterbacks. See time frene apples. And i also think that it's a poor setup now for michael pittman who is not really necessarily a separation receiver in one of the one of the better things about carson wentz throughout his Ben that he has been willing to throw the ball into tight windows and you know theoretically the carson wentz michael pittman connection had shot a now. I mean if he's not playing i. I think that that's really going to sink. Michael pittman and i've lot of a move down. Michael pittman quite a ways in my top one fifty. Yeah let's talk about jonathan taylor for a second. Jonathan taylor is not game script independent. I think jonathan taylor gonna lose a lot of passed down work to behinds and if that's the case if you think. That is the case like while. Negative games for the colts. Not going to be good for jonathan taylor. I believe you dropped him to twelve overall. Did you think about going lower on. Jonathan taylor and how would you think about him now. Right and you mentioned the game scrap. Let's look at the colts opening schedule. week one at home against seattle. I'm all over seattle in his. We've been over all over seattle for months here and now it's looking even better with the injury to carson wentz. So i think that they in. I think she had a wins. That game a week to against the rams. The rams are kind of thin but they'll be healthy in week two and so they're going to be getting the coaching getting the best of the rams. That's not a good match up. I don't think for indianapolis week three. They go to the titans. I think that the titans at this point should probably be the favourite to win the afc south. I'm putting my money on on a long shot. Bet on the jaguars to win the afc south but right now. I think that the titans should be slight favorites to win the afc south. This'll be a road game. Home field advantage should be back this year with fans in the stands presumably nen. It goes the dolphins nick ravens overmatched in both of those games. So i think if the colts are at risk of a really really slow start. That would not bode particularly well for jonathan taylor. I mean you're you're taking him address. You're obviously going to be still starting him but i think it is a big concern for him as a player. That is going to lose passing down snaps and targets to nahim heights. Yeah i would have no problem dropping taylor right now behind the likes of joe mixon antonio gibson saquon barkley. I would have no problem with that whatsoever. People were worried about this. Jonathan taylor situation. I will sam a little bit higher than you on michael pitman. I would still take michael. Pittman ahead of the jalen waddell randall. Cobb bershad perriman types. I think michael is the guy they absolutely need to rely on. I don't know a ton. About jacob to be honest. I still think they can. Trade for jimmy garoppolo. Marcus mariota. Maybe nick foles. But you wanna give a thirty seconds on on jacob eastern for anybody who doesn't know a lot about him Really lacking in athleticism might have been a guy that fifteen years ago would have gone a little bit higher in the draft not dominate in college. Through like around fifteen touchdown passes the final season. The camp reports have been not good about jake unison. So far it's either. He's throwing a bunch of passes to running backs or he's throwing the ball to the other to the defense So jacobson was kinda thought of highly. I think coming out of high school but he's not really the type of quarterback that excels in today's nfl anymore. With just a distinct lack of mobility. I will say i mean carson wentz was downright dreadful last year. One of the worst quarterbacks the nfl. And i'm not saying that to be funny. Clearly one of the worst quarterbacks in the nfl last year was carson. Wentz still obviously downgrade to jacob eastern. I did think that wentz with frank reich in the bible narrative back he was gonna pay better this year. Something more exciting trae lance our boy. I mean god we've been on trae lands for months climbing hard reports out of forty. Niners cam is that trey. Lance has just running circles around. Jimmy garoppolo i almost fired on trae lance plus three thirty to start week. One point decided to pass. Because.

"That field if you were in a straight race or if you're just one on one with anybody. Lamar is gonna win every one on one situation. Because he's flat out faster and has better acceleration than anybody else field. And so i think that must be challenging to slow down when when you know that you're faster than everybody else and that may be caused a little bit of of of a mental rap for jackson. Try and learn in in in in utilize effectively. Yeah i probably run a six to forty. So i can only imagine if i was as fast as more how much we love and be excited to. You'd run everywhere. Wouldn't you like you like you'd be in the grocery parking lots and be like. Hey do you want to raise for for like a gallon of milk. Like you wanna run like i would be hanging out everywhere. We like. You wanna raise. Do you wanna raise. Ib the kid in the in the lightning bowl batman shoes being less lanes wasn't me faster. Boom and hopping on the flash. These would make you fat. I would. I would do that all the time you can. Catch me. sprinting. Yup hit the pf flyers. San law have been one of those old school tv. Game shows where it's the supermarket in the put as many things in the cart says margie. Sweet baby yes. I'm throwing hams and wheels. Jesus get all the expensive haute milken and they're everything like we have a strategy. You're shameless. We have a strategy. Now talk a little bit before the show but marcus brown. Someone who. I really wanted the eagles to draft in two thousand nine team. End up getting andre dillard. Who hasn't had a lot of successive. Nfl right now again. That's another discussion. Highwood brown loved him. Come into the draft again. Hasn't really lived up to that first. Round billing seemed like again. We talked about running backs then. Great running backs in mark andrews emerged as one of the premier tight ends in the league and twenty eight hundred. Twenty nine thousand. So how do you see. Or how did lamar have success. As someone who is probably better the deep ball and some of the short game without real true true high level town at the receiver position right Marquees is a very talented player obsolete. I've watched him. And i know that's not you weren't saying otherwise. It's just that he he Has been a little inconsistent. Lamar has inconsistencies in. When you both are on different wave lengths it's really challenging for an offense operate also Marquees was being asked to essentially step into the nfl and become A relative of his would be and that's antonio brown a lot of people just said this is the next antonio brown throwing on your offense. He's to catch one hundred balls isn't go off for thirteen hundred yards ten touchdowns like that's who markey's brown is like. That's unfair aspirations of any rookie. And that was challenging. Also markey's brown has yet to have a full real training camp which is last year. He you know his rookie isn't he. Had a couple of screws in his foot was missing time The next year everything shut in virtual and and offsite due to cova nineteen. But as for how the ravens have operated with With the offense and trying to give jackson weapons. They've taken shots you know they've they've done so and this season more than any. It's it's being realized. Just how many you know rounds in the chamber. They've fired at trying to get this offense setup for jackson's longterm success they drafted marquees brown. They draft miles boykin. They've dr- assigned free agencies all throughout including sammy. Watkins is most recent offseason draft rashad bateman and thailand wallace first round. Pick therefore rishaad bateman. Jk dobbins was a draft pick Not this year but the year prior. They're trying their best to with a full offensive group. They brought in kevin zeitler After trading orlando brown junior at his request brought by all hendro villanueva to fill in that. Right talk about this free agency. Period and draft period was had nothing to do with the defense. They already had claes campbell. Derek wolfe All pro cornerback with marlon. Humphrey and marcus. Peters they had no reason to pursue anything defensively. I said we want to surround our franchise quarterback with all the options available for us and that can be afforded by us early in his career. Tough but when you bring in a wide receiver in two thousand eighteen. Bring a quarterback in two thousand eighteen. You can expect to also bring in a whole host of weapons to surround them with it. Takes a multi year plan to be successful especially when you didn't get started with this plan until halfway through twenty eighteen so they went out and drafted markey's round right away in two thousand nine hundred miles boykin as well They've pursued weapons. They've done everything they can really does feel that way to to bring in players to lead towards his term success. Yeah when speaking about brown and never really having a full off-season what me now is. I'm recording us monday afternoon. It was announced today that first round pick devante smith has an mc all in. His knee is a week to week. Obviously eagles have had some murky injury history when they hear week to week. It's kind of light. Lightbulb goes off offer head get really nervous things like that and adam schefter said it might be two to three week injury. Maybe he's running for week one eight. He's not in week when i'm worried about him. Just being behind in terms of transitioning to the pro game because he has all italian world but without building up that rapport with hurts and training camp throughout the preseason just giving his legs on her literally guesses a knee injury. And that's a scary thing for me. And i'm not comparing brown. I have all the hope. In the world that devante smith can be a pro bowl all pro player for years to come but amari a little bit nervous there because it would also negatively affect hurts developing kind of pretty given the situation like carson winston for the last couple years there's really no telling him wide receiver after isaac film flash for two or three weeks four weeks. Whatever was last season not turn back into a pumpkin. Have jalen rigor up and down. Pretty pretty disappointing. Rookie season then. Greg ward of the you know. The our average is the least yards per reception and the nfl. The last couple of years so not a lot of great talent there are some will concern probably moisture than more eagles fans. I'm a little more mystic that the smith injury might mir similarly the of the stuff that brown his job with both smaller gains. I think that's a fair comparison. I think also that you are looking at it through a a little bit of a pessimistic scope but the ravens have similar Injury notes when you hear to week day to day because actually it was just announced today like you said this is being recorded on monday. That markey's brown left on thursdays practice. They leg injury and they said it's more precautionary than anything you know. It's slow bit tightness in and we just wanna make sure the muscle health is there. It is now monday and you still hasn't returned to the field. That's three practices. They did have sunday off. And when asked today john harbaugh said ya'll it's a. It's a little bit worse than we initially been told and we're going to. He's going to be back out there when he comes out there. The reason harvard doesn't even give us a specific date or specific day-to-day week-to-week term is because of the bershad perryman. Saga that unfolded but the ravens. Here a few years back when he would an injury they said he'd be out your morrow and they didn't and then he's back next week and then he suffered another knee injury and it was every week he's week-to-week he's week to week and became such repetitive and frustrating process for perryman harbaugh in the ravens fan base in the media involved. That harbaugh now doesn't really want to Disclose a like specificity with injury news particularly with wide receiver. So i can. I can certainly feel what you mean and sympathize there with when it comes to wide receiver injury news. Yeah i still think of smith plays fifteen sixteen games. He top thousand yards. It could be in the offense year discussion for sure. But i just don't want him to be a little behind it. I don't want to cause at domino effect where jalen hurts behind where he should be accord the lack of smith there. Because i'm so excited for everyone philadelphia's and he's gonna obviously play gigantic roles offense means on the field. You know down either best skill position player immediately so obviously eagles fans open for that A lot right now. That's our biggest concern more. So than i know jalen hurts his foot worker accuracy regular. Everyone just wants smith to be healthy on the field. September twelfth downer. Kyle thank you so much for coming on. Do you have anything quickly. Plug a kind of told you little spiel anything that podcast anything we wanna look out for. Yeah for sure If you are interested in reading a wrap up of ravens media news and coverage That's actually what late for.

"If you just go in the strictest perms possible divvy grappling what. I would even look at the tape because not only does he not have any type of ceiling. I want to draft a quarterback that has a high ceiling He he also could lose his job at any moment of the season. so he's not someone. I'm even wasting a late round pick on. There's far too many other quarterbacks As long as you're in a one quarterback league like i want to even consider looking his way Obviously if you're in a two quarterback league you're super flex league which means you can start a quarterback in your flex spot. Then garoppolo is going to be in play. But i i mean i might even consider taking justice fields over or not. Just feel sorry trae lands over here. Sorry i got the fields in my head. I taking trae lands over him holding him on my bench and hoping he wins the job. 'cause land starts he's going to be an instant fantasy like contributor. He's going to be so good for fantasy football due to his legs like it's chico for quarterbacks and if he starts more than twelve games i can see him sneaking into the top twelve immediately of quarterbacks. Where we'll if it's one quarterback league what about as a backup quarterback option no. We don't you don't draft backup quarterbacks in one quarterback leaks. Don't waste not. Don't waste of backup quarterback. Use your waiver wires for that. No actually my league. You can't end the draft. Unless you have two quarterbacks on your roster go get different league. What does that mean why. Why go get it. You want me to pick up a league off the waiver wire. You can't start to cord accident one quarterback league. You're just wasting bench spots and depth of like go try to hit on another wide. Receiver lake grow. Go grab any rookie wide receiver. That has a chance to break out at least gives you percent chance of something You can fine quarterback cestari if you need to on the waiver wire all season long. I'm stunned at this advice. And i have to change my whole week. Setup now you have to take two so that means everyone has to. And then. I won't be as many quarterbacks on the waivers it does depend on your league right like if everyone's owning two quarterbacks that you can't just use the waivers but the league's i plan. If i'm gonna one quarterback league we all just kind of you know take one. There's some people who will take too but you know there's so many like you just play with the match up so you know baker mayfield probably won't be drafted but if he gets a matchup against the bengals it's like okay. That's a nice week to play. Pick them up off waivers. Then if i need to those are the expert fantasy football leagues that you plan. Those are the those. Are the expert ones where we don't waste our draft picks on a backup quarterback. Well okay one more on this and then we can move. I like the fact though that if because every team has to pick up an extra quarterback and they can't like you were saying trafton extra wide receiver draft an extra running back that when you do need to go to the waiver wire there's actually like legitimate credible options there because people's benches aren't packed with guys because of the quarterback rule. That's fair and i will say if i was a nearly and i have to take a second quarterback i'm not taking the jimmy garoppolo who zero ceiling. You can find jimmy garoppolo's on your waiver wire even people having to like there'd be someone there that has a nice matchup but i will take a rookie as an trae lance and hope. He gets a starting job out. Take justin fields helping. It's starting like that's the guy. I'll be happy keeping my bench. Because if when he takes over they can instantly be top twelve fantasy quarterbacks because of their rushing upside that even find like jack wilson. 'cause you know he gets the start week one. He doesn't have the same type of rushing upside. but i do think he'll put up two hundred and fifty rushing yards a kinda like just justin. Her ulta get into the end zone with his legs. So like those of quarterbacks. I would take a head of take a second quarterback and the other fantasy question that. It's not wanna get because you basically scan your timeline for fantasy advice and the thing i saw this week was interesting. You have a philosophy when it comes to later round. Picks in your draft yes. The philosophy is stop digging in the weeds. So i put out this series called how to be a gold digger. And it's taking golden the late rounds and digging for gold doesn't mean to take tevin coleman in the double digit ron's because he might get some carries with the jets. It doesn't mean taking it. Oh god forbid like larry fitzgerald. Everyone loves to take late right. He's not even on the team right now but this is a player that everyone's like. Oh well he'll be okay. We'll take them in the double digit rounds. Glaciers stop wasting your draft. Picks on these guys. You know what they're going to give you and it's nothing if they have zero ceiling. Don't take them. Because like i keep saying you use your waiver wire so take a shot. I wanted these rookies. Take a shot on a guy like bershad pyramid. Who's going to be the wide receiver one on the lions take. A shot entree sermon late. Because he could win the starting job You know if they fail they fail. You cost like nothing but at least you took the shot if you hit the league winner if they hit you drop them and you try a gun on the waiver wire is because there's always other people that are going to break out that you can go grab on the waivers And just wasting a draft pick. Late is just years burning it and putting it in the garbage. Because you know they're going to score eight points a week and be completely pointless via roster okay. There are so many things. I love about what you just said. First of all. I feel like we missed an opportunity with the name of the show when it comes to gold diggers like come. That would have been perfect. I thought of that. Yeah we can still change it gold diggers second of.

"Bench. She's married to this four three three. That's not conducive to the elements. He has and well when you give a team enough chances to come back and can grow and confidence. That's going to happen. Your lots of missed chances. This came from mexico hurt. And what's really worrying for me and we just saw on right there. Is that a lot of those. Miss chances fell. Okay your phone as mardi. He's the guy who's supposed to come in and finish and as long as that continues as he continues to miss those chances as this team continues to miss those chances. Don't think for a second that the pressure is not going to build. There was twenty minutes in that second. Half dude was the better team. Were more than twenty. They're far more likely. I think from minutes sixty two minute. Eighty to find a goal before. Mexico's ever going to find the second like played really well or you can say. Mexico played played very very poorly. I am interested that you notice the same thing i noticed. Which was the stadium when they showed that. Bershad of the stadium. Right from midfield. I could not believe how much blue i was seeing. And you gave credit to us other. I wonder if some of that is also a reflection of how fans in this country might be feeling about mexico. That's true in those same pants could be mexican fans who all of a sudden disconnect dishearted with their mexican team in the play and the chant the chant and just in general everything that's going on and also all three games were played in dallas and eighteen thousand the carnival. Maybe they're just tired of pain. The same amount of money to watch mexico do what. They've not been really good at doing lately now. The men's national team to put you on the hot spot. I need you to grade. I know it's going to hurt but give me a great okay fair enough. Let's just put it this way. I may much more critical a much harsher professor. I think over than you are. Oh okay so. They got through a seven points. Two wins and a draw. I'm giving them a d. minus okay a d. minus the lowest possible passing grade. That you can give. Somebody is what. I'll give mexico before i tell you why. Let me just ask you this. do you think initially. I'm being too harsh. Yes i do. I've been you are go ahead. Okay fair enough so one you're number. One player is injured. A significant injury out for a long time. That's a big blow. That's a really bad thing that happened in the group phase for mexico. It also happened her in a tournament. Where the united states decided to send their bt. Here you are you. You've risked yuki lozano season tournament where the us can't even be bothered to send their eighteen. That's concerned number one. Okay number two. We just talked about it. You're not finishing as well as you wanna play in the seventy in the eighty percent possession without goals. It means nothing and it's a problem. The mexican national team has had for a long time. Finally the expectation with this team against this competition. I'm sorry it's three-for-three it's nine points. They drop points. That didn't they did not meet expectations so almost i could fail them just for that just for that but because they win the group and just barely i'll give them. I'll give them the passing grade the d. minus okay. I'm trying to think of anything positive. I will get you what is the. What is the positive like eddie. Gutierrez is playing for shouldn't because he's had one good game in his whole career now is against a twenty nigeria team at the positive that goes to finishing four goals in three games. Three of those goals came as guatemala. Talks about being the better team for twenty minutes. I got nothing to do with me. Let me tell you pay. Three of those goals came against guatemala. Who's only in this tournament. Because of the semester on salazar curse because savvy picchu sal. As surprise team and chris not even here because the covert outbreak. They're not they're okay. But it's the finishing serb. Look at mexico's play. Look at the possession and the amount of opportunities to create opposition against trinidad and tobago zero zero game. Eighty two percent possession thirty shots on goal finishing against guatemala. seventy percent possession. Seventeen shots on goal against that southbound order fifty four percent possession sixteen shots on goal goals. Change games when you don't finish you. Give confidence to these teams like el salvador and a grown confidence. And they can do this to you. This is a team that if they finish. We're talking about the mexico to me. It comes down to finishing okay. I don't need a full explanation for you. But you don't like my d-minus then would you have given mexico for their play in the group phase c plus c plus for everybody then fair enough. Let's compare the two then. United states in mexico as they get ready to head into the quarter-finals. We know they're both into the last eight. We know they're both into the last eight as group winners. Who has bigger problems. Who's got bigger issues who's got bigger worries as we head into the knockout rounds or the gold cup between the us and mexico. The us men's national team now listen dino himself may have bigger worries jobs on the line but in general in play in this tournament by mexico's got eighteen with european stars a.

"Now calvin ridley was going behind the endre hopkins until i would say about a week before. Julio jones was traded you saw ridley go up ridley now is wide receiver. Three at the two zero six the andre hopkins wide receiver. Five at the two. Oh wait which one is gonna finish better. I think really is absolutely gonna finish better while while i think that. I don't think everybody knows that. The under hopkins is a fantastic receiver Think the way that the teams are structured between the two of them. I think really has the better opportunities to get. Just the high volume of touches end targets. He proved has proven himself even with julio jones at he's a legitimate wide receiver one and obviously knock as well. But i think really with the way that the atlanta falcons are structured is just going to to have a year to piggyback on that. Let's say you're commissioning. A football guys draft. What's your reaction when you see. Kyle pits being selected in the second or third round. I think that's crazy rookie. Just the talent is going is going to come come. He's not gonna near his ceiling. Your one why do you think pits in the second or third is crazy. Because it's it's that whole like everybody. It's not everybody knows this but i mean with the exception of gronkowski and i don't even know what to look back stats but it takes typically titans a year to kind of adjust to the nfl. And while. i think this is going to be eventually a really really good tight end. I don't think he's gonna. I don't think he's gonna make that big of an impact his rookie year as people are drafting him. At like hopkinson is is the most gronkowski type theory going nuts promote we get. We're getting the lion's talk now. Oh yeah we are your concern over pits right. Oh yeah absolutely. All right What he came out and everybody thought he was going to be fantastic his rookie. He was okay. And i think is going to be okay. But he's definitely not worth second or third round pick. I was actually at a caesar's palace. I believe and dry drafted tj hopkinson against my better judgment in the company. And then week one he had. Did he have two touchdowns or just out in such a really good week one. And i'm like oh my goodness series bucking the trend and then it never came together but is super talented. He's going to get a lot of you. Think he leads the lions and catches this year. Oh the hell gonna throw it to tyrone williams and bershad perryman. No he's i think he's saying brown at i. I really like on ross brown. I think he's going to be a very interesting slog guy. Kind of like tate was But i think the two highest pass catching targets on the lions are d. Andre swift and tj hopkinson. Do you because you kinda hold it against tight ends in the rookie year. Do you also hold it against receivers in the rookie. Well depending on what kind of receiver. They are When you're talking about like fly receivers ones just run a straight line real fast on the field hill I think they can convert from college football to pro football pretty easily. Their job is to run really fast..

"And that was when those were those. Bob set defenses. That were like actually decent. And we're we're actually competitive every year instead of getting exploited by nfl offenses. Yeah i think he did play his best years still wouldn't know a one. I felt like he was a strong too. And that's that's where. I feel like the kid is. The kid is right now. I feel like we're talking about baseball. How we talk about number. One pitchers versus aces. Yeah feel like. You're looking for aces. i'm talking about a strong number one starter like that. That's what i view these guys. As are they ace's no. That's where you're getting into your jalen ramsey's and The top end talent these guys. I think are legit number one starters on a good team. Yeah like if. We're talking about like that. I think he's a to starter like he's a number to start innings right now. Yeah i i think how gibson that has. Potential is better cal keeps. He's somebody who's got all scoured cows game cinemas mizzou maids or. But if he's if he's a number two guy that you're not going to look at the number one headed into the year then he's brilliant and bershad bruin was perfectly fine for your secondary because that's what shot is viewed as in the nfl. I'll give you that. I i'll give you that but still what bershad be really like. I mean he was a guy that you didn't just leave alone on folks like you didn't just say our rashad got hopkins. Let's just do it about brillant and twenty nineteen last year. I felt like he took a little bit of a step back the chiefs but i thought in twenty nineteen like when you look back at that highlight reel of some of their biggest defensive plays in that season of vast majority of them involves shaab. It's i. I'm just i'm higher on there. I also once again kind of to our initial topic here. Tonight were ron. I feel better about their coaching staff. Like i just. I trust their coaches to get the most out of their corners. Maybe more so than any other spot on this roster because they've been so depleted at that position for so long that the fact that they've even been able to get competent. Cornerback play over. "He plays a definitely plays an important like right now. You don't have hard. I am on frank. Clark like i like i. I can't put him over. Frank right now like i don't feel comfortable doing that. He he was better last year. The frank clark. He was a better football player last year for the chiefs. And frankly i wouldn't. Frank was was not great. I'm just saying as we start. The wrinkling had four more sax last year than luxurious new. As we start the impressive as we start this year though. I'm just saying for me like when. I talk about history and everything that's occurred. I am not sure that i would jump him over that yet. I i don't know man i. I hope that i am wrong. But but in terms of number one corner. Until i see other evidence for me right now thinking about a guy following somebody a guy. That's going to take that assignment. Every week to defined against odeal gets a keenan allen gets. I don't know who denver has but against against orleans. Good receiver jerry. Judy jerry judy. Caja hamlin noah. Fan offense loaded. Not but there's no. I i think i just not ready to go there yet with him. So i mean we'll we'll see. Hopefully i am wrong hopefully by week. Four or five this season. We're sitting there looking at a show. You is dead ass wrong about snead dead from. Here's my question as a follow up to this i. I'm really high on luxurious. Need so much. So that as we're thinking about this right now. Is there another corner other than marcus. Peters that you would take in the last five ten years from the chiefs that are better than luxurious neat. Am i missing somebody. I don't i mean they have struggled that position. If we're counting tire in a corner in this scenario then yeah. I would take him over tyrant i would take tyrant at corner over him. No i mean it's i mean we're looking at terrence mitchell's. That may be the next guy. I mean they. They didn't car was kinda had a little bit of time in air brandon flowers. I was going to say james hasty. I mean that was that was twenty years now. But that's i think he's better second best corner of the last decade. I mean that. And i feel pretty confident saying that. Now i mean. That's pretty impressive. It's not. I mean the the chiefs cornerback. Position has been absolutely pathetic. They they i mean i mean. I guess you could say impressive. Just start. start good defenses. Try it try it names of corners. I skin can't last. The last ten years is brandon car. Even fit in the last ten years barely shocks that he fits say that's been a minute like they. Who are they roll at. Terrance mitchell was on the other side else where they rolling out at steven nelson. Oh come on. Hansie steve member. My favorite landau dude. Sean smith was good yes johnson. That's his name. He was good for them. You saw the good cop. That's a good comper for how i feel about. Julius need i feel about jerry. Need how i felt in his prime about Sean smith and i always feel sean. Smith was a too. I thought he played up to a one with the chiefs. Yeah he has. I think he had the best years of his career with the chiefs. And that was when those were those. Bob sutton defenses. That were like actually decent and we're actually competitive every year instead of getting exploited by nfl. Offenses yeah i think he did play his best years still wouldn't know a one felt like he was a strong too. And that's that's just what i feel like. The kid is. The kid is right now. I feel like we're talking about baseball. How we talk about number. One pitchers versus aces. Yeah feel like. You're looking for aces. i'm talking about a strong number one starter like that. That's what i view these guys as are. they aces. No that's where you're getting into your jalen ramsey's and The top end talent. These guys i think are legit number one starters on a good team. Yeah mike. If we're talking about like that i think he's a to starter like he's a number to start right now. Yeah i think cow gibson that has potential. Better cal keeps. He's somebody who's got all scoured cows cinemas mizzou made or but if he's if he's a number two guy that you're not going to look at it as a number one headed into the year then he's shot brilliant and bershad bruin was perfectly fine for your secondary because that's what britain is viewed as in the nfl. I'm vaccinated so for me. Not a thing okay. The thing yeah like. I should be able to. We need to work on these. These interactions where we can just confirm vaccination and then people can do stuff they used to do. Because yes that is a thing cove is still a thing but what you're saying is entering this new world where a bunch of people are vaccinated and do stuff by being improving that anyway. Yes so they won't run but you should have been like. Hey we're all vaccinated. Let's run some lines runs mine. It shouldn't be that difficult. And as long as you're backdated apparently doesn't matter anymore still weird like in my town in my little town. My lumberjack town. They haven't been wearing masks for a while. But so it's a little weird kind of walking around and seeing people you know going to walmart and all that and there's no mass but it's like you know things are getting a little little different now and that's cool. You know one day. I want us to get back to normal right. So but what is normal man. Just give accented people. It's not that difficult. What's a little five g among friends. You know come on. Unfortunately but that is the point where it's like really crappy is we're all going to get cold again like the flu comeback. Like my kid hasn't been sick with a cold. And i haven't been from him going to school and all my white like we haven't had a cold and flu in over a year and it's been lovely and then this fall when all the kids go back full-time because in portland they only went Everyone's just going to get sick again. And we're all gonna sniffly and naples yeah brandon. I'm not quite off. i'm. We're not gonna go like i know there's people that have their opinions on the stuff totaling unfold for. Yeah i mean killing wanted to be first in line so he made sure he was banks innovated and i probably would've been. I probably would've done the trials. Yeah totally on sale enough. I would do a trial just because like seems a little sketch but we believe in science guy so well yeah but like sacrifice comes at the price of science sometimes true. I wasn't willing to sacrifice my own life. Like just not love. Bill gates i. I've never really. I've never been a huge bill gates now never and now it sounds like he's really bad guy doesn't it. Isn't that like the story. I mean was going to divorce and look people don't have to be can get divorced and that's not because there are bad guy. His came out. He's like the stories about bill. "Veba Threat. Three a studio Good afternoon. I'm Holly Rowe Bershad filling in for grace. Curly today, if you'd like to be part of the conversation Hey, give us a call it 844 504 to 4 to. But as promised, we have the mighty sheriff who fights against illegal immigration. Every single day on the line with us have well, happy Memorial date of Sheriff Tom Hodgins and thank you for taking time out of your day. How are you? Thanks so much for having me on and all that. I know the families out there who lost their loved ones who sacrificed In the name of freedom problems. I just want to say thank you, and course we honor and salute all our veterans today from this son, important day of Recognition of what we as Americans have been given. How important it is that we know disgrace that by by not taking the time and recognizing what? What Their sacrifice is wrong about most definitely, Um so, sheriff. You've been in the news again. They Isis coming after you shutting down your your detention center? I mean, can they do that? Well, they've done it. But here's here's the problem with this, Holly, you know, I think everybody knows Well, now the the reputation of secretary my or kisses, you know, lack of credibility when he's Look the American people in the eye on number numerous occasions, it said, said to us while we're watching thousands pouring over the border and or drugs pouring in our neighborhood, more transnational gangs coming into our neighborhoods that Borders secure. There's no crisis here, and I can't help. But I'm always reminded of the scene in the Wizard of Oz, where you know they just pay no attention to what's behind that curtain. And that's exactly what's been done here, right And this is what this administration's about and what's really outrageous about this. How dare he? How dare he maligned my staff who have for over 20 years but doing ice detention. I'm not even talking to 87 opportunities to do program yet and over 20 years we have never ever failed any audit by the federal auditors. That are the subject matter. Experts that inspect us is least once a year, not and not the least of which happened and we had the same outcome one week before he suddenly In the flash repent. Shut down our operation with not even a full day's notice. I got a call of the 30. They take all my people's credentials away. Have people come down and that was to create an optic that really is behind the whole story. What they want to do is they want to cripple eyes break apart our partnership so that we can't maximize our ability to keep the citizens of our community safe by not releasing people. Back out into our neighborhoods that have been arrested by local police, or that ice have asked have grabbed our asked us to hold who have serious criminal histories, and then they want to just allow them right back out in the community and prevent us from I'm doing our jobs and you watch and see. And I'm telling all these listeners and then everybody out there, watch and see. This was the beginning of them trying to create an optic of a bigger agenda. They have because Number one. He owes my people in apology my staff for maligning them in a national publication number one to advance his political agenda, the president's political agenda and on top of that Which real interesting Holly. We also won the 270 program movie. We're also doing all the transportation for the air ops to New York and also for planets to be able to get their detainees because part of camp The transport part so but for the 2 87 G program way there's a There's a plaque right now sitting in the Boston office that hasn't been delivered to us yet. And on that plaque, it reads. Congratulations. And this is from DHS headquarters. Congratulations on your perfect score for your 2 80 70 audits That happened this past September, and it's not been delivered to us, and I'm guessing my office won't deliver it because it completely undermines. His false narrative. It's sadly is putting my people my county a risk The people of the Commonwealth at risk and the people of this nation at risk that otherwise wouldn't have been because we had the programs in place in the partnerships that rightfully should be there to keep citizens from being victimized once again. So with your shut down, what type of, you know Have these people been released back onto our streets? Have they been moved to another facility for being detained? Um, and what type of crimes have they committed? Should be. We'd be worried. The last seven. We heard that we no longer have, I think were transferred to other facilities number. The close to 200 that we have in custody had been released over the last. I don't know. Five months. Um, you know, by federal judge and under the under the lawsuit filed against us, my, Um uh by one of the activist organizations. At the time, saying it's too dangerous for these people to be in there, and it's Kobe. They don't think they're in custody that should be in custody. And the truth of the matter is at the time this lawsuit was filed in the judge began the case. We had no corporate cases. Had none. In that whole incident that isn't it self quarantining, right? But of course, all right. Everything. Yeah. Yeah. And this is this is the lunacy around this policy, But it's lunatic lunacy because They're trying to play us all for dummies, the law enforcement community, the citizens of our community. How do they stand down? Allow? What they know is to be an unprecedented amount of sentinel pouring into our communities now, um, unfettered because they're just allowing people to come in the cartels. 20 trails have been closed for 25 years. I've doubted the border cartels coming through with the drugs are now all being used again, and I've talked to the sheriff down there. I know a number of very well. And so what's happening is they're unraveling our ability to keep our citizens safe and my orchestra the meeting down there, Secretary Marcus said to a number of border sheriffs about almost a month ago. He said. We're gonna be revamping ice and they're gonna They're gonna basically be having a new responsibility That's gonna be he didn't say exactly what but The bottom line is This is.

New York Holly Rowe Bershad 25 years today Wizard of Oz 87 opportunities Marcus Five months 20 trails 30 over 20 years Holly DHS 2 80 70 Secretary once a year Sheriff 844 504 to 4 Boston Tom Hodgins

"I'm thinking about saving my money and preparing for what's coming. Because what's coming is awful and horrible. And you know, it would be one thing if we had a fighting Republican party, But we don't we don't they? You know, even when Republicans are in the majority, we still get a Democrat agenda, and this election was stolen and Republican sat back and didn't do anything about it. And you think those people are going to come out in droves to vote for Republicans in the midterms? They're not. They're not Holly because they know they're going to get the same agenda, no matter how they vote, And that's if their vote isn't stolen from them At the midterms, too. I hear you, Ronnie and I agree with your frustration, and that's why I actually I've been talking to candidates that our primary the 10 congressional members that that voted for impeachment, We gotta fight back. And it doesn't mean just on in November. We've got to work on these primaries to get rid of the rhinos that betrayed us. One of the best pieces of ice that I heard that Trump that God was Don't leave to go to a third party, because therefore you cannot purge the Republicans that betrayed you. And I agree with that. And look, you know, As you know, I speak out against Charlie Parker all the time. I mean, at this point, I would be happy to send him a change of registration for because I can't remember what issue I can't see any issue that he stands with Republicans on and this is coming from somebody who in 2014. He was there. With us fighting the gas tax. And then he does TC I I can't tell you how betrayed I feel. But I am not giving up And I gave up my life for that ballot question. I work 24 7 on that ballot question. And so the C baker now I mean, oh, God, it gets Yeah. Okay. Um, I want to give you a little bit more about baking hell, and then we'll come back to this after the break. But get this right. So in case you thought that Bacon Hill wasn't up there of their old tricks they have now. Okay, so they got the pay raises in January. Now they've done three new committees. And what do you get with committees? You get new chairman and you get new vice chairman so new pay positions so they created Re new committees. You cannot believe these committees Jared, Okay, advance information technology, the Internet and cyber security. That's one covert 19 an emergency preparedness. So I guess Cove it's never going away and then racial equity, civil rights and inclusion are and they're going to pay people extra for sitting on the beach chairman of these committees. I mean, this is this isn't about advancing any cause It's all about extra pay so that they can keep people in line up there on bacon Hill. And so nobody dear votes off and you get no common sense whatsoever. I'm Holly Rowe Bershad filling in for Grace, Curly. We're gonna be right back after a short break, and you won't want to miss what one of the Baker administration people had to say. You're listening to the grace Curly show. This.
