You Can't Legislate the Poor Into Prosperity...

"The poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. We are a lot of discussion right now about from the left and from others about people who make too much money. They ought to be taxed. They're not paying their fair share. Again, this is an interesting proposition because you can't legislate the poor out of poverty or into prosperity out of property. You have to set the right environment. You have to have the give them every possibility to succeed every possibility to have the opportunity to go out and earn a living, make a job or for themselves or make arno start a business. How do they want to do it? But you're not going to legislate them out. In other words, you can't use the government to say, okay, I'm going to do this and I'm going to give them so much money and it's going to take them into prosperity. That's just not the way it works. It just as much as you can't legislate wealthy out of prosperity. Because again, it's a balance in this country. And really all over the world where the world admit it or not, that the legislating of these issues is just not the proper response to it. You're not going to be able to have a government unless you're wanting to go to a government only system in which socialism that basically is just our economy to the more we all hold things and collective. This is just not going to be. But yet many times in the government, especially liberals, and especially the Democrats now, Bernie Sanders, Warren, so many foreign and others, AOC and others believe that the answer to all the problems is simply take more money out of the ridge or take more money out of the corporations. And then that would solve everybody's problem. The reality is we've seen that doesn't work. It doesn't exist. And if you ever

"But this is why we want to understand why we are where we are today. Because these people, we assumed basically are towing the line, ideologically, maybe not in everything, but you find out time and time again that you might as well have Bernie Sanders in there. It is absolutely monstrous that somebody who runs as a Republican on all of these issues is against the will of most American people, but gets away with it because there's no place to go. Until now. As Kerry Lake is running for governor. Well, and this is what we've been up against. I mean, the rhinos are just as bad as the liberals. In some ways, worse because you think they're going to do the right thing. And then you're left disappointed when they don't. And so that's why it's such a danger, but we're doing great. Our polls are showing we're up and we just have to make sure that we get out and vote August 2nd. That's when the big election is and this will be one I believe in the primary because I don't think that the Democrat running who is truly socialist Democrat has a snowball's chance in hell to win. Okay, so August 2nd is the primary. Right now you're up 20 points, but the typical thing is people say, well, she doesn't need my vote. She's up 20 points, folks. There's Some Disagreement Brewing in the J6 Committee

"There's some disagreement brewing at the J 6 committee. Apparently disagreement over whether to make a criminal referral for Trump. Now, Bernie Thompson, the chairman from Mississippi, told a reporter a couple of days ago Monday. He goes, we're not going to make a criminal referral. He goes, we're just going to tell the facts except for the Justice Department to do what they do. And immediately, there was a little mini revolt revolt coming interestingly from Liz Cheney. And from Adam Schiff, Schiff is less of a surprise. I thought we were deferring that decision until we concluded our investigation. So clearly Schiff or his trunk calls him shifty Schiff is aiming for a criminal referral. And of course, Liz Cheney marinated and kind of family hatred. You know, this is like the montagues and the capulets. She's like, you know, I gotta get this guy. I mean, just talk about, you know, it's not really a woman scorned, but this is almost like a woman's family scorned. And so got into Marshall mode, and she too says well, we haven't made a decision about these criminal referrals. Now, no U.S. president in history has been criminally prosecuted. And the idea of going after, I mean, just think about it. Not only are we talking about prosecuting a president, we're talking about prosecuting the leading figure in the Republican Party for 2024. So here you have the Biden administration and it's possible. I mean, I don't think it's likely and it's hard for me to imagine Biden running again, but the idea that Biden would criminally prosecute his potential opponent in the 2024 election. I mean, think of the implications of that.

"Anyway, I want to go to this Wall Street Journal headline that they are billing as an exclusive. We've certainly heard a lot of rumblings about Joe Biden making this decision as we get closer to the elections this fall. In this case, the headline is, Biden's student debt decision expected later this summer. Apparently, he's been kind of punting, right? Because he's getting kind of nervous because he's trying to weigh the political consequences. It would be nice if he weighed the economic ones as well. I'm going to get into that. But the political consequences could be actually perhaps unintended, right? I mean, he thinks he's doing a good thing. He's mobilizing the base. He's getting younger people like AOC's crowd and the Bernie Bros, jazzed because they may get forgiven some of their student loans, but but what about everybody else out there, right? What about everybody else? It did things, the right way, the hard way, and maybe worked a few jobs to send their kids to school script and saved everything they could over the years to send their kids to school, and then they actually get nothing here. In fact, if anything, they're on the hook for all those people that kind of you could say sort of abuse the system, right? Not that the system didn't abuse them as well. I'm going to get into that because college costs are way out of control and basically that's been self inflicted from frankly. Government policy that was intended to do one thing and wound up doing

"I want to get right to our guest. Someone who I have an amazing amount of respect for, I read basically everything he puts out. If there's an op-ed by this man, I read it. Thank you for that warm introduction. As long as you say those nice things, I'll always show up. Well, then we have a deal. So I want to talk about your piece. Democrats hold on the black community is ending, this is something that people have been talking about for a couple years. It was a wonderful piece, walk our audience through it. Well, we've been working on a project that Bernie Marcus launched back in 19 18, looking at the question of could you find an American majority that would be large enough and stable enough that you could really get the big things done we need to get this country back on the right road. And because of my background, both working with Ronald Reagan and then with the contract with America in creating the first Republican House majority in 40 years, we had sort of an instinct for how to do this. What's happened, of course, is that Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer mean, let's be fair. They all work together. They've created such a bad performance record at levels people feel. There was a brilliant article the other day by Selena zito, who's one of the great students of American politics. And she said, she was interviewing people in small towns in western Pennsylvania who said to her, look, I can't find baby formula without going to four or 5 stores. And I can't afford the gasoline to go to four or 5 stores. So Joe Biden is hitting me and every possible way. And I think what all that's doing is we have to remember, African Americans are as pocket sensitive as Latinos or Asian Americans or for that matter, caucasians. And they're looking out there that say, it ain't working.

"Charlie, this question's for you. How do we get underprivileged people out of the projects? Well, the question of how to get poor people rich isn't a mystery. It's not by giving them stuff to do nothing to proving their schools, which I'm sure we can agree on. Rebuilding the family, entrepreneurship, we know how to get poor people richer and we do the opposite. So I would agree with you that education is part of it, but I think that that's been a lot of myth making as well. I

Are White People Discriminated Against Today? Briahna Gray Explains

"Are being discriminated against today? I mean, look, I'm an old head about some of this stuff. The kids, the kids are taking us in a different direction. I think a lot of the kids today, they don't believe in that sort of thing. They believe in they don't believe in sex only education, sex segregated education. My mother went to a girls school, Jane Adams and Cleveland, Ohio, and she said that was a really good experience for her, but there's research that says it's confidence building for girls to be not competing with boys in their math class. Totally agree with sexual education. You know, a lot of people were frustrated about the integration of boy scouts, et cetera, et cetera. I was. And there's another school of thought that says, you know, if the problem fundamentally is that girls aren't able to have space in the classroom, can we get, can we address that as root instead of having to perpetuate segregation? Sex segregation in this case, in order to do it. And I'm not a sociologist that I can't say what the best way to do it. What I will say is this. I think there is a difference intent matters. And I think that historically, the reason for having race segregated housing, having a black dorm, for instance, which by the way, even though they're often black, like houses and stuff, there were also integrated all black people. Or the international. I'll give you a couple other examples, but I'll let you finish your point. So the point was that in when you're a super minority in a space, it's nice to have some place to go or you're not watching your peas and cues where you can feel like you have a sense of community the same way that international students might have a house. And maybe maybe we are past that, maybe we don't need that anymore. HBCUs now or some like 30, 40% non black, you know, they're very diverse now. So I don't know. I'm not to say that that whether or not that is necessary today. But I will say there's a difference. And I think you'd agree in saying, I want to have a space to be away from racism versus I want to keep you out of my institution because I think you're racially inferior. I think they're sinister

Briahna Gray: There's a Way to Talk About Race That Is Superficial

"But let me ask you a question, do you think the hyper focus of race in our national conversation detracts from having that kind of class based discussion? Sometimes. I think that there is a way to talk about race that is painfully superficial, and which focuses on the grievances of frankly elite minorities, more than the issues. I'm just curious. So for example, during the campaign cycle, there was a real spurt of attention directed toward the issue of the maternal maternal health gap. So the maternal mortality gap in the country means that black babies have really high mortality rates that are comparable, frankly, to some much less developed countries. The third world, sure. And people were concerned about that. And the story got highlighted in some part because Serena Williams had a very high risk pregnancy and almost died. She was complaining about pain and the doctors were ignoring her. And she ended up having some kind of deep vein from gross blood clot basically. I'm not a doctor. She has some kind of blood clot that if she hadn't really been forceful about it and gotten it checked out and if she weren't as powerful and rich and privileged as she is, she probably would have died like many women in this country do disproportionately black women in this country do die. And it's a real problem, right? As a progressive, my focus is to say, whatever the biggest determinant of an unequal health treatment in this country, a big one is that we have a two tiered system and people who are on our poverty program Medicaid tend to not be seen by high quality doctors. They tend to be ignored. They tend to move around a lot and not see the same physicians in a repeat basis. A lot of things that result in them having lower standards of care. And my solution would be to say, while I would love to sit here and give doctors diversity training and magically convince them and not be racist and pay more attention to Serena Williams or whatever. I don't really see that happening. And I don't really see that as the government's role, what we can do is make sure that everybody has a universal stained healthcare system so that doctors are disproportionately treating poor patients or stuff. But the thing about Serena Williams is to say, there are the kinds of issues that get talked about in mashable attention. Are those race issues that affect affluent black people? So in addition to everybody else, but affluent black

Is America Systemically Racist? Briahna Gray Shares Her Thoughts

"Moving to the first question since we didn't get to it. Brianna is America's systemically racist. There you go. There's systemic racism, of course, in America. There are systemic poverty. There's a lot of, look, I think we should probably start by talking about the word systemic with the worst systemic means. It means that we're not any longer talking about the realm of this person with mean to me. This person didn't give me a job because they didn't like the cut of my jib or they didn't like that I was a woman or they didn't hire me because I was primarily a number of things that go on in people's lives. Those kind of one off instances of oppression, a discrimination. Of course, exist. For people who are in members of protected classes and people who aren't members of protected classes, I could not hire you because I don't like your shirt and there's nothing to lock and do about that. But of course that would exist, but then we wouldn't call that systemic oppression if even if we would call that wrong. What we mean when we say systemic is that we have institutions in our country, whether it's something like our institution of laws, whether it's our prison system, whether it's our education system. And because we're human beings, and because we're flawed as we're putting together these systems, because there's always room to perfect the systems that we have made by our own human fallible design. There are often the same kind of biases in interest that we have are baked into those systems. And it's not about someone necessarily sitting around the Ferris leasing or I'm going to get you sucker. But the reality is when you look at the way the world is designed and outcomes aren't always indicative of a problem. But sometimes they are. And so when you see something like for instance, regardless of the race of the perpetrator, regardless of the race of the criminal. You are four times more likely to get the death penalty. If the victim is white versus that the victim is black. Now this is regardless of the person who did the killing was white or black. If you kill a white person and we're likely to get the death penalty that the black person, this is an interesting thing to think

Bernie Sanders' Press Sec. Briahna Gray Joins Charlie for a Debate

"Welcome to another episode of debate night. We're joined by founder of turning point USA Charlie Kirk and former press secretary to Bernie Sanders journalist and co host of bad faith podcast Brianna joy gray. Tonight's topic is systemic racism in America. I'll start with you, Brianna. Can you start with your opening statements, please? Sure. Well, thank you, Charlie, for the invitation. I'm glad you accepted. Look, there are a lot of things that people struggle with in this country every day. 40% of Americans even before this pandemic and the economic crisis that has accompanied it. Couldn't respond to a $400 emergency. If we think of what that means, when we think of all of the emergencies that can come up that exceed $400 in cost, whether it's making rent, whether it's a medical bill, whether it's bailing someone out of jail, you can imagine a lot of circumstances that are really life-changing. If you can't come up with that $400. And I think I just wanted to start by saying that 'cause sometimes I think the conversations that we have, especially kind of in our professional context on the Internet, where there's a lot of different incentives to talk about a lot of different things. Sometimes miss the forest for the trees. And so why I think conversations about systemic racism are ultimately important is because it's one factor among the many, the tapestries of things that are causing people not to be able to fully maximize their ability in our society. And I think people across the political spectrum talk a lot about freedom. It's one of our founding ideals as Americans. But I think often we talk about the freedom to do what we want affirmatively and not the freedoms from not the restrictions that come when you aren't able to have your basic needs met. You know, have your basic housing needs a base of food needs basic education means the things that you need to succeed. And for some quadrant, some cohort of Americans, systemic racism has been a barrier. And we need to talk about systemic racism because in a lot of people's imaginations racism exists as a bad guy and a clan's hood and these kind of stereotypes very explicitly denying people's service explicitly denying people a right to use the bathroom, the kind of racism that we understand from the

"I want to argue that with you because if they've got 5 firm votes and they know that they're going to overrule roe and Casey and they've just got to let the descents put their descent together and maybe the chief does a concurrence like he did in citizens united while joining the majority. There are lots of things that could happen. But if there are 5 votes to say we're going to overturn roe and Casey, the present danger to justices of fanatics is real. And I drove past Sunday last. The softball baseball field where the Bernie Sanders supporter stalked prepared and tried to kill half the Congress. And we have a number of fanatics in this country. And if you incentivize them to do something, like harm a justice, I just, I'm not comfortable with that. Remove the incentive. They can't change the decision once. How does releasing the vote remove the incentive? Because it's not a judgment until it issues from the court as a judgment. And so if a judge were to try his or her car off of a cliff tomorrow, by accident, the majority vanishes. They have it issued a judgment. So it can change into the last day. But that doesn't. I mean, if the vote total becomes known and it is to overturn roe and Casey, I don't think that changes. I mean, you're knowledge of the procedures of the Supreme Court exceeds that of most Americans. I think that if I had lunch yesterday with a I had lunch yesterday Republicans voted to take away a woman's right to choose.

What JD Vance's Win of the GOP Nomination in Ohio Means For the US

"I mean, this is just amazing. What we saw happening out in Ohio because JD Vance, wow, he just climbed in the polls. In the last couple of weeks, interestingly, after Donald Trump endorsed him. He did win the day out there in Ohio. He now advances to the big race in November. He's running against senator rob. Well, he's running against center Tim congressman. Tim Ryan, I should say, this is for senator rob Portman's seat, rob Portman, of course, is retiring getting out of politics. And this will be an interesting one because what I love about Ohio voters is that they really are just kind of salt of the earth and they're interested in a lot of the same things that frankly I think you and I are interested in from a policy perspective. And so it will be extremely interesting to watch. I should point out that Tim Ryan, he has a history of being pretty tough on China. He is a history for standing up for the American people on the jobs front. He's very anti inflation. I mean, he's got a lot of values that are somewhat aligned with a lot of the conservative values, not all of them, for sure. Not all of them. But that's why it's going to be so interesting because he's not an AOC type. He's not a Bernie Sanders type is not Elizabeth Warren type. He kind of didn't fit in entirely perfectly to the Democrat party. So now he's running against somebody who is really the antithesis of everything that the Democrats stand for. And that'll be a very interesting barometer to see where that heads for us as a nation. Don't forget, this Vance victory is seen as a Trump victory because Trump endorsed him and it really could spell some pretty good news for Trump endorsed candidates. I think in other upcoming primaries, including what we're seeing in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Georgia, all over the country,

They push the gurney down the hallway and winds pushing burning out the window into into the trash below henry. And then i thought this whole scene was totally unnecessary. Because they had to get him out of the morgue sure but he just winds back in the morgue anyway so they need to take him out of the morgue in order to put the spell on him so he could start walking around but then he needs to be back in the morgue for richie larry to take him because there would be no reason for them to suspect him to be anywhere else but the mark. Okay yeah it. It seemed weird to me that they went. Got him out of the morgue and then he just winds up back in the morgue anyway. I knew two different sets of people need to get him. I just thought it was such a roundabout way of doing it. But i guess it makes sense because they have to do the voodoo on them. Yeah it is narrative lee kind of a circle but there is a reason why it is okay and it also told you how terrible this quote unquote city morgue was in terms of keeping track of bodies yeah people are just walking in and it's like a revolving door. Everybody is so incompetent not not even in new york but virgin islands when later on when they're getting the safety deposit box it's basically it. This movie revolves on bunny logic. Yeah where bugs. Bunny dresses up as somebody. Oh it's that person off all of a sudden magically. It's it's now elmer fudd. Yeah it's again. It's the nineties. So obviously alvin more slapsticky but oh my goodness you remember the little rascals movie were three kids in trenchcoat going to the bank to try and get a loan about as convincing is that sanity. There's a point coming up later tonight with you guys. I'll tease the audience a little bit. I'm deceive you caught something that i didn't henry charleston take bernie to times square porno theater and they decide to do ritual in the bathroom up..

"More anxious and upset that a lot of the other priorities they had are just meeting this wall in the senate and that at that point come september end of september october. Then progressives may finally start to say okay. We're not just going to sit here anymore. And and quietly support your presidency. They may go out there more aggressively in their opposition. To how biden is managing his priorities his agenda and how he's working with congress because a lot of them. You already seen little cracks of it from their view. They don't think he's fighting tooth and nail for voting rights and they don't understand why he isn't and so after infrastructure is done does freedom caucus of the left pop up because they're so angry that these other priorities aren't passing. Maybe i don't think sanders would be the leader of it. I think sanders is going to continue to throughout biden's presidency work alongside him campaign alongside him if he gets this big reconciliation. Bill passed through. He's going to become you. Know this campaigner in chief is faz said to us. He said you're going to see sanders if they get this passed. He's going to go out there again on the campaign trail heading into twenty twenty two heading into twenty twenty four making sure that voters understand that democrats pass this for them and that they get credit for it because right now there's some polling that suggests that democrats and biden are not getting credit for the stimulus package that they pass the beginning of the year and voters aren't necessarily associating them with the child tax credit benefit that just started hitting a lot of families bank accounts and so if they aren't giving democrats credit how democrats expect to do well in twenty to do well in two thousand four so sanders sees his role going back to campaigner but not someone who's going to be battling biden while he's out there on the campaign trail that's actually really interesting because you know sanders has long been a favorite target of republicans who loved their favorite attack on democrats. Is you know. This is the party of socialism. And you know look at the bernie sanders democrats bernie. Sanders may not have won the last presidential primary but on the democratic side. It sure looks like his socialist. Philosophy is one ignore. I mean number one. Do you think that you know they're going to have to rethink that strategy. Because of his position right now and number two. If he's going out there campaigning. Are we seeing also shifting the democrats to where they're going to be more likely to embrace you know his message. Yeah i think that sanders and biden have similar messages although very different ways of going about how to get them faz mention this. Which is that during the campaign. When you heard biden in talk about lifting up the working class and lifting up the middle class and talking about biden and biden has more and more done this talking about making corporations.

"To try to protect you know Bernie is home sick today is going to be fine I'll be back on Monday I think you know the guys at W. what they and those guys are doing the show from home once I'm always going to show from home in this process I guess it will do the show from home but no I'm still taking the one train every morning back and forth among the subway every single day and I'm here in the studios and I'm here for you folks I'm gonna be able to paycheck don't get me wrong I need the money what does what kind of a kind of like the fact that Bernie and I have become the voice of New York and a lot of folks that really want the truth about what's going on and not all the nonsense the media gives you comes to us so we will put the phones this segment one eight hundred eight four eight W. A. B. C. one eight hundred eight four eight ninety two twenty two but this story coming out of the MBA the Brooklyn nets who play their home games right here in pop up shop in Brooklyn turns out that the four of their players have corona virus including the major superstar Kevin Durant excuse me was not played a minute of basketball this year he came here from Golden State with a serious ACL injury he was expected and has sent out this entire season and they expect them back next year in two thousand twenty two thousand twenty one to lead the nets along with Kyra Irving to the promised land well it turns out that the wind travels with the team even though he's not playing any contracted the virus but last week it was hanging out with Drake so now Drake the superstore herself quarantined himself now for two weeks so the kids in this country doing a really bad job these are millennial chuckles they're doing a really bad job they go to the beach are not supposed to the party not supposed to and the really making like dangerous for everybody else and for some reason the Surgeon General I tried this who by the way is a very bright guy he's a great Surgeon General the Surgeon General Jerome Adams believe it or not is reaching out to pick the next star Kevin Durant to speak to some of these kids and really emphasize how dangerous this viruses I have a fifteen and a fourteen year old and the more I tell them not to do something the more they want to do it what I really think we need to do is get our our influencers out Kevin Durant Donovan Mitchell we need to get Kylie Jenner we need to get our social media influencers out there and and helping folks understand that look this is serious this is absolutely serious people are dying one more note from politics to that's still going on you know of course Bernie Sanders is still in the race always talking about reassessing his campaign dropping out anytime now Joe Biden is killing him the last couple Tuesdays between super Tuesday in the clean sweep a couple nights ago in Florida Arizona and Illinois it's Joe Biden all the time but believe it or not there was a third person still in the race did you know that yes there was it was actually Joe Biden Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard finally mercifully told he called it quits yesterday today I'm suspending my presidential campaign and offering my full support to vice president Joe Biden in his quest to bring our country together although I may not agree with the vice president on every issue I know that he has a good heart and he's motivated by his love for our country and the American people I'm confident that he will lead our country guided by the spirit of aloha all right there it is a little one in there for you so it will be Joe Biden versus president Donald Trump come November election will be on time everything else is not everything else is either postponed or canceled and Bernie it I love her to death and he's a great friend and it's really shown here today by him staying home because he thought about me and my family but he has been way too optimistic about this I mean this thing's gonna last months not weeks I'm sorry I just don't see it you don't know nobody's going back to school the end of April schools that don't trust me the Metropolitan Opera was supposed to resume may night they don't cancel the season even there is a you know the big summit the economy June ninth president Donald Trump has informed world leaders to deal with by teleconference this is June folks two nights they've already said teleconference not gonna show up these world leaders so this I'm going to wait a couple weeks to make it worse you know not to sound like mayor bill de Blasio but they have in fact with the state of California in a lockdown and even though governor Cuomo has been adamant adamant that New York City will not have to go through shelter in place I don't know if that's going to be true that may change anyway here is a Jonathan in Pennsylvania online six good morning Jonathan good morning today from here from Texas man me and my wife just moved up the northeast elements are you we are happy to hear conservative voice on the recording thank you John we appreciate you listening what's what's going on this morning well my question for you says the Koran is do you think that this is going to set precedence for every outbreak that we have in the future you think it's gonna be locked down so they're in place to with your comments well the older so nervous about everything you know but you can expect this every single time yeah I mean I don't think so I'm hoping that this time we kind of learn what to do including by the way coming up with some back scenes that may help us down the road but learn what to do so as not to be so recorded a drastic next time because it is really hurting this country I know that you don't go into a coma for example yesterday waived mortgage payments four point two people for ninety days Donald Trump and the federal government a trillion dollar package going to some thousand dollar checks to Americans not mind you a thousand dollars to a guy in I don't know John Pennsylvania that's that's okay a thousand dollars to someone living in New York City I think the last week hello they're not gonna make different provisions for where you live and they probably should but they're not going to so there are people out there at the state and federal level they're not trying to help but the truth is is disastrous I mean ten thousand people fired already this week the restaurant business may never come back thanks I read something on George this morning that was very scary even when they re open which could be months away who knows it'll never be the same never and there will be people that will still be nervous to go back to restaurants even when they open the stock market we know how to you know was up yesterday a couple of points but for the first time in three years yesterday morning it began the day less than twenty thousand so the economic impact this is having not just here in the United States but globally is disastrous don't minimize it disastrous even folks like you and I who boasting Donald Trump on the great economy we've lost tons of money in a four oh one K.'s one eight hundred eight four eight W. A. B. C. one eight hundred eight four eight ninety two twenty two.

I brought this up the other day and I'm GonNa Bring it up today because I think it's a great point and I wanted the. Lsi What we're going to be on Hannity about Biden but it was about the Wuhan virus instead. I wanted to bring this up in a national setting last night. I'll bring it up now again because it's important remember. No Democrats are defending Joe Biden. Nobody talks about how Great Biden indicated. Nobody finding quotes. They all they do is tell you what Joe Biden isn't. That is the hallmark of a trouble deeply troubled campaign and the candidate that represents it at the top of the candidate of the campaign. Totem Pole. Nobody read all the quotes about Biden. Well at least he's not Bernie Sanders the other Democrats well at least he's not donald trump. Nobody Defenses Sky Kinda of chatting again before the show and I brought them this morning to Paula. I said can you imagine by none of debate? Stage WITH TRUMP folks. It is going to be a disaster. I'm not predicting the outcome of the election things change. We don't know what's going to happen. We saw the one virus. Come out of nowhere. Things change overnight. I'm simply suggesting to you. That acting as Bernie Sanders was you know was a far worse candidate than this magical created in like a captain. America's Super Serum Lab candidate. Joe Biden is insane. Nobody ever says anything. Good about Biden. They only tell you about how bad he is. Do you recall any of that? Would Reagan with trump with Democrats. When they spoke about Obama. Talked about Obama like he was the second coming. Nobody does that with Biden. He weak showing you. How weak he is. Here's another headline from the Washington. Examiner James Clyburn representatives from South Carolina. Who saved the Biden campaign by endorsing him and giving him some clout in the black community in South Carolina which gave a momentum? Jim Clyburn who supposedly loves. Obama Headline Caitlyn like Washington examiner. Jim Clyburn Cancel Future Democratic debates folks. They want this guy out of the public is so badly that they're now even the racist competitive folks. Despite what you've heard the race is not over for Bernie. He has close to six hundred delegates. He still running competitively and remember what I said yesterday in the show. Even though we lost a lot of these states he was very competitive in some of them. He got crushed in some southern states. But the Democrats don't have a winner lose delegate allocation process. Would you win the primary? You get all the delegates. That's not the way the Democrats have set up their process. Their processes proportional Bernie got forty percent of the vote. He gets roughly forty percent of the delegates. How you lose matters. He's been losing relatively competitively meaning. He still racking up delegates. It is not over but clyburn and the Democrats who are having Joe Biden out early. Due seven minutes some speeches stump speeches seven and Joe Biden at seven seven minutes stump speeches. You believe that now. Joe Johann Radio for a long time you do. You can't. That's how I met you. You don't even do seven-minute appearances on on brief. Talk Radio Segments. You stay a good candidate folks. They are hiding this guy. They want him off the debate stage. They don't want him talking in public. He is a mess. It's a total disaster and everybody knows it now processes for a minute and he is seventy seven years old now and showing clear signs of not being up to the job. Can you imagine for years? How bad this is going to be. Don't tell me I'm not gonNA be frightened away by politico and the left-wing Media. It's not fair to discuss his mental state really. Well you're the same lunatics who thought John McCain was crazy. Yeah I was following twitter. I was GONNA put it up on the show. Go headlines from left-wing outlets John McCain signs. These losing his mind. Donald trump the twenty-fifth amendment. Please spare US your garbage. We're not interested move along. We will discuss whatever we want. And Joe Biden's mental state is a fair topic of discussion for the man is going to be the commander in chief of the most powerful military in the history of humankind period. Full Stop. Thank you have a Nice Day. He is not up for the job. The Democrats know this humanity if he gets reelected you're going to be talking about a guy in his mid eighties. Who had seventy seven is shown no ability whatsoever to handle the campaign trail? You doubt me. You probably saw this video yesterday. I don't like to play stuff that saturates cable news but it's important in light of some of you may have missed it. Here's a video of Joe Biden with a union worker in Michigan Verbally. A costing the guy and by news. The weakest candidate out there physically and mentally this point. Why is he always threatening? People with like violent. Yeah it's folks. It's sad as a guy who practices violence often through mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu only to avoid it seriously. Anyone who knows me no? I'm not in any way I'm a big teddy bear. I only practice that so I won't get attacked and I can protect my family. What is Joe Biden? It's seventy seven constantly at. I'll take you outside the other guy remember the other guy. What months ago. Challenge you to a push up contest. They come on there. I'll take trump outside dude. Please cut the silly. It's stupid and the fakes. Tough guys in the world are always the ones who talk about being tough guys the Moat Zip Itcho. It's embarrassing here's Joe. You probably saw this but again. "Interested in you. Tell us all this great. We're here and it's the podcast would just a new year starting so tell us while. We're all the BBC in London. It's very exciting actually. Because we're actually going on the one show to talk about the new series of crackerjack which obviously you know a lot about is you're on a number of years and yeah we bring getting back on a hundred come out. Your central exit went when you said exhorted Exxon excellent exciting team hundred you too. I mean so me amount. Uh on a talent show called pop idol sixteen years ago so we were seeing is originally But we we got great bungle became friends and we put together as a jewel after it released a couple of singles but we fell into present in by accident and have never looked back story. A when was that true talents. He says three three. Yeah so things are really when you you think of your journey from two thousand and three for all the all the things you accomplish and you got all insisting that you want to be part of my podcast. It's the they see this is it. Would it go wrong now. It'll boils down to this man. I'm telling you okay. Well listen. I'm very thrilled to me. Thanks for a moment. I've gotta go out my principal Caros waiting something. Great to be on Bernie Clifton Park I. I don't want to put words. But he is is great to be burning this podcast. It's an honor and a privilege. Thank you very much I actually did but the words and you make a massively. They'll be okay and to to my listener but Wallis once a month in a phone box in Sheffield okay and I actually read books station all right and just ring the number and they all answer. I wish you all that you do. Thank you thank you for your time. Wonderful Salmon mark the new presenters of the new series of cracker. Jack and I encourage anyone who hasn't seen the new series finding on the on the on the and I play it'll be streamed is on. CBC and of course there is no Friday. It's five to five it's crackerjack anymore because everyone's streaming and listening different. I'm watching a different times on the of course I mean cracker Jack. Was it just a great show but aw kind of like a product of very different time in the sense that when the world stopped a Friday afternoon and everyone finish work can have family sat down together. Gather with one screen in the house and enjoyed that so it was. It became very traditional. And how you know that was the big kind of like cabaret family. Entertainment payment sort of show that. How do you think crackerjack returning will fare in an inner in an age that so different I think come I think crackdown do really well from what I've seen the opening episode because it was out and out variety the production values were very very high? And I think when I when I do pantomime I worked two families. People want spectacle people can see on the screen almost anything whereas whereas in terms of watching crackerjack on the screen. I think that'd be mightily impressed in the opening episode of which we were part there was a fire. Iraq like a Circus Act. The went truly quist. There were sketches. The it was right across the board it was out out variety and I think there's a generation honoration of people that haven't been served. Well then what television house to offer which is out and out variety. They've been starved. Thyolo bear the hasn't been scratched or they just you start another. They've got the edge. And I think I think crackerjack will will fill that void so you think they would just punch through anyway. It's it's entertainment. It's great great entertainment and I think I think families will love grindstone will always find a home. So what if you got next one of the great things about my business as the fact that when you meet somebody that you've you I met thirty forty years ago and you haven't seen the for ten years it's inches if it was a week ago. It's as if you'd never been apart you can pick cope in September sheer on the seafront at Eastbourne born. I met my old buddy hilary. O'Neil you listening Bernie Clifton podcasts. Her long-time Hilary O'Neil here on the C.. From an expert on a beautiful fourth beautiful sunny afternoon I can see the person on the other side just taking the hubcaps off. This season A little bit less work as a stand up comedian and impressionist on. Sing a purely for two reasons. I've now got into management looking after people's acts and and I was looking off to my mom a little bit more because She she needs me a bit but it's actually a little bit of pilots into my life. I think the businesses fantastic. I still feel the great about what I do. I love the comedy more than anything. A NEW WE'RE INSTRUMENTALISTS DOT meal off did Panther together in some seasons way back eighty one one thousand four and I told you I think I'd like to be an act. How do you become an act and you singlehandedly? Got Me started in the mentality to develop so you could say that I was instrumental. Made me say again. But I won't say say solution what well also mental mental as Stroke Mental Ism instruct the togetherness gentleman's Lewis told me about this new monitoring. This is exciting so seeing things aside and talking money for for your actors is fantastic. He is a nineteen year old comedy. Ventriloquist I can you say that. What can I say instruments but I can save an internal quest because you're moving you look at six days and stringent and his name is Max Fulham and I'm so excited? I introduced him when he was seventeen years old. The visceral brighten. It was put on a show bill by a producer USA who'd seen snapshot of Him on Youtube. Like this young kid just compet and said that I wanted to give him a break. said wonderful introduced him stood in the wings. Awesome thought right. Let's see what this kid does. He stormed his spot on. I remember thinking you know funny enough. We're sitting here eastern on the front here looking at the pair in no. There's machines that you put a pound of something. The grabber for Toyota answer to picks it up and it never succeeds really like but that's mentally what I did with my my brain and Mike Sue my imaginary arm. It's like he is money. It was a defining moment. I haven't felt so excited about seeing somebody. The I knew I had to have a wanted to work with him. I liked him since. Then we've worked together for two years and I've got loads of work doc. The goodwill is coming full generally. How good is his Gordon showing housing nine hundred thousand. The world is he's adorable adorable Bernie. He's got almost the same brain I've been in the business forty one years. You've been in a little bit longer. But he's got our mentality now because he he reads he's watched he's learned.

I grew up in a working class home. my father worked very very hard but he never made a whole lot of money and we lived in a rent controlled three and a half room apartment in Brooklyn New York. That's where I grew up and went. Did Your Dad do it was a paint seldom sold paint burke for a company went out every day and he sold paint and he made a living but you never made a lot of money and my mother had dreams dreams of someday owning her own home kind of the American dream she died young never achieved that dream so the pressure of not having a lot of money the stress on a family of not having a lot of money. is something that had a profound impact on me as a child in something that has carried with me and shape my political views and I'm gonNA. I'm actually stop you. Can you tell me for you back then. When you say as a kid who didn't have money what did that look like Taiwan. Look like it looked like that. You went out and sometimes you wore your brothers coat because the family couldn't afford to buy your new code it meant that I was a ball player played a lot of bull so some kids will get fancy sneakers. We got the cheapest thinks. Some kids got really nice baseball gloves. We got kind of low end baseball gloves it means that I remember like it was yesterday. leather jackets were in style when I was a kid and New York City and I desperately wanted a damn jacket with a for Colorado flogging for for callers bomber kind that's exactly and this is true story. My mother said Bernie you okay you want to do this. We went to ten different stores doors in Brooklyn. We're GONNA train. We went to Manhattan to look for the cheapest leather jacket that weekend and the irony of it is we ended up buying. We've started back in Brooklyn but you know I remember what it means is being yelled at by my mother cause. She said go out. You got to go out and give his list of things you've got to bite the ropes else restore and I made a mistake I went to the grocery store and I paid more than I should've was more expensive slow and she was upset about it. So those are the things you look back. It was just the you know money money money in the lack of money and it created tension in the house so that was the one that's shaped me and to a large degree shake my political. I think a lot of people in politics who don't understand what it means to live paycheck to paycheck and half of the American people are doing that right now and the second thing that shape me is the son of an immigrant is the fact that my father came from Poland as a high school dropout couldn't speak a word English had no money and he fled both poverty in Poland as well as anti Semitism and the rest of the family that remained in Poland Holden was wiped out by Hitler and a few years ago and it was about three or four years ago now my brother and I am wives went back to the town in a little town outside of Krakow and was a very moving experience but you know you quickly become immersed in politics when you understand that a politician elected nearly thirties by the German people Nazi party was able to wipe out out millions of Jews and others so you know that the Holocaust that a profound impact on me as well and so I ask you now actually actually in this particular moment and this is the dicey stuff right win. How do you feel about people drawing connections insane. We have concentration -centration camps in the United States of America. I mean the other day on my twitter. Somebody said we're not gassing people but we're sending people back to their shore death. Are Should we be making making these connections and I think the connections that you want to make is that we have a president who is playing on the most base instincts up people in other words. You matty isn't a lot of trouble you know and either we played our angels and we try to bring people together and say hey the color of your skin's different than mine so what your religion is different than mine so what or else we say oh my. God that person is a Muslim as long as that person. Is this person that we supposed to hate those people. They're very different than than the wheel and you've got a president who is quite intentionally trying to do that. and you see the cruelty so let's talk a little bit about immigration you talk about comprehensive immigration reform so laid laid out for me. What's your vision. I mean much vision. If you were President Okay what would you do. We will have a bill we would work with members of Congress and I kinda think you know I. I want everybody to know that especially people immigrant community. Donald Trump does not speak for the American people the majority of the American people understand that he is totally crazy when he talks about throwing millions of people out of this country not only because aside is discussing an ugly unto itself but what happened to destroy the American economy if you did that and what the American people want you know and there are nuanced the differences that's true but with the American people say he was wet eleven million undocumented people in this country and we got to figure out a path toward comprehensive immigration reform perform meaning a path towards citizenship exactly. What does it look like an up to argue about that one but I think that is the goal the first of all right now I was in Los Angeles last last month and talking to some teachers in schools where most of the kids are undocumented and the teachers were telling me that these kids are living in trauma living incredible stress plus imagine worrying when you came home from school you know they had been raised from. Isis something like that and you're going to be the border. That's that's how people a living so. Many people are living so what we do. Is We have comprehensive immigration reform any path toward citizenship. We appreciate the hard work and the taxes axes with so many people document that a pain in this country on the first day we can undo the damage that trump did in terms of taking away the legal status of people people in the DACA program the one point eight million people eligible we expand Daca to cover parents as well and then we develop a humane policy on the border which certainly means you don't separate mothers and kids and you develop an asylum process which is based on international law and which expedites claims not does what we're doing right now so would you would you call for a halt on all deportations for example except for those who may be have criminal records in general yes but what what kind of criminal records serious traffic ticket but the problem. Senator Sanders is that a lot of Democrats continued eighteen you to have this kind of well. We're only going to deport serious criminals and frankly that was what Obama was saying that it was when Bush was saying but you know the agents on the ground are the ones that's why I'm pressing on this question of. Would you be prepared to do a complete halt to all deportations because it it's just gotten so out of control that the only way to do this is to say wait. We'll have very different people in charge of Homeland Security and in charge of the appropriate agencies these people who was we would we will end. I what I will tell you. Maria is we will end. The ice rates which are terrorizing so many communities around the country right now would you there is the notion of abolishing is do you think are you know instead easier. You could say abolish. Polish is but you know what so you can have. Another organization raging does exactly the same thing so to me. It's not abolishing ice but it's abolishing what Isis doing so asking me. Would we stop those rates. We surely will and we need major reform of the agencies and how they deal with the undocumented okay so what about saying the Department of Homeland Security was created out of what happened on September eleventh and voted against the bug away for a variety of reasons. Why would you be prepared to say we have to deconstruct the Department of reorganize a deconstructed news. Whatever word you want the answer's yes so so recently Senator Sanders. I'm going to quote you. You said in regards to open borders. You said quote if you simply open the borders you'd have people from Vietnam. I'm in China in Mexico and Latin America coming in. No one thinks that is a plausible approach can you can you talk to me a little bit more about that statement. We we lived now. In a world of nation states we live in the United States of America north of US Canada south of US Mexico Latin America Central America and when you have if you have nation states nuts where we are right now and I believe in a nation state I believe in the United States of America if you simply he said that there are no borders essentially that anybody from China Vietnam or any country around the world candidate any country around the world wants to come in you will likely have many many many people coming in so I think what every country on earth does right now is. They have rules regarding immigration. That's all that I'm saying that's all Canada. Does it China does it. Mexico doesn't every country does I mean Canadians have a generous immigration policy but the doors are not open to anybody at any time. I happen to think that the concept of a wall is stupid for a number of reasons. I think it's an ugly symbol to send to the world and it's a very expensive way to protect the border Bernie. Do you think that you're prepared to say 'cause one of the things that in in my prep for the interview I spoke to a lot of people bowl kind of a Bernie and it's like look when Bernie was out there in Vermont as the first socialist people were like this was a phenomenon. This was a huge huge deal and you focused on Vermont as a congressman as a senator wardrobe. That's your job and so then the notion of some of the earlier position position you took on immigration Would you say that you have definitely learned thought about some of the processes in which you've understood immigration in an immigrant workers in the past. I mean there have been people. Torching are should tell you he's talking to somebody who hide on seven eight years ago. I think it was went to immokalee Florida. You know growing Moccoli it. Maybe that's right and I work with organizers. There was some success we ought to hearing in Washington to raise the wages of those undocumented workers who were really being exploited a ruthlessly and one of the issues that we don't talk about when we talk about immigrants is the degree to which employers take advantage of people who cannot complain that they're being tade less than the minimum wage whether they have no health care whether the housing that they have is inadequate whether the being exploited on the job so yeah. I would hope that I learn. I hope that I learn every day about immigration about a lot of other things and one of the issues that we're working on is trying to pass a medicare for all single payer system which.

"This is look. Let's say you just thought morally speaking. Let's say you took any any of this bernie sanders shit and <hes> or any of this john roles even john rolls contradicted himself when he talked about international you know <hes> international woah issues but let's say you took the the logic of what he was saying on a national basis bernie sanders and applied it to the world and went. Oh wait you know what i completely agree with. The idea that inequality is a moral issue and i completely agree with the idea that people who have more should be forced through the state to give to people who have less and therefore. I think everyone in america has to give away ninety five percent of what they have to the third world which by the way is. I think it's very consistent with that whole line of thinking to go okay well. You think the rich here have to help the poor here but you know at the poor here are better off than the porn fuck in central africa and asia and all other parts of the world so i'm gonna say we have to tax everyone upper middle and lower class people in america and send all that money to central africa. We're going to do that now. You could whether you justify that position. Listen morally or you're against the position morally right like some. I really think it would be quite easy for somebody. Who's bernie sanders supporter. How could you not justify by that in a way. I actually don't. I still haven't heard an argument against that. That was satisfactory. Roles is argument was ridiculous. He was like well different nations act in different ways. That's okay okay so you're justifying the redistribution here but not there. It makes no sense. Tom woods made this famous video whereas like the one question bernie sanders cancer and it was basically this. Why shouldn't we redistribute. I'll be darned money to the rest of the world but let's say there was somebody who you could make the argument. I think we should like a bernie sanders supporter. Yes that's consistent with our logic and then someone like me or are you make the opposite argument and be like well. No people have a right to what they've they've worked for. You don't have a right to steal it from them. And what we really should do is teach the third world how to do what we he did say hey. Here's the blueprint that we followed. If you wanna follow it be our guests and then you can be wealthy to however whatever your philosophical view is in reality you would have to realize that there will be a bloody civil war before you implement that policy right before you get everyone in america to give up ninety five percent of what they have and go back to living a fucking lifestyle that no one in this country has lived since eighteen ninety. The people are going to be like <hes> no. I'll fuck and start shooting people before that. I know i would so like this. Will there would be a bloody civil war or a revolution before you ever got to this point and that's the truth with a with bernie sanders green new deal with a._f._c.'s green new deal with all this climate change i. I think it's all based off a fear mongering of of this thing. That isn't even real not to say that. There's no such thing i i'm not. I'm not convinced that man made did you know like like that. Manmade derived carbon emissions don't have some impact on on the climate. I don't know if that's true or not. <hes> quite possibly it is but it's not our species isn't a bad to go extinct. None of these like fucking crazy predictions are accurate and this plan plan and here's the crazy thing. Maybe this will be the final thought but this is the thing that's really really the most insane is that even if you believed the the most pessimistic of all the predictions okay and even if you understand by the way that this is a real sacrifice. This isn't just will pay for itself right so even if you thought that the species go extinct..

"Man. This is a dollar cheaper and this is two dollars cheaper and this is cheaper and this is cheaper. You go to the liquor store. Everything's cheaper whatever you do anything. Can you do there. It's going to be cheaper whether you're buying a lamp or groceries or gasoline like everything's cheaper now that is is and we all know this because the rents higher in new york right so the rents higher for grocery store do they charge cheaper price for their product the same price or more expensive price. I mean just look at it like he. Actually no. I mean it's like right so it's obvious that if their costs are higher they have to raise their prices to accommodate for that so whether it's rent or a bernie sanders fee it doesn't matter they're gonna pass those costs onto the customer if they don't have those costs. They won't pass them onto the customer. That's that you know. You can just have this model rigor well. They'll just be so greedy. They'll pass the cost on anywhere. It's like and then we'll get undercut by a competitor. You're so no but if if you pass these taxes the idea that this isn't going to cost people anything it's like no this doesn't pay for anything anything this pays for zero. This is just come on this is going to be passed right along to you and it's just gonna mean people paying more for their their. Their energy needs all around the boards going to cause people more to fill up a tank gas. It's going to cause people more to heat their homes. All of the things you use fossil fuels for you're going to end up causing causing you more so that's the other thing bernie sanders says and this one just really i don't know foof. This is probably my favorite but that he says that it's going to create. I believe the number was twenty million jobs. Let me make sure <hes> mm yes. He says that it's going to create twenty million jobs and this is part of how it's going to pay for itself you see because they'll be twenty million jobs created and therefore the taxes from those new twenty million jobs. You gotta count that those they're all new taxes now of course forget the fact that none of these numbers are going to add up to the sixteen trillion dollars that this plant but the idea that the government can just create create jobs and then those taxes will pay off what the government is spending. I mean this is just i just i challenged people please. I just think this through just remove yourself from whatever political ideology you have and think this through like a human being okay now first of of all just just and this is what things i loved about. Austrian economists is that they just give you a lot of times if you read my rothbart. If you listen to bob murphy or you listen listen any of like a good austrian economists. They'll give you kind of thought experiments and ways to think about things that you go. Oh yeah that's a you know. It's like so the government the idea that the government can just create jobs. It's like okay yes in some sense they can but then really couldn't we just always zero percent unemployment right. I mean the government can just give everybody a job. Let's just sign a law tomorrow. Everyone's got a job economy fixed. Why are we even like like wh- you know but then you go you know. The soviet union had zero percent unemployment. Everyone had a government job and the economy collapsed and not only do the economy collapsed but like the economy collapsed after like multiple you know like famines and people starving starving and they really really not a good economy right so the fact that the government can just give you a job. It's like okay but that doesn't really do anything right. I mean if we just fucking if we just drafted everybody into the army tomorrow right right. Let's just say everyone's drafted into the military now. Leave aside the moral issue of the fact that you're like. Oh i have to be a part of the military and i don't wanna do that but whatever everyone's drafted drafted into the military..

"We need to roll back the state. We spy on all of our own citizens. Our prisons are flooded with non violent drug offenders. If you wanna know who america's next enemy look at who were funding right now. One of these problems are open government doing way too big the hello hello what's going on. Everybody welcome to a brand new episode of part of the problem. Of course i am the most consistent mother fucker you know dave smith and as always i'm joined by robbie the fire bernstein king of the cox. I wish it would incur at the beginning of the episode. I mean it sets a bad town. We're we're we're supposed to be one of the leading christian conservative podcasts and just to say same motherfucker right up at the front. It's gonna offend some people viewing. You're probably right but let me ask you this sure. Is it consistent. It's definitely consists alright. Then i rest my case sir sir i rest my case. I am the most consistent motherfucking christian conservative union and if people can't handle that then they're going to have to deal with that so i was thinking rob yes <hes> for today's show. I thought we might do one of these episodes where we hone in on one topic and we talk. Maybe it toward the end. We'll we'll throw a couple other important topic well. It warned it's it's a good one okay and it is rob's male pattern balding uh-huh. That's really deal with this. You're gonna wear hats or are you going to shave down. What's the plan going. No i'm kidding. I mean that is the biggest concern of the fans. If you look the youtube youtube comments seem to be laser focused on that issue but you know bro. I think you look good. They get too worked up about it. I've moved on it. Did them problem at this point. Yeah your problem is just to the have the right sandwich bread your local bodega problem yeah no. That's not the topic the topic that i wanted to talk about today involved <hes> our favorite political candidate bernie sanders who of course that's not that was not my best bernie sanders impression <hes> but bernie sanders yesterday unveiled a new a new proposal and it is bernie sanders green a new deal. It's his version of the green new deal which he was a cosponsor but you know this back even greener this even this time back with a vengeance even greener and he he you know he.
