"Wanted to put butler in the LeBron spot. I couldn't get there. The Lakers finished 32 and 50. There were 25 and 31 when he played. He missed 26 games. His plus 3.4 on off, there's historical stuff where it's like, the players, here's the complete list of players who missed at least 23 games on a losing team and made all MBA since the merger. Pete marriage, 1978, he made first team for some reason he missed 32 games. They still don't understand it. Bernard king 1985 made first team deserved a 33 game was an absolute tornado. And then Kevin loves second team 2012. He missed 23 games. And he made it. The list of players that have missed at least 23 games have made first second third team. It's less than 15. So curry did it recently in 2018. Ben warbeck did some good stuff on Yahoo about this. He said, basically players who played 50 plus games for a legitimately bad team, like 40% record or worse for winning, had a vintage season. It's really on the algebra Baylor in 1960. Will Chamberlain 63. Kevin Garnett and Dwayne Wade, both 2007. So I think it has to be a famous player having a really good season and he qualifies. And it's like, should there be a little cache for being LeBron James? Yeah, maybe there should be. But I don't feel great about it. Okay, but do you still think he's one of the 15 best players? I do. Well, do I think he's one of the 15 impactful guys that we watched this season? Yes. Yeah. I think it's okay. I think it's okay with all NBA to, and I'm not talking like it's some career achievement thing. But I think when you watch a full season of games and you go, do I really want to put 15 guys that had a LeBron? I didn't want to do that. I did this. I was like, all right, I'm going to switch LeBron and siakam. Are the raptors worse or better or the Lakers were better? Raptors are probably a little bit better. I'm going to switch butler and LeBron this year from what we saw. This is Miami better. Yeah, probably. Probably a couple of games better. So you start thinking that way, you're like, all right, what are we doing? I don't like the fact that I just, I didn't think I went to those four games. That's what I couldn't shake out of my head. Watching the guy leave timeouts, just walk as far away from his team as he possibly could. He wanted to get out of that season. From February. He just did. You could see it if you went to the games. And he was looking for his own stuff and that's fine. I don't blame him because he's playing with Russell Westbrook and a bunch of washed up guys. But he's also partly the reason they were there. Yeah. Yeah. But you have to, whatever your rules are, you end up bending them, if not breaking them at times, to get to your 15. And next year. In 2019, and I think that was the right move. I think he made it 13 MBA in 2019, but I voted for. C acumen Aldridge. We were both by the way. Speaking of the Lakers, they avoided 50 losses with that wind tonight against Denver. They sure did. Right. So Vogel just moments ago, his quote about whether or not he's been informed that he's been fired his quote was I haven't been told shit. Amazing. Did magic fire him? Magic's gonna be our first take tomorrow, being like, well, I hit up Frank, but I have his old number. So we're gonna try to talk with him today. I loved, I love that thing you did. About magic how he keeps resurfacing. Well, TV, I know who calls him. I know how it goes. Right, and I don't blame anyone from ESPN going, do you want to come on the show and cause a fucking ruckus? Here's the thing. When he does that though, the insinuation is that if he was running things, it would have gone a lot better. First of all, I went back and listened to our over under pod, we did about the Lakers. I went under, I think you went under it at the house went over. All of us were like Davis and LeBron throw anybody with those guys and you're still going to be one of the most talented teams in the west. Like the Westbrook trade. I said that. I'm going to jump in and give you credit. You are more down on them than any of us were. In the pot. But you immediately, they're going to suck. I was just like, I don't think he's going to help them, but they still have Davis and LeBron. They're going to be fine. I don't think anybody was going. I wonder what Simmons and think about Westbrook. I don't think anybody was shocked by any of this. And honestly, me is being probably a lot of news breaking stuff from us. Although I loved, I don't know, I almost, I almost sent it out. Maybe I'll do it for you later tonight. There was some fan site that throwing out Westbrook's totals, like not his averages, but his totals. In ten categories, Westbrook was first or second, because I can't wait. Like if Westbrook is moved, someone on TV is going to say, like, look, he's still 18 7 and 7, like, you know, and you tweak tweet there, and I'm like, you should just go to China, dude. Just go to China. Get like 50 after this $47 million thing, 'cause anyway, we've already done all this what's wrong. I read some piece about trying to think of respirator trades and one of them was like, if Charlotte wants to get off of the Hayward, roger contracts, oh my God. Get out with Westbrook. I'm like, I'm pretty.

"The early nineteen eighties. We're filled with connick basketball stars. Magic johnson larry bird and kareem abdul-jabbar are just a few legends. That played during this era celebrity players. Thrilled fans with their incredible skills on the court but some behavior was not worth celebrating on august twentieth. "You get that kind of response well it. It's not a a number of things first of all madison square guard right It is considered the mecca of basketball in terms of the basketball universe and any player from an opposing team of that walks into the garden. Obviously wants to play well and when the garden is your home floor and you had that kind of support from your from your home crowd. It only gives you a tremendous left of. I was watching it From the standpoint that i grew up in the off so i've witnessed The championship teams and the the history of the knicks. And and i'm part of this re now and it was just a joy to go out there. Every night for form in front of fans of teamates that undisputed appreciate the game of basketball not just from putting baskets into also in terms of system. Defense and hustle. Plays like eric jeffrey. When each other chart and the needs to asking the fans they get out of this seat in the law. that is really wonderful. So bernard you grew up in knick fan on not oh fairly The knicks was where my fame any. Because i'm gonna speak from this perspective. I i didn't follow you in college. I'm just being honest about it. I was in where the ernie and bernie show and top of the draft in seventy seven and all that had a look that stuff up. But i was aware of bernard king when he arrived knicks growing up in new york and brooklyn being renowned high school ballplayer and all that and then finally making your way through trades and stuff to be on the knicks. How'd you feel when you first arrived in eighty two. Well you know obviously growing up in the. I didn't have an opportunity to any of the games. First game tended to madison square. Garden was my senior year in high school. When i made all city i team and we were honored on the garden. Florida halftime of the nick. Boston celtics gang and so we had seen arena. And that was my first professional basketball games up Certainly not something. I'll i'll never forget. I came over from golden state For the day the bushes bless his soul was The general manager of the team and they signed me as as a free agent and To to come home It was very important to me that I play at the highest level of a second team all arrived. But it was very important to me that i played at the highest level of at franchising in puerto fans and the parents in your friends there And iran a record ballgames. Was you know very very special time. Yeah so now. The the second two years the eighty three eighty four season eight forty five season. But dr king is up right there all nba. First team with guys like larry. Bird magic johnson kareem eighty four in particular. You know the back toback. Fifty point games but the biggest memory. I had that season. It wasn't necessarily just the series themselves. I thought it was a great job. You did in beating detroit and and listen the celtics to take them seven games but my biggest memories were game five against the against the pistons but dr king forty four points in a big deciding series win and then game six against the celtics forty four points again to extend it to a seventh game. Tell me what it felt like going up against guys. I mean listen. You're pro athlete so users competing against those guys. That's how i look in. You're but tell me like thinking back to guys like bird. Mikhail knows kind of guys and going up against say and the pistons. What was it like at the time. The intensity and the ability to rise and put up those kinds of point. Totals team once you get into the playoffs. The level of fly obviously elevate To the higher level and it was my responsibility as captain leader walk love To ensure our success as greatly as possible and so i. I made sure that i took my place another level And i was able to do that in that first round and we have some really good players on all play while billy car right end stream the a series of our walker. Rory spiral Louis are List goes on and you know we were very strong defensive pain and we weren't supposed to win that first series and As i recall was forty points a game for their five game series. We're able to win the fifth game in detroit. Enjoy a little serena In a very tough environment in came out of that exhausted obviously going into that celtics series and we. We were confident that we can beat the celtics. Alcoholics said guys that we had seven skinny madison square garden revolves fans when game. Seven the celtics having four hall of fame. Yeah and that was one of those series. I believe every team won their home game so that you know what. That's pretty valid point. That was made. And i talked about your average points. I i don't think you scored less than forty points except for one. Maybe one game in that series. I'm telling you. I was watching these games. I was amazed at how you were able to elevate your level of play. What was more exciting. I know the answer is going to be but what was more exciting back. Toback fifty point games or that game five. Will you winning a. Because i've always. I've i've heard you want occasion. Talk about the willingness to trade certain moments for a title so but what was the feeling that differs between the fifty point games and this deciding game in game. Five against the pistons. I would say. I would have to look at the totality of that series As opposed to a singular event in the game. And that's what i look at that. I'm certainly say The big game over back the back fifties -solutely oppressor pack situation. Where it's all on the line it's you know when they're going to move in. The loser goes home and Certainly with the game on the line is airtime is He had a great series Particularly coming on threats. When i don't know scored twenty three points or something like that and that minute and a half we're just a little bit and That helps pretty phenomenal on his part. But all the way through to win. And i remember one plane ticket. The guys We go to the sidelines. And we designed a play. We come out on Lined up with the basketball and means offended by curates in these Who made come on and bring. It was at the same time. The game is on the line so him and he said to the wrong guy. I was so excited. Hated the pistons back then. I hated the celtics. Even more than if you guys would have won that game seven that would have been arguably one of the biggest upsets of all time because the eighties and like i'm not a basketball expert. But the eighties to me was all about the celtics and the lakers and bird and magic. And then you had you had a little bit in there with the with the seventy sixers. Because you had dr. J. with moses malone they were able to get a title and then you know the pistons at the end like when you met met them they were just starting to get really good and then by the end of the decade they. They started when they want a couple of titles. But the next year I remember four forecast on christmas day. When you put up your sixty points against the nets how did that feel you at forty points at the half. I as a fan of you is that that you can have like eighty more game but how how did that feel that that experience you know. Obviously i i never thought about Scoring points unless it was absolutely.

"Meanwhile let's go to the performance of the night and it came from another who. We sometimes called the gold. Lebron james back home. In cleveland said it was the home cooking dinner at his mom's house the night before they went out last night and dropped. Forty six on the cavs. Look a male late in the first knocking down to three. He had seven feet in the first quarter. Then i play the second look at the dime little dish six assists for lebron that wanted to mantras. Herro what fifteen points off. The bench lakers thirteen but the fourth quarter. This was a close game. Lakers up to to the defense offense flush thousand nine hundred twenty six from the floor. Hey really took over the fourth quarter. Look at him going up. Swatting that one away from collins texan. They called it a goaltender. They overturned it then. He's knocking down three from the logo that gave him thirty six. A minute later this step back three now. He's at forty. One minute left in the game. Bernard king baseline action. Lebron james twenty one in the fourth forty six points on the night. The lakers remain perfect on the road. They win it in cleveland. One fifteen to one zero eight so there ten no on the road and what that forty six points. He's the oldest laker with a forty point games since kobe. Bryant scored sixty in the final game of his

"Because it's one thing to come back from knee surgery. Achilles That's tricky and he's going to be moving. He's going to be moving in six months where he's able to, you know, do something with that, just to get back into some kind of basketball mode there. He's gonna be out for two years. And then to try to come back and I was wondering about this Clay Thompson average 20 points in each of his last five seasons. Can he get back to just that Only one player since 1976 average 20 points after missing 22 seasons in a row. That was Michael Jordan, But Jordan was coming out of retirement. He was not coming back from an injury. Clay's coming back from an injury. I thought Bernard King may have missed a year and a half or so and then came back and it was like 25 a game, but Play to come back and average 20 and coming back from Achilles and missing two years. Would say, Steph Curry is probably not gonna win another championship because Draymond Green, his value is going to be quickly evaporating here in the next two years. I don't know how great James Wiseman's going to be. I don't know if Wiggins is there for the long haul. But I would say odds are right now. Probably not pulling Dan, You're absolutely right about Bernard King and 84 85 season with the Knicks Bernard King. For those who don't member, there was 33 points a game leading the MBA. Then they drafted Patrick Ewing. You know that the next season when Bernard King got hurt 85 86 season he didn't play it all for the knee injury. He played four games Do the knee injury the following season till you missed two years of NBA basketball, and they got Patrick Ewing during his injury. He went on average when he came back 17 21 22, then 28 points per game. That That's a guy who came back from injury to kind of reclaim himself. This program brought to you by built bar. I took the built bar package, and I put it in the mail room, which meant it was kind of a free for all for everybody. If they wanted to have something I said thanks. Yeah, there. No built bars left out there. So I had to call built Part I say. Can you send me another ship? No, it's a good thing, And I mean this. It's my mistake. It's like I leave liquor, the good liquor out at the Christmas party and people drink it. Then I go. I can't believe they drank the good liquor. Left the build bars out and the Dan it's went to town. Yes, you Yeah. I mean, there once you kind of have one. It's like, Well, I might take a couple extra these. I thought you guys were just gonna have one. So then we'd have something to talk about on the air. And then I realized that somebody took one or two or three or four stocking stuffer. Stanley called what it is. Go to built bar dot com into the promo code DP for 20% off your purchase. You're gonna love it Protein bars And when you think protein bars you're probably just like me you go No And then you go protein bar 18 Amazing flavors. Mint Brownie, coconut almond. Some of my favorites there, McLovin. What kind of pull question One more step Curry point and I have to credit Chan and sharp on Twitter with this He said The Warriors should trade Steph to the Lakers right now. Imagine something like that happened. Sort of. Would he ever title chase enjoying a LeBron or anything like I think he was being maybe a little bit of joking, but he put up a picture of Steph, LeBron and a D. Wait, wait. But why? Why don't we say these things When we don't think about the team That's trading somebody to the Lakers by the Warriors would be rebuilding would be the theory that they'd have to get a bunch of assets and now it's time to rebuild. Okay? I don't think the Lakers is the best target for that. But at some point, do the Warriors tear it down and start over. I can't imagine those golden State fans who spent that money and the owners who spent that money on that arena and you show up and you go. Hey, come on out. We're gonna watch dream on Green and James Wiseman. Don't forget Kelly, who break junior. Oh, yeah, That's right. They got Kelly. You bray in the juniors. I guess he's serviceable for that team. He's one of those guys that strikes me as the 17 point guy on a bad team, and maybe he's the guy will be able to contribute to them. But A little bit expectation should be tempered a little bit with Kelly You Bray Junior with Golden State, the hospital. Are you tempted at all to still pickle and state as a contender, or is he just impossible? I don't know. This is also the aspect of the mental part of this that you just lost Clay Thompson. And you gotta factor that in as well that this is just start the season and you you go without him. I think they'll be dangerous. How about that? I think they'll be one of those. They might be a tough out in the first round kind of thing. Maybe, but I don't I just I think it's pretty devastating, but his devastating that Steph was gonna have Clay Thompson. They were comfortable together. They learned to get you know to incorporate Kevin Durant. But Draymond Clay and Steph I still I was surprised that people were sort of dismissing them as one of the favorites, so I went Now, this is before Clay got hurt because you're gonna have James Wiseman is well, Wiggins is a serviceable players. Well, you're gonna have a little bit of depth there, but Man. Pretty tough. Really tough and you've had the most consecutive seasons, averaging three or more threes per game and shooting 45% old times. Steph has done it seven consecutive years, Clay's dunnit five consecutive years. No other player in NBA history has had two consecutive years of it least 33 threes made in the game and shooting 45% from the floor. You're really losing. You know your style of play, and I don't know how you re create that style of plague. That's the big loss for me with Golden State is Who are they now with Clay and Steph? I knew who they were now. I'm not quite sure and they won't know either. I'm gonna guess. What else do you have the club? Okay, NFL. What are we talking about? Monday morning. And here's that exercise..

"Know when you talk to a Knicks fan you mention Bernard king right great there I'm like man I love you then you mention Reggie Miller and I'm like all men would you give me what poor John Starks gets pushed in the back what's going on here man I mean who like riverside poly's find is too and I ended up calling games ironically for UC riverside trace you know it was classic man and you do the broadcasting the color commentating so I remember was the best man so calmly games down the palm springs area I remember in fact if you were city George Gervin nephew Caleb Guerrier was plan there are key to a city but I end up getting the job for UC riverside basketball and they were division two in nineteen ninety five the year the UCLA wins the division one title and there I am call UC riverside division to know I had no clue on due to you know I grew up in Jersey and you know Saint Johns you know my great uncle you mention Bernard came my great uncle coach in Brooklyn for you know forty two years basketball baseball any coach Connie Hawkins and you know so many we I remember seeing you know Bernard King Albert king and all these great players from Brooklyn throughout the years of my uncle was coach my great uncle was coaching and I just remember saying like wow man this is this is just top of the line stuff but I really didn't know division two we knew Louie corner second St John's we knew seen hall because we were in north Jersey and I followed you know a lot of the D. one teams I used to love when you know he came on and watching park just chewing on the talent you know you get UCLA my dad loved John wooden and he was like you know I remember guys like Richard Washington and these guys are in Sidney wicks and just you know growing up watching these guys and I mean my dad just loved UCLA does that wouldn't Manny goes that now that the coat he goes there's great coaches but this guy is the greatest of them all and you know I remember you know in Walton and all these guys in of Alcindor who of course became Jabbar all those guys back in the day so here we are in palm springs and mark Roberts has is great company together in a you know covering all the football and all the basketball on T. on night T. I. K. E. S. Q. was the ABC affiliate there in the palm springs area but you know the Coachella valley's kind of spread out but all the schools the ten schools high schools from looking to was the new kid on the block but you know from Indio to could shell at a cathedral city palm desert palm springs they all knew each other and so it was kind of cool so we would do the games on Friday nights and then they play him again Saturday morning and it was like the number one Nielsen rated show in the Coachella Valley whatever was the football or basketball so mark Roberts gets the he's doing UC riverside last year's and he says Hey Katie man you gotta go upbeat coach John Macy I got the UC Irvine jobs these all have been like what he goes he goes yeah the editors gave me the job so he's all happy because he's got a division one job so I have no clue what the hell division two is very trace I go up there and I'm like alright this is great you know so I because Macy's I can you sell a because we got we got to get so mad sold I you know get get us on the air and I'm like so I sold a few ads got on there course I'm doing it for free so here's the thing I got this all and I'm commuting from palm springs up to riverside call on the games and I travel with the team when you know whatever they want on the road so nineteen ninety five they have this you know solid team but a couple guys get kicked off the team couple D. one transfers and a couple other guys academically ineligible anyway it's like seven or eight guys on this team and they end up going all the way to the national championship game on CBS TV as you know division to you got to get to that final in order to be on CBS TV and I remember giving Dick Stockton and since you talking UCLA and Myers given them the note and it was right before you see riverside played southern Indiana coach by none other than Bruce pearl who of course coaching over at Auburn Tennessee Wisconsin Milwaukee after that but did a great job but here's the classic trace I'm just telling you when you have passion and you love something so much as I know you love playing I know you loved coaching but I know you love the broadcasting part two so here's the thing I good I get up there to riverside people have no idea the car broke down so I had to jump on a bus from over off the ten freeway got off got on a bus and then it left me about eight miles away from where I needed to be over there off university and I got over there and I'm sweating stuff like get in the bathroom and I always leave early for the game but I get in there and I make it look on there I got this this big like old baseball Bagley campus bag and stuff with all the equipment set it all up ready to go call the game so I walk out tracing on get ready now I've got no car but I got to get to palm springs and it's pouring rain out and all these people are like Hey you need a ride you car where you parked awesome like almost all known down there no I'm good I I've got to I gotta go when I got a call my wife make sure let her know I'm on my way home and everything and see that and I just waited till everybody left trees and there I was and I get over off university and I go over to the side of the freeway on the ten freeway and I'm just trying to hitchhike back to palm springs and trace on telling you twenty these nights were not only is it raining it starts raining and then it gets cold and then the wind starts moving that read side side so I'm literally I'm soaked in Amman that I'm making sure I'm on the side of the freeway the entrance part and like oh god man please lord let this be somebody that can take me back to palm springs you know anywhere close and so the guy gets an eye sees got like the referee stripes is a guy that just finish call the game at riverside community college and he's like what the hell you do I go well my car broke down and I'm on my way back I just called the Highlander game at at the rec center this guy was so cool man that he ended up taking me all the way to palm springs to my house one twenty five miles out of his way which really fifty because they had to turn around go back and which is it just made me realize you know what sometimes when you love something the way that we do you know we do whatever it takes and I know you were like that as a player I know Colby was like that as a player and you really seem like here's a guy that changed his whole life to to just really put his faith and his family you know in front there and then become this great business guy that seem like everything you touch was turned into gold just the way you did on the core when he was playing and I know that's something that as an entrepreneur yourself you see that and is it so hard to understand somebody "Find any comparable superstar whose team never experienced the kind of success that New Orleans similarly has an experienced with Davis. So we're doing a podcast as everybody who's listening knows. But I'll just I'm going to do a little color here. A little seen Mike during that both rolled his eyes furrowed his brow. Now is like and that was like massaging his temple. It's going. Great over here. He's going to be fine. Guys. Some of the people that are on this list that cram found to make misery and company. Right. People are miserable than I company Pete Mara vici with the jazz Bernard king tiny Archibald and then Anthony Davis. Yeah. Yeah. And like Pete mayor vich with the jazz they were an expansion team. Tiny Archibald with the kings. They moved from Cincinnati to Omaha to Kansas City. Just in the time. He was there. So I guess the fact that New Orleans has stayed in New Orleans is a positive compared to those peers, but that probably isn't like that's a pretty low benchmark for getting maybe the best draft prospect since LeBron is just staying in the same city just to throw my hat into the misery ring. Alan Iverson is also on this list. Although I feel like that's kinda strange because I enjoyed watching him. They overachieved with that team that lost to the Lakers. I was fine with the Allen Iverson era. I don't think that you feel fine with the Anthony Davis era, though, I mean, like the Allen Iverson era that team was kind of built specifically to respond to him in a in a stranger. I mean like you had planned center like. Can be Matombo was traded for him. They they initially. Live right. They traded for Matombo. Also had Chris I mean. Like, it was just basically you had all the people that were there took just collect the ball. Recycle. It. Is that like they didn't have like a system that felt like it was clicking until like the second half of last last year when you went down and all of a sudden like nowhere felt like oh, they finally us. This is the thing that works like so in addition to and this is for both of your both on the podcast. But in addition to us saying like, okay, they never quite put a team around him. And it didn't quite make sense. Do we feel like like I love Anthony Davis and he fucking loads the box score every time. He plays right. Like, his stat lines are always on the charts. But do we feel like he was like what's his culpability on in terms of like him making his teammates better and him making that team better? I don't know. I feel like that question is always like super loaded. Sure, there should be in effect some sort of -bility for for a superstar that fails to you know, like bring his team up with him or whatever. But like that's extremely romantic way to think about it. Sure. This game. Here and there for for like regular, wear and tear shit. Right. I mean, I I don't know. I don't I don't know. What more I could ask for somebody? That was if you weren't looking was gonna put up a fifty point triple double. Yeah. Yeah. That's that's fair. Like how much more could you possibly ask him to do? And like why is it his fault? That has the doesn't translate to wins and losses Kramer, you on it. Well, I think if you just look at his pure like on or off court for like the last five seasons. The pelicans have been ten points per one hundred perceptions worse when Davis off the court. They've been just when he's on the court one of the best teams in the NBA, but they just completely crater every single season when he's off this season. Obviously being no exception. I think you're Alan Iverson point is a shrewd one because while I also didn't experience that much regular season success. He was also making plans, and he had that one like legendary step over moment. And that one playoff run that Sixers fans will remember where two decades pass at this point Anthony Davis the peak of his pelicans career if he ends up being traded is a first round win. And sure it's kind of not fair that he ran into the warriors both times he made the playoffs. He's second all time in points. The game in the playoffs..

"And the fact of the matter is that for this to be fulfilled for their MAURICE declaration of greatness for this man of historic greatness of to be fulfilled. The only way it's going to be fulfilled in the eyes of most people will be if he can now take that performance. And and do the same thing to seek. Degree in the playoffs as the other people in the discussion has done starting with Michael Jordan, and then running through Kobe Bryant a consummate offense, a player and LeBron himself and even though in bird, for example. So he has yet to have a transcendent playoffs. Absolutely. The other guys in question were all MVP in the playoffs sometimes multiple times. And he is not reached that stature yet. So I think that is a very fair point that you raise and before anyone can declare him as the greatest anything. I think that nor to enter that company. He's got to do it in the months of may and June as well, April, Bobby, Bobby. Here's the thing we have seen other regular season rips like this and since I started covering the NBA, and and you started covering the NBA before I did. Okay. I mean member Bernard king went on this gunman for the for the New York Knicks, and I don't remember anybody saying the time that he was the greatest officer player all time or even put him. In that conversation. All I'm saying is that is much as Maury couched it and as good as hard is. He's not he's not he's simply not. And and we could go back to guys who played before the three point line. There was a guy wants to average await a minute fifty points a game for a season. I understand that was a different world in the NBA and anybody who would suggest James harden is a greatest greater offensive performer of the Michael Jordan was simply nuts is this fun to watch. It's fun to watch. Okay. I I have great admiration for the way harden has transformed his teams bad start into the team. We saw last night and again, thanks to Darrow more forgiving us something to talk about. But but hardened compla- like this without rushing to put him into that historical discussion. That's all I'm saying. Well, and and there's a way just a little bit more to it. If you just examined the box score, he talk. Okay. We're just talking about last night's game. So this is one getting some twenty three three point attempts. He's took thirty two shots and hit thirteen. Now. I'm no mathematician, but that ain't a great percentage overall from the floor. It's about forty percent. You wanna give one guy that many shot the one guy who hits remarkable three pointers and clearly can hit a clutch shot when you need to get clutch shot and win the game for you that you have at the other guys standing around. Remember, this was a team that that traded for Chris Paul to try to become more complete. And it's really only been since Chris Paul went out with injuries that hardens gone on this ridiculous role of their kind of a one man team. And again, I really thirty a question of one guy does all the shooting and the other guys basically, the set them up what kind of team do you have there when when it really counts, and do you really think he's going to do this four times in seven games against the Golden State Warriors? You're going to do it. On on a given night in January, but not gonna end I'm impressed with anybody who can score forty points in a game. But when you take thirty two shots, and you'll only make thirteen them. I'm a.
