"Yes. Jill. Not a doctor. Biden. All right, let's get a little bit more serious. Let's talk about the important stuff, not the inconsistencies off the media. Let's continue with the incredible audio and video from the person who was uncovering all the corruption in the election in Nevada, this is again Attorney Jesse Bennell in front of the Senate hearing yesterday, talking about what they were allowed to do when they asked to inspect the technology. The hardware used to run those elections. This is video cut. Three Jessie Benno. To CART County technical employees came forward completely independent of each other. And explain that they discovered that the number of votes recorded by voting machines in stored on USB drives would change between the time the polls were closed at night and when they were reopened the next morning. In other words, votes were literally appearing and disappearing in the dead of night. When we attempted to verify the integrity of these voting machines, we were allowed on Lee a useless visual inspection of the outside of a USB drive. We were denied a forensic examination. The examination afforded them. Was to look The exterior of a USB drive. That's a joke. That means they're cheating, and they're laughing at those who challenge them on this issue. Lets talk to Kim in Ohio, Line three. Yeah. Good afternoon, Mr Gorka. I listen to your show often, and I do appreciate everything you do, but I'm having a problem here. With the voter election on that just recently happened if, in fact there was voter fraud. Has any of this been proven in court. You know of no court wants to hear it. Did you? Did you not hear the audio in the video, which is played I did, However, there's tens of thousands of people who are dead voting or that do not live in a certain state and are voting within that state. When the court has to listen to the why, Why would they How do you How do you force the judge to listen to something? It doesn't want to listen to What do you do? You tie them down. But it is their job. Yeah, you'd think so. But they refused to How does the Supreme Court say? We're not going to give Texas a chance to actually make their case before us? Because we don't think Texas has any right to challenge another states. Presidential election. Did you understand what's happening in America? I understand completely. And as it stands right now, we have a new president and vice president that will be in office. January 20th But if, in fact there is all of this voter fraud Why hasn't the court came? Even though you never listen to my show once every bloody day, I tell you why.

"With Sebastian. Gorka, Can I ask you a very simple question? My friends. And it's not really a rhetorical, but you can take it. However you wish What is the point? Of Congress. What is the point? Of electing anybody. Whether it's the local councilman. Whether it's the governor. Whether it's your congressional representative. Weather. It's your senator. What is the point? If things occur. Which qualitatively wronger, which are morally bad. And we know them to have happened there indisputable facts. But nothing happens. Was asked today I just Recorded an interview with my good friend, former CIA former NYPD Patriot Buck Sexton. They ask my opinion. This is what shaped the opening of our show today. He asked me what I think about these new calls were special prosecutor to be appointed by the president. Before January 20 of toe look into the hunter Biden. Corruption allegations, and we have new news on that that you will not Believe And my response I thought, Do I do this toe back on his show? I thought He's committed to the truth. I believe in the importance of the truth, and I'm just gonna say how I see it. I don't care is what I said. I don't care. Another special prosecutor. What difference does it make? Look at what? Robert Mueller dead. Man. It was put in place to take down a president for political reasons, not criminal ones. Because for 20 months, he tried to find a criminal reason and he couldn't $40 million spent. Not one crime, not one crime identified. Against President Trump all his campaign. So then he ask to tack on an appendix with 10 theories off obstruction of justice. That's what we paid a special prosecutor to do to come up with hypotheses go to Herr Robert Mueller. It's guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, as measured by a jury of your peers. Not theories of how he could have done something wrong. So I don't care about another prosecutor. A sham. Uncontrolled missiles. Anyway, they never end up investigating the thing that you're actually set out to investigate. The last time that ever happened was when Joe did General was a special prosecutor. What did he do The honorable thing? He found no evidence. His specific mandate, so he shut himself down. When does that happen in D? C. Somebody, a government entity shutting itself down. Are you kidding me? They grow like topsy, bigger and bigger every year. More employees more money, more budgets. Have we, as I've asked before become a land of no consequences. I ask you this Because of some stunning video. The mainstream media will not share with you. It should be on a loop if CNN cared about the truth, as they did 30 years ago. This next video. This two minute video should be playing on a loop on every cable channel. Because this is what really happened. In the last election. This is from the Senate hearing yesterday. By the man sounds with investigating the fraud an individual called Jesse Bennell. And this is what he found in Nevada just in two minutes, and it led to Senator Rand. Paul. Making a shocking statement. In response. Let's start. Mr Bellow. Not one This year, thousands upon thousands of Nevada voters had their voices canceled out by election fraud and invalid ballots. Here's how it happened. On August 3rd 2020 After a rushed special session, Nevada legislators made drastic changes to the state's election law by adopting a bill known as a before Vulnerabilities of the statute were obvious it provided for universal mail voting without sufficient safeguards to authenticate voters or insure the fundamental requirement. But only one ballot was sent to each legally qualified voter. This was aggravated by election officials failure to clean known deficiencies in their voter rolls. Because of a before the number of mail ballots rocketed from about 70,000 and 2016 to over 690,000 this year. The election was inevitably riddled with fraud, and our hotline never stopped ringing. Well, the media and Democrats accused us of making it all up. Our team began chasing down every lead. Our evidence came both from data scientists and from brave whistleblowers. Here's what we found. Over.

"I'm Ted Garcia. Well, Not surprisingly, it's a toxic combination. Social media and cove. It shaming. Joining us on the cocaine use live line is Rabbi Kevin Beveled. Good morning, Rabbi. Morning. How are you, Ted? I'm good. Thank you for joining us. So, you know, tell us about this Social media covert shaming What's going on here? Yeah, So I think it's important when something like this happens to you that you take a step back and you look at the bigger context, so there's a lot of people Who are very, very afraid of what's going on. Even even at this point, you know, 67 months into it. And so they have a lot of anxiety, and it doesn't take a whole lot to set people off. When they see something they don't like, or something that bothers them. They'll know we tend to burst out even in the best of times. And when we're under that kind of pressure that we're under, you know the last several months. It becomes a bigger problem. But if you really think about it, in most cases it has nothing to do with you, right. I mean, these people. Typically don't know. Uh, they're strangers. They know nothing about it. It's just we become the object through which they're releasing their fear and anxiety. It's so strange to me, though, because we're all in this together. Yet. Everybody is taking their side or in their camp and were attacking each other when everybody should be coming together. It's it's true and in our better Selves, we would look at it that way. But the fact that we've been quarantined or lock down individually. It's very hard to keep in mind the you know the together in this nature of this situation, and and while social media You know, presumably gives us the opportunity to be together with the community. Social media is not really an overall community building phenomenon. It's really a tribal building phenomenon. Right, so we break down into individual affinity groups or or you know political groups or whatever they are. Social media is much more about finding a niche for us to belong to then then then belonging to an overall Commons that would Bridge those kinds of gaps. Do you think because of social media were becoming less tolerant of others? I do think that that's the case. We were not in a situation where we have to spend time with people with whom we disagree. Perhaps maybe at work where we don't get to choose our colleagues. But but that's another example. We're not going to the office or to the workplace now, so we're not forced to spend time with people with whom we disagree. So in the world today we consiglio ourselves off from people with divergent viewpoints. And and when we don't experience them, we inevitably become less tolerant of them. OK, But here's a simple question. Why can't we just mind our own business? That's that's actually a great question. Right? And I think the answer to Daddy's going back to something I said earlier, which is the fear. So I remember early on in the coded time before maths were required in the grocery store. I shot that I got trapped in an aisle with two guys on either end of the island in the middle. They had masks on and I didn't And you know, for a moment I was I was pretty scared. And then, as I approached one of them to try and get around him, I realized, you know he's just way more scared than I am. And he just shouted Profanity at me. I'm telling you I've been in I was a sailor for 14 years. I never heard profanity like this before. Right? And as I came close to him, I realized Has nothing to do with me. It was all his fear and getting along just or just minding our own business wasn't a possibility for someone boots. Scared. Well, maybe we should just pause before we start to respond to something on social media these days. Rabbi Rabbi Kevin Bennell. Thank you so much for your time really Interesting. Headlines right now, potentially coming to the state of Florida tomorrow for a rally right now, though, I want to get into it before our next guests while we've got time with Felix The kidnapping plot of Mission Governor Gretchen Whitmer. That was thwarted. This is some crazy stuff. And if you haven't heard about it, the Michigan militia group that had this plan there called the Wolverine Watchmen. 13 people charge. It looks like there's eight in all as faras, a part of this militia group. Yeah, there's two separate cases. There's one that's a federal case involving six people that were the actual plot to take down. Our kid to have the governor and the other seven are facing state charges crazy for basically targeting law enforcement of a serious of attacks that they were going to pull up, but and holder on trial for treason. That was the 63 guys in the federal complaint, and it's insane because What? There's a lot of plane that went into it this year, but when you get to the actual plot itself, they were actually to the point where they were surveilling her vacation home in Michigan with a plot to blow up a bridge. That is scary stuff, and we'll definitely get to know more details, But I want to get to our next guest. Rabbi Kevin Bennell, who joins us right now a specialist in human behavior, Rabbi Thanks for joining us this morning. Thanks so much happy to be here wanted to bring you on because throughout this pandemic, there's been a lot of social media shaming going on, and that's the norm for this country. But in the middle of a pandemic when people are dying, and you're still seeing shaming going on social media, it's something that I struggle to see. And it's one of the reasons I hate Social media. One of the stories was Rick Rose, who Who Put on line on Facebook that he wasn't buying a face a face mask. Two months later, he contracted covert 19. He died and when that was posted on Facebook, there are actually people laughing at the story saying, Ha ha. You deserve it, Basically. So what? When did we become really this cruel on social media? Really? We see it but overall Yeah, So I think it's important to take a step after what's going on and and look at it a bit of a larger context. So I remember Early on in the Kobe pandemic. I was in the grocery store, and this was before masks were mandated. And I actually got caught between two guys in the aisle wearing masks on either an and I I thought for a minute. Wow, I'm in big trouble here. But as I approached one of them, and he was just hurling profanity at me, I mean, I was in the Navy for 14 years. It was a lot so And I realized he was just scared out of his whip. So I had nothing to do with me. I just happened to be in the way when this person wass getting his fear out. And I think that's true whether it's in person. Whether it's social media. It's really people are very, very afraid. To a certain extent, there's there's been. I think you could argue Cem Cem fearmongering going on. And they're just overwrought. There's no place for them to release that emotion. And so they dumped on, you know the most convenient Outlet and whether it's you know this, this poor fellow, you know who who died or whether it's no us in the supermarket. We're getting the blowback from There there fear coming out. Yeah, you are. You're seeing that? No, no doubt, but Robin and the others end of the spectrum here. You certainly see another level of fear when you have, you know the Orthodox community, and I'd love to get your thoughts on this theme. New York Board of Rabbis is really calling it shameful what they did in the New York community, an orthodox community where they were basically taking to the streets because they're not happy with the new state mandated restrictions. So on the opposite, and there's so much anger there. About these restrictions that they're hitting the streets and then you know, really roughing up some photographers, people in the media that are just trying to capture it, So I think there's a level of fear and anger on all all sides here. Yes, I think so. So, you know, speaking about that situation in particular, so in their case, their angry over the disparate treatment, So on the one hand we've seen Protesters in the streets in New York with the mayor, you know, joining with them. Um, And yet Orthodox Jews in New York want to be able to conduct their This is the fall holiday season for Jews. They want to be able to conduct their festivals or Or conduct their funerals and such, and they're being treated differently than other groups of of of protesters. And so Um, there's think there's you know, there's there's a difference between the two in that. There. There is a reason behind the anger that's being expressed. While there's no reason to be roughing up journalists, of course, there is the reason reason behind what we're seeing. For groups who are feeling like they're being mistreated, while other groups are being given favored status. We have the same situation with a Christian school in the Central Valley here in California You know, they're They're suing the state of California because they they're they feel that they're being treated differently than other institutions. Yeah, it's certainly there's obviously anger there. Yeah, there's anger, and it's just It's a tense situation all around. We are out of time. But a rabbi Kevin Bennell, specialists in human behavior who also was part of the United States, navy, like you mention and thank you so much. For your service. Thanks for calling in Hey, Casey, what's going on, man? I don't have to say this when it comes to the mass mandate. I told the court. I totally disagree with that. I'm one of the people I don't wear a man's hardly almost. If the store has it up there, I may put it on taking back off. Take also level sports because of the reasons right here. No one will say anything about when these protestors out here protests and this is the start of the pick back up. Yes, their friend. You originally say the math work out you've made OK, well where we didn't know how many times have Dr Bennell show and actually say it. We didn't know. So it all went back up to the matter if people don't want a way to mask We've a lot to sin you hypocrisy and nobody would talk about and bring up the obvious when it comes to these protest their lead back up to the increase. We walk away now, without a national mandate. We've all the covert numbers down. Without the mask mandate, some people warm and they wanted to dump people. Out here, yelling their protests and Bernie Jamal, We didn't have you on the air. Could you start again? Oh, you did not giving. I'm just making a joke. Ah, yeah, I have noticed that with it when it came to a black lives matter that you see all the coverage before that happened again. I I wear a mask. I just do it because it's not an inconvenience to me. I don't really care. I don't think that anybody should be forced to and I'm not in favor of mandates of stores want to do it? I'm fine with that, because that's the store. If I don't want to shop there, I'll shop someplace else I said before. But I did notice that when all that happened, ah, you know, Suddenly, the CNN's in the MSNBC's of the world were who were so hell bent on making sure that nobody was wearing a mask and distancing suddenly, like you said it was more important to get out there and set things on fire than it was to make sure everybody was safe. Kensi and Dr Fowler. What, really take me off when you went in front of the convoy. And Jim Jordan asked him directly. So why you're in protest? Increase the number. He wouldn't even Say the truth. He kept dancing around and being apologies you where you no longer number gathering the people where large numbers what? What was the recent large number gathering People rally? Not make America great again, and it won't keep America great again. Riley, it was black lives matter. So how you go? So when it comes to people with the Mass, a lot of us A lot of busts like Wow, You didn't care about this. How can we trust soup? You won't even tell people the truth. You know, I don't give fancy a complete pass. But I tend to get found she more of a past than other people do not because of any opinion. He has just because, you know, he's a demure little doctor off to the side and nobody was expecting a pandemic like this to happen. I don't care what they say. Nobody was expecting it. And you throw found she out there and suddenly you're if you're not used to dealing with the media and the general public in that way, and then suddenly you turn around and you're being attacked to the point where you have to buy personal security for your Children than you know, being afraid to actually call out the black lives matter Group when you're not a politician, and you don't have that backbone. You know, that doesn't faze me a little bit, but mainly because we all know what happens. Don't take found she. You know, I don't think that she's word is God, you know Well, I'll think about I try to stay on point. I'm not. I could bring you on the air, and then I could leave and you could just start talking that I thought what you did on that's a compliment. By the way, that's not a that's not an insult. What? I try to stay on point, but the mast when it comes to these matters. A lot happier if they really want to get more people to wear masks. If they really actually want to get more people wear masks when people got you do you have today they have to go out and tell the people the American people, Truth. Hey, yes, we had. So we remembered through song through architecture. Our synagogues face. It's not it's not a coincidence. They all face towards Jerusalem Jerusalem. They face towards the Temple Mount where the temple was an ancient synagogues which are from after the time of the temple we found. There's always will be images usually of MINORA's of. Does climate change make predicting the weather more difficult?
"This week's climate cast taking on just a bit of a different format because all a week we're answering your questions about climate change and who better to answer some of them then climate cast host and chief meteorologist. Paul Hunter Hi Paul Hi Tom we just heard from Maryvale Bennell of cottage grove so you study climate change regularly predict the weather as a meteorologist. what do you know what do you need to tell us that climate change in forecasting while Mary that's a great question and there is evidence that climate change is affecting jetstream patterns Jennifer Francis us at Rutgers University one of the premier authors of theory called Arctic amplification and here's how it works basically the polls we know are warming more rapidly even the equator and it's that difference in temperature that drives jetstream so that mix a slower more erratic jetstream loopier jetstream it can mean slower wetter storms and quicker more intense droughts and that can be more difficult for meteorologists to forecast it also produces changing precipitation in Patterns More Water Vapor in the atmosphere can mean heavier rain and snow events so sometimes we have to goose our predictions and take that into account a little bit an atmosphere. That's one degree. Fahrenheit warmer holds about four to five percent more water vapor and that can pool and produce twenty to thirty percent more rainfall in storms. That's something they discovered with a study of Hurricane Harvey a couple of years ago. What about when it comes to winter whether it's cold or snow forecasting which is always the tricky business anyway yeah. It's hard enough to start one of the highest degree of difficulty forecast. There is here's the thing about Minnesota and climate change. We know that winters are warming warming faster than any other season in Minnesota. It's warmed about five degrees in Minnesota since one thousand nine hundred seventy in the winter but it still plenty cold enough for snow and winter impacts include more moisture that works into winter systems to and that gives us the potential for heavier snowfall you use models allot in in forecasting is climate change affecting the way you use those or what they tell you well. It's something we have to adapt to because forecast models developed under a different set of atmospheric assumptions and so a numerical model orders have to play catch up to a new set of climate and atmospheric assumptions Tom now let's let's talk about the bigger picture here what's going on at the UN in New York all week this happens but what is different about the topics wchs and the discussion this year as you see it at the climate summit yeah many of these previous meetings have been about science about the state of the atmosphere right this this one is the UN climate action summit so it's not just a science and predictions but it also goes to how does the world actually get to the twenty thirty and twenty fifty carbon goals that these IPC reports have dictated need to happen so some of these notes are from the UN climate action summit page and areas. They're going to be focusing on this week finance. How do you mobilize public and private sources of finance to decarbonised is our economy energy and industry transitions and how do we accelerate the shift away from fossil fuels toward renewable energy and nature based solutions. How do you reduce emissions by changing the way we use is our forests and agricultural systems and also cities and local action advancing mitigation and resilience at the urban and local levels Tom so all all of these things are basically come to all right. We know the atmosphere needs us to reduce carbon and reduce it quickly. How do we actually make that happen and sustain a thriving economy and a sustainable planet

"Happy, Father's Day from the man Cal back here Monday morning on wwl. Welcome Ben Shapiro show. Well, the New York Times is hot on the trail of radicalization. And shocker shocker, they found it in conservative YouTubers. This Caleb came very, very important human. I visited Mr. Kane in West Virginia after seeing his YouTube video, denouncing the far right? We spent hours discussing his radicalization tobacco his recollections, he tell moated and sent me his entire YouTube history of all the more than twelve thousand videos and more than twenty five hundred search queries dating in two thousand fifteen right there that should have ended the article. Hey, if you've watched more than twelve thousand videos and more than twenty five hundred search worries on YouTube dating back to twenty fifteen you're spending a lot of time on YouTube. There may be some other issues with you and also is every single one of those videos blame because one of the videos he watched was Jimmy Kimmel. Probably Jimmy Kimmel is to blame. These interviews data points for a picture of a disillusioned young man internet savvy group of right-wing reactionaries and powerful algorithm that learns to connect to. It's just that you may have played a role in steering mister Cain, another young men like him the far right fringes. It also suggested that time is capable of steering them in very different directions. Okay. Well, now you really don't have a point of your article. Right. So you're saying the YouTube could direct you to the far. Right. Also directly to the left, which means you're an independent humid, with the capacity to click on things graduations, and they talk about that and have a chart. It shows the number of political videos that this guy watched each month. It says the right wing content mister Cain viewed in two thousand fifteen in two thousand sixteen often consisted of videos by Molly with titles like social Justice warriors, always lie and the global warming hoax. And then it has mister Cain. Also, watch many videos by members of the so-called intellectual dark web, that'd be a group in which I'm involved like the popular comedian Joe Rogan and the political commentator group, Joe Rogan's fault is Joe's fault amazing. It's amazing. So he watches video by Stefan, and video by Joe Rogan is Joe Rogan's fault, clearly, during 2017 came began watching videos from left-wing channels, oh, amazing. So then wise this story, I'm confused Wieser from page story with graphical me. I'm just a little confused. Confused by this guy Caleb, Kane is an important human because he made a video like welcome to the world where everybody makes videos from an early age. Mister Cain was fascinated by internet culture says the New York Times as a teenager. He browsed fortune. The lawless message board. Okay. Well, that would be a pretty good indicator that the guy was ripe for radicalization already by the time. He was a teenager. Four Chan is a lot more radical than YouTube in terms of general content. He played online games of this friends are videos of intellectuals debate in charge topics like the existence of God clear. That's a problem. The internet was an escape Mr. king grew up in post industrial Appalachia was raised by his conservative Christian grandparents. He was smart, but socially awkward. He went to community college, but dropped out after three semesters broke into press resolved to get his act together he'd be looking for help in the same place. He looked for everything YouTube one day late twenty fourteen. Youtube recommended a self help video by Stefan Malu a Canadian talk show host and self-styled philosopher, Mr. Mallon, who describes himself as an ARCO capitalist had a political agenda. Who's a men's right? Advocate, who. That feminism was a form of socialism, and the progressive gender politics were holding young men back you offered a conservative commentary on pop culture and current events explaining why Disney's frozen was an allegory about female vanity or the fatal shooting of an armed black teenager by white police officer was proof of the dangers of rap culture. Mister Cain was a liberal who cared about social Justice worried about wealth, inequality, and believe in climate change. But he found Mr. Maloney's diatribes fascinating. Even when they disagreed and then apparently he started watching a lot of videos watched them Joseph Watson. And then he watched him a lot of videos on feminism, and then he watched him racist videos, but he never actually became racist that here's the best part. Okay. So, we'll finally you get to the point of all of this. He is asked whether in fact, he ever turned into a racist after watching all this stuff, quote, Mr. K never bought into the rights most extreme views, the far right's most extreme Hughes like holocaust, or the need for white Ethnos state, still far right ideology, blood into his daily life, he began referring to himself as trad con traditional conservative, committed to old fashioned, gender Nord's. He dated evangelical Christian woman, and he his liberal friends, it was kind of sad said, Zelda, wait a friend of Mr. canes from high school. I was just like, wow, what happened. How did you get this way? So if you're not a liberal, and you data conservative, obviously, there's something wrong with you. And then they focus in on Molly Allott. I mean this article is largely about stuff on Malibu. But again, I'm confused as to why it is why it is that this particular person is being profiled when he was never sucked into Stefan, Malla news kind of outright, worldview. And then I love this in two thousand eighteen early four years after mister Cain had begun watching, right? When YouTube videos, a new kind of video began appearing in his recommendations these were made by left-wing creators, but they mimicked the aesthetics of right wing YouTube one videos innovate about immigration between the southern the Lawrence outhern, and even Bennell, liberal youtuber notice. Destiny cain. Watch the video to cheer on southern, but Mr. Bonello a better debater and MC mister Cain. Reluctantly declared him the winner. Mister Cain also found videos by Natalie win a former academic philosopher goes by the name contra points, this win wore elaborate costumes into drag south performances in which you explain why western culture wasn't under attack from immigrants or why race was a social construct, and then talks about how wonderfully funny and engaging, all of these people are on the right. And then he says, well, he became left-wing. Oh, well so too. Happy stories. This is a happy story in the end. And then he came out and he said that he didn't like all of the stuff that he had watched before. And then people were mean to the New York Times spends, I kid, you not several thousand words on the story, and they have pictures again, of Milton Friedman, and me alongside pictures of actual outright, racists, who have spent many years ripping. Hey, the goal of the New York Times story is obvious, canes store is not all that. Interesting. There's nothing there. So the question is why did the New York Times dedicate as much face to it? The reason the New York Times dedicated this much space to it is because this is part of a hard push by the left in advance of the twenty twenty election to silence. Rebelling views. That's what this is that is why they're limping in everybody on the right? That's why they're suggesting that YouTube algorithm. Not that people watch my videos, and that YouTube, outgrew them wrongly directs them to all right. Videos, a proposition with which I generally agree. But the idea is that my video should not be promoted and Crowder's that he should not be promoted and anybody else's on the right there videos should not be promoted like mainstream right wing figures videos should not be promoted Jordan Peterson. Be promoted Joe Rogan shouldn't be promoted that's the goal of the New York Times, shutdown debate. This is from your free press. Coming up, we'll talk about what was really behind that. New York Times it wasn't a deep worry about radicalization. It's really about two holidays and money. I'll explains the Ben Shapiro show. But first Douglas Weather Channel forecast. Not be ruled out.

They put on the platinum music awards, August twenty six they do believe when he third. I-it lendsay. Can you can buy your tickets? It's helping the public. It fantastic video. They're all the honorees were there. They don't speak themselves. People do it for them. And there's live music of Joe west is coming back at nutjob. He's coming back to, to run the show again this year. Yeah. He's and he's fantastic. All right now, we're talking about the foundation and all of that. And thank you, Cindy. Oh my God. The Lieber can in Berkley school of music and, and Lee Burke. So you have a Lee Burke, award is not for a musician. It is kind of for the first four someone or an organization that has been very powerful in their support of the music of the state first year was was, Catherine Oppenheimer. In school for the arts. Exactly. Tremendous contribution believable, second year was hummingbird musical camp down in the heinous. Yes. Exactly. So tell you how many children's lives how long has been opened sixty years last year that was their anniversary. It's in the tens of thousands of probably of children who've who've spent a few months error, you know, summer after summer there and it's not just going to camp. It's it, it's a life changer for the kids who go there. It, it just means so much. They did such beautiful job in the same way that Candyman in for the same kind of reasons that Candyman is getting the league Burke award this year. Kanye mastering is we're excited about this is a very special year for Candyman, of course with the fiftieth anniversary but he think they're excited where all are you excited? She is, she's high on this whole thing. Yeah. So we are we are thrilled that, that so for school, an institution a store, a camp, whatever it is. It has a major impact on music in people's lives in New Mexico. Exactly. And, and, you know, when our foundation chose Candyman, we really realized that this is more than a store. This is a culture here. The, the people that have really made their musical careers with this as a cornerstone through all the years, having people here that they could relate to that they could take lessons from that they could work with and buy in trade instruments with, it is way, more than just walking into a store buying a guitar, it's, you know, it's, it's a great part of a musician's life, right? And the musical community as broad as it is. It's still a very, very tight, Nick Mun. They wanna talk about music. They want to trade Cordes. They wanna trade instruments as you said. So this is kind of the hub in Santa Fe well, for so many musicians, I'd say the high percentage of musicians it comes down to what they're doing with their hands, but they're playing you know whether it's drums. Wins tars whatever that's, that's where their energy is going. And that's what's expressing their art. And so it's really important to have good relationships with, with, you know, people like Cindy, and ran right to, to achieve what you are trying to teach as a musician. Okay. So Candyman strengthen things I'm shocked. They're the winner of the leave work award for twenty nineteen. Yes. All right. So now how many honorees individual honorees? Do we have do? We have we have time. Okay. Well in a can't give the full bio, though. Right. Okay. So in addition to Candyman, there, are, you talk all ET's lemon bars? I'm tempted to jump on. One of those two actually already ate a few of them. So we have five other individuals, and one of the nice things about the pm as is that, where all different John RAs, you know, it's like sit earlier, it's not a you know, any particular linear kind of genre that the sonata Santa Fe music. I mean, this is New Mexico, New Mexico, people who live, predominantly working in Mexico, people, whose careers are central to new New Mexico central to their careers. And these people come to us, first from nomination starting in February anyone in the state can nominate someone who they think is New Mexico music hero. So then after all those are collected in mid March, there's a jury of music industry professionals that get together go through all those right? And, and make the final choice. Gotcha. And we don't call them winters. We call them honorees because everybody was nominated is certainly valid is a great contributor, you music scene. But these people have risen up to a level that, that this group of music professionals feels, you know is worthy celebrating. So, again, different genres, for example, I have to admit. Amazing thing about this is the entire list. I think I knew to something that speaks to kind of statewide across all John RAs. Exactly. And within those John res- that the other four are or the other three would be their fan base is really, really vocal about them, and they're very excited about these people. So if you haven't heard the name, there is a community of John real people who are so happy that they're being self wherever you want. Okay. Well, the classical community Jim Bennell juvenile is lives in Albuquerque's of the Olis' his claim to fame is that he's been representing the rob trust out of the university of New Mexico. And if you don't know what that is. That's named after John, Donald Robb, who's a composer, and the first music director at UNM and was very active in bringing the Spanish folk music to the entire country. So Jim Burnell? Thank you guy behind that. All right next, and from the jazz community Burt, Dalton, one of the two I know in your list, a local favorite union, a terrific jazz player and also terrific educated, g gaining music director later. Yes. School for the arts, right school for the arts. And he's he has trained thousands and thousands of students just a jewel in our community is a Santa Fe based. Okay. There next was new to me as well, but she is the Queen of mariachi, Noberto Fresca's. She runs mariachi spectacular in Albuquerque on the entire event, the entire event, she's amazing, and the, the mariachi and the state that we all have grown to love a lot of it. She was the source to make that happen. We'll think you know, burqa because island and then another one that probably many people are familiar with from the, the native community, Robert, who's an extraordinary artists who's a flute player flute maker, gander. He does everything great band. And he, he has made a unique effort to bring others genres together with native performance. And so he does shows that are just massively entertaining different in important next is from the folk community foot music. New Mexico Cipriano v hill. He is well loved by everybody in the state, who tunes into Hispanic folk music night. And he's, he's a major educator as well the tar player and just a beloved figure. We're happy to celebrate him. And. You talk about these are kind of peer, nominated people from across the state when you guys sent me and allowed me to read, the the honorees on the air a couple of weeks ago when I read gyms name, then I got an Email from Linda Meyer, L, O N, and her husband, FRANZ vote big big people in the classical music. And it was FRANZ who's a internationally famous conductor lives here in Santa Fe, now conducting the greatest symphonies and opera houses in the world, he nominated Jim. And, and they were really happy that, that he was a winner. That's great. That's great and honorary honoree. Yes. Yes. Well, you, you know, these names that we didn't recognize that I that you and I didn't recognize their stories are, are so great that it represents kind of you said this earlier, the, the discovery of these musical treasures, in our state, that, that, you know, for all of us music lovers. We're learning new people to inspire us in this process. David, thank you very much. Thank you for championing and being president of the foundation to keep new New Mexico music, commission, thriving growing and. At some point, you can come back, and we'll talk about kind of the current state of affairs, and maybe people might want to join the commission and might be a possibility or Jordan, your Dacian, correct. Absolutely. Be very happy to talk about that anytime, thank you very much, Richard. You're right to be here. Thirty to thirty one minutes. Have two o'clock kick break. We'll come back and we'll talk to Debbie Collins about small businesses, as well as James Campbell Caruso about lemon bars and music because they fail be along. We'll talk about Jose Jose has been giving for a long, long time to the music community and make music awards in the state and Jason Fitz. See if it wins here. It's just the winner of route one and that's an achievement. Yes. But you're not Boehner of the day yet. You'll have to defeat. The winner of round two's voting we do this again at eight twenty with three more candidates three new ones. And then you decide of of those three who's the winner of round two. Then we take the winner of each round. We throw them into Boehner fight at nine twenty that is when Boehner of the days decided this morning at nine twenty so pick your champion for round one. Now, two candidates now a third after the news once you've heard all three then you will vote and one of you lucky random Boehner voters will receive tickets to the Sundance film festival. All right. Here's Boehner candidate number one. Good work, boys. You almost got it. No, logical advancements created a great divide between generations z and just about everybody else. A dad in Illinois illustrated, this video of two kids trying to dial a number on a rotary phone. Kevin burn instead gave them four minutes to complete the task they failed from behind the camera. Mr. Bernstein gave Jason Kyle burns dead. The instructions the boys lift a box revealing a cream colored rotary telephone they stare at it in wonderment. You have four minutes to dial. That phone number burns dead said placing a yellow pad in front of the phone. That's if one of the team says, that's it with that phone, Mr. Bernstein said the to begin to analyze the device discussing how it might work for four grew. The two slowly figure out how to turn the dial for each number and begin checking off each number. Only problem is they don't ever pick up the receiver. Finally realized that that's the missing piece their time is how it were problem solving skills are impressive trying to learn a new piece of technology can be just as difficult as those older devices. If you've never had the us. Yeah. We we rented that you know, have more on that. They never seen a like a TV show from their moral years older. Good for boys. I almost. Me at all. It's it doesn't surprise me at all because they're idiots nother Boehner's. They know how to do that. There's no reason they should know how to do that. I don't think this there are there are multiple reasons. They don't pay attention to anything where we see that movies TV shows old movies. Hang on even if you've never seen the phone in use. If you're given a task of figure out how the phone works. That piece comes right off the top. Because you say that because you know. Pretty clear that piece is removable. I I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't have figured it out either on and then once you pick up that piece you look at it. And you see there, you know, speakers. No, that's what you're talking to. But you wouldn't necessarily know you have to pick it up before you die. Oh, how many how many movies have you seen where there's a manual transmission car? You've seen it done a million times. If you've never done it before could you get in the car, and drives a little more complicit. I don't think so. Listening for that dial tone is way outdated. I mean every digital phone. You have you can dial the number then you push talk. And then they go and then it calls so having to pick up a receiver and listen before you dial for a dial tone. That's that's the disconnect for you guys. 'cause you're 'cause you've never had a genuinely curious person, regardless of their age would be able to figure out the phone, even even but they never even picked it up. That's the point. You don't pick up till you die a little. But even if they had dialed and then picked it up, but they didn't even pick it up. They didn't realize that they were supposed to pick it up at all. I don't think this should be Boehner candidate number one. Boehner candidate number two. I'm not here. A fugitive wrote a note on a mattress for flavor county deputies stating that he was aware. The house deputy said that they found Mr. pack curled up into fetal position into a fetal position inside a small wooden dresser with a pillow. Mr. pack at a pack of cigarettes and a glass pipe residue deputy said stayed there for days natural deputies. He hid in the dresser. "And then who else would it be? So when they drafted Dobbs in two thousand seventeen seem pretty obvious. You had those three quarterbacks rob burger Jones Dobbs. Now last year was thinking well there is Joshua Dobbs. They just drafted masonry off in the third but Bennell they cut Jarvis Landry. Jones Landry Jones is on employed currently last I checked, and so you now you have this depth chart that is not set in stone. Everyone might think that Joshua's because he was number two. This year will be number two next year. There is something about Mason Rudolph that is intriguing. Me. And maybe it's because I haven't seen him in the NFL that much outside the preseason actually at all outside the preseason. So let's go to Dave. I wanted to tell me what you think going to play out the the backup spot behind Rosberg or coming into next season. All right. You want the stats? I. Before later stats. All right. I thought there was a chance that when they decided to keep Dobbs over Jones because I think we all realize that's what it came down to. It was never a question of whether or not it was going to be Rudolph. I thought there could have been at some point this season where they made the change. When who is who was second who was third. I thought it was possible, but not necessarily that it could happen next year. I think it's really going to be a competition between the two. And they're just going to basically leave it up for their for their play in camping in the preseason. He heating wins out. Stuff to say, we haven't seen Ruto. I don't know Dobbs. He's he's such a good guy. You just want to root for him so much, but Rudolph I think is really going to be the guy. He's gonna be the one. That if something happens where Ben goes down. I think that's who you're going to see coming in the play. It could even be a situation like like some people thought this past year that. Dobbs was more prepared to be the guy that dressed every game to be the backup. But if Ben would have got injured say week six, and there was going to be a long stretch that they might have given route off the shot that that could be it really depends on his progression. From that year one to year two of just learning the NFL can he take the snaps under center. Can he do all those other things I was actually there? The last time he threw a pass a game. I was at the fourth preseason game. And I I really liked what I saw not granted he was playing with a bunch of guys whose names people didn't know going against a bunch of guys whose names, you know. But I I liked what I liked what he did. And will I just he's just gotta move forward. He's got a progress. I mean, I feel that Dobbs really progressed from one to two if Rudolph progresses much Dobbs did that I think he takes over on has moxie. The I I love that word second. Reminds me of Jonathan mocks in from varsity blues, which is one of my favorite sports time. But he has that edge. But he's he's such a professional, man. When you listen to him in interviews. I've said this before it reminds me of listening to Sidney Crosby always cool always calm, always professional and he's got that chip to him. If Dave creepy from wrong wasn't at the fourth preseason game where he got hit late after he scored a rushing touchdown. And he and he went after that guy as I. I like that. I like it. It's the first time in my life. And I've said this multiple occasions is the first time in my life that I've honestly been excited about the future at the quarterback position for the Steelers. But Brian we spend it over to you. Now, what are your thoughts on two and three? How do you shaking out? Well, first of all your varsity blues fan, I use I refuse to wear a whip cream the caney. This show. I'm just telling you right now. But I days. Thanks banker. Speaking my language. Number two..
