How John Ondrasik Found Himself Recording With a Ukrainian Orchestra

"You know it's out there on the streaming the streaming platforms the video with the Ukrainian orchestra that we filmed in key 6 weeks ago in front of the Maria the plane that Putin destroyed is available on all the youtubes rumble So just Google save the world with Ukrainian orchestra and it's out there You actually want to give you where'd you find the orchestra That was a good question It's kind of a crazy story Ironically it started with Afghanistan after I had written blood on my hands I somehow find myself embedded with these incredible private groups rescuing Americans and Afghan allies and one of the groups was a group called save our allies You know them well marked because they were the people who saved Benjamin hall's life In Russia I literally saw the ambulance that he was in and I met the man who drove it and saved his life And they were operating in Afghanistan and we were doing some work there and when Ukraine started they moved their operations I'd written the song and one man saved the world And they knew about it And we thought well why don't we do a song with the Polish orchestra because Poland has been so great in this conflict And I asked when to say about Alex folks to connect with them and they said let me call you back And two days later they said how would you like to do with the Ukrainian orchestra And I said exactly what you did Do they exist And it turns out they're scattered across the country but the Ukrainian military was really on board for this project And so we somehow got them a 6 hour window to record the song and I found myself in Kyiv after a crazy journey and there we were in front of the Maria with the orchestra playing this song It was surreal and a minor miracle

Christopher Phillips Questions Brian Stelter Over CNN's Ethics

"Kid named Chris Phillips, who's a freshman at the University of Chicago. And he went to a some panel discussion that the Atlantic magazine was hosting that Brian stelter from CNN was on the panel. And this young man stood up and said the following to CNN's Brian stelter. Hi, thank you for coming. My name is Christopher Phillips. I'm a first year at the college. My question is for mister stelzer. You've all spoken extensively about Fox News being a purveyor of disinformation. But CNN is right up there with them. They push the Russian collusion hoax. They push the Jussie Smollett hoax. They smear justice Kavanaugh as a rapist and they also smeared Nick salmon as a white supremacist. And yes, they dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop affair as pure Russian disinformation. With mainstream corporate journalists becoming little more than apologists and cheerleaders for the regime, is it time to finally declare that the canon of journalistic ethics is dead or no longer operative. All the mistakes of the mainstream media and CNN in particular seem to magically all go in one direction. Are we expected to believe that this is all just some sort of random coincidence or is there something else behind it? It's too bad it's time for lunch. You have 30 seconds. No, there's a clock that says 30 seconds, but I think my honest answer to you, and I will come over and talk in more detail after this. Is that I think you're describing a different channel than the one that I watch. But I understand that that is a popular right wing narrative about CNN. I think it's important. When we talk about shared reality and democracy, all of these networks, all these news outlets have to defend democracy. And when they screw up, admit it. But when Benjamin hall, the fox correspondent, was wounded in Ukraine. The news crews at CNN and The New York Times stopped what they were doing. And they all cared about the injured Fox News reporter and that's

"Like to start today with a little bit of bad news But some news you all need to hear There is a colleague of ours over at Fox News Benjamin hall you may have heard he's a reporter You probably seen him on TV He was involved in an incident there yesterday apparently a vehicle they were in They opened fire on the vehicle Benjamin was injured still in the hospital but one of the cameramen there who spent a lot of time in war zones very brave guy Pierre Cece he didn't make it Really really terrible news the CEO of Fox Suzanne Scott sent out an email before I mean tragic all the people were losing over there but they went over there to give you the story They're not they're not combatants Just like the civilians killed more and combatants And Benjamin was shot some pretty rough shape too It's a really tragic story and I don't mean to start with this but it's a priority to me and it's on my mind You can probably tell but it just made me think briefly if you're a story about these war photographers editors and people who go over there and reporters and reports from war zones You know it takes a lot of guts to do that It takes a lot of guts to do that I just remember being in we had gotten in kind of a bad situation and Kingston Jamaica when we were on this detail with Jenna Bush and there was a camera crew there recording for a special they were doing for ABC or something like that And when we got back to the hotel later it was kind of we were kind of trapped at the end of an alleyway with a bunch of folks that had come out with machetes and so they didn't know who we were So it got a little ugly and you know I still have the video footage of it from those guys but it was interesting we got back to the hotel We were like all right everybody needs to calm down And there was a little bar at the hotel We all had a couple of adult sodas if you know what I mean afterwards and I was talking to the cameraman and you know we're supposed to be these big tough Secret Service guys right And it was fascinating I said to the cameraman I'm like hey you never stop recording the whole time I said matter of fact you never took the camera down off your ride like you would think you'd want both eyes to see what was going on I mean it was a little hairy And he's like ah that was nothing He goes that was nothing He goes I remember Mogadishu or something filming over there and that was far worse He didn't even think anything of it And I just thought to myself gosh these guys have you know just grapefruits man They really do They've got a lot of nerve and a lot of guts And through his family you got a real hero there Pierre chips he was gummy you know my God rest your soul or really sorry to hear the awful news And I hope Benjamin hall hope he can get through this You know folks I love this place a lot And it's interesting because right before we came on the show the crew here and I were chatting and there's a real schism developing in the conservative side This Ukraine Russia thing is tearing people apart on our side Forget about the left for a minute I know my show focuses largely on the shortfalls of the left But on our side there's a real schism developing There are camps developing on each side There's the we have to do everything to stop Putin camp and then there's the I believe the middle ground camp which I believe I'm in some people may characterize that differently where I believe you know Putin is an evil global terrorist I have no doubt about that Who is a threat to global order I have zero doubt about that But I believe we have to be calculating here and we have to take care of our country first and do whatever we can to avoid World War three or incentivizing any kind of a nuclear strike I think that's important I think that's a fair middle ground And then there's another side that just thinks Ukraine can do no right And Vladimir Putin's not that bad And it's a real schism on the right And it's devolved into personal attacks and hits on people and listen opinions or opinions Everybody's got one They're like holes If you know what I mean everybody's got an opinion But the hard reality is I love this country And I think about this country first in this country matters to me more than anything I'm a dad To two daughters who we have to give them and hand them this country that was handed to us by a generation I dealt with a lot more tragedy and heartbreak than we did We have never been through what they've been through World War II Vietnam or we've never been through that A lot of our military folks have sacrificed and went over to Iraq and Afghanistan We've lost thousands over there But we've never been involved in a global World War where the threat of losing was the threat of us being forced to live under fascism or communism That hasn't happened to our generation We have heroes our military heroes they've unquestionably been in combat We've had things happen here We've had 9 11 but we haven't had a deal with the global threat Hitler and Stalin provided against the United States We haven't had to deal with that And I think amongst the left specifically it's created this kind of this softness this side I don't know how to describe it You know describe them as snowflakes or whatever it is but this constant urge to want to threaten the United States and I'm not threatening it That's a bad word to kind of disparage the United States and make us look like the bad guy in the world stage And the reason I think that is because they don't have a foil right They haven't seen what a real bad guy looks like when it's threatening you when it's up in your face getting ready to muggle rob you They haven't seen that So they just get that they have nothing better to do than the sitting in their basements eating hot pockets And what do they do because they don't have a real bad guy to focus on They have to invent one and the bad guy is us Well I love this place This place matters to me I feel my obligation And our obligation is to hand to our kids and our grandkids a better place that was handed to us And because of that I believe we have to fix this place first before we can fix any other place not that we can help But I think what's happening here and what worries me as evidenced by the continued attacks on Tulsi Gabbard Tucker Carlson white people in our own party Mitt Romney the sellout and others is their forgetting that some of these same tactics that.
