"Now Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Albright on K O a news radio. I got to get out early on, Benjamin that if I get you talking, you'll divide divulge enough information. Yeah, I remember when I used to have you on my radio show on a different station. I would be interested. Hey, What do you think is gonna happen with Emmanuel Sanders? Oh, you know, I think that he's a strong candidate be traded the trade deadline. Okay, okay. I mean, you know what kind of teams would be interested in that? Well, I mean, there's a couple teams out there. Yeah, but But where would be the the best fit? Well, I think the 40 Niners are probably the best there. He's going to the 40. Niners. Yeah, Yeah. Just keep me talking long enough for those who don't know during the during the break. Ryan and I like to banter a little bit. And Ryan will when he's stuck on something in the probe become challenge that we do on the around the station. When he stuck on something he will suddenly start to sow the seeds, and then he'll water the seeds a little bit, and I'll see what grows. And then he'll come back and make his pick. And I just basically tricked myself into giving away who I think is going to win the Seahawks and the Rams and in a Ryan had been waffling on that one. And I should have. I should have gone a different direction with that. Thanks without I should have. I should have gone full. Sift Lord with that one, But I think it's to catch you while you're sort of half doing something else. Yeah. There you go with the hood over things to catch you while you're doing half the time. I'm not paying attention, not really paying great attention And then I'm gonna ask. You know, I have a hard time getting you gets Rust. Wilson, You're back to back weeks. If you know there's no way they lose this game, right? You're like, Well have the Rams and Gerry Goffin home and like, Oh, yeah, That's a really good point. Thank you, and I click the Rams and you're like what we could think about a suit is you like, realize that you just help me with my program man. She likes too late. That's too late, So I'm.

"Edwards Benjamin Albright's strong start on a Monday like that although I did kind of like the the Happy Birthday stuff that was fine we also did the Titanic theme one time for open nice nice Holbrook about having a birthday yeah I know no mold your S. O. we held now you've called a trial he had to throw away old well one pair of jeans and sections of the amounts in the now I yeah I got I got two of the one no I guarantee that wear a jeans I got rid of like a pair at some point it's repair genes are not available mom jeans and they'll Polish as an eagle yeah it does not affect you got rid of nail Polish already yeah it was a weird look where to look I mean that the Turk what is one thing I would like the machine gray over every said the like the gun metal grey gunmetal gray that wouldn't like I kind of have a little bit of an edge email to me yeah clear guidelines but the the turquoise yeah I I I I had this vision of like driving I know usually I'm tended to write on the web so you are yes yeah by the way for those who don't know Ryan sits in a perfect ninety degree angle to the right we operate with the seat back in the most vertical possible position that you can get it hesitated to entire time struck some of that's true but I've written with your the stadium publication city ways so I realize that the account had an interesting look if you look in your rear view mirror you saw that this turquoise handed like because I got really self conscious about my hand on the wheel it's six I go through my head attention I don't I don't know I mean aside from me when I'm right with you to make things you pointed out that you're like I could accomplish so he worked to get your front row yet words yeah because you said okay I I does your drive behind me tend to hire a certain big fun to me so now I'm let's see what's now thinking about the people in front of me looking back at my turquoise this is doing that are doing that because I'm me I'm the weirdo seizing people don't usually do that well look at that do you do you do that you look at other people's cars while they're driving three oh three seven one three eighty five eighty five is also known five six six nine zero is our tax levy a fun show for you tonight we're gonna do a lot of really cool stuff local Broncos conversations we're gonna pull question up here just a little bit as well Jeff Tedford former Fresno state head coach is going to join us we'll talk about a tiny movie also argue course coach diraja cal we'll talk a little quarterbacks with him about the development the path to development of drew lock Villani from Denver Broncos dot com Broncos TV is also going to join us give us some interesting conversations in around a couple articles from Albert Breer today talked about how the Broncos are a bit of an out liar and what they're trying to do at the quarterback position which by the way explains a lot of the national media narrative that the Broncos are complete there she actually kind of broken down about why the Broncos specifically are a little bit of an out liar in the way they're approaching the quarterback position I thought was kind of interesting we are at and you know I I've always said that it looks like they're they're building a team it's plug and play for whoever the quarterback is going to be drew lock is going to get a one year audition to be that guy and he's either going to take the job or he's not going to be able to take the job in the going to be right in line for a draft pick next year to to to plug and play this ready made office I still love it I still don't love it and they don't love it either the national media who cares what they think well tell you what I think okay but I'm it's a weird moment for me to align with those people what do you mean well I think you know what I mean by those people I'm I'm talking about the national media it's not usually the case most of the ice the pinky finger up it's not usually the case I'm usually on that side of it where I'm like yeah the the national museum or the talking about if they cover this team meaning that they if they just ask anybody that covered the team they know better the kind of got a point on this one I'm not saying bringing came due to the kind of a point about what the Broncos are doing is a little bit off kilter ugh ugh I'll explain here not well I'm gonna listen I'm gonna listen and then and then I'm gonna tell you why they're an idiot so there was a really funny thing that happened I'd like to order I don't know man Twitter is a bit of a mess these days let's let's be honest these days what do you mean these days what do you in the states listen Twitter and Facebook even worse but but Twitter is Twitter is tough because this is where we get a lot of our news from right right this is where a lot of the the people that are movers and shakers asymmetry they go in the three things out and there's all sorts of interesting feedback all sorts of stuff wherever I found something funny I found something I actually enjoy humor so twelve stop the presses everyone it blew my mind because in in the reality of things right now there's just so much by being there so much I don't know hot takes out there and of course you have the stuff that happened on the car springs which is really damn it I'm sorry bed down in testosterone sorry cats rock that's kind of dominating what Twitter is right now okay so and and and of course we can go back and forth on all that opinion but our guy Ryan Koenigsberg from de enviar found this clip and I don't know if you listen to the whole podcast or if you just happen upon this could cause somebody else said to him but he happened upon any tweet out this clip from a raiders podcast I don't listen to other team podcasts they may all be like this okay I certainly can't say that I've ever sat through an entire raiders podcast me have you ever suffered horrendous podcast I've been on a few yeah as a guest yeah like can you tell me why the Broncos suck so much pretty much this is China with a laughing stock you know to be right that's why I think it's so slow the Broncos have negative winds and I'm like dude have you seen your franchise for the last decade and a half like the Gruden to Gruden Errol the in between the group merece yeah was a wasteland here's a stat I saw earlier today about how bad the raiders over the last twenty years they only have one more playoff win then relocations or die four playoff wins since two thousand three relocations my name the tumbleweed you saw US the security where you actually heard it on radio it's very rare to hear a tumbleweed blow through her radio but listen I wear to play this audio there's a lot wrong here okay so I I mean but but everything I mean I look up for you what is except her just yet is trash talking and all this kind of stuff going on here structures talking is good but it's only good when both teams are good we're not good but it's just kind of sad yeah yeah I guess it is but these two teams believe they're both turning up well one of the best the other is the raiders who I went out with all their money this offseason and didn't get better on defense you don't understand that they did still had rocks a better you you can explain this to me before in place are you going to explain this to me okay what is your car still there because they could not loaded they try to train for two years and have about you you want to say that your team on the rise you want to see that your team is going to be competing for something get your quarterback is not the quarterback you what you've made that abundantly clear this is a truly everybody this last year of his deal that's it so just hang on to be there other years they have team options but this last year to deal with any money in it so they have to have on their side with them they are they tried all floated for two years once the Miami Dolphins I could work in this past year the Chicago Bears network M. Boulevard okay the money that there's listen it looks at this point there's no better option on the roster and it's too much money so you just roll with it and see if it finally gets it if you don't I don't he doesn't eat up I don't have anything against Derek Carr well I think he's okay but he's he's just a guy that's it that's it he's just a guy he just got in it and then in the end when I say cut him I mean you you make this financially worth it for somebody else you send them pics you say will pay arsenal I started doing that I know but but the thing about it is when you want to be a team this is my logic here if you want to be a team that's on the rise if you wanna be a team that's competing for something don't you have to have your quarterback in place what else are you doing if you don't they were one game away from playoffs last year with I mean they're not great they finished third division behind the Denver Broncos but because of that loss to drew lock at the end of the season to counter what once I get that lost the door lock in the season young guys point out what you know what to make sure we got that in there but if you today I mean you know they were they were one game away from the playoffs with with it last year they added some speed receiver they think they got better you know kind of across the board so you know I why not why not roll with it one more year and see what you got are you really going to be there when it got Marcus Mariota they did do that and they feel like that you know that city insurance policy I don't know why Nathan Peterman is still on that roster I don't know what photographs of of Jon Gruden Mike Mackey has a compromise data sheet are meant by now I don't know what others have like egg ended to be honest if Nathan Peterman ever has to play for the raiders and doesn't throw a pick Jon Gruden stock will go through the moon we had the three headed monster of Derek Carr Mike Clendenin Nathan Peterman it would make him a carrot in there somewhere too she put there before headed Jabberwocky listing is sick.

"Country to draw a little worse Benjamin Albright's himself on the phone three of three seven one three eighty five eighty five or five six six nine zero a particular reason for the music here Anthony just only want to hear it is eighties night on a Friday it is it's funny for so long so long I had really it took to get to know because we've look we hadn't been on we have been doing right with and broadcasting the show you know the songs called bell holy smokes but but but what will get Alexis back on the show next we'll get that try to get this straight away next week a week yeah yeah hoping hoping we could do that but yeah back to normal issue just now realize all the music we've been planned Wednesday night I mean I do but I really had forgotten about gonna lately I guess that we're just all of Angie's not a nice hard work I knew what was going on yeah I I appreciate you guys yeah this enhances detailer eight or nine right I suppose good sick no it's it's just a matter of fact that's boy you just said is also true why is all good music interface means that rise over devoting it up do it really is not like that anything going on around it just to listen it's always terrible to techno producer let's be real wow but it would have an appreciation for it to be the guy who did it right there on the bus passes me who has no idea like I have no clue Ryan just has this just this history of treating techno producer just up most respect ingrained as Ryan can you just you know just look that was like look I did that for a long time I know how easy it is you know looks at night about it literally the opposite action and defend the ring I was just saying nice things about you moments before we came on the air yeah we actually countries dropping so we kept trying to say your name to catch you and see if your extravagant no I know that trick I try to I I have a light up thing when you click the right button cell yeah Joe rolls good choice here a little bit he's gonna tell Ben had what a mistake it would be to extend gear bowls but we have a poll question up we'd like to know your opinion on it your bowls this today was notified that the fifth year option was not on the table anymore was declined so if he can somehow get back into rhythm like he was in the final stretch of the season with Sherlock would you consider extending and then at the beginning of the season right now well over forty one percent of you say let him play out this next year and go from there with brown twenty seven twenty eight percent say yeah I consider given extension if he plays well at the beginning of the season and then twenty four percent say milk he go after this year twenty four percent have already made up their mind days gone on durables what was the what my vote was the percentage seven and a half seven percent yes it seven percent I don't I taught a man just what I have faith in our audience I I thought about you guys but in this I I honestly I had more faith in you guys and now I feel let down Joe rolls from mile high report is joining us here on the Broncos country tonight Joe you are not a big Gera bowls guy you've made that abundantly clear throughout the course of the last couple of days on Twitter and and I can appreciate that I think that we get sometimes swept up in the moment of things in there Benjamin of course has been pounding the table to give their bowls an extension so I thought we'd have a little bit of a pow wow here on our show and I I I need you to explain to been why you don't want that to happen so I'm I'm in the camp where I would have picked up Garibaldi option but I also don't think in the long term option as the starting left tackle I like the idea that the because the he's under the old CBA the fifth year option would have been guaranteed for injury only I think it would have given Denver more time to possibly grab a developmental tackle and you don't have to necessarily Russian in an ad that point we can do is if that guy shows enough promise you can let balls go approve them or trade them or because with the way tackle contracts that kind of started to blow up again it's probably a movable asset but that said now they didn't do that I'm okay with not picking up the option what I don't like is I don't think bowls is gonna come along enough to really justify keeping around long term and with your lock and like most of the core the Broncos offense on a rookie on rookie contracts ever can afford to splurge on a left tackle they need you and if there's somebody out there next off season is definitely worth doing I could see that either way I look at it was this is your it is the Broncos was never in a more actionable position with regards to negotiating with goals because you did have the fifth year option your back pocket it will do is you come in and you offer and basically Billy Turner money and you say look we're willing to offer you this will guarantee will fully guaranteed twelve million other will offer you three years twenty five Mabel guarantee half of it you're gonna be the starter you know their left tackle or you know you gotta be swing tackle back up money like Billy Turner and enroll from there and I S. I felt like the the that approach to me you're committing something to him you're guaranteeing of some money which would otherwise get but you're keeping him on a vastly below market deal with still allows you the opportunity to explore another tackle whether that's the draft whether that's free agency whatever it ended did you watch if they're probably going to get out from under that after this season ideal so it's so it's it there's going to be a bunch of money the way I just looked at those I can get a got a below market deal if he doesn't pan out well then you've got your back up and and there you go I mean it's a guarantee for a loan off I'd definitely be open to it and I actually listen to this segment and I thought that makes sense especially when you had the fifth year option how looming over it because he had a reason to accept a lower market deal the thing with turning down the option now is I don't know boldly boulder valley don't wanna bet on himself because he does come along this year he's intimate detail please money probably in the morning and I hope I hope they got Denver doesn't do that because I don't think he's worth that no we don't either and that's that's kind of where he's talking about as being an actionable situation is if you let this thing play out and and unfortunately we said this earlier in the show Joe is that John always kind of done that a lot like they have there's one like people going out there for reasons that they haven't necessarily like that things that John Elway is done that's one of my biggest gripes is he sometimes lets these thing play a little bit longer than you should and as a result of it he ends up paying to have your freight then he could have had if things got done earlier well and that's that's kind of my fear going forward dividend like I thought I think Ben had a really good point about way back when you have the figure option if you could have got him on a deal where you guarantee this year and a little bit next year but if he really thinks about you still can get out from under it just because if something does happen with James and they have to move on from a tackle you don't want to have to be looking for to tackle right in one offseason that's bad but now now it's like no option both going to have the leverage like if I was both of this point I would say I want to test the market because he's probably gonna stay healthy like he he doesn't get hurt are you doesn't get hurt seriously enough to miss time and he has even proved in certain areas from what I've seen I just don't think he's improved enough in the areas you really need a left tackle to improve that you can count on him to be the guy that you want starting left tackle going forward I think that makes sense no no it makes total sense I think the way I'm looking at this and and maybe I'm not selling this the way I I should be solved the wearable K. I don't figure bulls gonna magically turned into a Pro Bowl left tackle I know that all the way I look at it is he's always available and he can sort of be a pseudo solid store while you're looking for the guy that's eventually going to be the star there that that's the way I was looking at this is like Hey let's try and see if we could sneak him on a below market deal if we can well that we've got a reliable option there that's at least going to show up every day because you never know on the right hand side and and go from there no I I agree with that I I I think he's the guy at best I think if everything comes up roses with them I think he's a guy you can win with I think right now bolder than left tackle your winning in spite of because what what is his biggest weaknesses is true pass that on Burt lake vertical assets and you know to stay even even over the five games when what lock is playing if you watch the third downs it shows up with you have a lot of trouble speed doesn't set the entire not we end up looking like it's kind of a door hinge it turned out really quickly what I end up doing a pocket collapses they didn't get hands up in time so he yes the trend recovering is the feature cover but the end of getting pushed into the pocket a lot especially if somebody can converse with the power and what that does is what lock lock kind of made it look okay because you can get away from it but it's not a bold is actually improving it's just that the offense around him was that good enough to actually survive it so what is that in your opinion after watching those five games was that project for this year I mean I think it's going to more the same I'm I'm I thought a lot more Shurmur's offense because when I watch it the first time I wasn't watching just what was happening with the office of line so I have to go back and kind of like look and see how much he was asking them to do that article pass that on I watched one game today and I saw some of it but I do think there's ways to kind of mitigated if you can kind of manage how often you have to ask them to do that but when Denver gets into third and long situations it's gonna be a thing and there's ways to survive it can you can you can don't properly you can try and you know use motion like that's one way hammer might help if you have a spread of somebody going around on motion behind that tackle the edge might have to stop for a little bit but.

"Country Tonite Ryan Edwards Benjamin Albright's much better music tonight opening the show to last sites do you like this so I do yeah it's what you I hate it lyrically because it's all mixed metal blinds that a formal songs really it's like a large percentage of irony you know ironic because no actual irony in it whatsoever this is they are trying to give Angie a compliment that's catchy song that I did that last night we open with something weird it was bizarre nobody wants that items it's like some kind of Dave Matthews cover basically yeah basically we don't nobody wants that and so tonight we did with much much better thank you Angie very good stuff and you still add entries roar producing a program at Anthony route thirty three if you already have banned it what is the name of the what is the name of event that would break at the end there's a little something like a quilt it was the one from the doctor like a quilt we're actually it is like like kids like babies like blankets and stuff yeah that's why the laws of this show one minute we'll whose it was the ban the plate just found out last night was the periwinkle Afghans I think you're somehow just now right now the interrupters they're really there to interrupt okay I'm stumped I look at the program got a lot of fun tonight we're going to a check in here just a little bit with Audrey Snyder writes for the athletic talk about Penn state football what to brokers get in K. J. hammer and can Audrey offer suggestions on how we can fix DaeSean Hamilton I am putting the over under on it been making a drop shot in the hands of the sun reference add one because if he makes any more than that that we're really gonna have to turn off my K. Y. would you what would you call a Broncos player that why would why are you so derogatory go where do you think I get my negativity in life I have not all of it goose provoca it's funny I I come into the show I have I have a very blessed life I have a very good life I have great kids I got a so so dog I have a more wonderful wife and then like I I leave the show gritting my teeth all the way home I wonder why I you know I think that you're just upset that you got to go back to that mediocre dog it's gonna be the dog that will do that dog dog is is this a lot of work I want to have met those those lucky yes I've mailed the notice is a lot of work a little item in the kennel tonight screamed his head off for like it always does it look visually we're all going to go back into the world is he this is the one mistake I made we have a lot of football to get to but there's the one mistake I made is I was thinking you know we're gonna be home for a while it's good dog because you know we want to get a dog for a while we lost our daughter fall in so we got a new puppy but what I didn't think about was the dog will get attached to the idea that all four of us were around all the time right end on top of that there's nobody else in his role because we don't social with people like like we cry once in awhile see the in laws and once in a while only been dropped by it makes the price that's about it right I'm not I'm not even gonna know but you know what I'm saying like but the one was the big mistake I made with this is I was thinking like oh yeah will be around to be great we can work with dog all the time to be good but but the dog now expects us to be there every day and that's just not gonna happen I told my mother when this was happening that she needed to to get a puppy so they would have something to do I shouldn't listen to you she did not they they went out bought a horse instead and I feel like it's less dependent you will get the horse I mean you know because you don't like horses they bit different rules but my different roles the horse the horse hangs out with the two donkeys that she already had yeah it up on the farm with the the bears in the mountain lions and yeah I know I know you feel a lot of pets up there it's weird because like openings up there so it's like yeah it's it's like the tiger king but with equestrians and not Tigers I don't know of that show would do as well probably not no I I I don't think that the fear factor come visit my mother's donkey Shrek and Fiona but like if you if you put some like ominous music underneath it may maybe like maybe like Manson was about to happen that worse is listener side ways she's the Carole Baskin of quarter horses I don't think you're put that out to be a better mom help pro not now because there's some kind of Tatian with that denotation connotation what yeah that's right one one of miss one of okay we're gonna have to Coleman the third stage one is he's a Broncos UDFA safety from Texas tech at eight six this last year we had like eleven is time there at Texas tech but he's a ball hawk and he's one of the band's favorites I led the UDFA class uses brought my favorite so Ben is going to tells why come a.

"Forget into Benjamin Albright's big board on cornerbacks profit I want to say hi what's a profit how are you good evening Mister Edwards good evening Mr Yuri that's ever been on the job no my goodness love it it it you right now but do you see that right I mean you see the resemblance it wasn't even when he had his hair style all you know style he he actually with the guy liner and the flare it's just a little darker than the cold the gold jacket I mean I saw your tweet the gold jacket for crying out loud been how do how do you find that because he found one with the real active and that was a polarizing R. IDA it's overdue would probably felt that when I was like oh you were it's done yeah it's over got it yeah I got email all right proper work work we do for the Mets could hear from you what well it right in and good to hear you guys in your right hand what should that makes me feel like things are right in the world again thank you we appreciate I'm back in my bag get ready to go to Vegas for the draft you think you should do to share you can watch it from out there yes you will be at the Arab spring from that posters I reject your reality and did my own mmhm yep limit the bus yeah it would be I say you could go you could go there you'd be awfully lonely I've seen the pictures of the strip lately and it is it'd Baron if you've ever been out there to make it over under bet with a friend of mine when we can go back and play poker in we've got a better July first I got the under okay by I bet I would go with June first that's where it's at the line personally yeah I I think I think under on July first okay I I've seen so many marks that have the run on the wide receivers in the early teens what Albright is stopping you from turning up the taps nothing nothing stop me from doing if you firmly believe and if I were the general manager and I do firmly believe in a single player I would take I would do what it takes to get out there get the cost to move from fifteen to ten for the Arizona Cardinals a couple years ago when they moved up for Josh Rosen was pick fifteen a third rounder and a fifth rounder and I would absolutely pay a third and a fifth to go up and get hand rocks I would have no trouble with that whatsoever I don't know the Broncos rugs number one blight you know I I I I'm saying by the math if they're happy with any of the three receivers then the math suggests that you just stay put and watch which everyone falls in your lap are you are you happy if we end up with ten law instead of one received no I'm not I'm really not went what we gonna do draft into it like we set into place on cable at that point I agree so that that that that becomes my problem let's you play with AC at the nose and then you can start a movie I don't see why this is such a crazy idea three half million for Purcell to not play yeah you're you're paying him as an insurance policy guide the enclosure to rotate guys in and out and you're in need of the factors you need depth there are we thinking by the way we shall be here so when your deal with Mike Purcell to one year deal and without demarcus Walker on a one year deal with all that it's okay but next year will be in the same situation all over again not a big deal you got free agency next to get the draft next year you have later draft picks each one of the best now what why not what is a lawyer and a doodling around the Broncos have done this before John always done this before he has drafted straight on strength he did not say USA list was Shane ray Bradley Roby love people like are you drafted outside linebacker thank you Hashem harbor hatchery the question was would I be happy no I wouldn't because we take not feel it what we do is driven Jones got Vic Fangio jumped up and down the treasure player what what rotation they did have a rotation last year the S. six edge as a rotational river restore how to play ninety percent yeah whatever is it pass rushers really different and besides they had they ended up having injuries well and you probably will have injuries but I mean it I'm look at this thing on like this the you know are we drafted a guy who's an injury insurance policy a contract insurance policy can so these are the guys next year the first round that's not how it's so how I roll maybe they do it so how I would do it anything else product was real quick yep and I'm not sure I thank the thing the other day I'm not sure if you guys ever got it on the air or not what is stopping double check from stocking a roomful of scalp and coaches are it is the NFL really could be monitored I got your take profits could hear from you all the best junior family thank you right back at nothing to stop or make it sit there behind the camera I mean you could do that mute the microphone have everybody back there to another room and and go for that and I suspect that more than one team will probably do that it's not like the NFL's gonna have minders at every every house the stuff is going on now granted I believe the head coach and general manager each have camera set ups so those camisetas better look different like it's a different house or you can get figured out pretty quick but for the rest of the staff I don't think that that would be too difficult split between the two places and hide them in off camera I suspect you'll you'll have a team or two doing that you're ready to talk about your big board the cornerbacks yeah we talk about I want to get to the marquise Goodwin stuff to eventually we're we're gonna have to get that maybe we'll get that in the next segment wifi Daniel Popper joining us as well talk about the Chargers what they're gonna do a pick six but the the marquise Goodwin thing definitely picked up my interest just a little bit just a little bit so I will get to that coming up next hour also we're from John Elway you have a chance to hear from the GM you spoke to a couple interesting little tidbits things we can pull away from that as far as the Broncos plans but here we are couple days away from the unveiling of Benjamin Albright's mock draft the one and only can do that on Wednesday night don't want to miss that here on Broncos country tonight we've been going over each position group your top ten players and now work cornerbacks tomorrow we're gonna go to safeties number one cornerback everybody should know the chef I could not do this and brainer pretty obvious he's the most complete corner the T. the drop off from him to the next couple of quarters is severe why some people had CJ Henderson above Jeff okay what's weird to it's weird what are some people that have close I can tell you that there are people that have a very close but I think the eight CJ Henderson fits a very specific scheme you really want him in a man's game you want him in the weed Philip style defense you know I think I think that's the best fit for him I don't see him playing well in a in a cover three scheme I don't see him well in the two in a Tampa two or a cover for scheme what we have here I think you want him in a cover one cover zero like we used to run I guess is best fit okay all right who's number two in in that regard it would be CJ in that specific instead of using it will better their benefits that will be all accounts will have the stuff we want to look at you over they're producing yeah just be a bed we have production here usually were doing this thing it's my laptop and it's the two of us on the couch so right there we go several we recently yeah I see it it felt weird go ahead yeah just posted for capacity member lower side here CJ Henderson number two number three provide B. X. X. criminally underrated I get a good player too stiff now I think I think you can loosen up a little bit easier to get the blood lines too I think he's a guy that the translates well the NFL is gonna be a starter probably number two or number three corner only NFL that's that's gonna be good at what he does in the end that's something that's important to parse out here right because were are talking about guys that that have the upside potential to be a one but we don't really know that what you're aiming for after could us and maybe Henderson depending on how you view of your ramen for guys that could be a solid number two yeah maybe work up to something else just here right.

"Broncos country tonight with Ryan Edwards said Benjamin Albright on KO a what it was been already get back into yeah it is one eight one Wednesdays and put you back into our conversation about what that Kathleen bell Tucker but we had out of eyeliner bring a good friend the program for the draft network Trevor sicula Tampa Bay tray on Twitter one of trade how are you man Hey you guys that you're always gonna be it yet yeah man how you enjoy your new digs here to night near Charlotte here in Charlotte North Carolina I got a date they were wonderful city although the weather basically changes with each hour of the day so it's been a little bit get you still here yeah I was just wondering how for your love for Gerald McCoy was going to go that you're following stock to stop but I guess we just see where this thing is going yeah I get that ball into the end of the year right I mean that's basically the path that I'm on at this point though is I know you have created both have to be regarded neck that'll probably tell your I'm in and out yeah when you're when you're behind the eyes yeah yeah you'll just you'll you'll move there and then of course will become a charger and then you know I I guess you'll have to move to LA not a bad place to live so I would have said that's what I that's what I'm saying Hey so where were we were talking quite a bit about see you I'm I'm sure you obviously saw the news well what Mel Tucker ended up doing you left see you after one year went to Michigan state but it did make me think about asking you on live discussion all because we got some news on him today of course you deal with a groin injury where do you come down on love this guy a I I see some guys idols even some guys on your website I think a bit of a soul I chasm up pretty high and yet there's other people that kind of don't necessarily even have been the first round would come down to this guy yeah I don't know what will this you should all incredible count right and I don't necessarily want to stay here this same type of impact it's a past my homes Halle because obviously a quarterback vision impaired compared to a wide receiver but in the sense of what Patrick my homes was with a unique talent that he is yeah I remember it impassable homes goes to maybe a different franchise story might not be merely what it is today at the Superbowl champion but instead he gets dropped about again eighteen it's a great stay with Danny reed they are very open minded to the creativity of how to get the most out of his talent and therefore he is as successful as we hoped he would be that's a lot of what we're discussion all this right is the guy who played wide receiver played in the outside Platonists lot lately compartment turn even place and that's the right back heck even some wildcat quarterback duties right this is the guy who they used in a variety of different ways and your love that because you know if he's athletic enough and natural enough on the football field to do a lot of different responsibility what with that being said with all of those positions at his disposal you know there are some coaches that might get take advantage of what he's able to do more than others and so I really like with this guy I think you can incredible talent and I think I really hope that his growing like you were saying there is your by the time you to combine the good luck to HIM blow it up I can give athletic reconnected you can really show out you really entertaining player to watch combine weekend but in terms of what conventicle future will be a lot of that's going to depend on it because though he can do a lot of things well some kind NFL coaches get overwhelmed with that versatility when it's not a streamline but the right coaches will know exactly what to do with them I hope that's where you land that be a great place for because in this wide receiver class he's a top five impact dot without a doubt I love this time of year we can talk about other men's growing since not weird at all that's why we never weird free yeah I I always love that it at the draft no work it's always going to be then you know and thank your loss you know you know there's there's never an off season for talking rides as as someone could say around town I think you know with this kit yeah I I hope that he does wind up the creative team I hope he does is find some a team there use him as a chess piece because that's that's kind of what he is let me ask you this in keeping with the wide receivers it do you think that there's more value to taking a Henry rugs hypothetically if fifteen or is it more value to maybe waiting to the second round of taking a regular with you with your second round pick there do you think that getting one of those top three receivers with that fifteenth Baker are waiting in a quote unquote deep class is the way to go now with regard to eat the little interesting because I think the public perception connect as Rieger as okay this is the guy I might be able to get in the sack route but we saw what happened with John walked a couple years ago right John Ross had the bad injury history he had been questionable tape when it came to dealing the contact you'll be more than just the speed player then you ran that for two two any growth number eight overall right I think we're gonna see that same kind of a fact which the owner you're not saying that readers John rock they need to make you come off like that if you get a more complete receiver but in terms of say the question that you're asking like hate be worth it to you you're the first round pick on a guy like any rugs when you might be able to get the same kind of be in the second round I don't think a guy like readers gonna be there I really don't if anything you're maybe hoping for a KGB handler you know you're hoping for a guy who's explosive in that area who might be able to give you that so that's the name that might fit the second round a little more for it he'd like Denver but in terms of blogs men in certain it sounds so cliche Dave you can't teach that be but a better sentence around that might be it yeah each really watch Henry rug is as a prospect because I've been trying to tell people the whole time this is not just this be polite you know he is the guy who can't catch through contact can be used as it in wide receiver verses were you get him the ball even in the back right he's a guy who's not afraid to contact and never really heard Julie's durable he likes to be physical he's got the strength along with world class beat instill great team like Denver or looking to pick up a wide receiver to really compliment we'll cordon son does what dates on Hamilton is does this well Hey rose would really really hate that so it's tough to you unless one of the big four off and get tackled he'll be here Tom in the Kristen worse than the tie back in the Kendrick will get one of those guys the Billboard fifteen I think you're really think about it maybe even pull the trigger but if not man it can be tough to pass the guy like rugs if he is still there yeah and we we've talked quite a bit about that especially for the Broncos there fifteen because he absolutely could be but of course also comes back to a conversation about relative depth in this draft wide receivers considered maybe the the deepest it's been obviously in in many many years but definitely the deepest in this class when you have a deep plus a wide receiver does behoove you to take those guys early or can you wait as a result of you know the depth so the draft is all about a game right I mean you're just trying to play the game of the draft really well you want to call the way with the bass player your team well at high impact they can we don't want to over draft the body right and you don't want to take a position before you can't but there's also watch a stand in the way of picking the guys that you know we're just going to impact your team the most and the more that I do that the more that man that grapheme tell you real good in theory but any trying you wait whether it's one pick four thirty pics down the line there is unpredictability everywhere every single team could come up in trade for any pick at any point in time you just never know what the run is going to be I mean what there's even a reality were hate what ten rug is even available right like what your UT goes early and rugs go the twelve to the Oakland Raiders and all the sudden you go all wow we didn't even think we'd be here where we could on the guy let alone him not being here and also even though I love the game of the draft I love the thought of eight look at the class is understand where they're deep it in which wide receiver like you guys that very much even that air you can get an impact a a a player and really I think any of the top one hundred pets when you've got a guide you know can we really really help out your team it's hard to pass on and especially with an impact player like what they could possibly get it it in itself even though I love that game of the draft you're really playing Russian roulette any kind you you go okay we'll pick our this guy thirty text later it's always just a big rage today men always great stuff Trevor thanks so much for the time again check out the draft network their mock draft machine if you're on Twitter you basically see about a hundred times a day it's that much fun Trevor we can't wait to run and see out that the combine again and thank you so much for time and yeah you guys did indeed take care bye take care Tampa Bay tray on Twitter great insight it's funny on the moment like I was about to claim victory at the very end is like but if you have a guy you go ahead and get that kind of like a because this guy I'll majestically spread across my face yeah it mine went to frown by the way here's the other part of this the the doesn't mention we talk with the death the wide receiver this class so so very deep class for officer tackle and corner readers positions will come back talking more about that as brokers country tonight and came away when your time is seven thirty our top story many are criticizing Mel Tucker for the way he which he abruptly left the head coaching job is to you just hours.

"But the but the yeah right all the six one five six six nine zero is this still ladies night well yesterday it is how about cheap trick the flight will see we can do about getting cheap trick the flame on before the end of our broadcast tonight three oh three seven one three eighty five eighty five is our phone number to reach out my number it's Benjamin Albright yeah I mean this is a is the right decision but the request to put out there and I'm I'm reading level it it's not talking arrestor show died beaches threats the ship I have yet to us now we get to maniacal laughs little consistency is amazing not talking residual well I can operate in server need Eminem's local commercial is from here and I'm glad they got Lindsey's hair correct in the mad that she made a special trip out her do that they did that was Dustin came out there the pre season this year well that's right I remember that they were out here yeah school yeah good stuff there from Andre and Dustin that interview already up the Broncos country tonight dot com in cash if you're a what this cash if you're a fan of mad men your fan of of football obviously more anything I find all the very fascinating the way it all kind of comes together because because the reality is they talked about the evolution of it and what it was you you can play an entertaining football game of the tech bubble was an entertaining football game right but the leaps and bounds we've come to that and that's why what I asked him can there's like was this demand like people wanted more authentic football as close as you could possibly get it and they kind of said it was a little bit of a mix it was some of some of that in some of the they just kinda were like this is how we're going to do it let's see how far we can go right why not then they turned it from a button masher into football simulation you know in the mother still courts with Madden and and all that I I think it's probably the most realistic thing out there since nine holes up so it's you know it's still off on the granular level to which they go they do things the fact that they noticed a running back toss the ball back to their coach left handed and allow them to change just in case they ever did a halfback pass in the game just the just in case incredible you know you guys get drafted yeah right that's the other thing is like we've we were talking about this earlier today about how the level of talent at the senior bowl they didn't just invite the the upper echelon guys there's a couple of you know first rounders in there this couple second round there's several second rounders there but the it's a pretty wide ranging week we've got guys that are day three prospects on guys that might not even get drafted most of the senior bowl tends to have a lot more of the guys that are going to get drafted the not yeah I tend to be about eighty five percent of those guys get drafted fifteen percent whether it's injury whether it's character whatever some of you know kind of wash out but yeah you know that just the level of detail you're willing to go to for that and the enormous number I I I find it fascinating absolutely Mike Shula expected to be the quarterbacks coach it's it's basically done it seems like that's where reported that eight days ago here yeah well I mean the the the reports out today that is only seven days later they're they're working on whatever offset from the giants as I understand it right did they have to do the offset stuff and all that kind of thing who's gonna pay who and whatever and you know let's make it work but yeah it's it's there's there's an oral agreement in place they've just got a finished as the details so former Crimson Tide quarterback Mike Shula is now the office of the quarterbacks coach here why is this a good move well the quarter we as a quarterbacks coach Gil quarterbacks are generally had their best years with Mike Shula working with them dating back to Jay Fiedler has best year was Sheila cam Newton obviously stripper David Garrard Brodie Croyle Jacksonville right birdie coil had his best year at Alabama when Mike Shula was was there so quarterbacks tend to have their best years when Mike Shula is around and I I think that says something for his ability to coach up quarterbacks I didn't particularly care for me as an officer coordinator offended be painfully by the numbers by as a quarterbacks coach I think he's done a good job I think I dug up a tweet for myself seven years ago congratulating the Panthers for hiring him as a as a a quarterbacks coach at the time then in saying they know that the that was a great hire and I think it is I think is a quarterback's because some guys are you know that's what you are you know we promote people pass that because we have the whole Peter principle thing going on in the NFL but Mike shook his head results if you go back and look at the quarterback look at his coaching career look at the quarterback numbers from especially when he was a quarterbacks coach those quarterbacks have had their best years and if they have I tend to think that that's something that if you the Broncos yeah production Dana Jones lot faster nobody thought he would I tend to think that that's a a hopeful sign Roger lock you know everybody there's this whole fake narrative and into the wrong I'm a big comedy got this whole fake narrative out there right now that continuity and fired Scania rebels gonna sent through lock back which is a lot of crap the verbiage is basically the same you have to get to know a different personality and he's going called different place but the verbiage on this place basically the same I thought I call you a lot of crap is a little bit dismissive and I'm going to be dismissed yeah that that that she I feel like there's something in the middle we can come to an agreement on this and I'm not saying that to to poke holes in your argument I'm saying that it just makes more sense to say maybe Durlach have liked his communication with risking a relative C. McCarty maybe he drove a custom to things working a certain way and now he's got to get accustomed to working a different way even if the verbiage is similar it's a different way of communicating with a different set of coaches and he he's used to that he's been doing that throughout for several years again the code from college in a pro but but that doesn't mean that it means nothing like your your basic basically saying it means nothing and I can't do that at six different season seven years the communication how they communicate hill just to it before yeah he'll figure it out it doesn't mean mean means nothing now I mean if it's the same bird that's that's really with the continuity thing that's really where it is are you movie there's basically three systems or three main systems for calling plays in the NFL number system hello Tom floor is the you know you're you're gonna run nine eight seven you know the old number system the you know the routes left or right yes the bill Walsh west coast **** verbiage heavy system which is what Pat Shurmur comes out of an same same tree is rich Camarillo and then the what's called the Erhardt Perkins system which is what Tom Brady in the in the patriots of Ron which is a a a much simpler way to call plays and get the play out spent the Burbage out faster although it limits what you can do at times because the merch seller this is similar to this this basically really only meal three main ways which do that invariants an offshoot of that what you're calling it twelve person allergy bro tiger or you know whatever so the idea that there's going to be this vast a learning curve for drew lock under Pat sure right that's really what I'm hinting at here the the because normally that's what the cot nude you're talking about is this is this learning cover learning a new officers got a new office to learn it's the same places the same verbe just a different guy call a different you know probably taking over more vertical shots a calling in all different but it it maybe is not so much drug we'll we'll take a break that there's there's something else I want to get to with this because it's not necessarily all about true like either there's also about the Khan new dress the players it might give some other guys some looks that they weren't getting but also my take away reps from other guys I wanna talk to you about that there is one specific thing we'll get that the Mexican that would worry me okay we'll get to that next on Broncos country tonight Kaley insanely helpful real stories from easy cater easy cater this is hello this is hello no need to press buttons how can I help you I'm sorry I was trying to get to a human well you're in luck I'm a human what.

"Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Albright on K. a Broncos country tonight let's bring along the laundry Weingarten and Dustin Smith who are mad ratings adjusters and group good stuff this was tape by the way this was with the guys out at the senior bowl so gonna sound like there's a lot of people all of a sudden the room here Andre tell us about what man does out senior bowl at the senior bowl we are basically scanning everybody like everybody else here but we're looking for quirks and other things on top of the standard player performance the intangibles that we can get from meeting with people and talking with scouts and people like you guys who have that inside scoop you know we looked and there was the the bell running back without a he's left handed because he took it all back to the coaches and that's information that we need to care about also seeing level if it's in the game it's in the game right absolutely Courtney Davis Brochet both have really good arms Courtney through it from the numbers to the other side of the numbers on a punt return or some like that early on I mean you know things like that where the action stuff yeah throw power goes up in that situation so and they are really care a lot about what they do even though it's not part of the position I've talked to players before that yeah that could care about that kind of stuff you know it's not even in there you know if you be you'll have a quarterback not gonna throw power it's better than thirty you know I can that's it you know I usually quarterback in high school in a yeah it's it's always fun to see now a lot of the scouts here looking for things that where absolutely come for something else because with a lot of us were just looking for how it translates into our ratings and I was speaking with some of the cats are like yeah I'm not gonna write never scanner report what a cornerback you know how he pursues the ball carrier like where we got to put a number on every single player in that regard whether corner safety linebacker center yeah it is one of the things like this you guys change the rating system up a little bit people also started complaining about those lower numbers but I was trying to get across on Twitter she got to try to make them played more like they play you know rather than they they just deciding an arbitrary number so that you know that I'm not arbitrary you get the idea that you want to make somebody who's really good feel that much better right next the next up down right yeah there is a there's a post someone put out about the number of ninety overall player so we had our game from was like two thousand what two thousand eight through two thousand thirteen or two thousand four two thousand four three two thousand eight and there was just a grouping of times when there's like two hundred plus players on a ninety sixteen tuner sixteen right now we have sixty eight players above ninety almost nice almost almost but that was the idea we want to reduce that number down to the point where I have tears you know each other's plea elite verse yes you know it is a previous games you could say either over games were you know I I didn't really want to Harry Douglas to play the same way as who jobs yourself yeah exactly and and they're funny guys who did that I mean some of those older games are very fun because you could just pick up anybody and and ball out with them but at the same time there was no identity because everyone played in such a similar way that what we really want to get away from that so by stretching the ratings by doing all that with each individual rating and overall I think we we did a better job with the overall rate to the overall ratings even matter because it makes you the overall number that's what they go with and that's what I was trying to be you know we start there's a granular stuff there well you okay it's just not they shouldn't be like the gospel of like this is what everything is right because it's it's the simplest way to think about it is all that is just there for is to try and give you the idea of within that position how good that player should probably be playing for you now how the computer's going to use them and how you're going to be able to to execute with them may vary I I know it's there to kind of try and give you a ballpark of what kind of player that maybe from from a franchise perspective overall means a lot to the way that our game runs right it it does provide a good representation for people who are not football junkies right because you you're gonna put a player in a position that they're going to either exceed or under perform their overall at any given point in our game over the years if you have a speed survey of John Ross you can play a lot better than what is seventy eight overall rating is because he just gonna be able to run everybody right in my money legal dominate with right now so yeah well if you're going okay now I know why your let's talk about your yeah it's always a vanity project with this do you know like Hey how how can I tell you how great I am at mad Alisa startlingly mediocre your somebody else your so vain you probably think this game is about you he kind of does not his own label that may or may not create myself in the game that may or may not happen fair enough but so I mean it it does matter right and to the casual player it does have some sort of impact to them because when you draft someone with a high overall it feels really good and if you dress some of the lower overall it doesn't feel as good and that's kind of the the driving factor in the computer use that the computers a lot when it comes to contract negotiations and they're drafting and their team building and do they have team needs or not and do we think that you have teammates or not and we scaled down to match our ratings stretch as well so you know it be team great might be now seventy seven instead of it being an eighty two so what's the biggest misconception complaint you guys come across like a with a complaint about what's what's the biggest misconception.

"Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Albright on K. away for is this our Peter Shaffer and Howard Griffith because the law passed in just a second what do you think about Stephen Montez is prospects well I think he he was a guy that after junior sees a lot of people really high on they they thought maybe you could take that that extra jump between the junior and senior maybe push himself into that didn't really do that a change in that kind of direction with the program there Colorado I think it did it it I don't know if it'd slowed him down if he took time to just whatever it was that you didn't take that leap and so now you have to come in here and get a kind of proof myself a little bit I think that you know the quarterbacks that are here he's probably look third best after Herbert love which is to be those two were the top two to be expected but just kind of what wondering who would be the next guy to come across with Montez you get a big physical guy with with a big arm the the question is hard to sing that you know it's gonna be the guy was able to to read the field underneath that it's real hard said get that actors the machine couple of big time throws and we see the couple interceptions pressured been thrown so yeah you know it's it's it's a little bit of a mixed bag with him but I I think that the the you know the week of practice is off to about as good a star for him relative to the other three or four quarterbacks vying for that third spot as could be that's great I'm glad you friend like that because it almost seems like what I'm about to say is gonna be kinda negative on him it's not necessarily intended to be that case because this is all learning curve and really it's it's a it's a bit of a mixed bag group quarterbacks you got what Herbert's going to be what we expect him to be a first rounder that that doesn't really nothing's broken a change that whatever happens this week love has a chance to maybe speak in the first round but Montez is might be the third best guy a or write in their hearts will probably drafted ahead of them but hurts his had some some mate like like the expectations are so much higher for hertz and he hasn't quite lived up to that just yet before Montez you look of a wild card in this process and unfortunately today he had just an unbelievable bad intersection yeah and so I I mean I remember talking to Steve out water she stated there said well that's one of the worst interceptions ex he he yeah in practice and then you expect him to be able to bounce back from that but man it was it was just such a tough moment there for Steven and and that I I thought you respond well to it though because the X. came back later had a nice bootleg out to the right ended up hitting its receiver in stride I think it might have been Colin Johnson with from from Texas but either way he he responded pretty well after but it just was a tough moment that time has been bounced back kind of guy we courses career able to bounce back from those things that's that's a big plus it again these guys are trying to cement themselves you know two guys aren't here that we had talked about from east and you try to submit your yourself as the the quarterback behind them but I think that that's a place Montez could be I I don't know that I you know jailers to me is day three guy I know you like a lot more but that's me I I look at I see the three guys pry positions which guide the NFL to be honest with you yeah I could be wrong on that but no I have seen things when the office yet it Montez is definitely quarterbacks so you know it's it's one those guys in these communities to have that need to blow boy I don't think it's blown way so far but least it's been mostly positive take all right so Stephen Montez joining us right now Stephen you have fun out here in mobile to be honest I'm having a blast I mean.

you thought usually play the hits he played I played this forty play put on the glass and that's about it because the only two songs here had one other one that was a single no I had a song here's the thing the best thing service whatever did love people on those he actually after all these years later he got together with the band member presidents United States absolutely he got together with them they formed a band together called subset I had no idea yeah he was like their producer the mixer DJ whatever they put back called subsidy put couple songs out and they end up just you know I've been doing a traction it was the best working order member did that's cool I'll check that out yeah I I I actually so he's a really big Seattle Seahawks fan and we got a mind door right right before that Superbowl like he'd done something locally I think we'll be with double posted something locally with ever post talking about his fandom and we somehow got his number and I just called him up like you're you're talking about like kind of a bit of your childhood here we're calling up somebody that you listen to their songs or maybe songs and so I call nobody answers LL just like hi Sir mix a lot's I would say to Mike I mean it that's obvious is that I can't remember his name is called Mr makes a lot it at that point to be officially knighted just as the Sir mix a lot he's like yeah like well I'm on a Denver radio station in you know hate would you like to come on and talk about the Superbowl he's like love to do it we had a month that's correct and we had a mind like a like the next year when they were in the Super Bowl the Seahawks was aboard the pagers we had him on again as a follow up used for testing base like I heard sports fan he is an interesting quirk with the Seahawks he doesn't watch the games live he he likes to play basically what he does the tapes he goes to a movie back a wash after the fact does not like to watch the live interesting you know the results before he watches it no no he he does everything you can to shut it all out and you can watch a live as much life is at a skip the commercials kind of fingers are we see it's like a it's you know just his thing yeah I think it serves superstition gonna deal I mean I'm not superstitious I I'm a little your little several of the stations that Sir I I'd know your and your stuff that's yeah humor team am I you know my my th my sex jokes living a couple attack your sister's lower income what do we have some really good text coming in tonight we appreciate this for Brian will devante Booker theoretic play another in a fell down I think I think both well I think they are both of what I mean Baker will not be here red X. can be here but you want to talk about running backs catching balls back feel because there's a there's an idea there that really could have a a role here I'm not completely done with your Reddick just because he didn't do anything for the Broncos in the regular season right the idea is still there yeah and I think you'll theoretically get a chance to see that next year I don't think I'm purpose theoretically saw did that yeah no he didn't intend to let it this is the third time I snuck that fear Riddick theoretic thing in there this was somebody finally caught it I think the you could probably book at that the device they will be here but yeah it's it's so funny ash that was a stretch it was a near now in another theoretically that's you like that was really good like that you like that I'm like yeah book will be here but the might and I I did that concept of that running back which would work especially in this office Benjamin loves you you talk about this specialist on the ball back Lindsey needs to prove that he can be reliable out of the backfield with his hands he was when they were in Colorado which is why it was so weird this past year that he struggled catching the ball was a concentration was he bracing for a hit because we're they were throwing the ball he was about to get popped that was one thing I didn't really like about rich Gehrels offense the design of the place when they were throwing the ball to the back of the backfield you're basically throwing it front to the back to get popped it was it was an angle route you were thrown to the back to get smacked the other the numbers they are very friendly to the Broncos with running backs are the backfield right I mean Royce on that angle route was was reliable yeah and butter and a couple of those ten but other than that yeah we we were it was a very good will will hit those numbers in just a second Cup more tax but we yeah we we did see thank you Chris we did see Damone Murray did get hurt tonight advertisement on the break yeah so that's something but of course in PJ good slack said the I got her to the game I like I like I like I want to I I feel like every time we talk with him PJ you take it as a moment to spike the football or basketball in this case and I don't necessarily think it has to be that I was never down in PJ it was more about my expectations for the year were much lower than yours your your expectations were likely to hire I thank you it all started this year and I said I'm slowing my role little bit of my expectations I think I've been more right in this case it doesn't mean that I'm down but the guy on the one twenty I think you should be store right now but I still don't know why he's not starting right now he started Tory forking Craig tonight yeah I'm political starting right Edwards and this is from back in August this is why Michael Porter should be locked in a closet and never allowed to touch a basketball again he's trash you straight dumpster fires that may be disrespectful to Dodger five okay none of this is just such a no that's true you didn't actually say that you'll never to lower expectations and I yes that's what it was yeah and we didn't expect and that seems to me more lowered expectations reasonable expectations for a guy thanks so I was totally my I was a little higher on that and but but I stand by that in the east to victory fairies resort to that when you got the opportunity he should be starting I agree I agree you starting Tory trade tonight that's weird to me it's I did not I did not understand makes no sense although our guy Jeff Morton I love his he's like a Tory Craig is Michael Malone's Anthony Corder okay wow okay yeah my it exploded what a great dude okay I'll give a golf club that was well done Sir I don't have only tip my cap I don't put it off it oh one more text here before we at the bottom of the hour I this is a question if my Holmes and Watson swap places which team would be better the Texas get better if my Holmes and Watson swap places the Texans would get better in the in the cheese would get worse Moses significantly better quarterback into shallow water that's not taking anything away from the shot Watson have homes is other worldly John Watson is good homes is other worldly have homes does things the ME that play would show Watson broke out of that sack which was kind of it was really on what's in that was on the two bills players just kind of hit each other him have the press of mine to slip it this home would have a hold switch hands I got a second may eighteen he was left handed look I'm not disagreeing with you adults can run just occurred almost as well to show what somebody throws significantly better but how much war how much worse outside the limit families how much how much worse or the Texans ours ours are are the chiefs with Watson how Mitchell winning football he might not like they're suddenly losers yeah they'd be a good football team here's the thing Watson with office of line like a Kansas city has that's my point might be a better player yes Watson struggles outside the numbers and and sometimes he hold the ball too long at that crack create sacks in with that office of line is already bad they have your creates problems but you know babble homes is is to me head and shoulders above to Sean Watson I I have Pam homes a top four quarterback in the league Watson's in the top ten or twelve yes we we wow I these top ten but would you like a love or not yeah that's likely be either way either way the point I think we both agree on the sense that my homes would make the Texans better right away he gets the ball faster to help their offense of line got plenty weapons there in Houston there's no question that that would be the team to beat in the AFC in my opinion for the chiefs if if what's is going to continue to hold the ball as long as he tends to do at least he's got a better offense of line to help him out yeah and that's the difference yeah and you know what I'm forty I'll be the best right tackle for the weapons on both sides and I think it's fairly comparable there's a little bit different size and shape because you have Travis Kelsey which there's really no Cobb necessary there's no new conquers only options all right doesn't say like like you got that old fuller to take the top off Friday killed four tells me you're hill for take the top off you know white kittens I'm skews me yes yes Sammy Watkins because hard and it still says the interchangeable yup Kelsey is a dynamic but they don't have what they need a top concern so yeah I think it's fair I I think the Texans running backs will better a combination of high do Johnson's a little bit better than being shady at this point is career and and Williams good question Chris all right so we'll get to these are really backed numbers we come back Broncos country to get away.

"Is brokers country tonight right networks Anthony Rodriguez with you tonight Benjamin Albright expected back with us on Monday the ABS wish we could watch it I do I do miss that you know we're we're doing the show in the and I can watch these games at home because I have direct TV but in the studio unfortunately are not available it's a weird thing is we're it's a weird thing to be in the city of your team and not get to watch them I I am very sympathetic to the fans that don't get to enjoy their team and I'm also gonna empathetic to my friends over out to to this is a this a weird spot want to get into all that because I because even some of it I'm not privy to the goings on with it I'm just gonna say that it's a bad situation and it's it's really difficult here even on this show because honestly like when we had the the nuggets on not used the other night we watch that game we talked about it afterwards there was Luka versus the color is great and the you know I mean this is the sum of that I I I want to I don't know I wanna be fixed I would be fixed Anthony that's it will be eventually just a matter of time it has to in some way just may take a while we take a long while because a lot of money is at stake a lot of undercutting is potentially happening and one is a or two of the I. two of one side our major Kerr major major companies and one is regional it's not going to go the way both sides by one to go as of the old out is help me either in any getting just fans are getting more more matter now and you know it sounds what are the last hi just this week I think it seems as though fans are starting to turn on the regional network a little bit yeah and it's it's just for which is not fair but yeah I mean how many months are we in this thing man really five months in ridiculous that it's it's beyond ridiculous so again I'm not you know there's no soapbox here this is just frustration that we do a night show that I'd like to be able to watch the game to be able to comment on him and unfortunately we we can't we all on for the most part all we could do is real on Twitter or re in and I'm not about to read box scores for you guys and tell you what's going on all I know is watching the avalanche via Twitter has been basically the nor for me I've had by opportunities on nights off to be in a special weekends be able to check those things out not that for the most part ends up being what I get to do all right so we'll we'll we'll table that for a moment maybe a little later on I should you want to get into some Rockies conversation as today there were worse a few deals that were of rocky dribble.

"Pride of words Benjamin Albright is he's already confessed to the world on Twitter is out sick tonight to this guy's killed me he is a no entity I mean I don't know I mean I guess or maybe a different way to to frame Broncos country tonight's end T. something for another day I thought you did just fine but like I over a bad I think you just right in the show yeah I think as long as I've been yeah so sick we need to we need to get someone to go check up on him because I don't think he's doing alright he's like I'd like to take a few plays off I'm helping a guy do I've I've looked up all old rep Mike had been here because I've had the same thing now for over a week N. of somehow not lost my voice is come close couple times what they were shot I haven't Broncos countries and okay just I wanna make sure Donald doesn't read what I love you know what I mean is yeah what what to say is I've had some brain dead spacey moments throughout that this thing is missing rocked me I spent the entire weekend in bed like I beat it is been unbelievable and and it's it's going around I mean a lot Alexis is gonna be joining us later on she had something a little earlier I mean we've all kind of had something that we've been fighting it to you you have the take off potentially at the perfect time to kinda missed all of this yeah I don't think I'm going to be coming anywhere near you guys for a little while things here I think the U. C. L. training studio is going to be the isolation for you guys for awhile so he quarantine yeah if you guys could not come here to I heard a little I would be great do it yeah and it is so you know we will I feel like I'm mostly on the mend although so tonight my wife she does acupuncture and she's just she's isn't a lot of you know stuff like that and she's like we're going to acupuncture on you so I actually I actually had ten needles in my ears to the Hague before coming into the show so we'll see we'll see what how what happens I don't know them and so some people say that has a major effect some people say has no effect at all but I'm hoping that it helps move this thing through faster and forget the name the show you that needles in you today the hell's going on you're done actual acupuncture I have not but it sounds fantastic might do well you know typically speaking I mean like I'm not a you know now any tattoos number or member in one time a friend of mine basically said you know I come at me with a needle tell you anything I'm I'm kind of one of those people I don't really like needles but I'm supportive of my wife in in this process of at you'll choose learning this this new trade and and and bill what does your gut instinct yeah hello I was yeah when she was warning it actually a really proud of my my kids though they when she was learning this a we actually had to go to for some facility she had to basically stick needles in all of our ears and a she did a great job so you know I've fallen in your ears yeah why in your ears there's like there's like pressure points and stuff in your ears yeah it's crazy you like like unbelievable I do not I don't use he is it's like like there's certain pressure points for like the liver and the kidneys and the lungs and your heart's in there all your ears it's wild okay I had no idea but this is like what they do they study that sort of thing and so if you have certain ailments and yeah I mean you're you're on whether or there's like you know certain and all others kind of sickness ruling they can dig but these pressure points I in in your ears and it'll affect those parts of your body now how does that relate to the positives of getting like a normal size like is it more more facts yes yeah I don't like that I yeah but you you definitely have like like weird sensation as a result of it yeah I mean like I said it's you don't social put like a needle in when you're sick that's that's your lungs right there that I just triggered I'm like dang it's crazy that's for sure yeah right it was we're not to do a whole short acupuncture tonight but yes so I want to go in for a guy a bit all right a little bit love here because a guy he it had to take something it's pretty tough guy but he had take something friends are you gotta I hopefully he'll be back with us tomorrow a big show free tonight though Mike Klis our nineties Broncos in search engines coming up here in about ten minutes or so a he ranks we have had a chance really do that much with this over the course the week after put the southbound lanes Sunday and we're already to Wednesday blight he kinda right he went through the ranks of the free agents the priorities for free agents for the Broncos in is causing quite a stir the pot Shelby Harris second I actually had no problem with that as far as I see it so she'll be hers absolutely considering what we know about the availability of secretary sworn come back what we know about the rest of the free agents shall be ours and I saw that the band I say he's is easily the second most hi its second highest priority guy I we are about you and the rod like like where you come down on that it's not like I'm discounting Chris here it's not like I I'd like to see Chris here is gone you just kind of what we know at this point and she always gonna be looking for a bit of a payday to it's it's no different than Chris blight the the amount of pay a verse is also where they're playing out in their career I don't think that you can a relatively draft a player and expect the same kind of production almost immediately from that guy I don't think you're gonna get what shall be ours does no but is there something to say that with Shelby's moving around obviously there but when they realize that the much better on the edge and he was a nose tackle early on the year is there something to the argument that because they were moving him around or the because they did move them around that maybe there isn't as much use format either the business I did play because he was able to move I mean is that and I know he's fantastic about in the past down I I know I know he's had a a pretty darn good year but I kind of put Derek Wolfe I had a phone at this time I know just as a means of top tier one Chris Harris for me is probably number two a significant drop off after Simmons but right below that and then I think I go for me it's wolf and then I think I'll go show beers well do you know and and wolf is only like a little over a year older than Shelby so some you know sometimes we get into this like well your show we switch younger as not really that much younger but more of these is the injury history that I look out with Derek and and and again that might buy you a little bit better value contract and that's where Ted Ben tensed come down when it comes to talking about their goal for Shelby Harris is well what's the value you're getting here not understanding that will hate if we can get a good deal for Derek Wolfe that's money that we're saving as cap savings that you can spend some more else I think that's that's relatively were talking about and and and and again understanding that when you go to get into this position where you're you're vying with unrestricted free agents even if their year old unrestricted free agents your vying with the rest of the NFL all it takes is one team that's willing to pay over market or or whatever I mean it's not over market causes the market but over what your market is flat player all it takes is one a and most the time the Broncos have a number in mind they might have a little bit of headroom in their mind about that but for the most part they don't come up too much and in that respect and today I mean it's bad that makes me feel like really I mean work probably arguing in circles at the end of this thing because I don't think either of them Earl timidly coming back because somebody's gonna pay him I I I I I kind of lean towards the opposite where I think the Broncos will value of those two more than and other teams well Shelby may you garner that higher paid a one or two teams may come out and with the with a bigger bigger pay the Broncos are willing to offer but I feel like especially with wow the Broncos did in and knowing we'll see injury history and knowing that Shelby is been me often down for the Broncos last clears his bid been great but I think I don't think either gonna be too far priced out the Broncos range I think they're going to value them more than other teams will which will allow the Broncos to probably stay in the ballpark they want to I think the Broncos again today when it comes a terrible from Shelley Harris will have the decision to keep either if they want to in their range unless of course you can come no I'm so they'll have that if they want to stay in the range that I'm saying they'll have the decision to take to keep one of them or both of them in the range of their comfortable with because if they go out of the range and they're not going to there are not as I know either or both but I don't know I think any team going to come out either them ways that one deal that'll price them out of the Broncos range and that will not not healthy yeah not die Derek but but shell be certainly a look I mean they're kinda career it's seven sacks Shelby plates I actually really really good and he's been really good for the Broncos this entire time so I mean and and you're talking about a defensive lineman you talk about trenches guys and is guy they can start that can play the nose maybe not ideal for the nose but he can play the notes look in the end I think this is all very fastening also things kind of fascinating where is karma government Sakshi of Khan recovered a little bit higher I would put kind of a governor to Mike's got him right now as the number five guy on this list thanks I mean these these the offense of linemen the kind of holds it all together unless you're going into the draft and spent up high on a center owner or or you're gonna go somewhere I mean I I I thought Khan McGovern had a pretty good year at center but I guess last my close about that coming up in just a little bit George Rory he'll join us coming up here towards the bottom of the hour and then of course Alexis strap Perry is gonna be in studio.

"Benjamin Albright on KO a the pose good on the tax line someone requested girls girls girls by motley Crue so you are welcome well that hate on the tax line as well from eight one eight seven nine writers will win and we'll win a Superbowl ball for the Broncos well ten one zero first probably that's tough man if we we think there's an upward trajectory for the Broncos and I think they're gonna be better than the raiders but I don't know they're necessarily a Superbowl contender right now the raiders certainly aren't so neither there you go so take that one eight seven on tax line five six six nine zero if you want to you want to get involved on the conversation we also Paul you can get in on what is your prediction for the Broncos versus the raiders game Broncos by three Broncos by a touchdown Broncos by double digits or are you also a hater raiders a get the job big difference between six and ten seventy nine for the Broncos can tell you that I'm also going to get into the playoffs scenarios the raiders need a whole lot to happen to get into the to get into the postseason Hey essentially need to win many of the Titans in the Steelers to both lose any the colts to beat the jags and of those four outcomes happen that the writers are in the books I am not a lot of the raiders gonna make it I don't think they they may know when any of those scenarios I think the Titans probably win I think Steelers RG three is no joke I mean I think it'll come out it's eight it is RG three is one of the for the often sees in is one of the better back as an animal maybe I mean we don't know again played his final they kept them around because they felt like they did you know that he could kind of be the guy to be the back up in that office but you know you had are the plate it's been a long time since you know since RG three was doing any kind of consistency naps so that be interesting to see I'll be watching for the fun of it justice justice you would use this point I remember you know just how many people were eight many people had him as the number one rated quarterback in that draft class you know I had a better luck a lot of people had a real look actually had the gaining Russell Wilson the top quarterback in that draft class ever it's funny because now like I was like oh yeah daw yeah Blake if you go back and look at Twitter during that I was Asian laughter of Twitter like they were absolutely up it'll help that magical never played a down of the NFL I had an actual at actual CFL scout tell me that we're getting beers during that that draft season is he still scout yes actually and he you know works the capable you told me said that you get a quote reporting here yeah that magic will never play it down in the NFL but he he was very high on two quarterbacks in that era pulls in Aust Wyler everybody was very high on and the ticket might my guys quote unquote my guys in that draft fourteen hill and and Russ Wilson I like Andrew luck too I was as big RG three there was another quarterback that class I can't remember who that was highly was a twenty twelve didn't pan out I can't remember it the I'm tired of that class because it was we didn't also either no walls in it when we resins Russ Weller cousins I was okay on there's another quarterback in there somewhere that I really thought was going to pan out they use it didn't I wish I could remember worries taken now all I have to go back and look at the class I ever bring up my notes I've got my almost governmentally yeah Riley Riley I thought he was going to be some of the pro game and he he was not there I believe he's coaching the Cleveland Browns that I use what coach of the Browns staff I'm not mistaken I know that's got should I take math went out for a bit I have a lot to discuss what discuss yeah he is a yeah coach yeah with the with the browser is because the browser yeah I thought lily was gonna be some place I could remember who was here before we left I asked which offense a weapon for the Broncos will make the.

"This country tonight line it was Benjamin Albright Andrew Mason applause office had a spectacular day against Houston some of it was a little bit dictated by how bad Houston could be on defense we talked about it over the course the week leading up to it they're bad third down team on defense there are bad red zone team on defense the Broncos put up numbers that were far ahead of how bad the Texans were sixty two and a half percent on third down which is higher than their number also eighty percent the red zone yeah you to take that almost any given weekend the Texans are not that bad Broncos start off fast Texas sort of slow so some of these things were dictated by what we already knew about both of these teams but mace question is gonna keep coming up in the Broncos to get back in may keep this going can they keep this train going against Kansas city maybe not to the tune of thirty one offense of points as they had against the Houston Texans because cancer is defenses playing much better right now is forcing turnovers an increased rate over the last few weeks but it can keep momentum going to maybe where we are talking about a second consecutive game in which the Broncos score more than twenty four points after going so long without hitting that mark and we keep talking about drew locking of course that is the focal point and justifiably so but Kansas city's run defense has issues and I think this is an opportunity get filled Lindsay on court he's been okay not where he wants to be clearly but I think there's a chance not only in the ground game but even getting him the ball in space in the screen and then swing pass game they get filled Lindsay yeah back to where Phil wants to beat me were talking about him having honored fifty yards from scrimmage he could be a very intricate trickle part of the offense on Sunday more so than he was last couple games and everything but I've been I think the key to beating Kansas city is making smart decisions in the second quarter they scored the bulk of the points in the second quarter number one the NFL scoring to actually not good score in the fourth quarter they're not that great on the script there a second quarter team and they make you pay with mistakes when you come off the script and yet the punt the ball and they continue to score and they run it up and then they try to double squeeze you in the two minute drill whichever way you go with it you know so I think the if you're going to beat the Kansas City Chiefs the way to do that especially come out hot and they keep the ball away from them in the second quarter almost almost kind of back off a little play ball control so it helps to win the coin toss into for your option hi doubles semis I mean I don't have time right because you get that you get the out you take away their chance to double up on and that's what they do then they make you want to mention once they get a multiple scores they make you one dimensional because you feel like you got a boat race with them and that's how the pin there is back in beach what they think is winning point because his last year remember that I do I do remember that but the thing is base on the may you detailed quite effectively in your piece last week on the NPR but the Broncos struggles second third fourth quarter now is an interesting thing in this game against the Texans and we we broke this down early in the week that they got off to a hot start they kinda let the Texas score some points late but it didn't necessarily matter but it's still fed into the dialogue and the overall numbers for the Broncos this year gap but what's interesting on the offense of side when Kareem Jackson had the phone more turn for Thai stature Jerry attacks you pitch in the ball and then the Broncos got the stop in the suburbs of subsequent Dr I thought okay they've got him because it's fourteen nothing drew lock in the offense going back on the field and we're not even halfway through the script and this point and so you got to the script was twenty one nothing and it was just a different ball game in terms of what the expectations were from that point the kind of football that you were trying to play I would like to say this for the defense if the game is closer I don't think it gives up twenty four points as a dead some of that was simply no I appreciate it yeah playing with the lead get help down on the on the I RT take off you get you giving in the underneath stuff you let you just making sure you don't give up the huge explosive play so in some ways it was kind of game the Broncos want to play but you can't count on that defensive touchdown early to help you along in terms of when you're on script the Broncos to have to grow as an off script team I think it's important for knowledge walk but also risking gorilla I think if you're risking real your script and forty plays this point you're not too in fifteen or twenty script forty place you have forty play Waechter's at this point because you got to figure out what specifically is when you get off script that's a problem whether it's a communication whether to feel the flow whether it's got a not having enough rep said no we want to play calling is are not be confident of the play call whatever what do you think it is I think you don't feel the full game yeah that's what it feels like to be what it feels like to me because he he's aggressive on the script and he's not off of it and so I I think he gets ten it I think he gets a kind of a case the tight cheeks like we're gonna have to play this you know it here's the SS if you will find a cure in our time yes he is I think the house I think that he's he's nervous that he has an inability to execute because of a maybe at an average to sub average offense of line and a young core at skill positions and so he kind of Paul's conservatively and so I think that you know you eat you need whatever it is that causes confidence in you you need to figure that out with that script in forty plays with that so you're going back to the well and place your previous Iran practicing the same place for I I don't know I don't have an answer for this point but that's what it feels like it is okay to go back to places that you've run earlier in the game especially if you're able to keep doing some of the fascinating I need this the good wife fascinating things are you doing in terms of play design in terms of pre snap alignment able to catch them off guard I love it when I see this team run flat or pass math three tight end formation few things make me happier because you do that all of a sudden you get the defense playing honest keep doing that keep doing some deceptive things unexpected things based on your formation personnel you have a better chance of being able to kind of go back to those concepts later on because let's say you've shown you can have a explosive twenty five yard play down scene at three tied and they're gonna see three died and generally expect the rubber you can go back into that pass again catch them off guard machine with the ravens are doing with things like that for example I mean and we're not worried about risking Terrell and creative play calling he said creative play calling going bam staying creative any other thing with risking Carrillo is that they're been sometimes when he has been aggressive when the moment called for being conservative you know the whole thing he's got a conservative play call conservative mindset it's not something I really buy into if anything it's just kind of the fuel for when to be aggressive when to be conservative that play against Minnesota the third one the end around to know a fan that was an aggressive call where you need to just have your best play to get one yard and don't be afraid to put the defense back on their heels call pass plays on first down draw plays on second down put them back on their heels you know don't let them just tee off on you because that's were Kansas city has our success I would come back I want to stay on risk and relish for just a moment because I want to talk about the implications of what the Broncos did letting him know Corey Benjamin Albright well you know before the Texans game that he was going to be back that or unlock some things for him no pun intended because I don't do that Broncos country Ty Cobb on the other side right here okay away Hey one couple large cheese pizza for only five ninety nine wait what what that's got to be a typo somebody check that no it's the grand opening of the Glendale Maryland location for pizza Bali and.

"Broncos country tonight with Ryan Edwards in Benjamin Albright speaking of the Broncos John Elway the resident football operations and GM of the Broncos joins us every week talking about the previous game in the game coming up this week John it's Dave reckon Kathy good morning how you doing I'm doing great how you doing we're we're we're dancing every day it's congratulations on your age battle thank thank you appreciate it very well done thank you kids kids play great let me ask about now that you you had a chance to go back and look at it what what did you think of juror lock in in our people not that you care our people in your mind going too much overboard with sort of their enthusiasm on how he played like I guess I would be somewhat guilty of that because I thought he was like lights out against the Texans that that he played great you know and I think that obviously it's okay to be excited about it because I think you know he's played really very very well as first to start his handle hat and limbs of great and you know obviously he's you know a young guy with two starts and but it you know we couldn't be happier with the way he's come out of the gate and not know that there's going to be still up in the ups and downs are going to Kansas city against the defense is going to see a lot more looks any say in the first two weeks but you know what we're excited about where he is and and but you know and plus it's nice to go on a road get a get a real good win against a very good football team in the in the Houston Texans John Dave and I were were wondering if there's ever been a rookie quarterback in his second start of his career put up numbers like that you know watching the game you you knew he was having a really good game but was until afterwards that we learned he was having a historically good game for a rookie quarterback I can't imagine you expected anything like that in a second start or did you well I you know I look like it's hard to say what you expect I think that that you know you're you're hopeful that you goes on response way that he made that he did in Houston and I think that you know as I said we could be happier with it when you look at the results and against a team and they do a place it's hard to play against the division leading to football team so I think everything has gone very very well it did up to this point diamond you know you got to continue to work and and get better and I think that you know obviously what this does is set the standard is set a high standard and it and that's what he's done so far but you know we've got to continue to to work around them and and get better as an offense as a whole and and you know that give him the best opportunity to be successful as well as us you certainly have to continue to improve as a team and specifically offense avoid but but.

"His Broncos country tonight with Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Albright on K. K. a country tonight lined up words Benjamin all right now I know why you played prince here on our eighties night we actually brought on our next guest to talk about Carson Wentz in the eagles take on the patriots I I don't know how prince has any bearing on that match up but reef assigned from the athletic joining us right now also president of the Carson Wentz fan club you guys wanna get those membership fees in comes with a full fat head to have reef blowing a kiss to a shirtless Carson Wentz what's up man how are you I'm good and get a little bit worse than ever all those things but I don't think it now what would you we we were just discussing this and and my my Costa Benjamin as well as after they haven't heard the Minnesota Vikings steam to prince song what did you think of that when it came out I would all right on it I wouldn't put it up there when you've made a lot of really good stuff and now it's fine but it is it better or worse than Scott steps Marlon song better yeah I guess that's okay that's what that's what I was trying to just explain it I was like it's way better than that but I don't know if we need to play it kind of thing yeah that's I think that's fair three four thank you so much well first what do you think Carson Wentz got nine just could we don't really care about Hey listen two and a half point favorites reversal Vikings Eddie feel about that well aid a I don't think via the Vikings will cover but you know I I think it's an accurate reflection of the fact that you know the two teams and bear your spots right now yeah yeah look at this you know it is a feeling here at least for me and probably not for most fans the Broncos are team with an upward trajectory but they're they're not really what you call a contender at this point that the Vikings a team actually because the Superbowl it may be a little generous there it doesn't feel like this game going to be a blow out though it is does it didn't have that feeling going into this feels like one of those throwback feel position type games that that's it's going to wind up hit me under being closer than it should although maybe never in doubt wire to wire yeah William that's going to be very similar to the Vikings game against the raiders of the Vikings were in control of the entire match up in the final score definitely reflect kind of how far apart in quality the two teams were but you know in the end you know the Vikings clearly demonstrated that they were the better team I think something somewhere is going to happen here is not to be a high scoring game I kind of agree with you there you might even hit that under an editor at pretty generated forty point so it's local pick the under there but he might do that and if it does that I really difficult to cover the spread at the same time out of dealings been basically missing from a line of the last few games I know we came in there for the Kansas city game for a bit but had to leave early but in the meantime only one loss during that stretch how how has Minnesota accounted for him being off the field it helps that they've got a couple of other players at the other skill positions obviously Devin cook having a really high quality even if you think running backs can win the MVP certainly in that conversation and then you know they've got that rookie tight and Smith who's been kind of filling out a little bit they need to you know figure out what else he can do because you they've been cutting cooperating in India and kind of slowly they wanted her to mention and he's you know twenty years old but you know he's very talented men of course they've seen kind of a revival of sorts from the contract on a little bit from the rookie BC Johnson none of that sounds very ideal in it it's all been very make work they finally talk how real get pretty actively involved in the offense last week but it's just not something I would consistently rely on going forward so the hope of course is that of doing good healthy you know obviously you got to be healthy for this game they're gonna buy we coming after that and then kind of going forward after that I think will expect to see him kind of the line up yeah my my fantasy team could use Adam Feelin back hash tag more than a feeling I I really need I had to squeeze that would in there I'm sure he's never seen that name ever never yeah it's it's probably not popular all of their Minnesota I bought was activated the activated wide receivers off the injured reserve Broncos activating Tim Patrick is gonna be the wide receiver to Vikings activating Josh docks and worse Josh docks and go to fit it in that minister offense yes I really think he I don't know if they would activate him they're just gonna make him an active on game day right so I I do think that they do plan on getting involved I just don't know how much is not really a special teams guy in so I would expect him to kind of compete level on quite well for stamps you'd still be behind the Johnson in terms of the snap count at least in my estimation I don't really you know I know these things for for but you know I I think that because quite well and doctor can can play fairly similar roles it's gonna be kind of a direct competition first maps between the two and it affected put willow's been serviceable in the past couple of weeks makes it a little bit more interesting that were not otherwise following the Chicago game the sixteen to six lost Kirk cousins has been playing kind of on another planet at least as compared to what was those first four games what do you what what what do we believe is the reason for that we've played a lot of bad defenses to my eyes I think that's a great that yeah and that and that helped a lot in the in the thing would cause them does that against bad defenses you statistically he outperforms only quarterback clean Patrick homes for breeze look at them against you know lead defenses last year or a bad defense as last year and and and cousins numbers against the same defenses or even better against average defenses he does pretty well he does about average again and again a unique it's really good defenses he does about as bad as some of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL and so it's very sensitive to kind of the situation around him I he has overcome that a little bit I thought the Detroit defense was kinda good going and they put a forty two points in large part because of what cousins was able to do in so you know it's not like a one to one thing but there is a lot there that'll tell you that you know you might just be you know the quality the defense that he's up against the my kind of dictate some of this and and I think that would be kind of a war you going in the Broncos game if you can do it again if you can perform against the Broncos you know maybe we can put those fears to rest but I mean that's been through you know for what while he was in Minnesota is true for a little bit in Washington as well and so it's kind of an open book you've been able to you know work off of play action because you know defenses that are pretty poor don't really have a lot of responses to that he's been able to trust his pre snap reach you consider pretty poor kinda reveal what they're doing in so defenses with a lot of the skies of the ability to pressure you off of play action and take that away you know those will present a lot of challenges to how is a Minnesota dealing with the injury specifically in the secondary amine out here in Denver we're no stranger that recall the second or the quilt because it's patchwork it's not exactly a blanket but it gets you covered how is house Minnesota doing in that second there with those injuries well they do have actually a lot of debt you know they they just activated old hill are not activated but he's off of suspension and so you know he's he's not really high quality corner that your reviews kind of attracted was because of the same reason he was suspended that there is a fear that he would just not be available the NFL and then you know my cues first round pick in if you didn't really have a great game thank you crossed and just generally speaking and and and simmers had a lot of first round quarterbacks over his tenure you know through Minnesota Cincinnati Dallas Atlanta and this is maybe the most but he's never late on a rocky core at least last year when he was a rookie in so you really high and my cues on the candy out there it's kind of turned around and so it got a stable of cornerback that they trust I think a lot more than you'd expect going all the way down to the fifth or sixth cornerback I and and that's been reasonable now the starting quarterbacks are performing well that well you can't really say you know whatever's happening is working but you know as they've had a lot of injuries that they've been cycling through they've been kind of confident about the players have been able to put in and at least you know not lose too much last question for your reef preaching popping all about thirty seconds left what would be considered success this year for the Vikings I know last year was a disappointment the expectations are high what's disappointment what success for the expectations of this team right now I don't think it's enough to make the playoffs I think I have to win I think they have to win in the playoffs improved that you know that what we saw in twenty seventeen with case Keenum you know with something that the team could find going forward and improve upon you know with Kirk cousins in India that's been kind of the whole point of this entire endeavor is to take that defense put a put a top level quarterback compare with that offense and make sure that they can actually quite first of all run so that's gonna be the marker for success we gotta go patriots on the way out go patriots it's so much to do this yes always great to catch up with the man thanks for the time thanks for having me all right recess on from the athletic one of my favorites he's the best welcome back to react to that great question coming on the tax line from Chris on dreadlocks timetable get that as well Broncos country tonight and came away news time is seven thirty our top story at least a half dozen people affiliated with the twenty sixteen tryout presidential campaign
