"Espn seven ten and the ESPN APP. So yeah I am curious to see how that would work itself out but yeah I. I wouldn't be willing to do it. So here's real quick on major league baseball they are planning according to USA. Today Bob Nightingale the MLB expects to use home ballparks for spring training if plans to play the season proceed so the dodgers would get to do their spring training here in dodger stadium and then potentially they can you know moved on to wherever they go right for even if it's just for a couple of weeks even if it's for a couple of months None of that stuff has been decided. We had passing on yesterday and pass and told us the story. That Major League Baseball is considering still playing in these biospheres and but warning players that it may not be a long term thing it may not have to be four months that may only be six weeks potentially but they are gonNA have to wait to see what kind of information they get from the CDC would be interesting. I mean I know I would just think of guys like Clayton Kershaw who have been very adamantly against leading family. He is in Texas with his family right now in. La Right. He's not in La. He's not at dot near Dodger Stadium. So he would have to come here. Clayton kershaw continually is a thorn in the Major League Baseball side at the moment because they wanna play in Texas probably to help him a little bit and I don't really yeah I I don't know I don't know where Mike Trout stays. I don't know if he's in L. A. or where he's in the East Coast maybe in Philly from Jersey. What am I have no idea? I have no idea where he's from but you know if noise from affiliate area. Yeah so if he's in PHILLY JERSEYS GONNA WANNA come all the way to to Anaheim to do spring training without his family. I mean those are the things that I think about. I think it's all right. Look I'm still with you especially if it's only six weeks. That's way more doable. At four months. Yeah which was a big thing that came out of that conversation with passing yesterday that that could be the case as far as the NBA's concern. We talked about this to start the show that there is a big story today. It dropped on. Espn DOT COM. Tim Bon temps and Brian. Windhorst laid out what it would take to play in a bubble city. And basically. Here's the thing that matters. The most there are a couple of things that there's a great story and there's a lot of detail but I'm going to just kind of give you quickly. What the main talking points are number. One is the schedule. Do you play the regular season. Do you play the playoffs. Well here's the outline if you play the regular season you're talking about at least two months playoffs and regular season if you're playing in this bubble atmosphere and you have games constantly playing. You're still talking about two months because teams need to rest in between like. You're not playing back to backs in these scenarios. Okay so if you just do the play offs and you give teams extended window to train and extended training camp all of a sudden. You're talking about less than a month if you just had the playoff teams. You're also narrowing the field which means there are less people that have to be at this event which to me makes all the sense of the world. Nobody at this point wants to just watch the end of the regular season. Okay Steve Kerr's out there telling people you know they're already an offseason moat and I bet you there's a couple of teams that feel that way because they're already out of it and you know what we've already disseminated who's going to be in the playoffs. The standings are basically said. Are there seedings? That could change here there. We play a few more games. Maybe but I don't think that's worth it in a situation like this to potentially spread the virus more by adding more people that are completely unnecessary at this point. So that to me is is issue number one. The other thing is about whether the League would allow families or not to come for example Lebron with Savannah and the kids. The League has rejected doing this without families for now in hopes of advancement in technology and the medical supplies and things of that nature and obviously testing is the most important thing which we've outlined constantly that there can't be testing. Take away from the general public or particularly the healthcare workers. We need to that five hundred thousand a day testing as a nation because the league would need at least fifteen thousand tests to get all this stuff done Where would they stay? One location wouldn't be ideal because of the potential spread which is why the Disneyworld situation has picked up steam. Because again you can spread them out over twenty-five resorts and if you're only doing playoff teams. Everybody gets their own resort. You're good to go there all mostly within walking distance and there are several facilities there to play basketball because the NBA does their junior jam thing or whatever it's called with the AAU team there in the summer normally at the wide world of sports at Disneyworld beyond that there'd be fifteen hundred essential personnel which means League people rafts TV Production Hotel personnel security transportation. Medics etc they tell the League people that your normal party of forty to fifty people won't work that you need to keep it under thirty like there. Are Things there that make a lot of sense? The age concerns for some of the coaches. Maybe who are older than sixty five? Who could be compromised from immunity standpoint pop and Mike Dan? Tony do day coach. Do they put their life on the line. I think that's a personal decision much like we talked about with the vacation..

"A half minutes national jazz day. Laura's Big Jazz Fan. I love me some jazz when I've been in New Orleans. That's something I seek out necessarily but I do enjoy whenever I've been in New Orleans a nice little jazz bar maybe a little scotch or bourbon and just kind of hang out. Jazz is great for just like sitting around the house which were doing a lot of right now and just relaxing or just doing stuff around the house. Yeah just having in the background. It's it's fantastic. It just keeps going. I love okay. Good that's surprising. You were asked. I don't know I didn't visualize you as a jazz guy. Geez thoughts that's fine. It's not low. Thought I think of you is a jazz guy. Who's not what I expected on you for a long time. I would have never pegged you as a jazz got big Fan. I was asking you what I was. GonNa ask you. We talked about this during the break. Because you had I had mentioned when we're talking about the NBA bubble right and just the change of the potential schedule which that would then become an issue right like not an issue but it would become kind of the norm right where the League would probably WanNa start in December late December early January and Clinton mentioned how that would change my vacation plans. And I'm like I'm not going on vacation and you said you really not going on vacation. We know why I vacation I had a vacation planned and right now I the one of the The vacation it was going to be partially done in a beach town and the other part of it was gonna be in a city now. The city was a hotel that I booked on cancelled easily but the AIRBNB can't be cancelled at the moment. Because they're only doing cancellations through may thirty first. So but yeah. I don't if I have to eat the money. I have the the money you know what I'm saying. I'm not planning on going anywhere this summer. I mean here's my thing about it all and I I may not take vacation either. But we're not really on vacation right now. We're still working. We're still doing it from home and I honestly I needed vacation from my apartment. I got to get out of here. Yeah I mean listen. That's up to you like I'm not willing to do that. I have small children. I have you know what I mean. Just not interested in doing that getting on an airplane at the moment unless I have to. You know what I'm saying like one thing would be me getting on an airplane right like for work which I've already stated like if I got to go to Disneyworld for this thing then so be it. Although I do think that TV will probably just do it from remote locations like I just think it's going to be a few cameraman remote cameras producers that need to be there to produce the game and I think all the talent will be on remote locations whether it's here in La at the La Studio. We have or in the New York studio in Bristol. So I would do that but I don't look I've had this conversation my wife. I don't just don't feel comfortable getting on a plane with the kids. Just not not right now. My own personal. You can do it. I'm not saying you shouldn't like I am never going to impose my own views. If there's one thing you're listening to here I may try to convince you of a sports debate when it comes to like personal stuff. I can tell you what I would do because it's my life. I'm never going to tell you what you should do right. Well good because I probably wouldn't listen anyway but I'm not going on a plane is the is the issue driving. Maybe we drive everywhere that would go from here to northern California and we drive the hallway. There is a stop in the middle of it where you have to stay in a hotel which. I'm not entirely comfortable with staying hotel but I've I mean I would stay at a nice hotel. I would spring for a nicer hotel. Yeah because we normally stay awake motel six on the G. I wouldn't do that right night. No offense to motel six. No because by the way I bet you hotels are super cheap right now. Like a fancy one even. Oh Yeah I bet you. We can get a nice five star hotel for real cheap. Yeah not edgy enough. Yeah I bet you could Laura are you. Are you feel about all this? Would you go on vacation? I wanted to because flight are so cheap but I'm too scared to so no I would love to hear from the audience. Eight seven seven seven ten. Espn eight seven seven. Seven three seven seven six and look. It could be too early to tell but nor am I trying to again. Tell you what you should be doing as a member of the audience..

"Brought that up. I may need to air dry here so hot in this office. I have no AC running through the office because it's right near the laundry room in the garage. So I may need to do that with the temperatures heating up here but Ben. Lyons joins US every week for our movie review. You're the best man. Thank you so much. Have a great weekend. Enjoy THE LATTE. Dance this weekend and stay safe. Thanks for having me on Buddy Bro. Take care there. Is I coming up next? Are We Hashtag Banning Mace? Greg Bergman will make the final decision next Black Panther soundtrack with Kendrick. My daughter my five year old. Watch that Black Panther with me the other day a little more of the sanitized version though but she actually. My five year was like no. I'm GONNA walk away from this and I'm like wow like I don't like the fighting and I'm like okay and then she'd come back but she did like watching the movies for the most part which was interesting. Thank my kids actually love? Marvin Louise No sorry. My Kids Love Marvel movie. There are a little older so it's a little bit older. Yeah yeah they're eight years old with a little bit older but yeah they love him? Yeah she's starting to like severe. She Likes Star Wars movies which my wife says are nerd movies and I tell her you say that again. There may be a divorce on the line. So you better stop that. So anyway but she does like the Star Wars movies too with me. She she thinks that the protagonist in the third in the last three star. Wars movies are not ray which you would think she would think that would be the case. Because she's a girl right. So she'd want the girl to be the protagonist. She likes ray but her favorite characters. Bb eight she thinks is the his is the little droid is the most cool thing in the star wars movies and she thinks that he's the real hero of the whole. It's kind of fun. Will be eight is the coolest thing in those movies. Much the hero. He does have spoiler alert. He does have the map right like not that. I'm spoiling anything. Because the first one came out five years ago and we knew that so anyway if you missed any way of our interviews but go ahead if you missed what got nothing to. Then Bergman go ahead I was just saying there was nothing relatable about any of the characters anyway so. Bb Eight was the best. Go I disagree with that wholeheartedly. How dare you? I Love The star wars movies. If you missed anyone of later ones all of them. If you missed any one of our interviews today including Ben Lyons who was fantastic with his football movies and movie reviews Clinton. Yates was great on the draft so as of course many times both of our all three of them our favorites here go.

"Yeah I just man. It's it's it's tough you know. Think Allen might tweeted something yesterday about you know if if there's no basketball the rest of the of the year and they they cancelled the season with this a success and and you know the responses are absolutely no the Lakers are about championships. And I kind of had a different take Jordan. Ah It's been a huge success obviously. It's disappointing. Yeah what it's a biggest bummer ever especially for Laker Fan. But a lot. "And then you realize you gotta ask him things. Didn't even prep for Ben Lyons joins us ESPN L as Ben Lyons. And Ben we're going to get to Carmelo with you. But there's breaking news. We're just everybody's finding out. The Draymond has been suspended tonight by the team he won't get paid tonight because of an altercation at the end of the game, or let's say an argument at the end of the game with Kevin Durant. When you hear that sort of that sort of thing come out of Golden State. Does it make you feel like there's a nail in the coffin on Draymond future recalled and state actually, thanks so much again for me on the show guys actually the exact opposite. I had the privilege of going up to Golden State before the season started with my folks from rock the vote. Caroline DeWitt, president of rock the vote alpha Collins, whose husband Jaren colony. Coach of the team we went up there, and we registered players and spoke to the guys about the importance of voting and what I took away from that. And the reason it comes up now because he's Kerr's created a culture within that team where it's really us against the world. And with so much outside noise around championship teams in -dorsements TV shows movies, and all these other things the fact that internally they can do something like this because of what's happening within their culture. It lets me know that the Draymond still bought in there all bought in like, they're all they're playing against legacy. They're playing against themselves. They're not playing the Houston Rockets anymore. Thanks to my guy. Carmelo and so the idea of J Mon being suspended that sounds like some high school team with you. And I like that energy around a team. It's also against the world. And I felt that when I was there in Denver. Well tonight, we'll have our own conversation about what this means. So the warriors, and whether we think it's good that they're this passionate for November game or whether it indicates a little bit more of that cracking that. Everybody has wondered what happened with a big names big egos big rings? But I want to get to mellow because you are his biggest fan potentially. I can feel the smile through the. I am not rooting for Carmelo to play poorly. I just have different opinions about him in his choices throughout his career than you do. But I have to ask you this. It seems like everyone is arguing against the idea of Carmelo being a scapegoat everyone saying I can't believe people are making him escape goat for the rockets failures. I even heard anyone actually say that. I've just heard that the rockets are saying this isn't working we'd rather fail fast and cut bait now. Darrow Maury colors outside the lines. He has always been a GM who goes against the grain. And if it is a situation where they realize what that we can see after fifteen games. This isn't working. Let's move on knows on a two million dollars deal, which an NBA money is nothing. I mean, I feel like Sarah Spain New Zealand ESPN, that's like like your podcast for NBA money. Two million.

"We are joined early ahead of schedule by Lakers GM and in the mind of Ben Lyons member of the fab go boo. That's right. Rob, how are you sir? With up guys, how you doing doing great. I, I guess the the I thought we have is actually Michael Thompson looking to grill. You are on on behalf of the comments from magic that he was giving Luke Walton permission slip. If the team gets off to a slow start that did not sit well, we don't bring LeBron hit to be mediocre. You know what MP's my guy right now, because the other day in person, he said to me in in front of a live audience. He said, I think this Lakers roster is the deepest roster in the NBA. And when I was driving home that night, I was like, yes, we did our job because I'm telling you to beat the champs and there's been a team that's been what four, four years in a row to the finals, and they've won three. You don't have a chance against those guys unless you have depth and you can just keep coming at him in ways. And so one of the things that magic and I really wanted to hit the target was to have a very deep versatile roster. So when Michael said that kind of unprovoked by us, it was such validation because he gets the league and so Mt your guy. Thank you, rob, you tell these two doubtless over here. Still vying for a ten day come. People talking about LeBron and his work usage, and he's such a such a physical specimen average thirty seven game last year with the Cavaliers. We think Andy and I think he's going to he should be around thirty two game because of the death on his roster. I think that would be ideal for LeBron. I think ultimately usage and lineups, and all of that is is so in the sweet spot of Luke Walton at, you know, urban and I don't get in into that stuff as much. But I'll tell you in terms of his body, the preparation that LeBron has in the weight room every every day and it's just been unbelievable. I, I think for our young guys, you know that magic and I've preached body fat. And we say, as as Lakers every day is a body advancement day, and we look at what Zo and coups Ma and guys who've done to transform their buys. Well, now to see that the great the greatest player in today's game to see the dedication of to three hours a day, putting into maintaining building, strengthen his body. It's elevated everyone around here. So I think that that the other exciting thing about our our roster and LeBron's leading that charge. I think he'll win. Whatever usage rate coach plays a at his body's ready for it. Talking with Lakers GM rob Pelinka the Sodano show any Kim. That's Ben lines. Michael Thompson in for George, what do you think is going to be the biggest adjustment? Rob for guys like Lonzo Ingram, coups, Josh heart, who've never even Casey p who've never played with a superstar before. I think it's, it's just like you can watch shark week on TV and you can say, okay, I think I know maybe what a great white shark looks like when it's women around the boat or..

She has to go to the bathroom bathroom overflows with debris who stugatz cheese quietly, trying to clean it up. He walks up the stairs and sees her on her hands and knees they meet is, and she immediately begin sobbing. Gorse he's going to begin sobbing. Again, I would have begun Saami I would've looked up and been like what happened. This is live at our show with Stu guys on ESPN radio. Having a blast with is you could hear as a madman Berkshire to ROY. Great Iggy pop song. The passenger. Oftentimes, I, of course, think of music with movies, the weather. The man is a fairly average nNcholas cage movie, but they used this music in the trailer. I mean, a great trailer can sell anything right song. Great trailer, great movie, speaking of movies, we're going to have top five sports move. You're gonna go around the horn here. It's going to be easy to meets. We ROY me, Chris me Billy all of us going to give our options here because many times is on get up. She's going to do her top five lists tomorrow. I the pleasure sitting in on, get up for three days with greeny and Richard Jefferson. You've got a list. Did you do a list? I did. I did a, I did a top five sports movies list. And is it green already talking about that? Right. Well, I'm going to do it properly to help, but greenie hated it. I don't think Richard Jefferson knew a couple of them, so we're gonna go around the horn on this before we do that though. I want to ask Chris Cody, how he's dealing with his growing fame because we had a very provocative conversation here about social media and is us general balance with it. My own rules with Twitter and such Billy what he's doing now that he's engaged, Chris, how are you dealing with you're going fame and balancing that social media? Well, when you deal with all the fan, love that an associate producer deals with. On a middle of the road radio show. It's tough to just keep track of everything. So what I do is I separate my social media, my Instagram is for the fans, so that's open to everybody. The Facebook is more private. So if I get a friend request from someone who I don't know on Facebook, not accepting in you. Sorry, it's funny people do that with Facebook. They're very protective. I think it's because it's called friends, right? Maybe you don't just want him let anybody be a friend. I kind of got a. My Twitter account's kind of infamous now and ESPN for some reason. "Com slash Dan d. a. n. they asked me dispel that ZipRecruiter the smartest way to hire that is you could eras Adnan Virk joining forces today lebatardshow with stugatz minus Dan and Stu, but much of the shipping container here along with us. We'll get back to a story that I know is you want to dive into, but a Steelers fan infiltrating. I'm talking earlier about black klansman which the tagline Ford is perfect infiltrate hate. This is all would infiltrating the black and gold. We'll do that in a second, but we were talking about social media and Instagram and Facebook and how it's so prevalent. Nobody better to talk with the subject matter. Then the great Ben lines, you know, and love him from ESPN LA seven, ten, of course. He is my brother in arms because of Oscars, all access which we have done together. That's right. We've covered the Academy Awards twice. We've been. We wanted to me last year nominated again this year Ben first and foremost. Thanks for being with us. And second question, which I've always wanted to say to you, please tell us national audience all about fat Jewish and how that's so important in social media today. Thank you for for having me on the show guys. I feel like I only know is through social media and the radio. I haven't had the privilege of meeting him in real life. I just have digital and media relationship with Izzy, but I grew up with the fad Jews. He was at my wedding was my first friend that my wife met when she met me at the ten film festival, and he's a great follow on Instagram and row and white girl Rosa has been has been the drink of of the summer in our household for many summers though. So that's that's my guy. The big diehard long-suffering knick fan as well and received some of those NBA warnings. You get when you heckle too much sitting in the Spike Lee seats, so he's, yeah, he's a die, hard knick fan. I dear friend of mine and you exist. You produced a documentary, which was terrific played, try back. I went side and it was excellent because it deals with social media and how it's so prevalent today and how people might think all these people just get famous for being on social media Britney, Furlan others like that. But there's like a real art form to right Ben. Yeah. I, I had the privilege of producing the stock that you saw with the fat Jew and Paris Hilton and DJ coward. And it was definitely a strange feeling take when my parents to the premiere of a movie I'd worked on and it's a documentary about Paris Hilton. And I think they were proud of me for the film came out. Great. It's called the American me and it's and it's coming, give you real Hollywood answer. So you'll be able to see this fall and I'll leave it at that. So, yeah, we're excited about. Then the last time we talked, I think I think it was right before I went to Vegas for the first time. Do you remember that by chance? Do you remember afterwards though? I do. I do remember I remember you saying that we're going to have to talk off the air because you were a little concerned about my lifestyle. I think you were implying some things there. I had a window in my life. I went to Vegas every Saturday night for two years when I was a host on the each annal. So I was doing like forty five nights a year inveigle clearly before I was married clearly before I had real life responsibility. So I'm kind of Vegas out now. My Vegas is just like driving a summer league with russillo and Choubey stop and Baker in Barstow in it's a mad Greek on the way there..

"A national players only meeting immediately reaping dividends take a listen to how stupid i am and how foolish my words were yesterday about the nats holding a players only meeting the washington nationals are holding a players only meeting i think that's the funniest thing that sports these guys are together all the time and then all of a sudden they think they have a players only mean that's what change things they spend all their time together let's get together we're always in the same clubhouse all the time we traveled together we do everything together but now we're gonna players only meeting and this will just clear the table we'll air our grievances and we're going to rip off twelve game winning streak yeah and i stood by that statement because i'm like they're always together why would a players only meeting different and then this is what happened last night the want to sway let's go back to the wall good for her initials probably they were down nothing it's ten honestly mike golic junior you're doing snapchat last night sports you're pumping you're fiscal and yes virk is an idiot let's go nationals players only meetings it was like trae turner heard you and decided to make it his own personal duty eight rbi later to go ahead and just completely dummy this idea of the players only meeting not working it was remarkable i mean they're down there were there have been one hundred four teams that have been down nine plus run the season and the nats are the only one to come back and win and they did it yesterday after you said that one in one hundred four take a look at those percentages buster only of course our baseball insider check it his podcasts baseball tonight podcasts always good buster explain the rationale behind a players only meeting the nationals players are trying to ramp up the sense of urgency in the leader of that in that players only meeting was max sherzer yelling to his teammates yelling at his teammates trying to get them going look since june ninth they are ten games worse in the standings than the phillips affiliates there now seven games out of first place behind the atlanta braves below five hundred this point and look any savvy manager knows that if you're going to have a team meeting the best time to do it is before you face a bad team will the next eleven games for the nationals forgets the marlins three against the pirates four against the mets i don't know if that was in max scherzer mind when this meeting took place but it was a smart decision if it was see it's such a stealth move by baxter's my love max tres i called the gay monday in dc he's obviously when the games great pitchers i think the best pitcher in the game he's dying his third straight cy young award he's our ticket savvy he's smart and that's what this was you schedule the players only being at the right time it's like what a coach gets fired mike you do it at the right time you figure out when it's a soft part and the schedule and you fire the guy bringing the new gun wail ripped off her nice winning streak isn't a smart move by maximum artificial bump.
