Guest Teacher Benjamin Schneider on How to build and scale a digital marketing agency only with remote workers
"A marketing agency is one of the best ways to build wealth. Why because a lot of people don't understand it's easy to scale of course it's hard to scale if you're doing the work but the point here is that you don't do all the work you hire other people. Great talent designers developers hardworking people that you can get them to do certain tasks work on the projects that you get hired to do an reap the benefits now. Ben's going to break down. Show you who to look for the mistakes people make but i'll be back at the end of the episode to tie things up and share my takeaways but for now take it away. Ben guys welcome is bench neither. I'm an entrepreneur from germany. And i own several businesses and one of the business i do is having an online marketing agency. So that's what we're going to talk about today. My topic is how to build and scale a digital marketing agency. Only with the remote workers. I've been working with remote workers for around eight years and i'm the owner of chop mafia dot com remote work platform. So you can go in hire remote work beer and that came from my digital marketing agency because our online marketing guy. So i have my own ecommerce store and out of that ecommerce store people were asking me. Hey ben how are you doing this. Can you help me with that. And all that kind of stuff and out of this. I created or found my digital marketing agency so our facebook ads did more than two million dollars for clients in zales with facebook ads but the problem was by selling companies. These facebook ads. They do not only need the facebook ads. they also do need landing pages. They need google ads. they need. We deals for youtube. They need graphics for youtube or graphics for ats graphics for the website. All that kind of stuff. So i was realizing. Hey if you're selling facebook ads. It's a good business. But companies need more. They need a full service solution and they want to have a full service solution because they do not want to have usa facebook guy and another one for google ads and another one to grade sales funnels. They want to have one agency one person to talk about their marketing stuff and outsourced that so by realizing that was thinking about. Hey how can. I build an agency like that. Because i'm only a one man show in the half other businesses to manage. And i'm quite good at facebook ads but i have no idea about google ads or some other stuff like billing websites or developing some stuff stuff like that so i need people for this. Hiring people from my country from germany is quite expensive so if you would hire a designer for example that custody around three thousand dollars a month so basically. It's an euros but yeah three thousand dollars a month. That's quite the same so this was too expensive for me okay. That was just not possible. So i needed to have another solution and then i came on the idea. The possibility to hire people from the overseas from the philippines pakistan india countries. Like that. why. Because these people were a lot of more cheaper than the german guys. So i was starting with that was trying that and some positive experiences some negative experiences but in general it was good in general it was working so i need to find myself a way to find people who are fitting into my company and were having a very high quality and this was the key to build and scale might digital marketing agency. Because as i mentioned i wouldn't have been able to hire three four five german guys. That would be just too expensive. But i was able to hire some people from the overseas so i started with hiring a designer and i would recommend you guys this. Start with hiring a designer. Why because definitely there's no company in two thousand and twenty one who do not need a designer in their company because you have so much posibilities to spread content out there and that's why you definitely need to have a designer but the other advantages that designer does not need to have any log in credentials or access to any sensitive data or something like this you can just give them a few pictures and title or anything like that and tell him hey. Police creamier facebook ads. Spanner out of that. And in addition to that you see the result immediately with a developer. If you're another developer guy you have no idea if this wella per is good if this is fast or anything like that but the with a designer you see it easily you see easily on. The result of this design is good or not that he take around one day for this or one hour as fast or not so. It's very very easy to start with with a designer as a remote worker indefinitely you need to have one in your company. I just proudly recommend that so our starting also they designer and this man helps me to improve my facebook ads because we have awesome designs. But before i did all designs and all the banners and all that stuff by myself. And i'm definitely guys not a designed so you can imagine how tremendously the quality was improving by that guy so realizing hey this was working with the design guy. I get one step ahead. I hired someone for google ads. I hired someone for wordpress websites and stuff like that. So i was not only able to provide high quality to my clients with that remote working guys. Some accompany hours able to widen my portfolio. So i wasn't the for the branding out there. I was still the facebook. At sky in the facebook ads marketing like a guru and sold my book an amazon bestseller and stuff like that but then the back end i was able to sell them not only facebook ads but google ads and landing paycheck and a new website and email marketing. And all that stuff as well. Because i have a team right now and this is very easy scalable because if you're found a way and we come to data and a few seconds if you have found a way how to hire good people and not being scammed by people and really knowing that this people half good and high quality output you could easily repeat that hiring process and scale your business with that. As i mentioned. I've created more than ten million dollars ten million years in sales for my clients. This was only possible with having team. So how did you do that. You got on dot com on my platform if you would like to check this out. Fourteen days for free and create a shop post. We have only. Id verified user skies this very very important also. Go hiring on another platform. Feel free to do that but definitely do only hire people who are ide- very fight

Clifftops policemen happy places public votes. Jeff then there were those hideous eating trials where all sorts of fatty gelatinous rubbish had to be digested. Yes well down to the davison ben who did picky tease each friday. Now indeed speaking of which scuttling up to the microphone like an overeager cockroach with a questionable moustache. Producer ben guys. I'd like to see that cockroach. Yes comedy cockroach. Sounds like a cockroach so maybe I'm imagining a credit. One of those. So horrible plastic massages. You get in christmas crackers or maybe you don't go because you probably get some sort of like car in your christmas crackers or something but not an faberge hundred masons deluxe range coming up later in. Today's episode. I'm going to be challenging to the actor and former king of the jungle the winner of serous seven of i'm a celebrity christopher biggins i think the moment he threw up on the cliffs he was my widow. He's been absolutely charming. I think he's just handled it brilliantly. As bad people love he laughs at excels and where people come to me for advice. If they're going into the jungle and my advice always be yourself and he is see on the script you've written. Icg age which i feel some some points acronyms become more than that was. You could just misled like you said out loud eddie foot. Gmo age. Which i was bored helps me. Fill the time wasting for jordan. Come out to the also and we should just say if you are listening to this podcast. Contemporaneously have only got five more episodes of celebrity. The final is on friday coming up. Which means ben potentially depending on now. The voting has happened and we're voting to to keep our favorites in the camp. If jordan makes it to the final gene divas. You got five more episodes of this. If jordan comes out before. I get an early night. It's win win win really. I'm i'm fairly relaxed about about everything. Well i had a good old lion yesterday. So i'm feeling refreshed and ready to go for the final five days and looking back. It's been two weeks now jordan on our television screens. He's been in a car. So i don i which is more of a challenge watching it for two weeks or being in the castle but yeah i guess it's time for a bit of reflection. How'd you think jordan has changed since he got into the castle because well it seems long ago now but when we first saw him on that cliff was he was in a very different place to where he is now literally. And metaphorically yes he. It was all downhill from there I or india naught it was actually uphill for jordan. Because he has he has really developed as a person. We love him obviously very much. But i think he has. I want to say he's matured. I thought about saying matured. But then i remembered jeff say pulling finger so maybe matured isn't the way isn't the word but i think he has sort of the way. He looks at obstacles or challenges in his life and what he has learned within in these first two weeks and he he may go no further. Who knows i think he will then when he has. You know a lesser challenge in life. Because i mean. I doubt very much. There are going to be many more opportunities in his life where he's locked in a box with snakes calling him although we have got to do in the spring. So we implant that yet. I think he will go well. I've done that actually. This is a because jordan said on the podcast before jordan sometimes when he's going through sort of difficult life career social decisions sometimes. I do the same with him. We'll we'll phone each other of talk it through jordan perhaps needs needs more talking through. Because he's he's a talker and his job. But i actually think probably. Although he'll i would hope he's still finds me for advice. I think actually he'll be a lot. More self assured and confident as he goes about every aspect of life. Yeah it is is a funny thing. Isn't it because. I think a lot of people and this is getting for the software now which is an we often. Don't get so serious on help us. that's my boss. But we have our moments. I'd say we'll we'll do a penis joke in a minute. Stay with us change. But i think a lot of people say. Oh they'll consider. Change is a bad thing of developing always change. But i think i completely disagree with that. As a as a as a thought process i think changing is what we can order to combat people and i think not only as jordan so of developed himself. I think just being in that environment he as this podcast proves for both of you for for everyone involved we get along with people that aren't always exact like us and i think jordan has once again been flung into a situation where he's with eleven other people probably most of whom are nothing like him on paper. They wouldn't normally go for pint with my our or i mean he'd be making. Tv victoria daba shit but actually big on a level with them and just having hopefully a nice time as well as being starving and being forced to or for awful trials He he'll have learned so much about himself..

"So you don't have to I'm your host markets later and I'm joined here today by Chris Ye and Ben Storms say hi guys. Hey, I'm Chris. Hey. I'm Ben Guys. That feels like it's been four ever since we've done one of these lightning rounds but that's where we are today I. Guess because our last one was the mega lightning round which was just a whole different animal. It's technically still lightning round kind of it was still lighting around. It was a hundred questions of like a lot of lightning quite storm. The estimated six to nine questions we're about to answer but I'm glad we're back I love doing these episodes and I'm very excited. They are some of my favorite. You'll often I wasn't really saying recurrently trying to buy target over the question list. Professional host. Very very first question here is what if we actually them explain real quick. I'd like to do that. Some I. Don't know if I do that too often anyways to the audience. Yeah. Typically for for episodes we we do a bunch of research and we'll prepare answer on one specific question auto lightning rounds we. And we try do a bunch in like a lightning round setting where you very fast blitz thunder lightning and all those things. But anyway, what if life was a musical but if life was a musical Does that mean everyone is good at singing or that you you're you sing regardless of whether you're good. I think he's seeing single garage. Good. Yeah. Well, I think it's kind of one of those things where everyone happens to be good enough and if you just suck at singing maybe your background character, maybe that's the drink. Herbal class system. Whether you're. A physics in fourth class system of like you can go through your day maybe a much better worse to be the center of attention 'cause like you get to talk out, you get to sing out your problem, the center of attention. But then everyone's GonNa know all your Shit. Like if you're doing your the lights dim and you're doing your internal monologue about how much you got damn hate Jerry. Jerry onto. Jerry. Just to hear that. And you probably don't get your Jerry's monologue maybe juries and very good sing and he gets to see no privacy. So important question. Is there like an orchestra? I assume there's music playing just from Lake everyone either. Yeah. Yeah and I imagine it being orchestral music. I mean not necessarily just like, Disney. Style music I guess. It depends on it depends on what your mood is. It might be you might be feeling a rap that day that might be it's your emotional state you get your second Hamilton. Amilton you're you're trying to overthrow the Brits and suddenly like you're rapping everywhere is happens you know do you have to right? I mean rhyming is a big part of songs I feel like it's not necessarily part of song can musicals. Like? Show yeah. Like if. It was just one of the shows where like they're singing normal sentences. I think like lemons is like the right kind of. it depends I've effectively already exhausted my knowledge of music having gone into any detail on anything. Limited. Yeah. In vague terms like if you ask me a specific about it, I would not be able to answer but yet I'm aware I'm aware that that is a musical. Here's a very important question I can't remember which a musical where literally everything is an song or as a subcategory musical. I don't think it has to be everything's a song. I think it's Because like lot of Disney movies you consider musicals see but I don't. I think that technically those might not he musicals Korean wikipedia there were there musicals? Definition, the most important part of that has shown up early, which is going to Google and look at the declaration or something what is a musical? I? Don't think he has to be everything I think it just has to be some sort of song the a character's singing. Yeah. This this definition is just saying like we're singing and dancing player in central park dancing I hadn't thought about the dancing, but they're gonNA be dancing I also thank dancing isn't necessary for musical, but it is a big part in a lot of things according to this dictionary definition. It says essential part right sung through musical. So specific subsection musicals is sung through musical where everything is is Sung but guide. Okay. Yeah. Those help Hamilton is in that category. Yes. Every humira son I mean I think the first point that we made is probably the most salient point about just it's it's you don't get to ventnor stuff but if you're good at singing, you'd have to bet your stuff if you're good at singing than your major character, which means all the good stuff and bad stuff happens to you all the background characters just like not interesting stuff. Here is one thing about being a background character if you're. Musical it means you're. Dancing. It does mean you're dancing you have to be a dancer so you have to be able to do one of the two. Either singer dance you gotTA. Pick. Dancing all the time since. That was possibly. Would you rather? At some point. Would you rather? Yeah, it was. Would you rather sing dance all the time Marcus was an episode we had a guest Oh. Yeah. What the? What? The one actual thing of the one episode I missed podcast it's fantastic I. Think I think what would you guys let on that which one's better singing or dancing? I don't remember what I said. I don't prefer it was if I was I was singing because Dent said, Dante knows too tiring. I think well, I guess the conclusion is that if life musical things with suck for everybody being character or not Alec Musicals Sale I do to be nice. All right. Here's another one. What if we only used acronyms? How'd you describe what acronym using like it? What if someone doesn't know what the acronym is what the acronym means? How would you describe it? Can you like is it is it? Possible. I, don't know if it is there will be some very common acronyms that like everyone to see. You could try to use common ones to describe it somehow. There's you can communicate at least minimums where you know you can be like W T.F Al. Okay. But here's here's a hypothetical in this hypothetical for you, Marcus. So you say you say like is very easy to use like say L. O. L. for lot how loud what if you wanted to I don't know behind land lakes butter. L. Be. Is it like super important that it's weighing lakes? I mean it could be I think what I think you can I think Ben is saying is you can't multi-purpose akrons without confusing the issue though. is against using her neck and M.'s.

"Hello everybody and welcome to absurd hypotheticals, the show where we overthink dumb questions, so you don't have to I'm your host markets leaner and I'm joined here today by Chris, Ye and Ben Storms say hi guys. Hey, I'm Chris Ham. Ben Guys were on the other side. We are in triple fragging digits episode one on one. We did that last episode though. He ready made it to triple digits. Yeah, but we had other things to talk about. That was actually the now. Triple digits is the exciting thing until we hit quadruple digits, okay? Even two hundred like Oh we just did another hundred like it's the same accomplishment again. It's still pretty impressive. This is podcasting one one. You get to be excited about one on one I figured someone who's GonNa that joke eventually. Really because I just thought about did not expect it. I thought of it and then decided not to say it. At, least I'm surprised. Oh Oh my gosh. Yeah that a good we'll just keep that in the in the file for whenever we need it. Degree or Chris Going WHOA. Whoa I'm always a motive, so we're going to save it for Chris Whoa Okay Gosh. I never say Gosh. Well, it might be your new thing. That's my career is now. You're hundred and one to when I nine episode countries. We need something to put on. The T shirts Gosh. Gosh. Every time every time. We say a number that has no context like. That sounds exciting because the big number, but you have no idea how old the number is like Gosh. That'll be. That'll be our code for that analogy. Look, we're improving the podcast in the podcast. itself made so many improvements in the first hundred, and this is our one improvement in the second hundred on unheard podcasting technology. Right here it's called life editing and we're. We have a patent several back off. Hopefully! There's some actual edited during this this whole secrets right here so anyway, really they are. We'll get your patents ready. Because today we are going to be improving bowling because our question is. How would you improve bowling? I guess I'll start with. You guys laughing at me, yes. We are so the way I like to approach these improving sports questions that we do is to really like. Go Down, or what's fun about the sport in the first place and then just highlight that. So, I imagine if you ask someone who bowls for real as a hobby, or you know semi, professional or professional, the answer is going to be something about like developing the technical skill, puzzling her to get tricky spares. Stuff like so much nonsense like that. That's not where the fun of Bowling is. They've missed the point all of them. We really boil it down to its core. Bowling is about it just being fun to chuck a big hardball at a bunch of stuff and have it fall down near fall fast. Pin Go down. You know it's much. Look if you think about the real like. The way. It clicked for me was the difference between hitting a strike? Will you throw the ball really slow when the throw the ball really fast. Wake when you throw like a regular slow amateur speed, and you get a strike, it's exciting and look over and like someone wings down That's awesome. So my first instinct was to just replace the pins with a much more elaborate Django type tower. That was really fun to watch. But I don't think that's quite threat fun, either because you do want to try a little bit. You don't just be like a a video of watching Jenga tower fall down. So what I wanted I was interesting things to knock down. And it got me thinking about one of the real life. You know quote Unquote Sports that I've been really wanting to try. If it was anywhere close and I am talking about top golf. Have you guys heard of top golf? I have heard of top golf. There's actually a Taco F- location near where my like family in Florida lives. We almost gone to several times. I thought you're going to say your office. It ought where. Floors Kinda far away. My First Instance of hearing Topkov Utah me about top golf a minute ago and meeting, not knowing and not saying anything about it. So top golf is a kind of. It's not a sport, but new activity thing that you can do and basically what it is. It's effectively a driving range, so you go out there. You have golf balls. You hit him with golf clubs, but instead of hitting the ball into a field. There's all these like big targets set up like in the grass and the cool thing about it is that all the balls have little GPS chips in them see hit the ball out there and it lands on the target, and you know you hit the blue target near the middle, and it'll like you know the GPS tracks. It gets you that many points so really what you have is like A. Like, a Sh-, mortgage board of things to Gaul at all going to go for the far target, because it's more points, I'm GonNa go for that one and that one. This one that one and that's really cool and what's Nice about it too that it actually makes a little bit more like going out bowling, because instead of just going out to A. Out On lawn next lined up next to country. Bunch of people you actually do usually have like a semi private room where you have a little bit seating table. Sometimes there's food and drink service and see the place to hang out like you do with bowling. And then you got so, it's already working its way towards bowling so I think it's a neat idea, but since it's absurd, hypothetical I think there's any reason we can't just repurpose it and take it about four steps too far along the way. So the first thing, and this might be more personal choice, but the first thing to do is change the ball. If you guys have played a candle pin bowling or a similar bowling variation that uses the small bowling ball instead of the big full size. You know typical Americana Bowling Ball. You're out if you haven't tried the small one because it is so much more fun to throw that thing, it's really really hard fast. It definitely is like a sixteen pound ball, or even like a twelve pound ball I can pick it up and I can throw it, but like I can't. Get a I've never happy with him on a fight. Again I actually prefer the big ball, but I can see why. You'd like this small, ball. Because I'm small weak. D Do you know what the maximum weight? A Kennel pinball is by the way because. I don't know I two pounds seven ounces as opposed to the like minimum. What like ten on a regular bowling ball? It's just enough half. It's got heft, but it's not handy exactly. Feels waiting until this chuck it..

I'm writing and been living among the romantic poets. Where my favorite The English romantic were my favorite poets and I always wanted to meet John Keats. he lived for a very short time and did some of the greatest Poetry in the history of the world. And I've just just. He had an amazing mind and he was one of the very. Few poets was a decent human being And he's just been much on my mind of late and I just would love to sit down and talk to them. Michael you know. I guess I'd have to go with Dante. I WANNA go way back. I don't want to say like Reagan or Washington right. I want to go all the way back to Dante because Reagan. You know he was like a pretty quiet guy didn't have a lot of friends he was he was very loud publicly but privately wasn't. Washington was apparently kind of stern. I think Dante he's a guy could get like ten or twenty drinks with and really program. You don't have a great time so I'm going for him also because there hasn't been a great poet since John Keats so you know I wanNA bring one of those guys back then. I mean the obvious. Answer is Moses because I have questions yeah I will give an answer but I'll also give fo- answer which is a friend of mine once said It's too bad. You can't bring Jesus back to life. Imagine what he could have accomplished if they hadn't killed him curse Christian. If you're a Christian of the great reread the story I probably would Bring Washington I. I'm fascinated by Washington because he was such a singular figure historically. There's very few men in all of history Who who were as central to the moment in which they lived as he was truly. If any other person had been in the position that he was in. I don't think we would have the country that we have that said. I'm sometimes struck by the fact that he died. And it's terrible because he basically blood himself to death right He. He basically killed himself by believing in a barbaric practice of bleeding. When you have a fever otherwise he'd still be with us and yet. His death came as as with almost every aspect of his life. His death came exactly when it probably had to occur in order us to remain America because as things fell into more and more disarray after he left office. There's more and more call for him to sort of step back up near John. Adams wanted to bring him back in a military capacity bringing back as commander in Chief. And and so it's probably. It's fairly amazing that he did every single thing that he had to give us a country including dying when he did Ben Guys We. We've all gotten the wrong and when I say the correct answer. You're all going to acknowledge the correct answer. A person who would bring back from death so that you could ask questions absolutely Jeffrey. What did you send Jeffrey? Out of? Baskin's first husband has so much more to tell. I mean all all Carol Baskin's first husband has to say is that that was a mistake. Jeffrey Epstein's man that guy that guy's got some stories to tell ya gotta who died. When he had to save our countries. I would say Hamilton. Just 'cause I WANNA know if he likes player not and who shot you dishonor. I'll answer it for Lee. He doesn't like the play the play. But you're right you're GONNA come back. You're you're right. He's income back from eighteen. Three is going to be like you know what I liked. This newfangled form we call rap Lin-manuel Maranda and be like no half of this is not historically accurate. Dude what the heck so at least you stick around with as I present my last question to the panel for tonight. You know it as we talked briefly about. It's also we're in the middle of a once in a century traumatic event for the country. Leave it to the left to conflate these two things and they also see a silver lining their silver lining. Is that what it can teach US spiritually to look at the kinds of tragedies that are taking place around us to then the the silver lining is humans are dying and not burning fossil fuel. This isn't a joke. It's not hyperbole. There was an actual story out today about how we've cut carbon emissions for twenty twenty by six percent and if we do that every year for the next ten years will be on track to accomplish the the Paris climate changes The Paris climate accord's projections. Been you got a you got a little bit of a war on twitter over this today which I always appreciate Well the tool bad I mean Eric Eric. Hold houses namely the guy so he tweeted out. He's like well. This just proves that we can do it guys. I have questions like a few hundred thousand. People are dead and the entire world. Economy is destroyed. So we kool-aid one tenth the way there Ben exactly I feel like I feel like there's some downsides that are that are being ignored in this in this little calculation and then of course he did the ridiculous twitter trick. Which is that when somebody who is more prominent than you re tweets you or says something to you then you change your twitter handle to rip them and so his very clever riposte to me pointing out that. Perhaps the the near apocalypse might not be the best solution to the possibility that the climate is. GonNa warm by one point five degrees Celsius. Of course next one hundred years that perhaps the complete destruction of all we hold dear and the deaths of thousands of people who like that. Maybe that might not actually be the best possible solution. To the fact that water levels gonNA rise by like a foot over. The course of accenture pointed this out. He went to Ben. Shapiro is a racist which I have to say extraordinarily convincing. I immediately recanted brier production. And now I'm on board with mass numbers of people dying because obviously save obviously save the world if we can only save the world so there are no people I mean this is actually the real solution right. We're just getting rid of the people. If it weren't for the people the air would be beautiful. The trees would be blooming. This actually connected the whole house thing to rip on your boy again here knowles but I connected. It's in the whole pope. Nature is taking revenge. It's like I've something totally about nature. I've been trying to warn people about nature for a long time warning about nature and this one's for you. This goes out to Lisa crouse. Who LOVES HER SOME NATURE OKAY? I've been saying this contest to it because she was on morning radio with me for years..

Yeah we're we've honed in on on what makes a good podcasts. And we found out that it's arms nothing else matters nothing. Nothing else matters at all so in light of that revelation that that wonderful epiphany our question. This week is of course. What if your arms got one inch longer? Every month we're GONNA say the starts at our current ages so twenty eight about the same. I'm not sure if you guys were actually so. Did you have birthdays that I missed? I'm I'm still twenty eight. I'm twenty nine. I had my birthday over. Haiti's the day that Benja married. Oh Yeah I think I did. How good friend. Navy at remember anyhow so starting now so you you you grow normally. I was talking about it with a with one of my friends and she was like so if you start. When you're you know conceived your arms are going to be longer than you are when you're born and I'm like Oh God no we're gonNA WE'RE GONNA start at GonNa started our age. We're GONNA start once you're an adult so you can deal with some of it anyhow so when it's longer every month only the the length of your arm is going to increase your arms are GonNa stay kind of the same mattis skinny. They're not GONNA get like super scale up in all dimensions and your hands at the end of your arms gonNa stay the same. You gotTA have little hands. Which is a much funnier image to me this. I hate it so much this image. Okay then you hit the tiny. Which do you want the long hand Matt to and Both Valley? Worse I was GONNA say the hands to save proportional and then I imagined what like a five foot hand but on the spindly arm her spindly hand fingers. It's not as much the tiny hands as the the very long skinny arms are just like very like glitch video game in my mind. I'm not happy about it. I just spent a week thinking about this. I'm going to make the listeners do it too. We also said that it's proportional so like your upper arm and your for your forearm. They grow at the same rate. Your elbow stays in the middle. Yeah you're able to stay in the middle which is but I really long straight arm and then a tiny little. Eat It Well that's you hate it so much. Tell us about your answer all right so so. I did some sort of like general. What life is like with this? You know sort of stuff and the first thing I want to figure good. It's clearly not I'm GONNA go ahead and get but the first thing I actually was just. When do you realize happening because like I I was thinking it was actually kind of hard to realize this? And there's there's one very clear thing that will trigger at which is. Do you wear long sleeve shirts. So you'll realize the winter. I wear long sleeve shirts to work every day. And I'm pretty sure that if this art happening to me I would realize within literally like the first month because I would have just this extra risk coming out of my the end of my slave. I'm pretty sure I noticed that like because I had comparison point right there i. Let's say two months. I think the first month like I'm not sure shrinking. I gotTA CHECK MY DETERGENT. But but it'll be all of it is. I think I think it will be because we all of them. I think I would actually realize pretty ugly but you want. Do you wash your shirts. Different detergents Ben. Are you a fancy lad? I this is true marcus but I want to hear out. If you don't wear long sleeves say that you like it starts late spring. Don't wear them to work. Or you just live in San Diego or something where it's always. Nice Yeah. I don't really wear long sleeves to work in the summer. So all right so yeah so say say it happens to you. Chris. When when is the first time you would actually realize not traffic for for things like I would notice if suddenly my arms for longer I was like tying my shoes maybe a foot difference there and I definitely notice just normally before then. So it's not that I thought about like touching my ceiling wedge like reached up if I yawned or something but there's still like with my parents are pretty low. I saw like a six inch gap there so maybe but not before then I finally realized what it one hundred percent be is. Everyone has something in their life. They had to standards a little bit on their toes to reach up high. And for me. It's like a couple pans on top of my cupboards kitchen. Act LIKE YOU KNOW. Lean just a little bit up to get to. It's like two inches up. Maybe I'm pretty sure that when I could just suddenly retirement grabbed them one hundred percent. No he was going on. You're not GonNa think that you just grew some. Mario like you had a gross. Like second growth spurt or something. I mean I don't I before I thought my arms were growing but then I measure myself. I wouldn't have you know yes you know so. I think that's I think that sort of the indicator where you realize it definitely is whatever that thing is in your life you half years you know strain a little bit to get to. You'd suddenly wouldn't and it'll be weird. Do you think you'd think you'd start getting clumsy? Where like you're used to your arms being the exact length all the time and then suddenly. There's like knocking shit over like all the time I thought about that and I thought about like if you know like sit down your computer and then suddenly your elbows. We further back. Because you're you know armed for longer and you get weirded out but I don't know how notice that before I would notice you know the reaching thing but maybe I don't know maybe if you had something that you like how now. There's no way no way for us to test this right. Yeah exactly we cannot scientifically determine when you would notice first so some more stuff so one clothing usually in these questions after we had like you know get custom clothing or something you technically actually don't have to with this one which is really upsetting. Really all close was still fit. You it's just the your arm stick way out from them. Which is hilarious. The other deaths. Now Yeah so like I think I think you probably WanNA wearing a lot. Like like sleeveless shirt to make it less obvious that you have freakishly long arms. Get cold right well. Yeah you'll get cold well and then the thing is that you know. You can't really wear jackets. Drying more to use an umbrella chart asking myself wait. When can you stop us here? And I'm like when. Can you don't agree? He's an umbrella sitting certain point. You can't hold umbrella and have it be over like have it be over your head still right and still be useful. Does that make sense? Yes going to high in the water. Just got an idea like blocking water for someone who's three feet above right. Exactly get on. Get like the right angle. You have to lay out your elbow in your elbow. Be Getting wet so I figured that the point where an umbrella is no longer fully effective is when as long as you can hold your arm straight down and not have hit the ground. You can hold it above you right. That's basically it so for me. My arms are about twenty inches long and it was twelve inches from the shoulder to the elbow and I measured it. There's a forty two inch gap for my elbow to the floor right now. So once my upper arms fifty four inches long. I can't use an umbrella anymore and that would get me to the age of roughly thirty five. I guess after that. I'm just GonNa get wet did did you have shown to help you. Measure yes it did. Yes on the link from my elbow to the floor. I got my article myself that when I did I could not figure out the other one. I did spoil also mentioned my whole body. I think we all did like coyly went into the living room and I'm like Hey. What's their tape measure? And she's like over there. Why I'm like no reason and then I went into into into the bedroom just like close the door and then did weird measuring so she won't judge me implications if you if you take tape measure out of the bedroom and closed the door but that's GonNa move on past that twenty three inches. You tell us that your you had like an urge measure your arms at work and you're like I'm not going to do that. Was that was I was I was working on. I was doing a little research on my lunch break and I wanted to kind of see like my starting point. Start doing a little spreadsheet to see like the different ages helping my arms would be my starting point and I'm like men are my arms like too long two and a half one without measuring. I probably would say either two or three feet. Not Three feet seems like long. Yeah three really different too long but somewhere between two and three feet. Oh I think it would have gotten me is like I know I have a. I have a square body. You ever do like the in class where you measure P per square rectangular if you stick your own area and I knew I was a square boy so I don't six feet tall and the arms other side and then a half like my shoulder shoulders. Like whatever that discipline like. It's going to be about two and a half feet. I didn't expect how long my hands were like. I guess. So it's like it's like you're you said twenty three inches. I got like two feet. You don't want that. Run it up a little bit and sounds like a foot of foot for the two sections and then from like the risks of the fingertip was like seven and a half which is like more than I was expecting. Your hand is like a quarter of your arm length. Right court doesn't seem right. Whoa I'm looking at my handwriting. Andrei Yeah and yet my are now measuring my arm my hand. This is all great podcasts. Right now we should probably move. My arm is for hands long so so moving on the. I think one of the things I thought about was was not really a solution on this one. But Dr is not GonNa work at some point. I don't know exactly when 'cause it's a complicated problem but like at a certain point you just got too much. Armand there too. I forgot how you could like fit yourself ed and still hold the wheel as necessary but as certain points not gonNA work. You could sit in the passenger seat and reach over. Not The problem is your leg or any longer than you can't. That's the problem is they're saying you have someone else put that pushed pedals. Edano why they won't be driving instead. That seemed like a much better solution. I think this lucy of somebody else drive the vehicle uber everywhere. But certain point. You'RE NOT GONNA be able to fit in the car either at a certain point so so I guess when your arms are let's see when I single section your arm. How long is a car? I I actually had at the time. So let's say like from the from the dashboard to the back. Seat is what you're GonNa get along with so you're gonNA have to like sit sideways whole time. Well I think are you can if you if you like. Pull your your your elbows into the back of the seat and then put your arms through the middle of the front seats too. Where your hand like onto dashboard? That's your best option. Looks Hilarious my mind. My mind went to open the windows and wrap them over the roof. Your.

"He is president and Kohner of the S. L. AFC franchise which is now become the franchise in the MLS. He is also my buddy former Executive in the NBA. One of the smartest guys I know. Let's bring him on Tom Pan yes. Tom Third Consecutive Year L. Afc we're still doing Saturday right. Yes Okay Okay. So third straight year. You're sold out by the way Nashville. Introduces a team. This year right in this league. Am Atlanta Atlanta in Seattle are massive crowds? Yes it shocked the world on Atlanta South like soccer. So Miami David Beckham's team and Nashville are introducing new teams and the prediction in the League is Nashville is going to be the next. Atlanta Seattle and forty eight thousand people be honest in the league. Were you shocked when the South not only like the sport loved the sport that many people yeah when it became that big seventy thousand people if you look at Atlanta's statistics they're like top ten globally in attendance year. 'cause the building so big right. It's awesome what's happened in Atlanta and in the deep south you know that's kind of a college football college. What's all college football all the time but yeah everybody including? I think if they're honest everybody was surprised at the amount of fervor with that many people in that market yeah. I've said this before it works in Kansas. The markets it works and we would know it would work in Seattle which in International Markets New York Los Angeles. It's you guys sell out every game. I've said before I'm a season ticket holder. It is the best single season ticket in Los Angeles. And I've told you that before it is my I have friends fighting for my tickets and it's fascinating I got Nomar Garciaparra behind me will ferrell up there. It's crazy it's just insane. It feels very German. Very European. It's loud it's crazy it's nuts but it is remarkable to watch hidden Orlando and Kansas City and Atlanta. And I guess my question now is with the MLS. What's the next step? You have clearly academies that work cities that work your stadiums are are smart. They're refined they look unlike baseball. I don't see empty seat. It's like a bar. I WANNA walk into. What is the next step for the League. I biggest international success so we played in the Champions League last night and we're competing against the best teams from Mexico. Yeah in CONCACAF. All the North America Central America Caribbean the best teams combined. We all go at it and your L. AFC last night needed to beat win by three goals. Yeah we had to score three at home because we had to open in Leon and you see that. We ended up scoring three in a row. Well three goals through the night. Unprecedented never happened before it was a Beautiful Night Vale slots this one in to tie it. He's the MVP and then Rossy scores this ridiculous goal where he hits this floater. Look at US watches. Bang Bang offer the Post. The post in it was just spectacular. So we need as a league as soon as we win Champions League annex because no American teams ever want it. It should flip a switch and we should be viewed. Our brand of football is a beautiful brand of football right now and it will capture people's attention particularly with the star power. We have. Yeah we for folks are wondering th th the English premier league. Epl Is certainly the most profitable. It's it's the most financially successful. There's Lalita is the Spanish league is very good at the top average. There's the German league German league solid. Maybe not as great at the top but better at the bottom. So you want to do is create this league on an international level. Can it be a top? Six Seven. League? That's kind of the goal for you. You Win the Championship Cup. You feel. You're there yeah. We're already in the top. Six seven for sure but the trajectory for the League is up because of the power the might of the American marketplace. I mean nobody does sports better than America. We all know that and this the world's game as well it's arrived in the world city of Los Angeles and it's on a rocket ship in America and the rest of the globe. Knows it's coming because there's just so much there's so much wealth and business sense and just organizational principles rule of law. All that in America is different than a lot of these other places on move you or an NBA executive and this this is just. These are topics that are. They're human topics you're the sixers you have embiid. And you have Simmons and they don't get along. You're an executive for them. My arguments always been. It's become a shooters league. Ben Can't shoot but he can get the ball to shooters and he's less injury prone embiid's clearly today the greater talent. Have you ever been in an organization where you had to great players and you decided you knew analytically? It doesn't work. What what are you? Go through what. What's the what in the marketplace. What would you choose and why because you want like West? Broken hardens fun to watch. That means GONNA win and may well the way I sort it and rank. It is sort of all unroll definition. Who's your best player going to be? And what do you want your best player to represent so I believe that embodied is the better more talented player to your point. I just don't know that he's your lead lead guy because you don't see a level of professionalism level of just bringing it every day a level of representing specifically what you want things steph curry the way. He just defines exactly what they're about he feels like Silicon Valley the warriors he defined totally finds them work ethic to in the way he just in the way he plays with joy they all fall in line there right so. I don't know that you can build unless embiid has a shift in his approach if he were to shift. He's Kinda playful at the wrong times you know. He's he's not serious at the wrong times stuff like that just resonates versus being in it to win it and drive in the rest of the team. So that's what I would look for in the first leader of the team. And in a way simmons brings a lot more of that you just hit on the fact he can't shoot and he hasn't really been able to develop that and. I think his stroke is solid enough. You just WANNA see him. Let it rip a little bit more Lebron James in his seventeenth year. A couple of nights ago against Zion he had seventeen fast-break points. It wasn't the point that was seventeen. Fast break it was what the kids call a flex. I WanNa Talk About Zion. Though so it was. It was the rare draft where there were two sort of. CaN'T MISS GUYS. We Know Zion's different and we know John mirant special. Those are those are the easy ones when you get to pick in the NBA draft. Ben Guys in your space argue. It's funny about Zion. Though I'm gonNA throw something everybody keeps telling me. He's got lose weight and my takeaways. Want you stop him first before you lecture on Dieting Tournament Jenny Craig. One If you had Zion. And he's doing what he's doing points per minute points per touch lead the NBA Pretty Awesome Diaz scale back on the Diet lectures. Maybe this is who he is Tom. Well it's more for the longevity of it all. I mean this is where you're thinking about preserving that body and you look at the Modern Day. Nba The amount of mileage. He's about to put on literal mileage. Says he's Bolton up and down that court. I think you're GONNA want him to be leaner and a little thinner and if he can drop a little bit all the great players. We see go through cycles. Kobe at times would put on weight and lose weight. Lebron's Dennis Braun has done this recently. So you see them all go through that Cycle Zion's just so darn big so darn early. I think you'll see him. Find a way to lean up a little bit more. But he's a kid you know it's like talk in any other eighteen. Nineteen it's like nobody. I wasn't worried about my weight at that age. No matter what I was invincible I was once in a Taco Bell. Drive through and Andre Agassi just WANNA tournament. He was front of me and he's like I just WanNa tournament like Taco Bell. Okay you're like twenty two years old. What am I going to say Tom? Perez joining me. He's the president of the analytics or fascinating And I I'm a believer in. I don't want to be tone deaf but I don't Wanna be paralyzed by numbers. I'm dealing with men Alpha males. Okay you can tell me Serena Williams analytically Serena Williams's star and I'm going to tread lightly when I'm dealing with stars so in baseball right now strikeouts no longer are a curse ground balls are a curse so everybody swing for the fence in the NBA. You can't shoot. You can only have one of those on the floor. Click Capellas good player. Can't shoot. He's out in the NFL. We're seeing more third and three's a passing down under running down to soccer. Have an analytic. Is there something out there? Is there a fundamental cultural change or is it the beautiful game and its simplicity? Almost punctures analytics. I'm not aware of one. That's corollary to what you were saying there. 'cause I've never heard one talked about in. This game has been around forever and so there's a certain it's more about the rhythm tempo and your style of play with Bob Bradley. Our head coach has established. Is this get after you press up on you constant pressure in the other zone? Move the defensive line higher and create more scoring chances. He likes to attack through the middle. Not from the outside. Looping it in all those sorts of stylistic things if you have the talent that matches it it's sort of like shooting threes versus playing a ball control offense in basketball but I mean this is different. There's more purity to this. Which is part of the beauty of the sport is it hasn't changed a heck of a lot and I don't know of any analytical measure like you're talking about that sort of flipping the switch Wendy. You were very interesting though when you were leaving the NBA. And you're a thinking person you had a couple of your draft picks remember. You talked to me about Kevin Durant when I was Kinda rolling my eyes. He couldn't bet one eighty year like he's going to be a star and I'm like I know but it's fun so but the the analytics were starting the smart people were listening when you jettison the NBA. Did you ever think the three point shot would get to this because it was on the precipice it was it was it. Was it there yet. Or we're steph not quite it. Wasn't there yet now when I left it. Wasn't there yet. It was it was just starting to be talked about the effective field. Goal percentage and the and the the sort of more the analytical way of understanding a three really counts more than two in that you know that just sounds stupid what I said but you know what I mean it was like it was becoming embedded then. What really changed was the rule changes the inability to hand check the ability to guard anybody and then they off. The smart offensive coaches opened up the middle and created this just and then everybody started practicing it to the point where it is amazing. This year I have noticed a handful of three point shooters. Tom Take a step back. Yeah it was the twenty three footer. And now it's often the twenty five footer. Like I've seen some three point shooters I saw. Lukudu this the night and I'm like Oh lord is he closer to half court or like the great ones are moving back now. It's just because they practice them all the time too and it's really amazing. I mean you're trying to make one of those have. It's it's amazing what they're able to do step in that back and they look like they're going in when those guys lineup all right. You were the best team in the league last year. Didn't end the way you wanted to L. AFC third consecutive year season tickets have sold out. That doesn't mean they don't have tickets though. It is amazing. I'm a season ticket holder. Tom Pen he's the CO owner and the President of the Los Angeles Football Club. Beautiful Logo Unbelievable Stadium. And that's great senior great to see you all right take a break back in the second the be sure to catch live editions of the heard. Weekdays at noon eastern nine am Pacific. It's great to have you in the NFL. Combine there's a lot of pushback I like to a more than Joe Borough. But they're both good prospects. I think Justin Herbert's better.
