"It's morning edition from NPR News. I'm Steve Inskeep. And I'm Rachel Martin. Republicans in Arizona are still in denial about the results of the 2020 election. The GOP has launched yet another vote recount. Some 2.1 million ballots are being reviewed. Ben Giles of member station Cage's in Phoenix joins us to talk about it. Hi, Ben. Good morning, Rachel. Why is this recount happening? Well, to be clear. The results here in Maricopa County here in Arizona were already certified. But this audit is being conducted on behalf of the Republican led state Senate. They tapped a private, Florida based cyber security company to lead this review it miracle, but county officials here have broadly spoken out against it, and increasingly for school forceful ways. They say the review is being conducted by grifters. There's concerns that have been expressed by the U. S. Department of Justice. There's concerns about the voting machines the ballots that are being kept by these private firms. They've still got about 1.5 million balance to get through of 2.1 million votes that were cast in Maricopa County last fall. And I understand the audit is not open to the public. But there is a rotating full of reporters who can observe it. And you were there last night, Right? What you see? Yeah, I was at veteran's Memorial Coliseum. There's about a few dozen tables laid out on the floor, where basketball games used to be played people of tables counting all of those hundreds of thousands of balance. They're looking at votes for the presidency and the U. S. Senate. Both those races were won by Democrats and Miracle County and Arizona at large. Got the wind, which means there are win away from sweeping the Padres, who might be the most fun team in all of Major League baseball. Our next guest is a long time baseball writer. He is noted for predicting the 2017 Houston Astros. And their run to a championship years before as the cover story of Sports Illustrated. He is now the host of a new sports documentary Podcast, which is exploring a lot of different stories. But it also includes that 2017 Astros championship. It's called the Edge. Joining us here on the show is Ben writer Ben Good morning. How you doing? Good day. How are you? I'm good. It's good to have you back here on the show. Are you surprised at all that the Astros were still alive? I mean, after such a dreadful regular season, we thought they'd be an early exit out of the postseason yet. They're they're here They are with a 21. Siri's Lida win away from the LCS. Well, let's put a caveat on India. So many five games right, therefore and one they did have it down. Regular season, But I do think, in some senses a testament to the strength of the organization. You look at what happened to this there without the two best pitchers in the league that they had last year. Garrett Cole obviously left the Yankees Justin Verlander injured there without their best power hitter. You're done Alvarez there without their closer And yet, as we've seen so far in the playoffs, there's still more than a competitive team. So you know one of the things I'm exploring. In my podcast, which is called the Edge and actually just came out yesterday is obviously diving into this cheating scandal on deeply as I can. But also asking some questions about you know how much of the Astra success was actually due to the science dealing? And in fact, why did a team that was counted as it wass? Hell driven to take this a list that extra step Let's fast forward because since you are known for the prediction of the 2017 World Series, I want to spin forward. Let's go 10 or 20 years in the future. How do you think will view The Astros scandal while we say this, will we Having much animosity towards them then or will we have thought that it was overblown at the time? That is a great question? I wish I could see into the future with clarity like that. I do think if you look back at the history of the game A lot of these candles tend to be kind of camp down in records. No, I think they'll always be on ass trick. Not formally, but certainly in people's mind about this era of Astra's baseball, But I think the acute outrage that everybody feels rightly so In my opinion, this is not to absolve anything if they did, but I think it would be kind of woven into the tapestry of Major league baseball history, especially given what we know. I expect, you know the role of technology to be in the game two decades and how it will have significantly changed from where we are in them. Ben writer joins us this morning on the show. He's the host of a new podcast called the Edge, which is dissecting and Digging inside of the Houston Astros and the 2017 world, Siri's of the scandal and everything like that. Do you think that the Astros are benefited in this postseason by not having fans in attendance? I think They might be on some level, right?.

John Foley on Peloton's Growth in the Pandemic

"John. Thanks for joining me today. I'm excited to be here. Thanks John. Appreciate it last time I saw was in the offices this was right before. was declared and we all went home, and so that's been several months but think it's fair to say that we could tell things were getting serious about cove nineteen at that point but couldn't have imagined what was going to happen over the course of the next month and full blown pandemic. In the way, it would hit your business in our business in every business in between. That's right. Twenty, twenty twenty what a what a wild year so far so far. One of the consequences for Peleton was having Jaeger critical new product launch and I really WanNa get into that and talk in depth about what's coming. But let's look backward a little bit not inconsequential at all is telling me you know what's gone on in these nearly last six months what they've been like running a business people lobby spent hunkering down in their homes and gyms have been closed and you offer these livestream workouts right in the home with the device, and early in the pandemic in fact, you guys were reported in the ninety four percent jump in your over your subs. I know there's been hiccups and it'll you've had a hard time immediately filling orders for instance, but it has has the pandemic Ben. Good. For Peleton. Well, it's hard to say good in the same sense with pandemic. At all but to your point, John It's definitely been wind in our sails as far as our bike sales and tread sales, and we've just been frankly happy to be there for our members are existing numbers in our new members who are buying bikes and threads and still getting them delivered, and we were also pretty excited to be able to innovate and bring the the live studio content from not from our studios anymore of for the for a couple of months but from the homes of our instructors. we continue our live format and connection with our with community through the crisis. So it was to your point a lot lots to do was a wild time for us like like everybody, but your business has been has been strong for sure also a little bit. You've got extensive background in ECOMMERCE and you know a number of different technology platforms and then legacy business like Barnes and noble once upon a time where the head of ECOMMERCE. Obviously everybody going into the pandemic lot of uncertainty in a lot of unknowns. And probably a moment of what's this going to do to our fledgling business? But when did it go from that to we have this enormous opportunity. That we're going to have to walk through and we're going to have to do it quickly and as you know as as as as successfully as we can. It happened very quickly John. I mean I I think it was Friday the thirteenth ironically in March when. Found of everyone stopped going to work and working from home and it became obvious and evident that this pandemic was upon us and it was going to be meaningful. Within a week or two of that, we saw a massive surge in our sales and we knew that this was a moment that people are going to Peleton in their home, and we we did see it as an opportunity to be totally opportunistic. We right away started giving away our digital content for ninety day, free trial which wasn't the best business because we still had to pay our music partners but we didn't care. We wanted to do our part for our communities and to help people stay saying in the pandemic so We were at one point I mean we're obviously in parallel scaling our supply chain or manufacturing and trying to make more bikes and tries as fast as possible. But we also have the pure software and digital content platforms across any one of your devices whether it's your phone, your IOS or android phone, or any of your television screens through Apple, TV android, TV fire, TV Roku, all these other platforms that you can engage with our content and do strengthen yoga and all the different stuff. So in that world, it wasn't dependent on our honor scaling supply chain. So we decided to give that ninety days away for free to new members, and we saw a massive explosion in that as well. So You know you alluded to this already and and it's it's a big topic of conversation and focus for investors is this growth curve in these growth big growth that you're planning? Because the addressable market for exercise gear is so large and the shifting dynamics of not being able to go you know at your whim to the local gym and use theirs is fueling even more enthusiasm but also pressure, and then you've got on top of this, you'll start about this virtual community where people can used gear but they can also use the community with people that they're getting to know or or somebody recognizable in the instructor. So you're about to test whether there's an appetite for a wider range. Of Palestine products, I'd like you to talk about what's coming out and how it's different than what the company already offers. You have a twenty two hundred dollar bike right now in a forty, three, hundred dollar treadmill, which are the main staples from what we know if we're going to A. Showroom on the website. So so what's coming in what's different about what you already offer? Yes. So we have two main lines of business as you know John and it's a stationary bike platform and then ate a treadmill platform. And the current bike is who have been called the best cardio machine on the planet the original Peleton bike, and what we're announcing is our Peleton plus and it's a new platform with a bigger screen that swivels now and allows from that bike platform our members to engage in all of our content whether it's the yoga or the strength or the boot camp or all of the different styles of content that we offer. They can now engage in that in a much more convenient easy to consume experience on the Peleton bike plus platform. In parallel, we've been working on a new treadmill platform, our original peleton tread, plus is the forty, five, hundred dollar but product that is kind of the Rolls Royce of the category because it has the Slat belt technology and it's one of the best running surfaces in the world if not the best running surface. And what we're bringing to market this month is a lower price tread that in a really open up the market and make it much more affordable for people to get a Peleton tread and take our boot camp classes and are running classes from home and really do full body workouts. Now whether it's on the less expensive treadmill that has a belt technology or with our Peleton bike plus which now allows you to consume. All of our content and not just the great cardio, but also the strength and the full body content on that. So the summary John is that we now have a portfolio on the bike side and on the trade side, a bike and a bike plus and a tread and tread plus. So depending on how much you're looking to spend and what you're looking to do we have now four options for you to engage pelivan platforms.

"Part to morning Joe. Hi Ben Good. Been Liebers made his way in power. Yes pretty good trying to do our best to do. A silly radio show in this crazy world. Yeah yes I got Some guy reached out to me on on twitter and said Hey. He's like tell your boys that they did a fantastic job opening show given the the gravity and the weight of everything they they managed to pull off and still keep us entertained about so. I I did not hear it I was sleepytime right But congratulations guys. You guys successfully navigated a crazy situation. I appreciate that and thank you for saying that because it is walking a tightrope. Well that doesn't makes us sound too dramatic but you get my point gotten. Yeah you get a bounce back but you can't ignore the news now especially when it hits right at home But also your your job is to sort of entertained and keep people happy. That's it. I don't I don't blame anybody if they're waking up this morning saying I really want the news. I don't blame them for not checking the power to morning show. I correct you know. Yeah I get that. I hope you do once you hear the news because that's the problem and then a lot of credit. The cove is always because he said to me right before the show started. He said no offense because that's what they have to do but we can't keep doing the same half hour over and over and over again like new shows do that. We can't do that story. And a half hours to entertain if the situation changes between now and nine show of course dive into it if there's breaking news or Sherp but again I'm not. I'm not trying to downplay what happened last night. Because it was a deadly right there was at least one person killed shot and killed fires. It was awful but if you see all of the news coverage now either on twitter or even right now national news on CBS. This morning There are fires that are still being fought in their store aging but the violence and the rioting and the looting seems to have stopped temporarily. Who knows if it'll pick back up right now. It seems to have calmed down after some chaos last night. So we'll see anything else changes. We'll let you know we're GONNA get to the second to that. Might pop up in the news. We'll see check this out. Somebody named Brandon who follows Zach on the machine said he found act from the fires as far south as his neighborhood in in South Minneapolis on fifty second street which is about three miles. South of we took place the winds carrying it everywhere. And you know again. I'm to the point. We made earlier this morning. By the time I got here in again aroma motorcycling which is a little different. But I had no idea what was going on and I still find that fascinating that all literally all hell can be breaking loose walking distance from from where I am and I have no idea what's going on. I'll I'll share similar deal so we took the family out last night and when for just like a a nature walk in got home and there was no. There wasn't a lot of cell service out there in my mother-in-law texts my wife and I said you know asked us is something about his at target. Close to you guys or something. Unlike about what what? What are you talking about? So in what three hours this whole thing went down and I had no idea and I know it's a short short amount of time but It did feel e I did feel a little lost. Like Gosh I. I feel a little irresponsible that this is happening in our own town even know what's going on not even paying attention right. I mean the you guys have A. Cbs national there. I've NBC national in. Here everybody's got local reporters on the ground here in the twin cities right now so Yeah but again. The bottom line is this Multiple Structure Fires last night. In fact you know well let me go. Start the news. 'cause that's basically what the newest is going to be all about. Kfi News with Chris Machi presented by by Your Credit Union. Thank you Firefly Credit Union for bringing us the news this morning by name. Is Chris Hockey? A person was shot and killed during more violent protests in Minneapolis last night. Police say the shooting happening happened outside the Cadillac Pawn and jewelry on East Lake Street late Wednesday night. One person is in custody but police say witnesses aren't cooperating. Police haven't said if the shooting victim was looting or what happened but the at the time of that shooting there were fires everywhere surrounding including a Wendy's a six story building that was being built new construction that completely burned to the ground and autozone. I believe in Arby's and a few multiple businesses caught fire last night so far the only death we're hearing about was this person who was shot and killed more information on that as we hear about it but again if you're just waking up or driving towards the twin cities and saying why is there so much smoke from erotic city. That's because last night it caught fire. Saint Paul will soon require people to wear face masks the much the same way. The Minneapolis has mayor. Melvin Carter signed an executive order. Wednesday requiring mask be worn inside businesses and city control facilities? Starting this coming Monday. Anyone who doesn't wear masks will be asked to leave or face trespassing penalties. So pretty much. What's going on in Minneapolis as well? I see people here in Saint Louis Park doing that as well. I were mascot when I'm not in the studio just because I want to make people uncomfortable around me but but we're technically in. Saint Louis Park right as we sit here that I mean it's just this city. The actual safety of Minneapolis in the city of Saint. Paul anything on the bordering. It's not law. I believe that is correct. Yes yeah we'll go with that okay. Cool governor. Jim Walls isn't making any changes to as restrictions on dining Minnesota restaurants on Wednesday. He reminded minnesotans that only outdoor dining. We'll be allowed in the state..

"You're listening to Bloomberg BusinessWeek. I'm Carol Massar along with Palestinian. This is Bloomberg. So as you mentioned earlier, one of the things we like to focus on is what companies are doing in terms of business. Investments capital expenditures. It's a great indicator of what's going on in terms of the corporate environment. David Hunt is in the house. He's president and chief executive officer PJ and they've got roughly one point two trillion dollars in assets under management based in Newark. In our Bloomberg interactive brokers studio here in New York City, David nice to have you here with Paul and myself could connector so tell me a little bit about what you guys are seeing in terms of business investment because so the capital expenditures was one of the things one of the metrics, we certainly focused on in this latest round of earnings. Yeah, we really liked to try to understand what's happening with cap ex partly because it often is a precursor to an improvement in productivity, and we all know in the United States and in the most of the developed world if we're unable to get productivity backup somewhere near stork levels were never. Oh, really going to get out of this slow growth phenomena? So we crack productivity very closely, and therefore we're very interesting to see whether we're getting enough investment to really believe that that will come back. So the question is are we so two thousand eighteen was an important year and the numbers and the numbers would say that cap ex did improve came out at about six hundred thirty billion which is a fourteen percent increase for the S and P over the year. And so if you're an optimist, you would look at that and say that actually finally looks like it's coming back to levels that you would expect. But to be honest, they're not levels that are unusual for this point in the cycle. So they're levels that are still below what we would have seen it. Oh, five and six and that with this very large tax break. So the pessimists will say, yes, it's awful lot better. But we didn't have a breakout. What year the way we had hoped, and we probably shouldn't expect to see that coming out too quickly. In in the productivity figures. Now, there's actually a problem with the SNP numbers. And that is that they really only track hardcore cataracts, they don't track RND and investments and intellectual property which actually in some ways are more important for driving productivity. Ben good, old fashioned plants and machinery. Can be longer term. I'm thinking, right. So how how do you track? The the BA. Fortunately, does a survey which is much more broadly than than just the S and P five hundred thanks to the government shutdown. We don't actually have the final numbers for the year. But through the third quarter that actually showed another very healthy improvement of investments in intellectual property. And so I would say again, if you're on the optimism side of things you would look at that and say that actually bodes very well for a pickup and productivity the problem with it is that it looks like it's all the same sector. So that's who's who's investing who's doing a good job who's underinvest. And that is the real key Paul because the averages don't look very good for productivity. But that hides all kinds of sense you have under that much of the professional services business finance. You have the technology sectors communications per activities actually been quite robust there on the other side of things you have retail. You have the entire healthcare. Sector you have the government where productivity really hasn't budged at all. And so, unfortunately, if you then track back to where is that intellectual property investment. It's in those same industries that are already doing better. And what we don't yet see is a pickup and investment in those industries where we really need to see them get their game together. I feel like we do said retail and government. I'm like it hasn't been going on for a while are now. Oh, yes. We complain about it being, you know, just too big and not very productive. And I feel like we've been talking about that for years retail to to some extent as well. And and and services more broadly as we'll have also also struggled. So I think the clearly it's better. But to the extent that we have a a real divergence between those sectors that are driving productivity, and those that are not I think we'll continue to see those divers David we've got about forty five seconds left here. So I'm thinking I'm sitting in my car sitting at home, or whatever I'm going to download this podcast. What does it mean for me as investor? How do I take that information and act on it? So for us what this says is that global growth is likely to remain muted and below what its long-term historical averages are going to be because we didn't see the big pickup which would allow us to be optimistic that productivity will reach also its long term average. So if you said, what does this mean for me, we'd say longer term, lower returns across asset classes? Yeah. That that's interesting. But I think it's really important as as you mentioned David to try to get a handle on some of those high growth areas, and how those investments are being made in D C. The tech companies are hiring more. They're spending more D, And they seem to be putting the money where the mouth is. And if you're a cloud company people have been buying as a recipient of all that cap ex you've been kind of doing pretty well in this environment. They have now on the flip side. They're also not create nearly as many jobs, so less capital, less jobs. But at the same time a lot of revenue David Hunt of PGM joining us in our studio back to world and national news headlines and back to Bob moon. We.

No one will ever say didn't give it everything. He had. The best and we're going to miss him. But anyway, so you welcome back. Vic, did you see any any oxidation? Just caught the end when I was getting around ten o'clock last night and was like what? Seven one of the craziest seriously. One of the craziest games I've ever seen and. You know at the end of the first period nine goals were scored at the end of the first period, that's insane. And and they both and this is the first time, I think I've ever seen this and I've been a hockey fan my entire life. And I think this is the first time that I have ever seen. The starting goalies both get pulled in the first in the first period. Really? I think that's the first time. I've it's the first time I've ever seen it. I'm sure it's happened times. The first time I've ever seen it and the hawksbill Delia after eight minutes he gave up three goals in eight minutes. In the Ottawa pulled their starter like about seven minutes later. It was it completely nuts. And and so it ended up being back and forth. And there was absolutely no defense. I mean, it was you know. Both of the there are the two worst defensive teams in the NHL. They both both the hawks in the in the senators have the worst defenses in the NHL. And boy did that show. That was I mean there was nothing going on defensively at all offensively. Lots of fun. The cat gets himself a hat trick. Wait, by the way way. Do you hear? John's call on that widens called have you been have you heard white call on it? His I'll make sure when we played back the express make sure you pay attention when when debrincat hits that his goal because it's pretty special the way the way Wiedeman called it. Need some lozenges today? I'm telling you man, they were putting him through the paces. How many he you know, he had to say go go eight times. And then he scores. That's how when when he posted. Shoots he scores. But when the. But I will say this. You know, who is being put through the paces last night. Troy like will, you know? At one point tried. You said I have no idea what's going on. At one point. He just kind of just went, you know. Shoulders, shrugged. And I love the talk with him. And boy, you know, the the the during intermissions when he talks to. Troy was like, I don't I don't even know what to say about this guy. If anybody wants to start playing defense at any time now, that'd be nice. But noble, here's what I'm saying. Who went through the paces last night big time earned his paycheck, gene Honda. Oh, yes. Gene honda. Head had to work last night. Man, what go on top of another. He didn't even get a chance to to give the credits on the goal who got the assistant at what time and all that stuff. By the way, he's the house an announcer at the NFC, and he's a he's the best. And after every goal. He tells you who scored the goal how it was scored. What time it was scored who got the assist and all that stuff. And then he repeats it. See? Fifteen times last night. And then on top like on top of each other. They were you know, because it usually takes about a minute minute and a half for gene to announce the goal is because they have to figure out who got the assists, and they want to make it official. So he was working last night, man. Gene honda. I'll tell you Vic who had to gargle with gene Honda, gene. Gene Honda had to gargle after that game lesson. Somebody's gurgling. A lot of fans to work today. Sound a little Greg? Well, I'll tell you the place when the place was going nuts. I mean, it was a home game sold out, obviously. And they put on a show, man. And I mean, it was just it was crazy. It will absolutely crazy. And it'll be fun to listen to that express. And again when we play it back because it was such an insane game. We play at the four five red at the end of the show because it was such an insane game. Please listen closely to the calls that that John and Troy because they were in they were in a fantastic voice last night. So it was just such a crazy game. So all right three one two nine eight hundred seven two hundred is the phone number here on WGN. And I've got an update on the Oscar ceremony. And it just keeps getting weirder. Okay. I mean, they've got no host. They thought at one point they proposed that they were gonna take four categories. And instead of televising the presentation they were going to do it during the commercials to save time that backfired and they're stupid faces because there was an uproar over how stupid an idea that was. And now, I have some some updates on the presenters, and I have some updates on who's going to perform. And it's weird. That's all I'm saying. It's it's it's weird. So the Oscars are this Sunday. And make sure you watch those it's going to be it's going to be a weird show. So all right. We're gonna take a break. I'll tell you give you the Oscar update and more. And then after the one thirty news we're going to jump into going to start off with Chicagoans forming Skibo leagues, then we talk about weird sports and how about leagues that you've been on three one two.

"But I it's no surprise they're doing what they're doing. They got a pretty good squad there, but the island is man, I think everybody wrote them off Frankie Borelli was practically hanging off the fucking Verizon bridge when Taveras virus left for Toronto. But I think we've seen this before a team they lose a guy in it. Kinda galvanizes a team they rally against it. And again like you said it is really, but this division looks upside down right now. I mean, it's it's not doing what what we expected it to do the devils. I get the kind of day started off a little hotter. They've been struggling a bit a bit as of late. But yeah, you know, jersey the arena, baggage jersey, Pittsburgh's and second last place. Carolina started hot they've cooled off. I think it's also to know to how close these teams, I mean, all these T guy team in fucking six places only four points behind the first place team. So, you know, a quick streak of winning losing can easily flip flip the division quick. But it's early. It's I think, you know, things might level off at some point. But the capitals to they they they made have a little bit of a championship. Hang will be think you'd think about that biz. Yeah. I'm interested to hear what starts on the top three right now. Yeah. Alright. Not to not to call you out. Even though I love doing it Columbus, they lost Mackerras round. But they were up to go and went to double overtime game three against Washington. So I know you're you're probably right. That not getting to the second round is considered a failure. But they they played Washington as hard as anyone else in the play out that so you need coming into this year. They'd be a team that would be dangerous, especially Pereira, any Sonex the I don't know it's going to re-sign their sucks if your jackets fan right now. But then you look at the islanders team. I was so I mean, I was wrong about all of them. Shocker. But I can't the unders this. This goes to show berry. Trump is a good coach. He I mean, he obviously every records. Ben good teams. Whether it does spilled the capitals are right now. The way that the islanders playing vomit Greis has been phenomenal. But the phone is up front. I mean, they they lost earlier players in the read and everyone. Everyone said they'd be shit. Maybe that use that as a little bit of a rallying cry. Sometimes that little overrated pro sports, but you never know. And they've looked awesome. And now they're going to start playing a few games back into Nassau Cosby in that place is going to be rocking than atmosphere is always been just sit in Brooklyn. So and then the rain shadow the David Quinn man rocket hottest coach in the league. Thank you very much, Bobby. He went to be went to be your former coach view the Rangers on top start. Did not look good. Some some weird healthy scratches going on there some veteran players and they've turn things around Lundquist father time each just still kicking with the best of them. And so that teams really flying. And also, our boy, Kevin Hayes has looked great lately shoulder to our boy will actually I feel like one of our most favorite guest by the people. I think they love listening special k y. Good for all these. It's very surprising to Washington. I think Washington getting on Wilson back like huge addition for them. He plays on that. I thought he the mother fucker out there. He's faster than people think. So and he's not going to change way play. And he's gotta stop with the heads. But don't pick it up. But it's definitely great to see the party. I think it's a good thing for the league of wondering if you agree with me or not on that day's. Yeah. Okay. So I'm going to start at the top. I'm going to come back to Columbus. But you you touched on the islanders. I might get smothered for this comment. But I feel like they're this year's Las Vegas Golden Knights. And I'm gonna tell you why they got they got trots much like the law a coach, very well respected. Very well liked by his team. He gets in their new system. They've tightened things up a lot defensively compared to last year because we knew they had some offense of weapons because they were getting done offensively..

"And I wanted to know is there any chance that LSU turns the table and slows down to run to the husband on Nuff that say giove-a, it's a joke rotter, but I just wanted. You think how jealous she slow down to enough to have others. Be considered for the house would well listen doesn't take much Alabama loses game in two has a bad game. He will certainly slip because people will say this. They will say that until Saturday night. He hasn't faced a good team. And in reality he has not faced more than one good team. And that's Texas AM, which is already been saddled with three and could have four losses by the time this game begin. So he would he would he would drop like a rock if he has a bad game in Alabama loses. So there you have it. I think the only person that can beat to Saturday night is himself. If he somehow loses composure should he get hurt? Should he get rattled? There's no evidence that this will happen. But this is the toughest environment. He has faced this year. Now a little bit difficult to compare this to the national championship game. He came in at halftime. It was a desperate move. He riyadh. Acted. Well, we all know how it ended. But since then I mean, he is he's been far and away the best player in the country. Right. Right. Well, do you also think that at at as Ron is the most underrated coach and the SEC at this point. I think today he is. Yes. Because no one gave them a chance before the season outside of a few zealots. I mean, you date you mentioned that you thought that the biggest challengers to Alabama going forward were in SEC were Georgia ninety Florida Texas am did not miss Minton LSU. And yet every year Alabama has about a week before they all she game. And teams always end up being one of their biggest games of the year. Do you consider LSU also be talent? Sure LSU will be in the top four tonight when the college football rankings come out, they they are without a doubt challenger. And here's why LSU wins his game. They'll be number one of the country next week with the loss. Mo- we'll make a bit of difference. They'll think about this. Let's say Georgia Wednesday game Saturday. Against kentucky. LSU Georgia will probably be number six tonight. LSU will have a win over the number one team in the number one six and the number sixteen right, right? No, one comes close. Yeah. Well, thank you for taking my call, a love your show and. Anyway, thank you very down to get down to Baton Rouge to the game. It's always one of the great places in college football. Thanks, Melanie, calling from Charlotte, North Carolina Ben is up next in Dallas. Hey, Ben good afternoon. Eight us Ben Austin, Dallas. Hey, I got a question for you. And regard to the that's aren't choirs reading about the legitimate playoff contenders. From each power five conference, and Heather Detroit it anyways at the end of his talking about tour and against Georgia forty two percent chance three supply'll. But then at the end it says at three point nine percent chance to win the conference. And so my question is am I missing something? Or is there a way that Georgia can actually make the playoffs and not when the call from because the way I see it. We gotta be bam at a win Georgia. Georgia has no chance of of making the playoffs without winning the conference. Right. So I guess my my inaugurum here is how in the world of they come up with these tick pushing I really I don't wanna wanna bite the hand that feeds me, but I have no earthly idea where these predictors come from most of the time. I mean. Listen, they're smarter than I am. But commonsense prevails, right? I thought it was funny. I mean three point nine percent chance to win the drinking. See that's a pretty fair number considering Tim Bama, pretty lopsided. But anyways, I'm dire dogs fan. So go, George and appreciate the call..
