Both sides see high stakes in gay rights Supreme Court case

"A controversial case on whether a Colorado website designer must do work for same sex couples is going before the U.S. Supreme Court Monday. Groups on both sides of the issue are already expressing their views. If 63 year old Laurie Smith is allowed not to serve gay couples. Liberal groups warn black people Muslims, Jews, and migrants could also be subject to discrimination. But conservative groups argue if the high court forces Smith to design wedding websites for same sex couples against her religious beliefs, other artists like photographers, writers, and musicians, could be forced to do work that violates their faith. This Colorado case going before the conservative majority high court is the second in 5 years, Colorado baker Jack Phillips won a limited decision when he refused to bake a wedding cake for a same sex couple. FBI director raises national security concerns about TikTok

"FBI director Chris wray has security concerns about TikTok. The video sharing app is extremely popular in the U.S. and is owned by a Chinese company ByteDance. All of these things are in the hands of a government that doesn't share our values and that has a mission. There's very much at odds with what's in the best interest of the United States. Speaking at the Ford school of public policy in Michigan, racist content could be manipulated. The gives them the potential to leverage the app in ways that I think should concern us. Ray also says data on the app could be used for traditional espionage operations, a TikTok executive told the Senate hearing in September. The company protects all data from American users and Chinese government officials have no access to it. Ed Donahue, Washington

To boost Georgia's Warnock, Biden is in ... Massachusetts

"Days before the Georgia runoff election polls close, President Biden is aiming to help incumbent senator Raphael Warnock be challenger Herschel Walker from hundreds of miles away. To help a candidate in the south, the president went north, which seemed to even mix him up earlier in the day. I'm going to Georgia today to help senator Warren not to George. I'm going to help center Washington doing a major fundraiser in Boston. He first stopped at a union phone bank. This is a guy who needs our help. Telling the IBW Republicans are blasting Warnock for voting with him, 98% of the time. And it's true. I wouldn't tell that in the phone. The president's midterm strategy was to back Democrats from afar. Spokeswoman karine Jean Pierre says it helped beat expectations. And that worked. She says the president wanted to do whatever Warnock needed in his campaign asked for the Boston trip. Sagar Meghani, Washington.

"Democrats are moving to make South Carolina, not Iowa, the first floating state. I Norman hall, Democrats have voted to remove Iowa as the leadoff state on the presidential nominating calendar and replace it with South Carolina starting in 2024. Iowa had the slot for more than four decades. The changes favored by top party leaders and president Joe Biden to better reflect the party's deeply diverse electorate. Herschel Walker: Reacting to Comments Made by Barack Obama

"Is really offensive that is mocking you and attacking you. Well, I don't know whether there's offensive, but it just shows you the type of person he is. You know, one of the things about it is that uncle Joe, that's what he called Joe Biden. Uncle Joe, that's what he called him, so he showed the type of man he was. Joe Biden was somebody that he picked me as vice president but now I seem to be talking about it that shows you the type of man that he is and so that's why I tell the Jordan people he's lost not once but twice in Georgia and now he's out there promoting Rafael that he had done anything for Georgia. He's shown that he votes for every bad policy we're going through right now and he's still promoting someone that's going to hurt Georgia that's going to hurt the United States of America. So what type of clout do we give him? None. Right now I want the people of Jordan didn't know. I'm here to fight for Georgia, not to fight for anyone else, but if I for Georgia and the fact that the people are the United States, we got to get back into this constitution, get back into this America, is number one, we shouldn't have America as we're bad people. We're good people. Herschel Walker on the patriot mobile newsmaker line, Herschel, I do want to ask you about president Trump and maybe you can clear this up. What's the deal? Is he going to campaign for you? Is he coming to Georgia? And if not, why not? Well, he has been campaigning for me and we've been doing telephone rallies together. We've been doing things together. We're going to do even more. And I've welcomed everybody to come down and want to help me to win this great seat for the great people of Georgia because we got to win this state. It is so so important because we don't win this seat. They got to change this country. I think we're going to need to realize what's going on right now. And if you don't like your gas prices, you don't like it how grocery prices you don't like to climb. They got on the street. You don't like this open border. You got to get out and vote. "The left is getting pretty worried about this race. Herschel, there's a news story up in The New York Times the headline how Herschel Walker could win the Georgia Senate race. So you can't buy into the mainstream media headlines. You've been out there pounding the pavement. And if the good people of Georgia get out and vote on election day, you're going to have a great day on Tuesday. I will. And I want to give people to get out and vote. I think Raphael won as shown who he's for. He's for Joe Biden. He was California and New York. That's the way he's voted. And I think he's shown that he's been a wolf and seat clothing. He tried to hide everything he's done, but you can't hide your record. You voted for this inflation. You voted for crime on the street. You vote for this open border. You voted to put men and women sports. He also voted against religious free liberties. And that's when you get to the point that he's a man out of cough and to vote for a religious liberties. Gov. Kristi Noem: TikTok Ban for South Dakota Government

"Made headlines just the other day by signing an executive order banning TikTok on for state government agencies employees and contractors specifically using state devices. Why did you do that? Well, we're learning more and more every single day about the national security threat that TikTok is to our country and to our individual citizens. It's my job as governor to protect the people's South Dakota. We know that China is using TikTok and manipulating algorithms to gather information on the people in this country. They're not only gathering what kind of websites or videos that they watch and learning from us that way they're also potentially getting our keystrokes to what buttons we push on our phones, but getting access to passwords could potentially violate our financial accounts and personal information, even health and information. It's a real threat to our country and we know China's our enemy. You know, they hate us. This is their agenda that they've had for hundreds of years is to destroy the United States of America and they're using this app to gather more information about American citizens and use it against us. So in South Dakota, we have banned the app on our servers on our networks, any state employee or contractor or someone who works with state government who accesses it or downloads the app. We'll face criminal penalties and that's something that we sent a clear message that we have a lot of personal information and state government that we're not going to allow China to hack into by using this app and I'm hopeful that other leaders in other states and in Congress will do the same.

Gov. Kristi Noem: The Value of Being Strategic in Politics

"Was something else you governed smartly and I know you took a couple of hits from conservatives of some issues, but the reality was you wanted to play smart politics. You wanted to make sure the legislation was perfect. And as a result of that, there is a long-term benefit, which is those laws are standing in place and Republicans have strong majorities in the great state of South Dakota now. Oh, absolutely. So for what we should be doing as governors is passing good strong bills that get stand up in court too, that can if they're because they're going to get challenged now. There's so many activist groups and so much money in the liberal side. They're going to challenge each piece of legislation in court. We got to make sure it's worded correctly that it's strong that it stands the test of a court challenge and that we don't set up for a failure of president that hurts us in the long run. So yes, being strategic and smart is incredibly important in this day and age.

Conservatives Get Drawn Into Celebrities After One Conservative Idea

"Look, here's the overarching issue. And it's about all of us conservatives. We get drawn in. We get sucked into the celebrity. So anytime anybody says something remotely conservative, all of a sudden they become the national spokesperson for the conservative movement. It doesn't matter if they're not conservative. It doesn't matter if they are flaming leftist. Clearly it doesn't matter if they love Hitler. But as long as they're a celebrity, we just love we just knew that Kanye was a conservative. They're saying the same thing about Tulsi Gabbard, right? Let's use a very nice lady and she's actually saying some things that make a lot of sense and she's espousing some viewpoints that are conservative, but she's not a conservative. And you have people out there saying, oh, that beautiful Tulsi Gabbard. She would make a wonderful vice president. Maybe she should be the next Speaker of the House. Wait, what? What? Liz Cheney is more conservative than Tulsi Gabbard. Why not make Liz? So again, it's all about the celebrity. Now, it would be a lot simpler if we all just sort of waited to see how all of this would play out. But people don't want to do that. They just want to immediately embrace these folks. And that's a big problem. You know, Donald Trump tried to help Kanye. And what did Kanye do? He mocked president Trump. He stabbed the president in the back. And what did despicable person he is? How can you say that about yay? He's a Christian. Yeah, I don't know too many Christians out there that are saying how much they love Hitler. I don't know too many Christians who do that. I don't mean to say, I don't sit when I say I don't know how many. I'm saying none.

Local Washington County Bans Religious-Themed Work Decor for Christmas

"But there is a crazy story out of Seattle Washington king's county there where the county government sent out an edict. They sent out an announcement to all workers regarding Christmas decorations. Now, here at stern's media group, the company I own. We believe in celebrating the reason for the season, as a matter of fact, we have a Christmas tree in our lobby. We have not one, but two nativity scenes. We have all sorts of great decorations, and why is that? Well, because Christmas is about celebrating commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. And we have point set us in just about every nook and cranny of this building. Because, again, we want to celebrate. We invite our Stanford to celebrate to decorate. And we don't tell them what they can or how they can decorate, but that's not the case in King County. Washington. Where county workers have been told that they are not allowed to decorate using religious themed Christmas decorations. So in other words, if you want to decorate your office cubicle, you can not have a cubicle crush. You're not allowed to have that in your office space. As a matter of fact, you're also not allowed to have any sort of cross, you're not allowed to have any sort of nativity scene. If you're Jewish, you're not allowed to have a menorah. All of those on the naughty list, including the star of David. Those are big no nos. Now, if you want to decorate your office cubicle with Black Lives Matter buttons, that's okay. You can actually do that. If you got a gay pride flag or one of those transgender flags, you're able to do that too.

It helps our nation avoid what without a doubt would have been an economic catastrophe at a very bad time. And the calendar. The president acknowledges it was a difficult move after some rail unions rejected the deal since it does not boost paid sick leave. Given the potential economic costs of a strike. US hiring stayed strong in November as employers add 263,000 jobs

"The jobs market stayed strong last month, despite high inflation and an economy that's growing slowly. Employers added 263,000 jobs last month, down slightly from October, but all told it represents a substantial jump, given the Federal Reserve's aggressive interest rate hikes as it tries to stem decades high inflation. As employers keep hiring, paychecks keep going up, and the combination of more jobs and higher wages could complicate the fed's inflation fight. Job openings exceed available workers by about 4 million that is about 1.7 job openings for every person looking for work. Chair Jerome Powell told the brookings institution this week a robust jobs market is a key inflation driver. He'd like to see slower job growth and more modest wage gains. Sagar Meghani, Washington

Democrats Are Pushing Union Workers to 'Take the Deal'

"On another note, economic, the house is really pushing for this deal to get done with the railroads that is, because obviously if you don't have railroads, you're going to have more problems in the economy. What's amazing to me is how so many Democrats have really led the charge on this one. We've seen that from Nancy Pelosi, we've seen that from Joe Biden. Don't forget, this was a deal that Joe Biden negotiated. He's a little surprised. Hey, why aren't these workers taking it? There's a threat of irony in this because Joe Biden, who's supposed to be mister union, Nancy Pelosi, but they seem to be failing these constituents over and over and over again. I think back even to when Hillary Clinton was campaigning and talking to coal miners and talking about she's going to put them out of business. Effectively, they're going to lose their jobs in Pennsylvania because Hillary Clinton wants to make sure that we transition away from coal. These are not exactly selling points for that constituency. And I think when that same constituency, including so many of these union workers, whether it be railroad workers, whether it be truckers, whether it be coal miners, any union job now has to look think at the political class with some concern and with some fear because those folks that were supposed to be looking out for them aren't always doing so. And I get it. Look, I think there are a lot of overall issues with unions in general and as a free market capitalist. I would like to see more power in the hands of the workers themselves and in the hands of the individuals as opposed to the unions, which, you know, take the money and then go fund, Democrat, political campaigns. There's got to be a better way and perhaps this is shining some light on the real motivations of what goes on in Washington, D.C., and it's not always on behalf of those union workers.

"Apple fennia, the tenancy to perceive a connection or meaningful pattern between unrelated or random things such as objects or ideas. Auto kinesis. A phenomenon of visual perception in which a stationary small point of light and an otherwise darker featureless environment appears to move. It presumably occurs because motion perception is always relative to some reference point, a paranormal example would be while investigating a fixate on a point of light and it seems to begin to move when it really isn't. And it is misinterpreted as paranormal activity. Availability cascade. A self reinforcing cycle that explains the development of certain kinds of collective beliefs. A novel idea or insight usually one that seems to explain a complex process in a simple or straightforward manner, gains rapid currency and the popular discourse by its very simplicity and by its apparent insightfulness. Its rising popularity triggers a chain reaction within the social network individuals adopt a new insight because other people within the network have adopted it and on its face, it seems plausible. Basically, someone may have suggested something to you where you felt something may have been paranormal and a kind of just came to traction over time, kind of like the old telephone game. Barnum effect. The tendency to accept a certain information is true, such as character assessments or horoscopes, even when the information is so vague as to be worthless. Colonel stasis. Basically, when time seems to stand still. Crypto mencia. This is an occurrence that describes when a forgotten memory returns without it being recognized as such by the subject who believes it is something known original. It is a memory bias whereby a person may falsely recall generating a thought an idea, a tune, a name or a joke, not deliberately engaging in plagiarism, but rather experiencing a memory as if it was a new inspiration. An example would be someone had a dream that they, when they were 16, that was of a paranormal experience, and somehow it pops into their mind 20 years later and the person doesn't remember having the dream or where the memory comes from. So they convinced that they went through a recent paranormal experience. It hallucinations. These are hallucinations that occur as you're falling asleep. They may also attempt to convince others that benign occurrences have to be paranormal activity. Basically, that means if someone's a client, they, for some reason, believe at the house's paranormal or has parental activity, I should say. Not realizing that it was around decades before you're born however you never paid any attention because your social groups never discussed it. It could have been right in front of you and you wouldn't have noticed you sumed. It was something that geeks paid attention to any. Didn't want to be a geek. Something in the movie previews catches your eye and after that you enjoyed watching in other movies when you're younger in you watch the preview intently. You had no idea that they were on star trek television series in now the follow up movie. You make a trip to the in on your way. You begin to notice a star trek logo on a decal affixed to the back of a car upon walking around the mall. You notice a few people wearing shirts with star trek related pictures on them. Being close to the end of the year you head over to the calendar kiosk noticed that they have a few that are star trek related. You walk by another kiosk and start something through the posters in noticing star trek poster..

"Subjects for investigators to research in one of my recent posts. I discussed the do's and do not for new investigators during that post. I mentioned about getting educated in as many subjects possible. This post will briefly define some of the subjects that you may or may not hear about on television shows and those that you most likely will not hear about on television shows. It is beneficial for series investigators to be familiar with these topics. The list is alphabetized. However i am sure that there are many more subjects that i didn't mention here. The is just a good start. The don't tape theory derivatives date back to eighteen thirty seven when a polymath someone who's knowledge spans a great number subjects in charles babbit jr who spent his gleaming in london england speculated that spoken word left permanent impressions in the air even falling silent over a long period of time. He believed that this had to do with the transfer of motion between various particles. The pulse back on the science that you can't destroy energy and it can only be converted into transferred in the nineteenth century the society for psychical research which is a nonprofit organization in london england. There was the belief referred to as sicom etry a psychic related ability that would allow someone with the ability to learn the history associated to the object simply by having physical contact with it in one thousand nine hundred forty henry heavily price. Then president of the society of psychical research would speak of a phenomenon referred to as psychic ether. Which would act as the medium between physical and spiritual reality. He believed that psychic ether could empower objects to carry traces of past experiences and emotions in nineteen sixty one. A book was published. Name ghost stingl. This is believed by some to cause phenomenon that x. anonymously like a tape recorder that replaced the same song time and time again until it tapers out since the molecules in stone can remain in place for many millennia and bedrock and remain in place for eons. Some believe that this don't take theory is feasible. Many paranormal investigators report that residual haunting seemed to be more prevalent when these stones are in the vicinity rob properties of the stone. Could theoretically make this possible. It is well known that rocks can absorb in re radiate heat. Soames have been used to eight in home. Evaporation and condensation will. I can to some extent understand and be open minded about the stone tape theory as it has some science backing it up. I don't see how water being added is constantly movement molecular really could have the same effect as stone tape. "Common paranormal entities. They were five types of paranormal entities. That are most commonly reported from clients before and found by investigators during a paranormal investigation. This post will not include entities that come from the christian faith such as demons and angels to those being religious constructs and not originating from paranormal. Science you may find that there were variations on how one paranormal investigator recognizes in entity versus. How another investigator recognizes entity. Some of this is a result of in person training religious release personal opinions experiences television shows and internet research. This is not a set black and white definition that all investigators us there are generalizations. That most of us share however the following members of mount washington valley spirit classify unity's ghost an apparition of a dead person which is believed to appear to living typically as nebulous image. A ghost isn't aware of your presence and is not cognizant of the current arrangement of the location that they are in. They may act as if they were in the same place but during a different time when the location was arranged differently analogously they are video set on repeat as if in a time loop repeating the same actions over and over again. There isn't any variation to what they do. You could say that they are gathering of energy and a human form. That doesn't have awareness. These entities are recognized as a non intelligent haunting. Also known as residual poltergeist. This is a german word. That means noisy spirit or loud ghost. A poltergeist is a spirit responsible for significant physical disturbances such as noises and objects being thrown. They may be able to physically touch you including simply touching rubbing pushing scratching biting in hitting while often seen as negative entity. They may just be frustrated. Not being recognized by you and are doing what they feel is necessary to get your attention. Which is what you would do in the same situation. It puts a case is basically a spirit with the ability to physically interact with the world around them but does so in a matter. As if it were in heightened emotional state while the name has a negative connotation to it the entity is usually not malevolent. Evelyn they can be caused by someone or a group of someone's at a location with very strong emotions typically younger person in their teenage years or early twenties. A poltergeist can't interact with a person and is in intelligent version of a thought corm. These entities are recognized as intelligent haunting spirit the non-physical essence of a person. Which is the seat of emotions in character. A spirit is intelligent form of a ghost. They are aware of themselves in the world around them. At times they can physically interact with their surroundings. They may be able to interact with the audibly whether by boys are acquiesce request to physically interact with something. These entities recognize as in intelligent haunting dot form a simple ethel object emanating people generated from the thoughts and feelings thought forms are not ghosts or spirits of deceased. They are created by the living but take on the behavior of a ghost the same definition associated with go supplies however as stated the origination is different. These paranormal entities are a non intelligent hunting also known as residual rate a modified classification of ghost or spirit of someone seen shortly before or after their death. "We cheap boards toys or tools in the year. Eleven hundred eighty during the song dynasty in china historical records show that there was a practice known as fuji which at the time meant plant shut writing. It was believed that someone could communicate with the spirits of the deceased. The spiritualist movement began in the eighteen forties. Where many spiritualists us talking boards. In order to attempt to speak spirits this practice became very popular and financially lucrative for spiritual mediums after the civil war who claimed that they could use the talking boards to allow friends and family to speak to the spirits of those who lost their lives in the civil war in eighteen. Ninety ouija boards were created in patented in eighteen ninety one by elijah bond in baltimore maryland in the nineteen twenties. We cheap boards enjoyed their greatest popularity. There were many versions of the ouija would produce under different names by different patent holders. Examples of the boards were known as psychic game game board magnetic board and psychic instrument just to name a few the way cheaper name is now owned by hasbro however there are still other brands are produced similar devices. The scientific community considers the movement of a plant chat on ouija board to be the result of ideo motor response which means the people with their fingers on the plane. Chat or guiding it a consciously at he'll motor response is accepted psychological phenomenon in the scientific community the first scientists to suggest the ideo motor response phenomenon was michael faraday a scientists in eighteen fifty three when he was investigating inactivity known as table turning where participants performed a sand sit around a table placing their hands on the table in wait for the table to rotate table turning was believed to be a method of communicating with spirits while studies in laboratory conditions. It was found that ideo motor response was the cause of the plan. Check being moved meaning the person persons with their fingers on a plane chet. We're controlling it in. Twenty twelve study was conducted. That found that we was more accurate than guessing when the questions boys only required a yes or no response suggesting that idea motor response was being driven by the participants unconscious. Mind recognized by the scientific community as a disassociated state. The scientific community in general doesn't recognize the existence of spirits so the premise that spirit is influencing the movement of plant chat using a person as a medium is not accepted in the scientific community. However at our current level of scientific know how as a community we couldn't definitively prove nor disprove the existence of paranormal entities or their ability to guide someone to unconsciously with the plant shut in order to answer questions on their behalf christian denominations believe that using a ouija board could lead to demonic possession which refers to demon which is an evil malevolent entity that christians believed to exist. I am a very openminded person. However if asked i would suggest that we report is a form of entertainment and not a method of communication to be used with spirit howard spirit know how to influence someone either mentally or physically in order to move the plan chat even the leading neurologist. It be able to do that without technological mechanical intervention. Never mind any one of us common folk doing it after death. I feel the same way about the ovallis in the spirit. Also known as frank boxes. How spirit know how to get into the electronics in manipulate them to produce verbal communication using frequency modulation radio. What do you think about ouija boards. "Location each day of the schedule investigation. During those three to 6 hours we can obtain 12 to 24 hours of video surveillance to review three to 6 hours of audio evidence in any other evidence that we can collect. Upon arrival to the client's location, we will review the activity log that was complete at the lion's site and ask any pertinent questions if required. We asked the animals to be secured off site if possible as for both our safety and to minimize evidence contamination. If that is not possible, we ask that to be kept in location onsite that will minimize evidence contamination. We ask that as few people be on site as possible. But understand that for security and peace of mind that appropriate owner or their representative may wish to stay on site. We just asked that they remain in the control center to minimize investigation contamination. We will then ask the client for a full tour of the property so we can be shown where we May and may not go where activity has been occurring and perceived a concerns that we have to watch out for. The team will then decide where we wish to set up our control center where we will have our camera monitors and equipment staged. We will then begin the process of selecting where will be the optimum location for the setting up of our four near infrared wireless day and night vision cameras. They need to mean areas where they will best catch any paranormal activity, but also not in the way where they could be tripped over by a member of the investigation team. After the near infrared cameras are set up, we will tour the house taking base EMF readings of the entire property. We will note any above normal EMF readings. We do this using a device that is called a tri field meter. This device was designed to detect extremely weak direct current fields and ignore alternating current fields. It can also do a reverse. This is one device that will also find magnetic field variations. This device is sensitive enough to pick up readings as we get three volts per meter up to ten feet away. The device is also designed to filter out the earth's natural background radiation. Doing this task first in our investigation allows us to find high EMF readings that could be misperceived as or be causing or feeling paranormal activity. We will note any excessive readings analog. This also allows us to recognize any EMF spikes on the property as we will have a base reading to compare it against. During this time, we will also be walking around the property with a portable weather station which will give us base readings for temperature humidity and barometric pressure. While variations in eastern metrics is bound to happen during the course of an investigation, it may help explain if certain areas of the house have a heavy feeling which can be caused by humidity, barometric pressure and or EMF radiation..

"Paranormal investigation procedures. The methodology and standard operating procedures used by various paranormal investigation groups varies between organizations, primarily geared towards a preferences of the director and lead investigator. Today, I will give you some insight on how I prefer to handle investigation. Upon hearing from a potential client, I will ask them to fill out a questionnaire pertaining to their experiences. This question here permits me the ability to get a broad idea of what the client may be experiencing. In many cases, there may be a very simple explanation for the perceived paranormal activity, and I can resolve that for them without having to open an investigation. Some examples of this would be having them check for Lucifer wiring in a section of a house that they are experiencing parallel activity. Science has proven that long-term exposure to increase electromagnetic radiation can result in physical symptoms such as insomnia, headache, depression, fatigue, and a painful or itchy sensation. Lack of concentration, memory loss, tremors, and dizziness. Anything from being close to a source of radiation for extended periods of time such as a microwave, computer, smart meter, cell phones, Wi-Fi routers, power lines, and televisions, et cetera can cause susceptible individuals to experience a symptoms listed above and cause perceived paranormal activity. In old health settling can make some concerning noises when the level of temperature humidity and barometric pressure varies in a properly shielded transformer on the telephone pole side of a house or pull wiring in a garage can cause electromagnetic fields that can result in perceived paranoia activity. If we are able to help decline and find such causes immediately, then they are able to take the necessary steps in order to remedy these concerns. The question here also helps me direct the investigation in a direction that would be best suited for that particular client in question. Using the responses to this questionnaire, I will conduct a lengthy interview with the client and anyone also witnessing the paranormal activity. I asked at the various people involved do not swap stories during the time in order to allow for more accurate picture of what activity that is going on, so it is an affected by blending stories. If further investigation is required, I will then provide documents so the clients in order to keep a written log of paranoia activity. Information requested includes date time changes in temperature, weather, and sensations, as well as sudden moon changes, disappearing objects, telekinesis, discrete voices or sounds, apparitions witnessed and other related phenomena..

"Paranormal investigation equipment. There was a plethora of equipment available in the market, some of his fairy valuable, some of it, I would not recommend. The equipment that my Washington valley spirit uses includes, and SSX two K wireless near infrared with DVR system. It allows us to monitor and record day, visual and night near infrared video and audio. Flir, far infrared thermal camera, TG two 6 7. It allows us to see in the far infrared spectrum for heat signatures, we are able to take still photos using this device. A full spectrum camera with infrared light. This mobile device allows us to extend the visual spectrum to see in the near infrared spectrum beyond our eyes ability taking both still photography and four K quality video. A zoom 360 H four N pro audio record. Due to the high sensitivity and amplification and record audio that is beyond the capabilities of reception by the human ear. It allows for live use, so we can plug in headphones and monitor the feet during usage. Rampage. It's an EMF and temperature sensor. It alerts us of electromagnetic air in our thermal flux in proximity to the device. Laser grade allows us to see if there's any type of movement in a dark room. Temperature, humidity sensor. It measures humidity and temperature to record rapid thermal humidity flux. There are also several pieces of equipment available in the market that we do not use at mount Washington valley spirit. A K two meter. Historically, some TV shows have shown this device to be a ghost, spirit detector. This device is an unshielded EMF meter that can be set off by anything from a cell phone renegotiating its connection to a tower, a two way radio down the street, Wi-Fi, a human or animal, static electricity, et cetera. Anything can set this device off. Therefore, making it unreliable to be used as seen on TV. The only benefit of this device is to use it to find EMF spikes from electric equipment. Ghost box, also known as Frank's box. This device is marketed to have the ability to communicate with entities by rapidly scanning the FM radial band. All it does is pick up bits and pieces of what radio stations are transmitting. Theoretically, how would an entity manipulate electronics to form words that it is intending to speak? Obelisk. This device is marketed as converting localized electromagnetic energy into words. There are even cell phone apps marketed for this purpose. I believe this device is for entertainment purposes only. Structured light sensor camera, SOS camera. It is also known as. This device is marketed as gathering electromagnetic radiation in giving it a visual representation as stick figures representing spirits of ghost. I would use this device or entertainment purposes only. It is new, and while an intriguing theory it doesn't have a practical purpose as an energy can be represented as a paranormal entity on this device. "Paranormal investigation or go hunting. Is there a difference between paranormal investigation and go hunting? The two terms often use interchangeably, especially as it pertains to brain marketing TV shows or live paranormal events when a practice they are two different activities. Goals hunting is an act for entertainment purposes where someone or a group of someones visit a location in the hopes of seeing a ghost or spirit. Someone who partakes in this activity is known as a ghost hunter. Paranormal investigation is the act of researching and investigating the cause of perceived parallel activity in either confirming the existence of paranormal activity or explaining a non paranormal cause of the perceived paranormal activity. Paranormal investigators continuously educate themselves on the latest technology using investigations and the underlying principle of how the device operates. The continually research common and new theories into the cause of paranormal activity such as electromagnetic radiation, properties of various geological objects, quantum entanglement, physics, meteorology, parapsychology, other sciences, and they will research location history of where they are investigating. Someone who partakes in these activities is known as a pure no investigator. One is not better than the other, as they are two different activities, depending on your intentions, you may choose the recreational side or you may choose the more involved side of the field. You may wish to partake in both. As a paranormal investigator, I have gone on ghost hunts. They were not a client case. They were recreational events with colleagues in the piano investigation field where we didn't focus on the science or standard and investigative procedures. "Paranormal preconceptions, a photographic orb, also known as backscatter is defined on Wikipedia as backscatter commonly occurs in low light scenes when the cameras flashes used. Cases include nighttime and underwater photography when a bright light source in reflective and focused particles are near the camera. Light appears much brighter very near to the source due to the inverse square law, which says light intensity is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source. The small object is out of focus compared to the rest of the image giving a larger foggy reflective appearance in orbits caused by anything from dust, humidity, insects, pollen, pet dander, or plant life just to name a few. These particles may be free floating or resting upon the camera lens. These artifacts and photos are very common and very often misinterpreted as something paranormal due to misinformation that has been propagated over the years. A real electromagnetic based orb would be self illuminating and perceivable as an object free floating and projecting its own light, whether or not is in range of the electromagnetic spectrum that we are able to perceive with our eyes. One type of warp that would be visible to the naked eye that produces its own light would be one of plasma. There are four forms of matter as recognized by the scientific community. These swarms of matter are liquid, solid, gas, and plasma. A plasma orb will do very visible to the naked eye and would be very brief in tenure. "This day unique. It's thursday september ninth twenty twenty one. I'm russ and here's what you need to know about today. Yeah those school photos you know. Yeah i've got a got the mullet going on today. I've got the sweater with multiple weird patterns on it. I'm all set for school picture day. Today why is it today. We'll actually this only goes back to twenty nine thousand nine. This is rather new one of those Yearbook school photo companies. That said. hey let's make this a day and so it's today the point of the day. Actually i guess share those high school or even the elementary school photos of yourself in social media so that people can really have a laugh. No you were cute really yeah. It's also international box wine day today and before you share those photos or look at other people's photos you might wanna grab some wine. Just 'cause there's going to be some comments just say it's national weiner schnitzel day today as well now. I'm not talking about the food place. Now that's the us food chain right now. No no not talking about that. I am talking about the thin breaded. Pan-fried veal cutlet is primarily from switzerland and austria and germany. It is actually the national dish of austria. Which means arnold schwarzenegger probably loves this. So if you eat a lot of weiner schnitzel. You'll probably look like arnold schwarzenegger. I'm just putting two and two together here and i think that's likely the largest schnitzel way two thousand six hundred sixty three pounds and it was made it a festival in germany back in september of twenty nineteen So there you go. Oh by the way it goes back to eighteen thirty one i. It's also national teddy bear day today but instead of talking about teddy bears i can tell you. They're named after teddy roosevelt or theodore roosevelt and the whole hunting story. And all that stuff. But no i i. I'm talking about very specific. Bears today specifically care bears. Yeah because it's care. Bears share your care day. Yeah that's an actual thing. Believe it or not yes so this is actually from the care. Bears website Care bears and that's a trademark. So i could get in trouble for this. Maybe i don't know share your care. Day is celebrated annually on september ninth care. Bears are on a mission to spread carrying and sharing around the world and encouraged fans to spread carrying sharing. Love friendship acceptance. Fun happiness to those that you love everyday so it's got a good thing behind it. I i should note and went to the care. Bears website to go. Look all of this stuff up right and what's interesting about it. Is they have a kid section and they have an adult section now the adult section before you get frightened there. It's it's just so that you can buy care bears for your kids. But when i saw that. I kinda took it the wrong way you know. I thought maybe they're going to check my age or something. make sure i'm eighteen Before i access the special care bears don't know anyway. Yeah they they started out as a greeting cards right they. They basically were little characters inside of greeting cards and as with everything in the eighties. They were super commercialized. They each have their own personality. There was also books and candy and stickers close. I remember somebody coming to. School is probably in their school photo. with a care bear on there. I don't know why. I remember that but sweatshirt of a care bear. I think i remember 'cause i might have been laughing a little bit back. Then i don't know anyway They were basically repping their own. Little personas count like seven wars. And they were small. I guess kind of like the seven dwarfs. Maybe that's where they got the idea. I don't know why they did. Do movies The interesting one about their movies was the care. Bears movie to it featured a young girl who sold her soul to a shape shifting demon. That's a kids movie She did that so that she could be better at sports. And by the way. I should mention she was killed in the movie by the demon slayer bear. Okay i made that last part but that would have been a cool ending right. Yeah okay after the adult section remark and the demon bear thing. I don't think the care bears are going to be happy that i'm talking about today. Let's move on shall we. Let's move on to our historic events of the day and we start in seventeen ninety one washington. Dc the capital got its name. Yeah now okay. So washington dc actually would love to become a state by the way. Why well okay. Let's get into that. There's first of all. They're several hurdles that they're going to have to jump through before they can become a state now last year the house actually voted to allow dc to become a state. But that's as far as the got the okay the real question here is why do they want to become a state. Will currently congress essentially controls the local budget for them they also Give them very little say in just about anything and they have very little say in what the country does because yes they've got a congressional rep but that rep can't vote. Yeah it's a nonvoting rep. She can introduce bills and things like abbott. that's it. She can't actually vote on anything so their license plate there. They say taxation without representation so really. It's small area right. it's a city. How're you gonna turn the city into a state but if you think about this state would actually have more people in it than vermont and wyoming. So it's got about seven hundred thousand people and actually alaska only has seven hundred forty thousand people so it would be a pretty decent size as far as population goes. So what's the big deal. Why can't it just become a state will see they would get two senate seats Voting rights would happen in the house and that would perhaps shift control of both the house and the senate because dc is a blue area so it would be a blue state so therefore republicans are very happy about this whole thing. So the chances of this happening. I think it's pretty slim at least right now but if things change then perhaps we will see a difference in some point. Maybe they will get the statehood that they have been asking for for a really really long time. Speaking of statehood will california was admitted as a state on this day in eighteen fifty. Yeah california became the thirty first. Us state now. Let's you know whenever. I talk about a state becoming a state. I always like to give details about that particular state and this one. I actually live it. So i can tell you firsthand. What's going on here in california. Well there's forty million people in california and sometimes all of those people are on the freeway the same freeway in los angeles. Yeah we have five hundred faultlines here in california and that's why we're known for earthquakes. Four thousand seven hundred wineries and that's why we're known for wine. We've got movie studios national parks national forests out. I should say that many of those national forests are closed. Actually all of them are right. Now because of fire concerns so yeah. There's some bad things here in california. Like for instance. We're a big state which might give us political power. We've got that political power but.

"I'm so preoccupied with this i can't even really. What do you want to go to you. Spray paints law say. I'm good man. I you know facing cool. you know. it's it it accomplished me and it was so i was. I was fortunate in that sense that it it caught me right in bet crossroads where a lot of kids swept into something that they really have patent or real intention of being in you know. I guess you're so young you don't wanna even understand what you're getting yourself into until it's too late and now you're sixteen seventeen and the world is looking at you like you're an adult and you're ended this thing that you didn't know what you getting into and so like fortunately for me when i was like ten or eleven someone came along and sweat me out of it at the same time. Found something that gave me another for myself so so it was not hard thing if you're playing in a jazz band like playing shows when you are teenager Did you always imagine a career in jazz jazz. Definitely the first music that that was my first love music but pretty early on. I was always playing like like literally like the day. I switched to saxophone. Dad was like all right this weekend. We're going go play at your uncle's church. I immediately was comes jazz by merely at gospel to the story. You know and i already had hip hop kinda was like the soundtrack of my mind generation. My friends everybody was in that and then So i started playing saxophone. Eighth grade and then When i went to ninth grader. I switched schools. I want to. Hamilton was a music academy almost meeting. These classical musicians who are really into classical music and develop beloved classical music so. I don't think that. I don't think i was thinking about a career. In that sense. I just really like music make really good. Music and jazz was probably the fake. My favorite of all the music. That i was making even more with kumasi washington. Stay with us when we come back from break. We'll talk about one of his first paying gigs playing in the band of one snoop dogg. "Everyone and welcome to couples therapy. My name is naomi. my name is andy. And we're real life couple. Couple of comedians in on couples therapy. We answer a couple of questions from a couple of different listeners. S folks that is what this show is. That is what you have tuned into. I hope you are enjoying the free entertainment. The free entertainment. You're so silly. It's my defining feature. I would say i would say weird. Whimsey measure defining. Yes yes yes. Weird is the word you use. The trip i wasn't i wouldn't necessarily call you weird. I wouldn't call you. Wait my own accord. Manic pixie dream roy. Exactly how you doing. I'm doing okay. I'll tell you this. I had some cold brew coffee thinking it would pick me up and i know yet a it ain't but you got your hair done today you gotta hear my hair did. It is beautiful to be back on energizing you. Oh no it's given me the will to go on almost certainly. I'm no longer afraid of being seen. I've noticed as we are social and we see people that masks and very self conscious about my face. I'm not all right with his three. I i know where i am. You know i can pull off cute. And i'm like yeah. Okay that i anything. I still want to to go the dennis dillon. Get this tea stain. I know off that. I've been having to look at and zoom here that plagued me. I know i thought you were really going to do that. But no of anything. I will say this. I tweeted out version of this. A bit of a joke form but like the the of running into a casual acquaintance is back in baby. It's powerful baby is having my veins it is infecting every cell of my body Absolutely that's the one interaction that i've never mastered you know very at parties just like small talk and just like i'm good with with obviously with friends. I'm very good but it's like the casual acquaintance. I hate that interact. that's interesting. You say that. Because i was going to say that what you said. You were good at parties. Purdue remember when we talked about how you didn't know how to leave a conversation at a party. I'm wondering a little bit of that is happening when you run into someone on the street. It's all that. I'm good at a party up until the very end of the conversation but like so a casual acquaintance all. I don't know how to get out of this river. There's too much you know what it is. It's all gray area right because when you see a casual when you see a friend on the street you stop right. There's there's no bones about it. Stopped myself and i'm like that's a phrase right anyway. The point is you stop and you talk to them but when it's a casual acquaintance you're doing this calculus. Everyone's doing everyone's doing that. Mean where the equations are going on the background of the yeah right That's what's happening with everyone and you're trying to figure out. Should i stop and talk to this person. And they're trying to figure out that and you're trying to figure out how long interaction is supposed to go on and it's too much gray area. Yup th- and that's i do not flourish in gray areas might absolately that i am aware of shoots through the roof. In grey areas. A bear market for my anxiety is bear good or not good but like as bear when the stock market is doing. Well i thought it was bull market. It's broiler bear. But i don't know which is which who knows. Well i don't know but i do know naomi. we have a fantastic fucking guest today on the show. of course. she's a wonderful to your friend. You've already heard her voice. Her dulcet tones. I like to say yes. We talked to one the only sydney washington. You may know her from her new podcast hobby. Hunter you may know her from her previous podcast unofficial expert. You may know her from her instagram. Show cooking with sid. Which is an unhinged wild ride. Where food is sometimes actually club but it is like so nice and this was very. It's funny because i'm always. I always assume the young black girls don't really like me like i'm very like old. Auntie energy them. And so. That's what i assume so. I'm always like i hope we can have a conversation but it was very very warm. It's always been very warm. Yeah i met her at when we did this show in the back of a bar in new york five years ago or something like that before we get into the show though I just wanted to read this. This isn't so a couple episodes ago we talked to our wonderful eliot glazer and we answered a question on that episode about someone is They're you know now that the world is opening back up again They decided they won't have sex for the first of the first time they're trying to get into a we okay and they asked our advice like if you were if you had a child and you were telling your the talk as they don't do whatever well i'm kidding. Well they wrote back to us. Now i love it an update i love it. I'm going to read right here. High previous caller sending a follow up. I'm the twenty seven year old. Who wanna have sex for the first time after the pandemic you guys actually answered my call the day right before i plan to do it. Oh my god see. That is the lord at work that serendipitous kismet. That is the lord that is higher guy was from tender. Did an instagram background check. I told him it was my first time. I initiated each step and felt in control the whole time two things. This sucker didn't have a single condom so nothing that we're involve a condom. Say there's plenty of. Is everything honestly. You should have for everything you should have gone. Wouldn't go to the store. You have gone when you are at the doctor right. You should have a condom when you're sitting on a park bench just like in naked gun one of the naked gun movies. He just wears a giant condom on his body. That's what you should be absolutely also. I felt nothing in all physically or emotionally the first time the entire time. Not for lack of trying a fund self ristic anthropological experience. Anyway fun anthropological voyeuristic anthropological experience. Well that's not sex. I don't know what is he was surprised. I was so calm about the whole thing. I'm going to keep trying with other people for variety but just wanted to send in the conclusion. And let you both know your interviewers and sweethearts thing only angel. That's nice very exciting. I'm glad it was like a neutral experience neutral exactly sex neutral. that's good not negative negative neutral neutral but not second. it's just neutral. I'm just gonna the sex was neutral. Sex was not negative which is which is great. You know especially you know. I love them saying like i initiated the whole way being direct and we love that for them as lacey. Moseley would say so. That's beautiful and i love a follow up guys. Well follow up la follow up now now that you know what's going on. We're all up to speed. Let's get into sydney washington. Roll.
