Now that we're on daylight saving time and the sun sets are later, would you want to keep it going? All year long. Alabama congressman Mike Rogers believes that permanently sticking with daylight saving time could benefit the economy and people's health. So he's introduced a bill in Congress that would let states decide for themselves. Some states, including Alabama, have passed bills, directing the state to stay on daylight saving time, but they can't because of federal law, so Rogers bill would free up the states to decide for themselves. Attempts in the General Assembly to go to full daylight saving time failed in Virginia this year and failed in Maryland last year. News. Didn't we do a story last week about how a Maryland guy kept winning scratch off tickets in one like tens of thousands of dollars? Yeah. It seems like certain people are meant to play the lottery and you and I are not. Well, what you don't hear is how often they play. That's true. They may be playing every single week. We don't know how much money they've put in to get that much back. That's what I'd like to know. But he won two at the same time the Virginia guy. That is pretty cool. "And today our guest is Ben baker hi Ben. Hey, Jude, how are you? I'm really good at accept for this cult of my sound a bit funny. That's what that is. Well, I thought it was just me. So I think funny all the time. Something coming out of my eardrums. Brilliant. Benny, you're I'm not sure if your comedian or not, but you're definitely funny. Tell us more about you. Yeah, I started out in the high-tech business. Oh, God. Probably 30, 35 years ago. And up to about 25 years ago, I was up in the air 200 plus days a year. So if you've ever seen the movie with George Clooney up in the air, that was me. I was the guy that showed up at the airport, hadn't a clue where I was going. There would be a ticket waiting for me and my job was to fix problems. And I loved it. And then I got married, and then my wife and I looked at this and said, this is a divorce waiting to happen. Went up to my boss and I said, look, you have two days, two things that we can do. You could cut my travel days in half, or you can double my salary to pay for the divorce. And he said, tell you what. Why don't we buy you out? I said, perfect, done. And what they did is they paid for the what do you want to be when you grew up training? Because I had been in high-tech sales for more years than I care to imagine. And they said, what do you do well? It says, well, what do you do well is you help people tell their stories effectively. I went, all right. So I got about 6 months of playing golf. I got really bored and I met somebody on the golf course. And I ended up getting into direct mail. And I'm not talking about doing ten pieces of mail. I'm talking about doing a million. And we worked mostly for casinos and also grocery store chains. And what we realized is that most of these companies were chasing other people's tales. They were being reactive. And they would go, oh my God, we have to do what flyer because somebody else did a flyer and I went, let's stop that. And let's figure out what your brand is. What's your message? What's your story? Why do people love you? And let's let other people chase you for a while. And that's what I did. For the last 25 years, I've built brands, I help companies tell their stories and for the last ten years, what I've done is I've helped companies tell their story and build their brand inside their company because employees don't really understand the brand. They don't understand why companies do what they do. How they fit in and make sure that they're listened to understood and valued because a brand is only as valuable as it's unhappiest employee on their worst day. You know what? I wish more people got that. Because it's almost as if, you know, change happened, there's like an attempt at communication.

Yeah, costs so hot and cold, But big Ben just stinks. He doesn't. He's not good. He had one. You are looking at one half off, Probably what last six or seven games. You're taking one half and kind of extrapolating that, But can I ask you this? Sure. How much is it? I'm not saying that his arm is as great as it once was, because it's not How much is it to the pure fact that they're not even trying to run the football at this point? Because, like your quarterback, for example, Philip Rivers, how many times do we talk about this? The coach shouldn't be trying to throw the ball. Philip Rivers 35 40 times a game Should be trying to run the ball first, you at least have the benefit of a good run game. Look, the Steelers don't have that. So if you for example, if I put big Ben On the Colts. Do you think and the way that the Colts player I know I didn't ask you about Rivers. That then would be better than what rivers has done this year. This may be small. You've been very critical of rivers. Yeah, I have. I have. I mean, reverses played better than I thought. I would say probably marginally better, but I think they'll be probably around the same. Okay, Let me ask you this. Reverse it. You put rivers on the Steelers. That's basically Rivers on the Chargers, where they're making him last year. Throw the ball 50 something times a game. I'd rather have been on the Steelers, the rivers on the Steelers. Would you agree with that? Yeah, I would. But it's not like would you rather have just one year right now? Jared Golf in the Steelers are bent on the Steelers. JAG off, Okay? Disagree, but that's fun. Baker, Mayfield, brother Baker or Ben Baker Mayfield, Okay. So you Where would you put that on this list? I actually no problem or use a 12 really? Okay. All thanks Instead of going to the playoffs, I don't think he's anywhere near the top. Personally. User May that's why these lesser me. Yeah, and that's why they have We have conversation about it. Just golf in rivers really stand out to me. I could see the argument. Mayfield. But I would still If we're talking, they're on the same team. Would still trust bend slightly more right now than I would Baker Mayfield, especially not having never seen Baker in a playoff game. I look at the rest of this list. The other objection that I have Was Brady not in the top five. Brady when you watch him this year. You will not say this is one of the greatest Brady seasons that you've ever seen. But the guy is 43 total touchdown passes. 43 total touchdowns. 40 touchdown passes three rushing at the age of 43, Okay. He's got to be in the top five. So let me do this because it's kind of stupid to rank the whole top 14. I don't need to give you all my 14 rankings. I'll give you my top five quarterbacks. Going into the playoffs. No order, Mahomes Rogers. Russell Wilson. Josh Allen, Tom Brady. Those 52 may are the top five. Do you agree on that list could release Will you at least agree on that? Or not so much. Yes. No, eh? No order, But just those five in the top five. I am 100 set with you. Now who would be your six? That's a tough question. Who would be your six. So we're looking at Lamar Jackson. Ryan Tannehill. Drew Brees. Baker Philip Golf brought this burger Travis Key, Smith. You have to pick one to get into your six spot. I know who I'm picking. I want to hear who you're picking first. I don't want to see how we differentiate on this. So now you need a second to think about this guy Do. I'm torn between right? Hello, Lamar Jackson. So that's your two as well. You you think it over? I'm going to do our jeopardy song here And then when I'm done in here an answer and do better than the jeopardy contestants when They could not identify Cris Collinsworth. That will be coming up in the closing bell. Do do do do do do do you do do do do Mark Jackson? Oh, you didn't let me finish. I know. I'm sorry. I just the same. I Ryan Tannehill. Suppose he's nice, by the way. That could be used as a drop against me. If you have a juvenile my well, there's a few does this has been a banner week for grace and drop? See? But that is what My mind is such in the gutter. That's the one thing that annoys me with you just as a producer. I think you're wonderful Producer but any time I've done the doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo bom, But in order to do do do do do do do do bump bump bump. I didn't know you wanted me to let you get to the end of the song Yes. That that is how it works on jeopardy. So who'd you go with? Sorry. I apologize for jumping the gun. I would like to rewind and forget the last minute of the show. Who would you go with? I'll take Omar Jackson. Yeah, I went with the Mark Jackson as well. Big. Here's why..

Philip Rivers Different Brady Steelers Ben Baker Mayfield Baker Mayfield Drew Brees Jared Golf Ben Jared Goff Ryan Tannehill Mark Jackson Lamar Lamar Jackson Bend Colts Baker Philip Golf producer Omar Jackson Cris Collinsworth Russell Wilson
