"The favourite for Saturday's travers stakes is the Belmont stakes winner Tis the law, the owners of the law, a group of fairly regular guys from the Saratoga area they go by Saka. Toga stables are the same guys who owned funny side the winner of the two, thousand, three, Kentucky Derby and preakness they showed up to each triple crown race in a yellow school bus, not a limo. It was a scene to which many of us could relate but I'm going to give you a comparison of two other. Owners of horses running in Saturday's travers they are and Lori Hall who owned the Third Place Finisher in the Belmont Max Player and Orlando and Jonathan Noda who liked their travers entrant I line are the longest of longshots George Hall is the founder of a Hedge Fund, the Clinton Group that company's assets reached a high of five and a half billion dollars in two thousand, sixteen. Orlando Noda is a thirty one year old trainer who co all of his horses with his brother. Jonathan who's in the car business? George Hall and his wife Lori sold a six level. Manhattan penthouse in two thousand seventeen for somewhere around thirty eight million dollars. Orlando notice biggest return on investment so far has been the horse not loves a fight who not claimed for ten thousand dollars in May of two, thousand nineteen and whose win a month later represented his trainers I ever. T loves a fight won four races for his trainer and finished second last week in the John Morrissey at Saratoga. You. Get the idea Max player for George and Lori. Hall won the withers stakes back in February and finished third in the Belmont. STAKES IN JUNE FIRST LINE FOR ORLANDO. Noda just earned his first win in four tries and he's returning on only ten days rest to take on an imposing field. But if his trainers story is any harbinger, don't count first line out and we are pleased to welcome to win the game for the first time the trainer of First Line Orlando Noda what went into the decision to turn this horse around in just ten days. The horse came out of it good and I nominated him prior to even run especially. Like figure that especially wasn't GonNa go I was I was GONNA test my luck there and restaurant him because. The horse had shown me talent ever since I had him and I think got strike while the iron is hot right now and everything is just clicking on all cylinders. So I. Think we're just going to give it a go is not every day that we can have a three year old peak at the right time via because of this corona virus that maybe I might might just be able to pull off the upset and get my derby points that that I high horse up about the beginning. You would said to a couple of racing aficionados over the winter that you had a derby horse and first line what made you think that then Oh no the horses super talented it from the first time that we breathed him. We knew we had something special. I'm not the lightest of riders and horses just noting on track with me and I just can't picture it. Any other way because everything has played out to where it should as he broke his. Maiden here in Saratoga and I think the past two races, six furlongs, it was just the the too short for him for his long strident. He just went comfortable and those fractions buying the mollering Nathan not many horses hold up biting the whole time that they are at the top of the stretch hometown in first line and they've been at it. Right from the START I line on the outside pokes ahead and front hometown continues to battle down at the rail. Now, they're at the eighth bowl it is first line and hometown go to battle for a mile and a furlong here first line hud and front hometown not giving up they come for the finish and first line is first under the wire. Race I'm wondering if he's even cooled out yet from that race, I mean that was affirmed and Alydar Rier Dan Against Jaipur was neck and neck for a mile and an eighth I mean, how do you think that part of a racist going to affect him the ten days notwithstanding? Even fresh I'm not doing much with him and. Keep Afresh to the to the race. Then you gotta show up on the race checking in, and that's how he is all game once it gets onto the track. IS A. Very level-headed. Once once he gets into training just like train I'm just giving just. Keep them -freshing raider fire. For for the drivers.

Weekend Stakes Preview Presented by NYRA Bets
"The victory ride kicks off the stakes action here at Belmont Park tomorrow afternoon grade three early in the caught has just the feel of five phillies. GOING TO GO Six and a half furlongs as for the three year old's warning line favors one francs. Rock Cat Hall of Famer Bill Will Give Fellow Hall of Famer John Velazquez a leg up and this phillies done very little wrong on her career. She's three for seven. With four second-place finishes ran second in a couple of graded stakes, including the grade one spin away up at Saratoga last year last seen winning a third level allowance optional claimer. She uses stakes. Winner took the any limit kick off three year old season three starts back. and. Probably the only reason that this race isn't later in the card is that it's a five Horsfield and Franks? Rakhat is three to five on the morning line, and she may be the the loan speed in race, so she's going to be tough to beat at three to five, but that's a pretty short price, considering there some pretty good up and coming phillies near now I think number four center. I'll I'm going to give her another shot for. For Chad Brown and Joel Rosario Sheila Great Getting Her Maiden Win Gulfstream Park, when bet down to three to five at the end of March then came back in a tough allowance race at Churchill downs where she was really over bet, she was three to five that day against another very impressive maiden winner of this one for Steve Asmussen in casual casual ran a great race that day center I'll had all sorts of problems. She didn't break that well. She had trouble during the race, and she was just really never in at any point. I think it's a racy can kind of draw a line through? If she runs closer to the way she did and her debut. I think she's the one that could give Franks rock cat. The biggest problem Franks rocket will probably get the lead I would think Rosario would have center I'll sitting justin behind her and seeing if they can outgun into the line going six and a half furlongs. With you I'm going to take a shot with center. Rile planner. If? When I plan! Early took five tomorrow I will use both Franks rocket and center, but I'll tell you what I think. You can make a case also for up in smoke was undefeated and sprints. She's four five and a career. Lone blemish came when George Weaver tries to stretch her out Hollywood wildcat. Go at Gulfstream Park. She's raced exclusively of Gulfstream, in fact, steady diet once. Once a month February march April may June now. She gets a race in July. Here over Big Sandy, she wanted the game face overboard last time out for weaver Rod Ortiz Junior. Who wrote her in her debut against fellow Florida breads down at Gulfstream Park's in the climb back aboard for the first time. Since that day looks, you'll need a little help up front if Franks, rockets able to set an easy pace I. She's going to be very very tough. I think Senator I'll be the first one to come calling. Those are the two up in smoke. If you're looking to three deep, I don't think you need to center for Bobby and I race number three goes as the great three six and a half for a long victory ride go to the end of the card. Eleven race card like I said earlier, and the final four races make up an all stakes pick four, and it starts in reasoning with the greed three poker. Flat Mile on the turf for many years. This was the fourth of July staple. On the naira calendar here it is now as part of a super five stakes card. In, the poker though. On the widener, so they come out of that shoot. On the clubhouse turn we get a field of eight entered for the turf as a main track. Only it's all relevant with the way. The weather's been here. I would imagine you know there's supposed to be some rain. We're recording the show Friday afternoon supposed to be some rains rather day on Friday and into the evening. I can't imagine it enough to take this off the turf, so let's say it will be a field of eight.

"Will here it is Jack Knowlton visiting with Anthony's to bill on. Red Brand radio. Congratulations on a fantastic win. A lot of people feel like it was seventeen years in the making my friend. Seventeen years apart, and with New York breads and I know that's the. The mantra over attack a Toga. You guys support that program as well as anyone. Well I was pretty fascinated to learn that it was one hundred thirty eight years since the new. York breaded, won the. Belmont stakes now I know a lot of people are going to say well, then really count you know at you know. It wasn't a mile and a half and Yada, Yada but. In my mind, anybody who watched that race, who questions who would have won that race? It has been a mile and a half. I think the outcome would have been exactly the same as it was at amendment eight. And, Barkley had gone on record is before the race saying you know I would have liked a mile and a half of the source, and he's a horse again. New York Brad and that's what you guys do, you? You've been high on this horse from day one. Well. I watched them train at Saratoga. I mean you're up there and I'd go over at six o'clock in the morning 'cause. That was a time of day that Berkeley landed of track. It was almost darker. She got near the end of the need of what's dark. And not only did he. You know have a good works, and you know work quickly, not crazy fast, but you know good works. But the way he galloped out, I mean they couldn't pull him up. He goes around the second turn. After you know going, pass the finish line and writers just added tremendously difficult time pulling them up junior. Alvarado was riding. Mine is is raised back then, and when I saw that we went into a first range of six and a half furlong maiden mates for New York. Bom obviously the biggest change with the Belmont was not only the two weeks, but the distance. You've mentioned the ASTERISK. We'll get to that in a minute You guys pretty much. And gals I don't want to offend anybody in Saratoga those thirty-five parts of this. Is that accurate? Seven and funny is that I was that six or seventy? You guys and funny side. We had ten ten. Okay, okay only. The same folks lieutenant. And I the only holdovers class. You guys Gus Williams. He passed away several years ago as dead one of our other great partners Dave Man but Ruined I gave remaining to. Stay with it and never in the world expecting that we would get the kind of horse that we've gotten here with the law. And this was an important race for you to win Jack Not that you don't want to win. The Derby again or the preakness again, but the Belmont stakes with your dedication to new. York, Brad's and New York, and let's face it. you know in a game where horses changed hands an awful lot. You and Barclay have been together two decades at this point. This was a very important race for you guys to to tick the box on. It was, and now he's got one more coming up in my hometown Saratoga Springs I've lived thirty five years I know Barkley wants to win it badly as do I and. Really if we can you know, check this box. would include the champagne, which is the the most important two year old race. The Belmont stakes obviously being biggest Belmont. Race and We get the travers at Saratoga. That's quite a triple. And that's pretty remarkable. When you consider you know you started this twenty years ago. As pretty much. Just some friends getting together and buying some horses. We had six guys and Sackett Cyber. I find the eastern end of Lake Ontario I went to high school. We were having our usual. Where exactly are you calling from? I'm in Newcastle, which is northeast England not far from the Scottish border. Particularly unpleasant. The weather, obviously a beautiful place, but it's it's about twenty to midnight, so it's getting on a bit nearly bedtime book happy to stay up to talk to Jen's awesome Oy appreciate you staying up and talk and ponies way I'll just a little bit before we get into some pigs here for the Belmont. What's your? What's your kind of background? When it comes to horse racing I, know you've you've written about it overseas there? But what? What got you into the sport? And how long have you been following it? Well I'M A. I'm a DJ born roddenberry. Modern boy I'm a DJ to sit with my Granddad and everytime. Grandma would complain about him up a bet. He would say if I. Don't have the best every day. How new of in the middle of a winning streak? Cooled. After that called for forty five years like so I've. Always Watch the reason I've got local track. Newcastle is about a mile away. Yeah enough just to always always enjoy about a pet. Other things like my football. We got the primarily back here last night. Every. The NFL and from Youtube so. The way that stylish if that stands me in good stead or not. And and Yeah Quick Sidebar we put out kind of like an open casting for people who know horse racing, and can write about it on the site, and then you hit us up, and and the email address I'd look back in, or you mentioned in your email as well that you are one of the You I think you were one of the winners of a free role football contests right? I got my Hoodie on right now. I didn't know if he would pick just tonight. I'm representing, but yeah. Yeah, I think I would sit in sanity in two and one in week ten or eleven we. We have done a great. We have a great track record of mentoring. Mentoring some Brits looking to get involved, expand their DJ horizon well exactly, and of course we just put out an EP. L. Trick Right now, so if you're looking to play little, EPL, make sure you check out his podcast and the site so getting getting back to the horse racing. What? What's the horse racing like the scene over there in the in the United Kingdom, do you guys do? They have major events in like an triple crown format, just the league. How does that kind of breakdown? It's it's the same different. We defillo the same kind of patents all the three rules. The development of the began is the first of the big three ruled racist classics of the year. We'll follow the pardon in this regard things a year deal. Some Large International. Our three year olds I'll come across the breeders cope. Did you buy world? Company things I. I think the main difference is the in America. It's all. On nellie always do track left-handed. In Britain search huge array of racecourses. There's right-handed courses left-handed causes. Pill Downhill does really tight tracks big gala in trucks so the lot, it tends to be more situational in this. where in the US the US lot speed figures the use a lot of. Two hundred cabin because they're all just left on one corner. So yeah, it's. It's the same different in. Our three year, olds. Good competition actually when we get to the breeders, Cup at the end of the the Europeans will come across the French will bring some horses, and then you've got the Japanese and the Australians in the Irish. Always bring a Lotta horses, and the always said you get out. It's not about. Nothing isn't it the over there? Yeah is in the fall and showing I'm actually had someone compared to NASCAR versus Formula One in terms of horse racing over that versus horse racing here it's true. Our races are three three kinds all basically two kinds. It's either a straight track or attractive. You turn left, and sometimes there's stupid fucking trotters. You guys have trotters over there by the way. Newell yes, they haven't again once again. We're a bunch of hillbillies just. In the past anyway so checking. It gets quite. If I'm to elite and I bet when all the family of gone to bed. Can't get. You can access the stream of the reason till you've had a bet, so I, don't know the names of the causes or anything so I'll pick a horse I'll put my two dollars on, and then the street will pop up in its the trotting and it's. About. The trotters are clearly and crime always brings up that it's probably the most if there is if there is a rig sport, it's. It's definitely the most going up in New Jersey. The meadowlands were a staple. It's this this concrete parking lot built in the middle of swamps with a with a couple of stadiums and a horse track, and we were able to get in there. I mean I think I was as early as young as fourteen or fifteen. We were going to this track seeing horrible degenerate things. Things as you described at the same people there all the time, but it was a trotter track, and the things that we used to see. We used to see heavy favorites. The jockey would footfall out. It was just a fix and I know we. We recently were betting on horses, and we accidentally got involved trotters and I just lost it. It's just it's. It's not pure. If you're in on the fix, it's great, but otherwise stay away from the trotters all right bringing it back to the Belmont Saturday. I'm excited. It's the first leg of the triple crown i. know it's just again. We're star for sports, but this is always. It's always a fun time to get involved in these. "Been good. I don't know if they're there. I just loved the sprint on those other three horses so much that I I just have to pick them, and I'm willing to be wrong. Ethnicities Alex blows out of the water. And now we're GONNA get to the big race on the card. Obviously, the Belmont stakes first jewelry triple crown Obviously hasn't had this before with the fact that the Kentucky. Derby is usually run before this, but it is going. It is worth mentioning it does have a hundred fifty points to the winner toward the Kentucky, Derby second place. Get Sixty and I'm just not going to waste time right now. we'll talk about in a moment. Who we think are going to who horses we think are going to run well behind him, but I'm not GonNa Waste Time and I'm pretty much speaking for Eric on here. Both of us are going to go all in with his law. As, much as we might like some horses underneath in this race. There's really no other way to go. The competition kind of dropped out in this. Kind of dropped out and lead up to this race. Anticipate laws left is the really really the sole big heavy hitter from three year olds this year. We're probably going to both probably going to pick him anyway, but. I in a race like this? He is real he's. We think he might be the best worst. In the country in before all the injuries and you know that is kind of made us even more confident in that with most of the other top forces dropping out, and it just doesn't really seem like there's anything in this race stick. Could go wrong for Tis law in terms of someone beating him and if someone does, we're going to have to step run probably better than they ever have before. beat him that that's where I stand on this race. As opposed to the winner will get to some. Someplace that we are going to happen underneath in a moment, but I wanted to make that distinction the beginning and also Give Eric the opportunity to make that distinction as well. If that's the route he chooses to go..

"Factor this has been in his last races. It's it's really hard for me to try against. Moving onto going to Belmont Park, and picking up with these steaks action, and we're going to start with a grade three wonder again this is a five Horsfield Eric text me earlier, instead, a lot of these stakes races on this Belmont Carter very reminiscent of Santa Anita races in the fact that there's not really that many horses in here a picking up with this particular race right here, three of these horses in this race. Sweet, Milania selflessly, selflessly, sweet milania coming. Come back from. Losing efforts in the Breeder's cup, juvenile fillies turf, but speak to me of the summer is the third is going to open to the first point are coming off of long layoffs. Very unattractive When you look at that Antoinette the Belmont Horse is coming. It's starting on the grass for the first time after some. Really Sell Parter efforts for her and then highlight. Highland glory, excuse me is. The one horse that's coming into this race off of. Consistent successes and she has. She didn't win her last start, but prior to that she wanted to meet in at Gulfstream and a listed race down there. So you know a lot. These all these horses are coming off of maligned races at one point. Or another. And there's also the the fact that. Three these sources are coming off of substantial layoffs. Speak to me of the the only horse in this race that is coming into this off of a win on. That was a listed race at aqueduct, but you know it's a wide open race for the fact that a lot of these there's the layoffs, and then there's the lack of success from these sources in their last starts out, so sleep Malania was a lot of people including me were really high on her. Going into the Breeder's cup, juvenile fillies turf in. She didn't run terrible, but she didn't win the race and a lot of. We were very disappointed in the way that she ran there, but you know if this is. The race for her to come back in. I, I would say that if she can overcome the layoff this probably her best chance to come back and get get in a position to to recover from that win or that terrible effort I. Don't WanNa. Say terrible actually, but the poor effort in the Breeder's cup juvenile fillies turf. I'M NOT GONNA say that I'll take her, but it overall this racist just a very. There's a lot of question marks attached to every single force here. I'm a little more confident tweet Milania. Always been really high on her through I. Mean for the majority of juvenile fillies turf. I thought she was going to hold on before getting caught by sharing, and there's really strong form already out of that that juvenile fillies turf will really know you before this race. How strong it was when sharing runs in the coronation stakes later this week, and if she runs well there, you can pretty much take tweet Milania to the Bank of before that and win was so impressive Before then she's she dominated her maiden race, which feature the the second and third place runners both came back to break. They're made it impressively next timeout in her only loss in three a stretch before the Readers Cup was a second Bhai next to the very talented kristall so. In additional fact that she is alone, speed I I really can't swim Lonnie here. You'll probably be favored. The five selflessly rent a better than credited raised in Breeders, Cup. Juvenile fillies turf it was. I for me. I didn't pick it up until about a week ago. You know after I knew she was going to run this race. I went back and watched her juvenile fillies turf effort, and she ran a very credible race there by four really nice phillies when she finished this there, but only beaten four lengths this Grillo win was very nice beating crystal in the process, so if anyone's GonNa overcome the fact, we are going to have a very easy lead. It's going to be selflessly. You're a clear top two year and that's really all I can save up this I don't speak to me of summer because she had coming off the layoff, aunt that that field that she came out of the that fueled that she be. The Chelsea flower.

"All right, so we are back on racing on episode number sixty five. We got a lot of stuff to get to this week and obviously were very excited as The entire racing community at least should be i. know they're still going to be the killjoys out there. That are complaining the fact that the Belmont stakes is a mile and a half. A mile and half excuse me is a mile and an eighth. We've had that discussion before on here. We're not going to entertain that again. you know we make do with what we have and you know like. We said a couple of weeks ago on the sixth the day. That would have been the Belmont. The. Belmont stakes undercard is usually the best non Breeders Cup Card in the country. With all the with all the great ones and graded stakes races that are on that Belmont weekend. That card is spectacular Thursday Friday and Saturday those three days to cars usually amazing and you know we do maintain some of the punch that the card has. We still have four grade once. To racist for the three year, old males and females respectively as well as a couple of grass races on that card self as well as we got a sprint race, also the woody Stevens for three or Four grade ones in the card six graded races and Total We're going to get to another. Allowance race in the Belmont Card so. We got a lot of that to get to. We're also going to cover some action at as well as look back at the suffering last week so. I think we're GONNA start off with is from Belmont Park last weekend, the Ogden Phipps, which usually would be on on the Belmont undercard. They split that up and ran it last weekend. It was a really interesting race bringing back point of honor who her? See violates her last year where a couple of graded grade one placing behind really good Chad Brown phillies, and obviously she won the black eyed Susan preakness weekend, so. Really really talented thorough Philly, even though she only had. She she didn't win the majority of races three-year-old. Still she had a really good year with her results in grade six reason she came back as well, but you know if you wash the race. She didn't win and the comeback actually was reserved for. She's Julie. Terrible start. was completely predicated in the Shawnee which was a listed race. Churchill if you missed that, but she's Julia was completely predicated at the start in that race, a Churchill, and that's why she wasn't able to run up to what we would have expected her Toronto to obviously her being a pass grade, one winner You'd expect better from that, but she rebounded, and it's really good to see her you know. I, it's a Lotta, division. We've been saying that all year. You know you don't really know where she's going to fit in in the mold of everything else, but right now for her and her connections. They've got grade one win this year and you know if you got A grade one win. You have some credibility to your name so. She's Julius. Good. Another horse that you can add to this foresaw of older fillies this year and for. Point of honor. Excuse me, you know. It just seems like with her that her last couple of racists. She's been having really bad luck. The Apple Blossom. She was wide the whole trip. And still finished a very credible third. This was a really nice second place finish for her. She had a battle which she's Julie. She'll get there at some point I. Hope but you know from this point. You just hatch that up to. She's. Had, a lot of hard luck, seconds and thirds. In her career, but you know she's got got talent, obviously because she's able to be consistent like that, and that's the thing that I. would say that important with her. She's got that consistency with her, so but ultimately winner. She's Julie. Put herself in a really good position, and we'll see if point of you can get herself back in the winter circle at some point..

"It was a classic race as you know. They probably broke. A little bit are mold of a tariff training outfit? I was waiting for that whole staples and. Stuff too key guys have been there for years and years. My Dad's Christofle Florio's, and they're very beginning as well as key for men's, and it was great. It was a great winter. We didn't actually quite Nubi won the race first off, we bit behind the finishing line, and it was so loud because you're of California, chrome I believe there's a huge crowd that day. And from our angle, we thought just miss. It looked like Joel just got there just too late in that commission. beat us on the rail, so to be completely honest. My Dad mindset few things. Right during the you know right after the race thing we got you just missed by Astrid and. No one ever heard that or even knew that because I. Think the whole Press Spokesman Cal Club that Steve. I've. Been Lucky in that regard, but it was a terrific day. Here's a great horse. You know four grade once mile on a half. And never missed a beat that horse and I. It was a great great special day. When you're coming into Belmont stakes like that, you're the underdog. There's a horse going for a triple crown. What's what's the? What's the feeling like in the approach on your end? No. No, no, he's not the underdog I. Mean people say you might have been the underdog, but if you knew the horse, you want very impressively the Peter Pan. The only time you know. He wanted his made cruelly practically at Gulfstream raking. Second Allowance at Gulfstream and we were devastated. In that race turned out to be constitution won the race Tony's ran second and fourth was wicked. Strong I mean who would have guessed that the first second and fourth place finishers were those three horses in an allowance at Gulfstream. I think we might have just picked the hardest allowance that ever took place at Gulfstream. That day then he came back. You're supposed to run in the would but had. A bit of a hiccup, and then he came back into Peter Pan instead which was annoying, so we missed the Kentucky Derby. But you romped in the Peter Pan and combat point onwards. Your showed it was a different class is never missed. A beat Eve ran as a three year old and four zero never duct anybody read it all the biggest races. You're up, so it was great. I love the way for the race. Now we targeting run big. WAS HE GONNA get up or not I. Tell you honestly, but we were sure he's going to run big. You know I love the way you just defended your player to and I said that about being the underdog coming into that race because I've always said. If you're a trainer, you better defend your player right. If you're your horses going into a big race, you better have the confidence. Come out and back that horse and back that ownership group that you're training for. Know I agree listen. He was It's all about defending yourself. I suppose I suppose totally it's everyone called him a Belmont or else happy. He wanted you know. Everyone forgets. He broke his maiden very impressive. They go stream and he also won I think at the time. It's called the cigar mile or the New York which said aqueduct. You know he was just piddled maybe as a specialist. From a mile and a half, but it won't big races. You know at different racetracks. And I suppose there's no different than for instance. My Dad is probably pigeonholed labeled as a turf trainer I. Suppose It's great that you're able to something good but I think our stats would kinda defend that easy. You know very capable of winning races on turf or or track from Kiro all the way to you know nine year olds. Nine year old at the moment from five furlongs on grass to a mile and a half on dirt. It's I think I think the stature. Okay to be honest. Be Gawk Lamont, looking back on tonal win in two thousand fourteen. We are handling the show a little bit differently for you. Congratulations on another Belmont Stakes. Thank you. Thank you. Back to Mike. Thanks. Jeff. Joel REO, certainly all smiles here this afternoon incurred what I was going to say before we went to that interview one thing, that's very interesting about these two victories for trainer Mark Cassie in the Preakness and the Belmont, respectively, as that neither owner, Jerry barber was not present for the Preakness stakes victory. And as you just heard Tracy farmer, not present here today. That's a bit unusual. It is in Gary barber's case he is a Hollywood movie producer. He's been affiliated with MGM and spike last entertainment. He was actually overseas in France at the canned film festival on the day that the Preakness was run. That's why he wasn't there. And Tracy farmer is someone that has a diverse in very number of business. Interest real estate automobile dealerships fast food restaurants. So he's a guy that has a lot to think about from day to day, and perhaps that precluded him from being able to be here this afternoon as well. But in the end they came home winters. I mentioned earlier that Mark Cassie is. Already in the Canadian hall of fame. He is trained more than twenty.

"Would maybe fit that profile, but he's the one that's left standing at the moment. And I think he does fit that profile, I think, fortunately enough, I mean, his is already had three Belmont winter. So I mean that gives us some confidence that he gets a mile and a half Tacitus has the attributes that make a good Gaumont to watch in move watching over the ground. He's gotta take huge stride long strive. He's very easy movie. Arse doesn't struggle to do his work. It looks like it's effortless for him and finishes his works. He comes back to the barn, and two or three rounds around the Barneys recovered from these greediness normal. So, you know, we think he's got the cardiovascular system respiratory system in the physical makeup. I mean he's got the body type to get him coming into today's Belmont, has confidence Tacitus and his jockey Jose Ortiz. I think just being sma-. Field being a little longer race. Some writers being more careful on fast. They're going, I think it'll automatically put him up a little bit closer to Mohseni knows the first she's women in several times is actually come to work in now twice gone into this race. So I think he's they're learning a little more of each other all the time. You know, I could imagine Jose wanting to be close. And if Jose hasn't closer today that could be trouble for the rest of the field test is coming in, as a fresh horse and the criticism of Tacitus heading into the derby, was that he didn't have enough speed wasn't fast enough in that mile and a quarter race. Here's a.

"Horses. Like one of the longer shots show via who breaks from post. -sition. One comes in from the jersey shore from Monmouth park. First time trainer Gregory Sacco has ever had a starter in a triple crown race. This is a horse that really isn't bread to go mile and a half. But yet he has been so strong going to turns at Monmouth, Gregory talked to the owners they said, you know what it's year when there's no real standout in this three year old crop. That's why they're here just to take a shot and see what happens while the party is in full swing here at Belmont this afternoon. For more. Let's rejoin our trackside reporter Jeff bloom. Jeff, the party is in full swing. There is an electric atmosphere, down here in the saddling enclosure, imagine if you will about two hundred and forty degree semicircle viewing area stadium style seating. I say seating, it's actually standing room only, and it goes back about ten to fifteen rows, deep and the people are starting to line up in full force, as they await about thirty minutes away from post time for the Belmont, bringing the horses in here to get saddled. There are. All kinds of connections that are million about. You've got the breeders of the horses the owners of the horses and very, many different friends and associates of those connections. Well, you see all kinds of beautiful hats, and we're about fifty percents shaded here in paddock, that's lined with beautiful when I'm gonna call oak. Trees, huge tall old trees, that lineup the perimeter of this paddock area, and it's a great festive scene. And people are starting to get a little bit anxious, as the await those horses to come in, but I can tell you this, this is the pinnacle of the sport. And this is where everybody wants to be, and the folks that are here enjoying the racist. Can't wait to get a good look at these forces now Tom Leetch over to you. Along shots in this race. A lot of the money is going to Tacitus to war of will and also to intrepid heart but the horse finish in front to finished in front of intrepid heart in the Peter Pan stakes on this track for weeks ago was Sir Winston and he's several points higher at eight to one last, I checked, and he ran his lifetime best race over this racetrack in that prep race. You've got ever fast. He's coming off a lifetime best performance.
