A highlight from OUTCAST by Gloria Giorno

"Seek and Destroy that has been the theme of discussions of truth now for well I'm in my seventh season here and we started the show on Wynwood radio in Miami 2016 is when I agreed to do the show with them aired the first episode January of 2017 this is Ian Trottier here and today we are going to start talking if you are not familiar with the name Charlotte Iserbit she passed away about a year and a half ago she's a former advisor to the Department of Education under Ronald Reagan her story is very interesting and captivating because she talks about having received a list of these Skull and Bones members via mail that was sent to her father who was a Skull and Bones member at Yale and Anthony Sutton was hot on that trail so two names that you should familiarize yourself with and that is Charlotte Charlotte's work and that is the deliberate dumbing down of America she talks about the invasion of the American education system and that having been formalized under Jimmy Carter back in 1979 Department of Education so she talks about that through her book and then also what I was talking about was Anthony Sutton calling her being hot basically on the trail of dissecting the corruption that is it's really manipulation because Ella Hugh Yale was a major stockholder a main president of the British East Indies trading company that is a Rothschild controlled trading company and the Rothschild funded the American Revolution so I may be off here ladies and gentlemen but if you look at the flag that was flown above the John Paul Jones excuse me the USS Alfred commandeered by John Paul Jones on the Delaware that basically started the American Revolution that flag is basically identical to the British East Indies company flag and then that you trace that and you go back to Cambridge Massachusetts and something called the flag committee which is Continental Congress approved Washington Franklin adopted what became the first flag of the United what became known as the United States and that was the US Grand Union flag which as being designed by Betsy Ross that is the US Grand Union flag which is identical to the British East Indies company flag because that is where the financing came to fund Washington's army and then you ask well wait a second that's English and well yeah this it is English but it's not English because London the city of London is not technically part of England it is its own banking it's sovereign nation a Roman banking colony still in existence these are all facts and you can cross -check them but anyway so seek and destroy corruption that is how I that is that is how I theme my discussions my conversations my talks it's what I do in Trottier with discussions truth today we're gonna talk about the Department of Education rather the state of the education system in the United States so quickly before we bring the guests on we'll be we'll be talking to Gloria Giorno and her son Stevie and getting their view as conservatives what it's been like for Stevie to go through I think it's Belmont University as a conservative so without further ado thanks for tuning in for the podcast on and we're bringing on Gloria and Stevie right now calling Laurie and Stevie this is Ian Trottier for Discussions of Truth Gloria hi nice to meet meet you and welcome to Discussions of Truth I've looked at some of the work that you're you've excellent hi Stevie so thanks for for joining the the the show and please give listeners an introduction to who you are Gloria you can start tell listeners who you are what you what you do and then and then Stevie you can do the same please I try to destroy a young conservative and I also did a nonprofit the name of it is United Women Foundation what we do is mentor employ aid and young conservative women who are in Stevie's situation and we also give out scholarships to conservatives who are not in need of a scholarship but who are conservatives and who are promoting the conservative agenda in their lives thank you Gloria and that's United Women Foundation calm I'll go ahead and put a link to that in the episode Stevie go ahead and introduce yourself for us please well thank you very much for having us on my name is Stevie Giorno and I serve as the chairman of the Tennessee Young Republicans and I am the former student body president at Belmont University where I was attacked by the radical left for being proud of my country and being proud to be an American on the 4th of July in 2020 during the as a mother for protecting your your family and your country I've looked at the website I've looked a little bit about both of you and what's interesting is you have been you've come my way and your stories come my way through a contact there in Florida and your Stevie your story is daughter went through something very similar and in her university classes but Stevie go ahead and tell us a little bit about about what you experienced you were the student body president at Belmont University yet you were attacked for your political views isn't that right picture of myself in front of the White House and I captioned it that I was proud to be an American and I thanked those who had sacrificed and served so that we may have the freedoms and liberties that our forefathers intended for us and within 24 hours my fraternity was blackmailing me threatening to label me a racist and remove me from the fraternity there were hundreds of comments on my Instagram post and there were hundreds of signatures on a change .org petition that sought to remove me as the duly elected student body president even though I was elected unanimously with almost 99 98 % of the vote and so it was really bad that students friends of mine my fraternity brothers wanted to attack me because I was proud to be from this country you know my grandparents escaped from communism in Yugoslavia and my mother lived there for a year so I've heard the first -hand horrors of what happens in a communist country and I fear that our country is headed that way every single day. Now what's interesting is one of the articles that I that I went through briefly was is written by Campus Reform it's published on an online newsletter called Campus Reform and one of the stories that they have today actually talks about glorifying Che you Guevara know this is a this is a socialist figure that that helped with the with the cubist Cuban communist revolution and Fidel Castro you're you're talking about your family having come from communist Yugoslavia are you seeing are you seeing Stevie in in in in your experience on on campus now I don't know what you're doing now maybe you graduated you can bring us up to date with where you at right now but are you seeing some of these same the same signs that that perhaps your mother or your grandparents were talking about that were that were red flags for for communism growing within the country are you seeing that experiencing that I do and I think unfortunately it is getting worse specifically at Belmont University they refused the school is refusing to allow a turning point USA chapter on campus I think it it's it's it's awful it's an infringement on our First Amendment right to freedom of speech and freedom of belief to protest to assemble and so it's really unfortunate what's going on with with colleges and universities I graduated in the spring of 2021 but I have heard of the horror stories happening at private Christian schools so -called Christian schools happening across the country and until students and parents and grandparents begin to see what is happening you know the first step to solving a problem is acknowledging it exists and it's there and it's not going to get better until enough conservative students and parents realize that they need to stop funding the indoctrination machines of universities and change course well it's very brave of you to say that glory I want want to get your your view and and and I want to first first say this I opened this show up before I brought you on with talking about somebody named Charlotte Iserbyt and I'm happy to send you her link to her book it's called the deliberate dumbing down of America what she did was she started dissecting what was happening under the Reagan administration with the attack on the indoctrination that we're seeing fruits of today a few decades later but Gloria did you did you ever expect or suspect that something like this might happen to your son I I he gets into college were there any anything anything happening up to that time where he's now the student body president of Belmont University anything before that that you were that you questioned well you know hey they he might he might need to defend himself or was this a complete surprise to you it was a complete surprise there was absolutely nothing the handbook the literature the online documentation about Belmont University everything fit a conservative Christian agenda there was nothing I mean personally I think it's a bait and switch but there was absolutely nothing I was friends with some of the professors who are conservatives at Belmont or who were conservatives at Belmont and we had spoken for two years before Stevie made the decision to go there and no there was not any kind of indication that anything like this would happen now we would never allowed our son to want to go to a school where he would have been threatened for his beliefs I mean he had been working for Republican candidates since he was 17 years old so it was out in the open it's on his LinkedIn it's public so no I mean we we were told on every tour we were told at every meeting that this was a fully free campus there would be no harassment it was Christian it was conservative and I read the handbook and Stevie followed all the guidelines when these things did start to occur he did follow all the guidelines he followed all the rules he turned everything into administration and they did nothing absolutely nothing and Stevie yeah go ahead to this day they have not responded in any way shape or form nothing and this has been three years now so you have not gotten a formal response from the school administration Stevie you're simply in DC taking a photograph outside the White House expressing your gratitude for the country and the values that it stands for did you ever suspect this type of backlash coming from the because he knew that if he spoke out against them that they would send him to a camp where he'd never be heard from again and really that whole year of 2020 was either you agree with everything we're saying you endorse the BLM organization but we're gonna do everything we can to destroy you and in fact because Tennessee is a single -party consent state that means you can record conversations with only one person knowing I did record those conversations with my fraternity which my mom put into her book and in those conversations my fellow friends my fraternity brothers say if you do not apologize for your post if you do not endorse this group we're gonna do whatever it takes to destroy you and your career and your reputation so it's a more mild form of what happens in communist countries but because these students were not held accountable it is only going to get worse and worse and it did I mean there was one instance where a female student who worked at a fast -food restaurant I would go to for my breakfast in the mornings she admitted in the official College Democrat group text that she was putting quote gross stuff in my drinks every single day because I was a an awful conservative who loved this country and one endorsed the BLM organization and the school guess what the school did when I turned her in what did they do they accepted her into Belmont law school you gotta be kidding me I'm serious 100 % she was rewarded for attacking a political opponent and I think that's dangerous as we see what's going on with President Trump he is being attacked because he's leading in the polls and it's truly unfortunate that we're becoming a banana republic yeah did the did she make you sick with whatever she put in the drinks and we couldn't even get the Nashville police who are unfortunately very short staff due to the liberal City Council and the liberal mayor at the time unfortunately they were they were unable to investigate it because I was perfectly fine thankfully but they said since there was no lasting issues that they refused to investigate and then the school accepted this girl into law school with full knowledge of everything she had done struck so it it shows the systemic problem we're having and imagine if this is happening in a conservative Christian private university in Nashville Tennessee one of the most conservative states imagine what's going on in all 49 other states we don't have the ability to record conversations and to take screenshots of texts and emails and and have such transparency I mean it's terrifying to think what's happening in these other colleges yeah very well said Stevie tell us about that book and tell us about how tell us about how it's been received my husband and I we want to speak out on this we want people to know I need parents and grandparents to know what their children and yes very teen but there still are children what they face and what they are up against when they go away to school we need for parents to fight back we need for parents to take a stand if 40 % of students stopped attending their respective universities you know that the agenda at universities with administration would change so we as conservatives we have that title of being silent majority because usually we are silent well Stevie and I wanted to change that hence the book I use I feel that the book is an educational tool for parents learn from what happened to my son learn from the experience that we've had we went to this university many times it's not far from our home we investigated it we knew people who worked there who taught there and never once did we feel that it was going to be a threat to our son and look what happened so whatever you're seeing I dread to think what's going on at public schools I just dread but I want parents to learn learn read the book you'll see everything is documented in there as my son said fortunately we're able to record and we're able to use everything for information but we need for parents to be more active in their students and their children's educations even when they are at college because they are all indoctrination facilities I did live in a communist country I went to first grade in Zagreb which was then Yugoslavia in 1972 and I can tell you that on my way to school my walk to school every morning I had 1 ,000 US dollars in my backpack I knew if civil unrest broke out at the age of six I knew how to get out of Yugoslavia get into a cab that was waiting for me at the end of the hill and that cab driver would take me to the border of Yugoslavia in Italy where one of my aunts would meet me and my parents would come when they were able I also knew the police officer on the corner he wasn't there for me he wasn't there to make sure that I'd be safe or anybody else he was definitely there to protect the communist regime and Josip Tito who was the dictator at the time and the parallels that I saw with what I experienced living in a communist country and what my son endured at Belmont University it's there if it's clear as day and I want to enlighten everyone who wants to hear from me I want all parents to know this is happening in our country now too we are being silenced and shut down the title of the book folks is outcast how the radical left tried to destroy a young conservative and that is Stevie so Stevie was this a the attack on you was this coming from the BLM movement at Belmont University or in Nashville have you identified the nucleus of where this attack came from okay so let me ask you a broader question we saw during the Trump Tifa uprisings mainly Seattle Portland but obviously across the country Chicago New York but that coincided with this this COVID -19 virus outbreak as a as a university student you've now graduated but Stevie were you were you drawing any parallels to either of these things happening during the Trump administration that seemingly linked to a communist revolt within the country does that making sense were you able to draw any connect any dots Stevie we know from history that it usually doesn't work that way and the government's gonna keep taking more and more of our rights and when you couple that with what is happening what did happen in 2020 with with the riots and people getting away with committing crimes to where if you and I or anyone else who was a conservative did burn down a courthouse like they did in Nashville or protest and kill innocent people in the streets we would go to jail however because they were advancing a political movement that the liberal district attorneys in big cities supported they were let go and they were not punished like they should have been like we would have been so the hypocrisy is terrible I think it does parallel communism to where you know if you remember the black shirts Mussolini's black shirts taking control of the Italian government because they were the advancing political agenda and movement that the powers that be wanted them to they were able to harass and intimidate people into supporting them and I fear that our country is going that way and we need people to stand up now if we're ever hoping to take back our country and get it back on the right track and under control Gloria the book is recently published it looks like it was just published last month and you've got us forward by Sam Sorbo how's the reception of the book been so far what are people saying who have you spoke to about it how is it being received lot Gloria a of media outlets that are reaching out to us I'm being asked to speak almost on a daily basis different organizations different groups Stevie and I have traveled to a lot of different states throughout the country and we will continue to be touring and we are I have started a conversation and parents are now extending that conversation with their friends and that is the goal we need to start with one person talking to another and now the growth has been exponential it's incredible the book is selling very well it's available on Amazon and wherever books are sold but from what I have witnessed and the calls I am getting yes it is and I mean if we as conservatives don't speak up we're gonna be done this is it and if America Falls there is nowhere else to go and our children are being indoctrinated I don't care what level of schooling it's that they're being indoctrinated on every single level and if parents do not set a strong foundation in the household when the child is born and continue that throughout a child's life when they go to college always we will not be America any longer so the book is being well received I do have parents who have reached out to me and who have asked me questions likewise I do have some haters but that's how I know I'm making a difference because the hate is there as well yeah absolutely well said it's like when you went once you're censored you know that you're putting up the correct information on the online right Stevie are you concentrating on any particular campuses as you tour the country you point of a Christian organization and unfortunately they they canceled the meeting that was going to happen at Belmont and so been trying to help the students out there at Belmont but really I think the key thing is getting in front of as many young people as possible who are conservative and letting them know that they're not alone that the hardships they're going through have happened before and they're gonna happen again and we've got to stand up tall for what we believe in and we can't be scared of people saying mean things about us or what people put on social media or what they may say to us we've got to stand up for what we believe in if there's any chance of saving our country thank you very much let me ask you this question Gloria as we as we wind down and then I want to give each of you an opportunity to leave listeners with some final words and thoughts but Gloria as somebody who's lived in a communist country and it sounded like you did at least one year schooling their first grade what's happening right now to the border of your country what's happening down there they believe they have freedom and to an extent they do and I equate it to when I speak I speak to a lot of young people because young people are what United Women Foundation is mostly about and so when I speak I they look at me very oddly when I tell my story but what I have found that works very well is I bring up a lion at a zoo and he's in a zoo he's caged his needs are met he has food he has shelter he has water he has medical attention and it's all for free but he is still in that cage but he is able to roam in that cage correct and then we have the next picture a lion picture lion in Wyoming in Montana anywhere in this country roaming freely that lion bends for himself he finds his own food he finds his own shelter he finds his own water he takes care of himself that lion is independent to me that is the difference that is the bottom line that is the difference between communism and America that is the difference between our constitution is that lion that is roaming free throughout this country and that's what we are right now so that is something that I think resonates with young people and I I believe that putting it in a perspective of a picture like that they are beginning to understand a little bit I hope at least I mean I don't know right now what I'm seeing is a lot of people have said we cannot have an opinion because we have not experienced it which truly breaks my heart my family in Croatia thinks that they are free in effect my family basically is a caged lion yeah incredible and and let me review what is happening right now at the southern border in in the U .S.

Nashville shooter was ex-student with detailed plan to kill

"Nashville police say the former student who mapped out their plan before attacking a Christian elementary school may have been driven by resentment. Residents gathered at the Belmont United Methodist Church in Nashville Monday night to hold each other up in prayer after a deadly shooting at the covenant school. Metropolitan Nashville police chief John Drake says a suspect who killed three children and three staffers at their former school left evidence that is being reviewed. We have a manifesto. We have some writings that we're going over that pertain to this day, the actual incident. We have a map drawn out of how this was all going to take place. Drake did not say what drove the shooter to open fire before being killed by police, but he told NBC News that investigators believe the shooter had some resentment for having to go to that school. Audio courtesy, in remarks yesterday, President Biden says Congress must pass legislation that will help fight gun violence. We have to do more to protect our schools, so they aren't turned into prisons. I'm Jennifer King

"The fans who this building really represents they sold the building out They came and took all those tickets for the entire season So we're sold out John talked a little bit about the fan experience here and really how you guys thought about that when it came to designing the home for the islanders Yeah it really is all about the fans it's all about inclusion It's about being able to go to the Heineken bar and you don't need a hall pass to do it You want to play with a crack and you can play with a crack You're hearing that noise And gentlemen And at the same time for those who want to do business celebrate a special occasion we have everything from special clubs to a speaking that'll be opening later Which is that so You do feel like when you're here it's an experience It's about gatherings You can see how people could just gather in different tables It's a Disneyland for adults Yeah That's what it is It really does feel that way Very different from other arenas Totally So we have two patios here So one of them's the Heineken bar So it looks out at the racetrack in the paddocks across their way at Belmont park And if you think about it the others can't do it because they were designed around railroad stations and train tracks That's the brilliance here is we had 440 acres to build a campus out and we weren't restricted and didn't have to compromise on the fan experience because we got to design the building perfectly because we weren't trying to squeeze everything in How did you know what the fans wanted at this point Just a 400 fans a night Did you At every home Will you play with them I have nothing against owners at the owner's box but if you're building a new building you have got to hear what the fan who's having the experience wants And I wonder fans have a great reputation.

"Think John Belmont and John Jagger for sharing their recollections with us that Belmont was incredible the little bit I got two year I was occupied down the hall, but they would dip in and John having that New York perspective that big Apple knowing what the footprint knowledge of of what the World Trade Center is, it was And, uh what? You know that whole neighborhood The layout was like all that business. He brought that to the table that there was truly priceless. And jailer, of course, is Jagger. Yes, I think it's important for everybody to at least take a little time to either watch something. Listen to something. Do something to just remember what happened that day. There's a great documentary on Netflix that just came out. At the beginning of the month that I was diving into last night, and it just solidifies how impactful that was For so many people. I think it's important. We all go back and do that and keep those memories alive very much so and it's hard the little bit. I've dipped in so far because it's an event that played out all day long. You know, Like, you know, JFK is shot. He's dead. It was awful. It was dreadful. But it was in the moment. We didn't see it. Yeah, there was no film of it, Uh, December 7th Pearl Harbor. There was film sanitized for your protection. But you saw in the movie theater. You heard about it on the radio. 9 11 played out life on television for hours for hours and hours. You and I were both on the air at the time, and I ended up staying till about six o'clock that night and just remember running back and forth to the newsroom because we did not have TVs in the studio at the time, So you didn't see any of that? Well, our producer in across the hall Had a T V in there, and he was the one who first alerted us. Let's see who mike and david like on. Top in the junky club gold cup. I don't know how interesting this jockey club. Gold cup is from wagering perspective. It doesn't feel like there. Are that many different ways to go ashore field. I'm gonna take down on the rallies the morning line favorite. I guess at the end of the day you could say. He has much more to prove than either of the other two short prices in here match. Play or super saver Certainly that's probably the case but this source just looks like he's shown this kind of potential basically right from the start always felt like he was headed towards races like this. He just had trouble staying on the track. He came back to lay off last time with a really impressive win over what turned out to be very solid allowance field and other triple digit buyer for him. It feels like he could be forward in this race where there's not that much for him to have to deal with. I'm just gonna take him in. Yeah i'm not gonna sit here. Suggest some kind of great belt if he does go favored. But i don't love the recent form of super sabre since he's come back from the layoff I didn't really want matchplay to regain this time. I've been chasing the doors for a while. He finally paid off at a good price when he won the suburban. I'll try to beat those two horses this time with four zero.

He Cyberstalked Teens for Years, Then They Fought Back

"That brings us to another troubling story per group of high school. Girls in new hampshire help came in the form of the only detective in their tam giang. Ladies were fighting to even go outside. It was not something that i had ever dealt with before. That's detective rachel molten in two thousand twelve in our small town of belmont. She found pursuing a mystery. Man was targeting multiple female students in a disturbing way. The case started when bolton was contacted by a girl. Refer to as. Kate and kate had a distressing stories share and unidentified person had been chatting her up overtaxed even though she didn't know who it was identified himself as seth initially it was friendly contacts and then one day it was like a light switch was flipped on and he just started requesting nude photos of her. She kept telling the person. No i'm not going to send them to you. Attend her the nude photos that he already had of her somehow is more or less a surprise attack on her that I have these. And i want more. And if you don't send them on going to spread these over the internet this mystery man was threatening to up and kate's life and it was now up to detective molten to stop him.

Belmont Apartment Building Evacuated for ‘Structural Concerns’

"Of residents are out of a home. They were evacuated from a seven storey apartment building yesterday afternoon over fears the condo could collapse. It's an old building, so you know, I just felt like had they been on top of it For all these years, we wouldn't be here. Cora notified her landlord of the crack in her sixth floor ceiling in late July. Engineers came to inspect and on Friday they deemed it unsafe. Recommending everyone evacuate. Actually, it's like a movie. I suddenly like. Refugee is the first I don't have this experience before Towns building inspector says there was no imminent threat of a collapse just structural concerns. But officials say the memory of the deadly building collapse in Surfside, Florida in June ramped up their response. All of us are on a heightened sense of awareness. I think that goes for public safety officials. I think it goes to building owners and building occupants. That report came from WBZ TV S Cristina Rex. Engineers will be back for a thorough inspection on Monday.

A Look at Farallon Industries

A Look at Farallon Industries

"Couple of months ago. I told you about a guy who dropped off some vintage scuba quip at the shop. One of the regulators was an old poseidon cyclone and that spurred me to segment on poseidon here on the show. I also mentioned that the cyclone was complete with a set of farallon gauges and that there were a pair of farah line fins that were unfortunately torn so they got me thinking about doing some additional research on fairlon and doing a segment here on the show. I gotta tell you. Researching on industries was a bit of a challenge. It was difficult for me to piece the information together. So some of this may be a little bit out of sequence. Let's start at the beginning. Or what i think is the beginning from my research. I believe it was somewhere around. Nineteen sixty nine. That guy named ralph osterhaudt was working on a diver propulsion vehicle or dp that he called the mark one. It seems that this was pretty successful. Product and the us navy decided to purchase two dp marquand from ralph and it appears that that's when he started foulon industries. Farallon is the name of a small group of islands about twenty six miles due west of san francisco. I wasn't familiar with the farallon islands but found out some interesting stuff about them from what i read. They were originally called the islands of the dead by native americans and then given the name farallon meaning cliffs by the spanish. I'm not exactly sure. Why ralph named is company farallon industries. Farallon was based in belmont california which is between san francisco in palo alto on the san francisco bay side. The address was listed as one three three three old country road. But when i google map data address it came up with one three three three county road now. I like to take a look at the street view at these locations to see what it looks like today and today one three three three county road in belmont california looks like a self storage facility. One of the ways that i researched founded on industries was to look back at old trademark registrations impacts when registering a trademark or patent near sometimes a description of the business on one of those registrations the businesses described as as a california corporation producing goods and services for skin and scuba divers equipment namely self-propelled vehicles for transporting scuba divers. Interestingly i saw a fair aligned dp up for auction just yesterday. I think one of their most famous patents was also in early one. It looks like it was around seventy one and that was the shock dart famous because of its uses a prop in nineteen seventy five blockbuster draws the shark dart is described in the patent as a compressed gas injector weapon including parts. Therefore you may also see these come up for auction from time to time and complete rig gets pretty pretty expensive now. There were a whole lot of patent issued to caroline industries in the nineteen seventies. It looks like it looks like there was another row involved with foulon who is also inventor and that was ralph sham champion in an old article that i read who's identified as the president of farah line industries and was listed on a number of different patents. So let's take a look at some of these products in one thousand nine hundred seventy four. It looks like they submitted a patent for a decompression indicating instrument and it said it was an analog computer then in one thousand nine hundred seventy five. They produced a pressure gauge and started to design fins over time. They introduced the farah thin the fahrenheit which was a rechargeable hand-held light and then in one thousand nine hundred seventy eight farallon industries was issued a patent for a pilot regulator that said it incorporated a novel valve assembly in the second stage in the form of a unique main diaphragm valve and a pilot valve assembly. Now i did try to trace. What actually happened to farrell on. There's some indication that it was acquired by a company called tacna. But if you look on the oceanic website they say that. Bob hollis took a big step forward with oceanic when he acquired foulon industries around nineteen seventy six giving oceanic full line of scuba equipment with an innovative line of instrumentation products. I'm not exactly sure when oceanic stop branding their products with the farallon logo. I did find a price list and catalog. from nineteen seventy eight. They're still showed a lot of the farallon. Products including their low profile pragmatic mask their patented molded mouthpiece swim snorkel. The farah light farah fins and all their instrumentation they were also still producing four versions of their diver propulsion vehicle. The mark to the mark sri mark for mark five. Interestingly in that cadillac. I did see that. Both the farallon. An oceanic logos were shown together. And oh by the way you could still get the shark dot and he came in two flavors the magnum supreme in the magnum super. Well i knew. When i started this research on farallon line industries that would be a little more challenging than some of the other companies that i've researched farah line. Industries wasn't around very long but it looks like they did some really interesting

"There definitely willing to look past that poor effort in the epsom derby his to start this year very very impressive on the road to the darker you can understand why he was the favourite india english darby. He's cutting he's cutting back in glass a little bit to a race. It has some good american horses. There are good american three year olds in this race. But i don't know that they have the talent to stack up against a horse who is favourite in english. Classic race i'm not going to try to beat bolshoi ballet here. Neither is eric again. This is a very chaki week. And i already prefaced it. I ended up picking three favorites out of the five races that we picked on this episode. But i feel confident in aidan o'brien's to europeans and i'm not going to try to be bolshoi ballet. I have a preview for both the belmont derby and the belmont oaks. If you want more in depth analysis on them another horse that we have liked unreason run up before that i will be using is safe conduct. He is some good value on the morning. Line right now. I imagine it's going to stay there but don't look pass the americans in here. Because there are good americans but for me bolshoi ballet's just too hard to beat and with that being mentioned. That's it for this week's episode. We'll see you next week when we will be previewing opening weekend at del mar and saratoga very excited for those on top of that. We get a really nice treat. We have the haskell at monmouth park as well as accompanying stakes races on that card as well so opening weekend in del mar opening weekend at saratoga to the best tracks in summer and a very big monmouth park. Hopefully eric will be back with us next week. I haven't. He hasn't given me an indication that he won't be so all things. Go right eric. We'll be back with us next week and we'll get into what is going to be very fun summer at del mar and saratoga and erase. It is going to to give us a clear picture on how the rest of the three year olds not named essential quality are going to stack up for the rest of the year. How's it going. We'll we'll see you next time..

"In both of those were fourths one of those was in her first career start. The other one was in the ash where she was beaten by three graded stakes winners speech venetian harbor and on bhutan. All three of them are great statesman or so certainly not losing about horses. When she's losing. I i love the thought of her. Getting back. Out to a mile and a quarter. She ran a very good race behind swiss skydiver who is not losing that day. An you know. Bonnie south was coming from really far backs with scott didn't lead the whole way but she was just basically doing whatever she wanted to do in the stretch of the alabama and that was a very good effort for her body. South ran a very good second place finish behind her. Swiss skydiver was villa last year. Bonnie south had flashes of of really really good efforts and she is she only has one stakes when one race one Since she won the fairgrounds which was which was the race that everybody thought was going to propel her to the top of the philly division Did not necessarily do that but she has not run bad in any start really in her career except for he. You know you might make the case for the first career. Start of her career but aside from that she's been very good. I can't go against her here. I don't love anyone in this race. Outside of her. I can see reasons for her getting beat because she has gotten beat on the spot before races but she just looks to be in the best form Eric is going to take shot against her though he is going to be going with. Miss marisa the horse. Who finished ahead of her in the black eyed susan stakes. And now we're going to head over to belmont park. There are three graded stakes on saturday. At belmont park. All of them are very impactful to them. Great ones the belmont. Derby and the belmont oaks racist. We've been waiting for for a while and Unfortunately for the americans here these races are definitely very top heavy with europeans coming over a european specifically trained by aidan. O'brien and we'll start with the belmont oaks. Eric and i are both going to be going with santa barbara. In the belmont oaks. The favorite for the epsom oaks backing june. She didn't run to well there. ran fifth which was an okay effort snowfall. The winner of that race won by sixteen links. And you know. Santa barbara has run some good races this year hasn't been at. The oaks wasn't the greatest effort but she redeemed herself in a group one ireland where she finished in neck back of thundering. Nice who very nearly beat at the moment. The top turf mayor in america mean mary so certainly an effort that was redeeming of that oakes performance. And you know. She is still been very lightly raced in her career she. She did not run after her maiden breaking effort until the one thousand guineas which she ran it very good fourth-place finish there. She was a couple of nex away from being second in that race of certainly very strong for her. The oaks was whatever. And i'm willing to look past that. I think that this is a race that santa barbara is going to be able to win. Games mission is affiliate has been talked about numerous times on racing run out. i like her as evaluate underneath. I haven't spoken to eric about it. But i know that eric has been high on gam's mission for a while and i would imagine that. He thinks that she can run a very good race in the other horse. I like specifically in here. For value is serena. I used her in this race. The one reason that. I do like her as if she goes to the lead in here because her two best races this year had been when she's gone to the lead so hopefully she does that if not an oh well but the to vilis that i feel really confident about running. Strong races are santa barbara and gam's mission one final note ignore the figures with gam's mission. I talked about it. In the preview for the valmont oaks on youtube. I talked about it or both of us talked about it after she won the regret stakes to figures. Don't really look great on her but that doesn't really matter. We'll move on now to the grade. Three victory ride this really interesting race for three year old. filly sprinting. A sandwich in between two really good three-year-old grass races. This is all over the place. The favorite right now in the morning line is australasia. A really good philly for brad cox. Who has done some good running. She wanted a stake race on the sunday after the belmont stakes jersey girl. She's undefeated in her career. She's a louisiana brett. Lot of her runs. Have come against exclusively louisiana breads but her to starts Outside of the state of louisiana the churchill downs allowance race and jersey. Girl would both good efforts for her. However i have been picking favorites all weekend and i think that you know i. I've never been so convinced on australasia. That i think that she's an unbeatable horse so i'm going to look against her and the horse. I'm looking to is affiliated. Wesley war who for some reason is ten to one on the morning line. I don't really know why she's tend to one. She's undefeated on the dirt. Coming out of a graded stakes win at pimlico. She wanted to miss preakness stakes her allowance. When it keeneland this year office significantly off was a very very good effort for her. Obviously a greatest stakes when her one bad start was a turf race at kentucky. Downs and doesn't really look like this philly is a turf war. So i really like this philly in this race. I want to beat australasia. I think i have the horse to beat australasia with. She's coming out of two really good races this year. Eric also going to try to be australasia here. But he's going with the other louisiana bread in this race overcharged who won a maiden race at delta downs by ten and three quarter lengths in her most recent start one and allowance at monmouth park. The same day that gam's mission one regret stakes. She won that allowance race by five and three quarter lengths so couple phillies to take a shot at take. A shot against australasia with australasia has been very good but i think that she is beautiful and so does eric. So we're going to try to beat her in this race. And now we're gonna move onto the big feature race of the belmont stakes the closing saturday belmont stakes. There's one more day racing at belmont park before we go up to saratoga. But the final big feature race is the belmont derby and once again this racist headlined by a european. There's good americans in here but unfortunately eight o'brien is coming over here. What the epsom darby favourite. Eric said this to me that he can't remember a time. A non breeders cup race in america. That aidan o'brien has brought as good of an entrant. Four as he has these two races and bolshoi ballet is the better of the two horses. Bolshoi ballet was a big favorite going into epsom. Darby did not work out for him but he had some problems..

"That mandalit is going to have to win if he wants to be in that top category and really is going to tell us how good of a horse he really is this weekend. Absolutely you this is. This is really going to show us what we saw in the kentucky. Derby can heat replicate that performance. You probably just need to replicate Performance from a talent perspective to win the race but he needs to show that that he's a cop dogs in it can't be a win by a length or something like that he needs to dominate this race. To really to really prove that he's a great one resource because there are questions he didn't exactly you know he had his moments at fairgrounds. Prepping for the kentucky derby but he was never a top-flight kentucky derby horse. That's why i went off at such a price injury and then you know. He got a perfect trip in kentucky. I think that's you know full credits. Roj roof may not happen. But you know a good trip in the kentucky. Derby can go a long way. You know both negative perform but also covering up the fact that you might just not that was maybe just a one off performance not actually be that talented so those are questions that are going to be answered On on i don't think it's gonna be a thing where we're gonna be going forth from that you know wondering what she is either unless something crazy happens like you lose his rider. Something gets disqualified or is a radical something like that Easy they're gonna win by a lot and win decisively and we'll be like okay he can hang with with you central qualities in the hot rod. Charlie's or he's gonna he's gonna disappoint either you lose the race or only win by a half length or so we'll be like yeah. L. is a one off performance. He's probably be racehorse. At this point. It'll be interesting absolutely must union of because it's really just going to give us an idea how this division is shaping up the general with that being said. That's it for this we accepts. We'll come back next week. we're actually not gonna. We're going to take a break from racing next week are at least. We're gonna take a break from talking about racing this weekend. We're going to have some fun discussion points. We haven't decided exactly what we're gonna talk about on next week's episode but unfortunately we're not going to be able to do a royal ascot preview though that is upcoming next week. There will be some youtube previews for some of the better races. Eric will have a couple of previews. And i myself may find myself Find my way into doing one or two though so can check that out but unfortunately because of our recording schedule and the way that they do entries out there overseas. Were not going to be able to have a set in stone preview of it. So we're going to have some fun. Discussion points Next week and obviously talk about a couple of races from this week including the pegasus and also the couple of states that we didn't get to preview because of time and not wanting to wait for the entries for that. So we'll see you next week advocate one indefinitely make sure to check out our belmont stakes. Recap check out the royal ascot produce that we'd be coming over the next week or so and then also make sure to tune into the pegasus stakes because that is going to be one of the most impactful races in the next few months going for..

"Maybe it's a case of you. Know we were just overvaluing. Her racist down at the fairgrounds but top two in this race or definitely horses. That i'm gonna take on forward. Yeah and i totally agree with you. Search results and other very very strong. Win and i think one one thing about her. I don't know truly wants to. She's had some pretty impressive wins but she certainly does not seem like the type that likes to get away from other horses on the union. Go back to her win in gazelle on futures. Kind him green as they come down to very. I should say and kind of looking around looking for competition. So i won't do surprised that that something that's a appoint going forward and your next race. We see her. Make the lead and kind of idol Like she john at times on an england. Start to really realized She she is definitely figuring things out of the we. Aided as one of the few things you can kind of take out for him from her running that show you she. Not you know all the way there yet ned but at san time kind of also you talented. She is that she's overcome those things that she's doing at the same time and pretty new zealand's together really good second close into that was not there for her by apple inc. She's clearly found her niche going. One turn i think in you know race like the test are going to be a really used for going champion world there and all descendants. I'm probably way more often travel than jack is. That's just the oaks was was downgraded and this is just not good. I mean she she. She ran a guy that she did get him. one turn. that's not something that's ever been her forte So that could be but other than that. I don't have too many good excuses. travel call. and now we're gonna move onto race number six to jaipur stakes which race that if you follow me on. Twitter over on twitter at rundown racing was erase it. I predicted shaping out the way that it did on twitter but unfortunately my picks on the podcast did not bear out how the reason and shaping up casa creed was the winner. That and i put out a tweet a few minutes. Before posted casa crew was the value in this race. I thought about picking him. I wanted up going with your grand chant. Who is lot higher on the morning. Line interestingly then casa creed was because creed wound up going off at ten to one Gregorian chant a second choice industry so a very disappointing. That i went with the worse it was higher on the morning line and not the horse. That was a wound up going off higher in the race but at the end of the day cost secreta. Worst has certainly seemed to have turned himself around from some of his earlier races. Going back to last year rather inconsistent since His very disappointing run. On the frank hill mile has come back had two races at one. Turn both of them at belmont park now. A grade one winner. The elusive quality was the other one. So maybe it's a situation of loves belmont park back and find some not so terrible runs from him at belmont park on the turf was third place finisher in the manila stakes but that was not a short. He was going the last year racist. But even still we've seen a horse who has now won two straight races and could certainly be a horse that is a contender for for races. Going these one turn distances on the road to the breeders cup turf sprint You know there's some races up at saratoga. That i can imagine you can see him and just thinking of one off the top. My choice stakes. I would certainly not be surprised to see him. End up there and do some really good running because it seems like bill maher has found this horses niche You know you go back and look like i mentioned not terrible runs but not the most consistent but two straight wins. Which is the first time. He's done that in his career. So certainly something must be working for him to now have to st stakes wins in one of those being a great one. It and i thought these things belmont in post-race and said he wasn't afraid to short about even more. I think that that's easily something. You could expect aena concerned because we saw how good the torch danette around a mile distance Especially in a win win on the hall of fame stakes in two thousand nineteen He seemed like a tried and true. My other and even some good runs last year in twenty twenty but he seems really good. Church sprinter and acting is his pedigree. Kinda indicates that that you know down on so so that was really huge philmont. Also running two year was very big Chewing gum rented erasing. But he likes to run big races every time. There were a few horses. I don't know if they consider them. Concerning runs his turf. Sprints are always near but fast boat certainly showed regression from that when last time out at churchill inspires her spin gregorian chant. Guess maybe just against it. You bit much because these are some of the better sprinters in the country right now in. That's the big step up from what he saw at santa anita over the winter and then some by last in other words he regrets from that run at churchill downs on derby weekend so horses to keep an eye on bouncing back. I wouldn't necessarily toss them for many races breath. You know definitely keep. An eye on navy was distance. Perhaps that you were stepping up in distance from five and a half to six and we do know. These turks sprints even though that that gap from a five furlong five and a half on and in six furlong turf. Sprint doesn't seem like too much. It can really be a big gap for some of these these horses who are very stamina limited. So that's one thing to keep an eye on media cutback for somebody in fast will be a beneficial to them. But for now i think gossip creed you have to have a you know. Yuck looking only a positive mindset the chance to emerge kind of star and you disturbed in. Today's day self-discipline. And now we're gonna move onto the next race. The grade one ogden phipps in this race possibly could have produced another star in another division. That definitely is wide open at this point but i think it clouds the picture more so than it does anything else in this was a race was of course one by lotrowska who now at this point is beaten everyone That is theoretically going to be challenges in the breeders cup distaff. The only reason i say theoretically is because monoploy girl is out indefinitely. And who knows if she comes back but even still. She beat swiss skydiver in that apple blossom and she also beat she dares a double who in some people's eyes was going to was now with with the absence of memorial assuming the top level in this division I certainly did not think so. I think she a devil was being very overvalued going into this race. I think that her best run by their come because of rider error or races where she was handed the lead and was allowed to just coast along and do her own thing. And you know. Eric is going to have some things to say about the ride from florida ruin here. I'm gonna leave that to him. But i'll talk about luxurious. I mean every race in this division. Which is why i say that this clouds it more so than anything else. The winner of the race has more or less been handed the race on the front end. You know you look at. What skydiver did the beholder mile You know it's not like that. She really had anyone really challenging her for that race. Monoploy girl didn't have anyone to challenge her on the by a coa lotrowska. I don't want to say it wasn't challenging. The the apple blossom but certainly was able to run the race that she wanted to run. Definitely that was the case though in this race. No one challenge her for andrew. There was really no reason why he didn't go up and challenge her other than he thought that it would serve them. Best to not Maybe to not go up with them but at the end of the day you know the truth she she did her thing in the apple blossom so she certainly a good horse but i think this clouds it. Because i'm not sure how. Good la- truce actually is an. I already said that. i don't think she does. A double is as good as some people think she is. And we haven't yet to seen swisscom diver.

"The clock because cattle river. We learned from the rebel. He can't deal with. Not having a leaf is all judas. His winds up come going wire and then race has been on the leader. Going wire-to-wire us loss in. I think we learned that in the rebel in a you know unit in the arkansas derby when he was able to do that you didn't stick around and i know people loved him on the cutback and stuff like that. It was never gonna work out. I was something i didn't really understand. This is actually know. I fill out a lot of different intricacies from how the public that this race in that how it played out. Alternate clock Very impressive he certainly has all my attention. Going forward is noticed. You know plenty of good great states for him to try and tackle i do. We get to jackie's warrior square off. Again i mean they put on another fun show like they did last saturday. And now we're gonna move onto the next race on this belmont card. Which was the brooklyn steak said that this was the the only non grade one race on this card that was a stake race despite being a very very impressive victory for horses really coming to his own at this marathon division it and it's not really that a highly touted of division in the united states but there are racist horses can run out and there is a theoretical year end race. It used to be the breeders cup. marathon. I don't know if they're gonna keep calling it. The thoroughbred after karelian stakes. But it's going to be the marathon to us so you know if we were going to these me. I'm going to be saying former breeders cup marathon. And i think eric is going to be echoing. My position on that But anyway talking about the winner of this race lone rock like i already mentioned very very impressive race. There was a bit of a screw up and they did Stop the final time so it made people see mike. He was running only a second and changed slower than secretariat. If you watch the race and thought that was a bit odd definitely was a bit odd in that was in in the in the final time the final time ended up being two minutes twenty eight which was still a good time for winning a mile and a half graded stakes by eleven and a quarter lengths for lone rock. So you know. He's a horse. There are races up in new york. That are going to be for him and eventually there is obviously the former breeders cup marathon. That would probably be the target for him at the end of the year. Even though that is not breeders cup race still is a great at stake on one of the big days. And so you can imagine someone like robert diodoros going to take a shot at a race like that And tried to get him ready for that and also you know this. I just looked so good toward the end of the race. That you can imagine that he's going to excel when they get out to e even longer at it summarises even like talking about the bird stone stakes up at saratoga which is a mile and three quarter. So you can imagine that. There's some good things ahead for this horse and you know we'll see if he's able to maintain the consistency that he's shown as of late going forward. I imagine he will. He's clearly just taking it to a whole 'nother level of longer. He gets which is really interesting. Because if you look at this horse's pedigree there's there's absolutely no distance in it and that's kind of i think you know the of brad cox even a long ago when they were there running in you know meislisch races. I knew we ran in the razorback long ago. as a two year old so they thought he's no seven two a mile horse which makes sense given the pedigree but the distance races have certainly been his friend know. He's won five of his last six now so he clearly clearly is just on a on a really good track right now. Robert tino diodoros just all the writings with this horse in. It's certainly paying off jacqueline stall the targets. That being said. I think the two horses that ran second and third easily orces to watch going forward magician. Blue discharge He was really out of position. This is a horse that in his races in southern california has been on the lead But you know. I think it would stronger break. You probably beat lone rock but he he certainly able to Were net margin. So tis magician. Good look for. I know the cougar. Tunes is still at del mar. So that could probably be a nice spot for him. And then moretti who third. He's coming off that long layoff from last year when he kinda dominated this new york route series so definitely one to watch. Maybe a challenge are to lone rock in a race like the birds. Birth off the left to run that good of a third guy. You know hats off to him. And i think he conducted improve for next time. You're so that top three as impressive as lone rock was a tis magician. Ready no slouches. Keep an eye on them In this division. And now we're going to move onto race number five. Which was the great one. Eight in this race showed. I'm just gonna say this right now because this show is a a verified very pro mouth thought show this race four we get anything out of the way really validates. How good of a horse's mouth thought is but now that we have the the required mala thought mentioned out of the way we'll get into the winner of this race and that is that was search results. A horse who. I will make this point right. Now is going to be very very good and very very dangerous if she ever learn how to switch her leads You know you saw how good she was in this race and you know. She still been having that problem that she has. But at the end of the day very very strong horse you know that may have contributed to how well The second place finisher obligatory close in this rape spit even still though the top two horses or definitely horses. You can take ford. I think search results is probably going to be a little bit better. The longer they go you saw that in the kentucky oaks. I i this could be a position where people differ from with me on but i think the kentucky oaks was not a case of her not getting the distance and it was just the fact that mouth on his just superior than her. I think is like the coaching comerica. Oaks could certainly be the target for her. You imagine if they want to throw in taking his mouth again. Obviously you know we're both of us are gonna stand on that but that that would make sense for searchers odds for the next race. But she's a really good horse. And i also do want to mention obligatory ran a very very fast causing second once again. She did not get the pace that she got in the eight belles stakes at churchill down if she gets a paced run into. She's going to be really dangerous. So the top two horses certainly have things that you can put next to them. As two reasons that they could be better but even still really good horses their own right Some of the worst is it didn't run to well not really sure what happened with day out of the office. I would have thought that giving her that kind of a fraction she would have had a lot more to say in this race and then travel com She looked really good in the early part of the year. I don't really know what has happened with her. But it's not like the travel com ran terrible but it wasn't a very encouraging performance. So we'll see what happens with travel calm. Maybe it's a case of you. Know we were just overvaluing. Her racist down at the fairgrounds but top two in this race or definitely horses. That i'm gonna take on forward. Yeah and i totally agree with you..

"The centerpiece of said weekend. And we'll try to get to as much of the belmont card as we can today. Worse case it'll trickle into tomorrow show. But the odds. I thought were very interesting in the sense that you know. Central quality was two to one for a lot of the day and about ten minutes. Fifteen minutes to post. I think clicked down to ninety five I was During the triple crown races i was doing a zoom with a friend and their new urged horse racing and so we were talking about odds projections and kind of the well pays and double probables and stuff to kind of predict the ideal. Find and i was thinking that so. When we're doing that exercise. I showed them that. You know the double to central quality off of domestic spending. Who won the race prior which will talk about. The double was paid five bucks and you know. Domestic spending was a favourite but he was three to two. he wasn't like a crazy favourite. And so i'm thinking okay so you're getting four to one. Well yeah four four to one on the daily double three to two with a two one like that. Seems like maybe you know so. I started telling him i said so. According to the double wheel pays this price. Should come down a little bit and so i was thinking with so much money in the pool at the belmont. 'cause when we were having this conversation i think there was eleven million in the wind pool and i remember just thinking like can you know take a lot of money to kind of shift those odds to wear it looks representative of what the double will pace because the rest of the field at the time was pretty in line with what their daily double will pay was like it. It all looked right except for such equality and sure enough. The gates pop open. Ym down to sixty five so it backed up for me. Because i was trying to think of reasons to explain well you know. There's a lot of new money. Neophyte money there's a lot of fun money coming in. So maybe it spread around a bit more Some of these other horses in the belmont stakes Lot of times people will hammer favourite doubles. Maybe a lot of people did that. I'm sitting there trying to put and then in the end it all kind of shook up to be correct. I guess So six to five final price. You got on essential quality as your favourite hot rod. Charlie is the second choice nine two yet five to one on rumba or five to one rock your world. Six two unknown agenda right on the morning line. I was happy. Because i did say during the week that i thought essential quality would be like you know. I thought eight two five or seven to five but Lower than the to online. That's not to knock david. Because the rest of his line was pretty great and he's way better at it than i am. But you know we're all. I don't wanna say competing with the morning line maker because we're not but we're all setting our own price lines right and it's a skill that we wanna keep getting better at and and i think it's an important skill to try to keep getting better at But like i said. I such quality i thought was going to take a little more money than the line in any did and again not to crow every time. I say that feels like. I'm like validating myself but i'm just to use the example of how important it is to try to get better at predicting uram line where you think things are going to fall anyways. All that being said a mile and a half a showdown in the belmont stakes and courtesy of nbc. Sports here's the call from larry calm thanks belmont stakes rock your world. Not come out all that well again today. Hot rod charlie sector the brunton rock your world..

"By twin spires happy monday. June the seventh to you all getting ready for my little mini trip back home. We have We race grants pass today tomorrow but then we have next week off because of the oregon fairs and so i'm gonna go home for nine days. Go see my mom and family and friends. And i think i'm going to go to emerald downs next week for. I believe the first time since twenty eighteen so very excited about that and looking forward to this week's guests and shows and obviously we'll talk a lot of belmont park and belmont stakes day on today's show looking back at the weekend I got admit. I thought from top to bottom a pretty enjoyable day at belmont is far as you know. Viewing from home at twinspires.com thought. We had some good performances. Thought we had a couple little upsets thought. We had a couple of You know we had a great showdown for stretch battle in the race. It was I thought overall a fun day and you know big days can often of course bataille in everyday honestly can be of course tied to you know our results at the windows or our favourite horses how they do and stuff like that You know i guess. I'm as soon as possible. All that stuff is as everybody else's but for me personally. It was a fun and satisfying day. Thought i had some good opinions on the day and you just enjoyed the experience of belmont stakes day to twenty one. I guess there was eleven thousand people. There is some reason. I thought it would be more than that. I figured they would allow a greater crowd may and maybe they had a certain limited. I just didn't pay attention. I guess i was expecting more than that. Because we're seeing so many places now opened up to full slate or near it Watch the hockey playoffs. And i know florida's different beasts than the rest of the country but like you know they're jammed the gills at the tampa bay lightning game which i have to be lightning fan now since tampa guy but anyway so we'll talk a lot about that three new guests to the show this week all of which. I'm very excited for dr patti. Hogan is gonna join us for tuesday's show equine surgeon she's operated on you know smarty jones and a lot of very big names in the in the world of horse racing but thought it'd be fun to talk to her not only about that and her career but just kind of bracing animal medicine in regards to race horses and And all that. So i in a little different. Maybe than what we normally do. But i think you guys are going to really enjoy it. She's a great interview to which always helps and looking forward to that. On tuesday show wednesday. I feel we have had most announcers on the show. But we have not had the voice of hastings. racecourse longtime voice of hastings racecourse. Dan yukichi is going to join me on wednesday. I've known dan for. I don't know fifteen years fourteen years or so. I used to have this great picture. And i had framed in my booth at portland. It was me robert. Geller and dan djukic canada three voices of northwest racing guys when i was portland meadows and Dan of course hastings in robert at emerald and somehow the picture got lost and dan's the only one of us. Actually i guess i'm still in the north west. Even though grants pass closer to california than it is washington. I guess i'm still still here. But looking forward to talking to dan. In talk a little hastings hastings running mondays and tuesdays. Right now they actually kinda run with us at grants pass. They run at five. We started five fifteen and so. Ideally we were kind of this little northwest connection on mondays and tuesdays. So we'll talk with the dance yucatan. Wednesday's show horse player thursday. Alford gonna join us al coming off a win at the lone star tournament and so we'll talk some horse racing and handicapping with With al on horse player thursday. So that's what we got coming up this week The jury of course will be here friday and we'll get reflections on the big weekend from the boys at james and scott. I'm sitting in here. I use a I bought a really good mike for the show last. Oh i guess it would have been february of twenty twentieth right when the pandemic will start to maybe march and i love it. I think it sounds better. I want the show to sound good. And i just bought a new mike for in person guest interviews. I think with being back east more. That is gonna lend to doing a little bit. More in person interviews. There's obviously very few guests that we're gonna have on the show that are you know. Inner around grants pass oregon and for that matter in and around seattle. But when i'm back east everything so much closer together. I'm going to when i go to tampa at the end of the month. I'm gonna spend a week down there. But then i'm going to spend a week at in louisville and. I thought it'd be fun to do like some in person interviews and louisville. Told ed i'd probably do a longer. Sit down with him and you know maybe try to rustle up some some other churchill folks or or something like that but i wanted to get another mike to have impersonality then for c. When colonial starts Jessica pocket. Who's going to be my co worker down there. I thought fund Are staying together down there. So i thought it'd be fun to maybe have her pop in and out once in a while on the show and so i thought it would be good to have a second good mike so that way i can do in person interviews. We haven't done many of them over the years. I just i mean. I know ashley may you. I interviewed in person at forty wally. Hennessy i interviewed in person inside the pylons i interviewed in person and we just used a single mike between us so he's sat very close but really it hasn't been something we've done that much of and i do like it and i did it with gabe to at Down at department pompilio park. I do think there is something to be said for looking someone in the eye and making it a little more conversational it's probably easier for to be conversational for me too. Because i am looking at the person in end maybe does feel little more back and forth as opposed to the traditional interview so investing in the show. that's what i'm doing investing in the show but anyway so the weekend of course belmont stakes the centerpiece of said weekend. And we'll try to get to as much of the belmont card as we can today. Worse case it'll trickle into tomorrow show. But the odds. I thought were very interesting in the sense that you know. Central quality was two to one for a lot of the day and about.

"Gonna know top the turn whether we're right arar is he executive he's a you'll have an idea like okay. This is tough to catch right now. I think you're gonna know top of the first term. He really honest. I really do. Because isn't he kind of one of those it's like he's he's one or two ahead of mulan comfortably and it's like oh or he's behind the it's like yeah l. the other way if somehow the if somehow in its horse racing right If somehow you arrived on the lead or believe or the japanese worse in iraq or roads like behind and can't quite get there or whatever like That's not great. Like i feel like if he's not in the lead. There's a really big issue here. Let me like you're saying in talk about it last night with with owners in in trainers with jockey like if there's one thing you've got gotta know the salaries sellers get him lead. I don't care how fast you run into the league. Yeah so he's not on the lead. I feel like you know the something wrong but was not an iran's again question for you guys so obviously rock We know hot rocks. Best opportunity to win is on the front right there. Is there a scenario where those to allow just it up and essential qualities setting. Everyone thank you. Yes i think that's i think i i think okay. Yes but i will appropriate with that. I think pratt will if he since the pace hot. I do think he will have enough sense to kind of pull it back a bit. You know what i mean. I think pratt being on hot rod really elevates him but yeah. I mean it is possible. Because they're two horses that are are talented. Our good horses win candidates. They're not rabbits Rabbit in good horse will forget about the rabbit right. But they're two horses of the definitely are solid winstons. I communist Will not get speed. You'll but it's possible in the horses. Sometimes jockey kennedy and the about it. They get competitive out there in athens of i. That's kind of my thought process on the quality. I do think he sits in like third spot in since it's a mile and a half the pace will you know. Even if they're going fast fast is slow for half silver normal race so he has ability to sit off them a little bit closer so we i mean it's possible it's definitely possible i think with that was a terrible answer with pratt. He he's real. He wrote him once before back when he was a maiden on the turf even But the always vitamin the kentucky. Derby and the back. They've media was like yeah. I'm going back. I think he probably learned a lot about the horse. Like how wearing used to run with him. He odyssey was off the pace a little bit that day. You look at the illusion. Derby he was on. I think he's going to have an close for sure A horse like. That's why i like no matter what the pace set up is. It's like he's just gonna keep running. These are trying ores The way i kind of it sits up her at the perfect for such ball. Because you gotta think hot rod and even the even the source in rocker row and such a quality kind of gets the pocket trip there and then they turned for home he can you know science can just come off mount and go that's that'd would be ideal gonna get perfect trip inside a rolls amount in runs down bill the rate or download the drag coming home. I think he gets perfect trips into volley. Let me ask you something. Because jerry clements may in iran bauer might be right there with the youth they burn it up early so rob our has been coming from further but pratt put him in the race. Last time outright any was he would sit about where you would have visited us. Interpol maybe a bit further back on much. That mental move. That pratt made in. The penis was huge so the two questions are one kenny kenny. Run that sil- again mile and a half and still have the burst. And i think the answer is probably maybe not for all of us but to will johnny v. Clayson were practising because all of his other writers have not done that. So i think that's interesting. I think losing The biggest thing is we'll johnny v willing to place in that spot but braxton you also have to imagine that were taught i mean yeah. Medina's spirit was in the race but we're we're some speed. We've gotten serious Players in this. Like ron bauer. If he's gonna try to run that close ideal. That is so he's kind of no-man's-land essentially where it's like. Well if you sit him off you're not. He's not going to get there if you if you're close to close the pace with running with quality writing with hot rod running with rocker world then may have left at the end of the race may talk about a mile half race. It's hard to have anything left anyways but let alone have that pop like ron. Bauer had pregnant seahorses. You always say every year. You need to be close. You need close because it's hard to make a crown that stretch. I mean you think about creator who was dead closer that one he made up ground rapids higher rates. It wasn't just one burs down until the deal like the last bit of the wire he made ground the add to thankfully for for you us. That was huge young yet us. Yeah you don't see horses like like a cop close more of a grind line. And that's why. I love the issue here. Because he's got that grinding a building. If you want the best this came to my head. They're probably better. Ones are the best example. This watch that would have been. My number was two thousand nine. Wash my network album burrell very early on that bird in his hot like he. He makes up win. Oh yeah and then when he gets to the stretch flags up so if you do have a voice. That has a pop. You've got a time it just right because there it's gonna be like and then it's over you're going to see a i mean i imagine law like with rondo. I do imagine romburg mccarthy when he gets a horse right there. They tend to run if you raise really well. I imagine ran a good race. It's just see that pop and then that's it you know he had so also Ultras done so he. He's he's he's over now. We'll we'll use that as a sign that this week we've talked this through. Rocks gets the rapid fire but Halter neier both on essence. Wally and all is on rock. Your world to go gate to wire will be at the belmont so if you're going to be there look for us in combined. Drink the bang on ice over there. we're going to do a little bit of wrapped up doubts rapid fire. Oh sorry for the guy. Just be our our three. Your other favorites. The undercard obviously is awesome. We're going to go through our three Lock it up. Well i'll give you this. Lock it up. Titles and happy to go. I wonder yet thanks. It said makes you so excited like you. Oh mark says a summer birdie that he say what some bird was really good horse really good horse out you know made for the belmont that was that was him. Naeema name another horse. That trainer ever train those needs in so that is another sign. I don't know tim is in. He was really nice. When when i when he was around but to. My didn't have a whole lot excess. And he's what he's doing out in where he's at but sign like that works for me i guess you heard oaklawn surmise fifty horses to about over the next guy you know. "Race. It's just a matter of how where i like. Both those horses are like your ninety percent the board contenders and no doubt. I think paul really set it in a really good comment. you know. they're going to be there. You still know. If they're gonna hit the wire i but you know they're going to be around it's just a matter can get their first but you don't have to worry about them running up the track not showing up. And that's i mean that's important in in any race is at least okay here. My worst says that. I can kinda hager around. They might not win. But i can get them in the second and third spots right Let's talk about. We'll talk of plays a little bitty nine a little bit but the horse that i think attacks you when i was going to the the race and really going into in depth man. I hate that rock. Your world is in this race. Because he's the wall. I mean it feels like the derby all over again. Where is really it is because the derby is line through it you. Can't you take anything what you saw from him. In the derby in obviously the ninety two price shows at the belmont stakes. That you that you can't do anything from that derby and take that reward because we still don't know what he is now. We all thought he would get to the lead in the kentucky derby at the very least challenge medina spirit. That didn't happen. He breaks or lead the race over from star. Now you have a field of eight draws post seven. There's really no reason he can't get to leave here. How concerned are you guys scale. More ten that rocker world's gonna wire this film. I'll start So it give you a little preview. On on whom i pick is i would say a ten. I think i think this is course that. If if there's gonna be some someone absently again he's going to too. I think this price might even float up a little bit. I think said poverty since its money are deftly hodson and take some money. So it's price might float up orbit if there's a horse that would scare you. If you're in the essential quality. Rob our hot rod charlie brown. It's gotta be you know. Not only is he the speed so he's going to go to the front he's gonna be out front but this or if you look at them and if you look at. His breath is bred for this. Andy reid avenue in tiremaker mirror mirror. He's all that is just the question is does he wanted the thing that has to concern if you're fan him is. He didn't run in a lot of steph. The end the beginning was a disaster form but he just throw in the towel right up so does do you get the santa anita derby rock your world or even be kentucky derby rockaway. That's the question that's what we talk about a lot after the show or after the race on on the after show. It's like some of these horses that didn't not difference since like break. Obviously you're on one was terrible position but he ran me. Tried you try. You know like Midnight bourbon he tried. He wasn't good enough but he tried but rock arose is like i'm done. This is not. i'm not doing. This is so that's the issue is if if for whatever reason one things. Don't go another fall phil but say he misses the break again or whatever gets bombed or is he done and that's the fear for him is because you have to either use him defensively or you just take a stand and say you know what i'm gonna let. I think you might have be on offense. Yeah so the yes. I played in defensively in pick fours and fives. But i did not blame on exact in france so they candidates basically what paul said. If you're worried about one horse it sin we. It's the same horse that came into the kentucky derby. It's coming into the but we don't know anything about him right. It is far. We don't know who he is. We still know you don't want him to go. Well at least you got some experience. He didn't get anything out of that race like i don't think he got experience would be. He broke poorly. He had a sydney a Got dirt myspace and then he finish like six and it's like well. At least he got under his belt. He must be a non-starter in the race. Like was never a factor the whole time. So it's the same problem that we have for the derby that we have here hate that yet if he runs. Sandy erase got a great shot. And i think paul. And i know our buddy ryan slim amp amateur sake about to fall immediately was like belmont. The source can win the belmont. Even if he doesn't win the derby this worse off because great running south bama and the pedigree and he's writing it all well and you have a guy like john sadler. Who isn't necessarily like going to ship horses across country on a whim like for him to be like does complete disaster in the kentucky derby regroup la times. You'd say well we'll just. We'll see the source of del mar necks or whatever no. He is shipping back over to to belmont tells me a lot that okay in any also think. Even though it's a decent amount of time between the derby he'd do all right the dirty so you should be a pretty fresh horse in that bullet. Were glass timeout. Suggest that what do you think as questions here you know does a japanese or soften them up or say That's a horse. It's at least last time. Out of previous showed some speed early and has shown past also Trolley his win was gate to wire and he kind of kind hopes that we would see your world in this race. Because i was hoping rod trolley is his my thoughts were charlie pace enough for him he will lose because i just feel like he won't let anyone by. So how do you kind of see the paste in you know. Where do you see them as they hit. The you know the backside That that's always an amazing thing about the the belmont is there in the turn in the half is out already. You know insane. Like you're like oh shit into i remember. That was because you're obviously the whole time you're waiting for gets the finish line and you're like oh my gosh the not even through the attorney then there is the so. "All right adam would agree time of year man. I mean everything go moved back so th this month amaze been insane. Absolutely month may was crazy in june. I of things left to be decided here as well and of course you know college football and nfl season win. Totals are ready. So those markets are kind of ramping up. And i believe i actually saw today on twitter. We are one hundred days away from the start of the nfl season. So it's coming quick. No to that end we actually did Division odds and season win total videos. Nato that i also coming fast absolutely put up all four afc ones here over at our. Ats youtube page today. And we'll go up tomorrow. So keep an eye out for those from brian over on our. Ats youtube page run. I know you're a hockey guy and we had a couple of interesting results last night. The islanders are getting back into the series with boston series now tied at one one and montreal pulls off the upset. They come back from being down three two one in the series to advance and beat the toronto maple leafs in seven games. And you know what's really interesting about this. Is you know we've talked about this on the show. It's been a long time to katy and team has won the cup. A canadian team guaranteed to be in the final four with the way. This playoff format is designed. I don't really think that they expected it to be montreal. And winnipeg playing for spot in the final four though. Well i really liked winnipeg against edmonson. I didn't. I didn't see a sweep coming but i really did like winnipeg the montreal series. I know we had talked about when it started. I said it'll be a lot closer than a lot of people. Think that you know prices such goaltender and it's a fresh start in the leafs goaltending and defense suspect at best and i liked winnipeg to win the series. I thought it would be a lot closer for montreal. And i honestly i didn't see him the win when they were down three one but boy the said after chance chance in price just frustrated. The heck out of those series to where you know i mean. Hockey is very much a team sport. And you get a lot of role player guys at scorebig goals and all that kind of thing. But you're the biggest thing for toronto in that series. I mean mitch. Martin are did. Very little austin matthews. Got off to a good start in the series. Didn't do a whole lot in the second half that series. Where of course montreal won three straight games. That's the thing. I'm you get the role players that contribute but your stars half to be the guys and when you look at some of these teams that have advanced mean tampa bay all their star players doing everything you get some of these teams that do advance and the stars are at the forefront and toronto stars just were there and now you sort of wonder going forward year you know what. This team does because offensively. They're fine on the back in their questionable inject campbell for the most part played very well this season as their goaltender. Maybe they found something there but you wonder what toronto going forward here you know. I don't know how they jump. Start those star players in the playoffs but you know mathewson martyr had to do more in this series to close it out and they simply did mathewson monitors or taking such incredible heat right now and you can rack up all the points you want. Honestly you could say the same thing about connor mcdavid. You'll win hart trophy after hart trophy at some point you know he said yeah. He needs a supporting cast at the same time. If you're quote unquote the best player in the world and mcdavid case or pretty near the top of the list. In matthew's case. I mean shouldn't there be a game or two in a series that even if supporting cast. Isn't that good that the guy gets goal to assist puts the team on his shoulders and win the game. You would think you would certainly think so. And of course we'll see what happens with toronto as we go forward here but Before we step away from the north division that seriously. Montreal winnipeg begins on wednesday night. Here winnipeg of course sweeping edmonton. That was a outcome that we didn't really expect to see here in this postseason. I mean obviously you know winnipeg winning. The series certainly possibility sweeping the series. That's a little bit different. But now this winnipeg team hasn't played since may twenty fourth on the other hand. Montreal spent a lot of energy to get back in that series and win that series against toronto. So game one coming up here on wednesday night. Winnipeg taking the money off the opening line up from the minus one ten range to minus one twenty five. What do you think about game. One on wednesday night between those two at what do you think about the series as a whole. Wow you got prices. Playing at a great level and heloc bug is capable of doing really good things. Don't sleep on winnipeg's firepower up front shy flea is. Maybe i think you can make the case the most underrated player in the nhl so when a pay some firepower upfront. Montreal i think has the edge defensively and the goaltending i would say is a push. Although carey price currently looks like kerry price of two or three years.
