"Have a very difficult drive going today, Colleen, a couple of different places of first of all going to start with those of you trying to get out of Pierce County. Not only do we have the normal, heavy slowing on the northbound five drive through Tacoma, but we have about a 20 minute delay from Tacoma to federal way because of this three mile backup heading up the hill out of fight. Past the scene of the crash near the truck scales, which has been over on the right shoulder almost most of the morning. So deal with very heavy slowing mayor sticking in Pierce County eastbound 5 12 is jammed heading From Canyon overthrew South Hill and then down into the Puyallup area. We have heavy slowing on the Valley Freeway heading up out of 4 10. Give yourself about 44 minutes to go from Puyol up to rent it now up in King County, the North Bong. Five drivers got about a 4.5 mile backup from South Centre to just after the Boeing Access Road. The crash that we've been dealing with here has been blocking the HIV lane and the left general purpose Lane for the last little bit. The left general purpose Lane has reopened, but either way, we're backed up solid in a 20 minute delay there, too. South Centre to Seattle is running at 40 minutes. 55 minutes all the way from federal way. So the I five work down corridor is pretty well messed up this morning. The rent of the Bellevue drive looking at about 40 minutes. Right now, that's about average across the lake. We're good. However, coming down out of the north end. We're really jammed up trying to get through the Mill Creek interchange through the Lynwood split. What we had is an earlier crash on four or five southbound just after the I five ties into it there in Lynnwood, and that's backed this up onto the I five corridor as well. So give yourself 45 minutes for both effort to Seattle or ever to Bellevue. So today is a legit back to school. Cut the drive out there for everybody. So Take it easy. You're going to probably be delayed where you're going. Car radio. Real time traffic on the threes. I'm Chris Sullivan. Thank you, Chris. For your weather, it looks like we're going to have a gorgeous day. Just like yesterday. Wasn't it shockingly warm yesterday. 80 degrees for today, as.

"And that now includes Covid shots on Wall Street. The Dow was up 51 NASDAQ ahead. 75 We go to Cairo Radio, Real time traffic Here's Priscilla. Even Look at that. Major delays northbound I five as you work your way out of the federal way area on up into tuck Will the crash that started all this appears to have cleared right there at the South Centre interchanged with 405, but we're backed up eight miles and we're looking at about a 50 minute delay. Still, it's an hour and 10 minutes from federal way to South Center and an hour and 40 all the way into Seattle. As you would imagine. A lot of people have failed and gone down to the Valley Freeway. That's why it's so slow out of Auburn, running at about 30 minutes now into the renting area, which is a 15 minute delay because everybody is so stacked up there. The rent of the Bellevue drives running at about a half an hour or less, so it's actually pretty decent. They're now coming up out of the Tacoma area. We're running at double the normal travel time from Tacoma up into federal way because of the response store rolled over car on northbound five right at the rest area. It's not actually blocking the freeway, but it is blocking the off ramp to the rest. Area and truck. Stop there, so Be prepared. "To our list of slowdowns. The four or five stretch north found around sunset that's bogging down a bit. We're losing three or four minutes there and kicking up to about 18 minutes on the rent into Bellevue Drive the Valley Freeway. It's standard back up this late spot in the 5 to 6 hours as you come north from 1/80 up to four or five of the four or five slowed down other seeded that far south yet Pretty much the usual situation. They're going through downtown Tacoma quite heavy. Still, that should ease up in about the next 15 minutes, But we're still losing about five minutes on that, and suddenly we must be losing close to 10 on the federal way to Midway segment just north of town That's gotten really heavy. That'll put the federal way to Seattle Drive time up to probably 36. 37 minutes. Valley Freeway Heavy, of course between few elephants, Sumner a number of public transportation issues this morning. The ferry is it was 4 50 Berman to Seattle sailing cancelled due to a cruise shortage and the six o'clock Seattle Bremerton sailing won't go either. And the ferry Yakima, delayed by about an hour and 10 minutes on the San Juan route and link light rail service, temporarily unable to serve the northbound platform. At the University of Washington station. That's because of some sort of obstruction on the tracks, apparently, and everything's on the southbound platform. For now. That's also at Capitol Hill. I'm already a real time traffic on the three. So I'm Harvard Shape. Covid 19 Vaccines are now available to everyone 12 and older to schedule an appointment. Go to vaccine. "CBS News brief from Wendy Gillette. 7 43 time for Cairo radio. Real time traffic with Chris Sullivan. What's it look like that? Well, I think it's fair to say that we are back to the pre covid kind of commutes that we were getting used to before the heat wave. Kind of put everybody back home for a couple of days. I mean, we're looking at 55 minutes now from federal way to Seattle, and that's just volume. 35 of those minutes are from South Centre into downtown, which means you're hitting the brakes right at the beginning of Boeing Field, and you're kind of on and off from all the way up into downtown. The rented the Bellevue Drive Right at 40 minutes again. It looks like a typical Wednesday from just a random day in 2019. I mean, just look, we're back. I think that's fair to say. Again heavy volume from renting all the way up through 44th, the Newcastle and 20 minutes from Auburn to rent in about 43 all the way from Puyallup to come has been pretty quiet this morning. Right now. It's not as bad as you might expect, especially on the I five North beyond Dr Eastbound. 16 has moved 40 minute trip from effort to Seattle or effort to Bellevue. Not quite back to pre pandemic levels, at least on the I five South bound drives out of Snohomish County. We do have some slowing coming down out of Mary's. Well, I told you guys about that for the last half hour paddle, it'll stall and crash over on the right hand shoulders. You came around the corner from 5 to 8 in Marysville leaves in about three minutes, probably on that whole drive from Arlington into efforts. So really not that big of a deal, car radio, real time traffic on the threes. I'm Chris Sullivan. Taking a look at your weather forecast. Today. It's going to be partly cloudy. 82 degrees is the high tomorrow is going to be more clouds but 79 degrees much cooler going into Friday and Saturday, where things warm up to the high eighties 63 degrees currently outside of the Carter Subaru Studios. "And I'll still keep the mask in every pocket anyway. It is 8 54, and that's time for real time. Traffic Here is Chris Sullivan. And we continue to see the heaviest slowing center right around the rent an area by far. The heaviest part of this is the ripple effect. The North found 167 drive backed up for two miles now from before the Valley Medical Center as you try to make your way up north, um 167 and tie into the rent and s curves in 405. The reason this crash is still over on the right hand shoulder on four or five north beyond before you get to the Maple Valley Highway exit, so it is stacked up to four or five corridor is all the way back before. 167 So both of those drives are running behind 10 minutes on the Valley Freeway. We bumped back up to 20 minutes from Auburn to Renton. And then the rent of the Bellevue Drive is still at about 33 minutes. As you work your way through the slowing there. The rest of the map is great. Despite some of the light rain we have out there. Everything seems to be going along pretty good 30 minutes from Olympia to Tacoma. About 37 from federal way to Seattle still have some slowing at the North end and then ever to Bellevue ever to Seattle. Both of those drives are chugging along right where they should be. 30 minutes, So all in all, we've had a pretty good Friday, and it's just to take a little bit longer to clear things out there and rented car radio. Real time traffic on the threes. I'm Chris Sullivan. Still light rain. Most of it again is from Seattle West, and that moves in over the weekend, so we will have a fairly wet actually, Most of the witness seems to be scheduled for Sunday..

"It comes to homelessness and the after effects of the pandemic, and what's what we talked about on yesterday's show about people who just don't feel safe in their neighborhoods anymore, And that's not just Seattle. That's everywhere on this guy. Thank you, Hannah. You bet. 7 24 real time traffic here is Chris Sullivan brought to you by the Emerald Queen Casino. Get while the getting's good out there because we're in between peaks and the volumes is starting to rise again. So now would be a very good time to get out. I gotta start out appear in the Snohomish County area where we're still hitting the brakes. Right around the Everett mall, and it's kind of often on annoying all the way down to the Lynwood split. Then we have slowing through Linwood on I five, and that's certainly a lot more slowing on South Bound four or five right through the 5 to 7 the interchange there in Canyon Park. So ah, little over 40 minutes from ever to Seattle or Bellevue's a little behind right now, so be prepared. If you're coming down from Snohomish County. It's not gonna be his light is you might anticipate. The rest of the Bellevue Drive also got him often on depending on volume. You're looking at 30 minutes now to make that drive. You hit the brakes right there, 167, And you continue up to about 30 at the Newcastle before you really break free out of the auburn area. Still 20 minutes real time. We're seeing the heavy slowing. Continue all the way up almost into Kent out of auburn. So give yourself about 42 minutes to go all the way from Puyallup. Up into renting the drive there through the Sumner Interchange is not as bad as it could be. But we're starting to add volume there again. Federal way to Seattle about 40 minutes of the slowing there in the usual places up towards the Count De Moines throat and then more from the middle of Boeing Field right now is a good time to drive through to coma. The I five corridor There is not as bad as you might anticipate. This report brought to you by the end of Queen Casinos Player's club opened up a world of exciting perks all month long on Lee at the Emerald Queen Casino, the entertainment capital of the northwest. There's also some fire assistance, so that's going to be a bit of mess for their that general area on four or five slowing more. Now that you come down to vaulted from Danson Road. This traffic brought to you by Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup, still up a rise up in Snohomish County. At this point bases we're looking at the slowing getting out of the basically the South Devon area As you work your way down. We've had a couple of crashes. Today. Right around the Lynwood split, They're both clear, but either way, the damage has kind of been done. We're up over 50 minutes from ever to Seattle. That's 15 15 minutes behind schedule there and because all of that slowing is before you get to four or five people heading to Bellevue are going to be stuck in that as well. And that ever to Bellevue Drive is running at about 45 minutes. That's about 10 minutes. Slower than it should be, As I have said 10 minutes ago. Once you get through that it's gonna be pretty decent the rest of the way down to your destination. The rented the Bellevue drivers not bad. There's heavy slowing here, and they're kind of one of those often on days. At least right now we're kind of in a lull of volumes before the second Peak really begins here in about 10 minutes, so that would be a good time rented the bell Be running at 30 Minutes Valley Freeway. Not too bad now, either under 45 to go from end to end, with some slowing here and there throughout that overall, Dr Federal way to Seattle is picking up a little bit more so slowing there through the tent, the mines Road So we're back up to about 38 minutes there to make that drive across the lake were good. Today We have more people out on the roads right now in the Olympia Lacey area and because of the conditions down there with redo have packed snow and ice in between the lanes and even in some spots, and some of the lanes themselves on I five. We're starting to see very heavy slowing in both north and south bound directions of I five right around. Marvin Road, which continues to see the South bound off ramp blocked but also Martin way as people are trying to get off their so expect to see some significant delays in that area. But based on the conditions, the further north that you are driving getting out of that area, you should be out of most of the stuff that's on the roadway by about the north End of J B. L M. And then after that, it's going to be a pretty good Dr. Looking at about 30 minutes to get you from federal way into Seattle 30 minutes out of the north and as well, the roads up there, actually, reasonably dry, didn't get much snow last night, or even much precipitation at all. Looking at the rented the Bellevue Drive. It's quiet on four or five north bound under 20. Minutes, 35 minutes from Puyallup up into renting the 167 corridor. Very lightly traveled, though. Also 35 minutes from effort into Bellevue North out I five still sees the slowing from the north end of Boeing Field into downtown. We still have all of way closed from North Bound I five that off ramp has been closed for a while now. Looking at the rent of the Bellevue Drive about 35 minutes there is slowing through the Esseker is and then more over the top of I 90 and downtown Valley Freeway continues to see some slowing getting up into the Pacific area. But getting better Valley Freeway also still very slow Getting through offered. Give yourself a 30 minute trip from Auburn to rent and that still about 20 minutes behind schedule. That's because of all the diversion we took from the I five corridor from this long term crash. You can trust real time Traffic 803 Here is Chris Sullivan, and we continue to see a relatively normal Friday light kind of drive around the region. There still are a couple of little pockets here and there where we do see some slowing. One of them is on the four or five South bound drive as you work your way down through 5 to 7 there in the bottle area, But overall, it's not too bad. Still 35 minutes from Everett's Bellevue ever to Seattle, also about 35 minutes, we're going to see the slowing there right around 44th, the Newcastle, the Valley Freeway. Still not quite completely done. We have some slowing getting up past 24th, which is actually making 14 up from 4 10 there in somewhere a little bit slower than I'd like. We're back up to 40 minutes real time. There's also a little blip in between Auburn intent. The rent of the Bellevue Drive, though you will pick up the pace there we are looking at 20 minutes there. The holidays, of course of past us, So that means it's time to return to construction closures. And so there's gonna be one every weekend. Chris tell us what we need to know. Maybe not every weekend, but pretty close to it, and every overnight there's Lord knows there's enough work to be done. But we're going to start about talking about what's going on this weekend, and they're a couple things you need to be aware of North bound by five and Mountlake Terrace. Is going to see the biggest impact. They're all lanes. All north bound lanes are going to be closed each night for sound transits work on light rail toe. Linwood contractors are putting in some preliminary false work over the North bound lanes, which will eventually be the base for the bridge for where the trains will cross the freeway. We had a similar closure late last year in the South bound lanes. Now it's the North bound lanes turn. So about 11 o'clock tonight. Tomorrow night Sunday night, the North bound lanes are going to close right at the Edmund's exit there. That's highway to one of four closure extends up to 2/20 and Mountlake Terrace. Driver's gonna be detoured around 29 99. The lane should reopen each morning around. 6 30, speaking of 99 Sound Transit's going to be closing both directions of the road in Si Tak. Move some equipment for the federal way. Light rail expansion. This closure is from 8 P.m. tonight to about 1 A.m. early tomorrow morning, So just the night time tonight thing to deal with, and there's some bad news for more people suffering from the closure of the West Seattle Bridge. Lower Spokane Street Bridge, which is we know is the only straight shot out of the neighborhood will be closed for a few hours tomorrow to everybody, And this includes the roadway and the pedestrian bike path. Closure starts at 8 A.m. and should last until about 1 P.m. cities inspecting the bridge and the mechanism there that connects it either ends. They're doing some repair work on that as well. So a little bad news for everybody trying to get out of west Seattle tomorrow. It's gonna be a little Difficult until the early afternoon. Well, as long as it keeps it operating. Thank you. 8, 53 and traffic. Here's for Sullivan. And we're finally really kind of winding down on what has been an overall Friday. Like kind of day. The late weather push really kind of kind of messed things up the last hour so but overall not too bad, I mean, finally, the showers have moved out of the five corridor and 167 corridor in the Years County area, So we're back down to about a 35 minute trip from Puyallup up into renting so pretty good there. There's a little hesitation through Pacific but not too much to worry about the rest of the Bellevue Drive's still chugging along in about 30 minutes, there is slowing to get through legitimate slowing through the S curves before it eases off. Better way to Seattle is looking really good now, 30 minutes real time there on that drive and back down to under 15 minutes from South Center in Seattle. So even the late slowing you get the into the heart of downtown Seattle is moved out of the way out of the north, and we're still looking good ever to Seattle ever to Bellevue, looking at 30 minutes real time across the lake. We're still doing great. Nothing out of this A quarter out of the Redmond area. So all in all, we made it through a pretty good Friday guy Radio. Real time traffic on the threes. I'm Chris Sullivan. And the weather. The just in case you hadn't heard by now the computer is predicting a snowflake of mine is just a single snowflake. There could be more coming along with it. For.

Well, Actually, they have opened up the eastbound directions of 5 12 through the area, but you can't get off it Steal street Westbound 5 12 is backed up about four miles because you are being forced to exit at Pacific Avenue. So the bigger backup certainly in the westbound direction, But it's putting up enough smoke that people in the eastbound direction is certainly noticing. All right. Thank you. We are seeing heavy slowing on the rented to Bellevue Drive's still and heavy slowing is we probably just being a little conservative there. I mean, we're looking at under 30 minutes on the drive. Now the federal way to Seattle drivers really good 35 minutes or less. There is you work your way up. Past the West Seattle Bridge. You will see the slowing there out of the north end just a little blip of slowing on both five and four or five. As you approach the county line and a 32 minute drive from ever to Seattle or ever to Bellevue looks like North bound 99 still very heavy trying to work your way up towards the First Avenue South Bridge. And it looks like where you are doing a bridge lift on the first half of New South Bridge right now, I know not a very good time to be doing that during the morning commute, considering that the West Seattle Bridge itself is actually closed and First yourself Bridge is really one of the only good ways to get out of the area. Good news is to coma Looks really good. This report brought to you by invisible fence not far off dot com. Invisible Fences, Brands boundary plus.

These would be good. Though that is a pretty good sandwich. Yeah, Okay. It's traffic time. Yes, and we are still dealing with the slowing on westbound of 5 12 is to try to work your way out of the pula Perry. It's getting better. But the reason why we're so slow is a truck flipped over is over on the right hand side in the ditch, and it's a very visual distraction, obviously, but we're losing Never significant time is your heading west over the Lakewood into the I five corridor. Fortunately, everywhere you go after that you will be picking up time because it is super quiet everywhere. With the exception of the rented the Bellevue Drive's still running in about a half an hour there, we still have to clean out a little bit extra volume that runs up to Newcastle. Overall. 30 minutes ever to Seattle or Bellevue, about 33 to go federal way to Seattle across the lake. We're good. No issues out of red, murderous squads. So all in all hasn't been a bad morning, sky radio. Real time traffic on the threes. You're not gonna solve this problem. Ari Cohen, who runs the Post Prison education program, a 23 It's time for a traffic report. Here's Chris Sullivan. Well, we're still dealing with a couple of places that haven't quite given up the heavy slowing and one of them for certain is that North bound I five drivers. You're trying to make your way from the north end of Boeing Field right around al grow in the Michigan Kirby gets really slow. And I'm talking really slow bumper to bumper there is you work your way past the I 90 quarter. I'm not sure if we have something right there that I can't quite see from the cameras. But It gets pretty heavy, and you've got about a 30 minute trip still from South Center into Seattle about 10 minutes slower than it should be. The good news is, you won't really hit the brakes at all from the you know the East and it's come all the way up to that spot on I five so 42 minutes all the way from federal way The red to the Bellevue Drive's still very difficult, but it's getting better. It's thinning out. So more red on the map than black, which means you're do kind of have the feeling that you're moving somewhere. 35 minutes from rented to Bellevue was not too bad compared to where we were earlier out of the north end. We've come back down to 30 minutes or less from ever to Seattle or Bellevue. I mentioned Pierce County has cleared out nicely. Olympia to Tacoma is quiet to coma itself. Really? Not all that bad at all. 16 is quiet from gig Harbor across the Narrows all the way into Tacoma. 5 12 is not bad, even if the West and as you're trying to go west to I five in your quiet on that part of the Valley Freeway as well, Kyra Radio, real time traffic on the threes. I'm Chris Sullivan. I see sunshine, but not until Thursday. Actually, for Christmas. I got one of those controllable WiFi lights have seen those. No. You plug him in you down. You.
