Harvard Profresor Ruth Wisse on the Significance of Writer Saul Bellow

"And I'm talking to Ruth wise, longtime Professor of literature at Harvard, now at the tikva fund, Ruth thanks for joining me. Let's talk a little bit about Saul Bellow. You knew it's all Bello. I never met Saul Bellow, but my longtime editor was his son Adam Bello, so I've gotten to know the father, so to speak through the sun. But you would agree what knew that Bella was one of the towering figures of literature in the 20th century. Do you agree with that and why? What is it that made him so important? Well, he's certainly important to me because he was my favorite writer long before I met him, that's partly because he comes from Montreal, which is where I grew up. So it was very homey. But it's also because of the kind of writer that he was, he came on the scene, I think, understanding that literature was enormously important. And I think that one of his insights was that the world was becoming more disjointed that the consciousness was being torn in a hundred directions. Well, if it was that way in his day, you can imagine how much more so it is in our day when there are so many things bombarding you. And so I think that one of the things that he felt was that the novel could really provide the most entire picture of what our human experience is through the prism of an individual. And in his writing, that individual is very often a kind of solve Bello. He doesn't choose he doesn't choose to write about a person who's different from himself, but rather some projection of himself, so that it's always a very erudite person, a good person, basically, but struggling with difficult

I was afraid of the recession. Because i can just about remember. I had my business plan. I had my branding am. I wasn't really aware that the recession oh icon. Oh what. If i couldn't i just went for it. And i think it dawned on me two months in. We were in a recession. I can remember that. I didn't Why also remember which is due to the to the time now. it's the role of entrepreneurship and being an entrepreneur. And i was a true entrepreneur because i was adoptable unflexible. And when i first saw it out a lot of people do not know this. I was an image console and a lot of people. Do not know so. I try business image consultant. I go a few client but for those no image consultancy fee. It's extremely high. A one hour to hour fee literally start thousand pounds That's the begin this way and you can go up to ten thousand. It's a very expensive consultantcy. Vote and then. I realized i i might need to diversify hair and i fell. This was a good stafa because it got me going and learning my mistakes and i then fell into the world of networking. I'm bill a huge international bland as the networking goo. I'm not lychee. Walls form a negative to a positive reason being. I wish twain so hard in the recession unaware that cash flow and people's expensive so tight people just about do tesco shopping. So who's gonna think about an image consultant valley. The uh on the back end of fat cells were the mission on. I had exhausted all my marketing. At that time. We didn't have facebook that time. We didn't have instagram. The thing we have. And i know you'll notice it. Shows the rodeos e economy. That's a long long time ago. Penny power had to me and if you remember it was slow as l. on on mismatch in but the fact he's they were the first to the market to a certain extent for lincoln carina. They need to get a lot more pop. So what happened the transition to networking with very entrepreneurial as well i had exhausted. All my internal marketing. Whatever i had. I had a zero budget. I didn't even have a website. Everything was word of mouth using my own skills of image consultantcy looking professional Then i kept hearing this thing called networking networking and i kid. You not for a whole month. I procrastinated because i had no clue what network you more in those days. When you win onto google this would have been out two thousand nine. If you put network can always put network like computer networking networking A large firm. You know so. I didn't know it was. I didn't know it was. And i believe me up to palm had originated so i would see me up and i was a bit away. I mean it's like anything if you don't know something you might be a bit scared. Oh fearful of it you know. And the only reason i went to my first network. Then we say this word in new york being buji if because it was ilk so tower base. I could feel comfortable. Could you be the console in your first impressions. It's how you look. So i thought okay. I don't know what this network news but one good figures. I couldn't look good thing. Is i'm gonna good and i said to myself. And this is a how i have been consistent with networking back has grown. My business stumpel three times phone. You all representing yourself. The moment you go in and it's almost like you're advertisement issue on name. So i said if i to well i just want people to know my name. And that's what helps. So i'm going to this. Networking event. now didn't have a clue. I'm i just went with flowed. She liked jodi. Come you know. Fake it to you. Make it. You know and i remember like yesterday. Today there were eight or nine people so you know i'm just trying to think this is social some tower. It's not business. You know and same thing. I tell people today. If you're scared of that working just go with it as a social. Just take it easy. You know then say five minutes into it. This is a two story. This chop chop he passed me on my shoulder. Morton name and he said to me you could use because interesting because obviously the skill that you have as a network really leads onto way you are at the moment there for a second a -olutely so they had me on my shoulder and filling kentucky. I'll give you shares. You need says might be taught me on my shoulder. You good on you and when you watch like amazon film of slow motion we goes so. I'm muslim philly looking to you could the other than you know you have to give yourself back confident in business. You have to go with it. And then i say oh then and i- kit you not. That is literally how my networking speak business thaw it from that day then i said well. My dad used to say practice makes perfect. Then i would go number network another network but we've my tenacity. I would go to like to network events today. Someone change and i was just keep practicing the who did for years exit way going to pose there one. I want to ask you now is. How have you managed to transition from your effectively. "So let's talk about zack wilson. Because you mentioned him and watching him lose twenty five to six at home to the patriots and bill ballot check and bill. Bella check destroys rookie. Quarterback's he consumes them. He picks their bones. That's all stuff that we know already cleans. His teeth with the bones of rookie quarterback is what he does but we saw jets fans alex. You know throwing in the towel and it's week two. And i say that because they were literally throwing souvenir tales from the stands. And zach wilson. The four picks. I'm curious about climbing into your memory bank here because what do you. Alex smith remember about playing the colts back in two thousand and five pablo. I've definitely tried to forget this one all right but we're good. I do remember my first career. Start the number one defense at the time and like the colts were in their heyday. Payton was rolling. But that defenseman dwight free robert matt Bob sanders. i mean it was. It was a joke and yeah. It's all a terrible blur for me. Like four picks i think my rating was it like it was a disaster but i think that was a clear design i was i just turned twenty one. I mean i played only two years in college in a spread system now trying to plan their center. Probably this become this pro quarterback whatever that is and It was not good. I was definitely i. I felt unprepared. And it was a disaster and it showed. You've been a guy who had a four interception game really early after being a top. Pick your the number one overall pick of course. What do you counsel him. Hypothetically what do you stay to him after a game like this if you were to visit him. Alex smith kind of like a ghost of christmas future. What do you. What do you tell a kid who's very talented but also just had a day like this. I think exactly that. I mean i think you gotta go like for me. I just go to the third and fourth picks that he grew and pause before the snap and look look like jack. It's ten to three on this one. It's in the third quarter we got. There's a ton of football left. There's no reason to throw this ball up The way he did and then even the second one in the fourth grade. I mean i think it was thirteen to three. At that point. There is still time. Left like again I think going back to just doing your

"Joe Shop Stall. Fox News, a top Democratic lawyer. Uses a massive dark money network to push voting rights so called and restricting lawsuits across the country. A setup that a government watchdogs say will provide nearly unlimited funding. Marc Elias, who has become one of the most influential liberal attorneys in Washington, recently departed the Perkins Coy law firm to start the Elias Law Group. But he did most of his dirty work in my opinion while he was with this firm Elias is firm will focus on electing Democrats supporting voter rights and help progressives make change, according to a Perkins. Cam Newton vs. Mac Jones: Where Patriots QB Competition Stands

"The other side. I it's a more interesting. Quarterback is a quarterback competition in new england. What is the sense. You get the dynamic between cam. Newton and mack jones. Yes quarterback competition. We can call it that cam. Newton is the starter plated limited amount of time against the washington football team. And then as you mentioned mack jones and it's very important not only to listen to what bill bella checks says but what he does and what he did was put back jones out there with the first team offensive line for a couple of plays at the end of his at the first half against the washington football team and then he had max jones run the two minute drill the no huddle offense and that he did with command and obviously precision and they were very impressed with that but right now what he wants to see what bill belichick wants to see and he said this the other day he to see the whole team but particularly the quarterback play faster react faster execute faster and what better way to do that than enjoying practices with the philadelphia eagles and then a preseason game on thursday night but yes there is a competition and we'll have to see how this goes in the next couple of weeks but my money is on cam. Newton starting the season and mack jones quickly getting up to speed and pushing cam newton for the starting job.

We're Sorry To Say It, But Thin Brows Are Coming Back

"Well a few weeks ago. Bella hadid wall thinner more arched brows. She was going to con film festival. She was wearing that black dress. You might have seen it with that gold lung like necklace. And she's never had really bushy brows but have browse with china and more sculpted than average browse. This spot more conversation in the beauty world and thanks to all things nineties trending at the moment which you'll see every way thin- browse are actually back. But don't worry we're not talking about that pencil thin sort of one hair. And that's all you've got weight is talking about more of an odd and more sculpted and coveted confirmed it. They interviewed new based brow expert. Joey healy and he said yes. It's influenced by the nineties but what we're saying is a bit more structure so instead of that boy brow that was really beacon straight with stray hairs everywhere. We're just seeing more sculptured more lifted and he says the trend is partly to do with the pandemic as well so after every year wearing mosques. The focus is back on the. Is we sean. This last week's episode with lana tren but because we're not saying the lower half of the face. People are really tending to put more emphasis in more effort into the upper part of the face. And that's with more seen sort of sculptor browse when we say the and we just mean fina then really thick. We daren't mean really really thin erin now. How do you feel about that much better. Obviously when i wrote about it hurt. My soul's took me ages to grow out of my butchered thin browse. I have naturally quite thick brows. But i think it's really good. Because i don't think everyone falls into that kind of bushy brow- car delving category so it doesn't mean you can't find a trend to match your browse since ted if using product after product to kind of fill them in and make them really bushy. I think it's great to see a trend that kind of encourages people to work with what they've got. I agree and to be honest. I was never going to have that. Really bushy-browed look it just wasn't possible with my brows eyed thin them out too much and it just wasn't what i had so i've kind of gone from eighty brow with a bit of lift at the art because that's what suit in my face so suddenly i'm on trend and i didn't even try. I mean show my brows nee doing in the pandemic because they haven't been done for quite a while but i'm all for this and i'm also you know what who cares about trans. Just do whatever suits you face

Is Processed Food Making People Angry and Stupid

"Heireann droop wrote here host of the green podcasts. When it comes down to what we're made of so much of it is about food. Food literally builds us brick by brick cell-by-cell that means what we eat provides. The building blocks that make up the entire body which means unfortunately for a lot of people. They're made up of junk. Our poor food choices gravely impact our brain health resulting in behaviors. That leave us. More lonely anxious depressed illness prone and more overweight than ever before my guest on today's minneapolis owed doctors. David and austin pearl mutter and shawn stevenson talked to us about how our health our relationships and even our thinking have been damaged by our western processed food diet. They discuss how our lifestyles and diet. Impact our brain function and our ability to make good choices as well as how we interact and show up for our relationships. Let's listen in starting with my interviews with doctors. David and austin parameter. I want to read a passage from the book. Our are being gravely manipulated resulting in behaviors. That leave us. More lonely anxious depressed distressful illness prone and overweight than ever before. So we talked about those two aspects which is how do we help and support people to actually make these decisions and implement change in their life to achieve to achieve whatever goal that they wanna focus on. But let's start off with what is actually hijacking. Our brand that. It makes it difficult to do. So can you describe the landscape landscape and the state of threats that our brains are under today. Sure we'll start with one of the most important and probably most straightforward of the its food. We need food. We need to eat food to keep going. But what is it that we're putting into our bodies. A recent study showed that sixty eight percent of the foods that people eat and buy in. The store have added sugar. We know sugar isn't really a good thing for us but the question has to be. What is it doing to our thinking. What is it doing to our brains and is the question that i think were now able to answer but we haven't been looking into nearly enough. What is sugar doing to our brains. Will sugar fosters inflammation which listeners know is not good for the body. Chronic inflammation has been implicated in variety of problems. Things like heart disease. Things like alzheimer's disease. What we're understanding now is that inflammation this process that sugar up regulates changes are thinking. So let's let that sink in. It's not that it changes are thinking in the long run. It changes are thinking right now. Inflammation has been shown in several recent trials to bias our decision making towards short-term impulsive thinking so to put that into context if you're eating a diet that increases inflammation you're going to make more short term or decisions like eating diet that increases inflammation choosing the wrong foods to be eating and that transcends just diet it gets into other things if you're somebody who struggles with all nine shopping. Now you have a diet. that increases inflammation. You're going to be picking the short term reward and that means your your shopping. Cart might be filling up online with things that you don't need so again. Food is one of those entry points. It's something that has been made incredibly palatable over the years and while that means it might taste good. We need to appreciate that. It is activating these circuits within our bodies within our brains that are making our decisions more impulsive more short term oriented and in the big picture taking us away from the decisions that will lead us to health and will lead us to happiness and let me add Before we move on from food and because it is It is a very important topic because we recognize that in a simplistic model there to areas of the brain. That are involved in decision. Making the prefrontal cortex which is the more advanced area. If i may and the more primitive if i may amid della and you know there's a balance between the two we tend to With inflammation unfortunately have more input from the primitive and magdala and as such are decisions are not really looking at the future as opposed if we can reconnect to the prefrontal cortex and that is the area of the brain that allows us to participate in a process of thinking of the long term consequences of our actions today s to be more empathetic. It allows us to be more compassionate has to tamp down this sense of us versus them. That comes from the amid bella. So we're trying to reconnect to the prefrontal. Cortex and in a as per our discussion of food and inflammation inflammation absolutely threatens that connection and i have to say that A thought came to me this morning while in the shower some of my best thoughts come to me and shower and having read the new york times this morning they had an interesting article about what's going on in brazil with reference to deforestation the amazon. Not a good thing. I think most people would agree with that but that said what has happened to the thought process around the globe. is influenced by the globalization of the western pro inflammatory diet. That as this western diet a finds its way to every corner of the globe. It's changing how people across our planet think and behave

"First time podcast. Guest longtime listener mark silverman. Espn one thousand co host of waddle and silvy two to six every day on espn. One thousand. I am going to go and i had a list the other day on the show of seventeen quarterbacks who could be hat or who could be on the move and out of all of those if i have to pick one. I'm going to go jimmy garoppolo. I believe san francisco's in a position. Right now where they have a really good thing going and they want to replace jimi g. since he's been injury prone i think you can get jimmy g. for cheaper than he's been whether he's caught you could sign up for cheaper free agent deal. He may want to go back to new england. Maybe bella jack doesn't want him but ryan pace eastern illinois guy also Fellow good-looking guy. Just like with trubisky could veer that way as well. So i'm going jimmy g. And as a close second maybe gruden gets rid of derek carr and the bears would trade for garrett car but those are my two if you force me to pick one. I'm going with jimmy garoppolo.

Gigi in Wonderland - Vogue's March Issue Cover Story

"She's perfected the art of living in the spotlight. But motherhood has opened digi hadeed up to a new world and a new set of priorities. I'm khloe mao evoked contributing editor. And this is g. G in wonderland knew that i have that animal in me says gee hadeed relaxed. In bright. from december cold the twenty five year old model is astrid colored quarterhorse named dallas. And telling me about the birth of her baby in september here at her home in bucks county pennsylvania following a fourteen and a half hour labor at her side. Were her partner zane. Malik her mother yulong to her sister. Bella and a local midwife and her assistant when you see someone do that you look at them a bit differently. I probably looked crazy actually. She says a giggle tinged with pride. I was an animal woman. Mallet cut the baby. Click that she was out says gee gee gazing forward through dallas alert ears as we plod through the upper fields of harmony hollow. The farm owned by longest boyfriend. Joseph goalie a construction firm ceo. I was so exhausted. And i looked up. He's holding her. It was so cute. She's in a cropped long as puffer stretch. Czar jeans and warned black riding boots and looks like neither a harried mother of a ten week old nor paparazzi ducking supermodel with her hair roped into a smooth bun bear face and tiny gold hoop earrings. She resembles mostly her teenage self. An equestrian who showed jumped competitively while growing up in her hometown of santa barbara. California what i really wanted for my experience was to feel like okay. This is a natural thing that women are meant to do. She planned to deliver it a new york city hospital but then the realities of covert hit particularly sequestering here ninety minutes from manhattan and the limits on numbers in the delivery room which would preclude yolanda and bella from being present. Then she and malik watched the two thousand eight documentary the business of being born which is critical of medical interventions and depicts a successful home birth. We both looked at each other. And we're like. I think that's the call. Gd says they placed a blow up bath in their bedroom and sent their three cats and border collie away when the midwife expressed concern that the sphinx and maine coon felines might puncture the tub with their claws. Malik ask gee-gee what music she wanted to hear and she surprised him by requesting the audio of favourite children's novel the indian in the cupboard. He downloaded the film because it was one of his favorites too and they spent the early hours of labor watching it together. That's something we'd never talked about. But in that moment we discovered we both loved. Gd says bash family. She then tells me that malik. The former one direction star turned solo artist. Who has famously press shy and declined to be interviewed for. This article likened his own experience of her birth to align documentary. he'd seen in which a male lion paces nervously outside the cave. The lion s delivers her cubs z. Was like that's how i felt you feel so helpless to see the person you love in pain. Doom dula malibu high classmate carson. Meyer had prepared her for the moment where the mother feels. She can't go any longer without drugs. I had to dig deep. Jichi says i knew it was going to be the craziest pain in my life. But you have to surrender to it and be like this is what it is. I loved that you'll monda and the midwife coach through the pain there definitely was a point where i was like. I wonder what it would be. Like with an epa darryl how it would be different jichi frankly. My midwife looked at me and was like you're doing it. No one can help you your past the point of the epidermal anyway. So you'd be pushing exactly the same way in a hospital bed so she kept pushing. I know my mom zane. Bella were proud of me but at certain points i saw each of them in terror says she ducking under a leafless branch. Dow also who've sucking in the muddy terrain afterward z and. I looked at each other. And we're like we can have some time before we do that again. The baby girl named kai digi revealed on instagram in january from the arabic for the chosen one was a weekly. She was so bright right away. Gd says adding that. The baby's heart rate stayed consistent throughout the labor. That's what i wanted for her. A peaceful bringing to the world. Kyw's world has so far remained small. Her mother rarely leaves the bucolic corner of horse country where the hadeed put down roots in two thousand seventeen. Malik bought a nearby farm. The shoot for this story. In early december at a studio in manhattan was the first time g g had left her daughter since birth yolanda took over caregiving duties even bringing her granddaughter along to feed the miniature. Ponies mama and mccoo. Gee-gee has no nanny no baby nurse. None of the traditional celebrity crutches of new motherhood during our interview the baby stayed with her father and zan's mother tricia who is visiting from england for a month to help she decided to completely take care of the baby alone says yolanda odd. And i think that bond is so important. The dutch former model turned real housewives of beverly hills. Alum was my welcoming party. When i arrived at the farm booming. Hello her arms wide on the threshold in. Camo print puffer and boots. I'm proud of her face on magazine but seeing her give birth was a whole other level of proud yolanda says you go from looking at her as a daughter to looking at her as a fellow mother. The natural transitions and generational shifts of new motherhood are at play in the household. It is a family happily influx on the sprawling. Thirty two acre property. The handful of cottages are designated for different siblings. But this summer. When g g moved out of her cottage into zan's house bella and brother anwar graduated to larger cottages leaving. The smallest is a guest house. We're still close by says she but we have our space to be our own little family. She hosted thanksgiving dinner for the first time this year with zero mother cooking the turkey g g. A prolific home-cooked herself made banana. Pi and baked yolanda favourite tatham. Bella occurred over stuffing and spiked apple. Cider in the kubota tv g g got her christmas tree early for the occasion dressing it with personal ornaments. That she and malik have exchanged over the years. The most recent being glass nintendo console a reference to a favor quarantine activity. I decorated fully. Without my mom's help. And i think i did her. Gd says they are tribe publicly known for their closeness yolanda the doting den. Mother gee-gee the fresh-faced protective older sister. Bella the edgier veronica deejays betty and aloof baby brother on war joining g g and yolanda in the kitchen for latinos and cinnamon rolls before a horseback ride eyewitness. These rules confirmed. Yolanda has the sink drinking a smoothie and finishing gee-gee sentences when she grasps for word g g threatens to have a connection if anwar eats her cinnamon roll when he ambles out of his cottage. But motherhood is a new phase and it will be up to g g to decide whether it belongs on the silhouettes of social media. I think she wants to be real. Online's as bella twenty four by phone from new york city but until her child wants to be in the spotlight and can make the decision herself. She doesn't want to put her in that position. Bela who splits her. Time between her. Soho loft and the farm and facetime with her niece and sister every morning says she already enjoys reading books. Aloud that jeeves to read to her including the rainbow fish and the very hungry caterpillar. It's pretty nostalgic. Bella says it could be argued that we are all hungry caterpillars this year cocooning and comforting with hope of emerging bright winged vaccinated g. G wants split her time between her condo and no-ho and the first class cabin of airplanes when lockdowns began she had just returned from walking fashion shows in four countries and discovering. She was pregnant on the other end of covid. She will emerge as a mother. Happily headquartered in rural pennsylvania. Still a supermodel. But one determined to lead more secluded less peripatetic life. I always want to be here fulltime. She tells me. I love the city but this is where i'm happiest furious. Speculation and countless think pieces have attended the question of what this time will mean. Will we slow down flee cities for less frenzied. More mindful life in many ways. Gee-gee the bodyman of such ideas. The sheiks glamorous version yes but also a person drawn to reassessment. It feels like now. I'm in a different place in my life. She says and she does seem genuinely at home

Why 10 Super Bowl Appearances Won't Satisfy Tom Brady

"Hey thanks for joining me man. Good to be here. Seth wicker sham is a senior writer at espn and he's covered. Tom brady since his rookie year in the nfl. Words with you. Seth you are. Espn's resident. tom. Brady you've been covering brady for nearly twenty years. I believe at this point. You're the first person to report. That brady was looking for a way out of new england back when that was on thinkable and honestly kind of dangerous to suggest in the boston area. But your piece out. Today ahead of. Tom brady's tenth super bowl in tampa bay with the buccaneers. It actually begins a decade ago back in new england. What happened a couple years ago. I was in tom. Brady's house and we were in his living room and he was telling a funny story about bill belichick. It was a saturday morning meeting before a game against new york. Jets and bella. Check was watching film of mark sanchez. Running out of the pocket rolling to his right players it is heels and he had a wide open receiver about sixty yards downfield on the opposite hash. So that's an almost impossible. Throw to attempt. I mean few quarterbacks ever would try that throw even fewer would complete it and the way that brady told it to me. That ballot check was just watching the play unfold and he was like just throw it. He's wide open. Why isn't sanchez. Throwing the ball and brady's little thought bubble was hilarious because he was thinking. I would never even attempt that throw. Do you have any idea how i would look in. Tried to throw that ball. And meanwhile checks just like can't get even more open. He can't get more open. Just throw it in. The way that brady explained to me later was very interesting because he said i see each play within my limits at the time. I didn't really see the significance in that statement. But when you watch. Tom brady now aged forty three years old and the entire sporting world asking how. He's done it how he's been able to get another team to the super bowl. I looked back at that statement. And i found a lot of answers in it was brady frustrated with ballot check. Invalid check suggested as much. I wanna get deeper into. Brady's thought bubble there. I think he thought it was hilarious. He he saw it as a defensive coach who had no bearing on the reality of how difficulties throw that ball. He wasn't frustrated with ballot check. He was like a little amazed that bella check thought that that type of pass would be so easy i mean. That's that's a john elway throw. That's josh allen throw mahomes through. There's very few people who could ever even try that and here. Ballot check was talking about mark sanchez. Saying he's not going to get more open than that. Just throw the ball. As kind of an indictment on the quarterback where brady saw it as you know something that was hard to believe. Couldn't believe that that his coach thought that a throw like that with that easy. And when you look at tom brady look at the arc of his career. He's someone who's kind of always understood his limits and by understanding them so well he's found a way to transcend them so those limits that he has this keen understanding of and that being this superpower. It is something that we can. Plainly see in contrast to josh allen and john elway and patrick mahomes and lamar jackson. These absurd physical talents. And that's been clear set ever since we saw brady with shirt off to be honest at the combine in two thousand but because he is also the greatest of all time without real serious dispute at this point playing more super bowls than anyone ever by far at to ask if you fully buy his explanation that that superpower is in fact and understanding of his own limitations. At first i didn't. And i remember. I was once in his house in two thousand thirteen back when we thought he was getting old. 'cause he was going to be thirty seven when the season started. And you know he can't play forever and he said something really interesting. He said there's nothing that will be able to replace football. And hopefully it gets to appoint where there is when i retire in nine ten years and he said it so offhandedly and so smooth that it was it went right over my head. It was a shot across the bow. Here was a declaration to play until he was aged forty five and he someone who has made a mockery of conventional wisdom. And so i thought there is no way when he said that that he was someone who learned how to play football within the scope of his own limitations. But as you watch him play you actually see it on the field. And i think that it helps define him as a football player because he can't do what aaron rodgers does. He can't do it. Patrick mahomes does these sort of amazing acrobatic throws but what he can do and what he's always been able to do is pick apart a defense and bleed teams to death. And i think that that's what he was getting at when he talks about playing within his own limits because he's so deadly an accurate when he throws short.

Tom Brady Praises Bill Belichick: ‘Could Never Have Accomplished The Things In My Career Without His Support’

"Does brady's that. He made a super bowl this year in his first year. In a new system in tampa. Does this prove that. He was the main factor in the patriots dynasty. And i'm not saying. I didn't have a ton to do with. He's obviously a great coach. But if everybody debates between the two is say brady was more responsible but of the two of them than bella. Check this seal it or do you feel different. Did you read having dollas quote. Yeah we decided place at the patriots way is really tom. Brady's way i've in thirteen of course salads and and anyway don't pay. I think there's reason though for what amendola is kinda tongue-in-cheek but think about you know. He wasn't doing this until he got tom. Brady and i think. Tom brady learned a lot from bill belichick and he he did. He said that today he said today that i give so much credit to bella. Check for teaching me so many different things but the dry that tom brady has is implemented throughout the whole organization especially the players and the play on the field. And you didn't see that this year in the same token and i think that is a you know and i'm not gonna give you know Tom brady all the credit bill. Belichick does take some of that credit but players make the system. Come alive and when you have players like tom brady. Who's a generational type player. He does make a difference and he wants everything to be a certain way and he's gonna demand from his players to play a certain way to be a certain way in the locker room and on the field and it showed it show when he was with with new england and it showed this year being

Gardiner out there. This is the duty of. Real life. So we're going to start in. When she knew. She. WANTS LAWN I don't blame her. After the big rains, we really seen some girls here with seventy degree temperatures and we're really shifting. Seasons here in it's. It's a really good thing. We're actually going to get a workshop in here in a couple of weeks. You're. Alright In. What we? As, it warms up here. It's an interesting time where shifting with Belo. We're GONNA. Talk about in today's podcast. Bella, we just got done recording and we're doing it live on instagram. We started a couple of days ago. We're recording. Live on instagram because a new thing I. Guess it goes to our. Which is nice for us because it stays forever. Ben is actually recording as well just filming like normal which we will use turned into one of our be good series videos the biggest series if you are new to the dog wound podcast bell good series is. One specific dog that we're training for a client. We've documented Oliver Training up to this point or most of it filmed I. Don't know how many so far eighty plus videos. The regular. They're very. Casual candid on edited raw. You see the good, the bad, the ugly it's. It's how we typically do it here so and there's plenty of ugly. But so part of that whole conditioning is GonNa be. Incorporated, but we're also keeping it separated on instagram for social platform stand from a social platform standpoint. It'll probably end up being a youtube thing because we got a lot of different videos that we've done condition and hold conditioning becomes one of the most commonly asked or commented or message thing we get here. I'm looking to questions today that I responded to this morning was at six in the morning. When was it six thirty eight? One was at six forty eight. Was At ten seven so I, did three in a row and these via email. And all three of them are related to hold conditioning and so one of the things that. We. Are doing we just started with Bella is whole conditioning? She's a little over a year now and one of the things about her. Let. Just let's just start right here, so the question was. Just recently got myself a black lab. English and American mix I was. Curious how early you start, hold conditioning, my pups eight weeks old, and already retrieving in sitting and stain. Should I push a little faster since he's picking up everything so fast? Thanks again now that's there's a few things there that we'll talk about, but one of them is the hold, so my answer to him was to be honest I used to tell people you know you don't. We don't do conditioning until after they're done teething and that's true. I don't formally condition. Until the you guys. Go lay down. Now we got dogs wandering in. Up on Ben. I don't. Start hold condition until after done teething. That's formal, but what I used to not push enough and didn't realize that it was literally interpreted that Oh will then i. don't have to worry about it until they're six seven eight months old and it just because they get done teething. That doesn't mean like okay now. There's a switch that we have all of a sudden devote condition conditioning for me is dictated by behavior dictated by some of the trends that we're seeing the dog so as issues come up. That can dictate Bellas being Bellas. Whole conditions been dictated by her. My inability to stand any more a little bit of a bad habit that she has. It's not terrible, but it's bad enough that I'm just Donald. We're done with her coming in so hard and hot that she has to fly and run around and then come back to me and she comes. Comes back right away and she circles around quickly relatively quickly ninety nine percent of the time there is that one percent of the time where she gets out. A little bit gets a little excited. I gotta get on a little bit to get to me I. Don't WanNa. Do it anymore at all I. Want her to come in a under control and be. Right in front of me, so I wanted to become more efficient. Of the delivery I'd never have an issue with the drop in short and never ever an issue with a running off. Those are other symptoms that can be. Corrected by this process. I don't have issues with blinky. Dummies and not pick them up doesn't run out to pick them up and then drop them and go off to do something else, so those are all. There's lots of different symptoms that whole conditioning will help you with, but the reality is one. Do you start? I started to mention this guy I started from day one I. Think you should start keeping in mind. The idea of this is coming. When you start making your first retreats, and that's encouraging proper delivery, it's encouraging and setting up so that they don't have the opportunity to do the other things. They don't have the opportunity to run away. They don't have the opportunity to run laps around you. They don't have that opportunity. We don't set them up with games like tug of war. We're all of a sudden. It's away and it's a lot more fun to have dad chase me with something in. In. My Chase Saddam was something in their mouth. We don't play tug of war and then try to catch them so if we don't if we avoid all these issues early, it creates a much easier transition process once we get into it. That's what we're doing with bell right now, and she's a little over a year. So for this guy. The answer is you start now now. The rest of his question I will touch on because I think it's important. Seat occasionally not as often, but you know I'll reread it. My pup is eight weeks already retrieving sitting and stain I. Don't want burst this guy's bubble, but no, it's not. It might have done it up little. It might have done it well for a week, but it's not doing it, and it's not time to move faster, and it's not accelerate in my answer back to him was absolutely. Do not push any faster regardless of this pups you know. Lebron James Type. Ask like that's so I always tell people unless you have Lebron James. And there are very few of them like look at the look, professional basketball and there's one of.

And that was like one of my proudest moments is our story because I didn't know if it was going to work and went like in work beyond what I it made me. I always tell the listeners. And I've explained to Dave that Vince is the easiest person in the WWe to talk to. What was your relationship with Vince? Like and do you agree that he was extremely easy to talk to so I definitely I mean. He's definitely intimidate. You do scare you go and I know why a remember you forget how to talk properly. But the thing you did feel ferment. Is He appreciated when you did come in with either ideas to pick his brain and Kunai like we were the girls around? You'd see us waiting outside the door. And you'd have to wait some heads our like. Oh Gosh rarest era. But every time we sat down with Bennett's it was always a gentle conversation. I mean he definitely yelled at a time to grow up and that was scary but to actually sit down and we always watch out of there either understanding or story with bigger picture or just changing something in a way that we all like kind of were like. Oh you're right. Maybe it should go this way. Yeah when when you talk to him. It's like you couldn't be disappointed on what was going to happen. Or what direction. You're going in because you you knew it. It was crazy as many. Do Build that relationship banks you actually realize how easy it is to go to where I feel like if your talent who never goes adventure always gonNA look at him and it's like scary when really he's not There's so much to get into but unfortunately time is short. Has you covered for mixed martial art? Hogan Rogan is the most important influence all broken down like nowhere else only on Sirius. Xm fight nascent channel. One fifty six bully one match. That definitely got people talking on. Social Media. Was the match with live Morgan and Charlotte flair for many different reasons. So let me ask you. What did you think of the match between live and Charlotte on Monday? You don't ask me I ask you because I'm the one who told you that I'm the one who wanted to talk about this. Okay so let me ask you but before I ask you. I'm going to go to twitter machine and read a tweet from. Wwe Front row. He said it felt to me. Like Charlotte really helped. Elevate live. Who did a killer job stepping up in that match even in a loss? She took a step forward. That's from the nation. What's your take. I agree with that. It's funny because a lot of social media feedback that I got after that match because I actually tweeted about it myself that I liked the match and I enjoyed what live Morgan was able to do. Everybody's like that was another example of Charlotte squashing. Somebody's momentum Why does she have to be on Monday night raw? She's on annexed champion. Why is she on raw? You know with somebody that they're building momentum for and having them lose I did not see it that way. I thought it was a competitive match. I thought live Morgan. Had a very good match with a champion like Charlotte flare so. I think it was a win win all around for both Charlotte and for live Morgan. Cool work with me here. Okay yes or no. Have we seen live Morgan? Take steps forward in her wrestling ability in the ring. Yes can you see that? She is trying and wants to improve. Yes her have her and Ruby had good matches over the past couple of weeks. Yes they have any negatives with him live Morgan's game CINCI has come back in the ring. No should she have had as a competitive match with Charlotte? I I think yes. I don't think I believe that live. Morgan could hang with Charlotte at the level. She hung with Charlotte the other night. I didn't believe it until I saw it fair enough. I think this is a classic case of making someone you have somebody like Charlotte flair and and this has been done throughout the history of pro wrestling. But you have someone like Charlotte flair. Who I think is the best when it comes to that women's division and the wwe sees the top of the mountain. And you had somebody like live Morgan. Who has done really good? Things has had competitive matches has looked good since he's come back and then she had an ultra competitive match with champion. Did she win? No she did not win for bed. She looked good so now coming out of that. I WanNa see live Morgan again. Now I'm looking at live Morgan as somebody that could compete at a main main event level. So again I'll say what I said before. I think that's a win for everybody. We're just talking about how they're not making anybody. They're not building anybody. I think the one rare example of them doing it right now. I live Morgan. And I can't see a baffles my mind it's confuses me that people could look at that match and say. Oh my God Charlotte killed. Live Morgan if anything. Charlotte made live Morgan on Monday night. Correctomundo and what did I tell you earlier about the advice that Jerry Briscoe gave to me and Yvonne? If you can't make anybody then who did you really be correct so it would have been very easy for Charlotte to blow through. Live Morgan because even though live is getting better she's not on Charlotte's level. Charlotte helped get her up to the next level that I expect live to beat Charlotte. Nope IF SH- if live would've beat Charlotte with a roll up and her legs on the ropes with that. Nope because in no way shape or form should live Morgan at this stage of the game. Be Beating Charlotte flare. It's not about winning and losing right now for living for live. It's the performance and her taking the next steps. Yup Charlotte went over but live dot over and she got over because Charlotte helped her get over. So all of those people talking Shit about Charlotte should be given Charlotte ovation for everything that she did for live and great job by live for stepping up her game to an athlete and a performer. A pro wrestler. That is four superior tour in every way shape and form that match worked. And I'm starting to see things in live that I saw in Trish years ago. And here's how this works complement wise. My saying live is the kind of wrestler that Trish was nope but one of the hardest working people I've ever come across in my career was Trish stratus and always wanting to get better. Every time she went out there she was constantly trying to learn. You couldn't beat the crap out of her hard enough. She never complained. She paid her fricken. Do's and she moved four. She constantly took steps forward. And that's what I'm starting to see in lives performance a willingness to take steps forward. And that's how you get to the top and I love what you said polling. This is wire it shame on the people that were killing Charlotte and and blaming her for killing the momentum of live Morgan. First of all. It's only a few weeks for live. Morgan. Let's let's look back at where live. Morgan was a year ago or even six months ago and where she is now and the way you perceive her after that match on Monday. Night but bully. It's what you just said it's steps guy. I don't understand fans they want everything right now. They want live Morgan at the top. It a card like that. What the Fuck is wrong with you? People it's steps it's gradual. That's how you build a story that's how you build a personality. That's how you build the character. There's an old adage in pro wrestling. Dave slow and steady wins the race and if they continue on with live right now with this. Gradual built. Have our have good match after good match after good match. Put Her in there with the right people. I gotTa Tell You. I thought her and Ruby did a great job. Those two matches they have and they're not doing a damn thing with Ruby riot. I think she deserves an opportunity. Also because I saw live and Ruby worked together really really well and live. Couldn't have looked as good as she did against Ruby. If re we did not do her job well also they both have unique looks. They both have unique characters. They're both young did them both opportunities and the opportunity is GonNa come again where she's going to be in the ring with Charlotte and when that time does come bully your perception of life is going to be completely different where you think you know what lift can lift can win lift compete. Charlotte that that was not the on Monday I was. I mean what did you want on Monday for live to beat Charlotte or for live to have another match with Ruby Riot? No this is a wakeup call. This is like Whoa. She's not there yet. She's not there yet but man maybe in like three or four months maybe live can hang which Charlotte flare from now to a year. Maybe she could have an opportunity with Charlotte. Nba Champion. But you got it like everybody wants a story. It's amazing to be. Everybody wants a story but they want the final chapter in chapter two. The there's a reason why. Your book has chapters builds towards the final climax. I don't understand why wrestling fans want the end. Right away makes absolutely no sense. You know you just. You brought up the word climate right and whenever you hear the word climax what do you think of you know you? Think of Purdue Sexual Experience Right yes. Are the best sexual experiences fast or slow slow? It's where you it's it's it's a moment it's an it's a build up you know it's a build up. The build up is done the right way. The climax means that much more and that's how I look at it with wrestling if you build it the right way. The payoff will be that much better. Yeah go really quick and get it over with. Yeah Bobo. But it's hit then it's there and gone and forgotten about. Yup and there is something to say about. Get in. Get on get out. Yeah but in wrestling. That doesn't work the majority of the time. Slow built so that when you get to that end result. There's something really there. That's going to last for a long time. And it's not just going to dissipate the moment it's over. Think about the confidence the wwe must have live Morgan to put her in the ring. Which CHARLOTTE FLARE BAGS for panel? That's that's Heyman came in one on one right there so so there's somebody in her corner. That sees something her and knows that she could be a major superstar. But here's the thing cut. Let's think let's think rationally right now are people. Are People going to give up on? Live Morgan because she lost that match two Charlotte flare bully was just saying about the amount of offense. She got into that match Sheila Gray in that match. She's not on the same level as charlotte nor should she bay. She shouldn't be anywhere near the level of a Charlotte Charlotte flares on top. And she's at the peak. So why would you have somebody at just got reintroduced? Somebody that just got a couple of wins under her belt. Go in there and have a showcase now all she needed. Was that little bit of offense and that little bit of confidence and that little bit of a showing for us to make us believe that. Wow somewhere down the road. She's GonNa get an opportunity again and maybe when she does she's GonNa win got. Did anybody ever see the fucking rocky movies for crying out loud? That's with the rocky. Movies were based on did rocky win in the first rocky movie we lost lost. Thanks for listening catches Monday through Saturday. I'm busted open from nine. "One fifty six. They are the definition of superstars. It's Nikki and Brie Bella. The Bell how are you this morning so good? Thank you chose really good. Yeah Wow Dave. He's going to run with that one forever. He's GonNa come on the show for at least the next year going. Yup. I'm David Greco Bell chills. Well THIS VIOLETA. My wife chills. Yes I need some because this old pandemic thing is definitely ruined by game but again again. Congratulations so let me ask you this right off the bat with the book out now. Are you guys nervous about everything? I mean having this book. Is there a little nerves? Is it nervous as nervous excitement? Explain I mean for me. It was definitely hard sleep last night. You Know I. I made a lot of headlines with a few of my stories that I have acted for over twenty years and I was really nervous for to come out. Even we're writing Evanston rating two half years ago. I was still unsure if I wanted to tell these stories of being raped because it had been so long. It's just painted a carried through that had to work on for on time. And you just don't know how people are GonNa perceive it but I knew overall I could help younger women and women who are in high school or in college like for me. It was worth thin. It's were whatever kind of feedback I get so but it's still hard southern. Talk to my mom about it. We're going to talk later today. But we still haven't even discussed it the minute you haven't talked to your mom about what you you just brought up the word rape spoke with your mom about that. So my mom literally was hearing about it for the first time through the book and I dropped her off the hook. Two nights ago at dinner box with two bottles of wine. It was like mom you're gonNA need and she takes me an incredible Texas yesterday. Was like when you're ready. I would love to talk. It's hard because we have to do it through facetime resume because we can't see each other but it steps. She's having a hard time by now. We haven't even talked yet. Nicole carried a lot of like shame and guilt women do when they're these situations that I was one of the first people who she came to really one of the only ones twenty years known about it. But that's my Schwerin right it. Is I think a lot of women do they blame themselves for what subset situation? When it's not abso- breakfast. I tried to tell her like it's not was not review but you know a lot of women already come. I Q believed in less than twenty hours. How many girls and women have already demere agreed out with the impudent? Do the both of you remember your very first day in the wrestling business. So let me ask you this. What would Nikki and Brie right this very second? Say TO NIKKI AND BRIE. Walking in the doors for the very first time chose again. Because what I do. That's what I do out. That's Oh by the way that's what we do guys that you know I would tell myself I on the first day that we stepped into the business. We were just all smiles and bubbly. Ed looked at just thought. We're kind of working to this positive world and we rocked a little bit but I would tell myself flake stand strong like it took me a while to find my confidence encourage in the business. Because you're just with politics in getting heat and everything you just always so scared. I was constantly walk on eggshells so I would tell me someone beginning upset like you walk in confidence. In Courage Bravery Kazaa further. Took me. Why really the? Yak At that for me. It'd be raked. The rules apologize later. I didn't learn it to way later. I WANNA see to my longest divas championship. I always play by the rules. That was one of the producers in the boss happy but it doesn't do anything for your character when he do that and so. I wish I took that when I first walked through the door. Like whatever I'm GonNa do I'm GonNa do it. And if they don't like it it could kick me while you definitely broke the rules in that first batch on smackdown. I mean Jeez. That's what magic.

"Wwe Hall of Famer the Greatest Tag team wrestler of all time bully Ray and I talk to the Bella twins. That's right Nikki. And Brie Bella. They have a new book out. We get into all of that. Push their career on today's episode of Busted Open. Also we get into Monday night raw and the dip severe dip. In the ratings we kind of answer the question why and also we get into one of the bright spots of Monday night raw live Morgan and Charlotte flare all that right now on the bus. Open podcast were you ever a Bella twins fan. I always liked the Bellas Fan of the bells. What was your what was part of their tenure and wwe to enjoy the most. I really liked their later. Part of their career when you know with the women's revolution kicked in and a lot of people hate on the beginning of their career. I actually liked that twin dynamic that they had were Nikki was getting the shit kicked out of her. She rolled out of the ring and Bray would roll in. You know if you remember their first match was it was Bree against is bell against Victoria Nikki. Bell actually got the win but I always liked their dynamic and you know I think they for a lot of their career. They were hated on unfairly but I think they got a lot of respect as their career went on. So it's going to be talking to them at eleven. Am Why do you think the unfair hatred? I just think because of where the women's division was in the wwe started to where it was and they changed. They adapted they evolved. If you if you look at the women's evolution in the wwe for where it was you know ten years ago to where it is right now. All you have to do is look at the Bellas. And what they were at the beginning of the career and how their careers develop and how they adapted they became damn good pro wrestlers both of them by the end of their careers. And you know what we always talk about the lack of real stars in pro wrestling. You know everyone talks about the Rock and the stone colds and the seniors and we haven't really been able to get that the last decade in the wwe you kind of have with the Bella twins because they are now as known from their wrestling career as everything else they do outside of the ring including their their TV. Show on a so. They're about as mainstream or even more mainstream than probably any wrestler right now on the wwe. Roster I would agree. They are superstars. They they they transcend. They step over the line and their books should be interesting. Their shows are always interesting. And I'm sure talking to them. We'll be fun and you know one woman. One more thing on the bill is before we move on again. They're going to be on at eleven. Am eastern time bully. Is that you always hear about Vince. Mcmahon says there's no guarantees. I don't give guarantees. I give opportunities if there was ever to people that took the most out of that opportunity. It's Nikki and Brie Bella. They took their opportunities. They knock down that door and they became mainstream superstars. I will agree that they became mainstream superstars. And I can tell you because I was there as the words came out of the man's mouth. He said BUBBA. There is no such thing as the push what we give you here is opportunity and that is the biggest word in the wwe and yes. The bell is maximized their opportunities. Now bully you mentioned the conversation that you and I are happened before the start of the show and it's not a it's not a conversation that is a positive conversation when I mean that is that it's not a conversation that I liked to have. It wasn't that long ago. Bully you and I were talking about the momentum in pro wrestling across the board and how is just getting bigger and bigger and it wasn't at the same heights of what we saw twenty years ago but we were getting there and and there are a lot of positive changes especially over what we saw the last decade. Since we've got into what we're world I guess you could say is the new normal in our world right now with everything that's gone on with this pandemic over the last couple of months. A lot of things have changed especially in the world of pro wrestling especially in the world of the. Wwe bully. When you look at Monday night raw and you look at smackdown on Fox and I'm just mentioning these two main stream a main roster shows for the wwe they have fallen about as far as you can fall and the proof is in the pudding when you look at Monday night. Raw and the numbers that they drew for this past Monday Monday by the way bully right before a pay per view a Monday before. Pretty big pay per view for the fans which is money in the bank and I think it was about a one point nine. I one point six for Monday night. Raw this past. Monday I mean. Those are putrid numbers and bully. We were having a conversation before to starting to show why and we blame a lot of it on the lack of a crowd. But now we've been having shows with a lack of a crowd for a while now. I don't think that's the problem right now with Monday night. Raw you would think that with no sports on TV and pro wrestling giving us the only semi live option that there is it comes to know new. Tv shows a sporting events you know pro wrestling able to weather all the storms that have ever been out there in reality and keep pressing along but something is going on and I don't think it has anything to do with lack of crowds. Now I have had friends. Tell me it's hard to watch the products. Whatever they may be without the crowd. They're just not the same. So if you'd have a fair weather fan or a fan that just watch casually. I guess they're not as entertained by the lack of crowds. But you would think with everybody's being forced to sit home but that would force them to watch wrestling a little more because it's basically one of the only things that's out there right now that still live or semi live so why would numbers be down or numbers down that much because there's no audience there. I'll give you a little bit of that. I'll give you some at the very least I would have thought that. Wwe would maintain and I think if they would have just maintained their their normal rating. They'd be totally fine and listen at the end of the day. They're gonNA be totally fine no matter what 'cause it's Vince. And he will find a way because he always does and his history is dictated. Here's what I believe the issue is and I've been talking to you about this for a long time and I think it's finally and rearing its ugly face. There's no star power on the shows. They have not built up their second tier the way they built up their second tier years and years and years ago. You have your handful of talent that is over and then you have everybody else. These stars are not at the level that people want to invest emotionally into Zelina. Vega is a friend of yours. She's a friend of mine. She's a friend of velvets. She does a phenomenal job every single week. She's out there along with the crew that she's out there with right. Who does she have asset with her? Dave Andrade Austin Theory Angel Garza. How many weeks in a row have we seen all this talent now? We have seen him every week since this pandemic has started. Are you that into any of those talents where you need to see them every week? No and I know way to answer your question simply know the answer to that is now. And why are you not into those talents? Why you don't have to see them every week. Well for me. It's because what have they done? Like what if they done in the ring or added a ring? That says hey. I want to watch these wrestlers each and every week. Now to your point Selena Vega has done it but Selena vague is not in the ring competing Selena Vegas p. She's the manager. We seen her on commentary. She's highly entertaining. See somebody that I liked to watch on my TV. But as far as the wrestlers that she's a part of both for the most part they lose. I mean this pass Mondays another example of that so they have built those wrestlers up to a point where it's like. Oh my God I gotTa Watch and see what they do. Next week. The problem is let's go. Let's go to the to the product before all of this pandemic started. They weren't positioning these talents. To be main event players they were part of fifty fifty crew. The fifty fifty crew is. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose sometimes. You're on TV. Sometimes you're off TV. And it never gives a fan an opportunity to really get into anybody because they're used sporadically. It's like okay. What do we have for Seth? What DO WE HAVE FOR CHARLOTTE? What do we have for Roman? And then whatever's left over. Let's divvy up amongst the rest and they're in that divvy up amongst the rest crew and if you're only getting some TV time here and some TV time there. Yeah it is your job to maximize that. Tv time in and hit a home run every single time as Lena is doing but as far as the talent in the ring people really don't have an opportunity to get into them. Really really get into them to do you want to see. Drew McIntyre beat brock listener. Of course yes we wanted to see. Drew McIntyre beat Brock. Lester do you care about this match at money? In the bank between drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins I am Bildt interest I to be honest a mild interest in the match. You Use the word mild. And that's why they're at a point one point six there you go in this during these times. You can't afford to be mild. That's why you're getting a mild rating and I don't like to talk about the ratings. This rating is not about. Oh my God. They did one point six. This is more indicative about how the wwe used to build everybody up and now they only build certain people up and now all of a sudden you have a situation where you can't have those people on tv all the time and you're second tier talent needs to be up there back in the day if you go back and watch Dave all at one time stone cold rocky triple H cactus taker. Cain they were either gone or hurt or off. Tv whatever what the WWe do. They relied on their second tier talent. Who was able to step right up. They were just waiting in that. Batter's box ready to get up there. And they were swinging away and the wwe never dipped now. We're seeing a massive dip and we keep go back to the mid eighties. When Hogan was on top and Hoagie was on top for a long time. You look at that. Mid Card of you know Roddy Piper and junkyard. They were day. Where you'd superstars you'd soup and that was that. Was You know under the champ? You look at what you just said it and we've talked about it last week the MVP and say it again to me the MVP of Monday night. Raw has been Selena Vega. That's a problem when SELENA VEGAS. Not Actually in the ring competing. She manages three wrestlers. Let's use the example from this past Monday. You said it Angel Garza Angel. Garza was eliminated by Umberto at the beginning of that. Show Austin theory. Somebody else's she manages. He came into the ring next. He was quickly eliminated by Umberto. So where's the built here? You're still relying on the people that the same people that you relied on a year ago. That's why you get. Aj Styles back as early as you got AJ styles and they completely dismissed match. That happened a month ago at Wrestlemainia. Thirty six because they need to have him in the ring. They need to have him compete. Because you don't know what to do with this crop of wrestlers on your show creatively. Correct me if I'm wrong creatively. They're lost because you just mentioned where. Hey if somebody gets injured you know next man up and you're going to make them look as big and as much of a star as possible the. Wwe's not doing that right now. The next man up is meaningless to a lot of fans because as you said you have done nothing. Nothing to build that person up to where it's a persona or a character that you want to watch on a weekly basis. Nobody's get was getting any real reps in the. Wwe enough reps where fans could be like. Wow I really liked this performer. Where I really hate this performer. And then a situation where they could put those performers in a spot and people could be like. Oh Yeah. I'm into this person. Let me ask you this. Who's must see TV on Monday night? Raw or smackdown. Right now. Back I'd probably say Otis is must see TV. Just because I'm interested in the storyline and Otis's entertaining Otis without Mandy. And you can't say Otis without Dolf and you can't say oldest without Daria so all those people together. So if you're GonNa say Otis you gotta say all the supporting players because Otis on his own is nothing without the supporting players in that story. So if that's must see for you that's great. Is that going to carry the smackdown rating? No which show is must see for you right now. The the show that I constantly say I look forward to entertain me. Entertain ME FROM BEGINNING TO END. Is He w dynamite on Wednesdays which wwe product is must-see? See for you. There isn't one right now. These are all my points that I'm trying to. This is why when you only allow certain people to get over and you quote unquote hold others back and never let them flourish. When you don't let the talent be talented. This is what happens. I find myself watching a bunch of people when I sit back and watch Selena Vega and her crew. I know that Austin theory is a talented wrestler..

"Seven Bellas return your call with Mary merry I am so glad that god has given us this opportunity to call to talk to each other the reason is a I'm thinking about what this could mean for you when you said I feel like I'm fighting for my own life and you've had a sister who was and it okay you said all consuming and then basically it's like been your your most your life she's been this way so there's not a significant change in her life but I'm I'm I'm gonna ask a question do you feel okay I know who you really are well okay do you know hello I mean it's it's one of those thanks in the last I've been reading in starting on the Christian reading and studying and listening and ready I'll just really seeking god for peace because I can put on pain I haven't ever had it mmhm mmhm well that is the specialty of Jesus not only is he called the prince of peace that's just not a label when you have Christ in you are going to be very clear as one who never heard of having Christ in you I did not I was not raised with even that mentality but the Bible Colossians one twenty seven says it's Christ in you the hope of glory I remember thinking what in you up at okay so then then what happens is when he comes in he has supernatural power by the way I'm going to assume that you're going to say yes but do you believe that Jesus is all powerful absolutely yeah what I knew you're gonna say that okay just with him on the inside he will enable you because his supernatural power to do well to be who god created you to be and therefore as a result to do what he created you catch it this that makes sense yes I guess I need to know how they hear him or know how to I know how to listen but I understand so let's let's take some first things first and you already did the first thing you and when you said that you really are Christian so you've humbled your heart eminences and received Jesus as your personal lord and savior giving him control of your life have you done that hello that's what I thought you're gonna say and you know what I believe he sent with him on the inside the problem can be that we have a distorted view based on how we were raised what circumstances we were out of control about and children are they don't have control over their decision making first they're fed up you know everything and cleaned up and all this that takes place and so over time they learn to have control but if you are powerless for years when bad things were happening and that's what I'm hearing bad things were happening with this violent sister seven years older at the you know sweetheart for her to put a pillow over your head set on it the suffocating you yes she knew what she was doing but that doesn't mean she was mentally she obviously there was something broken within her to do that yeah but but there's no question she knew what she was doing so but that does that mean that that that sense of power have you struggled with feeling powerless throughout your life all I yeah okay yes okay okay at giving up power and finding it but I'm fifty seven number than that of current well you know if you look at actuarial tables sweetie you can live to your nineties coming out for women yeah just the mazing so you've got a lot of years ahead S. and S. if you're an average woman took ME to to I can just tell you that especially if you've been barely decent with your eating and all the all the stuff you know of not being on the drugs I'm assuming you have an yeah on that route okay so look you've got years to but you're saying you don't want to waste any more time I tell that I think that the thing is that I'm excited about what the future holds because I don't think I've ever really let myself get excited about it because the recall is that something that was gonna ruin it and I've just stop that and not just stopped it but eliminated that part of my life I don't allow her to do that anymore good what see Jesus said the truth set you free so why do at times we do things that we shouldn't do and you say well I can't help it or whatever if you think you have to be a party to something's wrong that something is wrong and you know that it's wrong and and all of we have to evaluate is that really true and others if you're if you're thinking is off your conclusions are going to be off so let's consider this Jesus of those living in you he's he is the way the truth a life so he's going to confirm what's true because he lives in you and his spirit he's the spirit of god is even called the spirit of truth the spirituals will guide you into all truth that's John sixteen it's great scripture the spirit of truth will guide you into all truth and tell you what is yet to come meaning you're going to it's going to confirm and give you peace and I like that you looked you you you want peace this is where when something's right he the spirit of truth will give you and there's fruit let Scott the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace so when you have peace you can have peace in the midst of the storm but you could have storm and have no peace so what you need to do is go all right lord Jesus I have given my life to you I want to literally line up my thinking with you and so and he's the one who it's so interesting but because he R. he literally the Bible even says he is your piece he is your piece okay so let's figure this out I want to tell you one of the most amazing scriptures in the Bible and it is the theme verse for our entire ministry called hope for the heart it's Jeremiah twenty nine eleven that is very all right then you know exactly what I'm talking about god gives you significant sweetheart you can feel you have do you struggle with low so forthright oh my gosh yeah okay you were worth number one Jesus dying for you you were worth god saying that he has a plan for you he's already got a pre planned plan he's pre planned the plan is not just along the way well okay I'll just figure no with this is this is fantastic so since this is your favorite verse and it's my favorite verse for our ministry this is god speaking I know the plans I have for you plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and the future so honey it's not your plan it's great that's better that's even better because he who is almighty can fulfill any plan as long as we yield our will to him so what we're gonna talk about is what what would it be if we say okay if I got as a Christmas for me your purpose by the way is what gives your life reason for living the reason sep fourth by god to put you here on earth you are here on purpose it can be to impact your husband too it can be kids Eckington compass a number of things but I want to say ahead of time the Bible says in him we were also chosen having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will that's a lot of words it's Ephesians one happen but the point is here you see god knew ahead of time that he's gonna intervene in your life that he would choose shoot with a free destined plan and it will tie into the purpose of his will for you that's fantastic isn't it's not dependent other people it's gonna be about you and what is it then that what do you do but this is what gives your life significance your significance is knowing that your life has meaning and purpose your significance refers to your personal values and your individual worse as I said your worth dying for and and what a perfect time for us to be talking about this.

"Wacky wonderful cast with shelly none of our q part of the in the same place yeah so this skyhook would stay in g uh-huh synchronous orbit with the Earth and then all we would need to do is come up and then grab on the Skyhook and then like zip way did that zip that's what I was thinking down to the moon how cool is that when we be going up to the moon will know once you get out of the atmosphere it's not necessarily up down come forward as a because it's all three so yeah yup it's up when we look up into the sky knives up but when we're out of our atmosphere it could be oft year well look I'm too scared to go on a cruise ship so I do not think I would be taken a hook or anything else to get to anywhere my feet aren't able to touch the ground we went on the fastest on longest zip line in the world and for those guys who want to see a head to our facebook page and you can see it there it's on there where you can see us at this event shitting our pants Yeah I was good though yeah but when we were growing up the taken aloe truck thingy up to the little trucks the charters of these little trucks you were bigger than our car okay but it took a long time to get up there and the long trips where he managed to get up to mccosh I thought I was going to have a heart attack and hi but did make sure your insurances paid before we went nice was yours I don't worry about that I'm fine that's good too yeah so the news that's move onto a little bit of news so let me tell you something I have heard something that he's going to make your blood boil okay now I'm not going to say where this happened I'm not gonNA say who happened to in fact the only that was actually mentioned in the news report was patient a okay so we're going to call this patient patient a okay so this lady who we are called impatient A. Goes to the hospital for a procedure on her lady bits all right while she he's laying down conscious being examined or having this procedure carried out the nurse grabs hold of grabs hold signs over aggressive not necessarily grabs hold off but touches her labia both sides and uses her lady bits as a pup AH and says hello my name is patient eight Nah I'm telling you know I'm telling you is going through I is going you know I'm not gonNA say way or whatever Oh God and I part of me when I first heard they saw smiled I saw this is absolutely ridiculous right and a little bit funny now having finite what I find indict sense is not funny at all because I said the nurse what I should have said was a male nurse I said the nurse made it do it but it was a male nurse that did this and it was a woman Na da yeah let me go that was from a nurse it doesn't realize the Labia is part of the female sorry yeah okay no that's horrible that is horrible it is unknown funny what you reckon my raction would have been if you come back until let me someone did that to you or did it to my daughter's all my granddaughter on my mother what did you think my reaction would have been there'd be one less nurse in the world I believe that this nurse was even in that job to start with to do something like that now and it makes you wonder like did you do the other people yeah yeah just a total lack of respect for for that woman and I mean thing is when women go there could I'm a woman again you know you're going there talk you're going whoa wait what somehow know about you you know you're going there because you're scared be something wrong and a lot of women are very self conscious about what they got down there anyway I mean you can't exactly see all that all right and so you go there you're scared and then somebody does that to you yeah I mean I don't know obviously his side of the story you know he he say no side of that story but he may say that she was really nervous news channel lighten the mood or whatever I mean there are other ways to do it I mean in a couple of weeks tom uncle and my colonoscopy again right and my ass talks to them whether they manipulate not procedure embarrassed but it's okay for you to say that you wouldn't want somebody that's they're going Geez you know like your butts talking off alone yeah well when they pull it afterwards and I'm still full of air I don't want to grab hold the cheeks and God am I gonna fly in through the through the I've been thinking okay anyway I just saw you'd find that interesting because being a nurse yourself that is not funny no I said interesting not funny it's not funny at all and it's not funny okay where can I have a break now but when we have this break actually GonNa do is I'm going to play you something that I've been requested to include on this show several times and not as going back when my Aldrin were young so I think my youngest daughter who is twenty was probably about four at the time so this is a good sixty in years ago I used to run an internet radio station immune a friend of mine uses this radio station together and we used to do live on air what we would call in the UK wind-ups or practical jokes on people and this is a recording of me holding I'm not GonNa say the name of the company but call in a well known motor insurance company as a lady it up to insurance quote please please stokes first name Abigail Burke twenty-eighth nineteen forty eight okay Mrs or MS and we're supposed quitter Chaz at cf one to da do you do quotes on Ferrari testosterone. no yeah variety for seconds this point on hold from I thirty seconds just quitting Farney please see at one two day yea to duck a full abigail the F. "Everybody welcome to episode sixty one of the head okay storage troyed episode Sixty One Ladies Gentlemen the Iraqi wonderful stories podcast just in case you're wondering that was supposed to be an impression of an alien no it wasn't was it then it was just a monster as what Bryant's like this morning because he's got a bad throat to true to stay tuned for but later on by the way where we will be announcing the winner of the prize draw for the haunted Yorkshire by Nick Tyler so anyway somebody asked for aliens so we're going to try to give him a little bit of alien that sounds so wrong doesn't have no alien who nominee before we do that I just want to say welcome everybody thank you very much for tuning into us here we wonderful stories podcast now as you no we usually interview people and all that sort of stuff we're actually GONNA do similar but different because we've been toying with the idea of doing shows where there's a little bit of news there's a little bit of Trivia and all sorts of stuff and little bit of fun going on so we're going to do that for you today as a little bit of an extra I'm we may start slotting some of these in as well as the other stuff that we're doing so with that said Buyoya are will allow you to go back to where you were a minute ago and tell us all about this alliens thing do you want me to go back to the part where I said I was going to give somebody a little bit of alien you give him Olien you want I know this guy personally the one who did the intro which by the way thank you very much for that was Andy Morgan from Somerset and yes he is quite talented when it comes to the old voice `oughts we'll have to keep that in mind right while you're gonNA replace me wouldn't ever okay you live in a little bit to flip in no I wouldn't wouldn't replace you little cousin would have been nice so on CNN which is supposed to be a reputable news right it has finally happened that the US Navy actually says that there are UFO's while it's not the first time is it and they've actually released a little bit of footage although not much but still problem is they still just won't call it a UFO nope it they're calling it an unidentified aerial phenomena or a U. A. P. That's the new phrase everyone's using even people within the UFO community and I use a new AP instead great so where the hell am I you need to listen to a few more podcasts well I like are so much I don't need listen any other ones you don't even listen to ours that's because I make them Y- know anyway if you go onto the CNN website you can see some of these images and some of the footage but I think is interesting and they've now decided that they can declassify a lot of the stuff they can use them when they're training pilots I suppose they can't come up with their own sort of lake diversion or are or something so now they've decided to if you can't beat them join them like the area fifty one thing they wouldn't just going to let those people in with in fact it up last night isn't it wasn't it last night this happened absolutely amazing so all of the people that responded to this there was about two hundred just under two hundred people that actually turned up and all of those two hundred people most of them peacefully left after they were heated warnings from police but you know what president trump would say it was a very very big crowd very big yeah well in on well no I was GonNa say if any president if any American president would actually come out and say okay guys hands up in a there is some going on with UFO's I reckon it with trump I don't think that he would be swayed by whether a president should ocean combined with it or whatever he would just if it was something that he wanted to tell people I reckon he would tell them well yeah because he's got no filter okay okay well there is a clip of him so Ryan that he personally doesn't believe in aliens or UFO's or whatever but people have said that they've seen him so yeah and he said pilots who aw some of the best pilots in the world in his words yeah so maybe he is getting ready to come out and say something who knows why he did say we'll find out soon so maybe maybe he ask us something you never can tell with him can you know now Mr President Donald Trump if you're listening to this we all ready for you we're ready for you to come out and tell us anyway nice keep on the old space theme monster if while we're at it and have you ever heard of a planet called K. to eighteen be no but it sorta sounds like you know Marvin the Martian his little weapon and all that know what was I called I don't know the eluded him something something space Angela later or something like that anything K. to eighteen I don't know it just reminded me of that that's all did you have do those things in school where they show you a shape and wash that what kinds of things did you might with its logical test isn't it yeah yeah yes Rohrschack test the ink blot test yeah so anyone would normally see like a butterfly or something what would it be you'd see I well I it'd be like going Dexter with his blood bladder things it probably wouldn't be anything good that I would see yeah that's true well anyway K.. To eighteen is a plausible candidate eight in terms of a planet to support alien life because there is a lead scientist that has come with these findings and the lead scientists he's Professor Giovanni to Nettie now she is at University College of London and she's described her discovery is mind blowing I don't know why it's mind blowing because apparently this planet is is the first time they've detected Walter base it on a planet within the Habitable Zone around a star with a temperature is incompatible with life if you like is it compatible with our life well see this is the thing because it says another issue is that astronomers can't agree what conditions are needed for habitability we only ever to go on their life may also be possible on other types of worlds because which is looking at carbon based life that breathes oxygen expels carbon dioxide et cetera et cetera exactly so so who knows she said is mine blowing now again I'm not a scientist as we know I don't think it's mind blowing to know that there's billions and billions and billions of stars Ed with billions and billions of planets around in them and all the rest of it to think that there might be another planet that supports life the F. you think for one second earth is the only place in every way in every way that could create or support life then you're a bit conceited in my opinion well maybe but the thing is right can be conceited but the thing is it's like we were just talking about the navy saying okay yeah all right there are unidentified things flying through the air force aerial phenomena yeah yeah that so it took him how long to just admit that there are things up and they're still probably not saying that they're coming from you know some other planet or whatever I mean it could be the Russians anything that's why they're now using U. A. P. Because if they say Ufo people need to assume that is a spaceship whereas Ufo you know if you break down the words unidentified flying object is different from unidentified aerial phenomena and I just sounds more it's just that they've broken away from something immediately screams aliens that's the only reason they've changed the wording but UFO didn't use to mean probably what it means today either it's morphed into exactly yeah but the thing is I don't necessarily think it's mind blowing but I mean two hundred people did go to area fifty one so there are GonNa be people that are going to be like Oh my God you know who are building their bonkers now and prepare and everything 'cause this woman has found something lisette might Portland worst part is some people probably be packing suitcases so they can get in the line to go there but well I mean yeah we're talking about two different things we're talking about the area fifty one thing and this planet but as far as this planet is concerned Yeah I don't personally see mind-blowing I'm happy that we've suddenly got a professor a respected university that is coming out and saying okay we find something that might actually be something to all of this maybe we'll start to get funding now proper funding so that proper universities and proper scientists can start looking into some of these accounts that people are giving them of actually seeing things because if there is a planet was going to say in our neighborhood but it's not really you know inadequate it's outside of our one hundred eleven light years away which is around six hundred and fifty million million miles from Earth Millers road million million yes six hundred and fifty million miles so yeah it's not dying row but again we don't know whether this life on another planet if there is such a thing is going to be a lot more advanced than if somebody could be further back than us for all we know but you know what's scary if there's a plant that is supporting life that is not like ours than they come here or go and investigate these things like when they went to the moon you didn't know what was on the moon they came back and wiped out the whole entire human race with some weird virus or pathogen or whatever that we don't have on earth yeah definitely and then so yeah we're all screwed with antibiotics so it's going to be pretty fucking Zola also you know also read an article this morning that was talking about hotels now that they want to build just past earth's atmosphere ear into space that's like the new thing they want to try to do that so that people can actually go to this hotel wouldn't it sucks if you went all the way to the hotel and you didn't have a room with a view that would be us can we have an economy ticket please and then we're like a closet know what you mean there's no pool we're GONNA put it that'd be pretty awesome though I think about it let's go vacation let's go to space I mean Disney you know what it could be Disneyland could be one of the places I but still you say to your kids do you WanNa go to see sure what are they got their Mickey Max Yeah Yeah do you WanNa go see making my house or do you WanNa go see alien I want to personally hotel I don't necessarily have aliens there is but how do we know what if there's some alien on some planet and he's just a poor little male alien he can't get it the job and he thinks hey maybe I can go be a cleaner at that new hotel they're open industrial nearby earth they're talking about ways to get off the planet as well and if you ever heard of the space elevator now right so Odyssey Clark and his novel I think it was the findings of Paradise who yeah turn me on all this technical literary Info written on this bit of paper here oh the clock and these novel the findings of Paradise He built a tower that was so to one he the characters build our that was so tall that it reached space and it was called the space elevator right can you imagine getting caught in that left yeah stop working I can't see the engineers coming out and fix not too quick sorry may counter today co possibly pop Monday so anyway and then of course they're going to get them to go wow it's gonNA COST yeah apart from that on the fan mate I gotTa go order the yeah just take breaks down in its own time anyway he built this space elevator that people have actually taken that seriously since that book these people have even patented the idea of having a space elevator but the only problem is is obviously the earth spins so it's subjective various forces and everything as well and then you've got wind and everything else and there is nothing at the moment that will be able to support the weight no known material to support the weight and came to balance the weight that would be required to create an elevator up in space now the being up into space doesn't mean to say it's going to go to a planet or whatever it just literally means is going to come up an atmosphere WANNA get burnt up anyhow well no I don't exactly know high the forces work but theoretically it's possible the only thing that stopping us is is the structure cherry south so they've decided that that isn't possible at the moment but what possibly is possible possibly a space hook so the idea this is is that you would say for instance she wanted to get to the moon you would build a structure on the moon which isn't it back to gravity and all the rest of it okay you build a structure on the moon and then you would essentially put a wire all that type of idea from the moon towards earth and it would sit in geosynchronous orbit with our US okay so just like we've Got Sky TV haven't we and now a satellite dishes point in the same location and that's because we've got a geosynchronous satellites last satellite the more or less stays in the same part of the sky and therefore tate's at the same motion as the earth so it always looks like it's.

"You know on my end as well so I love it. so yeah thank you But it seems like you are just have done such an amazing job and it's so just thinking back to the time where you probably started your segment and you know being raised by a mom who was a single mother for a little bit until she met my Stepdad. "Three Honey FOX flat mile for the older fillies and mares on the turf. Interesting little mix of horses in here. I guess you gotta start at the rail. Judy Chad Brown appreciate procedures head out year, plus lay off into the della rose Saratoga just missed stablemate ony that day. We know how good Oni is haven't seen her though. Now in about seven months, she returned from the rail draw Chad Brown hobby Castawano. Yeah. Was the only race that Peter Brant didn't win at Saratoga? She got beat ahead. And it was it was a tough beat to. She's a very talented Philly. She has one hundred and thirteen racing post rating. That's great one material. That's what you see with horses at run into Breeders Cup. There's nobody in here. That's even close to her as far as that is concerned. She is the class of the field. She will take some beating looks like she's ready that. Minute and three fifths. I guess my birthday was a big day of work that was that was also on my birthday February seventeenth that kind of indicates to me. She's ready to roll. But there's other Phillies in here. You're right. It's it's an interesting field Lawson year from Brian Lynch stable she showed some some class in her first couple of races here in the United States. They ran or a little bit too far in the Belmont oak Samaya on the quarter. She she took them a long ways. And then folded like lawnchair, and then she had a layoff after that ran in January at Gulfstream here in the Marsh was river. She took him a long way. Again, got a little tired at the end. She's a lot fitter. Now, I think she's going to give a good account of herself in here. And then it was the other one that I liked Bella Bella has really done well since joining the Todd Pletcher stable not that she didn't do. Well when. She was with Jimmy toner but Todd's won two out of three with her. She seems to be at the top of her game right now, and I just hate to leave out Pletcher in resort area. When you're talking a great stakes like this. They they know how to get it on. Book. I think this wells down to if press uses ready. It's over. I mean, they all everybody in this field would have to stop. Because again, you know, that's assuming use doesn't get better with the extra with the with the seven months often little more maturity now, I mean, imagine if she takes a step forward. She's gonna win this could load her in backwards show in this. I think I think you got the see I'm not a loss in yada fan. I thought she had it our own way into wonder again when she wanted. She got exposed the next two times. But you're right. She should be tighter for this. I think our presence really helps Bella. And maybe it gets Bella vais a big piece of this. Because you've got to imagine that both Bella van dull J really going to kind of follow her around there and just try and work out some trips from their outside draws maybe they're the two you wanna use on the Neath press use it kind of gets a little chalky that way. But I, you know, I don't like. An old love betting horses of seven-month layoffs. Chad Brown kind of mitigates that though. So that press uses would be a solid solid lean for me, and maybe a little Bella indulge a Liliane on a saver ticket. But I ended this presi uses race to lose race number eleven on Saturday afternoon degrade three Honey FOX race twelve. The Dow the champ is here jaywalk returns from her Breeders Cup freshening. It'll be her. I starting just about four months the low one turn mile here in the Dow two hundred thousand on the line. She truly inside to all our heroes back. She's looking for five in a row..

You know, the customer a Freudian miscue. Right. They knew I didn't really want the vegetables by did get my dad's been getting on my case, he says, he's talks about the press meals and healthy vegetables.
