"I, mean to fair. The same could probably be said about old folks home so not. So, and also given the history of the island of mental hospital could only serve to ended up right. Of course, for sure one hundred percent. That's how that works sense the sarcasm. But patients at this mental hospital could have been sent here initially for all sorts of reasons from relatively benign cases like depression to more severe cases like schizophrenia or something like that. If they were insane prior to arriving on the island. They soon driven mad by the sight of the ghosts and burning, rotting, plague victims, or and hearing their whales and cries for help. Oh. These claims were dismissed as hallucinations and outbursts from an already deranged individual. However, of course, that's fucked rumors around the mental hospital state that since this was such a secluded island and hospital that it allowed immoral doctors to experiment and torture patients with lobotomies and electric shock to be their signature procedure, I actually believe that one hundred percent apparently the doctor was adamant about becoming famous for curing or figuring out why people aren't saying he used all manner of tools to perform these lobotomies such as hammer and nail. Chisels without any real basis for or how you perform them looking stuck them in the head He also had an absolute disregard for sanitary conditions or even using anesthesia on the patient. But it makes the episode of, isn't it lower? The Ice Pick? Yeah. Yeah. Doctors just fucking stuck shit in your brain. Does that happens right? Dumb. He was said to have frequently performed these procedures at the top of the Bell Tower that is still present as you can see. So, in the Nineteen Thirties, Dr supposedly went insane because he started to also see not only the ghosts plague victims invested the island, but also the ghosts of his tortured victims though I mean he kinda deserves it. Yes. So plagued by their cries for help and accusations of torture and murder he went to the top of the Bell Tower and threw off. Let's see what you did there. Thought you catch. Others. Say he was pushed by the spirit of victims or that his patients brought him up there in term off either way. Deserved anyway he fell off the belltower..

"I was lucky enough to have a lesson there in the Nineteen Ninety S. Once the bally's unlocked, it may be leave it to the balance with one hand on the lip of the bell and the other braced on the frame. The Bells are then pushed over the balancing turn to ring rounds. As the bell swings into its pit on the head stock rises the ring at uses the hand that was on the frame to push the head stuck down to maintain momentum. A I is quite unnerving to realize that as you're pushing down on the head stock to bring the full circle, the self is rising high above you. It's also vital to grasp the moving head stock well away from the edge, or there's a risk to your thumb as the head start passes the frame where there's only a very small gap. Each ringer then turns to repeat the action with the other arm had stock as the bell swings the other way. Possibly, the hardest thing is to move your body to the same rhythm as the bell so that Hans an arms are not in the wrong place at the wrong time. To set the bill, the ring applies a bit of extra forced to the headstone and virtually catches the bell as it swings to the balance before resting in its set position. Because of the way, the bells rung and the fact that the rings where defenders because of the noise method ringing really isn't practical. It is possible to wrinkle changes or to hunt the trouble through the other full bells twice to add a bit of variation and returned to rounds. All of this of course is highly skilled and potentially dangerous, and there have inevitably been the odd or to in the past. But with proper tuition can skill the East Burger. Bells continue to ring out regularly. Thanks to a dedicated band of local ringers. Plenty of clips on Youtube of the bells being rung. If you want to see how it's done, we will include a link to one of these youtube videos as well as to photos relating to some of the other.

"Tower bells situated in church towers as in this episode explained by Simon Davis, the Powell family came to the states in northeast Kent in the late eighteenth century. John Powell. Powell was very keen yachtsman and a very keen ringer. He was very keen on learning to ring on twelve bells, but the near center suffering was in London, which was a very long way from Burston at that time. He first offered to augment the bells at the Local Parish Church of All Saints from two twelve but it was a very small tower on this was possible. So he did like most landed gentry would have done and he decides to build his own tower. So he built the Wortley Tower it was completed in eighteen nineteen tower now rises from among cold trees is very toll. Toll redbrick without tackle angle targets and four low square rooms around the base with big stone pinnacles. It has cost I and battlements, and the crowning glory is a slender openwork spy on flying buttresses inspired by the steep leftovers from church. But made entirely from call Stein, which at the time was remarkably daring. The twelve bells were caused by Thomas me as the second in eighteen eighteen and installed in eighteen nine team. To begin with the full treble were hung above the barricades. So the troubles with difficult to hear on nineteen fifty one, the troubles were recast troubles have now been re hung below the pack aid which makes the mold -able. The tower is approached across fields and for his frequently find cows in their way there is no direct footpath. The Tower has an air of melancholy. It's effectively a mausoleum. Lighting is by oil lamps. And it's very somber place to ring. The Tower is a testament to the vision of John Powell Powell. On the bells are still regularly rung by the park banned. The next few readings are examples of church tires where getting access to the bell tower has its own set of challenges. Firstly rose nightingale reads from Ernest, Morris's book on. Tiresome. BELLSA. Suppression the Church of Saint Mary. Lawn. Ten Oxford share. The. Approach to the ringing chamber is by an external on ladder of nineteen rungs. has gained to what is merely a narrow owning in.

"Where the where the where it was coming from everybody's like, China's stop the service and everything. Oh, you're kidding me. So I don't know some of those were fun. We, we actually had, we had these benches that couples would sit on, and they would do their, you know, as my mom used to call it neck and, you know, they would they would be kissing and stuff and everything. And they would they had these benches all over campus. There's probably about twenty of them. And so one time when night we actually went out and we picked up all of the benches. And we, we took too big ropes and there were two big oak trees on what they called Reasoner green right in the middle of the campus. And we tied all of the benches up between those two oak trees. So in the morning, everybody comes out. There's no benches anywhere on campus. In these, there's like these two string of like twenty benches hanging from a tree, and then about a week after that they were all concrete it down and bolted so gone. That's excellent good. When we did that. So you're the reason I can't steal from hotels. Exactly. Thank you know, there was an eighth grade when I was in sixth grade in eighth grade and another school I went to they tried to play a trick on the. The math teacher think her name was MRs Franklin. They tied a rope around the tree park in front of the convent. And then then her axel thinking, it would just stop the car. They just stopped the car. When MRs Franken took off it ripped out the back axle, or this is like nineteen seventy six or seventy seven rip back axle off that is awesome. And I don't think they knew like that was so serious that no-one ratted on, whoever it was because everybody got. Yeah, that's pretty hilarious. Somebody another great prank at our college with somebody this was back years ago when my dad was there in the sixties, and I heard a rumor he was baby involved in it. But I don't know if he was, or not, he won't tell us to this day, but they somehow walked a cow from the Ag department at the school up the up to the top of the bell tower and the problem was cows. Can't walk backwards down steps. So. So the logistical issue that ensued of trying to get the Cal out of the bell tower. On that still apparently reverberates around the school to say at some point, you just gotta go. All right. This is going to be girls. Yeah. We're gonna kick in chickens, right? That's exactly right. Push it down the stairs. I'm kidding. I'm jay. Nobody wants. Humane shoot a piece of lead right through its skull. All right. So senior prank and model lab school in Richmond. Kentucky had a student get access to the front door jams remove them and parked, the VW meet veto beetle in front lobby of the school overnight. Everyone was like, what the hell the next morning, they came into the school and for the last day. So they had pokes parked a Volkswagen. Beetle in, in the lobby of the school pretty good. You could pull that all that's good stuff. Here's one for a senior prank went to the bait stores in the area, thousands and thousands of crickets released them at all. Chain? That's good. Come on. You. You saw the Fraser episode where hunting, the cricket with his dad, right. Ended up some great bonding. Yeah. There was a big bang theory to where they were hunting the cricket, and they couldn't find it. That's awesome. All right, we'll continue. I got a Texan Kobe. "Like there's a silver lining in all this, and you tell me if you feel otherwise, I didn't like this fight for you, because I feel like it would been very hard for you to top the way you beat Robbie Lawler, at UFC, two, one that was as patacula finish. And even if you win via third round KO as it was the first round KO, if you wouldn't be a decision they say, oh, it wasn't as good as the first time. And also, it felt like maybe you needed some time off after what happening. It's Comorros minute. So maybe this could be a blessing in disguise, my crazy here. I think everything from time. I've been in situations where I wanna go go go go go and God has a funny way of sitting down leaving to myself out of been in Arkansas. Right. Times had injuries. He wants his fight back. Immediately just leave making a show stay into to everybody else that, okay, this guy's woman by ocal fight. That's what the fans want to see the fans wanna see somebody to fight anywhere, anytime you love the same thing. So this was my gesture though on paper. When you're taking breaks think about these things you're having these internal conversations. But there is a man out there who is trying to hurt you and knock you out. That's when you can get caught. Right. That's when you can get hurt when you're having these conversations now. I guess so I guess I just wasn't really worried about it. I didn't feel endangering the fight at all. So. You know, Joe Johns good at what he does. He's he's wrestler, but I didn't feel like in physical danger. What did you make of the scorecards? I mean, it was close in my opinion. I feel like I won the fight. But I gave him some rounds with his with his wrestling control. That's for sure. I just don't feel like he won the fight even on the scorecards. I feel like I want but. As far as judging the flight on the whole. I mean, I clearly want fight. When you went to the back. Which is I know it's a maybe a personal version of this collective issue or talking about of how he was very clear about darkness as a part of life. Yes, there's a poem that has been it and the very last sonnet to Orpheus that has entered my bloodstream that has helped me a great deal in this time. I will say it. Quiet friend who has come so far. Parenthetically you see he realizes we've been on the way a long time. So he's talked. We talked to ourselves. We've been on the way a time. Okay. Started Kim qua- quiet friend who has come so far. In this uncontainable night, be the mystery at the crossroads of your senses. The meaning discovered there. And if the world shall cease to hear you. Say to the silent earth. I flow and to the rushing water speak. I am. So Chris what he's doing that poem is he is fairly being with the darkness with the pain and instead of hiding he sing is a bell tower. Stopping at about fourteen hours after began. Some twenty four hours after the fire. Nearly a billion dollars has been pledged including five hundred million from free billionaire families and the Paris public prosecutor says there's no obvious indication that the fire was arson. Fifty people are working on the investigation estimated to be very long and very complicated. One firefighter was injured. Nobody was hurt. The fire started around six thirty PM this after the building had been closed to the public for the evening. The company that was carrying out renovations. When the blaze broke said it would cooperate fully with the investigation. There is some speculation that it might have been an accident because of the restoration the Representative of the family that owns the firm said, quote, all I can tell you is that at the moment the fire began, none of my employees were on the site. We respect it all procedures close quote. At one point firefighters police officers in municipal workers formed a human chain tree move the treasury's in the cathedral, including centuries old clown of thorns made from reeds and gold. So parents the number of the very valuable if not priceless objects of art have been saved. And again, the investigation is underway. They've been all sorts of speculation. "Now, he was with bell tower for almost ten years. He moved over to the to see. And after one year they said now, we're good that really sucks. Yeah. I thought he was awesome me too. I loved him even from just from Bela Tor and even getting even more precision for him. You know this year, I started actually doing breakdowns four bell tower. Officially obviously, I've watched bell tour before, but you know, when I do my breakdowns. I got to go back and watch older older stuff. And it just just seeing what he did a gummy so excited, you know, appreciated a more so wh- to wear when he came over this year. This was you know, he only had an exactly pretty much one year run. And I was I was not surprised. It was very impressed and not only like the commentary guys. But even killed it on the desk. Like, the he wasn't able, you know, not just, you know, not stumbling his words and bringing who he is his knowledge but two different Jimmy's. And I don't mean that in a bad way. Like, you know, there was Jimmy that was color commentary, and there's Jimmy that was on the desk. And and I think he hit it out of the park. No matter where they put him. He's very humorous. He's very professional. He's very polished. He's very knowledgeable. I mean, he's got all the check marks plays. Well with others. I think what's missing though is. And this is me obviously knowing. Why they didn't sign him. They they're very public about it. They want you have see fighters to fill those roles. But here's the thing. I think I think the one thing that like if I was given one nine instead of ten is that little it factor that kind of DC brings on fight night a little bit where he's just joking. You know what I mean? But you got to take them serious because he's so great and cruise he may not be joking and making you laugh, but again, he's overwhelming you with the technical talk, and he's very sarcastic. And you'll get into it with the others. And I think that's just something. I think they wish Jimmy had a little bit of each one or even bist being business. Again is another guy that just comes really hard, and his brutally honest. And but again, I think that's that. That's why the wanted to go in that direction. Is that is that the is that correct? Is that the way it should be? No, we want somebody calling fights who appeals to the fans in that other way. But I think they are barring a little bit of WWE. You know, what I mean and wanting their guys to also be a little bit of a of an entertainer. Yeah. No, I don't disagree. And I could totally see why that is. But I guess selfishly I always kind of root for guys like Jimmy because even even in my position. I mean, it's not an annals of any sort whether you're broadcast analyst or an analyst in whatever form you wanna consider me on which would be more toward the bottom of the totem pole. No, no, no harm. No, no, no argument from me there. But it's it's all kind of similar to where man like what George said if you've got a a, you know fights in your background, it's going to be that much easier. I mean, I mean to be honest. I mean, I probably would have ended up fighting in some cage or another just because I've just done so many other martial arts. That I needed needed to get that experience and even at my age, and my health I still want that experience in a different way. But part of me also did it because I'm like, you know, what, you know, maybe a tough enough for a small organization need someone to call fights. Because ultimately like, you know, that's all I mean, this is my dream job. Man. I can't I can't even imagine ever, you know, being on a radio show much less writing for a website that got me in MMA. So I definitely don't want to, you know, not say I'm already doing my gym job so to speak. But man, one thing I love the personally guys left..
