"Again for another special episode of you're welcome. I'll tell you. I'm on the grind. I just got home from Australia, which is it's like it's a day in the future there twenty four hours ahead of us. So Joel insisted on asking me the entire week. What what's going to happen tomorrow? You're in the future. Tell me about it. I'd like to make a bet I was there for the Super Bowl. So enjoys mind, I was seeing the Super Bowl a day early which I assume was a bit a bit of a routine by him, but he played it. So straight face. I thought he was thinking at some points that maybe I really did have the answers for what tomorrow is going to bring at any rate. I've made it back. I'm here for one day. And then I'm off to Connecticut to the Mohegan sun back to back Bela Tor events this weekend, and I'll tell you right when I got to Australia. I was thrown a little bit off. It turned out that they are twenty. Four hours ahead of us. Exactly there. One day ahead, but twenty four hours ahead, which made it very easy to know. What time it was? You know, like if I wanted to call my family or call back home. I don't have to worry about calling them at three in the morning because it's noon where I am twenty four hours off. So I get in and I get in about eight PM, and as we're going up to our rooms. I even said to Gilbert, I said, well, good night. You know, he said, hey, you wanna go you want to do something? I think we wanted to get dinner. And I so I know a lot as late as it is. And I must tell you. We were going to go fishing the next morning. I'm not a big fisherman great fishing trip is lined up out there. We've got a four fifteen call time in the lobby to make it out to the water to get our fishing going. So I get up to the room. I gotta pull the drapes at like stays really light really late in Australia. So I get to the room. I order a quick bite food comes. I eat the food. I brush my teeth. I take my clothes off. I get into bed. And now it's about nine o'clock nine fifteen pm, even and I. Turn my when I'm in bed. I'm under the not tire. But what are we going to do? I gotta get some sleep for this four AM fishing time. Good night to adjust right? So I turn my head. And there happens to be a clock on the nightstand. That tells me it's two o'clock, two o'clock. I wonder why this phone is so off I wonder why this clock is off. So I grabbed my phone. No sure enough. It's nine PM. Will I realize for reasons unknown to me that my iphone which I take everywhere and always adjusts to the current never adjusted..

"Dot com. And for that. You're welcome. What's happening guys happy Wednesday? And thank you for joining another special episode of you're welcome. I gotta tell you. I'm on the road. I am in Honolulu. Hawaii Bela Tor has two shows this weekend, but cheetahs going to make his debut against Carballo. You've also got Chandler versus might teammates Brent premise for the world championship separate night's big events whole lot more action than that. I'm historic a couple of names that you that you guys want to stand, and I want you to know I'm sitting outside on a balcony right now. So if you feel like you hear something that sounds like the ocean in the background. Here's a clue there's a ocean in the background right behind me. So I gotta tell you guys. So many thoughts from the league in. Okay. Let's let's just start with max max comes out, and there was a dialogue, and we discussed it here in great detail. Okay. In the biggest confusion that I had. And some of the pushback even that I was offered you guys going. Despite with tag of was that they were supposed to fight earlier this year the same night, according versus Stephen put that a perspective for you. They didn't sigh they have not fought since they have not entered any kind of competitions of any kind sense. But the night they were originally supposed to fight max Holloway was a two and a half to one favorites at the time that the flight was scratched nothing happens in between and Brian Ortega goes into the fight as a two to one favorite Overman. Great. I'm just wondering why these are not mythical numbers that are made up. There may have by you guys you understand how the odds work you understand how the lines move in. Even if you have a rough idea, I'll just break it down for you row fest. It's wherever you bet on whoever you start bringing in the money, they like to call the action on that is what's ways the author of that is who becomes the favorite or the underdogs from you guys come up with the conclusion that Ortega was going to be max, which I'm completely fine with or. Giga was undefeated Stutz. He stop breaking. I got no problems there. He was the true number one contender. There was no part of this. And I want to be confused with questioning you guys supporting Brian or none of that. At all. I'm just wondering what just saw because nothing happened in between neither one of them got out there and fought neither one of them had won. Neither one of them have lost a woman, we know about this. Visit is what a different day makes. Right. When I came to you guys last Friday, max hall away. This is the narrative was all done possibly his career was over. It was speculated that he would not make the championship. Wait. It was talked about that he lost that he was dealing with personal problems. Now as I come today max Holloway is in the discussion for the pound for pound greatest fighter alive. It has been stated on the record by very reputable people that he is the greatest hundred forty five pound alive. The reason I suggest this for you is just approved the point one differ. Today makes this sport. So many times we'll see a great fighter, and they'll go out there. And they'll stumble in the fall, they'll skin there a little bit. And all of a sudden, they give written up. That's just the business. I live in I live in that world. I do that same thing to guys why see a bad performance. I will then just think. Okay. That's him. He's passed it. He can't do it in. What I suggested for you guys. What I'm looking for an answer for is that didn't happen from the time. The max was supposed to fight Ortega the first time, and he was a two and a half to one favorite to now where he was a two to one dog nothing had happened. It was just a narrative that was created that max was having way tissues that Matt was batch was perhaps having health issues, but we never looked into that. That was ever verified max to go back in time maximum amount to one that interview and Michael bisque caught him and sent to him. Michael Mashburn called say max, are you doing? Okay, something seems amiss here..

"Yes, exactly. The main is is Holloway or take a co main Shevchenko versus j. check. And what are your thoughts into LA Hoya? He's saying that what I'm going to try to do is open another platform for these guys to he gave you props, but he wants to open up another platform. Hey, listen, you want to, you know, you wanna get in this business and and create revenue for some of these other fighters and build guys up. I love it. Good for you. Yeah, you don't seem to be too concerned about any any other place they can go. It's all good for everybody. I mean, listen, I have a specific type of business. Okay. I'm looking for the best in the world. I'm looking for all the best in the world to fight each other to see who the greatest fighter is in every way class on planet earth. And then you know for other guys that that's not their thing, they're not at that level anymore, or you know, there's places like Bela Tor, like put non fights with names, you know, and. You know, rampage and van away fought for the fourth time. I think you know the things like that. There's always a place for other fights. Always going to be a place for like Chuck and team for Chuck and Tito to happen. No, those aren't the type of fights I do. That's not what I do completely different model here. So for for for for guys like that. And for people like listen, chuckled l. I'm sure would fucking disagree with me big time and Chuck with l. wants to fight with. There's a place for him to do that. Yeah, yes. To get first crack at everybody anyway and whoever you want, you guys can pretty much get. We'll look by like I like finding new young talent searching the world, like me a MAC do and guess..

"So it's just there's gracie's all over the country. I was going to ask you. I know that you know, as the. UFC and you would say Bela Tor and all these organizations have gained in popularity. There have been more rules stuff that you've been critical about that you even set earlier on in this interview. I'm wondering. Are you able to even enjoy like the professional style anime at this point, or is it just too far away from what your family created. Oh, no, I enjoy. I love will watch Jimmy. My family flights. Yeah. Are they fighting this coming Friday night and Balladur's that when they're fighting. No, no. My son signed fight late in the year, and my nest, my cousins, and they're fighting all live this year. Yeah. Tuba wanna, say the kind of evolution since the beginning, what kind of shape what kind of fight training. I like the back story on they do the, you know, show the training at clips on TV. I think that's all of that too. Yeah. Oh yes. Yep. When they do the background, both five is stuck in their life because they're not just. Yes, very true. That's what got me into it. I got into an later on the game, but like ultimate fighter and those type of things did show out of what these guys go through. You see, like the struggles of cutting weight and all that, and it has made the sport more mainstream and popularized it, and maybe just some even watered it down. But I think it's an evolution that needed to happen. Everything does need to evolve with time. I wanted to talk to you about what you're up to now, because I know you're not just on here. You know, giving giving us your time. You're also promoting stuff that you're working on, and I wanna make sure we get it out there. I was looking at Heus Gracie dot com. "Okay but can they still are they going to enhance the product once people do watch and create that balance and so that's the question access to to figure out here is is what value jim ross have live in that role in like with bela tor there was a thought well we can switch off morrow at the beginning mara when goldberg one is the welcome to the show person and the other is the play by play person with jim though his strength is just being a really good play by play guy when he knows the product his strength is in standing in front of the camera at the beginning of a show introducing it with energy and vibrates it's just like so it's actually less jim is less there's only one really good way to use jim ross where with goldberg there's a better way that isn't putting him in the place of weakness at this point i agree with that in general though i would add a caveat that if i think you could because if used jim russia's is like for one batch at ed vessel mania few times and i thought it's generally worked pretty darn well if you had like these live specials and you had you had a callous and kelly do most of the show and then you brought in jim ross for a one of the big match at the ad probably not the main of that because that's sort of a weird message but maybe the second biggest match on the card and he did he did all this preparation made sure that he knew everything that was going on here here all the key points that we're trying to get across here i think he could be very effective in one match in terms of adding that sort of flavor to the show that people like along with having the you know the real knowledge ability to to deliver on.

"Still some kind of role in emma makes i think he really gets it and you can see him for one night and i'm really happy really happy that for a good cause yeah and also you know very interesting news there from scott coker about maybe offering these international shows via an app which is something that i've been pushing for every single outlet under the sun i was watching march madness yesterday via the march madness app ways to monetize this so i just feel like in two thousand eighteen you gotta figure this out you wanna do your show tapeh did you know by the way that if you are on the west coast right and you don't have direct tv that not only are you getting it via tape delay bell tour but you're getting the tape delay of the tape delay you know that right so they don't like if you watch the abc game of the week between the rockets and the warriors sunday at two thirty p eastern time it's airing at eleven thirty am pacific time make sense to write nfl in la airs at ten am pacific time one pm eastern here in california bela tor which airs at nine pm eastern here in the states airs at nine pm pacific so unless you have direct tv every bell to our vent is tape delayed and then if you're watching an international event it's the tape delay of the tape delay so you're getting this like nine hours later almost like half a day later.
