"Archer battery has Russian. I know he's a part of your adopted home country. His adopted home country, your home country, their court. But archer better be able to Russian. He was born in Russia, he competed for Russia in the amateurs winning a plethora of medals over the course of his time. There, yes, he's been in Canada for like more than a decade as families there. But can we stop differentiating between archer better be of endometrial? Can we just stop? Like, what the WBC is effectively saying? Is if Dmitry beeville went out and became a citizen of Fiji, then he would be okay on their part because he'd have a dual citizenship and he can say fijian, which I think is the way you say it. Or better yet, peoples of Korean descent if he leaned into that and became a citizen of South Korea, like would that satisfy the WBC's claims. Like, we got to like, I don't have a problem with sanctioning bodies saying Russians or Belarusians can't compete for our titles. It's a stand that, you know, look, I think it's this sa merit to it. But it's hypocritical to sit there and say archer better be of Canadian. Like, it just is. Archer better be of is Russian. He is Russian. And if you gave him truth serum, I bet he'd say I'm Russian. He is as Russia's Dmitri beeville and it drives me crazy that the WBC does. I don't know if you have an opinion on that, but that's what I saw that. Well, I think that all they're looking for, which again, is just like a token gesture, is just saying that you have a different home town. It's just to pretend like you're from somewhere else. Apparently to them is the same as like a denouncement of the Russian regime. I think it's a token gesture that is probably not necessary at this. By the way, he said Dmitry people has to apply for an exemption implying that he would give him one. So this is not a hard and fast rule that you have about Russians not competing for your titles. And spare me the idea that if better be of beeville was agreed upon that the WBC wouldn't want to get involved. They want that fee. They want to be part of that fight. They ain't backing out of that under any circumstances there. So one thing on mongeau, while we're talking about him, the obvious fight for mangia is Gennady Golovkin. And we're now into February, and we have no idea what Gennady Golovkin is going to do. I've been told that top rank beginning this month is going to really press for the ibf mandatory, which is falco, I believe. Yeah. And it felt kind of sorry. And say, you know, look, and the IVF is one of those sanctioning bodies that does follow the rules. And it's very possible that top rank could force either a per spid situation or forcing gennady to vacate the title. I just want to do that. He's very proud of those titles. He wants to hold on to them. And I think somewhere in his mind and somewhere in the minds of his team, they believe that somebody is out there that's going to give him a bunch of money to fight falco or fights eris landy Lara, who's the other mandatory. I don't see it. Gennady burned the bridge with his own pretty good on the way out the door kind of criticizing them and all the money they paid him. I don't see them swooping in to make a deal. Like, golovkin, he should have been spending the last month trying to cut a deal against mongi. Mongeau golovkin is an excellent fight at a 160 pounds. Mongia, big guy at one 60, gotten a lot better over the last 5 years. Gin, still pretty good, but not the fighter he was, you know, 5 years ago. And there's a story there, obviously, with magia getting shot down to face golovkin back in 2018. Corey, I don't understand why golovkin hasn't been just running towards that fight because a big fight, it's a marketable fight. It could probably convince at least the WBA to give you a break, maybe a top rank to have their guy stand down for a minute. I just don't know, I don't know what his endgame is here because at some point he's going to be pressed into one of these mandatories and these mandatories do not inspire anyone. A fight with golovkin and falco is not great like a fight with golovkin and Lara is not great. I just don't understand what the game plan is for team golovkin at this point. Yeah, I think there's a lot. There's things happening on several fronts here. I think one is as you mentioned, just that the lack of opponents that may either engender enthusiasm from the crowd plus pay him the amount of money that perhaps he's used to at this point in his career and he was making a boatload of money for his last couple of fights. That money may not be out there for him anymore. So I think that is one issue. I can see, you know, if top rank were to make a play for that, I can't see, you know, bringing triple G to ESPN. They could package that in like a big marketing hype, triple G on ESPN for the first time. It could be made into a big deal. Whether that's enough money for him or whether that matchup inspires him. I don't know. You probably still have to do it. I don't know how they do it on ESPN Leonard. You probably still have to do it on pay per view and that's dead. That's dead on pay per view. Yeah, well, I think the other point that I was getting to with golovkin, which is the stage that he's at in his career. And I'm going to make a comparison here that stick with me for a moment. Chris, you and I, we both love pop music, right? We're fans of a percent love pop music. A phenomenon. A phenomenon in pop music is when you look at kind of the biggest stars in pop or hip hop, they have fans. They have Stan culture, right? They have people that really get behind them and the thing that often drives that kind of fervent fandom is a little bit of friction, right? It's a little bit of debate. And golovkin is one of the most commercially successful fighters of this era, one of the most commercially recognizable fighters of this era. But more than that, within the hardcore boxing fan base, one thing that's really driven triple G over the years has been is fan base because they've always had a cause to take up whether it's as the fighter who isn't getting enough attention, the fighter that's being ducked, the fighter that they perceived was wrong against Canelo. So on and so forth. Now at this point that that Canelo trilogy is done and triple G is 40 going to be 41 soon. What is, what is the cause for them to take up? And what I'm saying is, so now that he's lost in the biggest commercial fight of his career and now that he's kind of faded even to the hardcore boxing fans, what slice of that pie is left, what is the audience left for triple G? And that's kind of what we're talking about. And if it's fractioned a little bit, is that enough to satisfy him? Is it enough to be on linear pay per view? That's really the battle is that even his most fervent supporters, I don't know what they're chewing on anymore. I guess other than, yeah, can the old champion beat up the young stud in mungia or whoever they put in front of him? Can he have one last great stand? That's really what you're selling at this point. I agree. Look, the pay per views for Canelo underperformed. So there's no reason to believe that there is this audience out there still looking to pay for Gennady Golovkin fights. And honestly, he'd probably be lucky to crack 7 figures if he fought his two mandatories, whether it was falco or Lara. I just don't see it. Maybe if it's pay per view, you can squeeze a little bit of money out of it, but I just, I don't see it. And that's why I wonder what he wants out of his career. He's 40 years old. He's 41 now. They just turned it in December. I think he turned. Well, he turned 40, he made the day that he fought Murray. 41 in April. April. So he's closing in. He's not going to fight until his 41st birthday. And his reaction after the Canelo fight suggested he believes there's still something left in the tank. These sanctioning bodies can and should force the issue over the next few weeks because we got to figure out what he wants to do with his career. But if anybody on

"Had the opportunity to call most of his recent fights. And I think his defense is getting a little bit better. His offense is getting exponentially better. He throws 6, 7, 8 punch combinations every single time. He has a great chin like he's shown that he rarely has anything coming back. So if you have in one round the guy fires back at you, your defense, and your offense can also be good because you're not worried as much, right? You're in there against Charlotte and you know he can hit and whatever you think of Charlotte and I agree there's inherent problems with Charlotte. But you know he can hit and he's quick and he's athletic. And so he's going to create issues in Jaime's fighting these guys that he's a 20 to one favorite I mean it's ridiculous and the public deserves better on the television deserves better and he deserves better. And I think he has some talent like the fact when he beat I was going to say oba car. Who was it that he beat down? The welterweight that he beat for a title, the slick boxer. Yes, the one that B coto and the blacking on. Okay, we're both liking. Yes. But he could fight, he was a good, you know, much smaller, but he moved up to one 54 fought. And I thought, at that point, hey, this kid is got something in him. And then he wanted to fight go off and write after that. But now Saddam Ali sadly. The fact that he's so acquiescent to what is management wants to do tells me that he's willing just to pick up paychecks and not really, I loved what Dmitry bivol said last week to you in the ring. It's not about money. It's about legacy. And to me, when I heard that, I just, you know, I felt so good because that's what I've been dying to hear fighters say. And God bless you Dmitry bevel for saying that. I believe him too. I believe all things being equal, Dimitri beeville would happily take an archer better be a fight over Canelo, even if the money was not as substantial. So I think he's about that legacy. Let's talk about for a second coming off the win over coming off the win in Abu Dhabi this weekend. I'm blank Gilbert Ramirez, of course, coming up the win over zerto. Second straight big win of the year for Dmitry beeville. First of all, what did you think about his performance last weekend? I thought he looked good. What did I have attended to, I believe I had got it right around there. 9 three. And I just thought zerto did not fight, right? I mean, I was disappointed in Zorro's another guy. He had been matched easily almost this whole career. Like his hardest fights were probably Jesse Hart. Jesse Hart's a tough guy, but he's not an elite boxer. And that was tough as fight. So now you get up to a guy a world class guy, arguably a top ten pound for pound guy, and he was in over his head.

"Papered all over his gym are pictures of you with the caption, fight a real fighter. So you are very much in the mind of team. Rem three. That's quite flattering, but good luck to him. And we'll talk the legal stuff out. But fair play to him. I mean, I know the criticism he's not fault or real fights are Anderson field was 48, but there's a lot of prospects that for nobody for ten fights. So I like what he's doing. I think he's bringing eyeballs to a sport and good luck to him. And you've said this before, but you don't foresee any issues with a Serrano Taylor talks with what's going on with it. Two big opportunity for our clients to be childish. But the other stuff will get sorted out. Eddie appreciate a man. Good luck on Saturday. Thanks, mate. Time not for this week's picks brought to you by FanDuel and I am in Abu Dhabi this week, so I'm focused on the card headlined by Dmitry beeville and zurda Ramirez, but I am not gambling this week on beeville Ramirez. The odds, just not grint. I like B roll to win that fight. You gotta bet a lot to win a little in that matchup. So I'm gonna look a little further down on the card. To the co main event, the women's title unification fight between Jessica mccaskill and chantel Cameron. This is for all the belts at a 140 pounds. Mccaskill, the undisputed champion now, at one 47, Cameron, who has two belts at one 40, they're going to fight for all the belts at a 140 pounds. You got all that? A little bit confusing. But it's a big fight in women's boxing. I like the underdog in this fight. Jessica mccaskill is coming in as a plus 138 underdog. Jessica mccaskill has been on a roll lately. She won the undisputed title by beating Cecilia brekus. That was a big win for her. She followed that up by winning a rematch against bregu so she had two defining wins over the last couple of years. Her last two fights, candy Wyatt, she won by knockout, Alma Barra. She won by knockout.

"Kind of okay, I need to maybe do a bit more here. He seems to be able to do it. I think he'll struggle early just with the size and trying to work out Ramirez, but once he starts to kind of gauge distance and size and maybe test, maybe even get hit with something just to kind of fill the power. I think we are going to see a bit of all that is, I don't want to say the number one because I think this perturbative, but it's definitely number two in the division. The key to me is how does Ramirez use that size? Because he's going to try to walk him down. That's his game plan. All his team this week have talked about that being his game plan. We've seen him do it time and again. Be voldo is really good against that type of style. I mean, we call the Joe Smith fight several years ago, Joe Smith is a pressure fighter. Yeah. And besides that one shot in the 11th round where Smith buckled beeville and he gave him ten more seconds who knows what, but who happened. But besides that moment, he lost every round. It was a complete wipeout. And talking to beeville team this week. They know he's got to move. He can't stand there and he's not going to stand there in trouble. Why would you? That was silly. So if Ramirez is capable of cutting the ring off, walking B roll down, throwing the kind of volume combinations we've seen him throw in other fights. I give him half a chance, but that's going to be difficult. Like Ramirez, I think he's talented. His best wins, though, came against Jesse Hart. Like those are the best wins on his resume. And at light heavyweight, he hasn't had the opportunity, not through his own fault. He's fought who he's had to, as we said. But at light heavyweight he has not had the opportunity to test himself at the highest level. So this will be, I think, Gilberto Ramirez going from B level opponents to an AA plus level opponent. Which doesn't mean he can't be up there with an AA plus, right? Because what he's beating all the B level opponents, but you're right. I mean, it's probably the most misleading 44 in our record. There is, or has ever been in the sport, right?

"Is boxing with Chris Manning. How's somebody punch him in the face? Anthony Joshua is a composed and ferocious finisher. Watch this. Hosted by SI's Chris mannix. That was my moment. Now with interviews, analysis and everything going on in the world of boxing. When you have talent, you are given another chance. Here's Chris mannix. All right, welcome back to boxing with Chris mannix part of the volume sports podcast network. We've got a great show for you this week. I am coming to you from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. I am here as part of the broadcast team for the zone fight. Dmitry beeville Gilberto Ramirez terrific fight. I'm going to get into that and much more with my guest this week. Ali Oladipo, a broadcaster with the zone. There's a lot of other media over in the UK. He's going to join me. Eddie Hearn, the promoter of this event, he's going to join me to run through a whole bunch of topics. So we've got a lot to get to on this show. But I did want to start off the top. By bringing attention to something I saw last week. Last week, on the undercard of the show headlined by William zapata and JoJo Diaz, you had a super bantamweight fight between two undefeated prospects. Hector Valdez, who was the golden boy promoted prospect, and max or nelas, who is a free agent prospect. Also undefeated, both 15 and O, they fought in the first fight of that telecast. And look, I'm not going to sit here and say it was a great fight, but this was a fight that max or Nas clearly won. He controlled the ring with his movement. He landed more punches, his combination punching was effective. The eyeball test just told you that he won the fight. Yet at the end of the fight, two of the three judges scored the fight for Valdez 97 to 93. They effectively gave Hector Valdez 7 of the ten rounds. That's lunacy. We're going to name these judges too.

"If you're not betting with FanDuel, you are doing it incorrectly. We are here in Las Vegas for the big one. Canelo Álvarez, Gennady Golovkin, trilogy completing super middleweight championship undisputed status on the line. This is as big as it gets in boxing right now. And right now, Canelo Álvarez is a big favorite. -5 50, according to FanDuel, Gennady Golovkin plus four ten. I believe Alvarez wins. I know he's coming off a loss to Dmitri beeville, but talking to Canelo this week. It feels like he was more focused for this training camp than he was for beeville wasn't playing as much golf over the last few months and is really locked in on getting a clear win against his longtime rival. So take Canelo Álvarez to win this fight at -5 50, load up on it. He's going to win, I believe it. Now, how he wins. This week can make a little bit of money. Alvarez by decision is minus one ten. That's the bet that I like. A lot of people are saying Canelo Álvarez is going to go for a knockout. Could be the first guy to stop Gennady Golovkin. And maybe he will be. But Gennady Golovkin, even at age 40, has a granite chin and has it's a cliche, but has that heart of a champion. I just don't believe the golovkin is going to get stopped in what could be his final significant fight. So I'm taking kennel to win and I'm taking him to win by points. I think this fight is a little more clear on the scorecards than the previous two fights have been. So canola win Canelo win by points, those are my picks, brought to you by FanDuel. That's it for this week's episode. My thanks to Keith idex for joining the show, as always, subscribe, rate, review this podcast on Apple podcast, Spotify, wherever you download podcasts. And I will see you Saturday night after the fight between Canelo and triple G for a special bonus podcast.

"Property that aired on NBC Sports Network before and largely during the throws of the pandemic, but it hasn't had any shows in what, almost a year now, close to it, I think, off the top of my head, and I don't think it's coming back, because I don't think NBC Sports Network is gone. It doesn't really have a home on USA and main network NBC doesn't seem to be, it seems to be a non starter for that kind of boxing. So when you go on to a streaming service that isn't monitored by Nielsen ratings, it can be problematic to draw the kind of advertising or sponsorship to keep a entity like ring city or anybody else afloat. So that's a long way of saying I don't really know where PBC goes once this Fox relationship completely expires, but if Fox is out, it's going to have to find a platform. Other than showtime, if it intends to keep the same inventory, the same number of fighters on the roster as it has right now. So that's sort of my wide ranging thoughts on PBC and where it goes from there. Michael, on Instagram, he asks, do you like zerto versus beeville more than bootsie versus beeville? Unequivocally, yes. Zerto beeville is a fascinating fight. Zerto is undefeated. But he is still largely untested. He's a former title holder at a 168 pounds, but the biggest wins of his career came against one guy against Jesse Hart. He's undefeated, a lot of knockouts at light heavyweight, but he has not been tested, no matter what it says about the rankings of guys like Dominic bosel and others that he's had to face. But he's big, he's probably gonna weigh 200 plus pounds on Fight Night and he is an aggressive come forward fighter that's gonna make beeville fight. I've been a champion of Joshua buoyancy since the Olympics go back. Google, it's all I've written about him. I've talked about it. I love the guy's talent. I don't know that he's ready for Dimitri beeville. I would love to see boats he go forward with this eliminator in the IVF for against Jon Pascal. I think that's another step up type opponent for him, another name to put on his resume.

"I'm not afraid to lose. I'm going to take that risk every day. I need to regret you have said that the loss will actually make you a better, more dangerous fighter. Why do you believe that? I believe that because I have more and motivation, I just need to get back in the ring and after my loss and that made me more dangerous. And especially with this fight because we got up in talk a lot of things about me before. And I don't like that kind of people say bad things behind you and then when you in front, they pretend to be a nice guy or respect you. I don't like that kind of people. So that's made me feel more motivated. I'm going to train like never in my life. You could Eddie Hearn said recently that the day after the beeville fight, he played golf with you. And you were angry. You said I want the rematch. Get me the rematch. What changed in the days after that? Why did you decide to turn to this third fight with golovkin and wait till later for the rematch? No, because we have the contacts are ready. So it's a lot of things. We need to change and maybe a lot of things happen in the process, right? And I think this is the correct time for this fight. It's no other time. This is the correct time. But after the fight, I say, I just wonder much in September. And this, but we have that control ready. So. Nothing can do about it. So here's an interesting question, I think. You're set for September. What do you want Dimitri beeville to do between now and next may? Would you like it if you went out and fought archer better bev for the undisputed title or would you rather him take a safer fight and wait to fight you in May? Oh, I don't care. I don't care what he is going to do. I just want my chance. Would it matter to you though if he had lost a better be of in between with that matter to you? We need to see, but we need to see, right? But I think maybe I don't care. But I like key. Keep greening is better for me. We kind of cool to have him be undisputed at one 75. You undisputed a one 68. That would make that fight even bigger if that's even possible. Yeah, of course. You haven't looked gennady in the eye for about four years now. You did it in California in New York at Yankee Stadium. When you look at him now, what do you see? I see a guy in the floor..

"Wow, I could go a lot of different ways with that. You're bound to pick up some stuff along the way. I mean, it's better than the other things you could pick up along the way in Vegas, I guess, right? That is correct. That is correct. It is. I'll be back in Vegas. I'm sure soon enough, including for the Canelo golovkin trilogy. Now there's no official announcement yet on the venue for Canelo golovkin three. That was not included in the release this week about the signing an agreement of that deal September 17th at a 168 pounds, the undisputed championship on the line in Canelo golovkin three, but I'm going to assume it's in Las Vegas because fights like this are always in Las Vegas. So we'll see what happens there. Keith, I guess your reaction first to Canelo bypassing the rematch with to meet your beeville to go straight into a third fight with Gennady Golovkin. Chris, I think from a business standpoint, it was their only alternative because if he goes and fights Bill ball again and the result is similar, then it really, really takes the shine off of a third fight with golovkin, which some fans have expressed disinterest in already. You don't want to have him coming off of back to back losses to bivol. Going into that third fight with gloves. So I think this was the only way for him to go from a business standpoint and also in terms of rebuilding his confidence. He's a favorite in the fight against golovkin glove, and his 40 years old. Came back to beat maratha in a very convincing fashion, but didn't look particularly great in the first four or 5 rounds of that fight. So Canelo is a big favorite here. He was back down to a 168 pounds where he's clearly more comfortable. He'll be the he's not a taller fighter than golovkin, but he's more accustomed to the weight because golovkin has been a middleweight throughout his career. So Canelo seemingly has all the advantages going into this third fight. I think that's why this third fight is happening next as opposed to him fighting bivol again. The devil rematch will be there. Now, if we were to lose to golovkin, of course, I don't know what need there would be for him to fight bivol again. But I think this was the smartest way for them to go. He'll still make a lot of money for fighting glove can again. There still is significant interest in that third fight because there is a rivalry there. Of course, the first fight was considered a fight glove can one resulted in a controversial draw. The second fight, I thought Canelo won the fight. So I just think it was the only way for them to go here, the fight was pretty set for September 17th. And you're right, Chris, I think it will be at T mobile arena in Las Vegas. I don't see it happening any other way. They have had substantial discussions with SoFi September 17th. Yeah, I agree. I think that this was the only way to go. You don't do the golovkin fight now. Who knows if it's ever going to be there? Not only could Canelo lose again to Dmitry beeville, but if your golovkin and you're waiting around until May of 2023, there's a chance that you could take a fight where you would lose. And it would be 41 years old in May of 2023, which makes it even more challenging for a fight like that. Everything just pointed to this fight ultimately taking place. And look, there's a chance that the Dmitri bevo fight will be even bigger if they push it to May of next year because beeville, I don't know what he's going to do in his next fight. I don't know if he does what Eddie Hearn is pushing for, which is take on a Joshua buoyancy. I don't know if he responds to the 9 million press releases that you and I get from bob trigger about Gilberto Ramirez and his challenge to Dmitri beeville, which we've been getting for well over a year now, or if he waits and sees if archer better be of and Joe Smith ends in the kind of way that would allow the winner of that fight to take him on before the end of the year. That's probably the preferred option for Dmitry beeville, but we'll see how that goes. But if Dmitry beeville can become undisputed at one 75 and you go into next year with Canelo Álvarez beeville, Alvarez undisputed at one 68, beeville undisputed at one 75, that's massive, like that is massive. Like, it makes that rematch ten times bigger than what it was. And to your point about golovkin, as much as some of the hardcore fans bellyache over seeing Canelo golovkin three, there are twice as many mainstream fans that have interested. There's R like if you and I are out kind of in the mainstream community a lot, like most boxing fans, many boxing fans are of the casual variety. They know Canelo golovkin three, like they know that fight. And you know, I don't know what the final pay per view numbers were for can those last fight. This will probably do over a million. It just will. It's just a marketable fight, a big mainstream fight that will and given that they're making it in a timely manner a wheel to promote it in the proper way. We'll have a lot of buzz among casual boxing fans in the weeks and months to come. So this to me was a total no brainer. Now, let me pivot to the fight itself. It will be contested at one 68. Golovkin has not fought as a full fledged 168 pounder. That in and of itself Keith is remarkable. I mean, the guy has been fighting at middleweight since like what, 2004 with the occasional dalliance above, you know, a 160 pounds with Steve rolls or something else, maybe your oldest girl I don't really remember. But this guy is going to move up to one 68. Could that benefit Gennady Golovkin in a fight like this? I think it could. I mean, it really speaks to his level of consistency and discipline that he was able to fight at or around the middleweight limit for so long. He turned pro I believe in 2007, that's a long time. That's 15 years to be at the same weight. So, but even amateurs. Amateur he was doing a lot. So it's a long time. And he'll be fresher, you know, he'll, he won't have to get down to a 160 pounds. He's a little taller than Canelo. He's a couple of inches taller than him. So yeah, maybe there'll be some maybe there'll be a resurgence in gennady golov can because he doesn't have to get down to the middleweight limit for this fight. I still think he's at a significant disadvantage just because Canelo is still in his physical prime. He has a lot of fights for a 31 year old guy. He has, I believe, 61 fights now. So he's been at it as a professional since he was 15 years old. So he, if there's such a thing as an old 31, that would be Canelo, although there's no signs of him really slowing down significantly in the ring. He's an old 31 and that he has so many fights on his record. But he has all the advantages. I mean, this fight is designed for him to win design for him to look good. And of course, golovkin will come to fight. He's got a lot of pride. This is a guy he intensely dislikes. So it's going to be an interesting fight, but I just think more so than the first two fights, Canelo has distinct advantages going into this fight. And I would be, I don't know if stunned is the right word, but I would be very surprised if he lost this fight. Yeah, you know, golovkin's been softened up to the body a lot over the years. Beginning with the Sergei dervin fight a few years ago, when you could see even against Murata, his last flight, he took some shots of the body that clearly affected him. I would expect Canelo to have a game plan that attacks that early and often and the most likely outcome here is that we see something decisive for the first time in this trilogy between these two guys. Let me ask, then, about people, I just kind of laid out what the options are likely to be for him before the end of the year. What do you think beeville, his team, what do you think they're.

"This is boxing with Chris Manning. Now somebody punch him in the face. Anthony Joshua is a composed and ferocious finisher. Watch this. Hosted by SI's Chris mannix. That was my moment. Now with interviews, analysis and everything going on in the world of boxing. When you have talent, you are given another chance. Here's Chris mannix. All right, Chris mannix here with Sergio Moro former junior middleweight champion. We were both ringside for Canelo Álvarez, Dmitri beeville and Sergio. This was the biggest upset of the year. One of the biggest upsets we've seen a wild Dmitry beeville out boxes Canelo Álvarez to take a unanimous decision. Give me your just big picture takeaways from what you saw tonight. The judges got it right. I got it right. And a lot of people that know what they're watching and what to expect from such a polished fighter and a strong disciplined mind like beeville, he did it, but we doubted it whether he can do it for 12 rounds. We doubt it, that how is he going to react when he gets punched? Was he going to be able to hurt all those questions got answered because one, we really didn't see Canelo then anything that's significant. So we don't know if B roll could take a shot and like the great pernell Whitaker used to say, I don't know if I can take a shot and I don't want to find out. We didn't find out controlled everything did everything right in Canelo was frustrated from round three for he just couldn't get anything going. You know, my biggest concern about beeville coming in is a concern I've had with a lot of Canelo opponents that they go from sea level to a level that they don't have that almost Canelo fighter, you know, where it's Caleb Plant never fought anyone on Canelo's level. Billy Joe Saunders had only fought David lemieux. Dmitry bevel does have a quality win over Joe Smith, but he has not fought anyone on Canelo's level. So I was concerned about that going into the fight, but then like the first round happens and the second round happens and be Volt does not look rattled. He came in with an excellent game plan. He and Joel Diaz said, we're going to use the jab. We're going to control the distance and we are going to use our right hand smartly in this fight. I thought, you know, putting aside what he did, how physically strong he was in the ring, his game plan was flawless. And I'm glad you brought up ideas because coach Antonio Diaz and Joel Diaz both deserve a lot of credit for this because they built a game plan around a fighter that can follow it all the way to the end, but they had to take chances as well. It wasn't just like it was a strategic jab fest. No, he fought Canelo. He threw combinations at him. He backed them up. He had him against the ropes. It was all around something special to watch him for Canelo discouraging. I don't know if it was frustration, but he looked fatigued as well. He was getting up from the stool really early shaking out his legs. Blessing himself and they were frustrated with him in the corner. I wish they would have let me translate in the corner because they were scolding him from like the 7th 8th round. They knew. They thought they showed concern 7 days around. Then they started admonishing them. They knew he was down. Canelo said after the fight thought I did enough to win. I don't think anyone knows so in those later rounds thought Canelo was winning. No, and they were saying, you know, what's going on? We need this round. Do you need us to get going? What's wrong? Do you feel good? These are things that got missed, but Canelo just was frustrated. He couldn't get anything going. He thought normally guys would block and he can pierce the block, especially the more the rounds when they get more tired, your arms start getting more fatigued and obviously you can't block as strong. People was calm and he was just like picking everything up and then he bounced around the ring. It was just great, great, great performance. When did at what point during the fight, did you think, oh man, can I was kind of in some trouble here? Because we've seen guys have some success against Canelo early on. He turns the tide, hits him with a big punch. When did you start to think like, uh oh, this guy could be in for a tough night. Yeah, you know, we realized there was going to be a difficult fight for him by the third round, but I realized that Canelo was controlled by that like the 8th. I think I told Todd I go, no, no, he said he might be losing. No, he's not a Canelo is not losing. He's losing this fight. And I think everyone knew it, including team canal. I agree with that. When I started to see Canelo in those middle rounds, boxing kind of with his hands down, a frustrated look on his face. Remember was the round it was. Right in the middle rounds. Maybe the 6th, I want to say when Canelo took like 8, 9 punches in a row, leaning against the ropes, wave below, and people just stood there. Like he was disciplined throughout that. And that comes from something you talk about a lot with boxers. Amateur background. Beeville does not have this deep pro resume, but he is a decorated amateur. A lot of gold medals from international tournaments on his resume. I think that paid off for him tonight. International tournament is world championships. I mean, that experience goes a long way. I didn't have that much amateur experience, so when I was turning pro, I was learning on the job. I was in a polished boxer. I didn't use the jab. Below on the other hand, he's a complete opposite. He uses a jab. Everything is established off. And everyone talks about ring generalship. A lot of people don't know where it means. Watch the spot. That was to fight lots of fight with Dimitri bubon canel. That ring generalship one O one at its best. Yeah, he was unbelievable out there. Did you watch that fight and think, all right, maybe Canelo is not a light heavyweight, because this was his second go around at light heavyweight, but the first one back in 2019 was a carefully curated pick. I mean, Sergey kovalev was the biggest name at light heavyweight at that time, but I don't think anyone thought he was the best light heavyweight. He was in his late 30s. He was coming off a really tough fight against Anthony yard. A year before that, he was knocked out by a ledyard Alvarez. He was kind of the perfect light heavyweight opponent to pick. This to me was honestly like Canelo's light heavyweight debut. Like this was Canelo against a 31 year old undefeated in his prime, big hitter, great boxer light heavyweight. I think we might have seen that maybe we've seen the limit of Canelo Álvarez's weight greatness, like that one 68 might be the ceiling for a fighter later. And there's nothing wrong with that. No. There is nothing wrong with it. Because what do you mean? Champion started. While he started at one 50 or one 49 or whatever it was, but this is a 5 foot 8 fighter. I mean, he's not going to be able to grow taller to grow into that mass. So he's just going to get wider and we see that he's muscular. He's getting wider, but you're going to need more than a unity reach and you're going to need height and of course you're going to have to match power for power for these big monsters at one 75. That's why when you were talking about him moving up to heavyweight to fight. He was talking about slap yourself, man. It's what were you talking about. Cruiserweight, I still thought it was a bad idea. He was talking about it. It was a bad idea, but he can do it because he's great. You're not. So Canelo could actually get away by saying and people would listen. I didn't listen. I thought it was a ridiculous idea because come on, man. You can't grow into that frame. And even beeville who's not the biggest light heavyweight, he out muscled and outsized them today. So for him to be in front of better be of, or a Joe Smith, don't weigh. So, all right, well, along those lines then, Canelo Álvarez said he was going to exercise his rematch clause against people. They're going to try to make that fight. At least right now, for September, would you advise that? Would you do that if you were him? Or would you go back to one 68? Start looking at the Jamal Charlotte, even the Gennady Golovkin. You could probably still do the golovkin fight at one 68 and make a lot of money off of what would you do if you were canal? Well, look, I'm from a Mexican background.

"That case is special. I don't think that'll ever be done again. When you're that old. But if yes, I don't want to be fighting up 50 years old. Yeah, that's kind of a dangerous sport to be in at that age. You're preparing for this fight against beeville. And one thing I was reading about was you're going vegan for this fight. Why did you make that decision? And I try. And now a 100% but I try and I feel good. Why did you decide to try? I saw I watched documental on Netflix about the food and everything and that's why not the bad vegan documentary. Was that the one you watched? I don't know how. Something is a name. Okay. Okay. And does it make you as it had an effect on you? Do you like it? Oh, I like it. I like it. Talk about the food..

"If he's going to win, Canelo, he's going to have to get into the range where he can engage before enough to use these advantages. To hurt people, to make them feel as power of the smaller man who's now bigger. He's going to have to hurt him in the body, take some of the air out of his legs, the tires as I like to say at ESPN. Take some of the air out of those radios, so he can use his legs because we will win two ways. Jab and legs jab and legs. I think it's going to be very interesting, Ken. To see how big this ring is, because of Canelo, who's the golden goes up boxing, gets his way with decision with everything, whatever. Forget it. He gets his way with everything. He makes the E lays the golden eggs. If he gets his people get their way, this is going to be fought in a telephone booth. I mean, like if he could get away with it, I mean, the smaller the ring, the better for Canelo, the bigger the ring, the better for people. So that's number one. That's the first part of the fight. I'm pretty confident that Canelo has promoters and managers will have every single advantage known to man in his corner. If he needs a bigger ring, it'll be as big as the entire arena. If you need shorter rounds, they'd probably make them shorter. And as I always use to say when I was going to fight on ESPN, that doesn't make you the amazing crest. I'm just pointing out that all the things. I agree. It would be good for beeville will not be available to him. That's for 100% certain. That's the first thing. How big is the ring going to be? And like head said, if you've got a bet on him, probably my bookie will have that closed. That's not on the board. Off the board. Off the board, baby. Off the board. They're not stupid over there at my bookie. Off the board. So if the pure breakdown of this fight, as I was given it to you, B will go to win, it's going to be legs and jab. He's going to out jab him. He's going to control range. He's not going to let the stronger Canelo get into range to go to the body, to take his legs away, to hurt him. I'll tell you something that Canelo is really good at. He don't get credit for timing guys as they punch. Here's sometimes get into that near that pocket area. And as you're throwing ahead time, right with your bang. Bang. It's beautiful. It is timing is really good. And he'll be able to nail you as you're throwing. He needs to do that to win this fight. He needs to get into position where Babel was a very cautious guy, very careful, very smart boxer where people, as he's drawn his combinations, which he usually does have these steps out. He likes to go in and out, people. He's like a yo yo. Up and down, in and out. Get off his step out. You come in here. You don't come in and come right back and put together. That's what he'll put them together. If he gets those spots where he does that, and he comes back to put those combos together, which you probably will. That's where Canelo has either lore him in or just be ready for him. And time him with something in between those shots to slow him down. To hurt him. So that's, that's what I see. For this fight, as far as either one of them winning, beeville gotta be on the outside, gotta be with champs, legs. Gotta stop from you can't engage with Canelo too much. If he does, he better do it on his terms. Get out, get them off at the right time and get out. If he stays there a little too long, he might get timed by Canelo. I'll tell you one thing I do know. There's no chance I'm on earth. I had to think for a second. Do I want to say this? But I do. There's no chance on earth. That people's winning a decision. In Vegas, it's in Vegas, right? Just make sure. It is in, yep, it's a T mobile in Vegas. Yeah. I will, I will pick up T mobile and put it on my back if he loses a decision. I don't know how to do it. I'll figure it out. I'll start taking more athletic greens. I'll double up on them. Every single round. That he's still, it's going to be a split decision. I can tell you right now, and people are going to get disqualified. Really? He's not going to, he's not winning a decision. But for him to win, I can't. All I can tell you is for him to win, he's got to be on the outside. He's got to be going in and out, jebs, legs, pick his spots. And for Canelo to win legitimately, he's got to go to the body and he's got to use his job. Canelo's got a really hard cod stiff accurate chip. Beeville is going to help him if he's going to win. Or if it's going to be at all competitive for him. He's got to out jab him. But let me tell you, Canelo can be out jabbed and still went because his jab is used just enough. And it's hard and straight, accurate enough where it can make up for somebody else's jab that throws it maybe four times. That's how that's how strong his jamp is. And he usually is smart enough to mix it in there enough not to allow an opponent to own the championing world. Even if they have a jet that is used more frequently. He usually does not allow them to dominate in that area. That's one of the reasons he's gotten better. He's improved and why he's on some people's list of pound for pound. You know, I still have qualified because of his great instincts, his great ability and his great ability to fight in so many dimensions. So many dimensions. But Canelo, I understand Canelo is up. Well, to your point, if you think B roll is the toughest fight he's had. I think he can get pretty good action on beeville, a pretty good value. I'm sorry, at beeville plus 300 lay in four on Canelo. I think with those lines in accordance with what you just said, I think you gotta take B roll and plus money. Especially three to one. Yeah, I mean, again, I don't think it gets a decision, but yeah. I think I take a look. At the end of the day, I believe where there was because of the corruption in the sport, whether it's not because of that, whether it's because that Canelo has approved to the lovely has become the fighter that he has a smart fighter, a dependable fighter, and he's become so strong. Whatever the reason is, I think at the end of the day, Canelo wins. I just think that he's finally in there with a guy he hasn't been in there with for all the last couple years. That oh yeah, this could be this. There's no it can't be this. It can't be that. It can only be what it is. Canelo winning. This is one way, yeah. You could make a legitimate argument that there could be some risk. At the end of the day, I think Canelo would fight. And I think he's a strong good punch in our really good puncher, better than he ever was accurate, places them, doesn't waste anything. He can't be out hustled. He can't be outworked. But again, even if you pull that off, you still got to deal with three people in that building. They're called judges..

"Very interested to see how this partnership pays off. I will say this though, Sergio. A lot of pressure on Joe goose. If Ryan goes out, it looks like crap against a manual tego. Joe is going to take some heat for it, right or wrong. He's going to take some heat for it. Have you seen how that man dresses? I do. He has a bigger eagle than both of us put together. He knows how to dress. He knows how to act and he knows how to handle pressure, my friend, so don't worry about the press when it comes to Dennis. He makes denim cool. Damn right, Joe goose. All right. Canelo Álvarez, we brought him up. He has been, he is in San Diego as well. It's sort of weird, by the way, that these guys are like, I don't know how many miles from each other, like Ryan's training in San Diego still Canelo's in San Diego. But Canelo was in San Diego for the kick-off press conference for his fight against demetri beeville on May 7th. That's a fight that's going to be on his own pay per view. Canelo was very complimentary of Dmitry beeville, saying not only does he believe people is the top guy at one 75, but among all the options that Canelo had to face and chose from over the next few months, including Jamal Charlotte, David Benavidez. Macabre, the Cruiserweight. He believes is the toughest fight that he could have taken. Do you agree with that? Yes, I do, because if you look at, if you look at Dmitry bevel, he reminds me of two of Canelo's past opponents a little bit of COVID left, not just the Russian side, and size, but kovalev and Jacobs, kovalev, well behind the jab, he did well with the size and I think Daniel Jacobs did well with his movement, his ring generalship, the game planning brought into the ring, and the confidence. Vivo brings both those things with Canelo. I think the style matchup is going to give issues to canola because you need two things to give a Canelo issues. You need a move. You can send in front of them B boy is a power chess player. You know, he doesn't stand in front of you like he showed what Joe Smith, you know, he couldn't stand in front of him. And he could take a punch because Joel Smith can break through a wall, you know, that he has a cinder block fist. And he cracked, he cracked Bebo at net, and final rounds in the tenth round. Beeville took it, so we know he could take a punch from him. He'll take a punch from cane, 'cause Canelo doesn't have Joe Smith junior. Speedy backs it up with like speed. As you know, he's an explosive puncher, but it's not that cinder block power. So he's going to be able to take one of those power and he's going to be able to carry a strategy all the way to the end. Any time you interview Dimitri bevo, he always talks about the jab staying composed following the game plan. And that's the reason he's not knocking out guys like he used to wood in his last 5, 6 fights, he's gone the distance. He started off as a power puncher. That goes to show you that he plays power chess. He has the power to take you out, but he's also a chess player. He's a grand master. He's a Russian for God sake. Of course he's going to be good at that. You know what my concern with B roll is. I agree with everything you said. The guy's highly skilled and he's got some pop. What's happened to him in the last few years? Like he came up the ranks and there were people comparing him to golovkin back then. Like the Russian golovkin, knockouts at one 75. He blasts their way..

"Greetings, I'm in beeville, Texas with doctor Liz Eyre sporting the pink hat and doctor Liz sultan and your Stephanie. And the first thing I always said when I walk in, I always ask everybody, each side of her. How long have you been here? Oh my God, everybody's been here 7, ten, 12, and you're only one 13 years. Yes. Yeah, I mean, so I automatically know you're a nice human. People like to stay with you. But you know, LD pinky said you can't sell a product unless it's sitting on the shelf and they added a new product on the shelf, sleep apnea. So doctor Liz tell us about it. Well, I'm really excited the last couple of years we've been doing sleep apnea and just today we found out one of the other girls in the office, her husband had an AHI of 77 one night in like 90 the next night and we made him an oral appliance and we did another test on him and his AHI was a 9. So we were so happy because we just felt like so was his wife mad at, you know? No, she loves him. But he might have died in his sleep and she had like, yeah. But they have two small children, so. Oh, that is like ten years to his eyes. It went from severe to a mile away. And he's like a military guy, and since I was in the navy, I love military people. Thank you for your service. Save a fellow military person, you know, makes me so happy. And he's a really great guy too. So we want him to live a long life. And then the other thing, well, Stephanie, what do you think of adding sleep apnea to the office? Was that? She's the one that encouraged me to do it. I think it was a really positive thing. I mean, when you see the difference in how it helps people, then it, you know, you pay more attention to it. And now I watch people while they're sleeping and I'm wondering, um. So I'm so old when I graduated from dental school, we'd never even heard of it. I mean, there wasn't even a thing. And now, at 59, I am at a friend's house and you see their 5 year old grinding the teeth on the couch, and you can't take your eyes off it. That's right. It is interesting. We have only been really treating adults, but we're looking at kids, and we're looking at their tonsils, and we're looking if they're grinding their teeth, and even found out that thumb sucking, some kids suck their thumb because they have sleep apnea, which is crazy. You know, but I think that thumb sucking is kind of burning their jaw forward and opening it up. And I'm even wondering if you know how kids die in their sleep sometime have sids. I'm wondering if that's not a form of sleep apnea. I don't know. But it's just, since I've been studying and I kind of see it everywhere. And Jessica is our hygienist coming Jessica. And she's been Jessica is amazing. Hello. This is Jessica. She's been helping screen our patients for sleep apnea also. And she is doing an amazing job. You guys look like a model of agency. Oh my gosh. So is there a revenue involved in this? It's been an economic addition. It hasn't really been an academic economic edition yet. It's kind of a slow going process, but we've helped Jessica's husband. We've helped my dad, my sister in law, and then other coworkers. Coworkers themselves and their spouses. And their spouses and we see a huge difference in their life. And we haven't really been doing it enough to make money at it, but just the difference that we've seen in our family members, I mean, it's been worth the investment that we've made so far to do it. And that's completely opposite of how I did it with all my in laws. I just got a pillow and started suffocating. And you guys said the exact opposite. I know. Things are different here. And one less inspiration, there's a lot of depressed Dennis out there. They still haven't reached their pandemic levels. They were really set back. The economies. I mean, these are the UK. Any inspirational advice to Dennis is like I mean, I think honestly, I think what saved us is we do have a great hygiene team. And Jessica has so many patients that are so loyal to her and they are faithful. And even during the pandemic, she was like, talking to him on the phone, taking them flora. And just crazy stuff like that and answering their questions. Stuff like that. You can tell if she's really a hygienist. Have you ever seen anybody that brushed and flossed right? Yes, my patients do. The first thing that I just said is they're not doing it right. That's all they say. My patients and she, she's the head of our hygiene team, so she's got everybody like amazing. So, I mean, I really think our hygiene team is kind of what has kept us afloat, honestly. We're just blessed. We're very blessed. And Jessica has lots of good relationships in town with a lot of people and Stephanie knows a lot of people and, you know. And one last word, my oldest granddaughter. Do you think she should be a dentist? Oh, definitely. And you know, even starting out as a hygienist is a really good thing. And then going on a down school, I went to dental hygiene school. I didn't actually, I didn't actually graduate from hygiene school. I went there, but then I decided just to go into this. And it's the smartest undergraduate degree. I really wish I would have finished my dream school. During high school and it would have been a lot easier than having this huge loan over my head that I did when I graduated. So Taylor, you will be a hike at this first, then a dentist or grandpa will just cry. I mean, it's a good way to do it. And in another good way to do it is if you can get the military to help pay for.

"Way. You're not draining yourself. You're not skipping meals, you're not dehydrated. You're not moody. You actually look four to fighting. It's the best, man. It's the best as a fighter. Happy fighters, the dangerous fighter. That's a dangerous man right there. And I think dropping weight when you're that tall, almost 6 foot three. Dropping a one 68 just to have the advantage, you're losing the advantage after you wait after you wait in and you don't really carry everything you could have. So one 71 78, he's carrying that power carrying that weight eating before not struggling and he gets to do the easiest thing, just go out there and execute the game plan. So now man, I just think Ramirez I mean, it's going to be difficult once he gets in there with a better be able to be in a smith. Well, that's the question, right? But those are natural light heavyweights and people's a smaller light heavyweight. Beeville was coming up for one 68, so he's only one, but the other ones. Yeah, their monsters that are naturally one 75 and they're going to rehydrate up to closer to 200 pounds. Cruiserweights when they come into that in the ring. So they're going to have that mass advantage..

"And with Canelo saying he's gonna wait until January to decide when he's gonna fight next, we're probably not gonna see Jamal Charlotte back until March or April or May, or some point. Later in the year. So like golovkin not only is it big business, but I would certainly argue that as bad as his recent opponents have been, there's nobody out there, besides me we're better be of who just lapsed them, who has earned this opportunity more than I didn't even mention Dmitry beeville, who's resume is awful. People kind of pisses me off too because, you know, you got those same press releases where people's calling on everybody's like, I want this one. I want that fight. Yada yada yada. He's got zero Ramirez out there, setting his own press releases. Say, I want to fight Dmitry beeville and crickets from this one. Because I agree, you know, we agree on a lot of things. But here's the thing if let's just say for the sake of our Camilla comes out and says, in May I'm fighting better via, right? So I agree better be the point you made on better be of I agree 100% that he can get bigger. He's not big enough now. But I'm banking on the fact that, you know, you're going to have 6 belts for Canelo at stake, right? His four supermodel weight belts, and then adding two light heavyweight belts. And then what that does is that creates bigger fights down the road because of Canelo wins that. That makes a bivol fight bigger. That makes it Joe Smith fight bigger. And just because Canelo is growing at the title is all of a sudden bigger because you're making it happen..
