The Dangers of Stupid Smart People, Demonstrated by New York Times' Mara Gay

"Mary gave us on with Brian Williams, and they had a really difficult time at math proving my point again. That stupid smart people are the most dangerous people in the world. He may have read a lot of books. They may have solid achievement, aptitude in their lives. They may have scored well on the s A T s. But at the core, they're really not that bright. You doubt me? Check this out. You see it as a possibility. If he wants to spend a billion bucks beating this guy, he could do it. Absolutely. Somebody tweeted recently that actually with the money he spent, he could have given every American a million dollars. Let's put it up on the screen when I read it. Tonight on social media. It kind of all became clear. Bloomberg spent 500 million on ads US population 327 million. Don't tell us if you're ahead of us on the math. He could have given each American $1 million and I've had lunch money left over. It's an incredible way of putting it. It's an incredible way of putting it. It's true, it's disturbing. Uh, Listen, I was not a math major in college. I actually thought pre calculus was pretty easy. I thought calculus was difficult. My wife has a reverse. She thought pre calculus was hard and calculus was easy. I'm not a math major, but I'm reasonably confident that Bath is way way off. Way way off because you could give you gave each American a million dollars. I promise you It's not 500 Million, unless you think there's 500,000,500 Americans. I mean, that's not the kind of math that should be really complicated, but they couldn't quite grasp the whole arithmetic concept on the air. These are the people out there clamoring for critical racism theory and more. Again proving to you the dangers. Stupid,

"Start with the game itself because it was as we said at the top an instant classic the united states winning three two in the first ever concha caf nations league final mexico at twice both from decca tito goals from the is the. Us came back twice. Goes off corner kicks or one. From june from weston mckennie mexico waved off. For an offside on xtra moreno very close off side to to as we headed into extra time and then it was a story of two penalties christian pulisic converted. His and undress were not save by. Ethan horvath hark. Perhaps it wasn't the greatest game aesthetically. What in terms of spectacle in terms of rivalry truly truly delivered especially for tournament. An event the nation's the that we've all been downplaying for quite some time. Yeah we've been downplaying it and you can say whatever you want about the importance of tournament or not at the end of the day. It's a final. It's vs mexico that captivates that gets the attention when you talk about. Was this a good outing of football display. No it wasn't pretty by any standard tactically. Technically lacking very deficient both teams in certain areas individual performances. That were very deficient. But then you had these wait. A second. Look at meet type performances. You had these look where this is going. Dramatic pauses twist plot us events like var calls. Whatever may be that. we're just dramatic. They were just like where are we going with this. It just kept you on the edge of your seat every single twist and turn you knew it was because it was important versus mexico. "This Canadians team was hand. This maybe we've seen was handed the easiest way up to get out of two rounds cocky and they completely blew it. I can't wait till the Toronto. Media is like see the North Division was hard. We told you was a good defense, was it? Yeah. Okay. Division the leaves couldn't be out of the first row. It can't do it any your anyways. So yep. Still suck. Now, to the Bruins. Now what this podcast really about, we were Leafs beat. Hey, maybe it's the Leafs were grammatically, correct? Maybe they are the Toronto Maple Leaves that already be in the Cup Final like three straight years back. Maybe you can running out of options. Like I might, that might be one of the drastic measures they have to take maybe the grammar police are like, no, you can't get that. We can't let any grammatically incorrect. Teams get to the second round. That's that's impossible. So the Bruins, I know I've said this, not like three different times, so the Bruins, they win game one, they wouldn't game 1522. They lose game to 4 to 3 and overtime Heartbreaker. Obviously, because she came back from up three, you came back from down, 321, and that place was rocking. I want to start the crowd cuz I know we keep talking about it on the post-game we. We write about it, between about it, but to actually thought were removed from the situation now that we've had many days since Saturday, and we're a day removed from the, the hoopla of Monday night. I mean, just that crowd was insane and Ed Think it was my first real reminder that things are coming back to normal and it just felt good. Like that could have been 17,000. Scream Penguins fans in a Bruins Arena and I would still be like hell yes. So it just it felt good. Yeah, no, it felt felt normal, which I think is the biggest takeaway just felt like a, a regular playoff game. You didn't have any of the, the weight of what has happened. The last 60, plus months impact us. Yeah, I mean, I think you ask many people for, for me, at least a lot of sudden, heard the god before that was either, you know, the lead-up, the game seven of a cup final 2019, or the charter Ovation and I think these blew it out of the water. I mean I I thought I had heard that building LL before and especially, you know, after, you know, marching ants goal. There was that one thing which I think we talked about it during our post-game wrap-up where I didn't. Cool. Upgrade a look like I think thirty seconds after the marching and goal and she buried that. I think what are the rules for the phone off the building? I mean, it was just wild. So yeah, I mean we're going to get a similar environment now down and a style, I think, you know, obviously Bruins fans are excited to be back in the building. They've got a good team. We know how ingrained Sports is into the fabric of this city and this month and bass. But I imagine seen a bunch of places, right? I mean New York has been in the same boat as Boston had a miserable 15 plus months. They've got a good team, they're excited to get back out there so I'm kind of wherever you go it's encouraging to see just things getting back to normal and people I think really embracing you know it's one thing where people were you know understandably hyped up about the 2019 Stanley Cup Final, right? But I'm saying that's part of the plan but it's something you hopefully you hope happens in a season and there's a chance that happens and so you're justifiably excited but to go from where we were dead..

"I'm sure there's going to be a lot of overreacting but, you know, I think it's kind of warranted. I mean, that's embarrassing, do it? Anything is the Bruins had a legit number one defenseman, who was their captain that the Leafs game, greatest, Morgan, Riley is points-wise. I wouldn't consider him a perennial number one defenseman in this league. I just I wouldn't and I just find it hilarious like this morning. I opened Twitter dead. And J fresh on Twitter tweets. So... Mitch Marner for Seth Jones and it's just and that will help. That'll be the most Maple Leaf shit in the world. Yes, that'd be another young person. Taylor Hall, type type deal. I just, I can't get over. I think it's hilarious. I think it's funny. It's embarrassing. It is perfectly Toronto and you and you expected it. Like, he just couldn't believe that. It's like, no, it's the leaves. You, you can go, right? You can believe that's par for the course. So another year, another another first-round exit for the Leafs. There's so much to dissect from it off and it's I feel so bad for the front line workers in Toronto. You know they do their first game, they get to their vaccinated. They're so excited to go see their Leafs play in person. It's like damn, you know, all this work. I get to go watch the Leafs game 7. Well, maybe for them. It's like the the the first reminder that life is getting back to normal and that you know the the like leads are once again, choked noise first round exit so it's your ceiling off. Course so yeah, that's the Leafs that's our leaves minute. They still suck and they'll probably be back in the division next year. I'll be back with the Bruins, the lightning. So have fun with more first-round exits guys cuz there's no way out of that one. I wonder if they do blow it up, though. I do wonder if you know they make some big move to kind of send a message, cuz I mean what do you do? After you picked a tough year, like I'm completely changed his right because you've got a flat cap, you've also, I mean, never doubt a dumbass team that's kind of like take Monitor and like over pay for them when she hasn't shown up and hasn't scored a goal. What is it? Eighteen sixteen to eighteen, eighteen straight, playoff games, a lot of goal? Which, I mean, maybe some what? What seems like the the wage? I don't like a dogshit franchise, like the coyotes where it's like, well, he's going to score a bunch of points. The regular season, get tickets for us. So we don't, we could give less of a shit but still it's even if you found a team that would take a guy like that. Yep. Just been done in terms of moving the pieces. Now with the flat cap, you know, we start last year where we thought, there's going to be a lot more movement and the guys were signing, one year deals or you had a nice. It's like, you know, do Clan these guys signing contracts, like right ahead of Camp. So not really the best year too. Clearly change gears with your cord that you've expected to probably be making multiple to The Cup Final by this point. But it's yeah, it's embarrassing. I mean, you ever think they hit a new low, but I think that one's right up there cuz you as much as I think, Bruins fans hop on 29th and how they'll never have a better easier road to get to a cup..

"Just a few months ago, which is, I mean, great to see, I think Bruins fans one should be excited just to be back in the building, you know, even if you drinking $14, you know, wherever light off. Whatever the hell they serve now I think it's still going to be a great time whether it's great. It's going to be a good summer. And again I think this Bruins team has the Personnel in the means to go on a pretty legitimate down here. So it's, it's going to be a great time whenever we find out when they going to be playing next on Causeway Street. This feels like it could be, could be there year. Feels like giving off Vibes a little bit. Not going to die for any of that yet. Let's see. Let's see. Who's let's see who gets out of these other divisions. First, some yeah. Some this is bad guys out. Hey, if it's Winnipeg and off, if it's if it's like Winnipeg and like the pride it is and if the parties are somehow gone, crazy run and get out of the Central and took a wild going running the web and then we can talk about it. But it's like all three of like one of Vegas in Colorado and one of Tampa gets out, then you have to look at it be like dead. It's gonna be little tough on them out. Like they they they're better equipped than years past to match up against think some of those scenes that either are more skilled or not seem like Tampa that has given the problems in the past but that's obviously a debate for another day but it would help them quite a bit. If a few of those those juggernauts out and the central in the west don't make it out of their division. I you know I agree with you maybe a mulligan for 2019. Yes. But but yes. Anyways excited for fall crowds and again I think it's a situation where the ticket prices are probably to be pretty high. I don't know them yet. They're probably pretty high. It's worth it. It's worth it. You've been inside for all these months, you haven't been paying for sporting events. Go all out for this. Go to one game. Go all out for this. I know. We're not like, with the team running, I don't care but like, oh, I want to see this place packed, you know, if you're a die-hard fan, you've been saving money for all these months, but buy the tickets by the tickets. I know it's annoying and it's in that comes from a place of where we, you don't have a game. So I guess that's a good thing for us. It sounds like I have no idea what I'm talking about but if I if I was just a college kid and I didn't even have much money, I would be going to these games or one at least because it's going to be fun and it better be crazy, but it's going to be great. Anyways, it could be full of, could be full of penguins fans, and it's still like I just want to be in a full crowd..

"They pack it in and they have a better wage tandem Annette. But I think the Penguins if they're playing, you know, to their level their team that can frustrate you that can be you do cycling, the puck obviously you know the guys down the middle but you know they also play a very aggressive 131 with a you know frustrate frustrate the hell out of you and all sudden Crosby said. Nope. Cancel for a one-time use pin down like they can they can kind of switch two lines and very quickly there and they also have the kind of like the Capitals a little bit in that you know they probably have a a stronger structure but also wage Very good fourth line that maybe isn't as dynamic as guys like doubt and Hathaway. But you know, guys like you know, ten of aston-reese are all very, very good, shut down 4th liners that the bride give your team since it's as well. So again both very different teams like you can make the argument that maybe the Bruins are better suited for Pittsburgh because of the fact that would be less of a a sized physical battle and more of just you know solving that 131 and dealing with their speed and accounting for their big guns. But I think Thursday I think if you want to look at who the ruins of rather play, I think the the Islanders have kind of a lower ceiling in terms of, you know, you know what, you're going to get from them. They're going to grind it out, but I think you have more Firepower than them. In terms of just again, they can do what they can to walk down. Maybe the Burj online. But you got the creature line. You've got other groups that are playing very well so long. Again, I think both those students are going at least six games but I would probably rather play the Islanders at this point but like a very much flip up on the decision. By the time I do the official predictions because they're both so different. So I was going to say, like, I'm a little conflicted because on the one hand, you have the Islanders who you had a tougher time against during the regular season, they're very structured, as you said, you know what, you're going to get. They're, they're a tough team to play against them, but what I just said about the Bruins being super hot, the Islanders were not since the deadline even after they got Sajak and Palmieri who did borderline nothing for them seven eight and three including playoffs. So I'm not great. That's not a hot team, that's a team that's on the down train, that's not a stock. You invested that's not a stock unit estimate, or maybe it is actually maybe you do Investments at 7 by the tip, never mind, buy the dip, don't listen to me by the dead but on the other hand, you have the Penguins who are hot and have the potential to be really really good. But they also have the potential to be really really bad Jeff can Jeff Carter scored wage. Goes forever. You know, he might Matheson. And Cody Ceci, hold up as they've sort of done all season forever, probably not, but probably also. So, and the other thing is in net, gain your trust in jari, who is not amazing, not great..

"You know, Bergeron had a game that I think we're not surprised of it this point right? In terms of a clinching game, but he was, she was tremendous in game five. But I think probably the most encouraging thing is, you know, we, we look this top six and, you know, it's almost expected at this point. They're going to play well, and they're going to get their points as expected. But I think when you look at how some other guys can kind of build off this series, you know, I mean, whether that's Jake debrusk, you know, scoring a couple of goals and getting in, getting going, would be that. Line who played a really strong game. Those last two games, especially kind of matching the capitals physicality, egg smell the defense. When, you know, I think going to the security people were terrified of how guys like Mike Riley. And Matt grzelcyk, would fare against this big physical capitals team and they held their own and, you know, and play to their strengths and avoid getting knocked around by the capitals for Checkers. Okay, Clifton who I think probably behind Maca was maybe they're most impactful defenseman, I mean, he was, he was on real job. Think he had less than 30% of his face off during the offensive zone and the Bruins outscored, the capitals three nothing when he was on the ice. That's great. Like he's like the Sean Crowley of the back end where he's not always Chuck Reilly, only scores, big goals, Connor, Clifton only plays amazing in like big games in the play. The Corner kitchen, is that his complete best? When it's just playoff hockey, right? And for him to, it wasn't like he was even, you know, had a lot of these on a starts, but it was like, he was matched up against, you know, the lives of other line or something when he was up against, like Ovechkin and the the capitals big guns. And the rooms are only to have. So many guys are pulling the rope and contribute offensively but also really limit the capitals on the other end of the ice. I mean we were expecting this series what a lot of you know, six five games or what-have-you age other than Wilson's goal in game one. I think that was the only even-strength goal from a top-six guy like Ovechkin. Got a lot of had I think four points and five games but I think almost all of them We're on the power play. So you know I mean Backstrom was a ghost kuznetsov. Looks like the guy who had covid-19 is and looks like I can see I can see now, why Washington wants to get rid of gnats off, cuz was stupid penalty. He had over a stupid played negate that goal for them, you know, I think oh she definitely was fighting something so you put it all together and it seemed like it was a kind of a perfect storm that one of the Bruins are able to take advantage of. Because again I was five games but they really weren't, you know, after after you get past those first couple overtimes, L games, really warm clothes ever since overtime of game 3 and the capitals came into this series heart there were a lot of guys who had nagging injuries, the Bruins on the other hand worth their most healthy so really is and it goes to show also and I tweeted this month since the trade deadline, I almost look at the season in two parts..

"Here with Connor Ian, Connor whatasapp Evans doing swell. How you doing? I'm doing well. What are the gym for the first time this morning? A long time, back home, from college stepped on the scale realized, I wasn't that much more that I normally am, but I was like, you know, a feeling around my stomach. I was like, you know, this isn't, I definitely have not been eating well and treating my body well over the past couple of months. So I'm going to jump back into the gym. First time I've been there since 2020 because of or since early 2020 because of covet. So felt weird to be back in, like, a gym area. It was like, damn and then doing it with the mask. Wage is tough. Not easy, mask. It is quite the adjustment, but God speeding it Endeavors. Oh, yeah. It's gotta be going to be showing up to the Stanley Cup jacked, you know? How it is. Anyways, anyways, in dog. Bruins news, the Bruins beat capitals Sunday night between 5. You are correct, you are correct. And I'm glad people are pointing out on Twitter because I don't think people understand, you know. Would you do predictions? First of all, they're mostly wrong. Charge me. Write a lot of these second off when you actually guess that a series is going to go short and it does it is incredibly rare off again. Like most people say, you know team and seven I said Bruins and 6 cuz I was like I want to be edgy but not too edgy but you were like oh you go Vin, you're like Bruins and five. So God speed to you, sir for for being right. I think that we need to really listen to you for the penguin for whatever, who the Bruins play next. Which we'll get to later in the episode first. I want to deal with why the the the Bruins be the caps and 5. There's a lot of rebates and I know we'll go over all of them, but I think one of the biggest was Tuukka Rask got better as the series went along game, when he was a little shaky game, two years, Solid 3 better for better five, maybe the best. He's hooked on a year. That's not good for other teams. No, not at all. I mean, I think it was brewing, stick to the subject. Great follow on Twitter for anyone who wants great Insight. I think tweeted after after GameFly, but the pressure as expected, you know, goals saved. I think Iraq was a sad. Maybe every single game, I think one up as it went on. I mean, obviously, look at just the eye tests and, you know, you finish with 40 Shades and forty-one shots, of course, it's going to be a great kind of stamp on a great series off for goaltender. But ya know, as you said, I think Rask every single game got better and better. And I mean, even if you look back on this series and the goals that he let up, I mean, how many of them was he beat clean? You know, you really didn't have one. You didn't have any goals like, like restaurants, first goal against Samsung. I was in game five, you're like, oh, oh, okay, well, you can't have that but even that, you know, weren't any song..

"It gets tipped and deflected, like six inches off of where it was eventually, like, ended up going off that we're deflection in front page. Buffalo's on. Yeah, one of those entities battle on Ovechkin down low. So love on that love on that goal of Mexican celebrating as if you scored it in reality. Like it's just didn't. Like didn't it didn't hit him. I just thought he did, but it didn't hit him. I wonder if he knows if the post-season goals don't count against the overall record. So I think maybe maybe he's just he's doing whatever he can but but yeah, I mean, I don't know how you look at that game. If you watched it and your biggest takeaway isn't the fact that your top six was unable to do anything, the fact that you were passing up, clear chances, I mean there are so many different times where I feel like if you weren't actual fan watching a game of hockey and you just want want to be miserable about your goaltender. Like if you just watch that first minute of overtime, I mean, pasta Nike has a pretty much one-on-one matchup against or laws could have driven right to the net against Craig Anderson and he hesitates holds up and then rips like a low danger shot from the slot that orlov just blocks, easily wage Meant that that is like a prime example. I think of. And then I think, you know, the Bruins would cover the puck after it goes wide. My Shane gets it and he kind of flips it back out into a slot into no man's land. And I think Michael rossel picks it up and take that chance, like that kind of knockout punch. You could have had the side of overtime. And that was what you saw for most of that, especially that Top Line in that matchup and yeah, both of those things where I don't know if you want to take it like a positive perspective, going out of the game and that, you know, the top six did absolutely nothing. And, you know, you still went to overtime. When you had a few bad to walk, ins go go against you and what have you? But you can look at the positives of like Jake debrusk broke through. And I thought that fourth line as a whole look pretty good. As much as I think people are worried about. The Bruins getting inside I feel like that wasn't as much of a problem as people were talking about in terms of like, you know, the Tampa series works..

"Want to move up there either, if the pingers want to move up, one of three things going to happen, they're going to move up. That are that are two things, they're either going to move out for that team. Just doesn't want to budge. They're not going to get outbid because they, they can put the best offer on the table outside of Denver, who I still think the quarterback talk is a little like I think cuz they were in the DeShaun Watson thing and I think that got people going like oh quarterback like dreadlocks still a good Young quarterback, I'm not sacrificing future assets to move on from Drew lock. Now it's John Watson and the guy who's proven yeah I would but I don't think they're in the space, we're moving up from 9 to six 9 to 7 and giving up a future first to move on from a twenty-four-year-old quarterback, for a guy who was a wild card. That just doesn't seem worth it to me. Yeah, so the Bears that you mentioned Kyle Trask and I feel like the Bears are an interesting spot for Kyle Trask because he's the type of pass or that I think needs to be and a quick West Coast type of system. Right. He's going to want to get the ball out. He's going to want to live with the decisions are made for him. Yeah. West coast-based scheme seems to be the best fit for Kyle Trask. So yep. Could see the Bears liking him a little bit. He's got the size you know he's got some of those things that you like in terms of West Coast scheme so maybe they go that direction in Chicago, the football team. Interesting one, you know I think that they're going to be a little bit aggressive at quarterback too. But the point I wanted to make is that honestly, I sort of feel like the quarterback conversation is now going to offer full circle. And this is where I feel like we're going to get next week on Thursday night as we taught. All these conversations about Mac Jones going number three, to San Francisco. I still don't think he's dead for the 49ers. I know that's what everybody in the media wants to say, and wants you to believe, but I still don't feel like Mac Jones has to pick for the Niners at 3, which makes me think that the most likely outcome..

"If the Patriots drafted somebody like a Darius Tony or shot Bateman or something and just got this big time playmaker at wide receiver but you can wait on wide receiver off these drafts and get somebody later on on day three that I think is still going to have starter level talent. That that's how deep this class. Is this year somebody on day three, in this draft might really be a fringe banking another draft. I think there's starter level talent, draftable talent and a 3 for a lot of rounds. Like I think you can maybe get somebody in the 5th of the 6th round that will be a starter home or upside type of player, maybe not right now, that's why he falls, but down the road, maybe you can develop him into somebody like that. And those are a few of those guys. There aren't, let's have this conversation. I need job. You want to talk running backs? Alex, so I will let you talk about running backs. The Patriots. I have said it more solid at not that kind of need, but okay. Yeah, I said, you don't have to necessarily talk about Niger Harrisburg, but we've talked about it multiple times, that the Patriots have kicked the tires on running backs, this offseason and free agency, they haven't made a move, it running back yet. I think that there's a running back coming now. I hope it's not early as I hope it's not a premium pick but I do think there is a running back coming. Where would you say is is a target that you would feel comfortable with? Cuz I think a first-round running back would be a disaster. Sure. Yeah. Not. Not as your hair like sneaky need. Absolutely. All agree with that. Not to the first round extent. They basically need So they they have they're too early down back to the Sony Michelle and Damien Harris. That's right. They like to carry to passing game box as well. James White comes back. That's one, but he's going to be thirty very few running backs. Produce the age of thirty and there's really nobody behind him shade retailers, kind of in this in-between space. He's actually an early down back because he's not a great pass-blocker and that James White role as important as it is to be touched the ball. You have to be able to pass block to JJ. Taylor's more that Dion Lewis where he's a change of pace early down back so given they don't play rookie running backs in James White's kind of right up against it. Off the Patriots need to look to to find the next guy. So he can Redshirt this year and then, you know, just like James White to go with Christine Perrine Perrine, took over for Woodhead, would head took over for Kevin. Faulk, Etc. So where do they find? That guy? The earliest to me, you're looking right outside the top 100 and it's Dimitra filtered from UCLA. They've met with your, he's a great fit, didn't physically test. Well, I'm not scared off by that. I don't know how long. Feel I trust what I've seen on tape. I think that that was an anomaly had a bad day. I don't know. He had something bad for lunch. Whatever it is, I don't think they need felt at 1:20. There's some other guys. We've talked about Kyle and.

"That is maybe an extra Z, but I think that that's someone that they're going to want to play a little bit more on the outside but I think that the conversation of do. They really need another inside receiver, as much as I would absolutely love having somebody else. That could create after the cash at the ball in their hands. How how much do they really need? Another inside receiver and what outside guys do we like? Because as somebody else brought up the Patriots, history of outside receivers is not so great. Right? You know, Chad Jackson Aaron Dobson, the kill Harry, you know, it's not a great run for them with the outside, guys. So which ones do you feel? Config, New England and maybe feel better about actually working out here? Yeah, well, we've talked about this, and I think there's a chance that they give both Myers and born a chance to pull the X. Yeah. To see what those guys can do. And maybe that's the answer. You can't draft a guy. So you go and get a guy who, you know, can play in the NFL and you try to see how we Works outside. If they're going to go into Iraq I think you go down and a 3 and you just try to find a guy to push and kill and camping then either stash on the practice squad or trade to kill her. If he's good enough I just feel like I've at that point I'm going home run Jonathan Adams. The jump all threat of red-zone threat. The way their offense is built right now. They really just need the ex guy to be a red zone, threat Nico, Collins certainly wouldn't be a bad option. Either way, I'm not like super into the idea of them taking a big receiver. I don't especially if they're going to keep nikhil and there's been some rumors that he's going to be traded but especially if they're going to keep them. I just I don't see a need to take a big outside receiver. Yeah. So I think that the need is there for Truex. I actually really like Nico Collins. I think that he's a player that could succeed here. He has that outside speed, and he also timed really, really well in the three-cone. So he does have some agility or lateral movement, I should call it. He's not a guy as a jitterbug, at the top of the route. But at the line of scrimmage, I did see some pretty good Nuance in 2000. They didn't play 20/20 in his release package. I think is released package at this point, is much better than to kill Harry's. I think that he's somebody that can really wrong. The line build up his speed and if you're going to be an outside guy that's going to win with possession and contested catches, you have to win at the line of scrimmage. You have to move guys off the their spots. Be able to blow past them at them to scrimmage and open up your strides get, guys on your back and adjust the balls in the air. That's how you win as a contested receiver. And the reason why nikhil Harry struggled so much is because he doesn't get that movement at the line of scrimmage. And it causes him to wear coverage down the field, right? And allows those guys to ride his hip pocket and being good position to play the ball. So I think the.

"With your first deposit. Well, it's pretty easy to pick the undersized receivers in this draft, right? I mean, that's basically what ninety percent of the draft is. The other name is like, here's an interesting quite well. Give me your name and then there's an interesting question in regards to this conversation. Okay. So the other The name I wanted to mention that I don't think that gets nearly talked about enough in this wide receiver class as am on raasay Brown from USC. So he's the type of player to me that drives in New England, not necessarily the athlete that Kadarius Toney use or rondale Moore is or even jail and Darden. But he's just a technician and he's very very quick at the top of the route that translated to his three-cone time that he ran like a 681 month and the three-cone. And you see that quickness in his Ralph breaks the technical kind of Savvy. The ability to set up defensive backs, understanding of Leverage. I think he's the type of player that reminds me a little of Jacoby Meyers, but with the better athletic profile. And if I'm the Patriots, those are the types of guys that I'm targeting at the wide receiver position. I'm saying, no to terrorist Marshall. I'm saying no to die. Ami brown, black guys is prospects for other teams, but I want the guy that is going to be ready to go within the confines of this system. I think Amon-Ra st. Brown would run really Savvy routes instantly. Patriots, and would give you what your copy Myers does, but maybe with a little bit more athletic upside. So that's the other guy. I think it's not we we really haven't talked about him at all and I don't think he gets talked about it all terms of, you know, the conversation here in New England or in the Boston area and Right now, fair enough. I just think he and you kind of him. I think he's a little redundant Jacoby Myers and she's an upgrade over Jacoby Myers which is kind of why I would, you know, like even take him. I just I don't know that I'm using a Top fifty pick on just upgrading. I think somebody when there's probably be more in the second or third round conversation not necessarily the top 50 just because of the fact that wide receiver. That's what I'm saying. Their second round pick as forty six and then it's 96 and maybe they trade up but you know, especially we have Nelson. Agholor is going to be one receiver, you're really going to have only two receivers on the field. Voles the time you already have both Jacoby Myers and Kendrick Bourne who can play that role and I just, I don't like, I like the player. I think everything you said about the players, true, I just get in terms of roster construction management. I I don't maybe if they have a son can record, I'd be more excited about it..

"Cuz there was that story from I forget if it was Christopher price or Jim McBride was one of the globe guys that telling Mom has been texting with Josh McDaniels. He's been talking since the Senior Bowl so long if he's doing that, I think he's very involved and I think we know that he likes mon. It doesn't mean monsters favorite. He might be texting other guys and those guys just you know the stories not out there but yeah it's nice McDaniels is is very involved in in regards to the Tivo thing. I I I will touch on that and I get that hesitation and I certainly valid I'm not going to dissuade anyone from feeling that way. I just don't think there's a Tim Tebow in this. Well, there's a Tim Tebow in this draft but he's not. He doesn't have the same height train, it's Ian book. But our Ellinger. You know, both of those guys are kind of. I am Jared plays more like Tim Tebow right? Like an athlete playing quarterback. I think part of the well he books more like because they're both terrible quarterbacks but I think that the the draw with Tebow wasn't football skill. It was the leadership. It was that like Josh McDaniels thought he was getting a core like a captain. He thought he was going to get a guy to come and get ten fifteen year, captain in the football skills would be enough to justify it. That's what I think that pic was in that guy. I'm not saying none of these quarterbacks have leadership abilities but the guys are the best leaders in this draft are also the best quarterbacks, right? Whether it's Matt Jones with Justin feels like these guys could have made a locker room but they also don't have the throwing motion of a pitcher in the middle of Tommy John surgery. So I'm not too worried about the Tivo thing because I don't think in this specific case it's an issue off. If they take, if they take, Sam ehlinger Orion book in the third round, you can bring this clip back up and call me an idiot. That's fine. I just don't see it in this draft, right? And I think the question really was more also geared towards the fact that Josh McDaniels has in the past been kind of gravitated towards mobile. Quarterbacks outside of Tom Brady of course right in this guy's name that he is typically favored. At least in rumored wise favored, mobile QBs like a Tim Tebow like a Lamar Jackson Josh. McDaniels was apparently although they feel it's not Lamar Jackson, he is he can move around a little bit and the Patriots. Apparently really liked Baker Mayfield and that draft. So does that really matter? I mean I guess maybe in terms of the Mac Jones conversation, it could matter a little bit. But so many of these quarterbacks from fields to Lance to Monde. They're they're these guys are mobile. A lot of these guys are mobile home. I don't know if it's necessarily going to be a number one, sort of argument of Josh, McDaniels needs a mobile quarterback. But if he does want a mobile quarterback, there's plenty of them in this draft to pick from New Jersey and all from the first three or four rounds of the draft at some of those guys..

"Dysfunction. this is actually really really common. People don't talk about it because it's of something embarrassing and people feel a lot of shame around this. So there are a lot of men who have erectile dysfunction intercourse can masturbate. Okay in these situations. I would highly recommend you see a doctor for evaluation. But a couple of patients tell me they will inject sperm with a syringe after you know if if if their partner ejaculate inside them congratulate outside them then use a syringe to inject it. You can also. I had a patient recently. Tell me that they use a menstrual cup. Which i thought was like kind of ingenious She uses a menstrual cup. Her husband at generates she puts it into a menstrual cup and then she puts them at stroke up inside and sits there for a little bit to leave the menstrual cup in place to really what the sperm get where they need to go. That seemed kind of smart now. She didn't get pregnant that way. All say that but in general if your partner has erectile dysfunction this could be due to one of many issues one. It could be something that is with their general health diabetes but pressure issues. Some other like major health disorder. It also can be a sign of hormonal imbalance like low testosterone level. Or something else so. I really believe that these men should likely be seen. I'm now i do a lotta work up on men myself including hormone panels and that kind of stuff. Usually if it's if it's really bad though it's good to go to reproductive urologist to get evaluation to see sort of what's going on whether it's a hormonal problem or you know sometimes more of emotional problem can you prescribe viagra viagra is. Nfl is a medication that causes annihilation of vessels. We use it in. Men who have erectile dysfunction onset of action is within thirty six thirty to sixty minutes and it lasts for typically about four hours. There is some really serious side effects. obviously one of them's called pipe. Ism go away in needs to be surgically drained. It's rare but it can happen and there are also some people who have very serious mainly heart complications that dilating blood vessels could be dangerous in potentially cause a heart attack so typically in my patients who are on the younger side. It's not a problem. But if you're having issues with sexual dysfunction than you need a full evaluation now if you have a full valuation and it seems to be what we would call performance anxiety than viagra is a fantastic option for you but it really is not something you should just give you really in the setting up for Should make sure there's a semen analysis. Make sure that there's been hormones done and make sure that there's no other biological cause for bi sexual dysfunction. Can i give it absolutely. do i give it often. Now that i'm pregnant. When can we have sex again. Let's talk about sex orgasms. As we talked about uterine contractions in oxytocin release and oxytocin does not have a lot of receptors in the beginning of pregnancy so in beginning of pregnancy there's not receptors for oxytocin and so the oxytocin may not work in terms of causing a miscarriage. Right so what i would say is that you should in a normal pregnancy. The let's get on your own. You should be able to have intercourse. There are no studies that in our course affects a or causes miscarriage. Now in the setting of Tilleke where patients me have had stimulation where their ovaries are big. There can be where patients may be on medication that causes them to bleed. Easier like aspirin like lovenox these situations where it may predispose you to a sub koranic hematoma from the trauma of intercourse. Even if it's not traumatic from your perspective it may cause micro trauma if you're on a blood thinner and if your ovaries are big it can cause the risk of ovarian torsion and like right after retrieval. It doesn't mean that your ovaries go right back down it can. They can be large for the first well into the second trimester. Sometimes so i think this is a really an individualized discussion if you are somebody who is got pregnant on your own to have intercourse anytime a normal low risk pregnancy. If you're somebody who needed help you should ask your doctor. Asking for clarification will having in orgasm cause a miscarriage. Again it orgasms. There's no studies that orgasms cause miscarriages. At all we think about fertility and implant haitian and not necessarily wanting a uterine contractions wallin embryos trying to implant and that's more like a hypothetical perspective as opposed to the fact. There's not science. Showing that an orgasm is gonna decrease implant. We just know that orgasms cause uterine contractions and we don't like that during implantation time in of itself. There's not any studies showing that so. If you're going through your idea. I probably would try to avoid orgasms around around in the embryo. Transfer time but other than that. There's really no science saying that and you should not feel guilty or feel like your orgasm caused your miscarriage. That doesn't happen. Those are all the questions that i have from listeners. Is there anything else that you'd like to add. So i think inside it's really important. Sort of understand the fact from the fiction. And this is where you to reputable sources on social media for example like doctors like my cell phone social media or other american society of reproductive medicine or talking to your own doctor a really important and sometimes these can be embarrassing but remember. You may be embarrassed because this is not the question. You're going to ask your mum but as doctors we get these questions all the time so you should not feel shamed or embarrassed to ask your doctor these questions and if your doctor makes you feel anything other than supported you should find another doctor. What words of hope would you offer to infertility warriors who are stressed out by this journey because of all the seemingly things they have to do to have a baby so i think that a lot of the stress that comes with infertility is the feeling of a lack of control so many things in our life we can control but this is something that is happening. You really can't control a whole lot about it. So if it makes you feel better to have some control over certain aspects of this then i would encourage you to track your cycles and do ovulation predictor kits. And educate yourself about your body and fertility the certainly if you think that checking basal body temperatures and checking. Your urine is a stressful thing and that it's less stressful a more enjoyable experience to sort of just try when you feeling like trying when you think of your around ovulation than that's okay and. I think that you really need to listen to yourself that you don't have to do all of these things just because some people do to help manage the sort of lack of control feelings. "It's Miguel Benz on a k a dog Scott Miguel we've sat on a patriot duck boat parade float together. Oh, yeah, we've done podcast together. So it's very great to have you back on the show. My friend loved loved your work Evan you killing you're killing. Thank you. I appreciate that. And and for those that don't know the story the media have a float or a a duck boat. I should say wage in in the parade every single time the Patriots won the Superbowl and Miguel and I were lucky enough to be on the duck boat following the win over the Rams and Super Bowl 53 that's definitely wage to five favorite experience. Yes on the beat Miguel and I know that you were pumped to be on there too. I'm I'm I actually like a fan I was like acting like a fan. I was going crazy. I was I was so happy. I've never thought it was one of the best days of my life the be on a on the the the be in the duck boat parade right in front of the players is just awesome sauce. So many fans come out I must have took over. 300 pictures, you know that day. It's it's awesome. It was awesome. It's I've said this before I'm I thought I was I've been more than lucky to see one live is Super Bowl winner winner have them see six in my lifetime is is more than anyone suspected. I just leave it alone like that. I I I was eating breakfast my mother the other day and I could hear in the restaurant some guy saying it should have 1:10. I'm like, I I don't know what you're thinking but the pictures are made it look so easy to win Super Bowls that somebody actually could say that they should have one ten and and but I'm not happy with sex. I think that's a good place to be happy with and yeah, I remember the beginning part of the of the parade. I tried to keep my cool tried to sell reporting. Orion professional and every opinion and not lose my mind but by the end of the parade the atmosphere just kind of took you over and everybody I think was was into it in terms of life and everyone I think came out a little bit there as the parade kind of went along and it was a day that I will definitely never forget. Right. They're up there with covering the Super Bowl in person was probably the best day of my life. So I'll put that as as number two, but it was very close number two, but we're going to sit here and and hash out. Hopefully the next Super Bowl champ for the page. It's obviously coming off a seven and nine season. They will not make the postseason. We all know that but Miguel we are having you on because you are the perfect guy to tee off the entire offseason and I think that everybody wants to start where we always seem to start with the Patriots in the offseason and that's what the salary cap especially after Bill Belichick's comments over the last couple of months saying that they were really a month. By the cap this off this past off-season and with the 2020 team, I think that the cab now is more part of the conversation than ever with Belichick putting that sort of thing in there as well..

"Go check it out right now and see all the different game props and player props that you could back on right now at BetOnline spice up the Cowboys Falcons game a wee bit. You can get it on their season-opening bonuses today to even right now after The Season's opener and sort of wagering on wins and divisions and Championship Futures two-day had to been online today and take advantage of all the great sign-up bonuses downline. You were online Sportsbook experts. Okay. So, let's look ahead now to the Falcons and you know, this is a falcon team coming in that was close to Seattle at half. And then the the Seahawks, Blue Mountain the second half but wage Russell Wilson was incredible. They sacked him three times and he still had like a 90% completion percentage. And what's your what are your thoughts on this game on on Sunday? 12:00 start 9:00 pregame show on 105 3 the fan but you know, my my biggest worry, my biggest concern right now is going to be candles protect Dak Prescott on the right side of the line. Obviously, we know in the previous matchup between the Cowboys and Falcons. We remember that game and well, I guess it was two matchups to go 2017 the Chaz green game at left tackle. Now, you got the terrorists still playing right tackle. And and once the game moved in in Dallas had to go to a more passing attack. They were able to key in on on him going against tenants still on the outside and in the warts shoot off in you know, when I was wondering why he was a Undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech speed rushers give him problems. He doesn't have the flexibility. He doesn't have the the ability to get out there on the edge much like a loan Collins is able to do one of the better unsung heroes. I think in my mind, you know, so that's going to be one of the big concerns is can they keep and they keep this defense, you know, and and really awful so up the middle cuz Grady Jarrett was one of the guys he had 1 and 1/2 sacks in the last game, you know, Tak McKinley had the other one and then Dante Fowler had a half sack. So, you know, they're able to attack on on on the interior and the and you know on the edge, so it's going to be key try to give some help to turn still. I think one of the things that they're going to have to wash those are going to have go a more quick passing style, you know, maybe getting Zeke out in the flats and push this defense to make some make some tackles in the open field. And obviously I think that they have birth Get the past passing game going obviously last week. We saw Amari Cooper what he was able to do, you know even against you know, jaylin's so you liked what he could do em. UCD more CD land was good. And then obviously Michael Gallup was good. So, you know it they just got to get it a better attack going especially now you're not going to be able to walk to rely on.

"I did have a chance to catch up a blatant up at beat the streets here in timing, but just pass away. Those really fortunate about that, but Jeff Osborne just kind of faded out onto those. I've always said this. You know, like some people just move on because they want to, and I don't know why some of these people have been Gary Shaw and Jerry washed out, but Jeff may have just decided to move on. But the people it's, you see someone in this game, like Scott cocoa has been a longtime do that is hard to the people disappear from everything that you're like, whoa, that's. That's always the thing that makes me actually, it does people out people they get the fire for Emma may is so intense. It's like a mistress, but it burns our marriage or whatever, whatever the love connection you wanna make. But when it burns it gets extinguishes guys like TJ grant. For instance, you see him on Twitter a little bit, but he just who knows the whole thing. He just just one day he was. He was an expert title shot. It's just crazy. He beat Raymond. Remember that and he's title shot and then he's just gone. Yeah. Anybody else anybody else. Time what headed he made out that was one of the Trudeau's guy. Yeah, he sees coaching in. He's he's training guys over in Massachusetts there. He was on ESPN's. I'm gonna live with me for a while. He lays really, really low though. Yeah, I feel like there's a lot of those really sit down and yeah, Spencer efficient when we talked about it for the Kingfisher. Running a gym out in Iowa. Yeah. Last, I heard, but so many, there's a lot of so many Scots who are really big Staples for while they just kind of disappear at one point. If you know if you're watching this and you know any of these people have them contact me. Danny Levin somebody somebody from the offense efficient here. I, I would love to talk to the Shaws point, but neither. That'd be awesome. You should anyway. You never strange brew. It's a good one. Yeah, that out. Okay, I think we're doing all right. So I don't believe we're on next week. You're going to be on the week after that would really sink our teeth into UC to twenty nine preview because we were going to do it next week, but then the press is going to happen, and I have a feeling it's going to be nothing like what we think. So our whole analysis will be relevant at least not as a week in between so could be Rhonda's a chance. We'll come back something crazy happens. You never know. But for an hour probably off naturally, we appreciate you guys tuning in as always as always keep sending us questions. Keep sending us comments using the hashtag the beat. So thank you so much for watching for Chuck. That's Danny. I'm Luke till next time hands up chin down. Let them fly. This is the maybe..
