"Forward. My 45 rob would fork where do you want to start? Hey, let's start with the nationals two weeks after trading Juan Soto in the day after he leaves town as an opponent to the nationals breaking in one of the prospects acquired in that blockbuster deal. CJ Abrams called up from Rochester today. He'll make his Nats debut tonight against the cubs, the 21 year old set to start a shortstop, you'll bat 7th in the order in manager Dave Martinez told the media today the intent is to have Abrams move toward the top of the lineup as he gets more comfortable at the major league level. Another part of the nationals youth movement, Josiah gray, getting the start on the mound in search of his first win in over a month. The Orioles in Toronto, they're opening a three game set with the Blue Jays, like the Nats, they have a 7 O 5 starts. The Texas Rangers free agent spending spree, his yielded only a third place season in the AL west and its cost Chris Woodward his job as the manager fired today amid what is his fourth straight losing season, third base coach Tony Beasley set to finish out the season as interim skipper. Now talk about bad breaks here. The rangers are 6 and 24 in one run games this season. That would be the second worst record in a season since 1900. That according to ESPN stats and info. In college football to the surprise of literally no one, Alabama, again atop the preseason AP top 25 poll it is the second straight year the crimson tide start out at number one. It's the 9th time. Overall, rob, which worked to believe TOP sports. All right

Charlie Welcomes Congressman Ted Budd, Senate Candidate for NC

"I love North Carolina, it's one of the nicest states in the entire country. North Carolina, the tar heel state, has some phenomenal people, and we have with us right now, someone who is running to become the next senator from North Carolina and not allow a Democrat to win. Ted Budd is with us. Ted, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Charlie, it's great to be with you and I first met you in North Carolina. Back when Nancy Pelosi put me on her list of 33 members of Congress, Republicans to eliminate back in 2018, member of the top year for Republicans and Don Junior, U came into Davidson county, right there in the middle of North Carolina and campaigned for me and really appreciate that. I remember that very well. So tell us about your race and I mean, North Carolina is experiencing a lot of the same sort of issues, the country is experiencing rising crime, inflation, talk about some of the top issues that you're running in campaigning on that are affecting North Carolina voters. You know, historically, you've seen somebody have to change from the primary over to the general, but you don't really have to do that in this race because the issues are still the same. And it's two main issues. One of the things that I did among all the Democrats that were running really who just consolidated around sherry Beasley. And we had a big primary that we had to navigate through on the Republican side. But we went to all 100 counties far west in the mountains, the corners and the east of North Carolina and talked to folks all across the spectrum in the two issues, Charlie, that keep coming up. One is inflation. I mean, even today, we're seeing new inflation numbers and yet have increased again. It's now 9.1% over the prior 12 months. And we're coming into next month where parents are preparing for back to school. They're going to have to decide they're going to put groceries on their table or are they going to buy new clothes and new backpack for their kids going to school? So these are real decisions that are affecting folks. Construction businesses trying to keep the doors open with the rise of the material cost. And then the other issue we're seeing, it has to do with crime. And a lot of that crime Charlie starts at the border because what sheriffs in North Carolina are telling me is every single county is now a border county because of Joe Biden's open border

"Hey everyone welcome to today's episode of developer. Thi this is the second part of my interview with joe beasley once again. This is a little bit of an unconventional type of interview for developer. T usually i have guests. Come on my show. I asked them all of the questions in a way Joel and i were kind of just having a conversation about the things that we do with our shows so it kind of feels like he's interviewing me. Sometimes sometimes it feels like I'm interviewing him and sometimes it feels like i'm talking. It's kind of a meta show about developer team so hopefully This episode is insightful. To those of you especially those of you who have been listening for a while you can kind of see why i continue to do the show Even after six years going on seven years coming up in this winter Why we continue plugging away doing three episodes a week And it really the sneak peek. Here is that it's all about you. You guys the listeners. So thank you so much for listening to this episode. Let's get straight into the second part of my interview with.

Interview With Joel Beasley From Modern CTO

"So i met this gentleman named at pnd bruin. Who owns seven cto's and he said you know do like executive peer groups for technology leaders. Vp's engineer cto's there on me. More like premium side or people are paying twenty thousand dollars a year and it's facilitated by a professional facilitator. You have to pay all that. So it's definitely good value. But he wanted to create something for the mid level of the market. Like you know people that are you know. They're they want to become a manager for the first time or they wanna move from manager to director in that was at a price point that was like much cheaper than that like super affordable even if they wanted to pay for it for themselves so i said okay because i have the audience and you have the knowledge of how to run these communities and the staff and the support so we created elevate one fifty dot com and the idea was elevate. Bring people up to the next level and then one fifty was like one of dunbar's numbers of community size. So we cap the community at one hundred and fifty people and so we have a hundred people now and We've grown over the past eight months and every week we have speakers and then the it's like a ten minute topic of conversation and then you go into a small group of like three to four people in that. That speaker has set you up with something. It's not like a generic cycling of speakers that are doing sales pitches like they have to adhere to our format. And so what it does is it gets you in these communities having these small discussions and building relationships. And that's been like unbelievable. So now i've now i've got this community where i can go and then every every week or every other week i'm getting introduced three or four new peers and were having legitimate conversations.

"More centralized service and that centralized service goes feeds Basically everything but the kids stuff. That's where you can think about it. so all of the You know kind of pbs. Proper applications they eat from our api. We we feed. They're all that data through to them so I'm responsible for coordinating teams. And you know helping essentially like. I said it's really hard to explain what we what you do. Right as a manager but essentially greasing the wheels on new initiatives for for example a technical initiatives that nontechnical people wouldn't necessarily understand the value of. It's my job to translate that. So i'm working pretty closely with developers working really closely with product folks to make that to make all of that happened right. Now we're in the process of working on a graph you'll a implementation for example. That's pretty cool. So you identify an execute on opportunities. Yeah that's that's much much simpler way of putting it right. You can also filter in there. You identify filter and then execute opportunities. Yeah and quite a bit of like. I think you know you can think about. The job is functional. I like to think about it. Also as environmental as as kind of being available and present communicating being kind of a translation Conduit and a way. I think it's easy to try to shoehorn a lot of our work. Into what process does this follow. When sometimes the process isn't really sufficient right of two or three people that are all kind of trying to work together and things aren't really working well and somebody comes in and tries to institute a process to fix it and really just now. It's a process laying on top of all of that conflict. And what you really need is something that resolves the conflict That isn't just mechanization righted. Nothing Mechanical is going to solve that issue. And that's something that i've learned going from startups too much larger confederacy organizations like pbs very different environments And very different thinking involved. Tell me about some of those differences. Yeah oh man well. So probably the most stark difference between.

That is my choice based on my experiences. And what i think is best. I'll play for free this year to live life. How i've lived from the day one if i'm forced to tune into retirement. So be it cold. Opportunities these interviews. We are building the time capsule that will remember kobe from what really happened but a couple of sponsors that make all this possible reached out to me. And you're very concerned about the university situation. And i get it but whether you have kids that are going into university or you know your own kids are having kids going to university and the universities are saying across the country as i understand it. That many universities saying you have two weeks to provide your vaccine status. And they're asking me. What do we do del. And i said well obviously i can. We are suing many of these universities as we speak. But we can't see all the universities hundreds that are making the statement about needing to be forced back in order to go to school. You heard the opinion of the man that created the vaccine doesn't think that should happen. The cdc obvious isn't going to step up. Protect protect anyone. But when i reached out to our legal team. I says what is it that people can do one of the things that we decided to build as a tool was the first number one rule of what you have to do. Is you gotta get an exemption. These two weeks really aren't going to be vaccinated. What it's doing is more suited to declare. What your status is. If you're not going to get vaccinated you need to see my status is. I'm not backseat. It because of religious reasons or whatever is available in your state. We have built a page on our website for anyone asking this question. Here you go. Just go to the informed consent action network. Or i can decide dot org and we have a covid. Nineteen vaccine exemptions page. If you open this up we show you fifty universities. We have fifty that we've directly worked with and we lay out what their exemption program is now. Obviously not ever university will be on there but reading some of those shoot. Give you a sense of what you're looking for in your university if it's not listed there. We're all suing universities. We're doing that work on our end but you need to go out and find out what exemptions available to you and get it. I also want to say this in many states. Well i i my church catholic church you know they've come out and said that vaccines are okay. The truth is is that our constitution laws of this of this land are. I'm pretty much the only only one who responded to wanting to talk about bullying. Yeah I think speaks to. How scary bullying is? And how we you become victims of bullying because we don't give people a lot of skills to write load their toolbox for dealing with bullying so when somebody gets a little bit of power to to bully if we don't have a way to put that fire out immediately man they build it just builds and that is true with little's all the way up to adults. I watch adults bully people and this happens. You know we go we we get locked into our head with. Oh my oh my gosh. What are they going to say about me?
