The Story of Pecos Bill and the Tornado

"Once upon a time in the wild west a little boy named bill fell off a wagon by the side of the pecos river. Now a normal baby would have cried. His eyes out that this boy was different. He crawled up to a mama coyote and just acted like one of her pups. It was a little hard with him. Not being as hairy. But he was raised by the coyotes for years until his older brother eventually found him and brought him home years later after that he went by the name of paco's spill and as he got older he became famous for being the toughest bronco buster there ever was and he proved it time and time again. Now in case you're a greenhorn. A bronco buster is someone who gets horses used to a saddle. Some horses are okay with being britain but others not so much the fastest and strongest horses. The best for rough riding would fight the saddle. They had to be ridden through the fighting until they got used to it to make that happen someone would have to try and ride while they were still wild. Of course the stallions would buck and spin and kick and jump and go absolutely wild until they sent their writer into the dirt. It was a hard job and bronco busters where the people they called when someone couldn't break a horse themselves and when you had a horse too tough to mean to downright nasty for a buster. You called paco's bill. Bill would travel around the wild parts of america looking for adventure and boy did he find it on his travels. He singlehandedly doug the mississippi river battled the bear lake monster to a standstill and fell in love with a wild woman who rode giant catfish down the rivers. And all that. It's just the first go round in the rodeo of bills life

"I've been to bear lake a lot of times with my family. We have a massive cabin that we used for family reunions about once a year. This was a familiar and wonderful place to me what happened in two thousand fourteen soured a lot of my experience and I don't like going there as much as I used to even if I'm okay now. I'll let you guys know upfront. This story gets a little on the religious side. Some people don't like their supernatural stories mixing with faith, but that's what some of this is. It was the first week of September, all of my friends and I would head off to separate colleges around the state when the weekend was over since it was fall, my parents didn't mind as much if my friends and I took over the cabin for a weekend trip the only catch being we had to do general cleaning before we left. Bear Lake is beautiful even though we didn't have a speedboat with US wicked still splash around on the beach have bonfires at night and generally hang out with one another. On our last night there I was on the top deck that overlooks out to the water. The cabin is settled in between a lot of other houses around us but we've got the best view for sure bear lake is a massive stretch of water that sits inside a bowl of green rolling hills. The hills are packed all over with big cabins just like my family's cabin it was nighttime and pretty late. I don't remember the exact time but camry a girl I had a crush on time had just come out to sit next to me and look over the Moonlit waterfront. I started to talk to her more and realized. This may be one of the last times I'd actually get to tell her how I felt. I do dumb stuff around cute girls especially when it's someone like camry. She was a sincere soul kind everyone she interacted with. She also had a hint of vanity about herself that mostly shown through his confidence. I told her how sad I felt that she was going to the you and I'd still be down at smu staying with my parents in Cedar City I tried to Kisser. And she leaned back a very bad sign. I felt my cheeks flush hot with embarrassment as she tried to keep talking on in conversation. About our friends and college is a new horizon to explore and that I'll meet someone great I nodded a lot mostly to show that I was somewhat engaged in conversation to be polite but I just wanted to crawl into a hole and pull it in after me. Cambria went back inside when someone called her name a frankly I don't even remember who. But I wanted to just keep sitting outside. I wanted to be alone. I have no idea how long I did stay out there listening to the crickets and looking over the way that the water shuffled over itself in the moonlight. Ask and everything in the distance I. didn't see any cabin windows lit up at all all these cabins were empty with the season being over or people went to bed hours ago I looked back to the water. To my astonishment I saw someone rising from the shoreline. I remember feeling really confused I who would go for a late night dip there's a curfew at to deter would be partners. I also wondered why they would be alone and waited to see which nearby house they would walk to. I. Couldn't see much about them other than their outline. And it was definitely a dripping wet person of some kind kicking up sloshing water with each stuff they took onto the beach. But then they stopped. I didn't understand then in that first encounter with this person was stopping to look. At me. I decided enough time had passed with most of my friends asleep that could finally come back inside. I wasn't afraid then. But I would be over the next few weeks. The next morning we packed up everything and did a top down cleaning of the house each bathroom scrubbed even if we didn't use all of them, all three floors had to be vacuumed for a true. Everything. Camry made a not so subtle point to ride in the opposite car of me. I didn't care at that point. I, really just didn't want to see her either. I sat in the front passenger seat waiting for everyone else to get in. So we could leave. I looked into the side view mirror and far away beyond the hill was dark person staring at me. I don't mean dark as dark, skinned or anything I. Literally just mean that light hardly reflected off of him. And he was dripping wet. I opened my car door and faced where the reflection was coming from. No one was there. Really I only saw the guy for to Mississippi Count in the mirror before up. I shook it off. But this is where more of it picks up. I started seeing stuff like that day but a lot more I'd hear splashing water in rooms where that sound made no sense. It only lasted for about a half second. But I know I heard it. I'd smell the terrible algae smell when lying in bed some nights. And then there was that night. I had this compelling feeling to just look outside. My feet felt numb as swung them over the side of my bed to stand up. My arms were heavy. I reached for the blinds tip open a single-blade with my fingers. It was facing me from three blocks away. The, dripping man stood against a hillside facing my window. Facing me. I crumpled to the floor to get out of sight. He was getting closer I. Start to cry. I'm not ashamed say that I was terrified and I knew I was not going to get any sleep tonight. I laid in my bed browsing youtube when I decided to just start searching for demon stories to see what would come up and if anyone else had seen anything like this. I think doug through about thirteen videos. Some started cycling through the same stories even. I decided to post a comment in the last one I saw. I want to talk to anyone in my life about the wet humanoid thing that followed me home. In my comment I said. Someone please help me. I went out to a lake, and now there's something following me. It's followed me all the way home and each time I see it it keeps getting closer. It's stark and it makes me feel despair when I look at it. What do I do? I hit comment and published it live..

Or what happens is people don't know how to pronounce it and i noticed quickly on going through contracting even turnley design agency was people are like our i like that and then the next day there's something about you. It's got some stickiness to let now and then we kind of came up with the joke does barely the woods and that's kind of how we kind of. Let people pronounce through kind of more tackling thing but that opportunity was amazing because i kind of was able to dig into that and a lot of the leg work was done and quaint went to complain of direction. I was able to grab that up pretty much yeah that was like the first round of identity development for them so when it came to actually going all in on bear lake i mean it was it was terrible experience because i was. I was my own client. Yeah i had plenty of constraints but almost no constraints at the same time you know at that appointed freelance i wasn't even at karim space kind of showing this stuff and to keep an wraps because i was so does it still exists that way working in a vacuum you know sometimes there's times where i completely independently and i just have to win it sticks and other times i can get a little more more feedback to try and make it better things that i didn't see you know and there's a few kind of face pumps over the years like oh sure so cut off the past red man. How long did you work on the visual aesthetic of love barely before you'll find your doors chris yeah. We took possession of the building january first week fourteen. We opened june twentieth of that eight years in berry time. That's insanely yes now. It's up to two and a half years. I hear i had plenty of time before that but it was kind of blue sky a imaginary stuff i didn't really i didn't really get the chance to apply until really got into to build out in the other brand illness things like that so i mean honestly. I'm still tweaking and working on today. I'm still at turn knobs constantly changing stuff that sometimes i'm like i should done this five years ago right other things i've learned as the brings evolved representation of the brand or the brands such representation of me that i feel it's really fun. It just keeps evolving because i keep evolving especially in business. I think that's obviously a benefit of you being branding inside background you know but i think listening to the curse right means needs i do everything there's no delegating even social media and photography things like that like still keep that close yeah yeah so what what did you find what kind of plan out when he opened up this red bear early on the wall here and like the taproom is very brand very well color see no. It's we walk in. It's very barely keno did did they come like did you have to kind of execute as you went along like got this wall and like many of the barely logo how we fit in on their right and i mean a lot of happy accidents the thing about when you get into build out working with zoning and permitting issues so in our we call..

Cohen must report to New York's federal Correctional Institute at Otis Ville by two PM eastern time today, and I understand he's going to be holding a news conference to get off some parting shots, I guess before he takes off and spent some time in prison up to three years. I wonder if he gets any any time offer good behavior. Anyway, that's where we are with that this morning, but as he heads off to jail, we understand the tensions are growing between congress and the attorney general William bar. Let's bring in our Capitol Hill. Correspondent Linda Kenyon for the latest on that Michael another deadline will come and go lawmakers to priorities when it comes to the attorney general I want him to turn over the unredacted version of the mullahs report second they want him to testify before congress. They wanted the same thing last week. But at least when it came to the house bar did not come through Representative David cellini on Fox News Sunday says, the chairman of the House Judiciary committee Jerrold Nadler has given William bar another chance, but his offer expires at nine AM eastern time. The chairman of the committee conveyed to the attorney general some additional compromises and said, you know, produce all deductions but prioritize those that are referenced in the report give us an opportunity to see the unredacted version, and if the general fails to comply this time, the chairman will ask the committee to move forward with. Contempt citation. This is something goes on between the administration and the congress branch Representative Doug Collins, the top Republican on the House Judiciary committee, telling CBS space, the nation that pushback between the legislative and executive branches of government is not unique to the Trump administration a give and take between the two, but what it fails to comply again, he should withdraw himself from any of the results that are leading could possibly lead to prosecutions because the MO investigation Senator Richard Durbin on CBS face the nation. Made that comment not only in connection with bars refusal so far to turn over unredacted portions of the mullahs report, but with bars decision not to show up for Thursday's hearing before the House Judiciary committee also on CBS Representative Collins defended bar just didn't want to be a part of a show. Senator Durbin says Bill bar didn't appear before the house because he was caught in alive when he testified before the Senate Judiciary committee through journal or not only received that letter from Bob Muller saying in writing that he disagreed with the turn. General's characterization the ball report he then had a telephone conversation with him to follow. And to say he wasn't aware of molars misgivings about his characterization that is at the minimum misleading. If not worse special counsel, Robert Muller himself, testified before the House Judiciary committee Representative Sicily on Fox News Sunday date has been set of may fifteenth, but the White House disagrees in a series of tweets, President Trump declared Bob Muller should not testify. No, reduce for the DEM. All right. Thanks, Linda Kenyon. Capitol hill. Correspondent reporting for first light nine minutes before the hour want to check in with Karl calling in from white bear lake Minnesota. So we have rea- and China and bar versus the Democrats on Capitol Hill. What strike you this morning? Carl. We have the sixtieth conducive with the eighties. I grew up in the eighties on my dad's. We raise cattle starvation as the worst thing that ever happened in North Korean people are starving. Yeah. Ten ten million right now, supposedly started we could feed them. We get corn and been all over the place. But I think Putin is somebody that understands Kunsi devaluation. I think what am I saying? I hope. Ronald reagan. Johnny Carson, Johnny.

"Four to eighty. Yes. Is accurate? It's a nice location. What what made you guys decide to build the lab here for ninety four and two eighty. As we look at each other. So we love the location as a quality laboratory for the twin cities. We wanna be obviously be somewhere central easy to get too easy on easy off. And then Matt's can answer. The other reason why I wanted this building as a place with. I think it's well we looked at a couple of buildings and the one thing one thing that kept on going back to is just parking and in having space and being in a an accessible area. I mean, it doesn't really get more accessible than than this easy on easy off. But then we do have we have ample parking or a couple blocks from the green line so easy to get to easy to park. Yeah. It's great. Team building event for the Vikings game last year walk down a block jump on jump off super easy. The other thing we're excited about this building is there's a large shed kind of covered area in the back that will be using music festivals beer launch parties somebody people keep talking. They want some sort of midway festival, and I think this for that you've got the space out there for an event very easily. You could put smooths put stage do all sorts of stuff out there. You got a lot of room to work with? And there's a lot going on in this area to the warehouse building. I think they're putting an eight hundred apartments over there. Kind of a growing neighborhood in sixteen hundred new customers. That's right. It's nice to see this area kind of get more mixed use, you know, for for a long time. I think when people drove past, you know, this this kind of corner, you would think of it as really just industrial. But here in that they're gonna put those those condos in Tennessee places like the lab build up here definitely a mixed use. Oh now. So can I see the different the different things get put into the into the area. So I actually notice it now. Whereas I think he just got onto ninety four. Have the the serve wall. You know, or you throw in your card, and you do your own pours. What what was the reason behind including that? So we wanted to give people a way to experiment with as much as little as they wanted without having to talk to a tender. You know, if you wanted to try maybe a Khumbu or a spike seltzer, but he didn't wanna hold pint or ask for a taste. So that really allows us to let people do that probably the most important reason to is. It's fun. Great bear lake. No. It's kind of cool. It's kind of fun. So we give stickers to people that say that they poured their own, you know, and it is gonna argue over there.

"You're first getting into it. So people like just buckle up like I even longer. You are coming into but just pushed through that really stage because it's just it's hard feel like you're suffering. It's just not a lot. You don't get that. Like, I'm floating through this run since ation. I was the same way, you know, growing up wanted to play professional baseball, and I got up in big bear lake. And my. For my dreams. Like, no. I mean me I was Easter. And it's all you know, I was not not the strongest gun the baseball field. Just despite like all my best efforts kinda hitting my head against the wall and not doing that. Well, and then one day remember driving down to basketball games when I was thirteen and looking out over the lake in my hometown. And just feeling like God is just kind of planting the seed of desire inside me to try and run around the lake which is fifteen miles around lake. And so I went out the next weekend with my dad, we went on a really slow super painful running around the lake, and, you know, that was the moment that I was kinda hooked, and and come me into my twenty near running through, and you know, in talking about that, I know like runnings kind of one of those things I had to run because you know, I I'm I raced professionally off road trucks. And we've got you know, some endurance racism in the truck sometime seventeen eighteen hours, I have been in the. Past you know, and it's one of those like you're in the middle of it. And you're getting beat up, and you know, it hurts, and it's painful, and there's a point where you sometimes you question you like, why am I actually doing this? And then the next day you wake up and you're like, oh, I understand. Why did that you know? It's like, I don't know. I gotta think with running and I've never run at the distance as you guys have. But I think there's that personal gratification. You know when you finish that run. You know, that's like that's gotta be because it's not fun. Like, you said, it's not a fun sport. But at the end of it, you know, there's there's that sense of accomplishment. Right. Yeah. Yeah. And it does get more fun. You know, like. Every run. It's like even when I was in the best shape in my way. I would have certain runs where I was just going to just make it to the end of the run, you know, running the been outside times where I was racing. I was seeing. You get those kind of. When they come so good floating law. Like this thing about learning. It's actually really fun to be uncomfortable and to push yourself and not forget it. I was a kid whether it was carrying fire mountain sand dunes. Dow. In that can translate to really nice not very useful about lean in, overcoming not struggle. Well, you know, I I gotta ask, you know. Obviously, you know, we'll talk about I guess we can go really deep into your career here. But I kind of want to zero in on on the Olympics. And this is just like I've got all these questions we're going to be about bouncing back and forth here. But like to me like I look at the Olympics. You've been fortunate enough to to run in two Olympics. I mean, how is that as an athlete, you know, because that's the pinnacle. And and I don't care. What sport you're any? Even if you're in a sport that isn't in the Olympics. I mean, that's like that's that's the I mean the Olympics. As far as I'm concerned is the biggest thing ever that happens. You know, what I mean globally once every four years, and how is that to represent your country and just just to be in Olympia. You know, we're not even talking meddling. But there's something special about just actually being there. And you know, and being a part of the Olympics. Right. Absolutely. I mean, the dream ever since I started running that was always the goal, you know, and every athletes will the different that's necessarily everyone. School. But it is for for most people like that's the dream..
