Boris Johnson claims no child will go hungry as he 'salutes' Marcus Rashford

"Boris Johnson is defending his decision to increase universal credit rather than provide free meals for poor Children during school holidays. Some 2200 members of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health have written an open letter to the prime minister saying they were Shocked by his refusal to back down on the issue. Now I got kids back in school. That's the most important thing. And so we think that the best way of tackling holiday hunger isn't it is an issue, you know? Marcus Rashford, who were working. I totally salute understand where he's coming from. This's something with that we need to focus on the issue of holiday hunger. But the way to deal with it we think is by increasing the funds available for universal credit. We put up by about 1000 year but also To put more into local councils. So in addition to the funds regarding the 63 million specifically to help do with with holiday hunger, with pressure on on families Also supporting organizations across the country that they're dealing with the problem way certainly recognize that there is an issue we have bean dealing with it. Continuously throughout the period of the pandemic we're going to continue to deal with and just repeat the point. We will make sure we will do everything in our power to make sure that no kid no child goes hungry this winter during the holidays. Now. The doctors who wrote to the British prime minister say some four million Children live in poverty and ah, third rely on free school mil meals. They also praised Manchester United soccer star Marcus Rashford for Pressing the issue of child hunger.

Nigerian forces accused of killing anti-police brutality protesters

"In Nigeria, where security forces have opened fire on anti government demonstrators in Lagos. This is what it sounded like. Sit down. Sit down. You can hear people telling everyone to sit down in the hope that they wouldn't be shot. We heard earlier on this program from a witness. Who said that he counted 20 fallen protesters around him. The incident took place at 6 45. We were told last night in the suburb of Lucky. This is quite an upmarket area in Lagos. It was where crowds had bean blocking traffic a toll booth at a pinch point. Basically, they were blocking traffic, causing trouble in pursuit of their campaign against police brutality and SARS. Let's speak now to someone Who was there? Certainly in the early stages of the demonstrations, not lost eagle who joins us now? Thank you very much indeed. For coming on and trying Tio, help us or help us tryingto enlightened people about what actually happened now what stage were you at the demonstration? Cause I understood that you left. Why did you leave? Yeah, it becomes so, so terrible And the situation went out of town. When the military listening they came in on when they came in. It thought we thought they were China, you know? Guardo's, You know, but all of the saddle in the open fire on a little people saw such enjoy about this morning about 52 people. We shut down so it was soaked arable and you can see the puts off the light so that we could get a clear shot off what was happening on the area and also understand the the security cameras that might have provided images of what was going on. Also got taken down now. Didn't that That gave you a warning, didn't it? You and the other protesters that something was going to happen? That was the one but you can see the food That was for Vita that it was very, very peaceful. We will hold no weapons. There was no where person, So we only have been a drunk like you see, people were sitting down on the ground because then first on Was not a fight. You understand that, and that's a very important point to make, because elsewhere, the authorities have said some of these protests have turned violent or violent elements have tried to take advantage You're saying at lucky last night, there was no violence offered a tall Can I ask you about one particular thing? I'm sure you have seen. The army on its official Twitter handle has been saying this is all fake news. The army was never there. You saw the army. How do you know that They were the Army. Because we're house on putting this off If you need me to provide that for you going to do is footage is off the army when they were shooting on that one. You guys didn't get the footage. We have it. I was 12 the don't know on DH. You know, it's the Army. Why? Because they had uniforms. Yes, they have uniforms. This. You know, this thing's was building that the evidence didn't hide behind. The issue. No own uniforms. The killed are very close. And it's very difficult to get to the bottom of what's going on, particularly how many people were injured. You. You mentioned the figure of around 50. Now That's the first time that I've heard that figure. What What are you basing that on? Is that what people are saying at the moment before saying that life was put on After I left yesterday, but on you consider people were you know down on this truth, reason why you're not getting the actual father of budding stories because the government is involved. They are trying. They are trying to hide his story because they need what they have done. This is really evil. This is bad. The kid's on citizens. This is suddenly I wasn't able to get those politicals people school so terrible a slight but when you see when, but when you see what happened to demonstrations. Are you going to go back to the street? Will you carry on protesting? You know, for now, For now, we have two weeks before the officials on what to do, because we don't know now how this situation is going to be because we can't trust nobody in the government of females in this country. We don't like that coming. But if people go back on the street again, so wait have We have to settle down. I really thought about this carefully because this is a question of Marchal. Filmmaker Finds An Unlikely Underwater Friend In 'My Octopus Teacher'

"We're talking with filmmaker Craig Foster about his movie, My Octopus teacher which you can find on that Flix. So you know, the common Octopus has a pretty short life span of about a year. And you would you know, you've figured out he'd been spending a lot of time with this octopus and and clearly her lifespan was was coming to an end. Did you start to feel ambivalent about your trips to the ocean during those last days like Were you looking forward to seeing her, but also dreading the end? Yeah, it was obviously difficult. You know, you get close to an animal like this on DH. Um I wass Ah, I wass certainly dreading that. But at the same time, I mean, I guess in some ways, it's better than ah. A human death because it's quite merciful. It's quite it's quite short. Um, and also what happens when she gets to the end of her life. She becomes sin isn't see now, so her brain starts Tio not work so well, so she's not fully aware of what's going on in that brought some comfort. So we see the octopus mate. A male octopus comes along and It's at first just sitting near her, and then it looks like one of his arms is extending out to her. What's mating like for an octopus looked pretty transactional. Yes. I mean, it can be very dangerous as sometimes the in, especially if the female is bigger. She can even kill the male after Mating. So sometime he's sometimes he's very cautious, and that's why I like extending the arm. Right arm tackles this tiny little Penis on the end of the arm. And so it's It's Ah, yeah, they're very anti social animals. It's not. It's not some great love affair, that's for sure. And does this process signal the end of the life cycle for both of male and the female? Correct. So the male, um also started to Terry it quite quickly after after the mating Called. I think the word is similar operas and many animals, especially insects have the same process. So the octopus Hatches her babies and at this point She's sort of been holding on to her life energy to sort of get to that point, and then she's sort of the end of her life and Her energy is gone and her body washes out of her den. And there's this incredibly beautiful but but sad image that you have of her laying on the sea floor. And her eyes were closed. And she's gotten really pale say she can no longer sort of change the color of her skin and Like her body swing. A little bit with the movement of the water. It's It's a It's an incredibly moving shot. I was just wondering what you felt like taking that job. Yeah. I mean, it's ah. Um It's most difficult, very, very difficult, and it's hard to sort of express it without getting a bit emotional. Um Ah, almost try Tio not to think of that too much because it makes me feel Ah, sad. Um, so very difficult, very difficult. In the movie. You say that you still visit her den. After her death, and and you would sort of float above it and feel her presence. Do you? Do you still do that? Do you visit her? Damn funny enough, Sam went Ah tio. She had a few dance but remain. Dan was she spent most of the time I went to visit that then today this morning It's you know, it's just a great feeling, you know to go there and, you know, I just dive down and kind of silently. Thank you for this incredible teaching that she's given me. Um And what's so interesting is that and No. I've seen there was there was nothing. What happens is once she moves out of the den. It soon fills up completely with sand say it's basically just a rock edge. That's what's so interesting is that, um Other octopuses seem to be able to some a sense exactly where she stands, and they have made a den and exactly that same place and I've seen this at other dance sites as well. So there's something Maybe they can smell. There's some incredible ability to smell because then they have to, of course, excavate and dig the whole day. Now there's no sign of it having bean And say, I'm sure ah few weeks or a month. I'll find another octopus in that same exactly that same place and it's not Ah ah! 20 or 30, centimeters away. It's in the same place.

Do We Live in a Simulation? Chances Are about 50–50 ...

"A new study from astronomer David KIP ING published this summer, and the Journal Universe argues that the odds we live in a simulation are just about fifty fifty. As you can imagine this has caused a bit of a stir scientific American broke down kipling's arguments as well as some responses to it, and some of the previous where he was building off of an a lot of it frankly goes a bit over my head, but I wanted to share some highlights at first for the less matrix inclined listeners. What exactly do I mean by the idea of living in a simulation basically that all of us are mere virtual beings existing if you WANNA call it that unknowingly in a massive computer simulation? Over the years many scientists have tried to uncover ways. We could prove whether this is true or not. But some of the work has also revolved around calculating the odds of US living in a simulation or whether we are simply in base reality that is to say that we actually exist and this isn't all simulated. Is. Worth noting there's a lot of debate over what the simulation actually means and how one even defines consciousness for that matter. I kinda like this interpretation from Neil degrasse Tyson that he shared on a recent episode of Star Talk Quoting Scientific American, the simulation would most likely create perceptions of reality on demand rather than simulate all of reality all the time much video game optimized. To, render only the parts of the scene visible to a player maybe that's why we can't travel faster than the speed of light because if we could, we'd be able to get to another galaxy said Chuck Nice the show's Co host before prompting Tyson to gleefully interrupt before they can program it. The astrophysicists said delighting at the thought. So the programmer put in that limit end quote. Someone Pretty. Wild to think about and apart from the Matrix movies bringing this concept to the mainstream most scientists refer back to a two thousand three paper by Nick. Bostrom in Oxford philosopher which quote the Magic, a technologically adept virtualization that possesses immense commuting power and needs a fraction of that power to simulate new realities with conscious beans in them. Given this scenario, his simulation argument showed that at least one proposition in the following trauma must be true. I humans almost always go. Before reaching the simulation savvy stage second, even if humans make it to that stage, they are unlikely to be interested in simulating their own in central, passed and third. The probability that we are living in a simulation is close to one and quotes. But more recently keeping whose paper I mentioned was published earlier. This summer collapsed those first two propositions into one because in both cases, there are no simulations and he used busy and reasoning to calculate the probability busy and reasoning quote allows one to calculate the odds of something happening called the posterior probability but I making assumptions about the thing being analyzed, assigning a prior probability and quotes. Using the reasoning with regards to the simulation kipling's calculation comes out to about fifty fifty. It leans slightly in favor of based reality in part because he says that even in a world where we can simulate reality as more and more of them are spawned the computing resources of each generation dwindles and eventually simulations aren't able to be hosted bought. The odds could change if we do actually invent the technology to simulate conscious beans at which point, it becomes almost certain that we are living in a simulation. And could we ever figure out if we're not real whom on Awadhi and expert on computational? Mathematics. At the California Institute of Technology says only if there's a finite amount of computational power because if it's infinite, it could create whatever degree of reality necessary to continue tricking. US. Essentially, there's a lot of complex hypothesizing going on in several different fields and you can read a little bit more about. The link in the show notes. But at the end of the day keeping goes back to Adams Razor, which says that simplest explanation is usually correct and in this case, the simplest explanation is that we're at based reality there is no simulation just the boring hard truths of our real existence. So take that as your red pill.

"It is the only podcast I listen to every day, and you turned me on to other great shows like I disagree and opening arguments I apologize in advance for the length of my good news but it's a bit of a story for some time I have volunteered with a motorcycle organization that works with abused children. It's a big part of my life and something that. Is really important to me in June two, thousand nineteen we were riding before work with the child and when coming to a stop the back brakes on my harley locked up, I had a split second to make a decision on what to do and the only way to not hit any other bikes was to pull right and get out of the pack. Unfortunately, that was into the back of a truck around forty five miles an hour. My injuries were extensive including a broken wrist broken pelvis and considerable damage to my face. I spent months in the hospital and physical rehab facilities had eight surgeries including plastic surgery to fix my face. Good luck. I got a bone infection, a couple of emergency procedures after surgery complications, a pick line and I had external fixated and external fix her that's two rods sticking ten inches out of my pelvis, which made any movement painful. After more than two decades in my field and three years at the job I had at the time I was fired by email because of my recovery timeline. Now it's tough to say the least the only silver lining was to be able to watch virtually all of the impeachment hearings and testimony and listen to you listen to your breakdown of it. In February this year I was finally ready to get out of the wheelchair and start walking on crutches. No. So excited to get back to some sort of life and do my pt. And then covert hit. I ended up moving from the charity crutches crutches to Kane Kane to nothing pretty much on my own I became very focused on my diet and workout routine went from simple leg movements in my wheelchair and using putty to strengthen my hand and wrist to doing ten to twenty miles a day on a bike weightlifting, and now I can even work out on my punching bag. I didn't think I would have ever be able to do that. Again I've lost a considerable amount of weight and probably healthier than I've been in my in many years granted. I've so much titanium in May that some of the pain will be lifelong but the fact that I can walk at all is lucky given the circumstances. Under the good news during my recovery I came to the realization that my long career in hotel management with hollow and no longer with my time. The money was good. But the stress was massive and I didn't feel like it was doing anything positive for society as a whole in my youth. I had serious serious issues with addiction that followed me into adulthood. I eventually moved away from where I grew up to escape it. And while I never used therapy or rehab I often wish I had I had lost several loved ones to addiction including to just in the last year with nothing but time to read and decided it was done working like a dog to make rich guys richer I got registered as a substance use disorder counselor and started taking classes towards my towards my a O. And up correction perspective from anonymous Pronoun She and her I am so grateful to you in this podcast it really helps me stay informed if you ran for president, I definitely vote for you I did however have a criticism more of a perspective check and I making sure to sandwich happy face in one of your podcast last week when discussing the benefits of having your college paid for and other times throughout the podcast you keep using. The word contributing to society when referring to free colleges or healthcare and worthiness have individuals as someone who cannot work due to multiple chronic illnesses as well as complete P.. T. S. or S. COMPLEX PTSD I often hear from others mainly conservatives about how me not being a contributing member of society I should thank them for the small amount monthly get which trust me I'm so grateful for and I know way too many are denied needed to. I myself fought for five years having foreign curable painful physical issues one degenerative and complex PTSD and I have to fight every few years to keep it. I hate that. When it comes to free healthcare education everyone regardless of a if they can contribute to society deserve it I, know you understand this but since you're able to contribute to society might not understand how hurtful it is that being a good person. Is in the society the world really depends on how much one can contribute to society. I'm so grateful to you and your podcast you understand the INS and outs of the government in explain all of what's going on straightforward way. So much of the news so much that the news leaves out extremely God I found your podcast two years ago at definitely helped. ME. Get through all of this. Have a wonderful week. Thank you truly appreciate you. Thank you so much for that I am going to make a concerted effort to to to not saying that or modify it when I say contributing member of society what I'm what I'm trying to say and what I will be more clear about in the future is that I'm Putting my taxes toward the common good which includes. You know these entitlements. Programs and benefits that people have earned and deserve. Such as folks with disabilities including myself so I. Appreciate you pointing that out yeah I can see how that would sound. Without an explanation or an understanding. Can Be. It can be offensive. You know I'm a contributing member of society indicating that that's what you need to be in order to be worth something, and then also a lot of times the reason I say it is because I'm thinking of it from a Republican perspective where that's what they do think that you have to be a contributing member to society. and it's so it's sort of a knife twist on them really more than anything else. But well, unwell read well understood and I will make sure to watch that in the future and thank you for pointing it out. Next, up from Paul Pronouns he and him Hey, beans queens aside from crossing paths with both of you both you and Jordan from time to time over the years in real life via the San Diego comedy scene, I've been a huge fan of both podcasts kitchen days..

"But. This is an area that we need to fix and I want to be really clear. Michigan when it comes to veteran care keeps coming up at the bottom of all those lists, right? Like we're always right near the bottom and I know after thirty four years in Congress. Why hasn't Fred Upton be able to actually deliver for our veterans to get them the care that they need. and. You know for me This is an area that I think that we can make some real improvement on and you know I I was just talking to some veterans who are upset because you know the tricare costs are going up and You know they're waiting too long to get the care that they need. So on my website, John Lead Dot Com we have a number of issues pages but if you go to the section that's talking about veterans. I. WanNa. Make sure that we can do things to actually. Help veterans get additional skills training that the when they're coming out of the service I as a state legislator voted to remove barriers some recognized more of the service the credentials that are earned in the service that could then be applied to Michigan licensing what expand that nationwide. So we can cut red tape and helps veterans apply those services apply their skills to the job market I supported making sure that we That, we're actually taking our veterans seriously and that means you know supporting their healthcare. So we can reduce, wait wait times and finally you know in Michigan have. We have. Veterans homes and I've been proud to work with senator brings and other state legislators as we fought to make sure that our veterans got the care that they needed. Sometimes, they were being drastically underpaid for I want to crack on those types of uses across the country and make sure that we're actually honoring our commitment to our veterans Yeah and like you said at here on your platform, you oppose attempts to privatize the Department of Veterans. Affairs and Try Care Dod may chess all of those programs right now I know aspirin and trump have removed two point two billion dollars out of tricare to try to send everyone out to private insurance private health insurance and I know that the VA also under trump expanded sending veterans out for sub-standard care with longer wait times that cost the taxpayers three times as much money as it does within the VA and so you know and I love your idea of. When veterans get out of the service you know. Let's provide them with free education to become optometrist's physical therapists and Ortho the top three things needed within the Department of Veterans Affairs and you know just and have have a working programme work program like that I, think that that would be absolutely outstanding and then also legalizing or decriminalizing legalizing marijuana because as. A veteran I'm not even allowed to talk to my doctor at the va about medical marijuana. So and we know that I mean that's absurd and we know that this is something that could provide immediately relief for so many veterans and I just want to go back to one other point you said, you know we've watched as these privatization attempts are happening now and again the guy running against his has not fought against them but I this this sort of privatization is insidious and it's happening not only. Within Veterans Affairs but also you know in social attempts in social security and so many other parts of our our healthcare system, and so this is an area that I think we're seeing a major shift in the country. You know I'm proud to be supportive Mike. We've like social security works pack because. I'm always going to be fighting efforts that are going to be re in I'm. GonNa, be fighting efforts to privatize Medicare to privatize social security to privatize the VA and so You know this is just something. This is a yet another example where putting a for profit Moda. In these particular instances particularly in healthcare just has not been good for our veterans or seniors and so many other Americans. In a as as a employee of the Department of Veterans Affairs before I was removed after my podcast was investigated but story for another time they started giving us the payroll tax holiday defunding social security. So I got more money in my paycheck, which I will then have to pay back taxes and meanwhile we have nothing going into our social security to make it solvent. and. It's this is all we could go on forever but I wanted to talk a little bit about. Some of your you know you've got some urban suburban and rural areas and I wanNA talk a little bit about. Your rural investment in in your in the sixth district, their expansion of broadband and the environment because we have to preserve I mean Michigan so beautiful and we have to preserve these areas. Absolutely and you know I I was born originally in South Dakota friends. So I I'm never going to be afraid of a of a Cornfield but the the thing I laugh about is that we have folks who Who are saying that they're advocating for our rural communities but they have failed to deliver. You know we figured out a hundred years ago. How To? The leary but why is it taking decades this figure out how to make sure high speed Internet gets to every single one of our homes you know if we want small communities to thrive, they have to stay connected we. There's so much work that we can be doing from anywhere and I'll put our quality of life in our small towns you know up against any other place in the world right? We have some of the best places to live and raise a family, but that assumes that you can. Connect to the Internet that you can do your virtual work that you can get on that zoom call without worried about it being dropped in a world where that matters even more. Now because of the digital divide that exists on education in in in other economic areas we have to double down but unfortunately so many folks are in the pocket of their biggest corporate pat. Givers in particularly in telecom where they have fought efforts and I know this as a state legislator where we've tried to put an effort that would actually open up competition and innovation in some of our smaller rural markets and they keep saying, no, they actually keep saying, give us money and we'll go do it, and then they drag their feet and a lot of times they don't. So. That's step. One step two is making sure that we're investing in our schools because people don't move places that they don't have high quality schools for their kids, and if we want our rural communities to be competitive,.

West African regional bloc lifts sanctions against Mali

"Molly and the transition government that has taken over a mixture of military and civilian personnel taking over after the coo of a few weeks back now to express their disapproval for the coup, the West African regional block Echo s imposed economic sanctions. It's now lifted. Those sanctions because of the appointment of a mixed civilian and military transition government. But the political crisis carries on particularly as regards the growing jihadist threat as well. There's all sorts of rumors back and forth about the release of militants and other people from prison. In return, it's hoped for two hostages. One of whom is a French humanitarian, the other whom a senior opposition figure, actually it's not quite clear whether that's happened or not. Andrew Levitch is watching the situation. He is a Mani watch it with the European Council on Foreign Relations asked him first off how the sanctions which have just being lifted, have bean affecting ordinary people in Mali. Phyllis ordinary people. It really depends on what sector you were, and there are many people who commented during son that they weren't particularly affected by sanctions. So it was a bit of a mixed bag for the impact on Mullins. But certainly it does mean that for many people, I think the process of the transitional government can move forward. And there's the less confusion and less back in port between Nikolas and Molly and then course also between the international community in Mali. And what do you think of the end of the set up as it is? Echo have Bean satisfied that there are sort of civilians in government positions, But there's still many, many military people in government positions as well. In terms of the transition government. Do you think they've done a good job? I mean, good figurehead. Is there a mechanism for the handover? Which everyone agrees on? All the truth is that we don't know. Right now. It is still very early on DH as I've written. This transitional process has been steered by the military wanted from the beginning. Embattled change their very song represented in some of the key ministries of transitional government. Of course, the head of the National Committee for the Salvation of the People is still the vice president of the tradition, and the president and prime minister really seem to have been hand cooked by the CNST. That doesn't necessarily mean That the transition won't go smoothly. It's just that what we're seeing now is that the military and the military junta has kept their hand very firmly on this process. And so we're going to have to see what unfolds over the next 18 months. There's a very ambitious set of reforms that have been laid out and the transition government. There are some people in a government very well regarded. But at the same time, apparently some cause to be concerned by how predominantly the winter is featured in this transitional government. Do the military have an incentive to cede power? They say they're going to go do they have an incentive to go? Well, so this is part of the competition because there have been a number of allegations of corruption within the security services wasn't she is? Of course, there have been some reports that The members were very unhappy at this corruption they've promised to fight. Some of the corruption that was alleged against the son of the former president, of course, was in the National Assembly but also was the chair of the National Assembly's Commission on Defense and Security, the transitional president promised in his opening speech as president after he's Forbes oath of office. To combat this corruption, but we're going to have to see if it actually happens in practice. That's when you did the hard part also about the kind of the reports and they are conflicting reports. We should say of the possible release by extremists of two figures, a French aid worker and the leader of the opposition as well, who was taken while campaigning in the Timbuktu area. Would this indicate on opening of relations between the hunter on DH militant forces in the north? What do we read into that? Because that would seem on the face of it to be good news. Certainly thank everyone is hoping that these reports are true and that the two hostages will be released soon. There's been a lot of conflicting information just today and yesterday about What was actually happening. This does seem to mark very significant concession on the part of the government. Of course, these negotiations have been ongoing for years off and on to start and then, of course, policy say they've been going on again off and on since he was kidnapped, So this isn't just something from the hunter. I think we can safely conclude that this wouldn't have gone forward without their approval.

Clorox wipes are still the hard-to-find pandemic item

"Most things that we couldn't find during the start of the pandemic like toilet paper, paper towels, pasta, beans, even rice stuff in shorts play pretty much back for the most part, but one thing remains elusive. Clorox Wipes can't find him anywhere. Clorox chief Supply Officer Andy Marie in charge of figuring out how to make more wipes, he tells The New York Times It's a point of personal frustration for me. Find Her smart, soothing and engaging so much better than drinking and ZANEX. Oh and by the way she makes a great podcast interview. She sounds amazing. Yeah, I'm going to look. I'm looking at right now. Professor Heather Cox Richardson, and it's called letters from American, so that's really cool. I'M GONNA. Check that out. Yeah, that sounds very cool. Subscribe here, we go. I did it. Thank you so much. Haley ass- none decide later. Okay? Sorry Okay next up is from number number. Thank you ever financially. Her amber says during our team meeting conference. Call this morning. We were able to have a great thoughtful discussion on pronouns, and I was able to tell my co that this week is non. Binary Awareness Week which in a State Department? That's something topic that isn't discussed without Eeo. Training Yea Hell Ya so very very very powerful and important to bring awareness to the tables that you can absolutely happy non Binary Awareness Week to all non binary and gender non conforming entrance listeners a valued and we love you. and yes. We do yes, we're glad that you to our show and. I'm glad that you were able to present that to your co-workers amber. That's so rad and it's I'm happy to with all the bad things happening that you hear about the government so nice to hear about people at all levels like trying to make a change anyway totally and yeah in talking you know like you said when you're able in, and you feel safety talking about this and chairing it with the world around you. If everybody did that, then you wouldn't. Even you know it's just rast roots. Grassroots works absolutely all right. The next one is from Mo. she's her the trump. The trump administration not type. Is No longer. It's no longer going to expel international GRADUATE STUDENTS STUDYING OUR COUNTRY AD possibly covered this earlier on in the show, but anyway this is great news for the country. These students. This is great news is unbelievable to me I mean I don't know why they unbelievable right I mean they use opportunity. They can't kick out non US citizens every possible opportunity, but for some of these students they were saying. If you don't attend in person classes you. You're GONNA be deported. Deported immediately, is going to be revoked must just unreasonable basement? Some of these people have been here a long time their. You know they've come all the way to the US. Their right minds and they're possibly training to take highly skilled positions in this country, and they've made a life international tuition you know and to say you have to put your life at risk. If you don't attend in person, classes were provoking your visa. I'm really happy also as an immigrant that that was. Struck down. News? It almost sounds like it is good news for sure it does for me fall into the category potentially of trump, announcing really crazy, awful shit, and then he takes it back, and then he wants credit for taking it back, and this is something that he does consistently. He did a lot when it came. You know to like immigration decisions and he just I mean this is. This is another one just in a different form so so I. Think I'm I'm. I'm really afraid that him and his team take moments to just peddle and throw out a like a you know really fucked up and it's. It's almost like a kind of dog whistling. You know you say you say this idea. It starts to get attention. It seeps into the minds of his followers in the minds of his followers and people start freaking out, and like changing how they operate in sync in Steph, and then and then he just let me. Right the ship. It's the good days block. Oh, yes. I appreciate welcome. However some of the things that he says to his fanatical followers ends up. You know actually passing and so I think we I mean as much as you're right, and I totally hear your theory, and it's super valid. We also have to celebrate the fact that this time it didn't actually get past that that's been struck down one hundred percent. I totally get how many going into Iran immediately after it would seem to overshadow the good news or just does overshadow the good news. Didn't mean to do that, so thank you know that's totally take up, but I think I, think your theory on that is completely valid and I think he does a lot to sow confusion, and all the time, and you're absolutely right, but I'm so grateful that all of these immigrants get to stay because what a horrible time to be forced to travel around the world. World also during a pandemic. Yes, I'm not going to visit my family in Canada right now because it's not really driving distance flying is just not safe right now, so also to not only like to to say well. If you're not attending, imprison classes because you don't feel safe, then you have to like travel internationally to get home. That's not safe either so I'm I'm I'm relieved. Right yes. Thank! Okay next from Jamie Pronoun she her, she says since the beginning of the pandemic, I have been struggling with ways to make a difference locally. My kid is our four six and seven, so my ability to help in person pretty limited I. Do what I can a few weeks ago. I was trying to figure out how to make our home more inviting, not like we can have anyone over, but we live at the entrance to a walk. Slash bike path used by many people every day. That's how are welcome. Garden was conceived. We scrounged up a bunch of big rocks, desert life and painted them in vibrant colors in Penn. the word welcome in six different languages. "If this were in isolation in shoe on the other foot. Many of the people you know calling for ethics investigations probably feel a little different. That's not a huge defense, right? But it is something to think about the overall context effects that and I think big picture systems thinking here it's it it sort of develops to standards one for them and one for the rest of US civil servants I'm no longer one, but you know I had I took very pain pain two steps to not violate the Hatch Act and to act with an ethical guidelines, and it's it's almost as like we have two systems of justice in the country where stone gets his sentence commuted, but reality winner is still in jail and Briana Taylor's murderers walking free. It's like it's it's it I just don't like that. To! Standards System I. Just don't like these different classes of what kind of ethical person you have to be. You know one one hundred percent agree on what's amplify both of those statements. If you had told your boss what Kellyanne Conway replied to the to the memory, right if you had sent to your boss. Haczek good luck prosecuting the under which is which is again a near direct tariff rate new direct quote of what of what Kellyanne Conway said if you had said that your boss like. There would be criminal charges pending against you right like like the right desired correct. Yeah, well both right, they would have immediately taken disciplinary action because Frank. The hat check is not right the Posse comitatus act. Really it's not like you can say Oh, no one is ever brought. The bar is high with the bar isn't infinity and when you say I don't care if you're if I'm violating your dumb law, that's usually enough for prosecutors to prosecute and for juries to infer intent. So! I look again and I've said this on your show, but to me I think this all goes back to the first domino, which was Donald Trump got into office and said Oh jared Kushner on the White House staff and everybody around him, said He's your son in law were Republicans? Do you remember like the whole? You're old enough to remember us all. All being pissed off about the Robert. Kennedy thing and we passed a whole bunch of laws, specifically saying you can't put people like that. In positions of power, it's super robust, and it's super clear and trump said right, but I don't give a shit. I WANNA do it. What's the punishment and everybody looked around him was like well. I guess you could try. And, and and that began plus began the trump administration, so yeah, and then he also removed all of the people who who warned against it, and he ignored all the red flags and couldn't get clearance, but he gave him clearance. Anyway, it's it. It is preposterous I mean you. You have verified this independently, but like the the number of. Long standing, civil servants who describe the communications from the White House during transition as having received emails from Jared Kushner demanding that they identify political appointees within their within their department. is you know uncountable like that's a matter of public record, and and it wasn't just. Ashley helped he wasn't. He wasn't only looking for that then he put out revisions to the Hatch Act. Saying you can't say anything about about trump specifically. And and then you know they. They emailed all of us and said okay. You have however many regulations you have you need to for every? Was it for every three regulations? You need to cut one of them, so you know here. We are healthcare organization trying to provide health care for veterans. Like what regulations would you like us to cut like? These are all here. For a reason, it was just it's. It's Bananas I. This is when you have the perfect conjunction of ideologues, idiots in power, because because seriously like the only way that make sense is if you're thirteen year old boy, reading Ayn rand for the first time, and you're like that's right. Regulations are bad and like like literally like Ronald Reagan's political philosophy was more sophisticated than that really like there was nobody dumb enough to think like government bad. That's why I run it. Except the the. To fifty fifty slip at the split between. Partisans and and and buffoons who currently occupy control the entirety of the US government, so oh, yeah, well ahead of the head of the EPA is an oil guy, the head of the you know. They! The Secretary of Education is is hates public schools you know. Like we said I. Think we sent this a couple of years ago. Trump would put a Dingo in charge of a baby so. Again. People don't realize how how. Like again, our side is like well. You know that Republicans, so of course felt like didn't use to be that way like when when James Watt was nominated to be secretary of the interior and was like well. What we're GONNA do is. We're going to draw more. We're GONNA mind more. We're going to cut more timber like he lost that nomination in a Republican controlled Senate. Right like this is. It it didn't use to be okay to put the Dingo in charge of guarding the baby and and I do fear like you know. Political memories are short. Believe me I know that. From the number of third party donors, I had to argue with in two thousand sixteen when I was like. Don't you remember two thousand and they're like? No, I'm nineteen of course I. Don't and then. I had to beat them. Aside the head with a Croquet Mallet it it like. Political Memories are short and Rini to hold on and be holding the line that like this is not the kind of stuff that's ever been okay and I. You know I. I have I have some optimism but but we have a lot of work to do. Come you know. Come January twenty twenty one a lot of work to do in November, we a lot more to do in January. Yeah, if we win. You. Don't take it for granted. If we win and ignore the polls. They look good, but ignore him and you know fight like we're ten points down. Vote numbers too big to manipulate and Yeah, I mean it's it's hard. It's hard to hold on hope, but I think I think. As long as you know, we're here for each other. I think it'll be all right and I just got I. Just Hope to God we win in November I'm I'm I'm with you? It's it's one of the things I mean a our. Our friendship cannot be measured but it's one of the things I love about continuing comeback on your show continuing to have you come back on my show. People need community right now and I feel like you know you're helping to build that hopefully. We're helping to build that To get us through an administration that is buoyed entirely by like. We feel good when we trobe ellipse right like like that is the guidance philosophy to the extent that there is one of public policy pronouncements out of the trump administration, and like it's really you don't have to feel bad about feeling bad about the fact that that's where our government is like..

"In regard specifically two crimes that relate to contact with Russia or contacts with high up trump officials that talk to Russia themselves this is overlying the Congress and obstruction of justice and threatening witness an threatening witness-tampering witness. Tampering witness intimidation. Yeah that's precisely what it is And there's a big band is going to be a key witness because at some point bannon and stone email back and forth and and Bannon Stone said. I think I can win this election. But it's going to get ugly or something like that it ain't it ain't pretty pretty it ain't pretty yeah And so what. That was the thing to Manafort. It was like a have an idea. Yeah got some ominous but see the thing is that an you know in order to prove that he lied to Congress. You have to go tord intent. And that's what stones defense lawyer was arguing. You weren't in his mind. Thank God for that. You don't know what he was thinking. So they're going to have to talk about all of this conspiracy with Russia and contacts with the president. They're going to have to get that out in the open in order to prove that he had this intent. The reason he lied was because it looked bad for trump And that is real and true and and the more they hammer on all these different little e mails and things that gates is going the same things that Bannon's GonNa say and Shit that he talked manafort about. We'll prove that. I think it will bear out defense intense hard to prove not in this case. Yeah what's the name of his defense. Attorney Bah Bah cow. Bobo Balde Cow B. O. G. O. W. I think bug L. I know that the prosecutor is that was me today. Watching the news. Like Zilenski is talking about Roger Stone. And I'm like the president's balls Alinsky from Muller's team I guarantee you there's already articles going around. That are just like see. They are the and to everyone who thought impeachment would ruin Democrats and hurt us in elections last night. We got a different message. And I hate to say I told you so. But that's a lie because I love to say I told you so but for real high five no matter what because it's looking like impeachment isn't going to negatively impact. Our Elections Kentucky has a Democratic Credit Governor As Bashir seems to have beaten Bevan though Bevan hasn't conceded yet because he's giant fucking baby trump campaign for him. He had that K. K. K.. Rally pretty much such that night. in Kentucky we saw with Rand Paul trying to out the whistle blower challenging the media to out the whistle blower and in that county where trump had that rally Bashir Bashir. One two to one. He picked up support in major cities but the big story is he picked up the Cincinnati suburbs which always go republican any picked up votes in coal country which which is unheard of because trump trump won Kentucky by thirty points and then Mississippi Hood loss but only by six points that's bananas in Mississippi and that closed up plot it did. It was a pretty wide margin at the beginning. Yeah closed up around. Six Points and Democrats took the Senate and House of delegates in Virginia Twenty one to nineteen in the Senate fifty three to forty two in the house More importantly though This wind shows that gerrymandering matters because back in two thousand seventeen DEM's won the state wide vote by ten points but failed to take the house which it came down to a tied race that they decided by drawing a name from a bowl and that turned out to be a Republican last night that Republican lost his seat in the DEM's were able to take both the house and the Senate Senate and for the first time in four hundred years and it is four hundred. I check gets the. They were assembled in sixteen. Nineteen Jamestown at acquire church. That's when the House of delegates started a female speaker of the House for the first time Elia So in two thousand Seventeen Virginia was racially gerrymandered. But the courts killed that map and new maps were drawn for two thousand Nineteen Fair maps. And so now they were able to easily not easily by two seats. Three seats two seats. Take the how or know fifty three forty two two. That's eleven seats. Elia gerrymandering matters and Republicans can't win unless they cheat yes Did you see the statement from trump pence campaign about the Kentucky elections. Oh the one where they won. Yes well okay no really great and Kentucky. Last night he says President Trump's rally held This is by Brad price go. He says President Trump's rally held five of six Kentucky. Republicans win clear. Statewide victories including attorney general elect Daniel Cameron who will be the First Black AG in Kentucky history and the first Republican to hold the office in nineteen forty eight the the president just about dragged Governor Matt Bevin across the Finish Line helping him run stronger-than-expected in what turned into a very close race at the end a final final outcome remains to be seen these two around trump heard him on you dumb ass year so sad right now. McConnell is scared of Oh yeah we're GONNA get to that in Hashtag Also trump junior out of the whistle blower on twitter. And now there's a house resolution to protect the whistle so blower and this isn't just a stunt to create an enemy for trump to go after which we talked about but this is also a way for trump to silence future whistleblowers through taliation intimidation. And that's frightening running. Yeah and we'll the Republicans got into the record today. Yeah Yeah in Natasha Bertran reported that by asking dressing the add directly directly had conversations with this person specifically to the record and it was tweeted out by junior. God Hi Dan all right. I'm full of Schadenfreude to make feel better from having post remember the cyclist who flipped off trump's motorcade and was fired from her job she just one Virginia Election Julie Brisk men will now be On the Loudon County Board of supervisors. So congrats Julie Hell Hell yes. I love that so hard to see people think that protesters are just like hooligans. But no we're county board of Supervisors Doing Shit Talk. Yes let's so awesome trump and what a great way to use that viral fame for a minute to run To make a difference to serve the people oh I think that that's so outstanding. Yeah Yeah if you're in a position where you have the ability to run for office fucking like do yeah yes as long as you haven't been a comedian for ten years it's all of our records. Think I think we're best served podcasting. Yeah I was way too radical in college to ever hold a governmental session. I worked for the government to radical. So let's get social all all right right now. There's a couple of cool things trending Hashtag Macho Moscow Mitch's next. He's up for reelection in two thousand twenty in Kentucky and we just proved in Kentucky. The Democrats crafts can win and state. Wide Races Also thanks to highly Figueroa. The founder of blue wave crowd source who pointed out that McConnell's fundraising pales in comparison to his dumb challenger. Amy McGrath in in quarter three alone. She received two hundred ninety nine thousand contributions with the average contribution being thirty six dollars and she got in. These are all Kentucky donors. These are not side donors and she got donations from all one hundred twenty counties adding up to eleven million dollars Turtle Dick Mitch raised nine million all year talk. Well wow it just really writing on that incumbency incumbency Probably outside outside donations got an eighteen percent approval rating Dan thirty seven percent. Only thirty seven percent say they would vote for him that surprising. I mean not because like he doesn't deserve it obviously okay but just because I would have thought that the only way he could say empower this longest because people like him. Yeah no it was probably the Gerrymandering Shit. Yeah that's very true. So he's exceedingly vulnerable and not just in his election but in the impeachment situation. Holly tells us to watch him closely and see if he waivers and and also support. Amy Mcgrath if you get a chance so you can check out Hashtag Mosh Moscow Mitch's next and keep it trending also trending Hashtag extortionist trump also trending right now and I'm trying to get hashtag trump bribed Ukraine going. I think bribe is going to be the word that we should use and I know that he extorted but he also also did bribe and bribery is right there in the constitution. Bribery high crimes and misdemeanors. Who still bribing? If it's like here's this that we normally give you. I'm going to withhold this well well. He bribed them with the White House. Meeting yeah he bribed them with the White House meeting in exchange for an investigation and saying it out loud. Yeah and you can bribe with the reward of releasing I mean if you think about the reward of releasing the military aid right but I think that's more extortion You know you I have to say this or you're not going to get this. Yeah either way Extortions not in the constitution. And I think it would confuse trump supporters. It's just a it's a big word. It's just go with bribe but I mean us both how you know. I'M NOT GONNA die on that Hill. Yeah I guess they're just more nuanced kind of in concept and quid pro quo. Maybe we'll quid. Pro Quo. I think is the collusion of the Ukraine scandal. That's they're trying to use that word I think they're trying to put it out there and then to say there's no such. There's no longer. Yeah Yeah Even though you don't need to have yeah that's a good insight. I think you're probably right on that. Because that's all trump ever says no quid pro quo. No quid pro quo as his language anguish But even if there was it's not illegal right same shit. Yeah all it means except way more out in your face evidence than the last time around. Yeah that's why. Oh I think bribery and extortion are better words to us and like I said it's right there in the constitution. That's what you impeach. Someone for. This is why the articles of impeachment were created for this very exact purpose. Yeah exactly this. Bribing foreign government yelled to help interfere in the election to gain power access to our government. so oh that's our show. Yeah cool so thanks for the many beans many so if you guys could hear that you mean this mini beans just came out. Rod had Any thoughts Can I shout out. I've created twitter list for the Roger Stone trial that has been helpful over the last day. Yeah I do because yesterday. There wasn't very much other than stone. Chance himself continuously everybody. Okay so Zoey Tillman. Yes so amazing. Hers are my favorite. I think mine too Natasha Bertrand is great. Also and Tasha Bertram yourself recommended that you follow. Oh Darren Samuelsson great. He's a politico guy. Yes and then also this guy kind of stopped doing it early on in the day but when he was doing it it was good The other person is name. Help name. Josh Gerstein Gerstein. Yeah and and then Obviously Shimon Yeah Shimon Peres and then I wonder if Adam class vaults following it at courtroom news..

"Molar she wrote I know that one for sure and then you'll be Immuno your patron for one patron for both so crazy headlines today Parnis an freeman to Giuliani's associates were arrested and indicted indictment was unsealed for campaign finance violations involving funneling foreign money to trump's SUPERPAC and other campaigns as well including former Republican Congressman Pete sessions Kevin McCarthy Eh Rhonda Santa's and by the way to Santa's and McCarthy have already pledged to give the money back To be clear Pete sessions is not named in the indictment he's called Congressman one but as soon as the indictment dropped in the arrests were made many people were skeptical of the Department of Justice role in this as the indictments come from the southern district of New York which is headed by a trump appointee. Berman falling under the purview of Bill Bar and that perhaps this in the that the arrest were a way to stop these two from testifying in the impeachment inquiry which they were scheduled to do in the coming days however we did learn these two associates were apprehended Dulles and we're leaving the country with one way tickets to Frankfurt I think they were going to Vienna According to Reuters and CNN so they weren't planning on testifying anyhow we'd already gotten a letter from doubt in Comic Sans Saying that room and in parts were not gonNa Parviz we're not going to testify he's spelled the client's name was wrong it was a really fun letter to read if you haven't seen it not to mention these are garbage witnesses they could be pressured to flip on Giuliani and perhaps even trump so and it may or may not be of note but Vienna is where for Tosh was arrested and he was post to be extradited to the US for bribery charges but I was put on hold in July I'm wondering why they were leaving the country if it was just to avoid testifying or maybe they were tipped off by someone in the Department of Justice anybody with knowledge these two were facing charges we we learn later in the day that from the Wall Street Journal these two men lunched with Julia Johny hours before their arrests and we know Giuliani has ties inside the New York FBI field office. We know that from the Hillary Email Weiner laptop leak threats that came out that caused homey to write that letter to Congress and reopen the investigation probably against his better judgment in any way they were actually don't want to make sure you know there are actually four people indicted one is still at large so what happened was partisan fruman set up a company to hide the origin of donations of three hundred twenty five thousand dollars to a trump packing over twenty thousand dollars to congressman one we know that to be Pete sessions the trump pack also donated almost three million dollars to that same congressman one who is believed or so sorry that I already said it was believed to be Pete sessions but partisan firm and then lobbied that same congressman they had several meetings with him to advocate for the removal of then US ambassador to Ukraine Ivanovich on behalf of a Ukrainian official so they're breaking feral laws all over the place to but they were only brought up on charges of campaign finance violation Berman added that's the US attorney in Southern District of New York a trump appointee he added in a press conference that this investigation is continuing it's important to note that many working on a case or from the public corruptions unit which looks into political figures elected political neither or appointed political figures neither of which these two men are but former Republican Pete sessions is and you know so that could be sort of why the public corruptions unit is on this the fourth the third and fourth guys are named Kukushkin and Correo and Rio still at large Kukushkin was arrested in San Francisco and now also these two men have been subpoenaed for documents by the House of Representatives so as or any other indictments in the Ukraine investigation because bar himself is named in the whistleblower complaint several times former ambassador to Ukraine Ivanovich a current State Department boy is set to testify Friday so we're waiting to see if they allow her to appear it was like after midnight that they blocked Sunlen from appearing WHO's State Department employees called by two Russians pretending to be the the Turkish Minister of defence and in the call Graham who who is seemingly publicly against trump's withdraw from Syria labeled occurred burdwan very much and then commerce department not Noah leadership that's the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration it was the Commerce Department and not Noah leadership that drafted the controversial portions trump's personal and corporate returns and collected at least some of them in twenty eleven when they took up trump as a client and the Atlantic reports. "Take all right so the first big story that broke Thursday is that the Justice Department has apparently only rejected Andrew McCabe bid to avoid charges and we thought that he was going to be indicted but there's today today I mean we talked about this August twenty six a couple of weeks ago when when his lawyers met with Jeff Rosen the the deputy attorney general and Jessie Liu and we thought oh he's going to be indicted so anyway there was news came come came out of the DOJ today which is interesting so kind of take it with a grain of salt but there's something else going on here even though the Washington Post this is reported that Jessie Liu and the line prosecutors in DC recommended charges against McCabe even though two of line prosecutors quit in the middle of the investigation because because I didn't like the way it was being handled Spencer Sue from Washington Post tweeted today that the federal grand jury investigating McCabe was suddenly called back to after months like they had like a months-long height and they were just suddenly called back so maybe they balked uninviting. McCabe and the message seems to be unclear. It's weird so we haven't heard anything since this morning but we will keep keep you posted on it. and I've got a lot of good inside sources on this and you know I'll I'll. I'll give you the latest that I can and right now. I don't have any off the record stuff that I know that I can't tell you. This is just where we're at. I did have some but then that reporting came to light and then also today Thursday the House Judiciary voted and passed their committee impeachment rules that we've been talking about who bring it back yeah and so now everyone I know you're mad out about how long impeachment is taken. I mad about how long impeachment has taken but it's time to stop being mad about it. Because now it's happening and we can't go back in time so we have to go forward so yes. It sucks that we didn't start this earlier. I think personally think that right after Muller testified right after mull report came out we should have passed ask these rules and started impeachment hearings they did in my mind started impeachment inquiry after Muller Testified Nadler then immediately petitioned the court for the grand jury materials invoking article impeachment powers but you know people are like no but this using the exact watergate map of impeachment hearing rules and invoking like bringing in the president and how he can respond to this. It's clear to me now that we are now impeachment and the House Judiciary dumbs actually tweeted weeded out whether you call it an impeachment inquiry whether you call it an impeachment investigation legally they mean the same thing and that's what we're doing. That's so exciting so it is. It's very exciting even though I know that I need to mitigate hopes because it's probably not gonna go. I wanted to go right now yeah but at least they're at least they'll have the confidence. Representatives are doing what their job is. Yes yes and keep in mind. Impeachment was never going to get rid of them. So it's not like had. They started impeachment earlier. We could have gotten rid of trump's sooner. That's not how it works. The Senate is probably not going to vote. They probably aren't even going to take up the trial McConnell at Lou likely block it as he said he said that he would all this means that they're doing their constitutional duty and that we're going to have public hearings and we're going to be able to get the evidence we need and it's going to be going into the twenty twenty election cycle. We are always going to have to vote them out. We we had to were still have to no matter matter what and we couldn't have impeached him before January of this year anyway because the House Judiciary Committee was run by Republicans previous to January two thousand nineteen so I think it's going I again. I wish they would have opened an official impeachment inquiry after Muller testify but they didn't and now here we are so we're going to go forward with it and that's that's that's. That's how it's going. Natasha Bertrand who's been reporting on the US Air Force investigation into expenditures at trump properties specifically the turnberry resort and Glasgow. Oh she you know she broke the story that they stayed there. Once and everyone was like Holy Shit and then she came out and said Oh nope they've stayed there a couple of times that we know about now and then the air force we're going to look into it will the air force has already done with their preliminary investigation into this and they're preliminarily the Air Force has lodged crews at trump's turnberry resort forty times since two thousand fifteen to him now figure this far higher than any previously known and congressional. Democrats are also trying to investigate this but guess what the PR-. The Pentagon hasn't provided any information every investigation the dumpster doing is they're being stonewalled on and this is just where we're at home mm-hmm. I saw Scott Stedman comment on twitter thread that had the story in its saying. Can we give the number from January two thousand seventeen but it's like even twenty fifteen if if he even thinks at all that he has a remote chance of getting elected then he's GonNa Start working that plan out yeah and here's the thing if you're the air force it's two thousand fifteen and Barack Obama's president you can stay at the turnberry resort if it's within the the the per diem lodging per diem for the military and and then once trump becomes president. You don't stay there anymore. Because then you're violating the emoluments clause because you're personally enriching the president because he never divested himself from the trump organization which runs the you know the trump hotels but as thirty eight times in two thousand fifteen before trump took over obviously that is not so you know that's it's what you're supposed to do. You know people do under Obama. Obama doesn't own turnberry so I don't want to hear your weak ass argument about he did it in two thousand fifteen it trump and then you know they were saying in the article that Oh you know they were charging him one hundred and thirty dollars a night to stay at turnberry which is within the government. That's the government rate but it doesn't matter you can't give of a dime to a president. You can't enrich a president with using the military's money it's it's against friggin constitution and even if if it did if it didn't qualify as an emolument which I think that it clearly does but even if it doesn't it is a bad look. It looks really bad in the Air Force has conceded that they've said we're I'm looking into it whether this is illegal or whether it violates any rules or policies of the air force they haven't even talked about emoluments and it might not be emoluments because of monuments mostly is for foreign governments and this is the US military but you know just to to enrich yourself off the government off of the job of president. There's there's a that ah that's a bad look and it's impeachable offence. It is so I shouldn't I should keep I should stop bringing the emoluments clause when it comes to this because it's not a foreign it's not like when when Saudi Arabia came in and bought the entire floor of the trump. DC We have enough of monuments problems. Space should be considered foreign. It's weird that you get to claim airspace. Oh Oh Yeah Air Force Air Forces and and they work in outerspace totally foreign there you go that they are in American reinstitution so I guess we can't fall under emoluments but it's certainly bad look and again it. These these ethical rules norms that we've been following forever that just don't don't have any teeth. There's there's a problem with that. If there wasn't a problem with that Congress wouldn't be investigating it and they can't even get the stuff that they need that they need. Also we learned Thursday that Epstein Stein's shady secret charity called gratitude America Gross operated through an account at Deutsche Bank. Just like we guest beans come true. Didn't we say that like a couple of weeks ago. We're like buddy runs everything out of Deutsche Bank yeah gratitude America Gratitude America gratitude for what ruining my whole conception of my adolescent life exactly so awful gratitude for the plane loads of underage girl yeah God God so that's and I wanNA tell you we're we're flying through. These stories real quick. We're GONNA go over the like majorly in the weekends show and we're going to talk about talk about these more in depth in another show. We're just kinda because we're on the road and because the debates are on right now and there's a lot going on Amandas over here she waiting to eat your food and I but I didn't wanNA. I didn't leave with nothing so we are flying through this. I do politics for that but it'll be okay. Now we have we do have a little schadenfreude before you know it Shadan Friday as no. You're not know what Sean Fraud Is. Please tell me because I'm dying to know jamming. Tampa Shameful Gye okay member remember the black man that president trump referred to as my African American rally. Yes I do well that man's name is Gregory cheadle and after two years of frustration Gratien with trump's racist bullshit cheadle has told PBS Newshour. He's leaving the Republican Party and he's going to run for a seat as an independent in twenty twenty. Oh my God that is bad ass. Wow Okay so really the way out of this blatant. Racism is more blatant racism so people turn and run for the seats themselves yeah. This is a great message. The only way out is through that agreement finding Nemo right yeah but then that fat guy quote unquote quote trump or whatever he's just fine with it. He's like I'm not getting off my ass to run. I'm not in that was not a fat joke. No but you know I mean trump. Trump has said so many racist things since he called him his African American that one didn't qualify but perhaps if trump became you know like on a daily basis fat shaming people or you know that then maybe that one guy yeah might change his mind and run as an independent for how stem the house anyway good job. Gregory cheadle lives in Redding California. I don't know if that's where he's running but he's running in twenty twenty as an independent and that's cool is tired of trump's bullshit bad ass. That's really cool all right time to get Social Hashtag and on the obvious Hashtag for Thursday night as we record this from our hotel room and Seattle is Hashtag dem debate and we finish watching most of it. It's still going on and and I think this is what the problem is. We have these two two and a half hour debates ten people on the stage. DNC needs to get their shit together. I tweeted out this is funny. I tweeted out. I can't wait till the millennials takeover. The physician and somebody's like you just because you millennials dude. I'm like I'm not a millennial. I is leave me out of it. I'm gen-x. You guys fight it out. You know you suck and you take it over and fix it and I am the story of your life as a xer just in between these two CBS they should call us. Gen xers because Marcia Marcia Marcia were the middle children of of society and that's fine. We we like it. y'All hash it out but it's the this stuff this debate shit is the the format the Times James the link to the number of people on stage. It's bullshit and if we have more than ten people qualified for the Fourth of debates. They'd better split them up into two groups because this ten people on stages is it's not fair to the to the candidates. They can't get anything I agree. It also kind of makes us so we keep hearing the exact same things over and over and over again because is people have they've condensed their policy into four sentence structure so and so there's only so many times someone's going to hear that and actually get anything from it whereas if they have more time to talk they can go into to the nuances of it here. It's just like okay. You said these exact same things in the first debate. We heard you talking yeah yeah. You're totally right. I think so far art and we've missed the end of it here because we've been talking to you guys but I think the clear winners to Mir Buddha judge Worn Harris they're my favorites. Castro was fucking feisty after Biden. It was almost like the rest of the candidates paid him to go after Biden like do we'll give you a hundred bucks and speaking of paying. Yang up front in his opening statement. Yang Andrea offered ten people a thousand dollars a month for a year and that was a dope do this this hits so many things first of all you're. GonNa get a lot of news out of that. He's given money away second of all he's going to get to test his theory on universal basic income which is a huge thing that a lot of people pull a lot of especially young progressive talk about. Ub and I just thought that was and it was funny because Buddha judge had to follow him and he's like that's one way to do it. In America you know he just goes on with US opening. Yeah that is so smart. Though because what policy do they have have. Does anybody else have that..

"More reasonable yeah but who knows maybe i mean i'm sure i think i think he admitted to committing acts of violence against people are very harassing people and that's obviously bull and punishable behaviour and he was punished for it and now he's seeking redemption in life essentially. It's hard to knock that a pin specifically unlike the damage so yeah. It's always worth looking into anything people are at least i think <hes> they should be given be heard at least a difference between putting them upon a pedestal and like heralding their you know change much and then just not shutting them. They're hosting huge yeah and that was kind of my point. It just don't sit in their mouth. You know like that's all and i'm not saying adopt a nazi and raymond your house. Not another funny app adopted nazi. If if you're going to see like significantly open your heart maybe pick some other candidates. I exactly there's tons of refugees yeah. I totally appreciate where you're coming from h. E. i stand by it's very gray but i generally standby pickiness in there and maybe that's just what we have to do. Sometimes is to just kind of wade through some itchiness to to try our best to because the my whole my whole goal here is to get trump out of office and because of all the oppressive and terrible things that he doesn't says to disenfranchise people of all whether it's race religion gender identity creed <hes> sexual orientation color of your skin gender whatever it is it's it's bad and i want him out of office and if there's a guy who voted for trump who's gonna vote blue now. I'm not going to be addicted to him and but i understand if you don't have the ability because because of the place yeah that's understandable then just ignore it. You don't have to do anything right right. Yeah that's true. I'm glad you brought up the sort of privilege per at the end. I have never been a target of that so i'm speaking from different. He i make waves. I realize that it's it's not as hard for me. As it may be for someone else for sherry i can t someone flying compelled to not be neutral but in most cases that whatever is the most peacefully. I say this does do that. You <music> but like trump is a rapist and people who voted for him. Were supporting a rapists. They knew about the pussy grabbing thing. I must survivor of rape so i do have that point of view but i'm still like look. If you don't want to vote for trump now he should stand so much shit so polarizing his whole like existence any loves it too of course right. Yeah i mean the dude was was consistent for sure. She was not seventeen when she came into his house though it the way when they met when she was seventeen yeah either way it's still gross yeah. <hes> that doesn't say the age of the other girl yeah right not all beings that country make me feel good. "Not a trump supporter google should be sued. My victory was even bigger than i thought he's having sadik energy about his victories. Yes google worked worked against him. Yeah basically what he's saying is that there was this study yeah and it was conducted by dr robert epstein and it cleans the time to handle any claims that because people like he had like twenty one undecided voters and a couple democrats and republicans less than a hundred people google campaign issues i guess and more more often than not they got pro hillary responses than pro-trump responses and his conclusion was that will in that case two point six million to sixteen million votes were changed changed based on my study then so then what about all the people that saw russia's propaganda. I guess that he didn't look into that. They also can test vote changed question and so trump tweeted this out and clinton hillary clinton clapback pretty hard. She said quote the debunks study. You're referring to was based on twenty-one undecided voters for context. That's about half for context. That's about half of the number of people associated with your campaign who have been indicted now. Here's the kicker dr. Robert epstein rang a bell. I looked up. I looked up his congressional testimony. <hes> anyone who in san diego who took psych one oh one at mesa college in the late nineties probably probably had this guy as a professor because i did. That's funny wow one professor that's intense yeah and he was weird. He had me come over to his house. One day tequila. I was working on a project with him. Coding pigeon tapes for b f skinner shit or something. I have no clue what all of those words and bs c._b._s. Gunner was a behavioral psychologist kind of like a pavlovian guy so pigeons would be in a box and they were hit a button and they'd get a treat and i had to sit there and watch the videos of these pigeons that skinner took and code. It's called coding pigeon taylor at thirty seconds. Pigeon stands thirty five seconds pigeons service marine yeah yeah and so career was house and i met his kid who he had. He had his kid living in the garage. <hes> as as the kid like fourteen okay another kind of cool little space for fourteen year old it was punishment though told us it was an experiment oh my god that he was doing with behavioral cognitive the behavioral techniques because he caught his son with pot wow well. That's that's a turn that is yes uh-huh left. Turn that is a loophole around research ethics. Nowadays home breed your own overhead their you don't anyone's approval or refunding. You're gonna tell me parents and he did say in his congressional <hes> testimony he's like i'm the proud father of five children which means like five experiments subjects objects basically tommy lives in a cage yeah. The grass kids were born. It's like guinea pig. We're like sitting there and we're doing whatever project we're doing and all of the dog walks in delivery room sits down this tiny carpet with a with a square cordoned off but made a tape and just starts barking clearly train what's going on. He's like yeah well. It's dinnertime. He's committed that say everything in his house. Just like an orchestra conditioning they wrote this book called self help without the hype and he made us all by for one class. One of his kids must be the control group to raise gotta roll algae other siblings right the sit around at night up in their room like who got the placebo the this time really weird fucking admires the mother yeah question. I don't ever remember seeing her father at which frightens me even more yeah yeah <hes> probably in another container. Get me out of here. Inch petri dishes like six micrograms dollars tall micrograms. That's a weight whatever millimeters tall shrunk my wife <music> lasers every corner you turn in his house so i can have more experiments subject <music> anybody looking to write a script for a movie. You got one there you go and last minute breaking news remember yesterday when we talked about the two amicus briefs filed by the department of justice that supported trump in his appeal to stop bazaars capital one and.

"I think about the worst hit and i'm like that's. The only thing that i think has not aged well. The whole idea is great in still stands but yeah that word is just tricky. It really is but you did the best you could with it. Just like the n word skinhead you think racist totally and that's just i'm history yep hundred percent. That's just how it goes down yeah. The antifa is the only group they don't have skinhead in their name probably for the best but it is a close enough. I think the example of what today's kind of sharps would be idea because what ideally they'd go and protect from nazis where they know white power in nazi and white supremacist and white white nationalist are gonna be they go and protect from them. They don't go to attack them. There's been one death by anti faw nice so anti anti-fascists and guys. It's okay to hate nazis. Yes i encourage hatred. I don't normally encourage but i would say just like really really really be against it as strongly as he sure yeah. If you know need to like don't be neutral. I guess is what i'm saying like. Find a way to to pick a side on that one and hopefully you'll you'll pick the anti nazi sides and easy side to choose. At least i would hope so because they feel very comfortable aka nazi but i'm not gonna stop them. The what was the name of that group of people that it was like decades ago but they bombed they were like antifa people and they they bombed something something like yeah.
