"And then awful. All in the same game and they've done it every single game this year. They look like a great team than they look like crap. What the heck do you make of the Minnesota Vikings? Yeah, really hard to evaluate kind of like what you're saying, Rex, they went out, they try to really revamp their defense, sign Patrick Peterson. Really try to off season make a lot of changes to sort of balance that team out and I think when you look at them defensively, they're just been really inconsistent. Including Patrick Peterson, by the way, Harrison Smith to be is still like their best defensive player, Anthony bar when he's healthy, but they lost ever seen Griffin danelle hunter's been out for the year. So they've struggled rushing the pastor. Now, Kirk Cousins to his credit, he was able to stay in toe to toe with Green Bay a couple weeks ago and beat Aaron Rodgers, but I agree just because they're so inconsistent on that side of the ball. Let's Dalvin cook's a 100%. I just don't see Minnesota going very far this year. I got you, I agree. Well, Mike, I can't thank you enough for joining us today. And, you know, it's been great catching up on some old times. Hopefully we can do this again sometime, but thank you so much. All right, Mike, I appreciate guys. I'm Rex Ryan. He's my Tana bomb. "That stepped his game up and that's cliff Kingsbury. And no coaches changed more than he has. Remember, he came in with that stupid red gun offense or whatever the hell they want to call it. And they try to get as many staff as they can with no regard for their defense. No regard for team play. And no running game and all that he has flipped that completely. Now he's a complete coach. He knows how to win, you know, and he does it with what playing great defense and being physical and running the ball. You mentioned it. They're the tougher team than the rams. They're way more physical than Iran's. And that, to me, is amazing. And, you know, you talk about two guys that, you know, Vance Joseph has done an amazing job with that cardinal defense. I love watching because they're multiple. They do different things. They take advantage of their players and give them opportunities and where they can make place, taking advantage of their athleticism. One team that doesn't do that is the rams. And I don't get it. If you have Aaron Donald, jaylen Ramsey, you know, Leonard Floyd, all those type of guys. In von Miller, by the way, you have four of the best defensive players in the NFL. It's time you act like it and show up and they better show up in this game. Yeah, I think that's really well said. And again, when you look at someone like cliff Kingsbury, I think he's learned from his experiences. And it all starts with that defense. And we don't give that defense enough credit. I work with Vance in Miami. What you said is really well said, I think you'll get another chance deservedly so to be a head coach. And this is to me like the rams last stand. If they lose this game, I think the division will certainly be out of reach..

"To get in somehow? Yeah, they were missing cam Jordan today. And I know you've been defending Robert soli lately. Whatever sort of magical dust he sprinkled on you when you guys spoke, but Rex do you realize the last two weeks of backup quarterback went into MetLife stadium? First it was garter minchu, and then it was Taysom Hill and beat the jets. I'm concerned about the jets Rex because they're not getting better. And I don't care if they win two games, three games, 9 games this year. They're not gonna win the Super Bowl. I don't see the jets getting better, and this is a consecutive home loss to a team that had their backup quarterback. So I know we're not talking about the jets right now, but I have massive concerns about that. As it relates to the saints to me, what do they do well? They're really good down the middle of their defense, cam Jordan's a great player. Demario Davis is a great leader, someone that's really anchored to defense. They got Marshawn Lattimore. They have playmakers at all three levels. I love Jameis Winston. I was really disappointed when he got hurt. Now that Alba Camara is back, I think they're going to feel a little bit Rex to me. What we had talked about earlier with Denver, which is this same team, is really well coached. They're not going to beat themselves. And when it's all said and done, they could fall into that 6 7 seat. Yeah, no, I agree with you. I just worried the quarterback with that, it's just he's struggling with that broken finger and thanks. Obviously, he's struggling, Taysom Hill. I think it was right that he went to Taysom Hill because he gives them that spark. He gives them that Josh Allen running Bill. He can't throw like Josh Allen, but he can run like him. So I love that kind of editor back at that position. And those type of hidden yards we used to do it with Brad Smith and you can do the same kind of running game with them. And you know what, he looks like a tough kid that he might have to carry at 15 times against, especially in the playoffs, maybe more not. So we'll see about that. You mentioned that Jess man, look, the jets are horrendous on historically bad on defense right now. So they got to make major changes in the off season. Obviously, personnel is one of them. And we'll see about the coaching staff too as they move forward. Yeah, I mean, if you do somebody I can help them on defense, I wonder who that could be. They'd have to give me a lot of coin to come out there, but you know what? Never say never, but when you're looking at like the falcons and Carolina. All right, here like these two teams, who cares about them? Because one of them is gonna be right in the playoff mix. And so the falcons, they get the win over Carolina, you know, and what I call a pillow fight. Right now, I've got, you know, here's the thing..

"Another guy we don't talk about is Harold Landry, a former high pick out of Boston college. He's been kind of the, you know, they used him similarly to the way Dallas used as Micah Parsons. They'll bring them off the ball as a blitzing linebacker. They'll bring him from the outside and he's generated some heat. And you mentioned Jeffrey Simmons, the former first round pick. Remember now, they took people wonder, why would you take Jeffrey Simmons? He's coming off a major injury. Well, you know what? They look pretty darn smart now. Don't think because the only miss half the season. But if you had to do the draft over again, he would have been a top 5 pick in my opinion. Totally agree with that. And he's a real difference maker. And when you get interior pass rush like that, and then you have somebody like Landry on the outside, that's ideal as you know wreck. So I really like Tennessee. The other team that I know you like as well, but like the Chargers, if the Chargers could just throw the ball down the field more consistently today, we finally saw your guy Jalen guyton and Justin Herbert like you like to say he's a full field quarterback. He's big. He's strong he's fast, he could beat anybody in a one game season Rex. No, there's no question about it. And to me, this is the thing about the Chargers that I love. Like, this is John Elway. And anybody that's saw John Elway play in watching Justin Herbert. It's the same guy. So athletic has a bazooka for an arm. And the only thing that can keep him back, I agree with you Mike is the mentality of that offensive coordinator. We've seen the last two weeks. So the ability to let him throw deep. And when they do that, forget it. Mike Williams is as good at 50 50 ball as there is in the league. Him and Mike Evans probably. And then jaylen guy, and they finally use a speed guy, let him do what he does, which is go deep. And then you got Keenan Allen as good as it gets as, you know, as that possession type receiver of phenomenal player. So, yes, I totally agree and accurate in the backfield. Their offense can compete. The big thing is, when it gets dirty, can the charger stop the run. That's going to be the question. And to me, come play off time, you better be able to stop the run. So that to me is the only question with them. The other question I have that people are going to look at, where's the Buffalo Bills in this conversation? Well, to me, the bills, they're big thing is the same thing. Can they stop the run? And a team that's scary to me by I don't know if you agree with this is a team that I don't even think in it right now if the playoffs started today, or maybe they just have the 17, that's the Indianapolis Colts. That's the team that is legit scary because they force turnovers on defense and man can they run the football. So to me, that's a scary team if they get in. Well, I'm a little disappointed, 'cause obviously you've been spending a little bit too much time with Dan orlowski, who somehow is related to Carson Wentz. So I think he's obviously skewed your because you used to be able to evaluate quarterbacks when we were together..

"Not great but good with Chris Jones, Frank Clark up front. They sign Melvin Ingram, those two linebackers could run and hit. If that defense continues to improve Rex, they'll be hard to be offensively this was probably their best day and look to me like the Raiders last stand was on Thanksgiving when they wound up beating Dallas. And with everything they dealt with, it could be over for the Raiders this year. Yeah, you know, it's interesting because when they came back, everybody's talking about, you know, and the GM Mike mayock went all in on the special team coach being always the best leader. He's the best guy. So he doubled down on he goes, I put all his chips in on the table here. And I'm like, this is the bottom of the roster guy. Most special team coaches, that's what they deal with. The bottom of the roster. So to me, I was interesting. How's he going to handle the top end guys? How's he going to handle Derek Carr? And what we've seen right now, they came out of the gate. They won their first two under that, you know, I can't even say his name. You can do it better than me with the guy the interim head coach, but they stink ever since that time. They look like they're terrible. And they have way too many players on their team to play this poorly. So I think you're right. I don't see this team going anywhere. And they're going to be making wholesale changes in my opinion in the off season. I totally I see it exactly the same way Rex. Hey, who's the biggest threat to the Patriots? Because right now, the Patriots are the number one seat. Do you think it's Kansas City Mike? Well, I think it really just depends. The X Factor to be Rex is the health of Derek Henry because if Derek Henry comes back, it's probably Tennessee for me. You know, they lost Caleb Farley, their first round pick a corner, but they're playing better on defense and Ryan Tannehill, so I'm a big fan of and outside of Baltimore, you can make an argument like losing AJ Brown losing Julio Jones losing Derrick Henry. This has been a team at their first round pick. This has been a team that's been devastated by injuries, but they have to be a little bit of an underrated superstar in Jeffrey Simmons, a defensive tackle. And if their Henry's healthy wrecks, I think Tennessee could be to anybody in one game. Yeah, and here's the scary thing. He'll be fresh. He will play for half the season. So, like, that is a scary in its own right. You're going to get a fresh Derrick Henry come playoff time. If that happens, I don't disagree with you. Because the Tennessee Titans were the number one team in the AFC in my opinion. They had beat everybody. They beat the bills. They beat the chiefs. They beat the Patriots. They need everybody. And all of a sudden now, Henry goes out, well, I thought that nobody was more important to their football team than Derek Henry. And it kind of improved that way. Because Ryan Tannehill's play hasn't been as effective, obviously, because the play action's not anywhere close to being as effective as it was. And then you're right. They lose AJ Brown, Julio Jones. We expected him to miss a bunch of time. He's finally coming back. We'll see..

"And the next year, not one of those guys made an NFL roster. The remaining corners we had. So you're right, if you are an attacking defense, you don't have those covered corners man. It makes your job miserable. And you have to adjust as a coach. And, you know, we certainly did. I know I got fired. I think we were only 5th and the league at defense that year. So I certainly get why they would have fired me. But it's like, it literally is tough, man. And, you know, last year, like Don martinel, how else should he? He could show up he can drink up copy, do whatever he wanted 'cause they can match up with anybody in the league. That's not the case anymore. In particular, now going against Cincinnati with those receivers with Higgins with Chase, Tyler Boyd, the tight ends, decent, and now mixing in the back of man, they got the weapon. So I don't like that matchup at all. And the matchup that we saw today was against the Cleveland Browns and Mike, what were you thinking before the season started about Cleveland and has your opinion changed about them recently? Nope, I said it in the off season. There's a great show that you should watch on ESPN on 8 a.m. it's called get up and you could really get educated and I'm the only one everybody else in America is gonna pay Baker Mayfield and there's things to like about baker, but we know that this is the varsity level racks. You know what as well as anybody. And Baker Mayfield by NFL standards is short and slow. He's going to get hurt. It's just physics, it's math. You can not pay him. You're much better off having someone like case Keenum or colt McCoy at a much more reasonable number. I was the one guy that I felt like the browns were going to be better, but I was, oh, I never thought they were had a high ceiling because Kevin Stefanski was always going to have to scheme passing lane for him. He does a great job with the boots, the rollouts, and he's a very accurate passer. He's very tough, but he's going to keep getting hurt Rex because he can't outrun people..

"If you're going to sign them to the extent you can Rex, you certainly want to protect yourself if you can. Yeah, no, absolutely. Mike, great point. You know, my alliance man, they got their first victory last week, but they were zapped. I mean, they couldn't even practice all week. They had over 20 I think 26 players out with flu symptoms. And they had COVID players and 6 more players placed on IR. I mean, it was the dismal performance, but the Broncos now are 7 and 6. And Vic banjos got this defense playing well, and they're able to run the football. They might be able to make some noise too, do you think? Yeah, and Rick, you know what's interesting to me, it just shows you how important coaching is in this league. Von Miller leaves the Bronco defense. They get better. Stefan Gilmour isn't with the patriot defense. They get better. So it shows you that player development still has a meaningful role in our sport. And I think the way you talked about this a lot Rex, when you look at the Broncos, the first thing they do is they don't lose the game. They can run the ball, javonte Williams to me is a real emerging player in the league. They got Gordon back today. We know about their defense, even without von Miller. So teddy Bridgewater is a guy that's kind of been up and down a little bit limited, but because they don't beat themselves, they're going to be in it to the end. They're sort of an intriguing team to me. And Dan Campbell was somebody that we hired in Miami Rex to be our interim coach. He has been in the foxhole with you and him. You guys have a lot of similarities. Yeah, we do. And I'll say this. I remember going across the field and, you know, usually, I'm like, yeah, I could whip that guy. I could whip all those coaches in the league. I saw him I'm like, how you doing, Dan? Dude. Yeah. We're excited that daddy is.

"We're going to get to, but that was a big win for them. And again, I think buffalo has some real flaws. They're run defense. Their ability to run the ball, but give them credit for making them at least going to overtime. Yeah, no, I get it. But you know what, I got to ask, I want to take advantage of having Mike tannenbaum an amazing evaluator of talent, former, I mean, if I could choose a GM to choose Mike tannenbaum, I'm telling you he was terrific and that's why we had some of the success we had together with the jets. But I got to ask you this, Mike. Do you ever sit back in almost kick yourself said, why the hell didn't I see this in Tom Brady? And obviously, you, me, everybody else never saw this in him. And even the Patriots never saw an interview he was drafted in the 6th round, but in an amazing when you sit back and look at it, I guess the one thing you can't measure is the guy's heart, competitiveness and his brain and it's just amazing. And like you mentioned, this guy also ended up being the greatest teammate in the history of football as well. Sacrificing for his football team, taking less money in the hardest worker on a team. It's just amazing, man, this guy. Yeah. And right service's story that has been told, but it's so good that it's worthy to tell again, which is a lot of people miss it, but in 2000, I was at the jets coach barcellos was still running the operation. And the facility was physically located on the campus of university. We take Chad painting in the first round, and then the third round, the late great Bill Walsh, the Hall of Famer, drafts, Giovanni carmazzi, quarterback hofstra, and we're sitting there like, oh my God, we blew it. We're literally on their campus and we take Pennington, he takes car manage and then oh by the way, some 6 rounder from the thing about Brady's story that's probably as remark he wasn't even a full-time story out of Michigan. I know which is crazy. I mean, you really think about it. I mean, he had so many opportunities just you know what? I'm just going to play it out, get my degree and all that, but he knew. He knew he was the best. And I love what he did about when he when he met Robert Kraft, the owner of the Patriots he goes, like this will be the best decision you ever made. So that right there tells you he's got he's got the guts and all that. And he knew he was going to be a player, but you know enough a Tom Brady man to hell with him. Let's move on. The legals, Mr. T the Bengals take the field, no one they control the AFC north if they get the win. So, man, I'm expected them to come out fired up and play one hell of a football game. And here's another game that looked like it was in complete control the niners were in complete control in this game. Only did all of a sudden now Joe burrow gets hot with Jamar Chase and company. And man, they made it a hell of a game. What did you think of that game? Since you guys are really hard evaluation for me because two weeks ago, I broadcasted the game for ESPN radio..

"Welcome back organized chaos. I'm Rex Ryan, being joined by my good friend, my former GM Mike tannenbaum. He's filling in for Bart Scott. Okay, I'll admit it. We couldn't get anybody else so I called up mister D and he's back, but Mike, thank you so much for joining us, my friend. You know, Rex, I like to think that I was a little bit higher up in the pecking order. I know when we were looking for a head coach back in O 9, it was Rex riding everybody else, but I get the sense that, you know, there's no reciprocity here. I feel like you went alphabetical order in ESPN and went flying through the alphabet and fortunately, it got to me at the T's, but it's great to be with you. No kids shoot. It's been such a long time. You know, if they would have kept that marriage together, me and Mr. T together, we'd still be in New York, kicking the crap out of people and not playing the way that the jets are playing right now. I can assure you. But either way, Mike, let's start with the 4 o'clock days because my goodness. The morning ones, they're kind of dudish, but these 4 o'clock ones, especially the bills game against Tampa Bay, man, for me, I was going to say like, hey, I was going to start the show, are the bills, frauds? Well, guess what? They come storming back in this game. What did you make of this game? You know, Rex, one of the many things you taught me was like, if you can't stop the run yet, you have nothing. And if you listen to Frank Reich, a couple weeks ago, they ran the ball 19 consecutive times on first and second down when the cold speed the bills and then obviously we know what happened last week. You really only threw three times. So I thought that Byron leftwich and Bruce Arians would have run the ball more. They didn't, and you got to give buffalo a ton of credit for coming back, but at the end they unfortunately like you and I know Tom Brady just made one more play than the Buffalo Bills. Yeah, no, that's exactly right. And you're right, Mike, I mean, shoot how many times have we seen it? You know, we've been on the other on the receiving end of that. And any time you leave time with Tom Brady and he has the ball and saying, you don't feel good about it. But here's the thing..

"It's all anyone has been talking about. Andy dalton the biz. Qb one starting. Sunday night against aaron donald and the ranch yesterday dalton addressed his mindset heading into this season with the rookie justin fields waiting in the wings. That's the worst thing you can do is look over your shoulder and so i think that's understanding that is is key about tuning out the stuff that you don't need to focus on and knowing where you need to put your time and effort and all that kind of stuff. I think that's just where i'm at and you don't worry about all the the all the stuff i wish you all could have heard that as he was talking. Bart scott was laughing aloud. "There are some quarterbacks shuffling is happening in the NFL, one of those the shot Watson. A lot of people have been talking about Watson Situation and Houston, one of those people, former NFL head coach Dick Vermeil. Here's Bart Scott on his thoughts on what he had to say. This is what I don't get. Everybody seems to have a comment on the shine, watching what he wants to do and what his wishes are. You know he's trying to say, I want to take control of my neck. My narrative. I believe that this is a dysfunctional organization that lead Bill O'Brien running into the ground, and I'm not going to stay around in my prime years. I mean, it was negative what they were doing to him his first couple of years when he was getting beat down because they couldn't protect him at the offensive line. But your dick for Miller's outraged and he has a comment on it, but I haven't heard anybody. Anybody have a comment on Matthew Stafford decided to say. Guess what I've done here in Detroit. No, but everybody wished him. Well, let him off. I wonder what's the difference? You everybody has something to do with the African American quarterback says Hey, I want to get up and I want to leave. I want to take control of my narrative. You know, you guys made promises to me. I want to leave. Everybody has a problem with everybody has a comment. I haven't heard anybody. Matthew Stafford Act to be released in his wishes were granted within two weeks to shine. Watching Ass is the same. Everybody has issue with the African American quarterback decided to say, Hey, I want to leave. I wonder what the difference is. I know what the difference is. I want to dig through mail understands his unknown bias. Another quarterback, shopping around eagles, Carson Wentz, But is there a market for him? Ultimately there are enough teams in this league looking for quarterbacks that the Eagles are going to be able to get back. I think more than some people think in return for Carson Wentz, that's just the way it is right now. There are so many teams in the league that need a quarterback that are looking to fill the.

I guess you should say in the industry we teased Ohio State moving conferences and people. Probably here. Wait, Wait. What is this? What I think is gonna happen, but it is discussion of teens moving at conferences. If, in fact there conference does not play Ryan Day, Ohio State head coach on college football live yesterday. Realistically could Ohio State moved to another conference? I mean, I think again, like I said, we need to if we need to look at every option. And that's the only option the time we need to explore it. See if that's something that we can possibly do is if it is, and that's what's best for our kids. And certainly we need to look at that. Do it. But you know, In the meantime, there's a lot of other things that are gonna come up along the way that we think we could keep getting better at this. This virus changes everyday. We're learning about it. We're learning more about testing testing is getting better every day. We've created a really good environment here. I think we can keep getting it better and keep talking throughout the conference and throughout the country on how to make it better and share ideas and because of things are happening so fast. I just think a little bit of time to go a long way. I will tell you. This Ohio State. Moving to a different conference for 2020 would be a breaking move breaking moves brought to you by linked in jobs. Build your winning team. Today, go to Lincoln dot com slash sports Day. Realistically, can you see an Ohio state one of these huge schools if their conference does not play joining forces in the SEC or another power conference? Yeah, I remember yesterday waken up and you start to hear all these stories about how the SEC is reaching out to these schools saying, Hey, if your league shuts down, you know come be part of ours for 2020. That is a rumor that has no validity to it whatsoever. It is not accurate, but I did see yesterday. Raja Mitchell, who plays for Ohio State. Tweeted. Can we go play in the SEC, then Toe, which his wide receiver coach Brian Hartline, who was an Ohio state receiver in his own right, said I'm in dialling up to which Mitchell wrote back. Amen. Great competition every week. And so you start asking yourself the question. Why is this even legal like you even just Can you just bail offers for a year? Right? I mean, what? What is that? So I did ask a prominent power five athletic director who is not of the SEC. If this is even legal, and he said, in terms of teams from one conference jumping to another, I'm sure there would be all sorts of legal entanglements. However, these are unprecedented time, so I wouldn't rule anything out, he said. You could look at it is a string of nonconference games more than joining a different conference. But he did say You know, he's been in all kinds of behind the scenes conversations. He has not heard that discussed or mentioned even once, and he is in a conference that has been rumored to be part of these conversation. So I don't buy that. That could happen. Maybe could they scheduled independently and in a way that, like BYU, our Army, Navy or Air force, would I suppose, but don't look for an Ohio State or Nebraska or anybody else to be an SEC member. In 2020. That doesn't seem to make any sense. What else would you expect from a Miami dolphin? I mean, come on, man breaks up Crazy point, though, because you talk in and another buzzword. Entanglement means something totally differences. Will Smith and Jada, you'll have the red tape with a discussion of the entanglement is abuzz aware right now Married man can use that anymore. But you raised a great point, though, like that. You know if if teams would be willing to Teo, step out. And then what kind of trickle down effect is that had because of Ohio State leaves and it looks like they're gonna have opportunity to play football in term. What does Michigan do? And then basically what you're having is you're having the best playing the best all in one season. In what conference benefits from that and how much money is involved with, you know the TV contract then we'll incur because of the high profile games, so I think it's a slippery slope. But if it's one team makes that move, and it's accepted in the conference, grassed them their wishes to say, Hey, you can go out and play outside of conference for a year. Could open it up for a whole different environment. Really do what else in 20 to 20 gives man it really it really is unbelievable. And one like one power conference of 25 teams with the others, opting out would would be truly incredible. All right, guys, we're getting a new morning. She'll start six o'clock on Monday. "Into it. It's not a lot of class. And I told you guys who's active reckless last couple of weeks ago. He's over the last at least years is he lost his wife. Boston Herald radio we are the rundown. Johnson Chetty jets drier and Christian going that was Bart Scott former raven and jet now talk show host on WFAN saying that the patriots should lose all of their draft. Be have their owners suspended for one year because of two counts of soliciting prostitution against owner Bob Kraft, which in the state of Florida's two misdemeanors. Is a bit much embark Scott's case. Also, he makes it sound as if Robert Kraft who's behind the human sex trafficking ring is like he had made all his money doing this that I had nothing to do with corrugated boxes or real estate or whatever the money that he made to purchase the patriots and grow that franchise that he was actually making money in the human sex trafficking trade, that's the way Bart Scott painted. And this is what we saw Friday and over the weekend jet is the overreaction from people that wanted craft out of the league to other people who were like saying, no big deal here. They're two separate issues that people have to look at here. One is soliciting prostitution, but prostitutes that's two misdemeanors. Again, that's going to be handled by the court in Florida, which is probably going to be a fine and maybe community service, and he may have to go to a class that's going to be handled by that the other thing is the human sex trafficking. But again, that's a complete issue that is part of an operation that the state is looking into and then the third thing, and I think this impacts the patriots more is what the Commissioner of the NFL does in terms of punishment to Robert Kraft. Yeah, I think it's also important to note that Kraft has at this point. I categorically denied any illegal activity. I think is how he put it. So. Spokesperson. Oh, not through his lawyer yet. Okay. So what's the difference in? Well, the difference is when if the lawyer goes to court, which may happen today to be served these charges at that point. Then if he pleads not guilty, then lines up with the. Okay. But wait, we know today or a month from now with again, a fine. You're gonna have to do one hundred and twenty hours a community service, and you're going to have to attend a class once a month for the next twelve months that this can get wrapped up quickly. This is not a major case. This is not a tax fraud case, this is not anything along those lines. Now, it's murder. Or anything like that? So no one's blaming Robert Kraft for what hap- Bart Scott, Scott is essentially, there's some people are, you know, I think overall most of the coverage has been pretty unfair to craft a based off of one in this country. You are innocent until proven guilty, and he's not had his day in court. If that gets that point even if he gets exonerated, though, the league will punish him. Yeah. Because being which is I mean, that's we know the league as an ass backward system of. Rothlisberger never was charged six game suspension. This is the way Roger Goodell runs. At least. I mean, Ezekiel Elliott never even got charged with anything and they decided to suspend him for six games, whatever. So that's that's separate issue. That's the league. They'll punish him for whatever. Or they won't. There's really no predicting. That's that's the problem with the the problem. Right. There's no there's precedent set which we both on Friday talked about Jim Irsay who got six game suspension and a half a million dollar fine for driving impaired with a lot of cash and a lot of. Pills. This seems to be along the same lines. So maybe a six game suspension with a half a million dollars seems to be about right in my and he was caught cold guilty dead to rights humor say so we have to see how this one plays out. But if it's true, and he was there soliciting prostitutes, or whatever, and I think that that would make sense for the NFL to say, okay, we've already punished an owner like this. Let's do the exact same thing. But it's the NFL. So if you expect the same thing and the same sort of punishment. Being like, okay. Well, that would be the logical thing will then you're not going to get that. Because they don't make sense. Well, we'll take the NFL out of the equation for right now, I focusing mostly on the coverage that I've seen on the president's favorite network CNN. I told you right for the show is watching Cuomo who we both I in general. I think we both like a good job. But he did this whole wrap up thing about the wall and tied in craft to the human trafficking thing. I think a lot of people are saying, it know, Robert Kraft, human trafficking. That's a lot of the headlines. I see where my mind from everything, I know. And obviously, I don't know all the details at worst at very worse. He was a John at a a place that pervade women who performed sexual acts. He was not plucking these women from Asia or South America, wherever they might be from and bringing them against their will to the United States to sell their bodies. Sex. He. She wasn't the winter twice the property. Oh, no, right. If he owned the property, then you could bring them into that. It's not like absolute worst, John he walked in as a seventy seven year old guy who's a billionaire with a lot of spare time on his hand. And people saying why couldn't he go to a better place in that. I think part of it. He likes to live on the edge. You've got that much money, and you need some excitement and a day to day basis. And maybe this is his way of ood. I can't believe I went into this. You know, this kind of place or actress also on call girls, right come to his hotel room and any ended up losing his political career because of that and right being tried for that. So there's different levels of this that the problem with this is a human sex trafficking. Ring these girls are held against their will. So that's that issue. But here's the thing. If people want to bring craft into this and what he did was wrong. It's embarrassing. You know, I'm sure it's families embarrassed. And I'm sure he's embarrassed. But I want people to stop being sanctimonious about this. I'm really really upset about people who get on there. I you seem upset and seem to tell me what to think right, or what this really means. First of all we have iphones. Yes, we have iphones. These iphones are constructed in Foxconn, China, there's two hundred and fifty thousand people that work in a headquarters that is one square mile imagine putting two hundred and fifty thousand people in one square mile, and they construct these iphones twenty four hours a day seven days a week three hundred and fifty two weeks a year to the point where they have nets outside of this facility because four to six people try to kill themselves because the conditions are so bad. So if you're really all that upset about human sex trafficking. You should be also upset about that. And just take your iphone and throw it in the trash you like wearing Nike sneakers. Right. Yes. Okay. Where Nike street the sneakers constructed not states countries where people work long hours for pennies? And you know, what not to do? Whatever you do do not watch the twenty twenty two World Cup because that's taking place in Qatar and leading up to the twenty twenty two games between four and six thousand migrant workers are going to die constructing facility. So let's not watch soccer to blame Robert Kraft for this is just lunacy in my my book, it's embarrassing and he will be punished by the NFL. But this wouldn't even be a story for wasn't for Robert Kraft being the biggest name, and again, we heard from Adam Schefter on Friday that they'd be bigger names. There's no bigger names from his name's got bad information. I think he's just covering crafts. But because I think he's a patriot honk I do I think he's tied into the patriots. And what happens is with some reporters to get scoops on certain stories while back you on another one. Yeah. Maybe I don't know. I would be shocked if there was a bigger name. Involved. It's Tiger Woods in that area. But we're just guessing exactly. So I don't really care about that thing. You know, we're just focusing on the craft aspect of it. And I agree with what you're saying. People are very sanctimony is for where they tweeting things about craft from their iphones all wearing shoes that wearing Nike sneakers rainy here by kids getting ready for the twenty twenty two. So yeah, I think that's that's certainly a problem with it too. But I I look at this as akin to whether you're what your views are prostitution, regardless of what they are. You know, a lot of people think it should be legalized or at least more legalizing. It is now maybe if you do this. You don't have these types of the orchard spa by Jupiter, but I think being a customer at a place doesn't mean that you should or would know about where the product or the in this case the product is woman is coming from like if you go to supermarket and you buy an apple well who's to say that apple wasn't picked by. By some migrant worker, who's working in slavelike conditions and wherever they all the apple a. Is your responsibility as the consumer everything I mean? I could see the transgression. Different situation. And it's not a woman who may be held against your will. But at the same time, I think the onus applies to it's not on the customer just have to say, well, let me think about this. Maybe this woman's cake was taken against your will. He's just walking in assuming that they're providing a service, that's elicit but somewhat legit that the out the walking and saying, hey, I know these women are sex slaves, and I'm gonna pay money to fight human sex trafficking. The league has as well two of his players work cleats detailing that back in October Lawrence guy being one of them. I just have a really hard time believing that Kraft would go into an establishment knowing that the women were held against the rail, or in some form of slavery and still say, okay. Yeah, I'm fine with that. I think he might realize it. But I also think that he walked in and living on the edge a little bit may have been embarrassed about going to the place goes in there. From Assange, and it ends up with the happy ending. And he's not aware that those people are from another land, and they're held against their will they may think they worked there because they're putting up a I live. I want to go that route. I mean, we can go back to the Jim Irsay thing. And you had drugs. God knows what the hell. Those drugs came from how many people died because of those drugs to eventually make their way into a briefcase Jim Irsay or the people that do work to process the drugs the whole trend hold line to get it there. You could do that. With almost anything. You can you can you can continue. These are. It's it's more obvious. What's going on here? But it's still I just don't think it's on rubber Kraft to be the person who's pinned with well. This guy is responsible for the illicit sex trade in this country. I is grossly unfair to me what we heard Bart Scott and his cohorts saying take the whole draft away bad thing for Bob Kraft. This is the way you punish him. On the flipside barstools. Dave Portnoy was on with Tucker Carlson on Fox News on Friday in. Here's where he went with the discussion. They're dragging. This guy's name through like a committed some heinous act. You're the only place I've ever heard is clearly not affiliated with any sexual trafficking. Definitely didn't know that. He's our spa signed for all we know. He's an elderly gentleman. He had a back issue. He went in you got a massage and suddenly he's that line news responsible. Well, so, but but your point earlier today, I agree with you completely. Why are they hassling Bob Kraft? We we don't have enough problems in this country. I couldn't agree more. But I mean, Bob Kraft has also been at odds with some pretty powerful figures in American life like the Commissioner of the NFL. Oh, talk are you may be onto thing. They can't beat him on the field. They've had six championships in a row and this misdemeanor. Suddenly comes up in eighth month investigation. I wouldn't put it past. Roger goodell. Does that I can't beat them fair and square. So I believe they have a word for it called entrapment..

"WFAN. WFAN FM. It's utter chaos in here. Bart scott. I love the death match that we were all waiting to hear it. See? Mano Mano L, John minko. Not a big fan of. Oh, what Jacob degrom is pulling John. Just one question. Have you ever told the coach you don't wanna play any second downs? No. But they always pay me my money. Underpaid players in Saint players. We just saw one this year later on bail say you know, what? I think I'm worth more a term deal. So I rather just sit out this year. And I'd rather give my services in my Carey's to a team that's going to invest in me long-term because you're not gonna do me like DeMarco Murray who had those four hundred carries the year before in Dallas and couldn't get signed because he was all done. They took it out of here. But the difference is there he's not getting paid. Yeah. Yeah. Getting paid. But he's on he's on recoup that money because we saw happened to Earl Thomas Earl Thomas decided to play got hurt and he'll never get that money. Because now he's a thirty year old come surgery. Well, that's the risk. You take. So you have to do something smart for you a business. Why so Drake at Bagram San? Hey, I'm not gonna you know, put myself on the pitch. Limit is saying, okay, I'm gonna create some long Jody for myself. And I'm going to try to risk. Yep. No. But if you compare him the bell doesn't that that means the ground forfeiture seventeen million dozen pitch. All that'd be. That'd be the very drastic case. Yeah. But that would be the correlation. But but it, but if it was like being on the franchise tag. Just a year they lead the ground go, and I'm sure he'll get picked up. You think somebody pay the ground seventeen million dollars? Weekday grams decision to. To to leave. So the Mets would still have the right store? Well, Brazilian the right? They can say, okay. Well, if you're the Mets widely can relieve the rich it I can get my seventeen million dollars and go pitch pits to say my arms tight, and what can you say? Well, then you go on the injured list. Thank you. I still get my chain. Man. You guys just blow for blow. Round of a prizefight. Sweater bar shirt. Pitch. It's almost like. Well. They'd be a stretch on not gonna I'm not gonna go. All I'm saying is the wilpon is making money off me and my wars over ten so paying you wanna work. All right. Unfortunately, I have to leave it there being all right? All right. I'm going to call it a draw. You know, you guys fought admirably. Can't wait until the rematch in the Philippines and ten years. Macau? We can go to Macau. Get a thrill in Manila part two. All right. We. Let's head down to port St. Lucie or so pleased to be joined by the third baseman for the New York. Mets. Todd frazier. Hate dot it's Maggie and Bart. How you doing today you got? Fantastic. Well, let's just gonna start here. If I hear one more time, how nice you are. How funny you are. You know, what a great personality you light up every clubhouse. Okay. There's been plenty of stories written on that tell me the last time and that Todd Frazier like turned heel. What's the last time that you really just got frustrated flew off the handle because you're a human being you can't be sunny. In a good mood all the time. How do angered probably was driving these people? They're not the best driver saw probably I went off a little bit on the driver's here. But other than that, you're not trying to look at everything with a clear, conscience and. I'm a big believer. My dad taught me that that, you know, think down the road like you really going to be that upset with things down the road. And it's like, yeah. You know, you know, small potatoes is mostly everything. But I'm gonna aggressive driver. That's probably about it. Yeah. Well, speaking of driving. I find it hard to believe that the drivers in port St. Lucie. Could be a lot worse than the ones in New Jersey. You know, we're we saw on your Twitter feed. Todd's traffic alerts you try to give the heads up, and you try to do a nice thing. Here you try to give a heads up to the people in south jersey. Hey, route eighteen heavy build-up got a one car accident things. Open up at mile marker twenty one the first response to that. Todd was why don't you start using the whole field instead of going for home runs and hitting in the low to us. People are crazy. I try now people out trying to be nice talking about people in in a good manner. And all they talk about their nasty. Get nasty Roger don't get. So just block them. And then you know, I might have to block like ten people a day. But hey, it is what it is. Okay. So you and my co host Bart Scott have something very big in common. One former teammate. Got it. I mean that would be the only one right? Here's something funny. Right. This is what Tim tebow? Has said, right. He's like I have a lot of Todd Frazier stories, but none that I'm going to share with you today. I've got a lot of them. And you know, it's I'm gonna call Bs on this. I don't think there's one story that Tim tebow could tell that's rated more than PG. Listen to my wife says it all talk. She's like, you're not the person at home. I come to a different person in the clubhouse. And I'm a different person at home. I tried to get everybody laugh. About afraid to you know, get under some people get a little bit. And but. I messed with ten because he thinks he thinks he's is a winter and. He's such a good football player come in here and be a big leaguer like right away. So I have to break him down a little bit. And you're not the first time. I met him. I basically told him as a lesson. I need I need a Chinese. I need my lunch at eleven o'clock. And I need a Gatorade. I want you to Mexico to Gatorade up and that he didn't do it. So I this job that's about all I can tell you about that one. Did he calls the system because he's like what? He's like widely in a beaver, man. I people think it's a steak like like, that's really who. He is. He's like, Aw, shucks type of guy, man. I'm trying to get them to listen his collar a little bit. Now. He doesn't curse it all. He's. There's a lot of guys like I said like my God damn it. I don't know. I don't recall dang it. I don't know what that word today. But he is the nicest. I gotta break down every once in a while. So he was actually Bart was his date to the met gala. Now. Now you had the thumbs down. You had the sought. Shakur was going to be the rally cry this year. What are you thinking about? Or do you kind spit ball a little bit with the team exited? You just come up with a organically yourself. Is it comes up? It's one of those things where it just happened in spring training and took off it. But did you did you did you burn the Sar grant? Thanks gone. I actually my wife, you know, use it for dinner. Grinds everything. I dunno. It just comes to send out like when I was at the Yankees that just came out of nowhere. So you can't really push it. You gotta let it come from what happened in halfway during the season that happened at all. So just let come. Todd frazier. Joining us here on CNBC. Okay. I'm telling you, I need to get on the on the show where I can just be me. Like the guy who didn't get on a masked, man. Yeah. If I could do that that'd be all. Every part. People like, all Catholic. Yeah. Blended with everybody, there's all different cultures and different things people. You know, you know, you never know who's you gotta try that's round with people. I really don't think I'm that good at Robin. But he might have thought that every once in a while it's been something out. Good enough back. Oh, man. I wish I wrote that down. But I never remember. I was going to say, we we are radio station will drop a beef for you. If you want to leave it up to you know back. I'm good. And you don't even remember what a what a great line. You got off at any point in your life. A good performance. Burnett up. My favorite line is out. Doc like, I always on something. I hit the ball good all day. But everything is like, hey. And then my my next time. It'll be like I'm so good. I'm Larry Bird stayed away. I don't know why say that. But always dropped that at the end. We like it. Tom frazier. Joining us. Okay. Here's the ultimate them. You can eliminate the shift in baseball. You can eliminate it. But it means we have to cut off your pinkie toe. Eliminate the ship please, I need I need a take away my pinkie toe the peanut butter. It's underneath milder toast. So read it out there. And Todd Frazier. Join us is there ever a time. We try to make someone laugh on the base paths. They're trying to get them out of their game. And it actually backfired on you. Yeah. Is there are some times where you forget who you're talking usually guys the talk back. But then you say something funny and the guidance saying that back I'll just stand there like, man. This is awkward and then finally the. Combat and lab alone that but I can't give you like a certain instance of what I said, but there's been times where it's just like you'll bring something up about another player or somebody like that. What about like? Yeah. And like. Okay. This guy can leave but other matters and major league baseball players, and they get awkward just like the rest of us. Happy to hear that. How would you characterize Saad? The feeling of a player over thirty who would be heading into free agency right now, that's mate. How do you feel? I feel good. I feel great. I think we talked about this a lot. The game has changed. Try to bring the younger is up a little more. One of the things where you got to work even harder. You got to work even harder to gotta work. Everybody. Show them that you know, you got three or four or five more years then hopefully that happened. So for me. Got to put up a good year play the team game and all the eventual individuals take care of itself. But. Yeah. It's a different game now. So and that if it's gone in that direction, I I gotta work even harder. So you come out in support for for the Gromit saying that you know, he deserves to get paid. He had a Cy Young season best pitchers in a game. But how do you prove to the ownership that you guys can be productive post era era? Over thirty being nutrition. Be whatever the new technologies of the day. How do you guys convinced the owners, or do you believe that you know, you guys are gonna have to attack? This new CBA when it comes up. Yeah. And that's a great question because the new CBA without further the new CBA coming up. There's there's some big issues that we got going on besides what would you talk about about players over thirty a lot of free agents. Still unsigned out there. It's just crazy to thank, you know, people say, oh, you're making this amount of money. You should keep your mouth shut. But hey, isn't that what we strive to do drive to work at the a job, we love try and make as much money as possible and. You know, it's something that we definitely got a, you know, when the union comes here, we've got to figure out what we're doing. I think we've had some good talk to ready, but for God's over thirty like myself. Production production, and if you produce and they come back and say, they don't want you and data. You look yourself in America. You know, what somebody's gonna want me? Because at the end of the day. I put myself that I can do it. And I'm confident everything I do, you know Todd. We're talking about Todd Frazier. One thing that we try to get across the fans. Listen, it take away the dollars and sense that you're paying the players. It doesn't get passed on to you the fan. You know, you pay a player less. It doesn't mean. You're ticket prices are going to cost less. It doesn't mean the beer and concessions are gonna cost less than merchandise isn't gonna cost any less. You don't get that savings. But the idea that players might put restrictions on themselves to try to save themselves. Maybe for free agency and try to maintain their trade value. Do you think enough players would be willing to step out and do something like that? Yeah. I think we got a bunch of guys right now that understand that. The path where you know, things things aren't going to be good and baseball things are going happen. We need any more talked. I think I don't think guys will ever step out and not want to compete..

How Likely Is Rob Gronkowski Vs. Jalen Ramsey Matchup In Patriots-Jaguars Read more at: https://nesn.com/2018/09/how-likely-is-rob-gronkowski-vs-jalen-ramsey-matchup-in-patriots-jaguars/

"A rematch of last year's AFC championship game between the patriots and the Jaguars. But this one with a hair more fireworks last year, Jacksonville, almost upset the pets before Tom Brady lit it up this here. Jalen Ramsey spent his off season criticizing players. He deemed overrated. He mentioned grunk. Interesting. Also, interesting. Jalen Ramsey seems confident heading into this week's matchup. Listen to this. Defensive coordinator. If someone says rob gronkowski is overrated, what would you say to that person? Said, he's crazy. Might be crazy. I don't care. Call him about staffer. You're, you're, you're, you're saying, you think good good now, get it supposed to eat good. But like you say, this to me is supposed to bring fear. I, I fear, no man period is good. His face all year. They got an incredible rush. Great, linebackers, great secondary. It's going to be very, very challenging, tough environment. We'll see what made up. He doesn't care any man, Chris, Kenny Noman even though it's quite a little bit of different tune than he was singing in the off season when he talked about gronk. All right, who's got the edge in this rematch the pats offense or this Jaguars defense? Can he says the pets offense just because we know what they are, the patriots gonna score points. That's just what it is. It's going to be somewhere between twenty one and twenty eight points. I think the average twenty eight point Sogame last year you saw what they did this year opening game against Texas, so we know what the patriots are. So I think this is going to be up to the Jaguars offense to be able to match points so defensively, I know that the Jaguars they're going to try to take away rob gronkowski. You saw at AFC title game. You only had one catch before you got knocked out with that concussion. But I mean they're going to have a plan to deal with rob gronkowski. It's about the other guys in Tom Brady always finds a way because that's just what he and Bill Bill to check do. But looking at the Jacksonville Jaguars, they're gonna have to find a way to be able to move the football. You saw it in that giant's game after mid. Ways that second quarter we're Linda four net got knocked out. They struggled to move the football. They had one scoring drive where they got the ball at midfield, but other than that, they weren't able to move the ball only four first downs after that drive. So I mean, that's a struggle for this Jaguars team offensively than four nets banged up. I think TJ Yeldan is a service of running back, but he's not the difference maker that four net is for that offense. So I'm going to say that the patriots have the advantage in this matchup because I don't know that the Jags offense is going to be able to match points with Tom Brady. Yeah, pats offense definitely do have the advantage, New England. They don't listen to any of the interviews that other teams do. But what I've seen through the years, especially from any defensive back that makes any type of comment about New England if they were cheating, anything that they say that might be shot at New England in the game plan. During the game. Bill Bill check will either run at that person with big Lyman are someone like gronk or they run the double move our account. Move a trick play look Bill to take advantage and make somebody look real real bad. So I expect them Jalen is going to guard gras. I expect in some of those situations. They're going to get gronk the football, but also I would spec them to run at grunk so could blonde Jalen and that's not something you don't have to be afraid, but that's something that Jalen does not want to see. He doesn't have the. I discipline was I disciplined how they see the ball, how they see elephants is in Jalen used to being outside, and he's not used to having the action in front of him, but linebacker. See, that's why when Bart Scott was here, he was talking about if you try to travel with grunk, Bella check will do some things that take advantage of thing that you're not used to seeing so huge advantage to pats offense going against a very good Jags d, Chris, to your point about if you chirp during the week, they might have a special play for you in the game plan famously I'll just go back a decade because happened to a buddy of mine. Anthony Smith.
