On The Rekord
A highlight from Episode 122 - Sept. 17th, 2023 - B.A.N.S
"All right, all right, all right, all right. Welcoming you guys to another lovely episode of On The Record Podcast. I am DJ Intense, your host the most. And to the left of me, I have I am Walt. What's up, Walt? I'm about to say another word, my guy. If you guys heard earlier, you know, we were just doing some things off cameras. They're off the record. Things we don't, we're not going to bring on the record. And if we are, you're not going to get it. Unless you paid for it to Patreon. You know? Yeah, me too. That voice you hear right now, but there's no other than Ceddi said, what's up Ceddi? The infamous C -E -D. What's up people? How you doing people? I'm doing all right, I'm doing all right, man. You know, we took some time off. It was Labor Day weekend. Yeah. And then the final weekend, which is work weekend. Dude, we were work, work, work, work, work. Nonstop. Dude, I just figured they don't. Almost 90 hours of work. OT, OT. Man. One day was 20 hours of work. That's the state job. I can't wait till you quit that job. You and I both, brother. I need to make some money, but working like a slave ain't it, man? Nah. Bob Brock just said it. You think that you can get by with this hard work alone? Nah, you're fooling yourself. You're fooling yourself. Used to do that, but now you're doing that. It's a lie. It's a lie. It's a myth. All people is you do hard work, and you'll become a successor, that's all. Listen, reality is in this country, in America, you have to do a lot of grime. You gotta do a lot of collaboration. Depending on how you wanna do it, but most of the time, all those people who are billionaires and trillionaires are the ones who did the most foul -ish humanly possible to get what they're at right now in life. Listen, right now we're at over 180 days in the writer's strike and the actor's strike right now. And it could have ended this right now. This thing should have been handled already. $50 million for both unions. And now they're gonna get a loss of over $300 to $500 million because of this strike. And you have people like Drew Barrymore's punk ass. Well, she reneged on it though. She had to, because dude, she was getting the business with the WGA and the SGA. And it's separate, you know. Even... Bill Maher's bitch ass too, man, was... I didn't get the damn thing off the running. Was, oh, I don't need no writers, I'll be our show. Look, dude, your show sucks. The Seddie Swear Counter is in full effect. There you go, you have one. You can do like a ding sound from now on for my swears. I'm gonna keep it calm. I'm gonna keep it professional. Seddie the Sailor Man. I can't swish, come on. Listen, man, I'm just telling you, when Seddie get that spinach boy, man, we poppin' ice today. Oh, yeah. Little bird watch out. Now, but on some real issues, like dude, Bill Maher, the guy who said, I'm not a field n -word, I'm a house n -word, and who crapped on Stan Lee after he died and stuff, and says a bunch of other ridiculously retarded things, says he's gonna do a show. Stan Lee who? Marvel comic Stan Lee. Oh, Stan Lee, oh. That's what Bill Maher said. Yo, he be going extra heavy trying to relate to us blacks. You're a not house n -word. You're at the table, bro. You got the good chair. You got the good piece of chicken. He used to be down by the dam, but nowadays, man, it's horrible. He's just, you know, he's trying. What the legend Paul Mooney said, everybody wants to be black, so it's time to be black? Listen, you think Paul Mooney is trying to be black and competent? Hell no. I want to be in a gated community area. What's wrong with you? Like he says, everybody wants to be black. He listen to King Koon, so he know what that's about. Yeah, but Bill Maher is doing his show still, which I think it was crap with writers. It's going to be crap about writers. And then, you know, you're going to have to hire writers who are not non -union writers. We're going to be scabs. We're going to pretty much destroy their any chance of them getting actual work when the strike is done. If you get caught. Well, if you are what you say you are, then have no fear. Even if you're on YouTube and you want to get a chance of being in the industry, you can't do no reviews. No, no movie reviews, no TV show reviews, nothing. There's a strike. You doing that? You will be known and accounted for when you want to get your membership. And trust me, you don't want those problems. But my thing is, if there was already YouTubers like successful already doing movie reviews and being credible and stuff like that, that won't affect them. Is it already locked in like a partnership or whatever with certain movies? Then they could do it. As long as they get the permission from their respective union. OK. If they do something brand new, if we're coming out with The Exorcist coming out next week, they can't do no review for that at all. Oh, wow. Wah wah. Listen, I can't go into it because I want to become in that union because I want to be a voice actor. You want to sell out. I get it. So I can't speak on it at all. No, no, no. He's not selling out. No, he wants to. He wants to. No, he doesn't want to sell out. You want the Disney money. No, I want to buy in. He wants to buy in. Oh, yes. You want to buy in, you got to sell out, right? No, the license is fucking me, bro. I'm just saying. The license, the thing to get a SAG card, it's over $3 ,000 to get a SAG card. And you have to get that SAG card in order to get some work and residuals and all that stuff. That's just what it is. Listen, man, listen, Harvey Weinstein's in prison, bro. He can't get to you, my guy. He can't get to you, my guy. Listen, man, don't take that hotel meeting, bro. Am I Rose McGowan? Shoot it. It's either a Zoom call. I'm actually Judd. It's either a Zoom call or a posh Beverly Hills restaurant or a Permell Studios, wherever that super creep was out here making his rounds. But you don't got to worry about that no more. Filthy behavior. One of the girls was saying like, yeah, when I said no more hanky panky, you know. He felt a way. Yeah, you want that rolling letter to there, don't you? My guy, how could he feel a way? You've been imposing your will on these ladies for a long time. Speaking of entertainment, you had a concert this weekend, right? Yeah, yeah. I was, you know, I was like. This guy was really outside. I was like, I was like, I was like. What concert was this? I was like. Let me tell you. Go ahead, say it. I was like from the acting sheriff up north, back to back out here, you know. Yes, so for all the first time, longtime listeners, and you know, last time listening to how evidence goes, I had a couple of shows. This past Thursday, I went to an event that was sponsored by Spotify for up and coming artists. I saw three, three very, very talented artists. The main artist I went to see goes by Kamari. He's an artist that I discovered around COVID. He has a lot of like influences. He reminds me of like a Frank Ocean. He's really that, you know, artist type dude. And he put out this great, incredible album called A Brief Nirvana, which I advise everybody to check out. His name is Kamari, K -H -A -M -A -R -I. Highly recommend him. And I also saw these two other artists from the UK, St. Harrison and Elmin. That's my boy. And overall, it was a great experience, very, you know. It was at SOB, Sound of Brazil in New York City. Very intimate setting, great turnout, great energy.

"Drew Barrymore show today. I didn't go to sleep last night after the Philly game. So just be prepared. Usually when I get a guess, they've done like pardon my take, and they've done the Richard dyche podcast. And here we are. I got a guest after the Drew Barrymore show. This is a first for me here on the SI media podcast. I have to admit something. And I didn't expect to even go into this department. But I had never watched the show. Obviously I know who Drew Barrymore is. Everybody knows, dude, Drew Barrymore, is my family, my girls, my wife, my sister. Everybody loves this show. And I went on it, Lewis K, my publicist, booked this thing. I think because he felt guilty because I pay him and I don't get booked on anything. So he gives me the Drew Barrymore show. I went there today. I have never had more fun. I have never met a host that's more genuine. It's like frightening how real she is. And you think that all the Hollywood people are fake and it's all TV and I just, you know, my segments, the news part and whatever. It's no big deal, but she talks to the woman who is the star of The Queen's Gambit on this and the interview, the interview was awesome. So I am a huge fan. I am now a Drew Barrymore fan for life. She's fantastic. So there you go. You have a lot to live up to is what I'm saying. It's gonna be hard. I actually, I have a lot of respect for drew married Drew Barrymore because she did Howard recently and did like a dating game with like random listeners of the show and took everything scary to not go there with her. It was not the audience. But whoever would end up with her, I mean, she talks about it.

"Someone in my life approached me and said, when you're ready to lose the weight. Oh my God. And I was like, oh, okay. Thank you. And I think that this is something that I think I'm still in the process of, I am still learning how to move my body and how to eat for health. These are things that I'm still working on. And to do anything different than just going through and learning this process would be to go back to diet culture would be to go back to my old ways of thinking and that's not what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to learn to live. I'm happy with my body. I'm happy with my size. Do I need to get more in shape for strength for getting older for muscle tone for picking up boxes for walking up the stairs? Yes, I definitely do, but that's my journey right now. It's not about fitting into a pair of pants. So I have to keep on that. I have to keep learning on this journey. I can't turn around and go back to an old way of thinking, I guess. That's so key. It's understanding the why and not the why now. And I think that's the problem with diet culture and the fitness industry in general is like fitting into your wedding dress. Yes. You have a big birthday coming up summer because seasons coming up. If you keep thinking in short term goals, then you're never going to reach your long-term goals. I think the longevity part of it is really important for health. And for, I guess, all the criticism or feedback that we do get, we have to think about what is the long-term benefit of this versus this is a short term fix. But for you, someone like you, you built such a strong brand and I know Drew Barrymore loves you and you've really put yourself out there and you have such a strong social media presence. I'm sure you get all kinds of comments all the time. How do you brush off or how do you deal with the negative comments that you may get? Well, the negative comments are it may it may surprise you, but I do not get affected by the negative body comments. I really don't. And I think that that is because it's a product of me being comfortable in my skin, knowing when I'm out there doing and if one hillbilly wants to come on, can you say help Billy? I don't know. But it's gonna offend somebody these days..

"I need artists from the 80s and 90s. He can flip my fly any day of the week. Please welcome Tarek el Moussa. Right, you like that, right? I only did it because your wife's and I here, but why is your wife not here? You know, poor thing, you know, she had vocal cord surgery about two weeks ago. So for the last two weeks, she's been unable to speak unless she was yelling at me. So other than that she hasn't been saying much. That's true. It's true story. Are you taking good care of her? And does she have like a little bell to ring any time she wants something? I actually, she typically knocks on walls. Or she'll throw things at me like those are two of her fingers. It's a Nobel. She wanted to get the bell and I was like, I'm not going with the bell. It's the other dogs that just start running in circles. Right? You know I got a little nervous because I know you guys were doing the fertility thing and I wasn't sure like I got a little nervous about the throat surgery, is everything still on track with everything. Everything is still on track. We've gone through the process. We have some embryos. I don't know if I'm supposed to say that yet, but we have some embryos, and we're trying to decide when we're going to make it happen. Okay. That's so good. And then after ten seasons, flip or flop is coming to an end. So how are you feeling about that and what's next for you? You know, I'm feeling great. I tell people, I spend almost a third of my life filming that show, so it'll always be a part of me. And you know, me and my ex-wife, Christina, you know, there's a little bit of ups and downs in there, but I think we pulled off something special. And we had a great run. Oh, good. Yeah. You know, this housing market is really wild. And I'm trying to buy a house and you have a company called tarik price houses. Yeah. Is it a good time to buy with a market slowdown at some point for us normal people? You know, you can't predict the future. So as a real estate investor, I am always buying every single day, whether the prices are going up, whether the prices are going down, I'm buying. So, you know, right now, my company targeted by his house is we buy nationwide. So if anyone out there wants to sell the house, check out our website. And in the last two months, I think we've bought 50 or 51 houses, so we're buying a lot of houses. Yeah. And top dollar, are you trying to like, I need to know what kind of money I'm gonna get offered from your company? For a cash offer, you know, we have a fair cash offer based on the situation and the condition of the property. But ultimately, you know, it doesn't work for the seller and they don't like our offer. We really try to help them in the next steps. We'll refer them to a real estate agent and we'll give them any advice that they need. Oh wow. And what's next for you? What can we expect? Yeah, I know you got a TV show under you. I know. You got something under your system. Spill the tea. Okay, I'm working on a bunch of stuff. There's one thing that's different. I'm working on it. Again, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to talk about it. You know, let's just talk about it. Talk about it. All right, so it's a little bit out of left field. You know, I'm a real estate guy. Okay. So you know how the bachelorette has two different hosts. Yeah. So did you know that the bachelor is also going to have two different.

"I start moonlighting as a housekeeper at Sean Mendes house, do not say a word about it, okay? Just let me live out my fantasy. You know what? You need a license to be that cute. I'm sorry. I was so distracted by how I was. I don't even know what we're talking about right now. I hope it's like a web foot. I need him. We have something to show you. What? What? What, what, what? What are you doing? Oh my God, look what they did. Look at what they did to me. During the commercial break. Why did y'all do that? They put clone rocks in my water. When I'm sick tomorrow, you are so far. You said, what the fuck is in here? I was trying not to curse today. When you're gone is available now and you can get tickets for Sean's tour at wonder the tour dot com. Don't go anywhere one of my favorite women is in the house. Camila alves McConaughey is here. She is talking about some big news that she has to share. All right. So beautiful. Our next guest is a New York Times bestselling author chef entrepreneur, mother and wife. Please welcome Camilla alves McConaughey. So good to have you. It's good to be here, you guys. First of all, we're not in a pandemic anymore, but I made them put your chair 6 feet away from me because I can not be standing next to you. Not looking like that. It's beyond. Oh, I'm coming over. I'm coming around. Look how good and she smells. Absolutely beautiful. Cheese smells great. Nothing less. How do you do it? How do you keep it all together with three kids, a career? Traveling. I'm trying. I feel like every day, it's like, you know, some days, as parents, you know, that, you know, like some days you're like, yes, I did it. And then some days you're like, where's my tequila? I'm a failure. I let me just sit in the back of here. Up and down. Up and down. Just have family work and do, you know, do it all. So I think some days I feel like I got it and then some other days I'm like, I don't know what I'm doing, I'm so lost. But it's great that people can admit it. Like, I feel like moms are so afraid to admit it back in the day, but there's such an online community that's like, hey, it's not always perfect. Oh, yeah. It's not, but I also feel like, you know, at a certain point, it was a bit of a shame, right? It was a bit like embarrassed. And as parents, it's moms. Like, you feel a lot of times, well, I did it, so I can do it. I can continue doing it. And this is for me. I feel like it took me a moment. You know, just being so in our independent and work and in my own things, it takes a moment to free to realize that, you know what? It's okay to ask for help. And we're human. I tell my kids all the time. When I make a mistake, it shows you that you can, too. We all make mistakes, and that's a good thing to pass on. Absolutely. Oh, for sure. So you have, you've written your first book. First one. Yeah, a cookbook. No, it's actually a kids book. Oh, kids book. And it's called just try. One bite. Just try one bite. Yes. Yes. How many times have parents said that? How many times have you heard that growing up? Yeah. Oh, the negotiations at the dinner table are led to death. So look, I'm gonna make something clear, okay? I'm not here to tell parents what to feed their kids to follow this or follow that. But I am here to give a nice reminder to parents that the conversation around food, what is good, what's not, how does it work? Where does it come from with kids, is extremely important. And I'm a big believer that the earlier you start that, most likely you're setting up your kids for a lifelong of good habits. I agree with you. I really do agree with you because coming into healthy eating as an adult. It was such a big change because we weren't taught or talked about, you know, why vegetables, why this, what are these things due to you? And it was a big adjustment for me ten years ago. It really is. And even for me, look, I come from a family of farmers. My dad's still a Farmington today. Wow. I don't know that. Yeah, so the relationship between food seed to table was extremely, you know, a life to me as a kid, but we never talked about sugar, ever. I had as much sugar as I wanted. Growing up. Interesting. Exactly. But what do I struggle with into today? Yeah. Sugar. Of course. And then I look at my husband, which my mother in law had the conversation with him, you know, had limitations of sugar. And he considered a dessert table and just have a little bit of like, I'm good. Wow. How do you do that? So hard. And by the way, oh, don't you hate men who have that metabolism. How are you doing it? I don't have a metabolism. There is no problem. It's so hard, but I need this book because I need to work on that at home. Yes. Which is absolutely. Look, the best came out. We made The New York Times. Not in a million years, would I think of that and fun fact here, Matthew and I are both on the list this week. Oh wow. Over the list of by the way, his book is still going on the list. I was still going 65 weeks later over 3 million over 3 million copies so. Damn. So he's still in there today for him. Let me ask you a question, 'cause I listened to the book. Yeah. So my friend was like, no girl, get the audio, get the audiobook, is good, it's good. Listen to the book. And I was wondering, and this crossed my mind, I was wondering if you had learned something about him from reading this book that you didn't know. Let me put it this way. I did, but more to the point of seeing from different lenses. You know, I think that sometimes when you living and you in the middle of it and all of that, with the book, it was an opportunity to step back. Yes. You see what I mean? And then you step back and you go, oh. And you start seeing it in a little bit of a different lens and a little bit of a different perspective. So that was very interesting with the I admire you. Isn't it? Is it she amazing? Yeah. Yeah, you're amazing. You're so sweet. And she smells. So damn good. Great person. She really is a beautiful person. The energy, you guys feel that energy. You walk in here, right? I'm gonna hide it. Well, while she turns as red as her Jackson. Yes. You guys get Camilla's book, just try one bite. It is out now. I ordered it for a friend. And if you're in LA, she's having a book signing tomorrow at Barnes and noble at the grove what time that's at 2 o'clock. I hope that from two to four and we have something special. I partner with good egg. And we're making a special box. So for the first 50 people that show up that come to meet us there, we're going to have a special pizza, make your own pizza party box. Girl. But you can take it home and party with your kids. You said you said my best thing. I'm here. And me pizza. Okay. And that's the wild Grammy fashion we will never get over..

"I don't wanna move on. Were you nervous about the release of the song in anticipation that a certain someone would be hearing it? Camila heard this song months ago. So we have a really honest relationship about it. I would never really put a song out about her before. She would hear it. It's hard. For me to let go of you so I'm just trying to hold on. If she gave you feedback, like, no, I don't want you to put this out. Would you not put it out? Probably not. I mean, it depends on if it was truly not fair to put out and I then, of course, and there has been songs that I wrote that I'm like, okay, maybe I should put this out. She knows me, and I know her. And I think ultimately we both are writers and we both know what it is to make music and what the bigger picture of making art is and we're supportive of that. Always. Do you ever get butterflies in your stomach before the song is literally about to draw them? I would say it's a month before the song drop that the butterflies come. By the time the song comes out, I'm already we're committed. We're already there. We saw your TikTok promoting the song and you said that that was unusual behavior, but be honest, is that really unusual behavior for you? It's unusual that that gets caught on camera is what you got it. So you're often just walking around the house, like singing your music, your list. Yeah, actually. I need to learn how to cope without you. There's one line in the song that says I need to learn how to cope.

"That's funny. First of all, she was like, look over here. Get in the car. Good job. Great. That was smart. By the way, I'm telling you right now. Was she walked on that Oscar red carpet? That look, that dress told me one thing. And she was ready to eat a man alive. And she is going to do what she is single. She is hot. She is thriving. She's successful. This woman is about to have the hot girl summer of the year. As she deserves. This is how you handle a breakup. You get back out there and keep it moving. Good for her. First, she's a friend in my head. She is just so much fun. But she looks good. She's ready. Oh, she's ready. She's ready. She is rich. Girl, summer. Telling lots is coming clean about Twilight costar. He had a major crush on. Listen to what he admitted on the Twilight effect with Ashley green. There were some very steamy kissing scenes between you and Nikki. I'm just wondering what the chemistry was like. Nikki was awesome. I really like fell in love with her as a human being. In breaking dawn because we just had so much time to talk. And she's really, really special as such a kind heart. And I remember I felt so connected to her and I'm actually kind of surprised her and I didn't date throughout all this. Wow. Yeah, Nikki Reed is professional though. I wonder if it sounds like he wanted to be with her, but maybe she didn't want to be with him. I don't know. Nikki Reed was an Oscar nominated writer at the age of 14 years old. She has been in this business for a long time. And she already knows what's up. She knows that you are playing a character that you are, you know, in hair and makeup every day. You look your best. You feel your best. I'm getting you at your a game. Right. She knows that once this camera's off, things might be a little different. Yeah. So I think a lot of actors who do that realize very early after everything has wrapped. Oh, this person is not who I thought they were. That's why you see actors dating on set, and then they end up breaking up months later. If they can, the studio doesn't force them to be together. And then sometimes chemistry is chemistry. Yeah. And they're drawn together, and that's how they meet, and they stick together. You know what I mean? True. Sometimes that happens. How does it work? But I would say more of what you just said. You know? Nicole Kidman, eyes wide shut. Tom Cruise y'all. Oh, that was hot. That was hot. That was good. I think it happened for a lot of people in real life during quarantine where you were stuck with someone and you were together in this kind of unrealistic bubble and that's why so many relationships either thrive to your point or didn't at the end because you went back to real life and it's a lot like that on these sets I would think. Did you really know someone? But let me actually show you the bubble. You're the date and expert. Action actually always mean you'll be a good couple. Don't you wish it was that easy? Yes. You know, if it was just about soul connections, a lot of people would still be together. You have this sole connection that draws you together this animalistic drawn together love. The thing when you get to the real world and real things start happening, yes, love is a beautiful thing, but love has to be in addition to other things. Communication compatibility, families, work life, finances, and all comes together. But that animalistic love is what drew together in the first place. It makes it so hot and passionate. Right. Maybe that's why they want to bring another gay man on the show. 'cause they're scared I'm gonna like try to get on it. Hey, I would love to see that. And I would not be mad. I keep on telling them, give me another game man up in here. Get you another yes. I would love to never want to bring Jonathan Bailey on the show. Mine is the fact that you probably have a restraint in order. Up next, Shawn Mendes tells us how he's coping with his split from Camila Cabello plus how she feels about his new song. I would never really put a song out about her before. She would hear it. Sydney, Sweeney is not shy when it comes to bearing it all on euphoria, but how do grandma and grandpa feel about it? Sydney spilled their surprising reaction to Ellen. So for the premiere I invited my entire family. And I didn't really think about the entire family meeting. Like my grandparents, my uncles. Oh, yeah. I was like, it's the holy wood premiere. How are they with this stuff? I have the best Hollywood. Oh, wow. Who are you grandparents? Are they available for drinks next week? So all I want to know. That's all I want to know. So good. Would you invite your entire family to see you naked on screen? No. I don't mind seeing me naked, but having sex on screen, I don't think I could let them see that. No. I'm not letting my grandparents seem to take a baby. No, not at all. I didn't tell my family I was on the show for about 6 months. Because that was being honest, I was open, you know, I was trying to land a job. I was telling you about all my issues. Right, right. So I didn't tell them, but I just, sometimes I think actors go on these TV shows. And they're like, how am I gonna shock Ellen? And they do something. Meanwhile, grandparents are like, we didn't say that? Yeah, they're like, what? Where was that? Titties? Yeah. We don't use that type of language. I'll never. John Mendez also does use that type of language, but he is driving some new music, and it's about his split from Camila Cabello. So how does she feel about it? Aaron got the answer. I don't want to know what it's like when you're gone.

"Happy Friday, bust out the cocktails. It is April fools day. Shawn Mendes is getting real about his breakup and Drew Barrymore is talking dating and why she's after Tom Cruise. Say hello to corny Wilson. Hi. I love you. And Monique mojo came. Honey, one person that is not joking around this morning is Oscar's producer, will packer. He is finally revealing his version of what went down after the slap heard around the world. Now, you might want to get a drink for this because this gets deep. We'll tell GMA it was actually Chris rocket who let Will Smith stay at the show. You got to hear this. The LAPD made it clear, we will do whatever you want us to do. And one of the options is that we will go and arrest him right now. Rock has made it clear that he does not want to make a bad situation worse. That was Chris energy. His tone was not retaliatory, his tongue was not aggressive and angry. And so I was advocating what rock wanted in that time, which was not to physically remove Will Smith at that time, because as it has now been explained to me, that was the only option at that point. It has been explained to me that there was a conversation that I was on a part of to ask him to voluntarily leave. Okay, okay. So things got even more confusing. Despite what will packer said, deadline is reporting that Chris Rock was never asked if he wanted Will Smith remove. Uh oh. So what do you guys think about all this? Because I feel like they're playing liability limbo right now. Right. You know that meme of the three Spider-Man like this? Yeah. Pointing at one another. And the web is getting more intense. It's okay. I first have to say this, okay? Because we'll packer put on an impeccable show. He did a great job and I hate that the interviews afterwards are now focused on this instead of the great job that him and his team did. Right. So I just have to say kudos to you, will packer. For doing a great job. Yeah. Now that being said, the web is getting crazier and crazier because if this did not happen, why are people giving conflicting stories? Is it because they saw the backlash afterwards or what? And if he was asked to leave and he refused to leave, what were they supposed to do? It was already a big scene there. And it would have only gotten worse if you would have refused to leave. Yeah, but at the end of the day, you invite somebody to come on your stage and work and be a part of this. They get assaulted on stage. If Will Smith was not Will Smith. If somebody who was nominated again for best song would have come up and slapped, it would have been a conversation. It would have been a high. We need you to leave. We're not asking you to vote. That's true. Here's Borussia and DD and they gonna help you get your stuff. There's been so many different, we just keep more as being more and more revealed, more revealed more. And so it's like we're going, okay, this is what happened. No, no, this is what happened. We can't, you know, all we know is for real and because this is all alleged stuff. We know that it was a tasteless joke. Okay, it's comedy. Yeah. A horrid and unacceptable reaction. There's remorse on his part, but I've been thinking about this all week long. Too bad, you blew it. You lost control and you did something so appalling and so out of left field for a prestigious show like this. But I agree, corny, but the only thing with this is this is about whether or not Will Smith was asked to leave, should have left, should have gone. It's on the Oscars. And it should not have been put on Chris Rock because you went up to Chris Ross. Yes. That should have never been brought to him. After the never been put in his hands, but apparently they are saying that he was never asked nor should he have been asked. You know, Chris Rock has gone through so much already with this whole situation. The way he's handled it is a class act. Yes. And I do believe if someone asked him if he wanted will to be gone, I believe, if that happens that Chris probably did say no, just as cool as cool. But this level, I'm just so disappointed, embarrassed, disgusted by this entire situation because to your point, yes, it was a tasteless joke. I agree with that. However, you've show your ass or national a global television without thinking of the consequences that it had on everybody else, okay? The Williams sisters, even, let's talk about questlove that didn't even get an opportunity to really enjoy his moments. Will packer and shayla, they don't get to enjoy their moment. It was a bigger picture. And I just think about Sidney Poitier and everybody else who have paved the way. For you to lose control and that moment, okay? He didn't do this behind the scenes where nobody heard it. It was just a Hollywood rumor that just allegedly happened. He did this on a global stage and as much as I love his work, I can not support what happened. I am sorry. Never. I can't. And again, I agree with everything you have just said. I can not support what happened. Right. But like I said the other day, I'm not going to let one moment define this man's 30 year career. But I will let how he handles this going forward, define it for me. How do you feel about how he's handled it so far? Look, I thought the apology on stage was half assed. Yeah. I thought it was him doubling down on why he did something. I think he definitely woke up on Monday morning. Yeah. And it hit him. Oh, yeah. That he lost control. You know, and it was unfortunate for me because he had this big hole kumbaya moment with his book that inspired people to level up and find themselves and deal with things that they aren't, you know, finish dealing with and not that he's a HIPAA grid because, you know, even Gandhi might lose his head at times. Well, yeah. I'm just, I'm just upset at the fact that as a black man and as a lover of both of these men that he did it to another black man on this stage and I don't believe that he would have done the same thing to a white man. Oh, that part. Or let's say a white man did the same thing to Chris Rock. Right. Yes. What do you think would have happened? I think it would have blown up bigger, but because there are two black men. Right. I think it was like, oh, let us handle this inside the house. If this, again, I said this again. If this was Jamie Kimmel or Jimmy Fallon, he wouldn't have made it off the stage. Yes. The tackle would have happened live on air, the academy would have came out strong that 1151 after the broadcast ended at 1145. And this wouldn't be this whole hoopla. It's just unfortunate that this is all unfortunate. Yes. I was saying they should have just taken hands, join hands, and just left the room. And even after that slapper punch, whatever you want to call it. Sounded like a punch to me. Girl. It sounds like a slap. That was waiting for that veneer to pop right out. And I'm sorry. But I thought, you know, like, you know. Drew Barrymore is hitting the road next week and taking her show to Texas. She told me all about that and why she isn't really looking for an.

Zanna, how's it going? What's up guys? I'm here at spring studios in New York where fashion week is in full swing. This weekend was major. I had some fun moments. We were Christian siriano show where that front row was major talking to Nikki Hilton also about baby bumps. This week is going to be equally insane and tomorrow. I'm going to bring you my special interview with Meg the stallion. But first, add a little love fest also with my good friend Drew Barrymore. Watch this. Now sanna and I are dear Friends and we collaborate on the Drew Barrymore show on a constant basis. Oh, and both have the same birthday, which is next week. Yep, what are we doing? 22, 22. Do you have any fun celebrations with the kids? 'cause my girls are already planning my birthday next week. What are you going to do? I mean, I just told the girls I just want to have dinner with them. That's all I care about. My friend, you come up with Christian. A bungle this. Why Christian? Christian is my new friend where he says, let me take you out. Get out of the house. Come with me. Let's do this. And you need someone to encourage you because you don't I don't leave the house. I feel like this room is a great representation of a beautiful style in itself. It's a perfect backdrop for the clothes. What on earth made you choose the Empire State Building for this incredible place? I wanted something that was like, you know, iconic New York, but the idea of the collection is that it's kind of like this kind of Victorian matrix thing. It was a very cute mom's night out for Nikki Hilton at the Alison Olivia show. But the big question is she gonna find out the gender of baby number three? My mom doesn't want me to find out. No. My mom's very old fashioned. She's like, I didn't find out for any of you kids. Please. The ultimate surprise in life do not find out. Now tell me about this big day today. Three things can we expect on that runway? Black beauty. Oh. That third? Good question a third. Seduction. Oh. Right. And again, and again, and again. I was like, oh. Okay. On my cube. Seduction. I can not what the Valentine's plans over here. I think this is when I'll exit the screen. Damn, Lala is looking good. So it's amazing. You know who else is looking damn good? Mary J. But for a long time I think for a couple months we thought there was 13 or 14 of them. I love it. You would think. You would think. You would think one might say. All right ash, what a 24 movie did supporting scream star Jenna Ortega recently appear in. Can you say the question one more time? Sorry. What a 24 movie did supporting scream star Jenna Ortega recently appeared. For anyone that does remember Jenna Ortega is the girl in the opening of scream 2022. Basically the equivalent of Drew Barrymore and the present year. The girl that was also in you. Yeah, I know, I know. I love her. I just can't think of the movie. I don't know. Can we steal in this round? This round. Is it X? It is X yes. I haven't heard of that. So I want to see X actually. I haven't seen it yet. I think the song was demonic and that's why the tree fell. And that's why she flew out the back. There was some exorcism going on. A lot of song. Yeah. It's like saying candyman, you don't say that you don't say it. Don't say it three times. Don't you daresay. Don't say my fly out this mother. Candyman. One more time. Don't do it. Don't do it. I'm not going to scare me. All right. Another TV movie that people probably forget on purpose, a very Brady Christmas. Okay, so the family gets some not so jolly greetings when they're old housekeeper. Alice stops by with some bad news. My husband left me a note. Written on paper from his butcher shop. Did you say you had the present for me? Yeah. I brought you me. It's Christmas. Do you have it in your heart to take me back? Sam, don't you ever do anything like that again? Literally being like trying to convince women, hey, if your husband leaves you for a younger woman, but he does something kind of romantic, and then also destroys the idea of Santa Claus for all the younger kids at the table. Right. That you should take him back. Don't you ever do something like that again? Someone younger, bitch? And then taking them back. I'm cheating on Alice. Alice, you can. That's the thing when you get the man you can't fall apart. You gotta keep it together, boo. You can just Atlas was looking terrible, had a little apron on her. Her hair was dry. And this is not me in an advocate of cheating. However, homegirl with the sex dungeon, you gotta keep it cute and fresh. Not season in the rump right. Exactly. Not hot sauce it. God Alice, call us next time. Oh my God. I love we have a cartoon based on a popular Christmas song which might prove Santa is a psychopath. You can say there's no spanking har learned grandma. Her medicine. Her fruitcake. Now it's up to one courageous boy from giving Santa a bad rap. My mind is well shaved my beard and cancel a holiday's cheek will have to prove that Santa is innocent. Christmas is a thing of the past. Case looks pretty cut clear for me. Santa ran into her. Guilty. It's guilty. Out of all these I would watch that one, probably because at least it would be so absurd. Like everything was like kind of insane. It'd be fun to watch. Will it? No. Seeing someone sweet grandmother get knocked off. Her and her. You know who says, I don't want to say anything. Here she is, her shoes, her fruit cake. Her damn grandma, where you going, miss? What? You do a good impression of like a teenage boy. That is exactly how I sounded for the majority of my life. Yeah. Just recently, your voice came in. Just recently, balls drop voice one, you know, low, is good. By the way, the whole time we were supposed to be saying Ho Ho or after we haven't said that once. You had to Ho Ho one of them. Brady Christmas, that one's so. Yeah, I would have to watch that too. All right, I'll hold on that one with you guys. We have two Ho hos. Two Ho hos. Two holes and then a pregnant lady. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. Oh. Got me. Well, hopefully that got you into the spirit because that is all the time you guys we have for today. DVRs and we'll see you tomorrow. Bye. Bye. Bye..

"Through the past of The Go-Go's wildest journey and more so much fun to have joining us on this Friday helping us to wrap up this week Gina schock a member of the iconic original girl band We're talking about the first all female rock group right their own songs play their own instruments reach the top of the billboard charts The band as we said the go goes And her new book made in Hollywood all access with the go goes She joins us on the phone in San Francisco Gina really really excited to have you here Thanks for joining Tim and myself How are you Oh I'm still pretty high from The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame thing It's just kind of unbelievable It's funny You sort of sort of put to it It's like I don't care about the stuff but then when it happens it's mind-blowing It's like okay you know you feel like you're recognized by your fans Don't get me wrong But then this sort of recognition is a whole different thing because all your peers were there All of the other musicians and songwriters and people in my business were all there celebrating this triumph for the band And it felt good to get all those props All that love and respect and it felt very genuine as well It was quite an evening my friend quite an evening And you accepted the honor from Drew Barrymore I know at the ceremony I mean all of it right Yeah but if people were like what's the deal with you very Well the deal is that it couldn't have been someone better to give us that award because drew's been a real fan of this fancy She's been a kid And I was like you know in case you don't know it well now the word is yes And after the show well we were talking with truth to ask the curiosity show but it was like I didn't really realize how much of an impression we had left on her because she said you know Gina through the years I mean we all know that she went through a lot of difficult periods in her life just like we all had okay I didn't realize that we helped her through a lot of stuff And that was I don't know Just you can't believe it You know you might think that about other people you know you think oh I remember when this song happened and how that helped me through this relationship with that But when it actually happens to you it's sort of you can't take it all in to feel like you've made that deep of an impression on someone Right It's pretty incredible to hear that Gina because I would imagine that you do hear it from fans a lot about what it about what the effect that your music has had on them I am these days but you got to remember guys I come home and I'm cleaning up my dog's poop and I'm doing dishes And I'm back to the real life which is most of the most of my life And then you go out there for a couple months of the year and you rock started You just sort of you don't think about that all the time Then what's your tension Like I was like oh my God this is really my job How cool is that Well we have just we have to say your book really made an impression on us And you are the unofficial I guess our official photographer self appointed archivist I think is how somebody described you of the ban It really is an incredible history but also the visual story that you tell You're taking photos It sounds like all the time I little did I know that all these years later it would all surface in the way that it has because back then I just was always drawn to I'm a very visual person I was always drawn to photographs and in my house even I have 99% of my art is all photographed from various Photographers or not so much But it's always something that's driven me And so when I started taking photos with the band it felt like a very natural thing to do The only difference is to say hey I happen to be in the band So I'm getting all these candid shots that no one else would ever be privy to If they weren't in the band And I just had such a love for photography and I still do And I can't believe I had my first I had my first photo exhibition in Los Angeles with this past weekend And I was I mean it was something that I only would have dreamt I could do You could find yourself with the things that you are capable of Given the opportunity you just sort of you just sort of stand up and you take yeah I think I can do that Well everything's working out great guys I would say it's all worked out really well Hey sit tight for a second We got to do a little bit of news but we want to continue with Eugene Gina schock Her new book made in Hollywood all access with The Go-Go's And like we said it really is just I was prepping for the segment last night and I was reading through the book and I finally was like I gotta go home This is so good You've got to go into a book shop and pick it up and hold it and look at it It's a beautiful book All right we're going to continue with it because I also want to talk about the impression she the band has made on others but I'm curious about the folks that have made impressions on her because they as they were going through as The Go-Go's were meeting some really amazing musicians and individuals so I'm curious who made impressions on her as well In the meantime back to world of national news.

"Daily pop. As I get my wee out of this tape. A mom learned the hard way you can't let your kids play on your phone and noted, Brianna loose says her three year old daughter accidentally went live on Instagram and wound up broadcasting mommy, but naked while she was taking a shower you guys. Rihanna's daughter was asking for help with a filter when she handed her mom the phone, not realizing a ton of her friends were watching. Okay. You know that's like, you know those dreams you used to have when you're like, naked in the office, make it out there. That's like my biggest fear, the freaking going live. And it's emotionally. Agreed. Do you know what I'm saying? It is of all I would apologize to everybody. I just said a blanket apology to anyone who saw that. But did anyone notice that the three year old was asking for a filter? She's three. You don't need a filter yet. You know? But they were so smart. They know what I'm saying. Sure, her mom wish she had a filter on. When she put that phone on her. Can you, by the way, I feel like kids come out of the womb instinctively knowing how to use your phone. My daughter, I always make an effort to not have it around her, but I always have to move it behind me and now she's starting to follow things, but she's Tapping and scrolling and she's 9 months old. I'm telling you. You can ask, you could ask a three year old to help you set up Instagram and they would do better than I would. Yeah. I mean, have you thought about that speaking of these situations? Have you I know yours are very little and very, very, you know, you're still in European. Yeah. Have you thought about it age for a phone? Like when did you give me on? Because they know they like you said they come out of the womb. They know exactly. They know. I think at this point, it's almost like a safety thing. So I think you gotta just, you know, I think it's iPads are worse at meals and stuff like that. But you guys, this was so much fun. Thank you, both. Thank you. M show was amazing. Thank you. You guys set your DVRs because we got a huge show tomorrow. We're hanging with Drew Barrymore. Emily Blunt Zendaya. See you later. So sweet. "Can I ask you that? Is that okay? Yeah. We just didn't have the butt. I mean, we held stuck by her for a couple years after a bunch of injuries. Yeah. And you know, at that point, it was just like, there wasn't the budget there. We had to move. I mean, we did pay for a while through injuries, and it was like it just kept happening and it was like, I don't know. It was a bad decision, sure. I mean, I'm sure I made good decisions about it. Everybody does. That's a good answer, I think. It's just like you made a call based on what it was at the time. And yeah. And it wasn't even you know, like when we wanted to talk about it as it's not even worth a conversation, I don't want to hurt your feelings or anything. It's just like, we can't do it, which is probably even worse, like the way I handled it, I'm sure. But we're friends to this day and she had an amazing career from them. And it was funny because right when I dropped her based on a podcast, I did a long time ago. She was getting picked up by Red Bull and her whole life would change, so. Yeah. What do I know? Yeah. Do you think you ever look at them instead of like humans? They're just like numbers. I mean horses. 'cause I don't like to call them numbers. That's way better. Right. But I mean, that's what you have to that's your job. Well, I look at it like that when you're gambling on competition athletes. That's when they're almost I don't want to say horses, but you believe in a couple who's like, I believed in wing Thai Barrymore, that dude is fucking incredible. You see that guy in the half pipe just the way that guy boosts. He goes bigger than anybody, but his problem was he blows up and gets hurt..

"A good chance that Drew Barrymore shot her shot. Shoot your shot her shot at Leonardo DiCaprio this week through Instagram. So Leo DiCaprio putting post up about global warming. It was a post that said It was about projected rising temperatures and stuff. Leo is big into the environment. So drew commented on it and said You should be the only hot one, not our planet. That was it. Yeah, And now everybody's like, Oh, drew. Shoot your share. Why not? I'll tell you why not. Drew is incredibly too old for Leo DiCaprio, who dates literally like 20. He definitely date younger for sure. 22 year olds. I think Drew is like a grandma under the crappy o scale. Oh, Oh. Oh, I guess, but I'm always run. The lower sure, and I know I'm fine. I felt like anytime it started to get a little bit serious. Like i was the person to run from because every guy would be listening to their publicist. Who would be like stay away. Stay away you'll never be respected actor. You'll never be a respected musician. If you're dating her.

We Tried the Insta-Famous Hanacure Face Mask
"Week. We did a little home experiment for you was slightly traumatic but we are dedicated journalists. You're welcome face or something. Jenny what the hell is gonna tell me. Okay trying hannah cure this morning before i start some meetings at work. I'm going gonna open up a package. That's right we did the hanoch your facial it's called an all in one facial in the box says i'm going to get four octa lift solutions and for octo lift am pupils. See you open it up so the ambulance little glass vials in the solutions in these little pods and then i also have a brush and i do not know what octa lift means but we will find out wanting to try this mask for a while. Because i've seen it on social media. I think saw drew barrymore doing it. If you guys don't know this mask is the one that you put it on and it dries and it makes your skin look really really wrinkled. Like a raisin. The desk has a laundry list of supposed benefits like unclogging pours lifting. And firming opened the calf and empowering the little ampule and combining them now and then re seal it a shake vigorously for twenty seconds gel will form right here. We go to reading using the brush apply gel evenly to face. Then you have to pretend you're a mannequin. No laughing or smiling or blinking. And i gotta figure out something to fan my face with these instructions ending bluefields cold and the shrinkage begins. I can feel it. Kinda starting to tighten a little bit. It's almost twenty minutes in. This thing is very tight. Very excited. To her. And set off it loosely. You are very very creepy. Any other thoughts to share. You talk weird no. I can't really move fish. Do you think this is going to make my skin really luminous kind of before. Now you look terrifying. My seven year old is right. I looked terrifying. I just rinse off my face and it was such a relief started feeling really itchy. So then when. I started putting the water on had to rinse for quite a while to get it off so right after i rinsed off the mask i was definitely khloe. Think it part of it was just the glow of being happy that the mask was off my face but my skin was very smooth. It didn't put on makeup right afterward. But i had the impression that it definitely would be a nice mass to do right before you did put on makeup because everything would would go on very nicely. I didn't have the instructions that said to be prepared for redness. I didn't experience any overall. The percents positive. Although it was a lot to go through to get

Drew Barrymore Said Her Mother Placed Her In A Psychiatric Ward At 13 And Spoke About How It Affected Their Relationship
"Barrymore opening up about being placed in a psychiatric ward at age of thirteen by her mom. She told howard stern in an interview this week that she was going to clubs not going to school stealing. Her mom's car was just out of control. Thirteen years old. Your father mother. We're just not there for you. And i thought about britney spears documentary. I have so much empathy towards so many people. Paris hilton came on the show and she had been institutionalized by her mom. And you know you think. Like britney and paris. And i've thought it for myself. I'm sure that people look on and think these party girls. These privileges says how dare they have feelings about any of this. They've put themselves up out there. They've asked for this. It's fair game. And i just go there. Humans they're just humid. Stayed in that psychiatric ward for about eighteen months. And she said after thirty years of therapy and soul-searching she finally learned to forgive her mom for doing that or my mom. Put me in a place that was like a full psychiatric word. I used to laugh at those like malibu thirty day places. They talk about things that pissed me off. I was just like a a little spa vacation for thirty days. Like in malibu was sort of the opposite of the experience. I had i was in a place for a year and a half called. Van is psychiatric. And you couldn't mess around in there and if you did you would get thrown either in thought padded room or get stretcher strains and tied up. Why were you so bad that you had in padded room. I grab you know with like the go. Go's and wendy williams and blondie and all these like bad ass chicks and i just would like you know channel my inner riot girl and i you know some days. It was really funny. I would rile up all the girls. And i'd be like listen to these people. Don't care about you.

Disney smashes streaming subscriber expectations
"We start off with disney delivering in its latest company smashing streaming expectations the stock higher in the after hours session. Let's get straight to julie abortion. Who is fresh off that disney call julia. Melissa earnings call underway right now. The stock up nearly three percent after the company exceeded expert expectations on the top line in reported a profit rather than the loss analysts anticipated. Now the two key areas in focus parks and streaming both outperformed expectations disney's streaming business outpaced projections going to ninety five million disney plus subscribers and one hundred and forty six million total direct. To consumer customer is now that includes hulu and espn plus that division grew revenue seventy three percent from the year earlier quarter especially pleased with the success of our correct. The consumer business and our recent strategic reorganization has enabled us to accelerate. The company. Said it was a dc first business model and further grow our streaming services disney plus has exceeded even our highest expectations. Meanwhile the parts visions revenue dropped less than anticipated down by fifty three percent the company announcing that covert has headed two point six billion dollar impact on the parks divisions operating income as a result of closures and reduced capacities. Where we've been able to reopen are with limited capacity guest have consistently demonstrated a willingness and a desire to visit which we believe is a testament to the fact that they feel confident. In the health and safety protocols we've put in place average daily attendance at walt disney world significantly from q for q one japex saying they're continuing to invest to build out different features of their parks and they said they are very pleased with the reservations and consumer interest in visiting parks. Melissa of course that's going to be in focus as they start to get to be able to increase their capacity in florida and are allowed to open up here in california. All right julia. Thank you julie. Borsen the latest on disney. Which is up three percent after hours. Dia dommie how do you like the stock. How do you like what they said on this. Call well kudos again. I mentioned the last night sort of took a pass on the kudos. I'll give it to her anyway. And tim who've been all over this and so listen. I'm not a huge fan of treadmills and this is going somewhere. Mel by the way suggest indulge me for a second but you get on a treadmill. You go eight miles an hour maybe walk. Maybe put down your honor for forty five minutes but when you get off your exactly where you started and i bring that up because listen. It's great that they keep adding people to disney plus i get it but as rich greenfield amongst. Many others pointed out our food down twenty-eight percent every year i'll tell you what that means because that's the game we play here but effectively a lot of ways that running in place. Now the naysayers will say. That's a bad thing. That's going to lead to decline in stock. And the optimists will say they're going to be able to monetize all those people there all by drew barrymore short with the delorean on it and those types of thing and maybe they'll go mr toad wild ride when the parks reopened. I'm not nearly as optimistic. So it's not a great ride valuations now or at levels where i don't think it necessarily should be okay and then it pick up on that point because i also read that tweet so this past quarter the arp average revenue per user was four dollars and three cents for disney plus and a year ago is five dollars and fifty six cents. Tim should we not care about this at this early stage of growth for disney for the streaming service. I don't think so. I mean i no. I don't think so. And i think you know guy may be like george jetson on the treadmill. I avoid treadmills i. I'd rather be out there and disney's running through the streets right now with with ninety five million and essentially when you add in hulu and espn plus. We heard those numbers. This strategic reorganization is part of the excitement. Here again. this division is up. Seventy three percent during a period when netflix is been in a sweet spot of engaged in couldn't be in a better position disney's outperform the stocks outperform disney from net flicks by almost forty percent since since august. But even over the last couple of years it's outperformed net flicks which we would all certainly agree is also making a move especially in terms of profitability. But again do we care about that. With netflix's should we care about that with disney when also they're showing that they can at least be profitable and their core business through very difficult times on the way out of kobe. So look i understand the profitability issues. At some point disney's got to create their own content. We know that's very expensive. But if you're asking me you know from from an investor's perspective. Am i happy with with the metrics that are driving the stock to move higher and thirty nine times five bucks. A share of two thousand and twenty two is is not expensive when you consider what is being paid for net flicks.

The case for Baylor at No. 1 over Gonzaga
"The only respectful way to begin. This episode is by recognizing that scott drew baylor bears formerly known. As bill henderson's baylor bears improved a seventeen on the season tuesday night with an eighty-three sixty nine victory at texas. They outscored the longhorns. By seven in the first half they outscored the longhorns. By seven in the second half as a result baylor otherwise known as terry eagles alma mater is now seventeen and fifteen. Double digit wins. The bears are number one at kim palm. Their number one in the net. they are awesome undeniably. Norlander your turn to talk about baylor. Are you going to spend the next few minutes showing proper respect for the first lady of baylor basketball or are you going to once again disrespect. Kelly drew got drew. Plus mackenzie payton brody. Not to mention homer and janet price and tara dana and her husband. Casey bryson anna isaiah caleb. In luke plus drew barrymore drew carey. Drew brees drew bledsoe. Dr drew drew. Gooden andrew mcintyre how are you gonna handle this moment. bryce doesn't care does care. He'd bryce doesn't care. I talk to about it. He doesn't care. How are you going to atone for the fact that you still have a number one. I mean. I think it's disrespectful at this point. Daily top twenty five and one. After what i saw last night. I got baylor number one. But you don't and you disrespect the entire through family. And every drew. She has to drew mcgarry as well. You're disrespecting them all you've got number two. I think you're the one who needs to explain himself. I actually can't explain myself. And i do get asked this every day. I saw strong joe last night trying to make the case that baylor should be number one and i let it be clear. I won't argue with anybody that says baylor should be number. One baylor at this moment has a better resume than gonzaga. Got six quarter on lindsay. Does eggs only have five. Baylor is got the best adjusted efficiency margin in the country and one of the best of all time at this point. If you wanna if you wanna put baylor number one it is fine with me. It's just. I think we've talked about this. Before i made a rule a longtime ago i will not drop number one team unless it loses the only time i made an exception i went and looked it. Up is two seasons ago. Kansas was number one in the top twenty five and one to open the season. Kentucky might have been to. Duke was in the top five somewhere and do zion williamson cameras and remember the other one started with our allies and it was. It was whatever it doesn't matter. It doesn't rj barrett and so they went out and they just throttled kentucky on opening night at bankers life. And i just. I was even conflicted. Then because keynes's is just one and it was one zero and number one and i was like i don't feel silly not to have that duke team. That just did that to kentucky ranked number one. So i made an exception to the rule. Then but i've been ranking college basketball teams for better or worse for like more than fifteen years now and i've only dropped a number one team without losing one time and that is the example.

Did Alec Baldwin Know about Hilaria?
"Did alec baldwin really know and i. I don't really know. I really. I think i think he's a weird guy You know he was awful to kim bassey basing her his wife he was. You know awful to the daughter. When she was about thirteen is the famous. You know voice message that he left her. They were going through very very contentious divorce. And a lot of lawyers involved a lot of custody battles between alec and kim. And i think it was about thirteen and i think either she flaked on their time alone or didn't wanna go over to the dad's house which happens a lot when kids are about that age and their parents are separated and he left her. The message saying your little pig. And i guess kim did submit it in her divorce findings and it went public. And i mean there's even a youtube video of door the explorer like with the voice of it. I remember my sons went saw. It went very viral since then ireland. A very pretty girl also very popular and instagram. She is an adult now. kim has really not been acting. I haven't seen her in much. She's sixty seven years old. I did not realize that she was actually older than alec But i don't know what she's up to but when this story broke down a couple days after christmas who was the girlfriend. That is like kim coming over with a bottle of wine and let us fuck and talk even if she didn't care about hillary under five kids and that you know because obviously she was nicer daughter ireland. But there's just got to be some satisfaction in knowing that your ex husband's wife is been proven to be full of shit as far as this still doesn't mean she's not a nice person. A charitable person. But this is weird in a nutshell. She grew up in boston. She went to high school here. Her parents are white her. She's relatives all the way from like the revolutionary war or whatever. There is no spanish in her blood at all. The dad got into teaching some spanish studies. The data and the mom who are still married moved to spain in two thousand and eleven. And i think the brother might have gone there as well and visited or whatever and she went on in so many interviews so many things to say that her family lives in spain so in one interview. They're like now wait. What happens like i came here. I came here when i was nineteen to go to school at nyu. And the two female interviewers are like. Oh from spain yes. My family lives in spain. now. She didn't say i was born in spain and then she tried to say in correcting that when she didn't think it was going to be a big deal like the first day this broke. She did an instagram Tv like right to camera and then she took it down and that's when she said What i meant was. I moved from boston to nyu when i was nineteen because all these people went to high school with hillary in boston so i thought that was really interesting now. They met her and alec met. According to. everything's been researched. Is he walked into a restaurant. New york was there and she was there and she was speaking perfect spanish to a waiter and he said i must tell you and she said you must know me now. I think he just was like loved that little sexy spanish. You know much like a selma hayek. Who was his love. Interest in thirty rock for in two thousand eight two thousand and nine. He met hillary in two thousand and eleven. And i think that just was kinda like hot. It's like it's like the couple. Let's see we're here. They are getting married. I'm looking on my youtube for those of you. That like to watch on youtube all the photos from their wedding and she kept very much with the spanish theme. She has this long traditional spanish. Veil that covers your head. It's very you know it's from that type of style and they. I think they had a spanish speaking priest. They found eight. Spanish church catholic church in in new york to get married in and she did interviews forty people from my family over from spain so it was crazy. You can imagine how crazy it was with the spaniards here. Well those people are just people that live in their vacation home that like retired there and came over and then she said oh my god and my relatives there like how do we say your new. New name is baldwin baldwin. They don't their spanish. They don't know how to save baldwin. I mean it just continues on alec. Baldwin goes on david letterman and starts imitating his wife spanish accent and he goes and it's not being racist because she is from spain and she you know and so he's doing he's playing into it and i just think people sitting back loved it and the more that they loved it and encourage it. I think he just went along with it. I don't know that he ever really asked her about her high school life. He might be one of those guys. That doesn't really ask. I don't know. I ask a lot of questions. But you know. I just interviewed emily simpson from real housewives of o see and. She said she's never really asked her husband about his mormonism and they've been together twelve years so i don't know how other couples work but i think he loved the package so kelly just said what do you think when he met the parents and they didn't have an accent. I don't know that he really cared to get to know the parents a lot of you know there. He's an older guy. He has his wife. She's popping out babies. She's really sweet to him. She's down to boehner many time she can whip up a nice meal. I dunno and you know he has to. He's one of these guys that works a lot and he kind of has to. I don't think he's enormously wealthy as a star you know. He needs to take the. He does like a show with celebrity. Some game show. I forgot the name of it to the truth or to tell the truth. I don't know what it and he said. I take paycheck like i. There's jobs i take straight up. I need the paycheck. I've got you know six kids including ireland. And you know home in the hamptons home in new york i think he has really expensive lifestyle and But i think he totally loves and loves what she was. and i don't know i just. I don't know that. I think she was kind of used to presenting herself. Like that was starting to get into it and then like on their first date you know she said oh for the first five weeks we just held hands and then you know five months into the relationship. We got an apartment together and so it's just fascinating. I want to see a movie made about this. I really do of when do you go. When do i stop. Or for some people like madonna. Who picked up an english accent. When she was living in england did she just become so used to it that she kind of forgot her old way of speaking. Like if i had to do an impression of drew barrymore war. I could do her for an entire week and then i could. I do for a month. Yeah could do for year. Probably and then. Maybe i'll just forget if it was part of my life if i had to do this just like when somebody became becomes an actor in a really intense movie. They sometimes say i'm not going to get out of this character the entire three months. I'm doing this movie. I'm going to be like this one. It's break time at lunch. I'm gonna. That's what i'm gonna do because that's how i do it so i don't know it just fascinating and then at first ireland defended her and i'm so sick of people bullying you know and being cruel. What do you care and stay at people's lives. You don't know well. I think it's one thing to be an actor and you put yourself out there as an actor but in this day and age. If you're an actor or television personality that also goes and makes a huge presence on instagram. Then i really think you cannot bitch because if you're going to open your life on instagram if you're going to profit from instagram than people do know you those nine hundred thousand people that follow you do feel like they know you and they feel deceived

Well, I'm just going to give you a little teases here and there Lady Gaga talking about becoming friends with Arianna `Grande. My biggest enemy is lady Gaga it was thinking biggest enemy is. In this business, having a female friends like watching paint fly. Which is It's interesting to hear that too, and by the way they're both wearing of face masks. Drew Barrymore confirms rumor that her grandfather's corpse was 'stolen'
"Drew Carey lore has confirmed that her late grandfather, John Berry, more fit one final party into his social schedule after its 1942 death, thanks to some of his friends, So during a Q and a session, Drew was asked the following. Is it true that your grandfather's body was stolen from the morgue by W. C fields, Errol Flynn? And Sada Kichi Hartmann so that they could prop him up against a poker table and throw one last party. Are you kidding? And did she say Yes to that, Colleen. I'm here to say she said yes, And she said not only yes, but there have been cinematic interpretations of that, she said. Related Bernie's. Well, yeah, and also the Blake Edwards film S O B. That's the movie where Julie Andrews takes her top off, she said. That's just brilliant and fun Toe. Oh, my goodness.

Who? Weekly
Who should replace Ellen?
"News is ongoing. Generous. Ongoing News that won't stop are one nemesis might be replaced by our other nemesis. On their talk show the Ellen show. Well, these are that this is them news, but I do feel like Ellen could be replaced with a WHO, if this all comes to fruition or like a WHO thinks so too person because I'm seeing a lot of people nominate various talk show e people although apparently the rumors are like James Corden is going to replace Ellen, but like he has a show so. That makes no sense to me on any. That's what blows my mind. Why he has eight hundred shows. He has just made another daily show like that doesn't make any sense to me at on. The also has carpool. Karaoke. And then he also has the cat sequel like he has plenty, oh. Yeah. Let's replace a supposedly nice person with another supposedly nice person like. Haven't. We learned anything from this thing. These people are Nice. They suck. I think always be wary of people who say their thing is being. I think the number, one person who should clearly replace Allen is Kiki Palmer. There's literally no. Better obvious. Getting a lot of a lot of traction and she showing up a lot of tweets because it's like she just had a talk show that got canceled for no reason on ABC. Well, it was like that one hour of Commerical Strahan. Michael? And Kiki Sarah? There was A. Third Sarah. Sarah. And Michael and Kiki It just give it to clean working it. Just everyone likes he. We Love Kiki. She's a great host. Who else do you think if if we're going if for skewing young? I think we to Kiki for skewing older, I think it should go to fucking the woman who should have gotten David Letterman, amy. Sedaris like give it to amy sedaris because people like her. She's silly. I don't know that, amy, the thing is I. Don't know that Amy Sarah's would want to do that I. Feel like. I don't need that. We're talking about this on the Patriot. If you WANNA. Go listen to that about how drew Barrymore also has daily, show a daytime show coming out, and I'm like who would want this job? Drew Barrymore wants this job since when like it's just to meal a a weird job that you wouldn't want that could turn you or probably. Turn you into a monster, right? Yes. but the to provide a context in case you've been under a rock people are like there. There have been the rumors for years and years and years, but specifically the past few months they've really you know the hit a critical mass and started being reported publicly like Ellen is an asshole to everyone. Ellen is an asshole. The people she works with Ellen makes people not talk to her ellen cruel. But now there are reports by like news and variety and insider that it wasn't just ellen being a to everyone and celebrities and not liking Ellen like being on Ellen show. It's that the executive producers were actually like being abusive like in sexually harassing the employees. So it's like a culture. Culture of toxicity. That is the sort of thing that I don't that Ellen is deciding up allegedly that she doesn't want to deal with anymore. So she's like this sucks like I just rather not do this anymore. Right. So but this rumor, this isn't this is in fact, this is rumor because people keep their keep going back and forth and saying some some sources say she's not leaving this show sums his sources as she's leaving the show. I. Can't imagine somebody as likely a annoyed with the whole situation who is known to be not a very nice person would want to continue to fake be nice and have to apologize and half to like kind of whatever because these rumors have been. Kind of like I for some reason I, keeping you Kevin Spacey Pre the abuse allegations like when everyone knew he was gay, but no one knew he was gay like it was weird thing where it was like if you knew, you knew if you didn't, you had no idea what be totally shocked it. Kind of feels like that type of Hollywood news where like everyone knew that Ellen was secretly mean except for Ellen fans who had no idea where living happily with ellen everyday of their life and like the show was wildly successful, right? very strange. A very strange thing. Do you think that this will happen because people are so bored in their craving, the Gospel, and then somebody just this is this is what I mean I, think it's I mean. It's a combination of a lot of things at one of is like the people finally speaking out about their employers. It's like finally like shutting down like the. The systemic issues and leg, not being corporate America and knowing that people will support them and believe them and believe them, and that like the media machine of Ellen isn't powerful enough to shut down. So many voices if enough come out and and we'll talk about it later in the episode, but it's like the it's similar to the. Vanessa. Morgan thing, it's it's shades of an ESA Morgan being like I'm going to speak up against the riverdale creators and the Riverdale producers because people are people are realizing that they can do that and they won't get like dumped on by the press or of their fans they will be seen as like heroes. But. It's also just like, I, Think Dakota Johnson had a tiny bit to do with it because Dakota Johnsons like Open crubaugh open open. Rudeness to Ellen SORTA. Gave People. I don't know permission to speak about rumors that she's an asshole more openly. They're like, it looks like that's what Dakota's referencing. So I didn't even know you liked me. Of course, I. Like you. You Knew I. Liked you. You've been on the show many times and don't I show like. But I did invite you and you didn't come. So this time you invited me, are you sure? How do you? I don't think. So ask everybody. Jonathan. Your producer. I was that, why didn't I go? I don't know that became a meme. You have people like Brad Garret and who else replied to him. Leah Tom's Tom's joins. She is mean she is. She. Yes. Now, I can't believe I just called the Thomson. So Deutsche US minor. That was obsessed the disease of this show right here. Yeah. Leah Thompson also respond to that and said Yep I mean, I just think that it's like no one was a true story note once you lose grip on the fear, you are the power you had over I mean, and it's funny because then you have scooter Braun coming out her being like Ellen is great. I. Love Allen is like so people still. Look at the people coming out and say L. Like scooters, hedging his bets at this, all go away and back to normal and Ellen will still be powerful and whatever, and then you have people speaking out i. just it's a fascinating reveal of a monolith almost kind of crumbling that you didn't think would ever. Be exposed like this. I didn't. It seems like Palmer is getting a lot of A lot of press over like a lot of tweets being could replace. Ellen is trending key Palmer got a lot. Tiffany haddish. Got A lot that woman who does the like trump impersonations? What's her name? Sarah? Cooper. She got a lot of people tweeting about her I mean, I think it's just bomber just someone who someone who actually. Got Some tweets booing reply Oh doodoo be from drag race also got A. Drag. Race. Got I. saw that. Yeah. But I think he palmer when you when you want someone who has like the resume as well like. You of don't WANNA, pick someone random like Sarah Cooper. As funny as she is on twitter, because like her her her skills as a as an interviewer, not proven whereas Kiki, Palmer is a link interviewer host. Yeah I mean I would say like the Ellen slots, big slot made we just move up the ladder. We get Kelly Clarkson in that slot. We get Drew Barrymore Kelly was and we get key. Palmer. Work. Curse, lot I know these are all people on different network. So it makes literally no sense but you. Better like we. We cannot confuse the audience. We must replace the Ellen show with someone named. Ellen. Ellen Ellen. Page's like don't look at me like another gay. Just like I will not I will. Zone POMPEO, she wouldn't do it. I. Don't I don't need Elon Pale. Ellen Page Ellen Popular, and Never Would Ellen Pompeo every interview Ellen Pao's ever done. It's been like I. Love Grey's Anatomy I. have nothing but free time like. She will never do that. You know who would do it. Who Ellen Barkin? Embark and all Ellen Barkin wants is a soapbox like did someone say soapbox?

Ellen DeGeneres leaves Sarah Paulson in hysterics after series of scares
"Had fun this week preparing for Sarah Paulson to come back. Kevin how much did it cost? I don't do the numbers dead. You spend the numbers some fun ideas. Paid for him. Yeah. We had a wonderful producer name, Melissa scientists, Sarah and she came up. We've scared her first of all we scared her in every way we've ever scared anyone on the. Yes. Ellen in the bathroom at the scare table behind. Her built a special box could scare her during five second rule. So listen, I've been to the house with her when we sent her house. Yeah. So let's camp with some really crazy ideas to scare her. That seem insane. We actually dug out a tunnel underneath Ellen's your idea member that was Mary's idea. I'm hearing now. Dug a tunnel under Ellen's chair, basically. So that Sewri a sub flooring flooring. Well, if you notice the platform of of what we call home base, which is where Ellen chairs are you have to take a couple of steps up to get to them. So there's gotta be some room underneath a little bit of room. So they cleared out some some boards, and we made a tunnel. So Corey could crawl from backstage into that box after Ellen showed her that it was empty. So we open the table to show, Sarah. There's no one in the table to scare right? Then we'd close the table and somebody crawls you guys you guys know what we are suddenly we're kinda like magicians, it was a lot like a little like look there's nothing here. And then suddenly Elissa had an absolutely shame. What to do a ninja dropping from the sky to scare Sarah Paulson? It was so fast. And so startling. It was and the what you really you have in your mind. What you hope that will be. And this didn't disappoint great. So if you wanna see that go check, your DVR's, and and check out this show because because we're podcast, even if we play a clip of screaming, you can't see how it happened. But we're going to play a clip here's quip of screaming. God. Can I open it up? There's nothing in here. Nobody in there guys know what they like to do. Right. Go to yourself now. I'm scared. I know any just scream I did know I saw you look at tiny bit over my shoulder like something happened via nothing's happening. So you do impressions. And you're really good at accents impression. So we're gonna play heads up because you like heads up. Right. I do love ice game. And I like your impressions to I didn't know. I saw you on Jimmy Fallon me doing who. Are you doing Barrymore? Maybe yet. You're just good at impressions. Thanks. All right. So I'm gonna guess who you're doing. And no this. This part. It out. I'm saying play Andy. Okay. All right. This is fun. Okay. Okay. Oh. I don't I come do this very well. But I'm doing all kinds of poses in anonymous staged. Let's go accent NAMA stage. I am yet. Does I have no idea? Oh, I'm round. If you own. What am I doing here on how they really would like to offer some kind of of this Wade we accent? I'm doing a vanity Benji thing with the tool with lots of already. But I don't know who you are. I'm not supposed to be passed and it's an accent. Okay. It's It's not to get. supposed to get. I don't know if it's all right? Let me tell you something. The whole. I wanna say that looks like sit down. All right. Creative. We have to. I know we had to build tunnel and. That's why I was able to it was empty and then he came in during the commercial break.
