"Now? Contempt comfortable? Well for some fine entertainment. Everybody happened. Let's go. I'm ready to go. It's Showtime. Laugesen can dog is it? National saxophone day, and there's no saxophone in the song, but it's as good as here. This's my good. Well, Do you think I am a body? Let's get into this here. We haven't mentioned it all week because I wanted to wait for you. But I was devastated to hear the news of the passing of Sean Connery, The scotus actor best known, of course for his portrayal of James Bond. Being the first thing to bring the role to the big screen, appearing in seven of the James Bond spy thrillers. Now I was saddened because I really like Sean Connery, but I will tell you this can dog and I want to ask the rest of the audience is well, I'm I was never a big James Bond fan. And I don't know which James Bond was considered the great James Bond and enough They're all considered a great the greatest James Bond. But when I hear people talking about James Bond movies I generally will hear people say, you know, I really like Sean Connery and I'm looking through these cheating here, Ken Dog is I don't know half of this stuff, but Daniel Craig against he was the latest one. Then you had Pierce Brosnan, Roger Mohr, Timothy Dalton and tell me if I'm wrong in these George Lazenby. Listen, lays me. Dave Nevin and Barry Nelson. Yeah. Barry Nelson kind of doesn't count. He was on a actually, I want to say CBS or ABC television movie, and he was Jimmy Bond. They made an American. It was actually the first guy to play the role. But this was before you know, Saltzman and broccoli got hold everything and started putting together the actual name, James Bond Pictures and David Nevin. He He was bond. But he was bond in the spoof Casino Royale with Peter Sellers and Orson Welles. So you know, so Yeah, technically, they played bond, but not really. But you know, those kind of obscure facts you pulling up from There've been, I want to say six total actors actually play bond in Syria's yet Connery Lazenby more Dalton. Brosnan and then the current one. Craig, who's goingto whenever they released his last movie will be his last go around. And so, yeah, more. I think fewer people have played bond that have walked on the moon. Oh, wow. Yeah. Yeah, well, you know, Sean Connery is acting career spanned seven decades who want an Oscar at 88 for the Untouchables and You know again. This is an actor that I truly respect. And I remember when the untouchables came out, I was I thought. Oh, my gosh. You're kidding me. This is like a remake of the old television series. The Untouchables. It's Gangsters that Sean Connery Oh, this is right in my wheelhouse, and I watched it when did that come out like in the eighties 97 87 late eighties. I just did not like the movie. You know, I just didn't And to this day I still can't believe it. And then I tried watching it again. I don't know. Maybe 56 years ago, some like that. I said Maybe it was in a bad mood at that time, maybe just was not in the mood. I watched again and still I come away going now. I I just don't care for this movie, but he wins. The the Oscar for his role in the Untouchables. Right Best supporting actor. Oscar is only Oscar, but it's kind of one of those roles. He's playing a mentor. Which you know, kind of worked in his favor as he reinvented himself in the eighties. You know, he had some great stuff in the seventies. Robin Marien, the man who would be king stuff like that, but In the eighties. He just kind of reinvent himself. It's kind of the sexy senior citizen. I mean, you know, the guy was named sexiest man alive by People magazine in his sixties. You know, whatever. I remember talking to. You know, when I was going to college there were you know women My age are like, Well, you know who's the Tessa, and they're like, Oh, Sean Connery just does it for me in his sixties? Yeah, Like really Okay. Cool, you know, gives hope stow the rest of us who didn't have a traditional You know, my always things I'm going to Sean Connery around. I'm going to be sexier when I'm 70 than I am when I'm 30. And that was That was the whole thing, you know, and you'll have to do it with a brogue. Uno. No good, good good and his His being able to stay relevant and being able to say in pretty good shape. You know, dude was throwing punches convincingly in the seventies and in 2000 for the his last film Buddy That was the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which was a comic book adaptation. That he had trouble He was frustrated with Hey, had trouble with the director in trouble. Filming delays, Big old Storm and Progress Traitors Hotel really only got out with golf clubs. You know, it was just one of those films and he just kind of threw his hands up in the air afterwards that it was a combination of things that Don't need it anymore, and he walked away. But it's funny. You should say that that you know you're really saddened Guy died in his sleep in 90 in the Bahamas, which I think is not a bad way to go commit on the scene. It's a good pen in over 15 years and yet because his legacy hey made such an impression, not just his bond. You know he was Indiana Jones. Dad. You know all of those things. He was still very much in the forefront of the public consciousness. Even after 15 years, I was like, Oh, my God, he's gone..

"You're forgetting the biggest problem of why he couldn't be Jean because he's not British. You know the first James Bond wasn't British. Who was the first time in God? Oh, hells with everyone. I think Barry, Barry McGuire, Barry Nelson. People First. The person starts. He remembers Barrymore. Barry Nelson. Sure, I'm sure it was him. He was the first James Bond. Hey, At least he has that He was the first James Bond and The first Felix Leiter was English and then bond became English and lighter became American. I call the Yoo No lighter is right now. Felix Leiter. Felix Leiter was the guy who basically He was always bragged. He was Bond's ah, operator or everyone. H each movie a different job. Q. Was the guy who developed the bond technology or them over M M was the Moss? Yeah. Q. Developed the technology. And lighter was his contact where we went, Jack Lord. Former Steve McGarrett and Hawaii. 50 played lighter in Dr No. Bernie Casey played lighter. The Rams receiver in one movie, but Felix Leiter was always It is a matter of fact. There was one movie. I came in the name of it, Um more tomorrow Never dies tomorrow. Die tomorrow. Something like that. But I again tomorrow? Yes, Something like that on and lighter gets lighter gets messed up Really bad and move our is going out full in the move on bond is out to avenge lighter. And his nemesis. He's in a struggle with the nemesis and the nemesis is covered in fuel. For whatever reason I got on a moving plane on bond is like they're in the struggle and bond says through him, You know? Don't you want to know why I did it? And he flicks the lighter and throws it at him. And the guy was out of movie didn't even make the lighter pun. He just left the lighter. Speak for itself. Idea. Don't you want to know why I did it? And he flicks the lighter and please give me the terrible pun on the name. I want you to do a 3101.5. I gotta ask this now, First of all, how do you feel? About the about theater's closing, leaving New Jersey. Would you care? I mean, do you still go to the movies? What's the last movie that you've seen in a theater? Does anybody still go to the movies? "All right. Okay well I don't have to agree on that. Oh okay well. Let's go with your last pick. I'm going to be open minded. I'm not looking at thrashes. Go ahead while I definitely need to pick something I don't know if it's in the middle. Or where is it? But I I picked a movie that you and I saw together with our mom and it's She couldn't wait to take you And I mean I was not into this kind of stuff but like well you know why not but it's the shining and I was to really. I mean. My daughter is same age as I was mildest. Then there's no way I would let her watch that. I mean it's but the thing about the shining that's really that is okay with me is that there's a lot of comedy in a Jack. Nicholson is he's. He's great to watch as from an acting perspective. It's you really learn how a person becomes very subtly very gradually insane. He begins to lose his mind. That's where it's problem. I don't agree with Stephen. King doesn't agree with it either. Jack Nicholson seems crazy from the minute you seep away. But he is crazy. Look it's not lb he unravels. I like it in terms of watching that because it's fun to watch that now. The thing is he's crazy all along. It's just that he's not able to contain it. I don't think he's I think he just. He begins to LET HIS GUARD DOWN. Or it's just hard for him to mask the insanity that's fine but there's but again just like m night. Shyamalan with the Sixth Sense. There's certain scenes in there and there's that scene. I don't want to give it away. But it's one of my favorite scenes is the first seen in the office between him and the gentleman that is interviewing him for that job to be. Air Taker was very Nelson. Yeah Yes yes And it's and he says And Barry Nelson says him. Now you do know just so you know. The last caretaker had problems in went kind of nuts in hacked up the people that were here he can and Jack. Nicholson just gives a nod. That is so brilliant as an actor. He's just gives them the old well. Rest assured that's not gonNA happen here. I when he did that. Hook line and sinker. I was for that movie no matter what was GonNa Happen. It just sucked me in. And then the fact that Scatman cruthers is in this movie and plays just a real kinda crazy character Allah. I got Shaman or something. And he's got special powers. Well yes the shining little boy he has to live. That's how they connect. It's just amazing. Amazing I don't love it. I I have always thought that is a good movie. And not a great pouvien. I have that movie I have to be in the mood to watch it. And it can be painfully slow. I'm just the Kubrick is one of those guys that I really respect. I don't necessarily really like. I'm not a huge fan of his P probably SAM nutsy genius. He was which I find him to be hard to watch and very slow at times that this is a film. This is not a film where shot for shot. You don't WanNa Miss Anything. It's just that great. I kind of feel the same way but boy the way he does make a film look the way he creates scenes I mean maybe it's not on the top fifty of AF is list of the greatest films but I got news for you when he goes through that door in his head pops through most people know what that image is is trump. Well yeah he's masterful. I I don't know I just think one I probably hadn't even occurred to me to pick the shining and yeah it definitely sets the scene. Well I mean I don't want to say that it doesn't mean it's very. It's very isolated where you feel you feel the mass of -ness of the hotel and yet there's just people in there and it's so massive and it looked so cold up there and freezing. Yes it you definitely you definitely feel. Kinda lost yourself but I just For me it's never really it's just not one of my favorite are films in could fully recommend it so but okay fair enough. You could argument. Yeah I will mean case when I think about it. There's actually there's I. We made some honorable. Mentions obviously but there's definitely films that I found it kind of interesting. I remember when pet cemetery came out. I think it was like thousand nine hundred ninety somewhere in there and I just love. It's really cool kind of film. I mean I didn't like the The cemetery and the animals and the growly and all that stuff anything. That's like Grizzly like people laugh at I. Yeah I those pretty scary film I. It is hard fan doing that. I think that would be my just but It's a good movie and of course they remained it 'cause they thought they could make a few extra bucks which is sad. But that's what I just wish you know. I didn't cop out and I didn't pick parody films that like young Frankenstein or the screen parody. 'cause I say all that's a cop out. Jeff you didn't go. Oh there s you would have failed but no overall pretty good and I had a feeling you were gonNA push outside to lambs because I know you just jaw. You don't care if anyone out here is listing. All the people that are listening. Don't watch that film. I know we're going to watch it. Haven't seen it. Then it got by them. You'll regret it. Trust me doesn't turn out well. Well Okay No. It doesn't do us. No but mostly scared films have really to. They don't really have anything you know and I'll tell you what there's another thing if I can't comfortably ease during a film then I know it's not a pill that I wanNA watch. I mean I don't know if I could eat during these these types of Films Popcorn and candy. I do not know the problem. I'm fine with it. We're just different different different makeup Aren't well this was fun. This was enjoyable. It was fun pits. Thank you and I appreciate you watching the black cat and Glad you enjoyed it. I did It it is. It's it's a fun little flick. It definitely Nice Halloween flick to if you're in the mood for some satanism go for it So happy Halloween. Everybody Happy Halloween. And it's kind of ironic, I guess that I'm hosting the show and we're talking about women's health for February. We're talking about heart health for women. Yeah. That's great. I love John. But I'm glad to be talking with you about this little yapper women's health. It's kind of nice. So you have an annual open house coming up at the Carignan center. Talk about that. I as on Friday February first from ten AM to two PM and this year. Our theme it's going to be eighty s who radio much because we're basing everything office statistic showing that since one thousand nine hundred eighty four every year since then more women than men have been dying from heart disease. We want to reverse that trend. Well, that seems shocking to me why is that so shocking for people? Do you think? Well, I think a lot of people don't think of heart disease. First of all is something women get and it's actually the number one health threat in women a lot of women saying cold. I mean, they're worried about breast cancer, and he should be worried about that too. But they think more women die from that. And actually ten times more women die from heart disease and breast cancer. It's one in three for heart disease, one in thirty for breast cancer. So let's talk about some of the signs and symptoms of a heart attack in women that can be different than what we see in men very much though. And that's often why women either get under diagnosed or misdiagnosed because their signs are a lot more subtle for an impending heart attack. And usually these things are. Are seen within like three to four weeks before a heart attack occurs. So sometimes women do get the clutching chest pain, you see in movies and on TV. But really there's kind of five main red flags you wanna look for for women the more subtle signs. So the first one is really kind of new or dramatic fatigue. So if you thinking about making the bed something really simple like that. And you're just way too exhausted to do that some women describe it as having like a heavy chest kind of feeling too. Okay. Or if it's really just you feel really tired all the time. But yet you still can't sleep. So that's a big one second one is shortness of breath or sweating without exertion. So that's one important to obviously when you exercise or you're doing something at a higher intensity, you should feel that but just doing normal everyday activities again women might experience that third one is nausea vomiting. Indigestion flat women are told they have Harper. Seems like very common symptoms that you wouldn't even trigger that thought in your mind that oh I could have an impending heart attack. Something else happens sometimes five week three to four weeks three to four weeks before you even have. So usually there's a couple of these going along together. See probably don't need to panic. Start feeling maybe you have some of these symptoms. Just contact your doctor. Oh, absolutely, especially if it continues couple of other symptoms, just a mansion back pain, neck pain, Japan, especially lower left, jaw women might get that as well. And then the last one is dizziness feeling light headed that kind of thing. Okay. So keep those in mind, what are some ways women can prevent heart disease. Lots of ways so up to eighty percent of heart disease can be prevented and this goes for both men and women so while are signs and symptoms may be different preventing it or doing these living a healthy lifestyle is really the best way to either prevent them or prevent further heart problems from occurring. So we go back to quitting smoking. That's one of the top ones eating healthy things. We know how. We don't regularly. It's just trying to put these things into practice. If your blood pressure's high. Let's get that under control. If you're fasting blood sugar levels are creeping up. Let's get those down. Okay. So doing as many of those things you can get in cholesterol down managing stress. So finding ways that you can bring that down as well. So if people want more information on this where can they go Heather, well, absolutely. They can contact us in the Carignon's women's cardiac awareness center. We have a Facebook page you can find out about the event or if you have questions and heart disease. You can also.
