The Sacramento Kings made the NBA playoffs this year for the first time since 2006. It was 16 plus years, which means the jets now have the longest active playoff drought in major North American sports. They haven't made the playoffs since 2010, one of the last 12 plus seasons been like for you to cover them. Well, not only have they not made the playoffs, but they've only had one winning season during that span is 2015 where they went ten and 6 and then came up short at the very end. So it's been 12 years of constant upheaval, both head coaching wise, quarterback wise. This is a franchise that endured two years of Adam Gase, which must have been pure hell for jet fans to go through. He was like their modern day ridge coat type. And so it's been hard because only 12, 13 years ago, it looked like the jets were going to be perennial contenders under Rex Ryan, you know, they made the AFC championship game two years in a row and you're thinking, okay, young quarterback, Mark Sanchez, we've got a real future and then the bottom dropped out, just lack of talent, poor coaching, poor, general managing, and here we are, 12 years later, leave it to the jets to hire Adam Gase after a couple of losing seasons in Miami, right? I mean, it's not like they couldn't get a look at him up close in those scenarios. Yeah, I mean, they actually won 7 games Adams first year. People tend to forget that because of what happened, the following year where they go, what was it, one in 15 or two and 14 actually, two and 14. 2014 and actually didn't lose enough to get Trevor Lawrence, so that was just another kick in the rear for jet fans. All right, but now a 39 year old Aaron Rodgers is going to descend upon New York and the jets currently have the 6th best odds to win the Super Bowl this coming season. What's that like as a reporter going from covering a team that was dealing with all sorts of quarterback issues to now covering a contender? It's changed. You could just feel the narrative change around the building just from watching the players on social media just outwardly lobbying for Rogers as if he's their savior. I mean, sauce gardener burning cheese head in a backyard barbecue pit is sort of some sacrifice, you know, to get Rogers to come. Not only is this the first time we burn the cheese here, this is our first time lighting a fire pit in it. And you know we can do it. Look at the cheese, it's Milton. Cheese sauce, bro look. It's toning of the cheese sauce though. The expectations, of course, have risen dramatically, as you just mentioned with the Super Bowl odds. And so it'll be different. It'll take me back to 2010 when the jets were considered pretty good. And so now I think they're pretty good again. What does that mean for Zach Wilson though? Because I mean, you see in all your teammates basically openly pining for another quarterback. What's his future now? Yeah, that has to be really, really hard. Not only pining for Aaron Rodgers during the off season, they weren't pining for Mike white during the season last year showing up to games wearing Mike white t-shirts. That had to be really hard for Zach as well. His future is right now as their number two quarterback. You know, he's got two more years on his contract. The jets say publicly that they want to keep him. They want to continue to develop him. What's going to happen in two years? If Aaron Rodgers sticks around for two years, Zach Wilson will be a free agent. He will probably go elsewhere. I personally believe that Zach Wilson will never be the jet starting quarterback again. Even in the post Rogers era, I think he needs a change of scenery and I think if you asked him and he would be truthful, he would admit the same thing. Jets Jim Joe Douglas had his pre draft press conference on Tuesday, but unsurprisingly, the draft really wasn't the focus of that conversation. What did he say about Rogers then? Obviously confirming that the trade is in place. Ultimately, our goal from the beginning was to add Aaron to the team. And so we were able to get that degree to terms of that yesterday. And just excited to get him here. They have to few things to work out, but this trade obviously is happening. There's still some eyes to be dotted teased to be crossed to ultimately finalize everything, but again, it was a lot of conversations. He's very excited. We're obviously excited about this opportunity side relatives deal and the excited to add him to the team. He called him an all time great. Aaron's one of the one of the best quarterbacks to ever play this game to have an opportunity to add a player of that caliber. You're always going to look into it and how it fits within our culture within our team. He thinks he can galvanize this very young jet roster. They do have some really talented young players like sauce gardener and Garrett Wilson, so he was very upbeat about that. There is a quite a few young talented exciting players on this roster that are first second, third year players, so I feel like the way we jumped out last year, a lot of those young men proved that they were, they were ready to answer the call. And I know it's cliche, but day by day, we're just trying to stack those bricks. But, you know, there were a couple of questions that went unanswered. And to me, that's kind of the big story. He was asked how many years do you think Rogers will play? And he said, I don't want to put it any words in air's mouth and you guys are going to have the opportunity at the right time to ask him those specific questions. He was also asked if baron Rogers will participate in the off season program. Do you expect him to be part of the all season program which is going forward? You'll get to say I wouldn't want to put any words into air's mouth as we know all of these workouts right now. This time of year involuntary. So again, at the right time, you guys will be able to talk to him about that. We know that Aaron Rodgers does not do this in Green Bay. He sort of hung out in California during the voluntary workouts and so two questions that remain unanswered, especially the first one is the key one. The jets gave up a lot of compensation for Aaron Rodgers and it would be too much in my opinion if he only plays one year. Of course, if they go to the Super Bowl, then it changes everything. But for one year, that's a lot to give up. The jets fans have a little maybe PTSD because of how it worked out with Favre where he was only there for one season? The thing is that's a very interesting point because there's a lot of parallels between the far situation and Rogers. We knew and I think jet fans knew that Favre was one and done. Brett Favre of honestly didn't even want to come to the jets. He wanted to go to Minnesota Vikings. They wouldn't take them. The packers wouldn't trade him there. So the jets were like a one way stop over the way to Minnesota. So I think he kind of came here very reluctantly, whereas Rogers wants to be here. And he's made that very clear for the last few weeks. And so is there some fallout from that? Maybe the far thing ended badly, his arm basically fell off at the end of the year. He tore a bicep muscle he couldn't throw the team lost their last few games and fell out of the playoff race and everybody got fired. So the jets probably in the back of their minds, some of the older Jeff fans are dreading another scenario like that. And when you have a 39 year old quarterback, you just never know. I mean, it's injuries happen. So it's part of the

"And I'm not, I'm not saying that. I'm just saying, it's a really long time since he's tasted or been able to lead a team to a Super Bowl. And so that for me is the biggest issue and meanwhile, he's holding all of his hostage in the process. And that's another Brett Favre parallel. One championship in 96. Early. Earlier early when he left and that was 12 years, is there a Rogers thing is 13 years since he'd won that championship? I think the argument that he was hurt was okay. My counter argument to the two time MVP deserves the benefit of the doubt. You know who else is the two time MVP? Steve Young. But you know what the problem is, he's old. The problem is Steve Young is old. And the problem is baron Rogers is not much younger at this point. Then Steve Young is. It's the same thing in basketball with LeBron, where it's just like, oh, LeBron's going to be back in a couple of weeks. Yeah, for how long. He owe, this is what happens to old things. Was I get this baby out of the shop. It's going to be good as new. Oh, damn. The window, the windows switch messed up again, right? That's where it goes, but look, here's why I am really down for him to go to the jets. And I don't like all this other stuff the same way. You don't like it, but I'm cool with it. I have lived in this city for 6 years now. The football teams have been wholly uninteresting before this year and the jets to me were interesting. The Giants were better, but I didn't find them interesting. But football here has been entirely uninteresting, really, for over a decade, like probably since the 2011 giants won the championship because think about and this is my thought about oda Beckham in his time with the Giants and all the hill that he called for the media and everything else. They would have liked him a lot more if they were an interesting team because then he would have just kind of been part of the Tapestry of what it was, but he was the only thing worth talking about. Not necessarily the only thing worth watching, but the only thing we're talking about and then the only thing to talk about really is he's mortality than you and your girl probably want to slide them a little something. And don't nobody really want to talk about that. No, you're right. It's been more than just not good on the field. They've been completely irrelevant off of it too, right? For both of those teams. And so like I said, I don't begrudge the jets trying to make this move for Aaron Rodgers. I just begrudge the whole idea that you're sort of standing here orchestrating. I want this person and I want that person and I want this person. His energy is just clearly no one has ever been able to sort of get to Aaron Rodgers and be like, the way that you deliver things is just so off putting. And you know, we've had people this last week on SportsCenter and other places on ESPN, and they're like, oh, I think Aaron Rodgers actually had a really great fit for New York because like, you know, he doesn't care what people say.

"You know, all these things are happening. And this is a league den where 5 years ago, ten years ago. There weren't trades, nobody was trading. These things didn't happen. Yeah, you'd have the offhand occurrence where somebody at Carson Palmer became available or Brett Favre would end up being traded to the jets, but it wasn't a regular basis where last year we had. I want to say it was ten trades involving Pro Bowl players in a two week or 17 day span. Now all of a sudden you're once again talking about all these quarterback dominoes leaning on one another. The moment the first one falls and we'll see what happened with Derek Carr, but quite possibly that will be Aaron Rodgers declaring his intentions once that happens. I would anticipate a lot of these other things. We begin to move swiftly. What kind of leverage does Derek Carr have? Chair cars leverage is that he's a free agent. These other guys were talking about, you need to trade for them. So, you know, if you're looking at Derek Carr versus Jimmy Garoppolo, who is one more game, been to more playoffs than one more playoff games in Derek Carr, but also has been hurt substantially more. The Derek Carter is career, so you're evaluating him. Your evaluating Baker Mayfield, your potentially evaluating Daniel Jones, who will be shocking if the Giants did not end up franchise tagging him if they can't work out a long-term deal here. So the question you have to ask yourself if you're Derek Carr and his agency younger is our best offer going to come right now. Do we have an offer we feel comfortable taking? Because potentially, if Aaron Rodgers goes back to Green Bay, now all the seats are open and we've got all the leverage. Baron Rogers gets himself traded and Lamar gets himself traded. Now, it's the best seat there for Derek Carr. And so there's definitely a strategy to this entire thing. His leverage is, I'm available now. You can get me now and solve all your problems and you don't have to give up a pick to get me.

"Watch the fight, if I said, yo, kavina. over. What do you want to eat? If you said to me, yo bro, I'm telling you, looking at you in the eyes. And I'm telling you, I don't know what I want to eat. And I'm like, yeah, but we can order some Mexican food, get some nachos. I don't know. Dude, we can't pizza? I'm telling you, bro I don't know. How about some wings? I can order some buffalo wild wings or Hooters. This sounds like the conversation I have with my girlfriend every night. I don't know. I'll just pick something. Yeah, Camino. Tell me, what do you want to eat? Bro, I'm telling you. I'm looking at you. I don't know. And then someone else hits me up and they go. You know, inside scoops as the covino wants nachos. And then we're like, yeah, this guy said cavina wants nachos. I'm gonna run with that story. Well, how does inside scoop know if I don't even know? That's the whole narrative with Aaron Rodgers. And by the way, the evidence is right here in front of our face. I'm looking up at the guys on a four day darkness retreat because he clearly doesn't have any clarity in his life. He's telling me that he has his mind made up, absolutely not. He's in a cave looking for answers. Clearly, the guy doesn't know his decision yet. He's in a cave. He emerged yesterday. And he saw his shadow. And he saw shadow, so 6 more weeks of his decision. 6 more weeks of not knowing. If Aaron Rodgers went on record like a week ago before he went in the cave and was like, yo, I'll do respect to Adam Schefter and dude. Rappaport. Rappaport is like, yo, they're good at what they do, but they don't know squat about what I'm doing. If he knew and had clarity and had the answers, he would not be in a cave for four days. So when you look up on the screen and on ESPN, FS1, CBS, if you look at it all the sports TV shows and radio shows and everyone's speculating, Aaron Rodgers next move, your three year old kid has just as good a guess. I should ask my son Ben. Hey, little buddy. Got that? Where is Aaron Rodgers going? Is he going to the moon? That's a possibility to play with dinosaurs. So little guy. The jets, the Raiders, or Green Bay, T. Rex. T. Rex. No, no, buddy. The jets, the Raiders. Gets bluey. Kids will always go with the first option to give them. Inside sources say, who's the inside sword? Oh, rich is three year old. Louie. Said the jets. My three year old has the same level of insight as Ian rap report. Damn, as Michael rappaport, as any rappaport, because Aaron Rodgers is looking us in the eyes and saying, I don't know what I want for dinner. And we're telling you, yeah, I heard he wants a pizza. He honestly. He doesn't know. Yeah, he honestly says it without saying like, hey man, I'm doing exactly. And last year, remember all his tales are gone. He can't use these. Oh, Aaron Rodgers got his house cleaned in Wisconsin. That's already done. Aaron Rodgers moved back to Green Bay. That's already done. So you can't really, there's no more telltales. So he had to go dark. Listen, I'm not insulting any other show or broadcasters or anything, but I find it amusing that at this point, I get it. It's fun to speculate, we do it every day. It's a lot of fun. We love sports. We love talking shop. But when the guy himself comes out and says, attention world, nobody knows. Because I don't know. The janitor. We kind of decipher that. It's too hard to walk away from 60 meals. I know, but you know that most people could take a good guess on is that he's going to play period. He's still going to play. He's going to be. But my feeling is about it. My feeling that is, if he wasn't going to play, I feel like there would have been some insinuations or he would have alluded to like, well, there's a chance I don't even play. I feel like Danny, we're talking off the air. Now we'll speculate like idiots. Is it really Green Bay stay put and spots it before? It's funny because there's two reports. They hate them and the other report is they love them. Is it the Raiders? Is it the jets? Are those the only options? Is it other four options? Retire, Green Bay, jets, raiders, or is there another option? Is there a sniper? Yeah, none of us know. Like what you've been saying. There could be a team that comes out of nowhere. Tennessee. You should be an option by itself. Yeah, Tennessee, by the way, could say, hey, we're going to Tannehill can be out the mix and Tennessee can make room and say, we're all going to look at each other like Tennessee. I don't see that coming. Off the air, we're saying how Tampa Bay, that wasn't necessarily the league leader for Tom Brady. When Tom Brady, we thought, oh, the Raiders, maybe in the niners, maybe no one thought Tampa Bay. So my point is, and I'm not trying to contradict myself by even speculating. None of us know, yes, it's fun to talk about, but any insider that's like you made the best analogy without even realized that any insider that thinks they know has the same credibility as the janitor from Billy Madison. What makes you think I didn't realize it? I'm the one that said, I'm just telling you how good it was. So people have said shut up. There's been so many people say money's not a factor, but when they finally make their decision, the money was in there somewhere. Oh yeah. Money, lifestyle, next stage of his life. Location, all of these things are fact. I mean, I get it because when you deal with that much money, people love to, you know, people love to spend other people's money. Like, spot, you love to do that to me. I'm like redoing part of my house and spots like, what you should get is those huge doors that fold into each other. It's about like you should get those. I'm like, yeah, they're also 50 grand. So maybe our next FSR contract. People love to spend other people's money or people love to say, yeah, well, who cares? He doesn't need it. If you're Aaron Rodgers, are you gonna be like, well, I could get like 60 mil, but hey, like 40s good enough because, you know, I got a lot. Man. No one's leaving 20 mil or 5 mil or two mil on the table. Are you kidding me? I guess none of us know is my point. Oh, it is no one else. Not to take the fun out of the rumors, but he doesn't Aaron Rodgers doesn't have the final say on this. He doesn't have a no trade clause. The packers are going to deal him to whoever give the packers the best package for him. All right, so it's not like, does he want to play in New York? Does he want to play in Vegas? They don't care. They're not going to do him any favors. You think he would pull a Gronk, meaning remember when Gronk, the rumor was that at some point in his career, he was going to be traded to the Lions. Sorry, Joel. And Gronk said, well, if you do that, I'll just retire. He can't do that, right? Yeah. So he'll be a darkness shaman. You know what? He could do like ayahuasca tours. It could be a guy, yeah. A spiritual guide for people. We say it in jest. But what if Aaron Rodgers post career? You know how Tom Brady's going to the booth and other people start businesses, a lot of athletes open up restaurants or car washes. What if Aaron Rodgers goes into the wellness world? Opens up opens up a chain of caves in ayahuasca experiences dark rooms. What a baron Rogers goes the spiritual world. I think that would be great. Opens a bunch of like it ain't no 60 million

"Valuable player in the game. But he's got a long way to go. A long way to go to get to Tom Brady. Now, he may have Joe Montana in his sights right now, and I could certainly understand that. But let's just, there's a lot that can happen. Because we look at it foregone conclusion that he got Andy Reid. He's got these weapons. He's, of course, he's going to be there. I mean, they're going to go back. They're going to go back and back and back. Okay. AFC is tougher than the NFC. The eagles actually, I think, have a better chance to go back than the chiefs do. Just because look at the NFC, who do you really worry about, the NFC? Cowboys? Rams? Bucket ears, packers? Vikings? Lions? Who is really threatening? And then you look at the AFC and you're like, oh my God. You Bengals aren't going anywhere. I mean, they're going to be good. Buffalo is going to be good. If the Raiders get baron Rogers, I mean, chargers going to get good. Jacksonville is good. There's a lot of the best quarterbacks in the AFC right now. And even though Kansas City should be the favorites in DraftKings has them as the favorites to win it all next year. Look at the AFC. The NFC, the niners? I guess? If they figure out their quarterbacking situation, but then is Brock purdy a fluke, can Trey Lance play. Can you have both? So there's a lot of questions that go along with the AFC in trying to come back. But the NFC, you got a couple of teams. But that's it. Yeah, Mark. Does Joe Montana get credit for playing in a really tough NFC because you kind of look, they played good giants team bears, the then called Redskins, cowboys, that whole era just seemed like they were just a bunch of dogs over there. Yeah, I mean, that was pretty tough. If you won the NFC, it felt like you won the Super Bowl. Back then. And then he of course went on to win four, didn't lose. And I think we rarely talk about Joe Montana's stats. All we do is say, wait, one four super bowls, and never threw an interception. That's it. So four games stand alone for Joe Montana. Joe Montana was a feeling. If you watched him play there was a feeling about him that he was going to win the game. That's it. Joe Montana Joe cool he was going to win the game. And how many quarterbacks have we said that about over the years? Over the course of a larger sample size. Like obviously Brady, mahomes is in that category now. Where you go, that guy's going to win. There's a feeling about him, where if he gets the ball, game on the line, he's going to win the game. And Joe Montana was one of the first quarterbacks that I remember having that feeling. It was like this dread, your team was facing his. And you're like, oh my gosh. And when the Bengals played them and Joe let him down and threw the touchdown to John Taylor. I mean, it was inevitable. You just went, house is going to happen. It's going to really hurt. How's he going to do this to us? And he did it, you know, systematically. Like, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Touchdown John Taylor ball game. Patrick Mahomes is like that now. Tom Brady was like that now. Very, very few quarterbacks. Yeah, Paul. Remember the eagles patriots are both years ago, eagles take the lead. They're up 38, 33 on the Patriots. Brady gets a ball back with two 20 to go in a timeout. And I can remember we were in the stands, the four day nets, mclovin was there and he's an eagles fan. He goes, well, this is over. Brady's got two and a half minutes and a timeout, and he only email only needs 5 points. And if Brenda Graham doesn't get that strip stack, you're like, well, Brady's gonna do this. Yeah. Afterthought. Yeah, and so I'm handing out the trophy that night, and I'm back behind Brady at the goalpost because they're going to bring out a stage there in that end zone. And I'm watching that from behind because I'm thinking Brady is going to win this thing. And then I'm going to have to change who I'm interviewing up on stage. In my mind, I'm thinking this. You know, two and a half minutes to go and I'm thinking, that's an eternity. And Brandon Graham gets the strip sack and then that was it. Then it was fly eagles fly. Also, the ratings went up when Rihanna went up on stage for halftime. I think it was one O 8, and then she might have been responsible for 5 million people watching the halftime show, because you already had the football people. They're already watching. Well, I mean, if deshaun Watson got $230 million and has essentially done nothing in the league, plus has just gobs of bags. Yes, you do. Gobs of bag is great band. Ladies and gentlemen, gobs of baggage. I would, if I was to say Jalen hurts, agent, I'd say, okay, so let's start at two 30 and go up from there. Because he's already been he's actually accomplished things in the league. He doesn't have all of that baggage. See, if I was the eagles, I would say to his agent, two 30, going to the dentist today. Yeah. Just to be able to have a little levity there. We want that's why I went with two 50. Two 30. Oh, does all right? You better go to a dentist. It is easy to kick around a quarter of a $1 billion when you're making like a little corny jokes. I think they kind of like it. Well, he's making a million. Jalen hurts made a $1 million this year. Yeah, a million. That total seller was a million. Bryce young in Alabama through NIL made more than Jalen hurts did this year. There's a few football players in God. Caleb Williams made more money than Jalen hurts did. But if you said two 50, okay, so are we looking at Lamar Jackson? Yes. What's the delivery? Because I'm having fun. Okay. Jalen hurts. Lamar Jackson. Who else? You're gonna go Daniel Jones in there? I don't know that he belongs in that, but he belongs to this poll because that's what the Giants are dealing with. Okay. All right, 'cause they didn't pick up his 5th year option. What are you off the pot with him? So we take Joe burrow off the board. Yeah, right? I feel like he takes Kyler Murray off the board too 'cause he's already under country. Yeah. What about tua? Don't just go those four. Jalen Lamar Daniel tua.

"Drove me nuts. It's the cousin of the Twitter react story that I hate so much. Oh, the Mavericks, the Mavericks get an eliminator from the playoffs. Here's Twitter reacting. I do that all the time though. I have to be fair. I don't want to act like I'm above that. That one I do, but go ahead. I just think I just think it manufacturers narratives that aren't necessarily there, because if you look at ten people in your feed saying, oh, this is Luca's fault that they're out of the playoffs. If you maybe scroll ten people down, you find ten people will say it's coaching or ten people who say it's Mark Cuban, whatever. I take issue with that sometimes less like, I mean, sometimes you'll just see like, this happened, Twitter's got jokes. That's what I, yeah. I'm thinking the list when I did a couple of weeks on Monday Night Football, ESPN did that John Krasinski thing. And I the next day my column was, here's how Twitter reacted to that. But yeah, the thing about this player caused that I'll stay away from Twitter reaction. Or just like Twitter, Twitter murders blank for saying this. And it's like, well, maybe it's just a lot of people reacting their feet. That to me, just like manufacturing consensus by using people you know is tweets. That's what offends me. And so this idea and it was always presented as this redditor has an epic theory on Tom Brady and it's like, you did no fact checking. It was shot down almost immediately. Did you call Fox before this? 'cause I bet you didn't would. Fox is just sitting around waiting for you. And these are legitimate outlets. I mean, you know, legitimate people who cover and I always say this all the time when we're talking about the ringer. We're credentialed for the Super Bowl. Worker M children NFL facilities, we're credentialing these places. We have to carry ourselves like we can't just throw shit up against the wall, because we have to face these people. Right. And so, and luckily, everyone who writes for us also has to do that. We don't have, I think, part of this and this is kind of case by case as far as the outlook goes. I think a lot of outlets have people who go out and do the sort of reporting in person or make calls or whatever. And then the aggregators who just sort of take what those people do and summarize it. And those people can be more liberal with the facts, basically, as far as just saying, okay, here's what they really meant to say, whatever, whereas we can't say this, right? Right. And I remember a couple of years ago, I did a piece of baron Rogers. And he had said something in it and I was like, our social team was like, can we take this and make it a cool car? And I was like, let's not make any quote cards. I don't want to sensationalize it. Like whatever, let's just do it. So I'm going to report immediately makes it a quote card. And it got like, what are like a 120,000 retweets or something? Like it was like the Ellen selfie from the Oscars. It was unbelievable. And so people who can just take whatever. I don't want to get into the whole reporting thing. I know exactly where you're coming from. I could not agree so much. That do not do the bare minimum. You don't have to be credentialed to email fox or the bucks and say, what is this true? And I'm not even all I'm asking for is a little common sense every now and then. Like take a step back and go, okay, a person that nobody knows went on Reddit and said Tom Brady's on the mess singer. Maybe we should not really act like this is real. That's all. I forget the report. That's all I'm asking for. Just take a step back and say, what are we doing here? What are we doing? But, you know, I let's end it with something positive. Because you had a take recently that I think is one of the best takes I've ever seen. Now, normally, it's always fun when someone has a bad take and you can argue and go back and forth. But I just come and praise because you're a take about hot chocolate, it needs to be amplified. Thank you. And supported and as winter comes, it's a take that everyone needs to really understand and get behind. So I believe, and also, by the way, this is not a shot at water. Not a shot of water. But I believe that hot chocolate should be the second most popular drink. In the world with beer being number one. You almost view, by the way, water is almost an essential service, okay? That's not a drink. It's not a drink. It's not necessity. Also, it's not even that popular. Like if you're someone saying, what do you want? If you're getting water, you're not going for teas, okay? So I just think we haven't done enough. With hot chocolate, it's an amazing drink. It tastes great all the time. And people were coming at me and saying, oh, it's not caffeinated. It doesn't give me the shakes. I need my rocket fuel. And I'm saying, this is a resource problem. Because if we give in, it's also people being super problem because again, it's this concept where you can't have two thoughts at once. You can enjoy and need your coffee and you can still understand that hot chocolate needs to be more popular. And we could innovate, we could have caffeinated hot chocolate in some way. That can be your first drink in the morning if you need it to be. Think about all of the things Starbucks and boutique coffee shops have done for coffee. We're making it ice that we're adding this and we're adding pumpkin spice. There's been no innovation on hot chocolate fast. No. You mentioned Starbucks, I'll just say one thing. They have done peppermint hot chocolate and it's fine. I saw people mention that and they were a couple other takes and twists on that, but I saw in my mentions because it went vaguely viral. It was more it was more replies actually than quote rates. People just either saying it was great or saying no. Most of the arguments about caffeine. But we gotta take hot chocolate to the next level. But if you just give my take in the original street was if you just give it 10% of the real estate, the coffee has in this country. Amazing things would happen. Agree. When you get hot chocolate, if you get a hot chocolate out, forget making it home. If you get it out, whipped cream or no whipped cream. Well, I'm going no. Me too. Whipped cream is a distraction. But I just want to get to the chocolate. And everything is, it's already caloric. You got to watch it. If you're going to drink a lot of hot chocolate over a winter, unless you're running marathons, you get to watch it. So I'm going with our whipped cream. And I'm also no marshmallow bullshit either. Marshmallows are like raisins. They ruin it, you don't need it. It's fine on its own. Get out. Now, this is a true story. I read your tweet about the hot chocolate. While in line at the supermarket, where there was a package of Swiss miss in my cart. And I was going to take a picture and I'm like, well, let's not make this about me. And then if I was going to say like, oh, I read this while buying hot chocolate people would tell me I'm a liar and it's not true, but I just wanted you to know, I was actually buying hot chocolate when I read your tweet. Wow. I don't get any money from that or any pop. But I appreciate things that's influencer. I will say my no, no, I was already in my cart when I read your tweet. So I'm like on your side fully on this on this. It now had hot chocolate every day since the tweet. Let's have it a lot at SI because they had free when we had an office in the free hot chocolate. I haven't seen Spotify. I haven't looked at the Spotify how chocolate options. We got cold brew on top. They probably have like the ghirardelli or the fancy. They're not doing Swiss miss. It's Spotify. I don't think. I got to look. Yeah. All right, Kevin, appreciate it. Enjoy a hot chocolate. And we'll have

"Far. Jim Nance joined us, he said of Tom Brady wins the Super Bowl coming up two Sundays from now. It's the greatest achievement and his career. Wow. We also were joined. Are we also talked about, I should say would be cool if we were joined Baron Rogers. We're not pat back up. So we did talk about the Aaron Rodgers situation, but that was so bizarre to me. And the chef, the reporting and kind of just look it in confidence and you go. Man. You see what's going on with the Texans. And then the Packers from Adam Schefter Olya, the coaching staff wanted back, but not everyone in the organization isn't lover is convinced about Aaron Rodgers moving forward. It's clearly Brian Gouda kun's onto it has to be the general manager's same guy that drafted Jordan Love. And it just annoys me when there's an obvious thing. And then the opposite thing happens. Now we are scheduled next week. And I hope that this happens Who knows, though With all these schedules, we'll have Jerry Rice on next week that we know for sure we have Deon Sanders scheduled to join us next week is well, we got a lot of big guests. For the Super Bowl. We're efforting Joe Montana when, uh and we're actually scheduled I'm hoping it happens. You never know, though with these interviews We are. We are efforting when we were scheduled to have Jordan love next week. Now I think that would be If he's willing to talk and just doesn't give us the typical answers. I think that has potential to be a very good conversation. So anyway, pretty much if you missed the show. So far, we have Jim Dancer. We also talked about the Anna Roger situation. Why? I don't get why The Packers would even contemplate trading him and personally, I think he's going to be the starting quarterback for the Packers. Come 2021 Just last segment. We talked about Big Ben. The Steelers want big Bend back. Big Ben wants to come back. They just needed to restructure that contract that it seems like Big Ben is willing to comply. The biggest topic of conversation so far tonight. Shawn Watson. And I hate to say this. I know we're on in Houston right now, because I feel bad for the Texans fans. I told you, So I told you this wasn't gonna end. In a good way, and I didn't just say this. And we gate. I didn't just say this. In week nine or week 10 the minute DeAndre Hopkins was traded. I lost all confidence in that organization. That organization went from a team that was up 24 to nothing against the Chiefs and the NFC championship game. Or the anti divisional round and 24 nothin. Who the league got blown out of the game. Since then, the Houston Texans have been a dumpster fire. I'm not saying it in a polite way. That's saying it in a nice way. But the minute they traded DeAndre Hopkins Houston Texans showed me that they don't actually care, not the players. But the management the coaching staff. Executives, but they're not serious about winning. And maybe it's not fair to say all the coaching staff, but I lump that in with Bill O'Brien and I know he's no longer there. They hired David Kolia. They're gonna bring it bring it and David Collie. Bill O'Brien was the general manager in the head coach. That's why I said coaches. The minute they traded DeAndre Hopkins. They thought they were smarter than everybody else. What do they get back for the Andrea Hopkins? A bag of balls until I got back for him. When you trade a player like DeAndre Hopkins, and the whole world is pointing a finger at you and laughing. Oh, like one of the Texans doing and everyone's belly aching over your incompetence. How do you think the players feel locked room? The players have probably sitting back and they're mystified and they're going. What the heck is going on out here? What do we do in Then you get off to a cold start. Then this thing ended up turning into a disaster of full on disaster. Here could be the biggest blunder here by the taxes. Because I told you the minute they traded DeAndre Hopkins. Bill O'Brien just signed up to get fired. The Texans. Yeah, they got to Shawn Watson to Sean Watson's good quarterback. Maybe they still make the playoffs baby. They still win the division. He will eventually don't want out. Cause it's never gonna be the same synergy whoever they bring in that he had with DeAndre Hopkins. Well at the time going into last season, was considered the best wide receiver in the NFL. Anyway, though. Here's the biggest blunder by the Texans. All the DeAndre Hopkins crap, who was a good soldier to Shawn Watson. Have to show monster that a few tweets here they're a few ambiguous tweets. But to Sharm Watson, when ever given an opportunity where he would have deservedly so and nobody giving him any problems to just blast the organization. Shot. Watson was classy. Shawn Watson was guess what himself. Shawn Watson did the right thing to Shawn Watson said. Yeah. I'm not gonna chastise the organization. I still want to be here now. I got an extension to that helps all that. Hey, we're sorry. We'll give you a big fat contract extension. 150 $160 million. Whatever was boom. Give you a lot of dinero. And then throughout this season, even through all the losing even even through battling his took us off. We've seen to Shawn Watson say all the right things. And I even bring you back and I mentioned this earlier mentioned again. When I first saw that video I was walking around the city was I actually got a bagel? I got a great bagel. This was right after the season, And did I want to this place Leo's in New York City. They have a pastrami on rye bagel, so it's a bagel. But as.

I look, John, horrible, said some really I love the support for Lamar Jackson. I do. I love the unified front and I believe that he believes what he said. I'm not so sure that I'm subscribing to what he said. We could have that conversation which we will, but You know, e. I know we take this stuff for granted, and we've done it with Brady for years. We're probably in the process of doing it with Aaron Rodgers out. God, he looks like he's 25 years old, which does but he's not 25 there. There is a finite window while he obviously has, uh, you would think You know, five or six of the stays healthy and wants it the way Brady wants it to keep his body right. He's got, you know, 456 maybe more years if he surrounded by great players to be really, really good. What's interesting is, you know the way the contract is set up his. He has an out. He's got three years to go, but he's got an immediate out. And you know this little thing in the corner of the room. They still didn't draft Jordan. Love E mean, How is this thing resolved here seriously, if he's still playing great, you can't not play him now. Taken as many runs as they can. It feels like at that the Super Bowl. Um you know, it was surprising this offseason when they drafted Jordan love as opposed to a wide receiver. But as a zoo, we've seen it. Maybe they didn't actually need a wide receiver. They were actually pretty good right now. And that receiving room in and and in their tight end room with Tanya, Who's that? A great year touchdown wise, at least and so. Um, you know, I don't know how this is going to play itself out. And Rogers has no idea of this is going to play itself out. All he can do is control which which? Right now, um, I think it's acid 92. Even consider moving on from him A great but I mean, you never know with any of these teams. It's so confusing. What the with the thought processes for some of these squads, especially, you know, Green Bay where they drafted a quarterback. It was literally the last thing you need it. Yeah, that was really that was a head scratcher didn't get it that way. You and I were actually doing a national draft show. When that happened were like perplexing almost didn't even know how to give commentary. I was so stunned. Well, yeah, it's not again. It's not about not liking this. This kid. Not at all. It's just what that's what you needed. I don't think so. No, it was an odd fit. Given where he is, which is in stark contrast to wear brought Brett Farve wasn't you know that And that's the thing is easy to say to try to lump it into like, you know, one swooping brush, You know, Farve slash Rogers Dean and where the For Rogers, the approaching somewhat approaching the end of his tenure into India in Green Bay. But far is less three years. They weren't winning. He had a foreign 12 season at one point that obvious that last year I believe they were 13 and three on a 500 season in between, but they had one really rough season and the statistics were really Not very good. He had basically four more touchdowns than pick 66 touchdowns to 62 picks those those last last couple of seasons plus four, and while they were clamoring form based out of sentiment, the fan base, no doubt He's our guy He plays every week we way. So what he did on Monday night football. The date of this, you know when his dad passed away against the Raiders when he threw all those touchdowns in the autumn, his pops and You know, with Packer fans have seen a walk back from the abyss with pain killers and some missteps is a young player. You know, young person is a bit of a wild child like they love Brett Farve, so there was emotion that was fueling Those phone calls into sports radio back then, this is just common sense. Yeah. Baron Rogers is twice as good if not three times as good as Brett Farve was at the end. I wonder, and I don't know the answer to this, but I wonder if Roger's seen Tom Brady going play for a different team. Maybe freeze up of different part of his brain. They I don't know. Listen, we all remember he was sitting in that green room. We all know he wanted to go first, with Alex Smith going first to his hometown Niners coming from cow right up the road. I don't know There's they're a part of their and Rogers that maybe deep in the deepest recesses of his mind says You know what? Maybe I do have a plan of my bounce and I play somewhere else for a couple years. Maybe, but I don't think I don't think he's planning that. I mean, it would be like, obviously highly speculative, but I think I think he's gonna leave it up to the Packer to decide what they want to do with him. And look, we know that when he's not there anymore, it's gonna be a precipitous drop, you be play. Now. They might still be able to win some games and be viable and even gets the postseason as they do have a really good run game. And they've drafted well there, and I think their defense is obviously it's it's much it's significantly better than it's ever been in the early parts of Aaron Rodgers is career But at the same time, I mean, you're losing Aaron Rodgers was one of the greats. That's all you need to say. You're losing one of the greats ever. Like how you can't compare really any of these young quarterbacks to a guy like Aaron Rodgers. So Um, I think if he does get pushed out, so to speak, um, because he still has what three years left on his deal on three years ago, but he's got an out believe it's after one. I don't think he will voluntarily leave. I agree. But I do disagree a little bit on that he will be willing to sit back and allow the Packers to navigate his future. I don't think he's that kind of person now, Brett Farve to me. You know, it is a little different, You know? Not that Rogers isn't married to the community. He loves it. But again, it was. It was just with bread. It was a little more visceral because Brett was the bread gave you more is a person like you knew. Now Rogers is opens up with McAfee, His buddy and You know, he said some interesting things. I'm not saying he conceals. Everything is like a robot that stone face. But Brett far was guard down. Whatever he was thinking, you knew, and that resonates with fans. We appreciate that so I think there's a much more and the reason I say that is because I believe I believe I can. I don't know it, but I believe that there was more of a willingness with Brett. Kind of write it out as long as possible, even to the detriment of his own feelings, or the team was, I think Rogers is playing chess. More in that department around, say, I wonder what they're gonna do with May lodge is going to say I'm leaving. If you don't want I'm gone. You also can't revise what would happen. What was going on with bread Farm bred far was talking openly about retiring in a couple of times, so they had they had to, like, have a contingency plan. And then he just never wanted to retire. It was like, all right, we got our contingency plan..
