And I'll tell you there's a, there's a group of guys part of a subset of these guys that are doing it that are little odd. Let's get back to the eccentric, one dish notch Barbra Streisand Barbra Streisand. Yes, what is it? She did with her two little fluffy arm ball, sort of the equivalent of the tunes. Fluffy. Little yarn bullshit. You. Well. Feet are not fluffy. And they're not yarn balls. They really have very little hair there, two hours. But I know I know what you're saying there two little dogs. And they're in the care of your mother celebrated her birthday. Yes. Yes. Yes. Now, did she also do Barbra Streisand Sean, and she was a nightclub saying I don't think she ever. I'm not sure if she ever seen Barbara straighter, she doesn't have like, no, no. But she had the Michelet snows as I had the mclovin. So when she got my mom got one. That's the only plastic surgery. She my mother has ever had. She hasn't even had talks nothing. And when she did that I said, wait a second. Hold on sister. Yeah. So judge it like mother like listen. Listen. I mean, I was like, what mom if you're you've set an example, I have to follow it. All right. So give us the breakdown of white schnauzers Inonu's now very eccentric. Oftentimes outta sight, outta mind. Well remember about no year year and a half ago. She was in the news for the news that she had cloned. Her beloved dog Samantha Samantha was a little multi, I think it was. And she had some for fourteen years, Samantha was dying. So she said, look, I felt it. I mean look, I get it. We, they're like kids to us, but she said, I could only deal with the concept of leading out the Sammy, she called her go. If I knew that I could somehow keep part of her life. So she went to a closer, an actual company that clones dogs and cats and she cloned Sammy, and she has now violet and Scarlett, and so violent scarlet, and their cousin Pedro or something I don't know what the. Fannie fan fanny. No. It's fanny. So there's violet fanny and scarlet. They all visited the gravestone of the dead. Samantha the the original dog the dog that was cloned. And she posted this on her Instagram. And of course, people went crazy. People were criticizing her. They're were saying that six people were saying, we totally get it. It's understandable. If you've got the money and you can do it do it. But the fact is that Barbara as you can see right here. There's some showing Barbara holding her little Samantha, and it's beautiful puppy dog question is cloning your own warned. All you guys out shown the fem fatale of the world. Always get us in trouble. They're not going to need us to procreate. We don't even have to put it in the Petri dish, if they don't even want us to have the urge to merge, they're going to be able to clone their own, and they're already doing it with their animal friends in this, like men. Can't do that to you have minimum men, want to, you know that's the whole women don't know. Oh, okay. So we're all every time we have sex were being essentially a salted. If you were to give. Give the women a option. Do you want to clone your own? Or do you want this long to get on top you? You know, like he's writing in the day. Right. Edgy. She'll say I. My friends Curtis. Of your friends. Oh my God. Rump riders. Yeah. But anyway, on numbers, one eight hundred eight four WABC. Is it strange that instead of just going out and getting another dog maybe from a shelter or maybe even from a breeder you and instead, just clone you own dog? Yeah, that's a big part of it. The people who say, look, you know, there are so many dogs, that are unwanted out there that are just as wonderful as your beautiful, but late Samantha, is, why don't you go and get one of those rescue do the right thing she paid anywhere between fifty to one hundred thousand dollars per dog? So that's a lot of moolah shmole twenty five thousand. Barbara anyway. Number is one eight hundred eight four eight WABC. That's one eight hundred eight four eight nine two two two. Then leads us to the story that was in the daily news. And it involves yours truly my wife Nancy, along with some great animal rescuers led by rob Massera, who had gotten some information rob did to his network of animal rights activists that there was a father and a son, who a breeding pit bulls in Jackson heights private house third-floor, but so he basically position himself him and his friend were outside and they watched the sun walked the dogs, the two that were breeding, and they look like they were one inch from taking a pass. "Yeah. You look at the the Rams in sue and sue had a good NFC championship game. He was good against the Cowboys. And he he had a good end of the season. But sue was also not one of those guys that every single week when we can't let this guy's changing the defense. That's Aaron Donald Aaron, Don key. To leave was in the ram defense was different. Aaron Donald is different. Sue is a good player. Sue might even you know, be one of those guys that gets a vote here and there for the hall of fame. I don't think you'll get in. But he's a guy that will get a vote. He never really had that impact. He would have date games or was good. But it wasn't weakened weak out. I think you can leave him or let him leave and not it's not gonna keep you up late at night saying outmanned gone. What do we do now? No, no. I think the gap between his production, and what he's probably gonna ask for is Nick and enough where you can get someone who's not quite him but far from the price. And I think that's what less need is setting up both through the draft. But also just in terms of fans expectation, it's like, we know you love the name. We love the name. We love the player we love the contribution is just a contribution doesn't measure with the dollar price. He's he's gonna want. And I appreciate that. It is opening day in major league baseball changed for the worse for the Lakers six years ago. There was also a change for the dodgers. Six years ago that led to their success here at next who boy Elsie, this This isn't isn't l. a l z. I don't know s and his question. That's the question Barbara Streisand. Cher Madonna and lady Gaga where do they rank amongst the gays as you put it, it's a generational thing. Okay. So you can't just, you know, blanket across like my generation grew up with Madonna, the my forefathers if you will Barbra Streisand Barbra, Streisand the generation after me all about Gaga share. You know is more of inbetween my generation and before so it just it's like ramp is like wait if Monday MC rank well based upon when you were born enough lady Gaga thirty three years old today. "You know, just looking at the drudge report, and they have the headline Camille paalea, Bradley Cooper star is born a misogynist disgrace. Now, you know you and I have talked about. Komo probably before especially because she's a she's an old time liberal, right? There's an old school liberal, and she's one of those out there. The probably I'm interested to see if she writes something on Martina Navratilova. Oh, yeah. It'd be interesting because she has come out against the transgender movement. And and so, you know, of course, she has they have tried to marginalize your, but it's very very tough because she's been around for such a long time and. She writes, really good. But this is the here's how it starts the academic author and cultural critic analyzers four versions of the tragic love story and fines one a feminist landmark and Bradley Cooper's to be a misogynist disgrace. When she writes the fourth version of a star is born directed by Bradley Cooper, and starring himself and lady Gaga has been nominated for eight Oscars at this year's Academy Awards. How does this movie trait are red hot theme of women's aspirations and achievement surprisingly despite its progressive gestures towards masculine sensitivity and transgender inclusiveness. This a star is born is the most sexist film of the entire series, and she goes on by. But it's a really long column to about. I don't know a quarter of it went. I don't care. Yeah. Yeah. I got nothing got nothing with all the other stories out there. This is during the break. I get through it. Maybe the article I think maybe a quarter of the way through. I have really no interest in this anymore. And I think because there's so much that's instantly available to us now. That that that this is why I think the award show or shows are becoming less and less relevant is because of the fact that we are very proactive in in our our movie watching they used to be that even for the premium channels, right? A HBO Showtime. You were just it was whatever was coming up next. Now, you could DVR you could VCR back in the day for those under the age of eighty VCR was never mind. But now you can go even with the apps that that the that are like showtimes app or HBO you can go watch movies on demand. You don't have to watch whatever's on the TV right now the point being is that we make our own appointments with with movies. We don't we don't. Well this. This is coming on at this time, or this is showing even at this time that my local theater, plenty of people still go. The theater, but in the way, we get our entertainment is very proactive and on our own schedule now, and I think that's why a lot of the stuff is really become less and less relevant. And Hollywood is just they're throwing out. How many remixed we have to have? Well, how many different? Onyx books movies. Do we have out there again? I just I I started reading it. Because again, MS paalea, we we've talked about before she she's written great things about transgender activists movement. And we're liberalism has completely lost compared to what liberalism used to be. And so I find that fascinating. This got to the point though. I mean. A a. I'll read something on lady Gaga because her her her whining lately has has entertained me. I'm entertained by the fact that she's trying to promote herself as a victim, and you know, that I got this award. And it's so great because I've been marginalized and people don't pay attention to what excuse me. You're worth three hundred million dollars in your promote yourself as Gaga. People take me seriously, people don't take women seriously. Well, you know, something you're in the business music business. They don't take anybody seriously unless you're they're absolutely sure you can make the money. And then when you make the money they don't care what you do. They will try to mold you. Except for what's his name with Kansas. The guy who created the monkeys and and the arches Don Kirshner, Don Kirshner. Yeah. He did like Kansas. Do what they wanted to do suffer Kansas. But I didn't see the four movies. I mean, I've I've only ever saw was the Barbra Streisand Barbra Streisand. Yeah. Exactly. I saw that one years years ago being bought forty years ago over forty years ago. Forty three years ago. I saw and so I had never watched it since it was a date. So it's like. Fafsa was more convincing in the blade trilogy. Vampires? I was I wasn't. I wasn't. I wasn't impressed by the movie and an accident will tell you this. I mean, I thought I actually thought. She was really good. I mean going back to Barbara Streisand back. Kris kristofferson. I just didn't like his character. I I don't know. Whether I don't think I analyzed it to the point of all did not play. Well, or I mean, I was a kid back then. But what I saw it. It was like well to me the story line, especially in today's world. I I'm not sure about the appeal of of a movie like that, especially to me because you know, we've had karaoke or American idol for a long time on TV. But you how many of these shows do you have on TV? Now where you have this person come out NBC has one. And it's it's it's an unknown relatively unknown person. The next thing, you know, they're catapulted the fame the point being is that you see that happen in a matter of weeks with shows like that so discovering. Someone and someone a story where someone is discovered of stars born, I don't know if it has the same appeal why? The first one is about thirty seven. So that you're trying to do modern remaking something from nineteen thirty seven, and which which by the way was the age of of not just a a growing media world in in music, but also in movies, so it would be more relevant back. Then in that, a nobody becomes a big somebody, you know, a star because because becoming a star like that in the in in that kind of John in the movies was just that that was still relatively new which is my point at that point. But sorry sorta reading I'm like, wait a minute. I haven't seen. I it's interesting to see the comparison she's trying to make. But when you don't see the movies, it doesn't mean anything to you. And so I'm like, okay, I don't need to be reading this anymore. But I will say this. I saw the trailer yesterday. And I went I don't care, and I've been telling you I've got painters at my house all day yesterday all day today. I'll go home getting couple hours sleep beat up by eight o'clock today would the they're supposed to finish a painting. They'll be out. Out by hopefully, four four thirty again today. So I can get five or six hours sleep before I need to work again tonight. But I was just doing nothing. I mean, I'm doing show prep and after about three or four hours of just sitting by your phone. Here's you can't go anywhere. I went maybe I'll rent a movie, and I was still stuck between. What is it? The. Bohemian rhapsody, and then the other one what's his name? Oh, come on the from the eighty series. He's re did the remake of the series. He did number one the number two from the the. Oh, golly. Oh, Denzel Washington. Yeah. Those are both both movies. I saw those. I was it was between those two. And then I saw the trailer was on for a star is born. And I went I don't care. Yeah. I've no interest no interest in that. And so I didn't make a decision yet. I didn't something else came on TV's something on National Geographic or something. I'll watch this for a while. And then I sort of blew it off. But equalizer too, but he neom rhapsody, and then what was it? Oh, was it mission? The last mission impossible. Which I still had great great right action. But it, but it's like, I, you know, a star is born. If I have a date. Well, I mean. Care bohemian rhapsody because you know, we grew up during that period that that all that stuff was happening when you and I were young. So it's it's relevant to again people in our age. You're you're. Maybe learning some something about the band. I don't know if you're learning anything new necessarily, but interesting kind of insight not everything was accurate in the movie, let you get through that before we spoil anything, but the timeline wasn't wholly accurate, but nonetheless spirit of the movie now came off as you know, celebrating a guy great rockstar the basics of the movie. They become a band. They make some hits they become ultra famous lead singer dies pretty much. Okay. Yeah. Someone actually made that comment on the movie Rami Malik, by the way, those I think really great job as Freddie Mercury. I mean, really great Travis, Freddie, Mercury. They recreated the Live Aid concert almost step for step and to choreograph something like that. I know they can they can edit a lot of stuff, you know. Because that's what they do wasn't done. Live still was impressive. And and I that was I think that was probably for me the most impressive thing because they recreated it. And it was which was only what a fifteen minutes set. Fifteen twenty minutes at whatever it was. And and I think that was a really great thing. But it went back for me to being a fan of the band being fan of that era. In fact, before I watched it, I watched the this was from a few years ago the documentary on Queen, and which is also great. But it's it's one of those historic things you go back and go. Okay. Great. I liked the documentary. I've seen the fifteen minute Live Aid. And where they do most the anthems, and I'm just out of MandA the anthems, I love the power of the crowd. Yeah. And I and they do great versions of it. But I'm just not a fan of that part of the ban while fans of Iraq. You what's interesting is you get behind the in the documentary. They got into this in the movie they got into it a little bit too. But it was really about in the documentary. They were talking about how they the band one wanted the audience to be a part of the performance. And early on. They learned in front of a huge audience in Chile. I think it was that there's no greater end or end result. I guess then your audience, and it could be tens of thousands of people that are participating in the song. So we are the champion. I'm with you because well, anybody that's been to a sporting event, we will rock you, by the way, they said look in in one or in two different songs, but that were often played together, we will rock, you are the champions. They had two different major sporting venue songs that still live on today, which I thought was an interesting point they made, but it was that effort to get the audience involved in those I guess understand that prefer music I actually care about the performance for the band. I really don't care about the audience, and that's why I've loved early Queen. Yeah. I love a lot of the early stuff that they did. And when they got into the. Anthem stuff. I remember I just didn't care anymore. I don't care. They've actually to me. I went they sold out. That's what I thought. That's what you thought back then. All right. They're doing an anthem was ill. They did. Fat bottom girls. Yeah. Yeah. Right. I was gone at that. Come on don't insult my intelligence. Great song. Yeah. I love that song. I do. I just went. They sold out the the tar rift, the drums, I thought were just lost. And and it's and and from the artist's perspective of trying to get that audience. And and they talked about that. Mercury walking out on the stage and being able to to take an audience with him on that was there. No is for that was a huge accomplished. I will agree. It's it's extremely powerful by the way you and I both talk about where we really don't argue music because who can Arkansas taste who can argue about personal taste of what satisfies your ear. What sound way satisfy your drums into your brain? Yeah. This argument to have here would be the difference for me. I don't like it when an aging performer can't hit the notes, so he holds the microphone out and wants you to do lifting. I hate that. Yes. That's not audience participation. That's hey, wait a minute. Dude. I paid a hundred bucks for this ticket. And you're wanting me to sing for you. But with Queen it was about it was about that huge joint effort of everybody, and the parallel the modern day parallel for me would be foo fighters because Dave Grohl is like one of his own fans. He's a fan of his fans and it shows when their live when he's on stage. It's not the same anthem music. But his energy is equal to any of his greatest and most loyal fans when he's onstage, and and to me that's pretty incredible to watch eight six six ninety redeye when your batteries talk..

"Sniper. Yes. Two thousand fifteen. Aloha, Burton joy would a weird year in credit, Iran. Oh, my I forgot about Aloha on the heels of American sniper, which really is one of the biggest American drama hits of the last twenty years. Yes. Huge massive movie Clint Eastwood directed, obviously. He becomes a very important, dude. One Brad Cooper here. Aloha, burnt joy. I stand by burnt drives Chan crazy thinks it's an atrocity there is early in the ringers history. There is a month where I think we all just communicated via burnt quotes. Now, very special time. Yeah. I don't really remember joy other than not liking it. And then we're dogs and sixteen but at that point had been thinking of stars born and. Is he the biggest male star? We have right now. Or would you still say, Leo? Leonardo Di Caprio. I mean, I think there are guys who can kind of more consistently open a movie, no matter what like Mark Wahlberg, basically opens a movie almost every time. He's in a movie, it doesn't mean we have basically, Mark Wahlberg. Yes. I think the difference in Bradley Cooper in Leo's. I don't think Leo could have played this part. No. And I think Bradley Cooper could play more of the Leo parts and Leo could play for badly Cooper. I disagree at this point of their criticism. I agree with you disagree. I I don't think I think this is actually kind of firmly Leo's wheelhouse. A star is born. Yes. But here's the thing is that Leo's the phase of his career. He's just playing Leo and every move I give it up on trying transformational aspect of this performance, which again is partly because rather Cooper is not had as many chances at these types of roles to totally lose himself in a character or recreate himself in character in this way. I don't know if Leo could right and conceive and shoot a movie like this. I don't also don't know if he can sing or play the guitar, which is something that Bradley Cooper does which is pretty fucking. Hard to learn how to do. And he he does it fairly convincingly here. Perfect. But just purely performance, I don't know him pretty big, Leo. A pretty big believer in Leo being able to kinda do not anything. But anything that demands magnetism. That is like his greatest skill is look at me. And look at what I'm doing. And that's that Bradley Cooper to me is the first time he ever fully fully has that. He's incredibly interesting charming and weird and obnoxious in the hangover, and he's really good in the David Russell settling. He had that in the hangover. Yeah. It was really good in the hanging. But he, but he gets to only do it for sort of a third of the movie a lot of the time Rozelle and Akkas he has to be at the centre. I disagree. I don't think you could have done it. I don't think he would have the could've put up the singing in the in the guitar. And I always would have felt like it was Leo and think what was interesting about Cooper in this. You really don't feel like it's Bradley Cooper. It's like you don't. Yeah. It's becomes this other person. Withdraw is my favorite and then lady Gaga with no makeup. Also seem. Like its own human being that I hadn't really experienced before. Go no makeup for basically. But two thirds of the movie. Yes, there's like an aspect of that that we should discuss. Which is the the movie is premised upon this idea that is true also lady Gaga, which is that lady Gaga is feeling that lady Gaga has no self worth. Because she didn't people don't think she's beautiful so chagrin songwriters to create singer. But she's ugly, quote, unquote. But like league guys, not ugly. And I know she's not porn star hot or whatever. Whatever the acid nation that you wanna provide it. She doesn't look like Cindy Crawford. But she is like incredibly striking person. And the way that Bradley Cooper's character talks about her is totally believable. You know, like, yeah, we were just talking about Barbra Streisand. Barbra Streisand is not a classically beautiful woman in the sort of painter Lee twentieth century way. But she is she has like a real command of any time. She's in a room because she has a look and league has a look. So that's the one thing. I watched the movie I was like is the reason. That this person isn't a big star because she's not pretty enough that doesn't seem to that's. His somebody like her nose or something. And which is based on lady Gaga telling her own experience. Some of it is less likely to Gaga doesn't feel that she's beautiful and more that, you know, a bunch of assholes in the music industry of which we know that there are many did not feel that lady Gaga looked like Cindy Crawford and told her so very rudely. And that you then she wisely used it in her myth. I agree with you that she is extremely. Attractive in one of kind and her appearance in that his played a huge role in her success because she's also used it. Yes. I think also she's weirdly better suited to being a movie star even than pop singer. Because which he has big features movie stars always have Bette Davis is or they have Barbra Streisand's nose. They have these sort of signature things lady Gaga sort of all features. When you look at her. You're like, wow, sure, that's an Italian American Girl from Long Island for sure, no doubt. But she has star quality. She has like face charisma on the fifty foot screen did some people can't hack it another. She felt like she blonde on the screen. I disagree. I agree. Because I think I think that thing lady Gaga is she doesn't seem to feel like she's attractive. I was start. She was prettier than she gave herself credit for. But it seemed like a big theme of her whole career was trying to hide her face. Do these weird wigs and masks and like like, she. Ashamed of how she looked something as surprised that. She even did this. Yeah. And that she did without makeup. It was so. Opposite

well let me let me let me do this let me let me get to that let's just around the table Eh okay so so nick so what about you man what's your movie as far as Goto action and comedy zip for me growing up like as I'm getting older thrillers more dramatic roles I'm starting to gravitate tours of a yeah definitely uncommon like watch I was just watching anchorman the other day like stuff like that to me that's the first one not to say the first one is you never see angrily there is one of the funniest it's one of the funniest movies ever the those those movies that I like but I can be said I can watch any Dan good but definitely looking forward to the superhero because I was a grew up reading comics and all that stuff too so the cedars actually play out the way it is why is great my type of movies do I like I think everyone probably can guess but I mean I'm I'm mostly what mood he's doesn't matter if it's this era it's last era if it looks what whatever I'll just watch it if I'm at especially at home I'm not going to go the theater to see some bullshit that I know Shit but if I'm at home and I just want something brainless off the one a horror movie I'm not like Rod I'm going to look and be like well it was filmed really well and it was cut really L. I just want to see somebody get fucked up if somebody's getting the arm chopped off if somebody's getting a knife in the neck I'm going to watch it I want you put me up on Netflix with the cloud and terrifying yes that's one of the best movies I've seen in years mainly because it's mindless you'll have to really think about it and he's has killed kills is and that's really all I want it with harvey now I also like psychological horror movies like the witch or hereditary I really enjoy those artful uh-huh I'm really really into art films movies that people will walk away with the fucked it happened it was ridiculous I enjoy that Kinda Shit so that might be kind of where 'cause I know it used to be in the movies more like that but I think he's kind of moved away from that and but I think that's where I'll be able to step in and be like I yeah I fucked with that that's my thing I don't watch Rom Com unless I'm with somebody that wants to watch one I don't watch comedies typically don't find them funny I'm not a big action movie Dan you know like somebody recommended upgrade told me with a horror movie I watched it and I was like some fucking bullshit is some fucking jason state amass nonsense it's just not my thing Audi to see somebody karate kicking somebody breaking the arm and feeling you know that's not that's not my thing wow man for me I guess MoD Oh to be Safa and much like you it don't even matter be good I would spend my whole day on Saturdays with the software channel watching those horrible sci fi movies like shark NATO that's been seen any of those I've I've seen them all and I just need five oh man yeah all of them so be like because I I don't have good movies but it's something good to pass the time and I get it from my dad cadessus off I got so he was been all of his days in around watching movies and stuff like that so it passed down from him and I think the second one my favorite would be horror weeks and I would just sit there and just you know just look I look for at this point most of everything has been done so so yeah just you just go through Netflix and try to find something as as you know that I haven't seen before like I watched the have you seen this I don't know if it necessarily count as a horror movie but the train from Bussan or something like that yeah that was one of my favorite movement credible I just one day taking a family and I just put it on and I was like we cannot leave until I finish watching is moving in that movie was banned so downloaded that one is is basically as Japanese might be Korean is Asian? It's an Asian Zombie Film Zombie films are my number one of everything number one. There's actually one coming out on Netflix Call Kingdom I think it's like a it's like Asian Zombie series like TV series I just saw the trailer like a couple of weeks ago like wow I didn't cause this is like mix with it's like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon with zombies that's okay oh they've tried that before and ended that's not really my thing either I don't need to see Kung Fu on zombies like a whole bunch of Jesus from walking dead drop kicking zombies on good Oh yes oh yeah man so yeah I think we all like something different definitely GonNa be you know some interesting takes on movies so Oscar predictions let's go to that nets and I don't have the list will the the nomination gone out just like the Golden Globes just ended in usually those are like a predictor for the Oscars exactly how it plays out 'cause usually every award show they nominate the same people for the same roles anyway so if you see a bunch of nominations for this specific role are specific movie is mostly gone trickle down Oscars I think right now the best picture categories looking like probably Black Panther a star is born What else is there maybe the favorite if you look Google the Golden Globe nominees winners those are the ones that that are you could just rattle off most likely those are the ones that is going to be picked up yeah you know think about Oscar's man is that I really don't get caught up and all of that I mean I sort of understand that the import is bottle you know but I mean nowadays war shows what they used to be as far as the I think the veil has been revealed as far as the actress giving other actors awards and most likely as the popularity contests about people like this year and who feels like they you know got snubbed last year they need award this year basically just like how on his Oscar and how Leonardo just got his first Oscar as a lead actor for revenue even though he's been a bunch of great movies but it's always interesting debate about who's going to win I think if bill could talk is not there's going to be possibly nominated for best picture as well I've heard a lot of great things about it too ginny game won a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe Regina King She's GonNa Probably Be Nominated for support actors for Oscar I think vice might be nominated for best picture took my dad to go see it was better than I thought I was GONNA be at the it was it was pretty good because I mean he wanted to see it's always like Oh yeah okay for your birthday this go check it out so this list and I was like I've seen black KLANSMAN which I didn't love I haven't seen it but I've seen star is born which I thought was great I saw crazy rich ages and I was like I I saw it a Christmas holiday that's cool y'all can have the Black Panther you know I mean and that's kind of what I figured and that's why I haven't I I won't like dog on it but it just I get it it was like the Asian folks version of what white people have been making for years with Iraq pry part is tough I bet he must yeah you're right why does she went and saw good good love and joy said it was good she enjoyed it she liked those sort of Movies do yeah but it was definitely their version of of that 'cause I I saw a podcast that they need more of that you know so controversial might green book because there's a lot of stuff coming out about that film basically lot but nobody's nobody's letting that stop all the hype train is forced Warsi subvert because he isn't he'll musician star the black dudes in the back seat yeah so but whatever what what what is what was the star is born what does that Dow's whip Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga where it looks like it's going to be some straight up a one dude do but I thought it was everybody that's probably like surprised film of the Year of eighteen because it's a remake of a remake and the original not make people have seen but it was like Kris Kristofferson and not forgetting the woman was was Barbra streisand Barbra streisand Boris Resenting Kris Kristofferson it is basically about you know a country star you know or maybe like country star I.

"This week's top TV. Streams on iheartradio. Right here. Tahoe. And thirty six we are working our way through a Friday edition of the show. So the new congress has been in office. They were Naga rated yesterday. Dave just kidding. They weren't really inaugurated. I know that that was one of Alexandria Akassou Cortes, the youngest woman ever elected to congress, one of her missteps is when she said, she was going to be inaugurated and start signing bills. But Alexandria, Cossio Cortes is a media, darling. And I don't just mean the left leaning media. I mean all media because she is the gift that keeps on giving first of all she's young. She's cute. She speaks the same language is all those democratic socialists who went out to all his Bernie rallies, and she is become the obsession for many on the right? And we talked about this a little bit yesterday. So yesterday at some point during the day somebody. Released this video of when she was at Boston College her senior year, she's up on the roof of a building dancing, and it's kind of a breakfast club. Oh my gosh. I guess would be a good way to put it. And I think they put it out to embarrass her. But it's kind of endearing and it's silly. And it's dumb, and there's she looks cute in it. And I I keep seeing all these accounts. And this is what's interesting. I keep seeing other people say, oh, these right wingers are losing their minds, except the conservatives that I follow on Twitter, and the conservatives, and what do you want to know the pulse of what's happening? You go to Twitter for something. Like, this the conservatives that I follow on Twitter are without a doubt in agreeance with me. It's like this is not some kind of. It's not like we're watching your do cocaine off the back of a Hooker. Okay. That's not what's happening in this and this desire to embarrass her or desire to tear her down or this desire to. Pick on these things that don't matter is really misplaced because she is going to give plenty plenty of ammunition. And of course, rhetorically munition to those who oppose her policy views, so just keep it on policy people. She's very likable now, I can attack Hillary Clinton on policy, and there's already that built in unlike ability that Hillary Clinton has right? So I may have an easier time persuading someone that her policy positions are wrong because she's just such an unlikable person. But if you go in and you attack Alexandria, Cossio Cortez, who's a likable person. I may think she's economically, illiterate and policy a straight out flat out communist, which is honestly what she is my opinion. But I mean think these things but by attacking her personally, I then get the people that either identify with her which is a lot of young people they identify with her. They see themselves in her, right? So they're immediately going to be in a defensive posture. And I have. Zero percent chance of winning a policy argument with someone that is already feeling like they have to defend or protect her because she's being attacked personally. So just drop it. I put the video on the blog. You can watch it. It's it's a college student being silly. And this leads to a bigger conversation about our obsession with data mining. Everyone's every moment of their life. I can't wait for the time. When someone can't find anything else out a candidate. And we see a headline that says Bob bit a classmate in preschool. You know? I mean, we have to stop. Now, I'm not talking if you're eighteen years old and new murdered someone should that's kind of part of the conversation. But if you're an idiot, and you do dumb things in high school, or college guess what we were all stupid and did things. And if you didn't did I'm sorry you've had such a boring life first of all, how do you grow? How do you become a better person? How do you become smarter more mature except to make dumb decisions and do dumb things we have to get over this? And I realized that from this point forward from from people that are Alexandra Cossio Cortez's age and beyond there's going to be a significant documentation of their lives because of the world we live in. Now, there's going to be on the cloud, or at Snapchat or on Facebook or on Twitter, or whatever all those things that never go away. And ultimately Alexandria Cossio Cortez's biggest crime in my view is the certainty of youth. And this is my new I don't know if I coined it. I think it's a great phrase because. Only young people who are inexperienced and not fully educated about issues can be as certain about the answers as young people are and this isn't a millennial thing. Because when I was in college. Amateur exer- when I was in college. I just knew that my father who was a Rush Limbaugh conservative. I just knew that the reason he believed what he believed was because he was heartless. And he was mean, and that if we just all work together, everything would be fine. If we all work together, we can end the problem of homelessness, and the problem of poverty, we could stop every problem in the world, if we all just worked together, and it was such a naive world view. By the way, I wish it was true. I absolutely wish it were true. But it's not. I mean, it's just a very rose colored glasses way to look at the world. And it it indicates a lack of understanding about the problems with human nature because a lot of our issues in the world are directly related to problems with human nature, meaning they stem from jealousy. They stem from out of control anger, they stem from ego. They stem from all of these different parts of humanity that you know, it's great if you wanna hold hands in Koumba by but there's always going to be those outlying a holes that don't wanna participate. And what do you do with them? You know? It's Alexander Cossio Cortes is that kind of naive. She's that kind of rose colored glasses. And she doesn't have the real world experience and the economic knowledge to understand why her ideas, simply will not work the way she thinks they will all she has to do is look at the minutes from the last meeting. Okay. And she would find out that the rich have been paying more than their fair share for a long long time. We've been over this argument for the last twenty five years, they pay more than their fair share. And she's just found out yesterday. They're not paying their fair share of income taxes. Yeah. Well, it's it's well beyond that yesterday. I was on Twitter looking at something. And there was a tweet of hers that came up about pay go. We kind of talked about this yesterday pay as you go, which is a policy that congress adopts as really I mean, it doesn't mean anything if it really meant something we wouldn't be running the deficits were running right now. You know, we have record tax collections. And yet we're running deficits it's insane. But she came out and said, I will not vote for pay go because it ties are. Hands. We can't we cannot vow to not spend more than we bring in. That is. And if you go look at the comments on her Twitter feed, it's all these left-winger saying vote, no on pay go vote, no on pay go. So they they are they're saying vote against any semblance of any kind of balanced budget, and completely let's eliminate fossil fuels and the next. I don't know how many years twelve years completely eliminated. She wants to get every single person into an electric car. And we all know didn't. Oh, maybe we should just give everybody a GMC where do we get that electricity from? But but Dave, why don't we get? Oh, no, nobody wanted the Chevy volt. They stopped making them. But this is the certainty of youth. She truly believes that if only people would listen to her if only people would would adopt her ideas, everything would be fine because she's she's a very simple minded view of the world. And it doesn't take into account human nature and people she needs to do something other than study talking points from the left. She needs to actually look at factual history. Well, I think she's going to get cracked back from her fellow Democrats who are in energy producing states who are in states that rely heavily on the oil and gas industry who are from places or even people who just simply understand that zero percent fossil fuels is just unattainable. It's unattainable. But let's let's just let her speak. Exactly. And that's my second point. Because Alexandra Cossio Cortez is going to continue to do things like suggest a top Marshall rate of seventy percent on income. Mhm now, Dave, I gotta tell you. This is kind of evil a little bit evil. Okay. I want her to get this because if adjusted for inflation she said back in the nineteen sixties the top virtual rate was seventy percent. Okay. Fine. So went back, and I looked at the tax code the equivalent of what she's talking about would be about the eleven or twelve million dollar Mark now. Okay. Who makes eleven or twelve million dollars in a year? Hollywood celebrities athletes, all of these other elite people that have been out criticizing Donald Trump and the Republican party. I would love love love to have. I don't know. I'm trying to think of somebody who's been really caustic about it. I'd love to have any celebrity that has come out. No, I'd love to have out Baldwin Barbra, Streisand Barbra Streisand. I would love to have them get a tax Bill. That includes a seventy percent cut of anything over ten million dollars a year that they make I would love that. Could you imagine it would be the most rock and Republican national convention in the world after that thing past do it Alexandria? Do it. So there's plenty to attack when it comes to policy. There's plenty to discuss when it comes to her grandiose ideas. So just let her dance in her college video and leave it alone. Just leave it alone. And sometimes he's attacked with complete justification. But every time he's attacked in an unfair way. I feel like a little bit defensive about it. And that's the exact same thing is happening.
