"Well, Lennon himself said, give me four years to teach the children. And the seed I've planted will never be uprooted. So, and it's true. To a very large degree. And so they want your children for those first four critical years. Don't give those four years to anybody. Very least of all the state. And we as parents the thing is, we have been put in a position of extreme power, and we get to decide what happens. It's been said, I think it was Barbara Bush, who said what happens in your house is more important than what happens in The White House. And that is, in fact, the truth. And we can make our homes fortifications of truth and goodness. Now, that doesn't mean all of our children are always going to make the choices that we might want. But we can teach them the truth. And we can set them on the right path, and we can offer an alternative to our children, to the narrative that they are hearing everywhere. And we can offer them something so much better and so much brighter with so much more happiness before them. Because when you're fighting against your own anatomy, when you're fighting against God's plan, there's going to be disillusionment. And there's going to be sadness. But when you find God or even people who, as you said, aren't religious. This just makes sense. It's rooted in our anatomy, the family exists for a reason. And it exists for our good. Well, there's no doubt about it. And most people know that there is an actual order that men are created different from women, women look different. They get together in marriage. They have children. This is something that we've taken for granted for millennia, but of course now it has been challenged so dramatically. And it's chilling Kimberly to hear that these elites are at war with these things, but it's also encouraging to me because as we hear these things, people get activated. And they understand, I need to take a stand. If I'm going to some church that acts like this is a marginal issue, maybe I want to get the heck out of that church and find a church that takes this seriously because everything is at stake. Everything is at stake. This is at the heart of reality. And it's really vital that we do everything we can.

"And servant leadership came back with Debbie. I really believe that. But let's close by talking about servant leadership as embodied by HW. And Barbara, what did it mean to you? I've said this a couple of times here because people will say, what did you earn in the experience of serving them for a 11 and a half years, but also in kind of reliving it in the writing of the book. I always kind of came away from a visit with them. Wanting to be a better Christian wanting to be, even in my vocation, even wearing this. I thought I could do a lot more than I'm doing, because look at these people who, even in their last years, they were giving of themselves. I give that little vignette in the book where Barbara and the inn was struggling with some back pain, you know, and the president went from walking to walking with a cane to walking with a walker to wheelchair. They still came to church. And Barbara would slip into church and put a prayer book behind her back so that she could sit through my long sermons, which occasionally she referred to. It was a good little hall. But I would think, I hope I'm that way in my senior years. I hope I'm that way now. And I would leave them thinking I need to do more with what I've got has given to me. This is going to inspire people to be one of those thousand points of light father. And I just want people to know witness to dignity. Obviously, an effort of love, but it's also a portrait that will be memorable and much beloved, and I hope it's flying off the shelves. I hope if you want to give an apologetic to your aging parent or don't really know the lord, don't really care to find out, but they do like politics. This is a good trick, father. That's a very good trick. Thank you. Well done. Whatever we can use, whatever we can use. Well done. And if I ever get the Houston, I've only been once. I went down there when South Texas school offered me a job. I said, they got tunnels for people in the summer here above ground. I'm not going to live there in Houston. But if I ever come to use them, I'm going to come worship at Saint Martin's because you've written an amazing book and I hope it's sell the lot and that people are touched by it as both my wife and I were. Thank you for writing it, father..

"Do you remember when newsweek had the wind factor cover? I always think about that. That magazine. I kept that in my office. I do remember that. Isn't that crazy? Isn't that the craziest thing you could ever put about George H. W. Bush after you know anything about his life? Right. Tremendously courageous man. And, you know, in all kinds of ways. Unfortunately, people associate things like kindness and gentility with being a whip. And he was kind, gentle, but he was not a whip. You know, he we D the world. What the world. Just wait our nation, let the world. During the roughest patch where it could have gone so wrong when the Soviet Union is falling apart, and it dissolves officially in 91, the wall comes down in 89, I think, but Soviet Union hangs around for two more years in its James baker and George H. W. Bush's great accomplishment that they manage that. But he also went to war and you're right about that and years past her when he goes to war. And that's a burden, isn't it? Yep. And I think I was actually with secretary baker this last weekend. We were, we were hunting together. Hunting together in South Texas. At age 92, he is fit and still out there very active. So he's a marine, but he's a marine. And for 5. So whenever even when we're together, he reflects secretary baker, will reflect on those moments as if they were yesterday. And a lot of people, perhaps some people know, but I don't think a lot of people know that as the president prepared to go to war with Kuwait in Kuwait against Iraq, that he and secretary baker, who is an active member of Saint Martin's as well in a very faithful Christian man. Very carefully not only reviewed what humans rights groups were saying, what the Red Cross was saying about the atrocities that were going on there. But they also worked their way through the augustinian just war theory, which has 7 steps. And is in this book, by the way. It's a footnote in witness to dignity, which I did not expect to find augustinian just war doctrine. Well done. And they prayed about it. And they sought the council of other cars. And so again, that just kind of cut it. One of the things I think I learned more and more in our years together, but also in reading and preparing for the book. Because I do think some people in the public square use their faith for political reasons. And to further they get with a certain group or they show up at a certain gathering and they speak the language of the people to further their career, their vocation. I don't think the president did that other than what normal people running for office. I do think he was very much. He and Barbara were very much shaped by their faith. And so they believed they were active in their church. They walked with their lord. And as afraid of that, then that played out in the policy making in the service and the public lives that they would not just in The White House years, but in the years after The White House. Father Levinson, I have looked for. And maybe you have it. I haven't been able to find it. It was either in Forbes or fortune, HW wrote a story on how to be an ex-president and the first line of it was disappear and the second one that I remember is raise a lot of money for everything that's good. And that's what he did. I mean, he went around everywhere raising a lot of money for people. And he did it in a very quiet misses Bush. It's very relevant, not just disappear. His, it's a hard thing to lose the presidency. I can't imagine it Richard Nixon who I knew very well lost it and it changed him and he came back, but HW didn't want to come back. He wanted to go serve people. Did you counsel him on that? There was very little I counseled him on. We talked a lot, and I would get his counsel from time to time and particularly when we were doing big things at the church, which we did a number of those in the last decade for us. But and I would usually first go to them if it was going to be some anything that I wondered how it would impact the community. But because people knew it was the president's church as well. But I do think, you know, I think I learned pretty early on that they were, they lived that mantra. They were not going to talk about who was in office. When you probably thought they were disappointed in the outcome of an election, they didn't want to stoke that fire much. They always felt like we should pray for whoever was in office, whether they voted for them or not. And they avoided the big eye. And people if they don't know what that means, they avoided the big eye. I want to call out before we run out of time. Again, the book is witnessed a dignity. A father has anyone told you they're the ones rule that you got to say the title of the book witnessed a dignity 7 times in any interview or that no one will remember to buy witness to dignity. So just keep saying witness to digging. My literary agent told me I was supposed to do that. But you've taken care of that for me. So I'm just saying, but I also want to take care and thank you. On behalf of everyone who has ever served anyone who is declining in health, for calling out Evan Sicily and especially gene Becker, because when you are served by servants like that, the going is easier. And boy, these two are heroes. I don't even know either of these. I've never heard of them. I knew that gene Becker was around, but I didn't know who it was. Tell people what they did for these older people whom they served. Sure. Gene Becker was his chief of staff. Here in Houston. And really worked with him, of course, every single day. And became a very good friend over the years and in the early years was kind of my go to when we had questions or conversation about what was happening in the presence of life or if we wanted to have an event where we wanted him at church, although he was always a church. Evan Sicily was the president's medical aid and in the early years, he always had kind of a right hand person and when he first was diagnosed with parkinsonian syndrome, he had a medical aid. But in the last several years, Evans Sicily, who was a veteran, became his right hand medical aid. And was at his elbow all the time. And in those last days with Barbara, was there basically around the clock. And the same with the president. And while I might get a call from Neil or Jean, usually it was Evan and in the last week or two, both of their wives. I would check in with Evan once or twice a day. And it was usually when I got the call to come, we felt like it was the end. It was from heaven. And then he was there around the clock as we got into the funerals. He was just incredible people. And I think they much as we all did, who were around the present. Love them so much. The other day, just the other day was the fourth anniversary of the burial of the president. And I kind of pinged Evan and gene, and I said, can you believe it's been four years since we were all together for that great man? And all of a sudden, the time had flown by him. But we also said we missed working together. You know, father, you allude to the fact that your family was part of the bush extended family, and you had vacation up at Kenny bunk port. You're kind of like the pastor in a prayer for Owen meany who gets invited every year out to the island. I don't know if you've read that. But your 14 year old son walks out in his boxer shorts brushing his teeth and HW pats him on that and said, make sure you use the jet ski. What are your kids think about them now? I mean, it's been a few years since that they're probably all adults. What do they think about them now? They are. They are. Well, I think they feel that way. They felt like they were fortunate to be brought into the under the wings of two people who they felt were another set of grandparents or another great aunt and uncle, because from the moment they met them, they were treated like that. And I think because the fact that they really did not watch their presidency as children, it took a while for them to kind of realize the scope of who they were. But they were never treated in any way other than welcome to the family. And glad to have you around. And they would, again, when we would visit with the president of Barbara, they would always inquire about the kids and what they were up to and how they were doing and warm affection for them. I don't know anybody who was around them who didn't have that warm affection for them. I've never had the experience of anyone not like. I never understood 92. People get upset about elections. I remember driving home. I was my first presidential election in 1992, and I've been on the radio all night long, and Bill Clinton had won, and I just couldn't believe I just couldn't believe that America didn't want George H. W. Bush back. And there are a lot of reasons for that, but it was a turning point..

"Her. Oh, absolutely. Yeah, at the end of the book. Yeah. That was in the portion where I reflected on what Christians believe about why. And Peter Marshall, the great senator of the Senate chaplain, many years ago, used to tell this story that mother was in rating to her son who was dying and very weak, and he used to play outside and little boys do, but as this disease progressed, he had to come inside. And she would read to him. And she was in the middle of reading a story to her son about the knights of the round table. And then we're talking about battles and soldiers dying in battle, et cetera. And her son kind of turns to mom, what do you think it's like to die? And she knew exactly why he was asking the question and she kind of padded him and said, give me just a minute. She goes out to the kitchen and the house. And literally kneels down. And praise. How do I answer this to my son? And she opens her eyes and looks up and on the refrigerator, there's a picture of her son with her older son, his older brother. And so she comes back out and sits back down with her son and says, you know, honey, you've asked me what do you think? What is it like to die? And I don't know. I haven't died, but I suspect it's something like this. And you remember when you were strong and healthy and you would go out and play in the afternoons and you would come in and some of those efforts you were so tired, you just fall asleep on the sofa and I didn't have it in me to wake you up because I knew how much you needed your sleep. And so I would have your older brother take you in his arms and carry you upstairs and put you in your pajamas and weigh you down in your bed and you would go to sleep and you would then wake up the next morning, still in your home, but in a different room. And she said, I think it's something like that. We go to we go to sleep in one room of our father's house. And we wake in another room and our father's house. I think that's probably what it's like. It's a beautiful story in a beautiful book. Not only talking about HW and Barbara for a second, I did not know, I know a lot about the Bush presidency and the first family and I didn't know that he crashed twice. I thought he only crashed once until I read your book. So, you know, there's a reason why portraits need to be written. This is not a definitive authoritative biography like the meacham. This is a portrait of people that you pastored and you put in there enough that we get stuff that we didn't know and I didn't know about bar being a Presbyterian. I didn't know about Barbara Bush being a president. And I didn't know that the former president had crashed twice into the drink. He must have felt blessed forever. I think he did, and I do think, particularly the one that we all know about that you hear a lot about. When his two comrades died in that plane crash. And, you know, there have been a lot of stories where he kind of was bobbing around in the Pacific. And at that time, just thinking about being rescued. But then he's rescued and pulled on the finback submarine and back. And then at 19 years old is asking why did I make it? He's also not partying because he's back on the boat. Maybe he did. I don't know. But he started asking at 19 years old, why did God spare me? And I think that's an important perspective. I think that kind of set the bar for him. And he began to ask that question. And as I said, there have been all people have said he would joke in the end of his life. We spare me to be married to Barr. Although, I don't think that was a joke. I think that was a serious, but I do think, you know, he was rescued, got on the boat, spent some time on that, but rescuing other sailors, and he asked himself, why did God spare me? And I think he asked that question a lot throughout his life. I'm here for a purpose. God has me here on Planet Earth for purpose. And we all mercifully got to see that purpose, play out in his life..

"Everyone has a favorite anecdote in a book. Everyone will read a book and the fetch and misses will have a different favorite anecdote. But mine is the fact you get a call most Sundays when he was president from George H. W. Bush, checking up on the people at Saint Martin's. And by the way, that's church. When I was a Roman Catholic, my wife is a Presbyterian and I also served as a Presbyterian elder. And our church blew up in the church battles of the last ten years. PC USA blew up. And so it doesn't exist anymore. And it's a hole in the soul, right? But what HW did when he would call you on Sunday afternoon, he just keeping his church close to him, wasn't he? Right. So that was the first rector of Saint Martin's back in those days, Tom bagby. And then his successor called Payne, but absolutely continued to stay in touch with those fellows. I've been here 15 years. The church is relatively young, 70 years old. But I'm the fourth senior pastor. And he stayed in touch with each of the pastors of the years of directors over the years. And I think, you know, often whenever we would visit together, if I come in and it had been a while, they'd been domain and coming back to Houston or we were going up to Maine. He would always say, now, how are things? Start by saying, how are things going at the church? And he always likes to say, now we're still the largest of this church, right? Yeah. We are. Is Charles Kraft still alive, by the way? He is, yes. Okay. Mister Kraft, you have presented a picture of diplomacy with non believers that ought to be emulated everywhere. You want to tell people about that? Yeah, so Charles Kraft was a member of the vestry, the governing board of the charts. And Madeleine Murray O'Hare had showed up with a bevy of atheistic protesters. And shut up at the church one day. And actually decided because the president was giving an address in the church. And decided they were going to protest the president, protest the church, protest our faith. And so the rector who was busy with the president said Charles out to the street corner to say, misses miss O'Hare, you know, I just want to ask you a question or two as you all protest here. Do you believe in the separation of church and state? She said, well, of course we do. And as I say in the book, with a bell of coast response. And he said, what can I see? Here, the sidewalk, this part right here is that's state. And this part over here, right on the other side of the side, that's church. And so there's the separation and just keep that in mind as your protesting. But if you'd like to come in and worship with us, we'd be delighted to have you with us. And then at some point, she held up a letter and said, well, I have a letter for the president. And Charles said, well, we're not the post office that's happens to be down the street. So we want to deliver that to the post office. They'll take care of it for you. It's a winsome. That's the way to deal. I mean, you must have had to deal with that repeatedly in your years when HW was there. And when the other bushes were there, let me talk about something that I think will encourage many people to buy this. If they've experienced loss of a child, there is a story in witness to dignity, about a mother whose child is dying of leukemia on the couch who asks, what happens? Would you tell that story, father Levinson? Yeah, Barbara's the death of Robin. Well, rob no, I'm talking about the refrigerator when the mom walks in and sees.

"Bush. I don't know if you know that, but he's just been ordained and his ministering in Charlottesville. I got to ask you, when you wrote this, did anyone in the family think even for a moment? Maybe we don't want maybe we don't want the priest telling the story of the suffering, because the suffering is enormous, actually. No, I think when I did when I did ask the children, all of them could have moved down this road. They said, yes, but of course they said, they all said, we do want to see it. We want to see the finished product or draft before it goes off. And so I sent that off and nobody had any changes. And the president and Barbara were so open and opaque in many ways, transparent in many ways. And I think part of the story is that they, you know, they showed others how to even age with dignity and die with dignity. And I think people want to know that that piece of their lives. And I wanted them to know that. So I think the family was very supportive. In fact, if I ever ran up against something, I thought, well, should I include this? I would actually send it to family members and say, are you okay with me including this? And they gave it the thumbs up. Well, it's remarkably candid and open. And Marvin's note to you. I've only met Marvin once, but his note to you is certainly a ratification of that. And I don't know, Neil at all. But I got to say, Neil reading to his father in his last day, the kind of brings a tear to your eyes. And I wonder, why do you think people who are approaching the end of this life on the threshold of the next want to be read to so much? I think in part, the president and Barbara, they loved reading, which that was misses bush's legacy is her literacy. Pace. But I think hearing the voice of loved ones when perhaps you don't have the ability to pick up and hold a book for a long period of time. I don't think I ever saw either of them into audible books. I never saw them with headphones in their ears listings. So I think they like to hear, have the hard copy in their hands or have somebody close by. And it was a way just to filling in a precious and I mean that precious time to have. And frankly, Neil did that at the end. He did that. He started that process about a year and a half, two years before the president had passed away. He would come over in the afternoons and read when he was in town, almost every day. If he was in town, Neil would come over the house. He lived right across the street and went to the president. What a wonderful example. If anyone reads this book, they will know, look, I'm going to learn about HW bar, but I'm going to learn about how to take care of aging parents. I mean, that's really part of this mission of this book is what do you do? I'm going to give it to all my kids and say, okay, when I, you know, if I have a long going, here's what you do. You act like George Jeb Marvin doro and Neil. And I got him the order mixed up, but that's what you do. I mean, isn't it amazing that and the children reflect their parents raising, don't they? Oh, absolutely. You know, they're all still very involved in service and self sacrifice, even in 43 stepped away from office that didn't mean he stopped serving others. And the governor, who wrote the four to the book, Jeb, very much involved in education initiatives, you know, you're right, all the children, they're all Marshall. They all are very involved in continuing to live out the way their parents would have wanted them to do, which is to continue to serve as long as you can up until the end..

"Father Levinson, good morning. Thank you for joining me. Good morning. Thank you for having me on. Do I be with you? However, the right reverend would be a bishop and you're right. I wouldn't want to be a bishop. Do you know John Taylor, the bishop in LA? He's my old friend from Nixon years long ago. I don't know if that is that the same episcopal churches you're in. I don't know him. I don't know him. Well, he's the bishop of LA and I think when you get appointed bishop, your life just sort of goes crazy. I'm glad you're not because otherwise you wouldn't have written this book and witnessed a dignity is a powerful portrait of the former president and former First Lady, but it's also an apologetic that is uniquely it's just got like this superpower apologetic and did you intend that? I think to some degree at the beginning here, I did, but I think as I moved further along toward the end, I absolutely then thought, well, this needs to be part of the story. And in fact, and I appreciate all your converts. Those are wonderful words, but I think it's chapter 17 or 18 was kind of a closing chapter on the current state of where things are in our court culture in our country with the divisiveness and all that. And that the bush is wives and the way they live their lives was an invitation to consider doing business in a different way. But when I finished, I actually finished the book, I walked in the other room and told my wife, I said, well, I just finished, but that's kind of a downer. Spot think I want to, I want to add a chapter on what Christians believe about life after death. And so I completely finished and that went back and added that last chapter. Because. Bush's farm believed in life after death, and I thought, what a better way to end than that. Will you tell the story? I'm going to get to the bushes. And I had to wrestle this book away from the fetching misses Hewitt because we both love HW and Barbara. And we know some members of the family and his nephew Jamie is a very good friend of mine, and his grand nephew is my godson. So if everyone should know, I'm pro bush at the beginning of this thing. But now they got a episcopal priest in the family in San.

"And he left a lot of the heavy work to Barbara. Because he was a busy man. He was busy. He was busy. He was gone. He was not there and so she, you know, she had to do when they were young. It was really hard because, you know, she had to take these kids to soccer and band practice and all this stuff that, you know, moms have to do. But she had this sort of special relationship with W, with her son, George W. Bush, there was just something about the two of them that was unique and unusual. And I love their relationship, and I loved writing about it. And I love talking to Barbara about it, you know? Of course she loved all of her children. Obviously, but there is something about W and, you know, and when I met W a couple of times I've met him, the only thing I can say about George W. Bush is I think he's like one of the nicest people that you would ever want to meet. You know, I was not a fan of his presidency. You know, pretty much at all. But I'm a fan of his. You know, I think that he, I think he is the kind of public servant who's got a great heart. And he really cares. And Barbara Bush really cared. And I think the two of them were very similar in the way that they sort of approached life. W, was an alcoholic when he was younger. And he managed to beat that back, he had a lot of mistakes. He was sheep Barbara Bush was very critical of him. In the same way that her mom was critical of her, but he was tougher, I think than she was..

"Then she had, you know, she had her battles with Nancy Reagan. The First Lady at that time, Ronald Reagan's wife, and sounded like many, many people had battles with Nancy Reagan for what I've read, yeah. It's so funny because people often come up to me and say, you know, I loved your book about Nancy Reagan. And I'm like, really, thank you, but I didn't write one. People just assume that Jay Randy terror really by now has written a Nancy Reagan biography. You know? And I have it. But that doesn't mean I won't. But she's such a compelling character. Nancy Reagan. She saw a strong woman. I mean, this is somebody who is a cut above all other first ladies. And she and Barbara Bush, you know, just had this sort of difficult tense relationship. And I really think a lot of it had to do with the fact that Nancy Reagan reminded Barbara of her mom. If you look at the pictures of Pauline and my book of Barbara Bush's mother in my book, you see a little bit of Nancy Reagan in her. I think that that triggered Barbara. And I think that I think that, you know, the fact that Nancy was critical of Barbara Bush. And critical of the bushes, and she called them the shrubs. Instead of the bush. You know, that kind of criticism reminded Barbara of her childhood. It triggered her and they had 8 years of complexity, which I wrote about in the book. And but I'm a big fan of Nancy Reagan's, but you know what, I'm a big fan of all first ladies. You know, I think that offers ladies have, you know, a responsibility and a job that is un it's not described. Like we know what the president's job is. But there's not a job description for First Lady. It's your responsibility when you get in there to make something of it. You know, like what is your agenda going to be?.

"You know, so much of what you write is, I mean, it's like everything that people want in a memoir by someone like you. It's got the interviews and it's got the drama and it's got some wonderful things. And so I have a question. Yeah. Was there ever a time when you were sitting down to interview someone? And you sort of had to, you had a line of questioning that you had set up. You had answers, you thought they were going to give, but that it kind of went off the rails. And you had to sort of abandon your original plan and pivot on the spot. I mean a lot, I talk about the one where George Herbert walker Bush came in, unexpectedly after I was getting a tour of The White House from Barbara Bush talking about the Dolly Madison T set, et cetera because it was the anniversary of the construction of The White House. And he popped in unexpectedly. So that was probably the most vivid time for me that I had to completely like. And suddenly changed directions. I have to say at that in that interview, I did have Jeff Zucker in my ear because, you know, I was thinking about that interview in the last couple of days. And I was so, so focused on learning everything in The White House and the provenance of all these antiques and paintings and the John Singer-Sargent and yada yada yada that, you know, this was during the Iran contra stuff and it was all kinds of things were happening in the world. And honestly, I wasn't prepared to do a full on interview with the president of the United States. So Jeff was incredibly helpful because I thought I was going to run out of questions. You know, I was just kind of stunned that he was suddenly in front of me and Jeff was helping me kind of guide me with some suggestions in my ear, which was really, really helpful..

"Funding headlines about the fashion yesterday? Oh, I tried Ignore everything from yesterday. Tell me about the fashion mock. Well, I mean, it was You know, everybody looked fine, but the way that the media reacted to, For example, the turquoise Get up that Jill Biden was in or you know, Connell is purple, too Well, Hillary look like a giant grape. I did see that they were coming in as I was leaving. It was on the television. But I just want because how many times on the chicks on the right show on our show? How many times have we reminded everybody that Melania Trump is an actual supermodel like that's literally how she made her lie? Right. And if you look at her fashion choices over the past years that she's been the first lady, she was flawless. I mean, she looked. I can't think of an outfit that she wore that I was like, Oh, my God, That's dreadful. She looked amazing all the time. Almost all the time. Now this may shock you mock. But look, you know me. I'm first admit my fault. I know nothing about fashion. That's okay. Let's look at the way I'm dressed. Now. I know that shocking to believe, but so I don't understand any of this. I don't get any of this. It all looks the same to me. But apparently, some of it's a bigger deal than other stuff. It's a big deal now because because there's Democrats in the White House, so, for example, listen to the way that this headline was worded. There was a picture of Joe Biden of Jill Biden and Kamila Okay, and this headline from refinery, 29 said. Dr Biden is bringing American fashion back into the White House, starting with this subtle, sparkly coat. Didn't Melania were like a $7000 something? Leaving the White House when he was carrying a $70,000.70? What's What's times 10 bucks? Friends? Yeah, so look again. It's all you might all be Britain and You know Chinese to me. I know nothing about it. It all looks the same. But I'm certainly going to guess the person who was an actual supermodel might know a thing or two about fashion. I don't know for them to write that Jill Biden is bringing fashioned back. Back. You know what you know who had fashion Barbara Bush. Now there's a broad who knew how to get down. Barbara. God bless, sir. Um All right. We need to talk about sex is playing cards because apparently this is a thing. Um, um imagine being a person who I could do that I'm with you going. Imagine being a person who likes playing card games. Okay? And you're playing your woman. You're playing your card games. You're enjoying yourself. But you look at the cards and you see Kings and Queens. And in many card games, you see that kings are valued more then Queens. True story. My grandparent's once they would both retired for like 35 years, played cards together every single day. They kept a running tab I still have when they both passed away. I still have it. They kept a running tab in a giant binder of who want each game. They bet money how much they owed each other, and my grandmother passed away. Owing my grandfather over $500,000. That's amazing. Um okay, So so this woman, this card fan, her name is Indy. Melling. She's a 23 year old. She was very upset. Very upset about the quote, settle inequality that was displayed on playing cards because kings are more valuable than queens, and she was sick and tired of it. So she decided after encouragement from her dad, she decided that she would design her own deck of cards with gold. Silver in And bronze in place of Kings, Queens and Jacks, apparently forgetting all about the fact that Jax were not as valuable as Queens. So it seems like a colossal waste of time. But this was really important to her. And what she said about it was, and I quote if we have this hierarchy that the king is worth more than the Queen Then this subtle inequality influences people in their daily lives because it's just another way of saying, Hey, you're less important. Can you imagine? Can't being so miserable in your existence? That this is what you come up with. This is what satisfies you. And being that miserable and bad is apparent that you go you go, Honey. You're doing great. You're doing important work. What? What? I can't I can't fathom taking something this stupid to my father and have presented that I would have been mortified. I know. And yet this has happened and it's happened in such a way that it is actually a news story that we're now talking about. Now. It'll become a thing. If you watch mark within three years, assures were sitting here. That will be the way playing cards were done. I can't.
