"Everything, David, I'm Jason. Lex, Don and Kenny on this Monday March 29th 2021. We have a fun eight o'clock hours, so we're getting ready and do not turn off. If you do not watch RuPaul because this is Really about drama that went down on that episode that you will not want to miss and it has two nice It has to do with our Minnesota queen. So even if you do not watch the show, do not turn to Kathy Words or Dave Ryan. Keep it right here because there is drama. Andre, then the problem with Chet Hanks. Alexis will investigate on day then and then I have today's jumped the shark, and here's just a teaser. It's an almost eight year old jumped the shark. And it has to do with Alexis. Me and an ill fated episode of Our broadcast s. Oh, that's coming up at the end of the show. Yes, okay. Uh, But right now, let's talk about RuPaul's drag race on Friday, and not even the not even Oh, yeah. It's not even a breakdown of the episode, like we normally do here and taste test, But there was some drama that happened featuring our own unique A queen. As Alexis just said The challenge this week was a roast a roast of some of the former queen's from RuPaul's drag race. So Egypt Technique Congeniality winners, too, Yes. So s so Kenny and the my talkers. I don't watch what each of the remaining queens had to do. They had to come up with basically a comedy routine. I'm a roast and roast some some former contestants, and they're allowed to roast the judges too. And RuPaul. Well, yeah, well, you took a queen you dick had got up there. Well, first don't know. Let me actually Let me say this. They show all of the Queen's getting some advice from Michelle Massage and Loni Love. And you took a queen is doing some of her jokes in front of Michelle in Loni Love. And Loni Love and Michelle basically, said Utica. You're you're a roast is okay to be harsh. But when you step into the mean category, you got to be careful and the the joke's still have to be funny. And Utica was making fat jokes calling one of the queen's basically a whale. I am doing like this Sounds to boil down to the wheel. Yeah, like Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you spoke Whale. Yes, basically making fun of her weight, And it's important to know because it's part of Why I am very conflicted and I'll explain why Utica was warned. Went back spent basically that day and still did the fat jokes the very during the performance. She received a lot of flack and spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Unico was sent home. She went after Rue she did the fat joke to Lonnie Love and to one of the other queens. And she's getting a lot of heat for it. What do you guys say? She should get all the heat that was inappropriate. It wasn't funny. Look, stand up is hard to do. But if you have professionals, they're giving you feedback to not do it. You need to listen. I know there's like that voice inside, you need to listen to, but at the same time they're straight up saying like they're on your team. Listen to them. But then on top of that, For me specifically with Utica. It's very hypocritical to be very cognizant of not culturally appropriating on being very mindful of that in previous episodes, even though that wasn't even something but to make it something with the Afro for The painter Ross, Barbara's Bob Ross. Thank you. And then two straight up. Do a fat joke like that and multiple times. And double down and be like even whatever they were given the critique. She went on and on. Like talking back to them like Like No, We're serious. Stop, Stop. Don't do it 20 at all, and then on top of that, to the other episodes to where she's had two. She's been in the bottom of few times now, like I'm the lip sync assassin now and you know it's just this false confidence and that I love Tonto lip sync and send people home and It just It's this whole thing. I talked with this entire time with her. That's my issue was not genuine it all and pretending that you are Just doesn't fly. We can see right through it. Hallelu, Don blacks, blacks. I couldn't. I couldn't breathe. You know, Mark thought I um, after the episode, I went on her instagram, and she has apologized. And, um, a lot of people are supporting her. I mean, there's like 10,000 comments. But then there are people who said, and it made me think, you know. I don't feel like this is fair because some of the other Queens made Size jokes about candy muse. Nobody said anything about that This has been done before. You know, like making fun of someone size rose a Mentioned, Um Nina and you know, shoulder broad shoulders talked about, you know that she auditioned for the plane got the part of the stage. Um The difference is tone. Yeah, they're totally there is the difference is tone and They just the jokes weren't funny, And I feel bad because I really like her. And I think she is sincere with her apology. I think she just doesn't have which I've been. Definitely, um Uh, I have definitely had this problem in my life where I can't read the room where I don't know how I'm being taken and so kind of sympathize with her where you just aren't able to read the room. Yeah, I, uh, Here's how Here's how I feel. If this was I needed to check myself for a couple reasons first because she is a Minnesota queen. And I know her and I needed before I got in the air today. Not that this is any big deal, but I thought, Jace I I want to be thoughtful and what I say, because if it I asked myself, Jace, if this was any other queen, a queen. You didn't know on a queen That wasn't from Minnesota. Wouldn't you get on the air? And annihilate her because she's doing one of the things that bothers you the most and that size jokes. And I thought Absolutely so I because I was really uncomfortable. And I because s, so there's there's very tall and thin, and that makes it different. Yeah. And then here's the other. So there's a couple a couple pillars. There's a couple things to look at with this. Number two. So that's the one thing some wanted to be fair. I wanted to look at that. I wanted to be thoughtful and what I wanted to say about her number two. I do agree with you, Dawn and even Loni Love and Michelle said, girl. Don't worry about it. It's a roast. So there is that toe look at it is a roast and roasts are harsh. Number three, though, is It better be damn funny then. And it better be funny and not just mean And I know that seems like what but there is a subtle difference if you're gonna be harsh. You better make damn sure that that joke lands and it's funny because if not, what's gonna happen is what happened. It's gonna land you in the mean category. Um The other thing. I'm with you, Dawn. I do think her apology is sincere. But here's my final thought, Which is an ass trick. Here's where I go a little bit Where I'm like Lex, where I go. Okay, but Because she was warned. Yeah, she This is where I have a problem with her going. Ooh, I now I now understand. I mean this with respect. You didn't. You didn't find a problem with the joke the jokes when you were warned by two professionals that they were out of bounds, and you went back to the work room, and I don't know the taping schedule, but you had a inordinate amount of time to think about those jokes. And you still did them. You still didn't think that's the big difference here. It wasn't live. It wasn't an ad lib. You know, I I use this phrase a lot. And it sounds sometimes, like an excuse for people that do jobs like we do, You know, working without a net. I use that phrase a lot. Um But we all all four of us would. We don't have writer's weaken sometimes say a joke in a in a in an ad libbed moment that off you, it comes out your mouth. You're like, Oh, that probably you're trying to be funny. But the difference guys with this is not on Lee Did she practice? Not on Lee did she practice But she was told by two people that it was it was crossing a line. And she had time to think about it, and she did it anyway. And that's where I think I want and I do. I think you know this isn't that big of a meat. Come on. It's a we're talking about a show, so it's not the end of the world. Um, and I think she's a good person. But that's where her apology falls just a little flat for May. And it's not so easy Pleas E cover girl. Um, is There was time to think about it. And she still made the same decision s O. I have a feeling that and and you know the in college and I said this right before he went to bed. I don't want to psychoanalyze it. Guys. The unfortunate thing is this plays into the stereotype that a portion of the gay community has, where, you know, Skinny Queens looked down on.

They follow suit against the hospital for negligence for one hundred million dollars. A couple is asking one hundred million dollars in damages. This was huge news in our region, it was one of the biggest stories we had. When the story first came to light your responses, reporter is this can't be true. You hear about a baby swapped in the hospital. It just sounds unbelievable I think what they were hoping to do. Is this publicity could maybe help lead them to their missing child? What we went most to having right now is. To find our biological daughter before I knew very much about the case I thought. Maybe you can prove this. "Immigrants in California the federal government won't stop them at the border yet requires us to pay billions to take care of governor Pete Wilson's and the National Guard to help the border patrol but that's not all for Californians who work hard pay taxes and obey the laws I'm suing to force the federal government to control the board I working to deny state services to illegal ever enough is enough under Pete Wilson talk a little bit about that who thought of the idea for that well I think the idea was pretty obvious and I had a a challenge of sorts not much of one in the primary and that was an issue then and my opponent in the primary was on the other side that was why we did it and to draw attention to the differences so you don't think that was racist no I don't I think it was a statement of fact what's interesting to me about that in my pocket as I talk to Barbara Bob Kiley the consultants behind when eighty seven and they said it they thought it was racist that when they sai their jaws dropped and they said if I gonna help Pete Wilson's campaign but it's not gonna help our because now all of a sudden race has been injected into a conversation that was just supposed to be about numbers legal versus illegal so what would be your response to that my response is that if they were consultants they were not a ring their fees because in fact what I intended to do was to make it clear that this was a real problem and a problem of growing magnitude in fact at some point during the campaign probably several points I said if this does not succeed if we do not get the feds attention and take them into some kind of responsible action then what is now a problem for the border states will be one for all the states it will spill over first into the south and then into the Midwest can you see why people think that adds racist though well like take someone like myself a lot of people whose parents did come to this country legally and then they see you know footage with the voice they keep coming almost as it's a bad thing so in the minds of some people that like that day is us so I can really see why people think it's racist you have to agree with that statement yeah well I don't agree obviously and what I think the people who were here who are offended by that might think did not alter the facts and the facts words that there were also in California a great many naturalized Latino who were doing just fine do you think at the end of everything here we are twenty five years later proposition one eighty seven one yeah one eighty seven not only one but it won by a landslide of course I'm talking about the bigger metaphorical picture did one eighty seven when well if you mean that did it achieve its purpose no because I mean we knew it would be sued would be filed the next day after the tone yeah that was not that was not a surprise it was an expectation twenty five years later Democrats control super majority of the chambers of the legislature how do you feel that so many Latinos directly credit one eighty seven and your campaign against illegal immigration as inspiration for them to enter political life to frankly become radicalized I'll give you the example my cousins my cousins they belong there construction workers blue collar alright dad came to this country without papers all my cousins are basically they should be Republicans they do not like taxes they do not like snow flakes are not social justice warriors all they think about the Republican Party is what happened in nineteen ninety four they think about you and in their minds they remember okay a generation ago we were told that our people are cells were destroying California I don't believe that I'm gonna vote for the Democrats even though I don't want to what would be your response to my cousins who feel that way that they have been misinformed they have been misled if they have been told by the Democratic Party that they are being discriminated against by racists that's been the line and there's been no subtlety and that is one of the things that I find beneath contempt to deliberately mislead people like your cousins who are good people but who have been taught something that is untrue they've been taught that they are surrounded by racists on the other hand though some of my cousins were undocumented you propose I'm not going to public schools and and people like myself not being able to get American citizenship because our parents were undocumented so at what point are we supposed to believe you when you say we have been misled with all that rhetoric you can see an entire generation of people who came up with that families being undocumented like Hey maybe we have an issue with governor Wilson I'm sure I can see that because that's all they knew that's what they had been told repeatedly and it's untrue but that's what they knew but you did want to band birthright citizenship and deny undocumented children going to school so long as we you propose at least what I wanted yeah because what we wanted and what the people who had done it the right way wanted I mean no one was more vociferous then Latinos who had become naturalized citizens they resent it others being able to cut to the head of the line so then what would be your your response into our family like you're hearing this you didn't do it the right way if the ad that we ran said that there is a right way and a wrong way to come to America how do you feel about charges that Donald trump's campaign or issue on illegal immigration is just a repeat of what you allegedly did twenty five years ago well it's not the same in terms of tone we have made a concerted effort and I challenge the members of the Latino caucus and everybody else and every time I have ever challenged him to find one word that could be construed as racism in the campaign for one eighty seven they have been unable to do so and they come back to the they keep coming that's right yeah that's right well you know I'm happily that was a statement of fact and in the twenty years since then it has been proven to twenty five years since then that prediction it's been proven true and it's unfortunate listen we as a nation are the most generous in terms of welcoming immigrants of any country in the world we welcome them because we need them we value them you know those who have come from other countries in earlier waves of immigration have not always been welcomed far from it most of them have and most of them have not three of my four grandparents were immigrants to this country I'm damn grateful they had the moxie to come it was not easy my maternal grandmother came at the age of sixteen and Sturridge by herself so I not only am not and I emigrants never have been but to the contrary value the continuing energy drive guts the talent that has been brought to this country by people who came as legal immigrants do you think one eighty seven ultimately created the California we're in today it certainly helped yeah and frankly the California we have the day needs fixing desperately needs fixing listen the vote for for one eighty seven by the way wasn't just Republicans it was an awful lot of independence in a lot of Democrats fifty nine forty one in fact at one point there was a report I believe by the Los Angeles Times that a majority of Latino voters in the state I think you're yeah story made that point were for and then at the end seventy three percent voted against it well it's because every day every day they were being told that they were victims of racism that is an ugly smear and in non troops mayor that is why I can think is beneath contempt you will soon served as governor of California from nineteen ninety one to nineteen ninety.

"Welcome to let you know USA I might be a wholesome and today we have something very special for you a reporting collaboration between Latino USA and the Los Angeles Times artist so he's called the battle of one eighty seven and without scene anymore I'm gonna turn it over for the whole episode to LA times reporter and long time friend of Latino USA stubble all right was double take it away some people call them illegal immigrants others use the words undocumented aliens I can have all sorts of names nice and not for the eleven million or so people in the United States who are not legal residents I have a different name for them friends family people I grew up with and my death maybe in there and not Conway le they will come in and have a dentist that is specialized that's him Lawrence o'donnell he's telling me about the first time across the border in nineteen sixty eight to come to the US jammed in the trunk of a Chevy so being a so called illegal immigrants was never a big deal to me in fact I don't even know people hated them until I was a sophomore in high school when something happened that I'll never forget it's October nineteen ninety four I'm fifteen years old outside Anaheim high school go colonists and the school days done some walking home when out of no where some white boys yell at me from a truck at first I don't know what they're saying then I make it out there shouting one eighty seven one eighty seven and I looked at them and I'm like all like I just didn't understand what they meant so I walk home a turn on the news and there I see protestors again some things proposition one eighty seven a group in Savannah has collected six hundred thousand signatures in favor of an initiative that would bar undocumented children from public schools and it turns out that this being targets people like like that its authors say illegal immigration is destroying California about the only thing both sides agree on is that if the initiative called prop one eighty seven passes it would have far reaching effects in California and could influence the national debate over immigration I think about those white police the one eighty seven dollars Anaheim high they don't know if I have papers or not but they don't care they're obviously yelling at me because I'm a Mexican and for them that's no different than being a quote unquote the legal wonder stand why this story matters you have to take a look around the California today the state is a beacon for progressive politics in the US a land of environmentalism and multi culturalism were vegans increases Rome and taco trucks stand on every corner and is the center of the hashtag resistance to president trump and his policy the trump administration in California are swearing off again California is vowing to take the administration to court after the trump administration announced that the twenty twenty census will include a question about citizenship the state of California announced it would suit to challenge that decision Democrats controlled both chambers of the state capitol with super majority they hold all offices of California's executive branch but it wasn't always this way California was one something of a red state rallies the purple one it gave the U. S. Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan in nineteen ninety four California also gave us proposition one eighty seven it was one of the harshest laws targeting immigrants in modern US history and that same year the state gave us this at they keep coming two million illegals in California the federal government won't stop them at the border yet requires us to pay billions to take care of it was a campaign spot for governor Pete Wilson a Republican running for reelection that want to be scary voice plays over grainy footage of people spreading across the US Mexico border like it was some five K. run and then the ad ends with this really hopeful angelic music as Pete Wilson promises to crackdown on quote unquote them I'm suing to force the federal government to control the borders enough is enough twenty five years later proposition one eighty seven and Pete Wilson made the Golden State more than in the you're probably saying wait but that's what this episode is all about about the time in nineteen ninety four California Republicans want to warn against illegal immigration and lost and how the legacy of those battles from twenty five years ago influences America even today because before president trump there was proposition one eighty seven illegal immigration is going to stop it's dangerous it's terrible we we don't we we don't have remember that now let's begin our story one fall nineteen ninety three doctor gray an ice cube are bump in on the radio in southern California the whole state is still reeling from Rodney king and the LA riots national pundits say the California dream is over and in the pretty suburban town of your Belinda Orange County proposition one eighty seven is about to be born your Belinda's Nixon country literally he was born here big suburban track homes that owners try to pass off as if they're in old Mexico with a tiled roof and street names in Spanish not many Mexicans around here though just saying I don't know yeah Barbara Bob Kiley live here in a two story home with nineteen eighties era tan carpet and fluffy couches they're out of the game the four years they manage local Republican campaigns as political consultants I'm visiting Barbara Bob because they ran the one eighty seven campaign you could say there one eighty seven the likely godparents unlikely because we actually did not see illegal immigration is a big problem for us we will bill nice community we can see it but we did have a friend by the name of Ron prince and Ron was really looking to get involved Ron prince plays a big part in our story lanky with bushy eyebrows and a comb over he was a gadfly local Republican politics he wanted to do a statewide proposition on anything in California anyone who gets enough valid signatures around four hundred thousand of them at that time can place a proposition on the ballot about anything so Ron prince according to Barbara wanted to think of an idea that might actually have a chance of passing and they tell him go find an issue people really care about L. Ding dong on the doorbell on Saturday morning he said I think I have one I just got ripped off by an illegal alien and he was supposed to be a contractor to rip me off so here's what happened Ron said a contractor he was working with rip them off for half a million dollars according to Ron the guy was an illegal Canadian later on reporters we tracked down the contractor and it would turn out he was a legal resident but anyways Ron thanks legal immigration that's a winner and he goes out with his legal pad to a grocery store up the block from the Cali's home and ask people a simple question do you believe illegal immigration is a problem in California he comes back with pages of signatures on that first time first time you know Ron so here we're going to come back to Ron prince the Kylie's in a second first a little history it's easy to forget new comers is as California tree as first weeks in an out double double cheese burgers what you should have passed laws against nearly every new group to arrive here Chinese Japanese Jews African Americans Chileans I mean who doesn't like Chile even okay in the late twentieth century California's demographics are changing fast by nineteen ninety the number of white residents did to less than sixty percent of the state's population while the number of Latinos grew to twenty five percent more immigrants legal and not wearing California than ever before there was this madness that's Peter Nunez who used to be the US attorney for the San Diego area there he got a close up of the California Mexico border he had what they called bends I charges were before sunset literally thousands of people were lined up on the south side of the border if you will today Noone uses the chairman of the board for the center for immigration studies a controversial think tank that want to reduce immigration to the US and soon as the sun would go down basically they all started north and you had you know maybe fifty border patrolman who knocks hundred let's say a hundred people Sellin tacos and bottled water and be like a big party like a big party waiting for the Sunday now well immigration is increasing in California economic anxiety is also on the rise the Cold War is ending causing the state to lose tens of thousands of middle class jobs in the defense industry a big part of the Golden State economy the state suffers from an epic drought a nationwide recession compounds everything by nineteen ninety one in just a second year in office governor Pete Wilson faces a twelve and a half billion dollar budget shortfall any quickly put some of the blame undocumented immigrants California legislators are proposing bills against that and here comes Ron friends with his cowboy boots on his clipboard a guy from boring Tustin California with pay back on his mind so run goes to his friends the Kylie's there you're Belinda political consultants with this big idea to try to pass something against immigrants first of all we didn't even know there were anti illegal immigration groups out there we never gone to a meeting we never got a letter in the mail we didn't even know they existed but the Kylie say what the hell and they sign on to help run with his costs they see it as a gate a puzzle to figure out so the experiment was could you collect enough signatures for and pass a grass roots proposition with no big money behind it just simply enough are there enough people involved and angry about the situation first things first they need to assemble a committee of people to write it you know we just what okay what do you know they look around to begin to put together a kind of rag tag adventures or sandals the pending on who you're rooting for California anti immigration hawks they start with Harold is at least to work for the INS the immigration and naturalization service what we're saying is anybody that is in here lately should not be rewarded for coming illegally before working for the I. N. S. Herald or how for short was an executive at Wiener schnitzel hot dog fast food chain he has a reputation as a loud mouth with a singular obsession to stop illegal immigration in reference to undocumented immigrants he once told time magazine if you catch you ought to clean them and frying yourself hello actually knew everybody who is involved in it anti illegal immigration movement through how the Kylie's hooked up with Alan else Allen was house former boss at the I. Ennis illegal alien comes without any checking and they often bring the diseases some also contagious diseases are being brought in by the illegal they also connect with a woman named Barbara coe she's a former crime analyst for the Anaheim police department and a petite chain smoker who wears a granny glasses more people eventually joined but this is the core of the pro one eighty seven crew they're an odd mix a former immigration officials and middle aged suburbanites so we started to have meetings with their Avengers assembled at a private members only club in Costa mesa they start to work on writing the.

"Really really appreciative of the privilege and the chance to learn a lot more about George H W Bush and to build a share in the grief and the stories of the man who has left us, and we'll be buried officially tomorrow. Didn't show the word lie in repose. I'm like what is that? Isn't that? I'm always like what the heck what did it make things so hard to figure out? It just means lying rest position of rest, relaxing. Although, let's let's be honest. If your dead is hard to be relaxed, right? I mean, can you be relaxed when you're dead, you're dead. But nonetheless, I guess he's lying in a relaxing position. Right. Even though he's not relaxing because he's not with us anymore. But. George W Bush's daughter Jenna Bush Hager recited a passage from revelation. The city has no need of sun or moon on it for the glory of God is it's light. And it's lamp is the lamb. The nation's will walk by slight and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. It's gates will never be shut by day. And there will be no night. They're awesome. Awesome. Awesome. And I you better believe I love the reference to. The three year old daughter, Robin. I believe who towards H W Bush lost to Kenya. Which is just. Horrific. I have a dear friend and mentor who lost his daughter at six, and it's a very special. Pain. And unlike anything that most folks will ever go through so to club that nobody wants to be in. Right. But he is in that club that George H W Bush, and he gets to hold his daughter's hand as George W Bush said and he gets to hug Barbara again. I'm also, very inspired and have been about Bob Barbara's. Bob, his love for Barbara and his courtship and everything's fantastic. Hey to listeners have already pointed out to me, which means thousands of screaming at the radio at me. Like, duh, you moron. Right. They the order of president to the seating went from. You know, the most recent to the the oldest, you know, what I'm saying, you know, like. So as I'm looking at the picture. Yeah. It went Trump Obama Clinton Carter. And obviously w was not there because he is the one who is suffering right now. And he was speaking at the time. But and then behind him was Biden and Cheney thankfully Cheney did not have a shotgun. So we could shoot somebody by accident again. Right. I'll never let that one. That was too much fun. Wasn't it? Oh, man. I didn't care even though there's a big supporter of the bush-cheney. Regime or office there at the time it happened. I had so much fun with that. How can you not right? Eight hundred two eight eight WBZ AP is our number eight hundred two eight nine two two seven. Oh my gosh. One of the most pathetic. And stupidest things that was brought up in the coverage. This was in the Dallas Morning News today was a reporter talking about comments about the wall that fell on Bush's watch. Listen to this because this is totally crazy. What's comments about the wall that fell on Bush's watch the one between east and west Berlin brought to mind the one that Trump has demanded between the United States and its southern neighbour Mexico. Does this idiot writer not to not get it? Does this idiot writer not know east and west Germany were one country. Whenever separate countries. You know, what I mean, it wasn't like he was what this woman or man. Who have this wasn't wrote has no idea what they're talking about. What the hell are you thinking? Wow. Okay. And what a stupid stupid comment the Dallas Morning News today. What a stupid stupid comment. What a I just want to sit on that for minute comments about the wall that fell on Bush's watch the one between east and west Berlin. Brought to mind the one that Trump has demanded between the United States and southern neighbour Mexico. Am I am? I missing something. Where we once one country together where he wants maximum Erica or America co or something because there's something I'm missing are. Where are we North America? And south of the border is South America. Because we put up a wall, you know, because of communism or something there's something I'm missing or it could be that'd be communism. I'm gonna stupid stupid stupid comment. One is the sovereignty of a nation. I don't see them commenting about China's wall. I like to make by Trump joke. My son. I don't know if he came up with this. Everybody says it all the time, and it makes me laugh so much. It's picking on Trump in a good way and having fun. China China has it will end it has almost no Mexicans. Shoot. Just.

"Especially west of Boston fifty seven Friday, clouds and sun, sixty four Saturday seventy four Sunday sixty four again. It's on. I feel kinda cheated. You know, I like that fall. And it just ain't fall. It is fall and. In Finland though. I'll tell you about that later six one seven two five four ten thirty WBZ open lines anything you wanna talk about. It's fine. We have Barbara in Matthew win. Hello, barbara. Bob. Yes. Sorry, Bradley and Paul by dad show win. I can't believe I used to think she was such an intelligent woman and the last man, I wanna be a relative of them did this is not the deck ages. Unfortunately, things of the sexual nature could not be brought up because people had a hard time with the male population understanding, and I think this is absolutely absurd that they should have such a terrible terrible side that you can raise such even groping incident, a private patch show me Neil. I. Joins us. Joann said she shared a story about how she was assaulted in a hallway on Marlborough street shoved up against the wall by a stranger in itself, which is in itself assault. That's that's what happens when you get robbed on the street. You know, it's an assault. And then person grabbed her crotch in her words, and she says to women ladies get over it. I just I'm surprised by that. And then you heard the other people agreeing with her. I'm surprised so many people agree with that sexual assaults. No big deal. That's actually showing chauvinistic attitude. I'm so upset you have no idea. I'm a woman in her nineties and believe me years ago, we had Doboy said all and and the and the woman that has accused this person took ID chested tests, and she passed it with flying college. Now, it was going to make any difference to these people. I doubt it, and I'm so upset badly that you have no idea. And I just hope that other women will come forward. They haven't had experiences but lived in the past where we had no choice at all. And I really thank you for taking my call. And and be well, and I hope that this woman JoAnn was think over she was lucky. She says somebody heard her screaming, and they man that was trying to. Get get away from her. He's somebody else was there. That's exactly right. Exactly. Right. And her friend said if you don't like it, go should I to go in the car, and John if I remember correctly. I shaking I can't believe that in twenty eight chain that would be such stupidity. And don't forget Bill in their agreed with JoAnne, basically. And then we had the next gentleman who has so. Foaming at the mouth us difficult to understand. So you see you say it's not the dark ages, but really Barbara it's still is. Absolutely, absolutely. I thought we came so far out in the woods is they call it. But kid think that I would not want to be a male a female, relative these people that have called in the last few calls, right? Thank you very much. Appreciate it. Thanks, barbara. Welcome goodbye. Bradley by Barbara. Make sure you call on other nights to Nick Vasu. All right, Nick. This has to be some a bit different from your other phone calls cannot be the same old thing. So go ahead. Bradley, Bradley, so glad to have you back. I miss you. I really appreciate you. And I appreciate your show. I'm so happy to have you back as far as the Cavanaugh Cavanaugh you appointment. I think it's going to be a great appointment for for the country, and these women that are coming out with these substantiate is claims, you know, it's gonna go by the wayside. You know, this congress has has, you know, pay millions of dollars. Sexual assaults that you know has been covered up. And and, you know, this guy Allison beat up his girlfriend, and this and that, but you know, nothing to see here with along. So I think Bradley it's gonna be a good appointment for the supreme court. These unsubstantiated allegations are you know, just that woman that woman said that she was assaulted into get over it. No big deal. Well, listen, I have I have a sister that was assaulted, and she and she what did she do? She took out her life, and she said the guy right in the stomach. So there was an assault for an assault. So that's the way a goal is here in in in Boston, you mess around with women fight back back hide. So you know, as far as no big deal. I guess it's no big deal that the guy got stabbed in the stomach either fair enough. Thank you very much. Good call and we have Agnes in Hyde Park who go ahead Agnes, Bradley, poor Kellyanne my goodness. You put her through the wringer. He really did. I agree with her actually to tell you the truth. Because I think I think Joanna nice sort of come from the same era where today it's called sexual assault. And in those days, it was called guy being aggressive. You know, really? Yeah. Remember like actually taking a stranger and throwing them up against a wall and grabbing that crotch is. Aggressive. Well, yeah. But as far as the cabinet of cases, concerned how many seventeen year old boys? Do not try and convince a girl to have sex with them. I mean, really. Hormones, you know, and before Agnes Vince someone to have sex with him is different than. Yeah. Putting their hand over the mouth and trying to take the close up. It's just a matter of degrees. Okay. So what? So so before. It's just a matter of degrees from here. Hey, Honey, come on. Let's have sex to putting your mouth over their face. Yeah. All right. Yeah. I agree with you then. Yeah. Well, that's okay. I mean because I think we're looking at the past with the lens of today. You know because today. Okay, we might not be able you know, we might not stand for that kind of stuff. But before I don't think we really knew any better. So just to clarify Agnes. You do realize you said that. It's just a matter of degrees. It's it's from going from. Let's back up. We were talking about handover mouse. Trying to take close off said what guy hasn't tried to convince a girl to have sex. Is not convincing a girl that have sex. That's convincing a girl to have sex is hey, Honey, let's have sex. You see to be the same thing. I see it just a step forward. You know? Wow. Yeah. All right. Well, thank you. Appreciate the call. We've got folks. That's on this. I'm pretty surprised we have Bella in Cleveland. Hi. Okay. I have to say, I'm I just in my first time listening to you. I'm a millennial and fifteen that are coming out of the mouth of people that are calling in our so shocking. I mean, it's assault assault. It's never ok reaching hormones is never an excuse. Right. I I'm just not understanding where people can come from this point of view where. Oh, well, it's aggressive. It wasn't really a stop. It's assault. Do I believe this? I'm not one hundred percent on you know. We're here, but we're not dealing with the believe apart anymore. We're now dealing with what people were talking about JoAnne situation, which is an admitted thing and she said a stranger. Up against the wall chapter up against the wall and grabbed her privates are sex organs. And she says, hey, ladies get over it. And then Agnes says, you know that. Putting your hand over the woman's mouth and trying to take your clothes off is just trying to convince them to have sex. What boy hasn't tried to convince someone to have sex? I am glad to hear that. Someone who had that situation happened to myself as well just walking randomly in the street and having a guy just grab my chest. It was a violation. Whether I can come to terms with it. And and and passed it is is on me. But nobody gets to tell me that it was nothing and that I should just move on. That's not how it work this person assaulted me and needs to you know, I mean, if I if they wouldn't have just run off, I would've called the cops than I would have tried to have something done about it. It was so shocking at the time, but nobody gets to tell me that that wasn't an assault. And. That this goes beyond politics into generations of people being taught that it's okay when men sexually assault women. Right. It's it's it's an amazing thing. I mean, I come from a place where the I also taught that when I was growing up to sort of like, you know, boys can be aggressive. And and you know, you have two boys are just as responsible for their actions is I'm responsible for mine, I can take as many precautions as I need to in order to keep myself safe. But that doesn't mean eat them doing what they do. You know, there has to be everyone has to be responsible for their own actions in the cavenaugh case where this girl came ten times went to a party where she said she saw drinking where it was spiked. And and and you know, gang, rapes and all of that. And and the fact that she kept going back. I think she said ten time and then it happened to her. That's a precaution. That she needed to take the first time she saw something like that. But it doesn't if that really happened. Then it doesn't excuse the person that did that somehow someone sort of intimated that. Hey, what is Joanna expect going to a party on new Marlborough street? Hey, can you believe that? Oh, I can't believe that. I go. I wanna go. If I see something that's happening. That is, you know, something like a stall to end and first of all I mean, I feel like I would have a responsibility to call and say, listen, this is what I witnessed even at the time. But to say that I can't go to a club or Dr or something because I may get sexually assaulted is ridiculous. Right people need to be responsible for their own actions. And somebody who had thought somebody else who needs to pay the price. I'm sorry. Is this your first call? Thank you very much. Yes. You do. Oh, do me a favor. And if you have any friends your age millennials, can you turn him onto the show if they're up I really enjoyed the show. Okay. Thanks, bella. I do have to pray. I appreciate you. Having the courage to call. Now, we're going. It's WBZ NewsRadio. Ten thirty..

"If you're just tuning in. I'm gonna make you feel bad. Make you feel like you should have been from six thirty in the morning Courtney Cronin. Gave us a pretty good breakdown of the Vikings Minneapolis, and they're good. They're good. And then gymnasts came on and just Jomon, Jim charm, the pants off me as he normally will probably was walking around without pants. Well, not figuratively. Yes. Nance has that kind of power. He's got the charm did in the middle of it all we were able to slide in Jeremy because there's nothing more depressing than the giants these days and yet Affeldt was able to make it enjoyable. You know, it makes it got wonder late at night when he's alone with his thoughts. I wonder if Jeremy Affeldt will show up on the Murph and MAC is there's no way to really predict stuff like that you have to wait and see what we're getting into that stretch. Now football season. It's thanksgiving. It's Murph and MAC anytime. We'll see where it all goes. We'll see buddy. And then mayo and Schefter back tobacco boom and drink book plowed through it in one sitting did you have I not lowest three and a half hour read you had a three and a half hour clips, we can we can see her again tell you my story after we hook Barbara Bob, Bob, Bob. Bob ran Bob. Bob. Great traffic. Yeah. Barbara from San Francisco, hopefully knows the northern California Honda dealers. Call the game. Good morning, Barbara hope do what was it? Yeah. Hi, it was Aramis Garcia's home run. I think it was four of gaining. Okay. Let's listen to bitch is hit the left centerfield and pretty well. Hit holiday chasing. After in this one. He is gone. He's done it, again, just over the left field wall guards doesn't even know it. And now he starts to run again. He stopped around second. He's got a second major league home run. And the giants are head three two to four hundred twenty three foot or two. And that is the giants. Call of the game give it up for Barbara. And San Francisco he wasn't playing games hundred Mincy came in strong, courtesy of your northern California Honda dealers. And I got good news for you. Well, actually, it's not bad news. If you want to win one hundred dollars, but the good news is there's no giant's game tonight. So we will not do it tomorrow. So this is like unimpeded football attention spans tonight. Nobody's going to have a destroyed. Well, I don't even know if the green and gold going I'm not gonna I'm not even gonna spend time looking. By the way, the schedule gets considerably easier. They gotta go play Tampa Bay member next week. That's going to be an interesting seriously that will be in Tampa other than that listen to this for the for the as Texas here for the next three. Yeah. Please. Rangers are barely stand. And then they go to Baltimore to play the worst team probably in the history of baseball, by the way. Do people Orioles? I'm just saying keep an eye on the box scores. Look at the Orioles attendance. It's downright depressing. It really hits a great baseball town. And you hate to see even in a state like that where they're drawing Murph seven thousand. I mean that that's brutal dude their forty one in ninety nine. So the as tonight, I mean, hundreds is coming tonight. Congratulations to go. And then the as go to Tampa Bay that will be hard. But then other than that, then it's a homestand against the angels in the twins, which totally doable. And then they finish up the final week at Seattle and at the angel. So the question is can they catch the Astros because you know, as it is. The wildcard is an incredible achievement for these guys. Nobody saw that coming. But it is. It's such a crapshoot. It's just one one and done man, you can have one bad at bat one bad inning. And all that. But can they catch the Astros their four games in the loss column behind the Houston Astros? And dude look at the Astros GAM rolling out. Another do your boy bregman is going bananas bananas spider. We have spider Leland in for Adam Copeland news off the next couple of days. Are you checking out this bregman situation? I really wasn't aware of him of how good he was until the World Series last year where he just showed out made a bunch of really good defensive plays. That Astros team. Just the amount of talent on it between Springer and Korea now today and now you throw bregman in there. It's amazing that the as are as close as they are really doubt. You guys want to fall in love with them even more. I mean, I know as fans probably, but did you see they decided to do a little team bonding thing in honor of the NFL starting done it. They all chose NFL jerseys to wear on their trip to Washington have taken on the nationals. And you know, he picked Dante Pettis bregman is going to be wearing the Dante Pettis jersey a little tribute not just to the rookie Nana receiver to his old, man. Gerry? Who's the Astra's third base? Yeah. Right. Right. So bregman, and did you see this thing about him pulling off the James harden where he stares at the the interviewer and walks off last night now. No, he was trying to be funny. He put his hat up high. And she asked him about the nationals gives us he gave a long stare and he walked away like trying to be funny. Right. Right. Right. I don't find James harden. I wouldn't face any comedic venture on something hardens done is at the heart and move. There's a very famous gif of hardened kind of rolling his eyes. I see this way. No, I have not seen the Alex bregman thing. But I have seen the the hardest thing. I don't even need to see what he's doing to know what they're all there. Are all jacked up on hijinks down there in Houston? They're all doing the stair in the walk. I dunno Murphy. I I could take you to leave it to be honest. You talking about my Astros. Now, I am talking about your stroz, by the way, that's the team. I actually like I like watching this stroz. Well, I gotta tell you. You know, we talk Younis and how it was actually the forty Niners in the traditional red stroz. I think that returned to the blue and orange look man fantastic. It's good. Look, I think I might go ahead and say, it's the number one union baseball. He said he didn't like the JR, Richard look. Those drives through nostalgia. A while for throwback weekend. But it's not something. I'd wanna wear eighty two times Eighty-one times best union baseball spider. You're probably not going to like my answer the Oakland A's. Whoa. White. The giants hat on his head. Here's the problem is they don't wear those anywhere near consistently enough now too much. That's right, Murph. Here's where here's where any honest. Yeah. I'm going to say the inexperience of a spider. I thought you were going to say something which is pretty undeniable, which is well, Los Angeles. It's a pretty good. It's tough to tonight. Yes, it is. But I'm going to quote, my great Alan Malam to give you kids a history lesson. There was a legendary sportswriter in Latium, Allan malamud. He was a heavyset, man. Polly with a strange hair, it strange, like everything, you're saying heavyset, strange hair. Good. He had the alopicia. So he had like the no eyebrow say that's nobody's fault. What are you going to do you can do drama at the with the marker one of the most legendary sportswriter danley you could drama with the Mark? He's legendary sports writer because he knew everybody the mud you had to read Alan mala mode. Is you know, and he did notes he he's the original three dot lounge guy. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was called notes on a scorecard. Okay. In dot dot dot talk to Bruce Jenkins. He'll tell you. He's he's just he's the bay area's Allen Melamed. Polly give you a little alma trivia. He was the heavyset. Reporter who interviews Robert de Niro's raging bull. Jake lamotta poolside late in the move. How great okay. But anyway. Here's the point. Gotcha. When I was in LA when I was at UCLA need read the mud every opening day. He'd say it's opening day. And that means the Saint Louis cardinals again unanimously win best uniforms and major league baseball. Yeah. You know, ever since I read that from the mud at the diner in Santa Monica brilliant, red with the bright. Yeah. It's a good Lord on either end stuff. It's tough back because that's basically the look they've had all the way through one of those teams. They don't mess around with these kind of upgrades and changes and alternate Younis. I urge everyone to go. The cardinals with the bird on either end of the best shout out to Necas, dad. He's a cardinal fan too. By the way, there's droppings on the bat. You know what? I mean. That'd be a nice touch kind of update that look a little bit. These birds that are coming out to our deck, and they found this little spot on it like it, then you very territorial after are. They reading the sports page when they sit on your deck pretty much Iraq. Okay. Lot to catch up on the phones are open for the nine o'clock hour we've talked about the Niners and the Vikings eight eight kmby is a phone number. Are you feeling like they have to win this game to get going? Or are you actually already bargaining like me in your head? That'll a loss is okay. But I don't want to put that in the universe. Not really thinking about what? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not going.
